Perfect venue all around!

Everything about this venue was perfection! The food, service, beauty, and espeically joyce made chateau Del Mar the best wedding venue experience I could have asked for! Thank you so much!

Beautiful venue

Loved the way our party turned out here. The hall was elegant, the decor was beautiful, and the management was great to work with to ensure we had everything the way we dreamed of. Thank you!!

If your planning on having over 250 guest this is the place to have your event. I had 275 guest for my wedding and we got the largest room the Barcelona. The venue is already decorated with beautiful decorations and amazing chandeliers throughout the halls. The price is just perfect as you will not be able to find another venue for the price. The workers helped me throughout the planning and I was able to set up the night before as no one had rented the room. All my guest were in aww and couldnt stop talking about how beautiful the venue was. We upgraded to the premium liquor package which included top shelf patron, Hennessy, etc. Everything was just perfect!

This was the most amazing and perfect venue for our wedding, it looked gorgeous when we got there, my husband insisted that we still look around for more venue to make sure this is the right venue for us, so after looking around, I knew that Chateau Del Mar was right for us. Arusha was amazing and helped us thru every step of the way from matching our chair covers to or exact wedding colors to helping us with our floor plan. I would definitely recommend this venue and will do business there again. Thanks so much Chateau Del Mar for everything, our family and friends can't stop talking about it!!!!

What an absolutely amazing vendor to work with not to mention the breath taking facility and golf course! We had our big traditional Polish wedding, with 410 guests on September 10, 2016 at Chateau Del Mar. The menu we chose was plated Filet Mignon, Chicken breast with gravy, rice, double baked potato and medley veggies. Prior to our meal we had mushroom soup and garden salad. Our coordinating manager Joyce was so wonderful to work with and was always so accommodating from vodka bottles, shot glasses, and two types of soda on the tables to allowing us to have our own liquor, sweets and traditional Polish appetizer tables. All table covers and napkins were ordered through the banquet hall and came together beautifully, This place was everything that my husband and I have ever dreamed of for our special day. If we were to do it all again we would do it in a heart beat using all of the same vendors. A+++ all around.

Chateau Del Mar is a beautiful place to have a wedding. From the time of booking this venue, I have nothing but great things to say about the office staff. Both Joyce's were wonderful to work with. Even though, it rained on my wedding (7/12/2014). We had the ceremony inside versus the outdoor area. Everything turned out beautifully. The ONLY complaint I have is the quality of the food could be a lot better. I wasn't to please with it.

I had my wedding in the Barcelona room at Chateau del Mar. It is, by far, the biggest room I've ever been to for a wedding. I had 270 guests and it neither felt crowded nor sparse. The chandeliers are beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and the food, although we had the basic wedding fare, was delicious the day of the event. The office ladies were wonderful to work with, always had a smile for my husband and I, and never seemed agitated at my many questions and requests. Always remember to ask for options or price adjustments, as they are very accommodating and want your event to be the way you've always dreamed of. The grounds outside of our reception room is the Hickory Hills golf course, and my pictures out there turned out gorgeous. We did have some party crashers, but in a venue with multiple party rooms, that may be unavoidable. I'd recommend this place to anyone, specifically the Barcelona room.

My wedding was at Chateau Del mar this past June and it was PERFECT. I worked with Aushra and she did everything perfectly. The pictures look amazing and the venue was divine!!

My wedding was 11/1/2014. The whole experience was awesome from the time we stopped by to see their venue to the end of our reception. All the ladies in the office are fabulous! They were always very helpful answering in questions offering their expertise....I have nothing negative to say about them. Everyone raved about how beautiful the room was, and I must agree it was GORGEOUS! I highly recommend Chateau Del Mar and would definitely patronize them again!

The staff at Chateau were so accommodating to the many special dietary needs in the bunch. They allowed us all the time we needed before the event to decorate and personalize, which was great. The food was good, and you can't beat the value!

My sister got married here 10 years ago and I decided to have our wedding here also. Everything went smoothly and the staff was great. Joyce and the rest of the management did a great job. Food was delicious also. Only real complaint is that we wanted to stay an extra half hour and the owner wanted to charge an additional 500 dollars. So we just ended the reception at what we agreed upon on the contract.

The venue was beautiful and created a memorable wedding for us. We had both the ceremony and reception there. Both Joyce and Aushra are great employees who assisted us in more ways than one. All of the employees made our wedding day a true success!

The folks at this venue were so very helpful. Even when thigs got off schedule they were so accomodating. they even came to comfort me while I was nervously waiting to go down the aisle. They were a wonderful bunch of folks!

Chateau is a beautiful venue. I had my reception here and was in the Columbia Room. The ceilings and chandeliers are grand. Spiral staircase to restrooms are really nice, there's elevator to accomadate those in wheelchair. Joyce, Osha, Venetia, all the banquet coordinaters, have been very helpful from the very beginning. Staff was friendly and dinner was served promptly. Received many compliments from my guests on how beautiful the venue is....and a few were not aware Chateau Del Mar even existed so thats why I'm writing review. Had a wonderful wedding here and highly recommend :)

From the moment I stepped into Chateau Del Mar to view the property, I knew it was the one. We booked the barcelona room which is exactly what I always envisioned. It had windows from floor to ceiling and a beautiful chandelair in the middle of the room. Joyce was our contact there and she was the nicest and most professional woman I have ever worked with. She accomodated us with our hectic schedule and never made us feel unwelcome. We took our pictures on the golf course and courtyard and they turned out beautiful!! It was perfect and stress free!!

This was a very beautiful hall. My sister had her wedding there 10 years ago and I loved it back then so I decided to have mine there and I am very pleased with my decision. Outstanding.

Everything at Chateau Del Mar was great. Our original venue -coughLexingtonHousecough- Cancelled on us months before our wedding. We called Chateau Del Mar and they were soooo accommodating. The venue coordinators couldn't have been nicer, the food was delicious, and the place looked beautiful. They even let us bring in our own craft beer (Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin') Honestly, the only thing that went wrong at all was that a few vegetarian/gluten free meals didn't get delivered to tables, but frankly, the whole day went so smoothly that that was negligible. Can't recommend enough!!

The Chateau Del Mar easy a beautiful venue and have excellent food. It is very affordable and gives your wedding and reception a touch of class and elegance within a reasonable budget. I received wonderful service from the staff throughout my planning.

They have been a pleasure to work with during the process. We live in Central Illinois and they were always accessible.

I would recommend visiting the venue because the website is not impressive.

The only bad thing that I have to say is that they locked us out of the building when the night was over and all of us were not in the shuttle to go back to the hotel yet. We called the next day and they apologized and said that that should have never happened. I am not sure what they are going to do for us but I think they may do something. But other than that it was beautiful and the food was great!

The Chateau Del Mar was willing to work with us every step of the way while my husband and I were planning. Everything was excellent on our wedding day, everyone loved the food. The wait staff was polite and efficient, tables didn't have to wait long for their food to be served. The night was perfect!

I had my reception here. Joyce was my contact and was WONDERFUL. She was great, always taking my the time to answer my questions and any concerns I had. The wedding and reception went smoothly without any problems. There was another reception going on and I never even heard any of the music coming from the other room. The food was great!

The only thing I do not care for is how they CHARGE for everything. Things like chairs (if you are having an outside wedding), the bridal suite, and even centerpieces!

I highly recommend the Chateau Del Mar to anyone. We had a budget of $10,000 and we were still able to invite everyone we wanted, have chair covers, etc. The food was great and we are very happy that we choose them. Well worth looking into

This place was gorgeous. My contact person was not that great but owner was awesome. She really took care of me when I had issue. They really wanted it to be a special day and offered discounts to help fit my budget.

I would recommend the largest hall. Even though it is more pricey and you need more guests - it's worth it.

The Chataeu del Mar is beautiful. Their prices are great. The managers are very Nice. Unfortunately, their staff isn't very good. The bathrooms were filthy all night, the servers weren't friendly, and I had to continually be asking them to clean up, etc.

The hall itself looks beautful and Joyce is a pleasure to work with.
However, the owner was NOT flexible AT ALL! He wanted us to guarantee and pay for 300 guests when we told him that we only had 250. Basically, we wound up paying for 50 extra people that were never at our wedding.

My wedding and ceremony was beautiful, but everyone got sick after eating food there. I also believe that a staff member entered the locked bridal room when the party was occuring because my brand new tennis shoes went missing.

The decorations were pretty. That is about all I have good to say about Hickory Hills Country Club that is part of Chateau Del Mar. My daughter had her reception there on Friday. The wait staff was extremly rude. The bartender yelled at myself, my 8 year old my 16 year old and many other guests. The groom has a broken femur and is in a wheel chair. They rushed throught everything and when he needed a break they screamed at me when I asked for a bag of ice. They had a high chair for the flower girls but would not get her a place setting. She had to use my salad fork and tea spoon. They took our food while we were still eating yet served the next table without clearing it. We were not allowed to drink anything during dinner as they closed the bar as soon as the weddng party arrived and was announced. Couldnt even get a water or pop. They cut the cake without anyone knowing. I (the brides mother) was in the bathroom with the brides 2 year old sister (the flowergirl) while cake was being served. They either never put cake by our chairs or took them before we got back because I never saw any. When I asked about it because the baby saw some sitting on a tray they told me that there wasnt any cake left and we could not have any. I was left with a screaming and very unhappy flower girl. I just found out today that after the reception they were passing out huge chunks of cake to random guests. Pieces that were bigger than the bride and groom piece to take. The bartender spit all over me and refused to give me coke, water or juice. This place is a joke. Workers acted like we were an inconvienieve and they just wanted to go home. Horrible horrible place!!!
