Compliments all night!

Hire Chef Penelope!!! She and her team did an incredible job! The first thing our guests said as soon as we spoke to them was how good the food was!!! That is not common for wedding food. For someone to serve 175 people and the food be amazing is almost unheard of. Highly, highly recommend! I wish I had more pictures to show!

The best of the best

We had an event for 400 +. Everyone was fed in less than 20 min. The meal was extraordinary! The chicken was moist. The buffet and app tables were stunning! The event was beautiful but all anyone could talk about was the food! Many said it was the best they’d ever had! She took care of every detail and was patient! We felt like an a-list client the entire time! Chef P will make your culinary dreams come true! A true master in the kitchen and beautiful soul! We plan to use her again and again!!

Vegan plated dinner

Chef Penelope did an awesome vegan dinner with passed apps. It was so delicious that not one of our non-vegan guests had anything negative to say about it. I still dream about the salad dressing.
Truly fantastic, got tons of compliments, price was much better than other quotes we had. We had a lot of fun at our tasting too. Thanks, Chef!

Fantastic Experience!

Chef Penelope's Catering catered our wedding back in September, and we were thrilled with their service. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the presentation fit seamlessly in with the decor, and the price was very reasonable. We were especially impressed with their offering the option of providing special meals for individual guest who have different dietary restrictions and preferences. We would highly recommend Chef Penelope to cater any event!

Delicious food and friendly service!

What can I say - Chef Penelope’s food is unparalleled! Our wedding guests absolutely raved about everything from the southern-inspired appetizers to the entrees down to even the salad dressing. We were able to enjoy leftovers from the wedding for a couple days and everything tasted just as good as it did on the actual wedding day. Planning a wedding during a pandemic with a constantly changing guest count is difficult, but the team at Chef Penelope’s worked with us through all of the iterations of our guest count, making adjustments up until and including the day before our wedding! They were able to package the extra meals as to-go meals for friends and family staying in town and even allocated some of the unused meal funds to extra appetizers for cocktail hour. Every step of the way, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We absolutely would pick them over and over again!

Amazing Catering Experience!

My husband and I hired Chef Penelope's Catering for our wedding on 11/13/21. Their team provided an amazing catering experience from our menu tasting all the way until our wedding day! They were communicative and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. The food was absolutely amazing and exactly what we had hoped for. They let us customize our menu to reflect us as a couple. We were blown away by how beautiful the interactive food stations were presented. The food, the presentation, and the service were all outstanding. Their staff is friendly, polite, and courteous, and made all our guests feel special the entire evening. Our guests were raving about the food and definitely left our wedding happy and satisfied. We highly recommend hiring Chef Penelope's Catering!

Delicious!

I would highly recommend Chef Penelope's Catering! We were looking for a caterer that could do breakfast for dinner, and Chef Penelope came through for us! Everything was delicious and hot and plentiful! The serving staff was professional and courteous! We had tastings at a couple of other caterers, but when we had our tasting at Chef Penelope's we knew she was the one! Her food had so much more flavor than anyone else! And since our wedding was during COVID, we talked about what we could do to make it safe for everyone, and they came through! Can't recommend enough!

Most Delicious Food

Chef Penelope was absolutely delicious and the perfect fit for my wedding! My fiancé and I walked out of our food tasting and knew right then and there we could cancel our other scheduled tastings cause we had found our caterer. They were professional, friendly, accommodating, very reasonably priced and overall amazing. Their service was great and the food delicious! Their team was so great to work with throughout the whole planning process. They even brought their own décor for the buffet table that went with the theme/style of my wedding. I would absolutely recommend Chef P to other brides!

Sad That Five Stars Is the Limit!

Chef Penelope delivered on top quality in every single category. Truth be told, we knew they were our pick during the tasting trial as soon as we tried their Orange Reisling salad dressing, but they were welcome to keep feeding us after that! ;)

My husband and I were getting married during the pandemic and that just added to the usual stress brought on by weddings in general. They were reassuring in that they would work with us even though our guest list took a significant and depressing hit.

Everything was perfect on our day and our guests could not have raved about the food more than they did--dare I say, it even stole the show ;) In addition to that, our guests spoke VERY highly of the staff on sight as well as the bartenders and said they were always super friendly, made great conversations and jokes with our guests all night! We would highly recommend this company to friends in the area looking for catering for any/all events.

Food Stations and Custom Menu

Chef Penelope and Team-

We are still on cloud 9 after experiencing what was the most special weekend in our lives. Brent and I could not have had a better wedding day and every single detail was a dream come true. There was an incredibly magical energy throughout the day from the moment you drive up the gravel road and see the sun shining on the beautiful horses. I just can’t get over how perfect the day was.

All of our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and I kept telling them that Dolly Parton hired your team for her events so I wasn’t even surprised. The food was definitely a way for us to show off our love for Nashville with the hot chicken appetizers to the little corn bread muffins. Our guests were so full and they felt spoiled! Specifically I was told that this was the only wedding where they didn’t feel cheated out of appetizers and nobody had to hunt down a server at cocktail hour. I wasn’t even there so that made me feel so taken care of by your team.

Fantastic Food

We chose to go with Chef Penelope because our wedding planner recommended her and it was a FANTASTIC decision! The taste test was great and we liked their food so much we paid more for extra things, and ALL of my guest raved about the food and went back for seconds! They made plenty and gave good portions. The chicken was not dry and the beef tenderloin was spot on! I wish they were a restaurant because I would dine in all the time! Trust me you will not regret them!

Absolutely wonderful

We had Chef Penelope cater our wedding in February 2020 and are so happy that we did! Not only did they work with us to create a menu that fit within out budget, the food was amazing! The staff who worked the wedding were absolutely wonderful and even sent an entire crate of food, cake and drinks in our car to the hotel. I absolutely would recommend them for your event!

Great food, great service

Working with Chef Penelope's team was a breeze! They were professional and easy to work with leading up to the wedding. We had a tasting and instantly said yes because it's so delicious! They were prompt on the day of the wedding and the team set everything up perfectly. We were so impressed with the service and everyone loved the food. Great price for the quality of service and food. Highly recommend!

Whatever you want, they'll cook it.. delicious empanadas !!

We selected Chef Penelope's Catering for our wedding October 2019. After searching around, they were one of the few budget friendly with amazing food options in the Nashville area. They were able to cook "empanadas" after giving them the recipe. It was super delicious. They can pretty much do anything. I had so many complements on the food. The staff were super professional. Steven, Catering Manager, was super awesome from day one. Very friendly and fast answering all our questions.
I will recommend you guys 100%.

Wedding Caterer

My husband and I chose Chef Penelope to cater our wedding and couldn’t be more pleased! We had a wonderful experience with them from the tasting to the big day. We got so many compliments on our food (especially the garlic mashed potatoes)! I loved that we were able to shop their selection of serving dishes to fully match our wedding aesthetic.

Our Dream Day!!

We had many wishes of how we wanted our big day to go. People were constantly telling us to not get upset, as there's always something that goes "not as planned" on your wedding day. Not only was our day as close to perfect as we could have hoped for, we know that it was made all the more special because of Chef Penelope's Catering! My husband and I loved the food, naturally, but we were so happy to hear from an overwhelming number of our guests who echoed our sentiment, regarding the food, as well as the service of Chef Penelope's and her crew! Chef Penelope's team made us feel like we were the only ones they were catering for. They were an absolute joy to work with and so so reliable. They truly care about their service and give it 110% when it comes to making your dream a reality. They have exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic and beautifully displayed. We had so many people talk about how amazing the salad dressing and the scalloped potatoes were- highly recommend! We need another event to host so we can use their services again! ;) You should absolutely choose Chef Penelope to cater your next event, they are amazing!!

Chef Penelope was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. They were so helpful and responsive leading up to the big day. I was AMAZED when the Chef herself called me to review our menu and could hear her say "ok we need to pack this...and bring that" to make sure our day was perfect. And if that wasn't already amazing - people are STILL calling my husband and I am telling us it might be the BEST wedding food they have ever eaten. It was delicious! Best advice - go to their tasting events and then build your menu from there. We did it and believe that is why our menu turned out so well. Thank you for everything Chef Penelope!

Chef Penelope's provided an excellent catering experience for our wedding! We were able to go in for a tasting and meet the staff in December before our June wedding. They were very responsive and I talked with the team multiple times over the phone (since I do not live in Nashville) and they were great at answering all of my various question. We had a buffet style meal and they set it up beautifully - the food displays and signage were great! Lastly, they accommodated a last-minute change to our menu a few days before, which we so appreciated. Thank you Chef Penelope!

There are seriously not enough words to describe how AMAZING it was to work with Chef Penelope and her entire team for my wedding day! Being an event planner from San Diego, who chose to have a destination wedding, meant I would be planning from 2,000+ miles away! Well, even with all the miles between us, they made us feel right at home and helped with every little detail!

The food for our wedding was a HUGE priority! My husband is a self proclaimed ‘foodie’ and there was to be ABSOLUTELY NO rubber wedding chicken within a mile of our wedding! Luckily we had Chef Penelope and her team on our side and they worked individually with us to create a custom menu that fit my southern roots with my husbands California tastes!

When it came to our wedding day they not only provided the food, which was hands down the BEST wedding food I have ever had! (That’s really saying something considering I am a wedding planner and have worked 100’s of weddings!) but they also provided our bartending services. Between the amazing food and the hospitable bartenders we could not have asked for a more wonderful and accommodating team to be a part of our special day! — The incredible food is still being talked about by friends and family even 2 months later!

Honestly, no review can do Chef Penelope and her amazing team justice. My only advice is to setup a tasting in person and let the food and hospitality speak for itself!

Working with Chef Penelope's team was a delight. They were communicative, creative, flexible, and so friendly! You can tell their staff LOVES what they do, and is genuinely invested in making your wedding magical. And their food is incredible! Before the wedding, my husband-to-be and I got to visit their warehouse area to play and choose the layout of the buffet tables, with all the decorations. Detail-oriented, caring, and fun, Chef Penelope is a caterer I would recommend for ANY wedding. They are on the more expensive side, but it was worth every penny.

Chef Penelope's Catering was the easiest part of planning our son's rehearsal dinner from out of town! We came to Nashville for a tasting with several catering companies. Chef Penelope's was incredibly professional, organized and the food options were all delicious. After leaving their office, we had confidence that we could trust them to create what we desired and that this was one thing we could mark off our list and not worry about. After making our choices they walked with us every step of the way even as our number grew significantly only weeks before the rehearsal dinner they were catering. They returned my calls and emails immediately, worked with us to stay within our budget and even helped created the atmosphere we had in mind. The food was fabulous and the display perfect.

I would give chef Penelope a thousand stars if I could--she made absolutely every aspect of the planning process easy, enjoyable, and elegant, and we received so many compliments on the food (even from our picky and hard-to-please relatives) that I know she went above and beyond on the day of our wedding. She's hilarious, charming, creative, and super helpful, but most importantly--she put together one of the best meals I've ever had (and she did it for 230 people in a venue without water or cooking space). If I ever have another event of this scale, I will definitely be booking her. She also served more food than promised and came in under budget. A dream to work with!

We planned on going to a couple catering consultations but after meeting Chef Penelope and her team we booked with them right away. They make a menu catered to exactly what we wanted. I HIGHLY recommend Chef Penelope! They worked within my budget and the food was amazing! Everyone loved the Kickin Mac & Cheese and our Hot Chicken Bites & Fried Goat Cheese Balls appetizers. They were very accommodating, let us stop in to sample things with last minute notice, and packed us huge to go boxes of food and put them in our getaway car since they know the Bride and Groom rarely get to eat much. I'd definitely use again. Best possible option for a budget conscious bride!

Chef Penelope's team was amazing to work with. The food and presentation was outstanding; we had guests saying they wanted to lick their plates! Chef P's team also helped us coordinate our rentals and even went out to the warehouse with us to make sure we felt comfortable with everything.

Chef Penelope's catering was an absolute dream to work with. The food was DELICIOUS and they were kind, considerate, honest, and dedicated. Chef P. worked very hard to say "Yes" to every whim and request I could think of. And, they did successfully say "Yes" to everything I asked for including the creation of a veterans discount for us. How wonderful!! The price was fair and affordable, and they were so, so wonderful to work with. They love weddings and brides, and understand the chaos that comes along with weddings. In a world where people often think the worst and don't trust one another if a detail is missed, this amazing Caterer and her staff assumed positive intent throughout the little mix ups and they all remained completely kind and understanding. It was refreshing to be understood, and to feel valued even when I missed some details. If I ever need to hire a caterer for ANYTHING ever again, Chef Penelope's will be an automatic decision! Thank you, Chef P!! My advice: Order the mashed potatoes, they are to die for!

Everyone at Chef Penelope's catering went above and beyond in getting us exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. Not only was the food delicious, the presentation was beautiful as well. There was more than enough food for everyone - which was great as our guests could not stop eating! The food tastings allowed us to try a variety of food options and flexibility to adjust our menu to fit us perfectly. We're just sad that we don't have another event to book them for!

The Chef Penelope Catering Team was amazing!!! At our initial consultation, Chef Penelope went over everything in detail and really put our minds at ease. I had the opportunity to taste the food a few times during our engagement (it was a long one, haha) and, each time, the food was consistently delicious. Every guest RAVED about the food, which is not always the norm at weddings. The staff was always professional and accommodating. Chef Penelope's team also provided my husband and I with a basket that contained appetizers from our cocktail hour, dinner, and cake. I wasn't a believer of the "you don't get to eat" warnings but, trust me, it is true!

We highly recommend Chef Penelope Catering!! We even discussed having her recreate our menu for our 1 year anniversary. :)

Chef Penelope and her team were by far the best throughout my whole wedding planning. They were always quick to respond and answered every question I had in the most detailed manner. My parents attended a food tasting with me and right from the get-go, they fell in love with Chef Penelope and the food. It's nice to not have to worry about the catering piece when you have hundreds of other things to focus on. Everyone raved about the food during my wedding and it was so nice to feel taken care of during the reception. The servers were phenomenal and were on top of everything. I can't express enough how much I loved working with this team (and how much I loved the food) and I will be reaching out to them for any other catering needs I have. You guys are the best!!!!

Chef Penelope was a dream - our families still rave that we had the best wedding food they've had! We went with international food stations and in our first meeting with CP's team, my husband and I told Steven about all of the dishes my husband used to make for me when he was still winning my affection. When I received our preliminary menu, Steven had truly listened to our story and included all of our favorite flavors (down to the mango thai chili risotto that we used to make!). Most of our guests told us later that they had gone back up to the stations for seconds and thirds! CP had setup a private dinner for us and the staff was so attentive and made sure my husband and I never had to ask for a thing. The presentation of our stations was gorgeous and they even made our to-go dinner beautiful! I would absolutely recommend Chef Penelope's team to any Nashville couple - the team was so responsive and upbeat. The whole process was stress-free and delicious!

The food was excellent. The staff was very professional and friendly. The corporate staff was very attentive and responsive, which is a big plus when you are working with multiple vendors. My guests raved about the food, especially the chicken with creamy mushroom sauce (yum). Overall, it was great and I would use Chef Penelope in the future for sure.

Chef Penelope's did an awesome job on the food for our wedding. From cocktail hour through dessert, they did not disappoint. We had tons of guests who have told us the food was delicious - especially the shrimp and grits shooters, kickin mac and cheese and the banana pudding shots!

The whole process with Chef Penelope's was wonderful - they are EXTREMELY helpful and have everything covered. I knew I had nothing to worry about!

My name is Danielle and I was the Wedding Planner on the Timmerman/Barber Wedding this past weekend. I have to tell everyone that the staff at Chef Penelope's Catering is by far some of the best I have had the pleasure of working with. Ann Marie Shields( Catering Direcetor) is a gem! so delightful, happy and helpful. I also just need to take a minute and say how AMAZING Anita and her staff were this past Saturday night. It was an absolute pleasure to work with all of you. Anita is by far one of the hardest working caterer’s I have ever met. She and her staff totally kicked butt in helping my assistant and I flip the room from ceremony to reception. This wasn’t a normal flip either. Each table had about 13 things that needed to be placed on them. My assistant and I had no idea it would be such a task. Without the assistance of Anita and her team. We never would have been ready in time. I mean that whole heartedly. I don’t know what I would have done without them.
I feel blessed to have had been surrounded by such amazing, talented, and helpful people. The food was also incredible!! I highly recommend Chef Penelope's Catering. They make you feel like family. xoxox

We used Chef Penelope's Catering for our wedding and they were one of our favorite vendors to work with! One of the most important elements of a successful party is delicious food and plenty of it. Our tasting with Chef was wonderful and we ended up doing a buffet with enough food for 100 people. We had about 50 to 60 guests total and we only had two plates of food left over the next day! We got so many compliments on the food and many of our guests went up for seconds and thirds. Chef Penelope also catered out cocktail hour and did an excellent job - her staff are all very professional and very helpful. We also hired a bartender through Chef and she concocted a wonderful drink called Rum Punch that had almost all of our guests dancing until the very end of our reception. Ann Marie, the catering director, deserves a special shout out for being such an incredible help! She looked over our rental order and helped us add items that we didn't know we needed, such as extra tables for the buffet and for the bar, as well as an additional table for the drink station. Chef Penelope's Catering definitely earned all five stars!

We loved Chef Penelope's Catering and so did everyone at our wedding! We received so many compliments on the delicious food! Chef Penelope did an amazing job catering my wedding. My guests have raging about the day and have all said "Meki the food was amazing!". It was very important to have really good food and for it to be ranked high along with decor... it was!

The staff was amazing, they truly took care of us. They made sure the wedding party had some food as we transitioned into cocktail hour, they even packed up dinner for David and I. Most bride and grooms don't eat much as people are wanting to congratulate you and take pics, David ate all his food and I was able to eat about half, but we definitely enjoyed it the next day.

We could not have been more pleased with Chef Penelope's Catering! They were so helpful in choosing a menu and offered an opportunity to taste what we chose. Their food is amazingly delicious! Chef Penelope and her wonderful staff went out of their way to make us feel taken care of in our wedding preparation and the day itself. They were more than accommodating, and definitely have this whole thing down to a science, since they ONLY do weddings. That is just what we were looking for. Their quote was thousands of dollars cheaper than any other we received in town, which made me nervous at first, but was clearly no cause for alarm once I tasted the food. Everyone raved about it at the wedding - young and not-so-young. One poor, over-indulgent friend even had to go lay down after having not seconds, but thirds. Yes, really. Decadent, delicious, and well-delivered. Her staff is so attentive (they take care of you all night!), and the buffet displays were just gorgeous. We are so happy we went with Chef Penelope.

Oh my gosh, I wish I had the food we had on our wedding day right now! Literally Chef Penelope went above and beyond all expectations I had, and the food was phenomenal! After the wedding we had family and friends texting and calling us asking what Chef put in her kickin' mac and cheese because they needed the recipe. Chef did all the food from hour d'evours at cocktail hour and all of the dinner food. She even helped me incorporate my moms Hot Pepper Jelly into our food, which was great because I grew up watching my mom make her jelly and I've always loved it. And when we left Mint Springs, Chef had prepared 3 to-go boxes full of all the food from the night for Ben and I to enjoy. (because we all know the bride and groom doesn't really get to eat at the reception, too many people to talk too!) But Chef did a fantastic job, and her whole team really made us feel so special. I would recommend Chef Penelope to every bride, she will truly customize and make your meal memorable. Thank you Chef Penelope and team for everything-- we loved every single bite!

Unfortunately I discovered after the fact that we had forgotten to bring a box down to the bar with signature drink necessities in it. However, the staff was creative and quick witted and went ahead and made their own puree for the bar for the signature drinks so I am SO thankful for that. The staff is great and I would also like to commend Tina (one of our bartenders) specifically too. Apparently quite a few of my industry guests knew her from working with her and they had nothing, but nice things to say about her. Chef Penelope and her team were an amazing asset to my wedding! The food was spectacular, and their bartenders and waiters could not have been any better. We had a chicken and waffle bar, and our guests loved the uniqueness of this option. Chep Penelope and her staff were great to work with. They offered what seemed like and endless list of food options. Thankfully our daughter knew exactly what she wanted for the buffet at her wedding, and so decisions were easily made. Our daughter was an out of town bride with little availabilty to meet with Chef and her staff. They made themselves available at our daughter's convenience and were always glad to do so. The food at the wedding was fantastic. If they had to make a choice, I think our guests liked the mac and cheese best, but really they enjoyed all of the food. Chef Penelope's Catering team did a fantastic job with the food for our wedding! They were incredibly responsive before we even signed a contract with them, providing multiple menus for us to work with as we tried to fit everything into our budget. They had a great selection of dishes to choose from, but were also willing to make adjustments or create anything else we may have wanted to add to the menu. Chef Penelope herself even went over the final menu and details with me, and gave me her personal phone number so I could contact her if I had any questions or concerns. She really cared about making our day the best she could. And the food for the wedding was delicious!! A number of guests made a point of telling us so!! The team was also so kind as to pack a little basket for my husband and I to take with us at the end of the evening that had two more plates of food, cake, and a bottle of wine. It was such a nice gesture, and we were very grateful for it when we got back to our hotel room in the early morning hours and feeling hungry!! Chef Penelope's catering was definitely a great choice!!

I had a wonderful time working with the Chef Penelope crew. My fiance and I changed our minds a few times about what food to have (it was all amazing), and we needed some special vegetarian dishes as well. The team was very easy to work with the whole time!
The servers at our wedding were all very professional and polite, and willing to go the extra mile to help make everything go smoothly. I can't remember the name of the lady who helped me, specifically, but she always made sure that I had a glass of water (even offering to bring it from my table to where I was since I was constantly walking around and talking with people)!
Couldn't have asked for better help, or better food! They even packed us to-go boxes so we could have something to eat after the wedding ended!

The food was delicious and Penelope and her staff were a pleasure to work with. They are very reliable and professional! The presentation was also very nice. Anytime we needed anything they were super accommodating. She even made a recipe of my mom’s that I wanted to have in the wedding and it was fabulous. I would defiantly recommend Chef Penelope!

Chef Penelope catering was AMAZING!!! She catered to our every wish!! We had a destination wedding in Nashville as we were travelling from California and New York. Weddings in these states are practically 100% plated meals. We were a little skeptical when we found out that primary option we had was a buffet style dinner. Dead wrong! This was without a doubt the BEST wedding food that we’ve ever had, from taste to presentation. Instead of an overcooked piece of steak or a dried out piece of chicken with a couple of veggies on the side, we had an absolute feast where you could dine to your hearts content! I have to single out the kickin' mac and cheese, the bacon green beans, the roasted potatoes, the lemon capered chicken, and the beef carving station - everything was delicious and plentiful and the presentation was beyond beautiful. Not your typical buffet! Trust me, if you go with Chef Penelope, your guests will be talking about their meals for days to come! She was wonderful to work with, so accommodating, listened to all of our questions and concerns and completely put us at ease with her process. She also provided bar service that was top notch as well. Trust me you cannot go wrong here!

Chef Penelope, Anita and the crew were great. There were compliments all night on the food. Not only was it delicious but it was beautifully displayed. They were kind and sensitive to the needs of the family and to those with special needs. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and will use them again.

Chef Penelope and her staff are wonderful! Her dishes are delicious and she has tastings for you to come and sample dishes to select for your event. One of my favorite things about Penelope is her enthusiasm and passion for food. She is personally invested in every event! And Her set ups and decor are ABSOLUTELY outstanding!! She doesn't cut any corners.

She is very willing to work with any budget, and stick to it. I appreciated that. I found her to be very responsive, although not overly concerned with minute planning/business details which is a good balance to us obsessive brides, but the details of her FOOD are excellent! A couple of weeks/days before the wedding, I was calling her every other afternoon asking questions about if this dish fit the theme of the wedding or if we should add this dish, or switch it for another one. I think I changed by chicken dish four or five times in a few days and she was so patient with me and my, in hindsight, silly concerns. She is very patient and has a great sense of humor. The bartenders did a great job, too.

I wish the chocolate fountain had more items to dip in it (maybe get a list of what will be provided) and wish the strawberries were whole instead of sliced up. Also, we had to find our own cocktail recipe and I wish the bartenders would have told us the ingredients and amounts we needed (we were kind of on our own with it).

Chef Penelope is very generous in everything she does, responds to calls, and really provides service and food that no one can beat at that price.

Nashvillians if you have not met Chef Penelope, you need to. We came to Nashville from Louisiana for our daughter's wedding at Mint Springs Farm. We take our food and drink very serious and I was hoping that we could incorporate some of our local culture in the reception. Penelope was the caterer for our wedding and I feel she could compete in any cook-off with any chef's from our area. From the pass-arounds of Gumbo Shooters to an entree of Cajun stuffed pork loin, she had our guests wanting more and even her recipes.
She needs a rating of 5+. I would highly recommend her for any party needs as she has the ability to adapt menus to your tastes.

Chef Penelope is the greatest caterer in Nashville! Food is creative, delicious, beautiful, reasonably priced, all homemade and gourmet. Her staff is impeccable and in tune with the vibe of the party. I plan dozens of catered events a year and Penelope is my first choice every time.

I had the pleasure of working with Chef Penelope and her wonderful team to prepare the bar services for my son's and his bride's wedding. Chef Penelope took great care to personally answer my questions and to offer suggestions about how the bar service would work most effectively. Chef Penelope was on sight during the entire event and managed every aspect of the bar service and the toast to the bride and groom. Her team was friendly and constantly in motion to serve guests. I am so grateful for Chef Penelope and her team as they created a wedding for my son and his bride that was a spectacular and enjoyable event.

Chef Penelope and her team were amazing all the way around! We heard SO many of our guests rave over the food. Dechari was especially accommodating and fun to work with. Chef Penelope

My daughter’s wedding was December 8, 2012 at The Red House in Franklin, TN.
Chef Penelope did all of our catering and I can’t say enough good things about her and her entire staff. We opted for hors d'oeuvres instead of a meal and the suggestions Chef Penelope made were perfect. The food was amazing. So many of the guests came up to me to tell me how good everything was.

I had also bought some cups, plates, plastic wear etc for the bar and the cake tables and I just handed them to Chef Penelope and she made sure they were placed where they needed to be. It really helped me out a lot.

I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect. I would highly recommend Chef Penelope to anyone who needs a caterer in the Nashville area.

Chef Penelope is just fabulous. Not only is the food so yummy, she catered to my guests allergies. I had one guest with a nut allergy and one with a dairy allergy. She made a separate dish non dairy, and was cautious with any nut contamination. If I had any questions, they were quick to respond on email. Everything was just perfect!

I asked for a fresh southern/farmer's market type menu and Chef Penelope nailed it! I heard so many good things from all of our family & friends about how delicious everything was and people repeatedly used the exact word "fresh" to describe it because of the great produce and ingredients utilized. Several people said it was the BEST WEDDING FOOD they had ever had!!! The presentation was fabulous as well.

I feel like the food leaves behind one of the strongest impressions with the guests (besides the ceremony of course!) and I couldn't be happier we went with Chef Penelope. The staff was also very professional and helpful and at the end of the night they even prepared a to-go basket of food for us with sparkling cider and a sunflower! How cute?! Overall the experience exceeded my expectations.

Chef Penelope and Dechari were so extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process! Chef penelope was very flexible and willing to work with our budget, as well as what our overall vision for the wedding. During the reception she went above and beyond what she needed to do and went around asking guests if they wanted/needed anything else. And her food was AMAZING! I loved all of it and we got so many compliments about how great our food and menu were. At the end of the night she even made my husband and I a picnic basket with all the food that we ate as a midnight snack :) She was absolutely lovely and I am so extremely glad we chose her!!!!

I wanted a unique "southern" style menu. After speaking with several caterers, I contacted Chef Penelope and she designed a menu to fit exactly what I wanted. The presentation of the food was beautiful, and the food itself was delicious. Chef Penelope was there personally to see that everything went perfect, and even the guests commented on her professionalism and how attentive her staff was. I would highly recommend Chef Penelope!

My daughter wanted a beautiful fall wedding with food that everyone would remember as being absolutely wonderful. We wanted food that would appeal to all types but with a presentation that looked completely upscale and that is what we accomplished. I only wish I could have more parties so that I could have Chef Penelope and her staff cater. They are professional in everything they do. I have had so many friends comment on the food and the staff. She made that part of our wedding so easy.

Chef Penelope and her team are awesome. She makes the BEST food (our guests RAVED about the white truffle and asiago mac and cheese and the delicious Carnitas station!

Penelope is sweet and fun to work with and she truly cares that you are happy. They set up the food in such a beautiful way.

Chef Penelope and her staff were amazing! The food tasted delicious and we got lots of compliments on it. The lamb chop lolipops were out of this world. :) Her staff was great - very interactive with our guests and helpful. She was very helpful in coming up with a menu that had both my taste and my grooms. She even came up with a 'Smores bar for the light night crowd - that totally won everyone over. We were extrememly satisfied!

Chef Penelope was absolutely fantastic to work with! Not only was she so fun to work with, but her food was incredible too! Many of my friends have recently been married and they were so jealous of our food. Chef Penelope and her staff went above and beyond for us! We wanted to personalize a certain food station because it 100% represented us as a couple. We packed up a tote full of fun pictures and other items and Penelope made sure that they made it onto the station table and then packed into the tote at the end of the night! She was wonderful! We could not have been more pleased!! We actually still sit and talk about how much we want to go back to that night so that we can eat again! :)

Chef Penelope and her team were absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Penelope was always easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to emails and phone calls. She is extremely friendly and does her job well. It is easy to see that she has a lot of experience in event catering and her attention to detail and professionalism was wonderful. I felt completely confident having her handle the catering for my wedding. She and her staff were on time, fulfilled their duties (and more!) and had everything completely cleaned up and removed before I even realized it! They were so quick and courteous and we had so many compliments on the food and the staff. I was so happy we got the chance to work with Chef Penelope!

I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to work with Chef Penelope! We had a reception with around 200 guests and they all have raved about the food since the wedding. My husband and I were very happy with our initial meeting with Penelope and never worried a moment during the wedding process. Great food, great service, and a very down to earth professional catering company. We look forward to the day when we can work with them again!
