Delicious and Beautiful

Checkerboard Cheesecake did a fabulous job of making both a beautiful cookie table and cake & cheesecake display for our wedding. Everyone commented on how delicious the cookies and cakes were. We also had plenty left over for people to take home. It was also within our budget and very reasonable when compared to the prices other bakeries want for just cupcakes. Would not change a thing! Check out their instagram since it their work absolutely lives up to those pictures!

Checkboard Cheesecake did an amazing job of creating an outstanding dessert table for our daughter's wedding at the McKinley Grand in Canton, Ohio. Theresa was great to work with - You can tell she loves what she creates and she should! We had 1250 delicious desserts for our very appreciative guests! We are so pleased that we chose her for our most special occasion. Her daughter is very friendly and helpful as well. Thank you so much Checkboard Cheesecake!!

What a fantastic bakery! Our cake was beautiful and delicious! Theresa is extremely talented, we found a picture of a cake we liked and she was able to recreate it and add our own customization. The bakery was super easy to work with, and the cake tasting was a blast! We got rave reviews from our guests, too. I will definitely be using them again for my future cake needs.

She really cares about designing the perfect cake for your wedding! She made the most beautifully simple and delicious cassata cake and all my guests loved it! They still talk about it!

My wedding cak was not only absolutely gorgeous but also delicious!! I could not have imagined a more perfect cake! Very friendly staff and great service. I would recommend Checkerboard Cheesecake for any event!

The different cakes I got for each tier were amazing!!!! I loved the sampling session and we didn't feel rushed. She has great ideas and my final cake was breath taking!!!!

We wanted to get a cheap wedding cake and kinda did a DIY by partnering with Checkerboard Cheesecake. I printed out a picture of the cake I want (a striped sort of pound cake from what we could tell) and Checkerboard made the two tiers, gave us the materials to put it together, and then we bought and placed the strawberries after putting it together. It was a great deal and we really appreciated that they helped us out without having to do the entire cake themselves. It definitely saved us some money and the cake looked great!

Absolutely the best and most beautiful cake anyone had ever seen. It tasted amazing as well. We were so happy with how it turned out. Theresa was great to work with.

Checkerboard Cheesecake made life easy, and that is so important when you have so many other decisions to make. It was the only baker we went to, becuase their cake samples were great and they were able to replicate a simple cake design I had a photo of. They delivered the cake on time and their prices could not be beat. The cake looked beautiful and tasted great.

I honestly do not remember the woman's name who owns Checkerboard Cheesecake however she was wonderful and down to earth. She truly made our cake a beautiful creation. She took samples of our colors and integrated flowers into the final creation. It was gorgeous and I would recommend her to anyone who was having a small reception to a large, we had 400 guests and everyone loved it.

I can't express enough how much we loved our wedding cake and cookies. Our guests were raving about everything weeks later. The cake was not only beautiful but incredibly delicious. It was Moist and flavorful. The cookies were beautiful and delicious. Rarely do you find someone with as much talent and passion as Checkerboard Cheesecake. They are professional and fun. They made our experience very enjoyable!

Theresa is a genius when it comes to making mouth watering cakes and desserts (she also does an amazing job with appetizers as well). Not only did Theresa take the time to understand our vision, she is reliable, flexible, creative and shared an abundance of options for the Wedding Cake and desserts. She didn't miss a detail from the set up, to providing all of the trays, stands and staging elements and that had our guests in awe of the dessert and appetizer tables all evening long. As a bride who planned a wedding from 5 states away, from the moment I walked into Checkerboard Cheesecake I knew Theresa could be relied on to make our Wedding Cake/dessert table and appetizer table truly spectacular and she did all of that and more.

The prices for this place are probably hard to beat, especially when you consider how delicious the cake was! It was absolutely to die for! I wasn't sure what I wanted really and I only had a few vague ideas but from that she put together a beautiful cake that tasted great. We also got cookies for the reception and we got nothing but raves from the guests about how good it all was.

Tehy made a beautiful cake!! It was reasonably priced and theh cake was absolutely delicious. They are very unique. One thing I would suggest thoguh is get everything in writing. She is a little unorganized in terms of set up on the day of your wedding. They table was not set up as we discussed but it was still abeaultiful display and then cake is outstanding!!!! She has a unique style and is well worth it!

I love the cake from Checkerboard, but she can be a bit difficult to get ahold of. Store hours are not the best for anyone who works a 9-5 job. I was a little worried about how my cake would look because I didn't know if we were on the same page. But it turned out to be everything & more than what I expected! Tasted great as well as looking beautiful!

We purchased a pumpkin cheesecake wedding cake for our October wedding. We had approx. 120 guests. The cake was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!! Best cheesecake!
The prices are extremely reasonable (including the delivery charge) and the products are unique - I couldn't find anyone else in the area who would provide a comparable cake.
However... The customer service has a lot to be desired - several phone calls were never returned, had difficulty making appointments, and was not provided receipts. The owner is very nice and well intentioned but very disorganized. My advise to any bride would to get everything in writing. And to go to the shop whenever possible instead of corresponding via e-mail or phone. Best of luck, but consider yourself warned. he,he!
