Wow! I am blown away! Had our wedding three weeks ago at Tivoli Italian Villa with Chasing Light (Russ) as our photographer. We are still in awe of the incredible work that he did and cannot recommend CL enough! Of all the vendors to book when wedding planning, photography scared me the most! I knew how important these pictures would be, as they would likely be the only way to capture the memories and feelings of the special day. I am SO THANKFUL that we went with Chasing Light, and can relive our wedding day with such beautiful photos for years to come. Russ was a delight to work with during the whole process. His energy, humor, and clear communication made the nerve-wracking process of taking photos soooo smooth. He had such a vision and though of things that I even forgot to ask for, but am so grateful to have documented! He went above and beyond, even doing my veil and bustle so it would look flawless in photos! We also really appreciated having the engagement shoot included in the package. Due to personal logistics, we weren't able to do photos until about two weeks before the wedding, but I am so glad we did! The photos turned out spectacular and it made wedding day feel very familiar and fresh. All our family and friends keep telling us just how beautiful our photos turned out! We had the BEST experience with our photographer, videographer, and their amazing team. From the moment they arrived, they brought such a calming, positive energy to our wedding day. They kept us on track without ever making us feel rushed, and they made every moment fun and effortless.
Their professionalism was unmatched, they stepped in whenever we needed direction, helped ease any stress, and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The turnaround time was impressive, and the final photos and video were absolutely beautiful.

There are so many things that we loved about Russ and Clara but the bottom line is, we couldn't be happier with our decision to have them as part of our wedding.
It goes without saying that we couldn't be happier about how our wedding photos and video came out. They did such a great job of not only capturing the moment, but also the feeling and emotion behind every moment. On top of all that, they were also able to turn around the photos and videos so quickly which is underrated as that usually is not the experience for most other vendors.
Where they go above and beyond however, is what really makes them special. They are true professionals in the sense that they know how to work with their audience--whether it's making the bride and groom feel comfortable, managing bridal parties, or dealing with a difficult parent, they really know how to get the most out of everyone.
They are so friendly, passionate, and simply who you want in your corner on your special day--couldn't recommend them enough! -

We cannot say enough amazing things about Chasing Light! From start to finish, they were incredible to work with. We opted for the engagement + wedding photo and video package, and it was worth every penny. Pricing is reasonable, and the turnaround time for photos is lightning fast—we had ours back within just 14 days!
What truly sets Chasing Light apart is their expertise in the wedding industry. Honestly, they were just as good—if not better—than our day-of coordinators. Despite the day running behind schedule, they worked seamlessly to adjust, prioritize, and make sure we got the most important shots. While we couldn’t take all the family photos I’d originally hoped for, their ability to pivot and focus on what mattered most to us was truly impressive.

Everything worked out wonderful! All the photos and videos capture every precious moment and they will last a lifetime. The photos are edited in a timeless fashion and are gorgeous. They also took our engagement photos free of charge and we really like those.
We loved that we get the raw+edited photos and video which makes it easy to make amateur edits for IG reels and YouTube.
Overall it was a great experience and they delivered tremendous value for the price. -

My husband and I recently got married in San Diego, CA and I found Chasing Light on a different wedding planning website. Lets just say I wouldn't have chosen anyone else! Russ and Clara were literally amazing. The package we chose included an engagement shoot, wedding day photo and video, plus some other awesome perks and were so happy with how they turned out. I loved the idea of them doing including an engagement shoot because it gave us a chance to work with them before our big day to make sure we were a good fit and we could get a chance to see their work for ourselves. The shoot was so much fun and Russ was amazing at giving direction. He was extremely conscious about how the lighting would look in certain photos and where we should stand to get the best photos (hence the name chasing light :) . Then on our wedding day we opted to have them do our photography and videography and we couldn't have asked for more! We had a decently strict timeline to get all of the photos we wanted taken and Russ and Clara really stuck to it but never my Husband or I feel like we were being rushed. They caught some amazing candid shots and videos of us and our guests dancing and we will cherish them forever! They asked us a bunch which shots we wanted and really catered to what we were looking for which really just made our day that much more special. We got our photos back super quick and the video back not too much long after that so they work pretty quick. So If you're looking for a photo and video company for your big day, I cannot recommend them enough!! -

One of the best decisions we made (aside from getting married!)
Our experience with Chasing Light was honestly surreal. They are beyond talented, so easy to work with, and captured some of the most beautiful/intimate wedding photos and video we've ever seen. Their portfolio blew us away to begin with, but seeing our vision come to life in an equally spectacular way was so exciting. We have over a dozen photos framed, and even got asked by a stranger if they could buy one of the photos when we were printing them! The wedding video leaves everyone who watches it speechless. Work with them!! It will be one of the best decisions you make in your wedding planning journey. -

Working with the Chasing Light team was such a pleasure and honor! Russ and Clara were always very responsive and great at making sure all our requests were fulfilled. They gave great directions and were very organized. They made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and truly made our big day go by so smoothly. Their attention to detail, ability to scout the best photo opportunities, and friendliness were so appreciated. Their quality of work truly made us speechless when we got our pictures and video back, which was finished in a very timely manner. Choosing Chasing Light to capture our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made! From our initial consultation to the final delivery of our photos and videos, the team was professional, attentive, and dedicated to ensuring that every moment of our special day was beautifully preserved. They took the time to understand our vision and preferences, and their collaborative approach made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process.
We had our engagement photoshoot 1 week before the wedding with Clara - our photographer. From the first minute there was a click and working with her was very easy and intuitive.
On the day of our wedding, both Clara and Vance seamlessly blended into the background, allowing us to enjoy every moment without feeling intrusive. Their ability to capture genuine emotions was remarkable, and the resulting photos and videos are priceless treasures that we will cherish for a lifetime. When we were looking for photos/video for the first time, I truly couldn't believe my eyes and sometimes was like "How is it even possible?!"
In addition to their exceptional talent behind the lens (which are of a very-very high quality), the team at Chasing Light was a joy to work with from start to finish. One of the guests came to me and told me, that after working with our team his fear for the camera went away. They made him comfortable, relaxed and he was truly enjoying it. I also want to mention the communication with Russ that was smooth and professional. Photos were delivered pretty soon; and while the video took longer - it is truly a piece of art. We had both Russian and English speaking guests at the wedding and I have no idea how they managed to translate and blend it all together in such a great film. I cried:) as well as almost everyone who saw it.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to use Chasing Light to photograph and video our wedding. Russ is a real artist and a true professional through and through. The moments that he and his team were able to capture are so intimate, special, and downright impressive given that both my husband and I are the two most awkward photograph posers we know. The fact he was able to make us look somewhat respectable is all the proof you need!
What we enjoyed most is that Russ truly takes the time to get to know your personality and then suggests photos that compliment you. This certainly shows in the final product. For us, that was shooting somewhere in nature with our dog, and Russ immediately suggested Joshua Tree, a perfect match. We met him for a sunset shoot, and despite having only ever really taken selfies together, Russ made my husband and me feel so comfortable in our skin and encouraged us to be completely ourselves. He climbed up rocks, stopped traffic, and befriended our pup all for the sake of the perfect shot. It is awesome to watch him work. His attention to detail and passion for his craft is what you hope for in someone shooting your big day. Perhaps most importantly, he made it fun and was a joy to be around.
Come our wedding day, we felt so comfortable with Russ and knew he'd do an incredible job. Still, he somehow managed to blow our expectations out of the water! He captured so many special moments and details that we'll cherish forever and all the wild, fun ones as well. He didn't skip a beat when our crazy dog went swimming behind our ceremony or when the flower girl ran away. He got it all and his work helped paint the story of our day in a special way that we feel only he could. As we looked over his footage, we found ourselves constantly saying "wow, how did he do that?!" I think that's pretty special to get from your photographer and cameraman. The emotion he is able to capture and convey in his work is wonderful, and the best part is he does it all while making sure you're having fun and completely at ease. We're so grateful Russ went above and beyond to make our wedding so special and so perfectly us.

My now husband and I booked Chasing Light for both our engagement shoot as well as our wedding.
His quality of work was evident from the start by the various galleries and videos viewable on his website as well as photos shown on Instagram, but he truly blew us away with the photos and videos delivered to us and gave us priceless memories we will cherish forever.
I even added a Boudoir shoot with his wife, Clara, after seeing how well the engagement shoot photos turned out and was not disappointed. She crushed it and made me feel so confident and comfortable!
I highly recommend Chasing Light and can't emphasize enough the value in their work. The products delivered far exceeded our expectations and will be loved forever as they're edited in such a timeless fashion that will never go out of style. -

This is a long review and I apologize but it is hard to summarize how amazing our experience with Chasing Light Photography was from start to finish. As an interracial couple with a diverse wedding party, it was our top priority to find an experienced photographer that could ensure everyone would look their best. Russ and Clara are the talented duo behind the lens and function as a well-oiled machine. Even when we got behind getting ready, they ensured that we got all of the photos we asked for. My husband and I are admittedly not comfortable in front of the camera and the Chasing Light team provided such clear direction that we were able to get better photos of us than I ever thought was possible. When you get married, it can feel so overwhelming because there will always be things that you don’t think of, but the knowledge and experience of this team made our day seamless. Beyond their skills with cameras and lighting, the team was so thoughtful with other aspects of the wedding. From Russ having bobby pins and putting in my veil to Clara having safety pins that helped with a dress malfunction at the reception, they were an integral part of our day. We couldn't be more delighted with the results, and we wholeheartedly recommend these photographers to anyone seeking to have their wedding day beautifully and authentically documented. -

I had an AMAZING experience with Chasing light. Russ spent a good hour on the phone with me to answer all of my questions, and explaining how Chasing Light works. Clara ran the show at my wedding (THANK YOU!). She facilitated the post-ceremony photos and made sure to get photos of every combination of families on both sides that we could have wanted, quickly. She made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident to take our photos after the ceremony (not my best skill, lol). I couldn't be happier with my experience with Chasing light. Russ and the Chasing Light team were FABULOUS.
Number 1: the pictures and videos turned out incredible. I can’t stop looking at them!! I cry every time I watch the video and it so beautifully captured our day. It’s so hard to be in the moment at your own wedding and watching our video really allowed me to solidify those feelings and memories ❤️ The angles and lighting in every picture and video shot show what an amazing team they have!
Number 2: They are efficient and effective! Both for our engagement and wedding shoot we unintentionally ended up with a less time than we expected, but Russ got every shot and did it well! I never had to worry or feel like I need to direct. He is a Pro!
All in all 10/10 and would book again! -

Photos are one of the only tangible things you take from your wedding day and I'm beyond happy with our decision to go with Chasing Light. They were a dream to work with, from our engagement photos, through wedding day. Every moment was captured perfectly and we are obsessed with how the photos turned out.
Russ was awesome at giving direction and making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. He is confident in his work and knew all the best photo/lighting spots as soon as we got to the locations. Plus, he makes it fun!
I've also received so many compliments from our bridal party and family on how smoothly the wedding day went with photo taking and how much they loved the Chasing Light team too! -

Chasing Light was excellent for our wedding on 9/2/23 & we're so glad that we chose them. We worked with Russ, Clara, and their videographer on the wedding day and also had an engagement shoot last year with Clara. We are sooo impressed with how our photos turned out and we received them only 9 days after wedding day-- way sooner than we even expected.
They're extremely professional, efficient and organized while being so creative and artistic. In less than 2 hours before the wedding, they were able to wrangle our wedding party quickly for photos as well as get our first look photos and tons of detail shots around the property (Old Rancho in Carlsbad). Post-ceremony, they were super patient with our large group of relatives to get all the family shots we needed. We are blown away with our couple's shots, family photos, ceremony, and reception photos-- all of it! I didn't feel that anything was missed and, if anything, they captured way more moments than we expected.
We can't wait to see the way the film & video footage turned out, but have no doubt that it will be of an equally exceptional quality. I highly recommend their services & feel that their work is a really great value, especially considering other photographers I was considering didn't provide film as an option or charged just as much without the video option. -

AMAZING experience from start to finish.
Chasing light was a pleasure to work with. They made our day go so smooth and without them it would have been so much less organized. They not only shoot amazing photos that will be treasured for a lifetime but they also know how to run the show. The photos we received from engagement were so amazing and we knew that we were in good hands for the big day. Clara and Russ have a way of making you feel comfortable even if being in front of the camera feels a little bit awkward for you. We are so happy we went with chasing light photography! Obsessing over our wedding photos!!
Clara did such an amazing job on our engagement and wedding photos! We are so grateful that Chasing Light was willing to work with us on our small backyard wedding and budget. Our wedding day felt like such a fast, incredible blur, I'm still in shock at how beautiful the photos turned out. My husband and I are not especially comfortable in front of the camera and Clara made us feel at ease and natural. Clara squeezed in so many photos I didn't expect to get in our tight timeline and budget, like getting ready, details, family. And we even skipped over to a local park for some scenic photos of just me and my husband, which I'm still amazed we pulled off! We are forever grateful and will treasure these photos for a lifetime! You won't regret using chasing light
Chasing Light is the BEST!!! The pictures are absolutely stunning and you get them back SO fast. Can't beat the quality of the pictures and the price!!!!!! We did an engagement shoot, and used them for our wedding photography and videography. They are so easy to work with, and have a great response time. Russ and Clara were GREAT at helping us pose and feel comfortable in front of a camera. They are fun to be around and were incredibly patient with our huge bridal party! Breathtaking Photos and Video!
The Chasing Light Team did an amazing job capturing the big and small moments on our wedding day through their photographs and video. They were very professional and flexible and able to work with what we wanted for our engagement shoot and our wedding day. Russ photographed our engagement photos and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and sent us back beautiful, quality photos, not long after they were taken. Clara and Alex shot our wedding day, and used the venue for all of it's natural beauty. We are in LOVE with all of the posed and candid pictures that were taken. The video highlights the best moments of the day and helps us remember the true feel of the many moments shared together between family and friends. We have nothing but GREAT things to write about Chasinglight. This team allowed us the opportunity to relive our wedding day through stunning photos and videos - they captured every moment so perfectly and more. We loved working with Russ and Clara!! They took great care of us during our wedding day. Russ made sure that we did not miss out on taking photos at our requested location despite the mix up in the schedule and Clara was just so awesome. She made me (bride) feel so beautiful and confident in all of our photos and even helped me when the trail of my dress malfunctioned! Just little things that we will never forget. Don't look any further when trying to pick a photographer/videographer - you've nailed it by looking at Chasing Light. I cannot speak MORE highly about what they were able to do for my husband and I to celebrate our engagement and wedding day. They met us in Joshua Tree while we were in town to shoot some breathtaking photos, and worked so well with us. They were able to pre-pick the locations and talk us through all of the photos to ensure the best quality, and that we were comfortable....and the photos speak for themselves! Not only that, but they made our wedding day SO special with their photography and video. They mapped out our whole day for us and really helped guide the planning, which was so helpful! And they are SO easy to work with. Truly down-to-earth people who are not only invested in the work they do and provide, but in your happiness as well. All of the pictures show our day perfectly and they were so in tune with our needs, and what we wanted. And the video. My god. The video is amazing. We had an out-of-town wedding, so the video was really important to us, not only to capture our day, but to also show everyone we couldn't have there and it SURPASSES anything that I could have ever imagined. The quality, time, energy, and love they put into it speaks volumes. EVERYONE is amazed by it and so complimentary of their work. It can be really hard to plan a wedding from out of town, and working with them was a dream. Truly. I have never seen work like theirs done before, and they deserve every recognition and praise I, and everyone else, can give. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Chasing Light TV (Russ) was absolutely incredible to work with on our wedding day. We ended up selecting both photography and videography services which streamlined everything, and made the coordination/organization for the day a breeze. Part of our package also included an engagement session, which was the perfect opportunity to meet Russ before the big day. He was professional, efficient, organized, funny and so fantastic to work with at both the engagement shoot and on the wedding day. Because of this, we were able to capture so many different moments and vignettes, which ultimately led to some of the BEST pictures my husband and I have ever seen (or been in)! Russ is also SO speedy! We got our engagement photos so quickly and our entire wedding gallery way before we even excepted, which was such a nice surprise. One of the best decisions we made when wedding panning was booking Chasing Light as our photo/video team! Communication was awesome from the very beginning and super easy to work with. Russ did our engagement shoot about a year out from the wedding and the photos were absolutely stunning. We knew we made the right call and couldn’t wait for the big day. We had never taken professional photos before and Russ made us feel so comfortable and calmed our nerves. Flash forward to a year later and our wedding photos were everything we could have hoped for and more. Chasing Light was one of the first vendors we booked for our wedding, with a package that included an engagement shoot, and photography & videography on our wedding day. The engagement shoot was a great opportunity to meet Russ, and to get a bit more comfortable with having our pictures taken in this way. We’d never had professional pictures taken before, but for both the engagement shoot and wedding day, Russ and Clara gave us plenty of direction and we always felt like we were in good hands. They were so knowledgeable and professional, Russ even ended up being the person who put my veil into my hair when my MOH and I were a little unsure of how to do it. We received our wedding pictures just 2 weeks after our wedding, which is an unreal turnaround time. Our video came a few months after, and it was well worth the wait! We absolutely love our pictures and video and have received nothing but rave reviews on them from friends and family. Hiring Russ & Clara was the BEST decision we could have made! Russ was truly amazing in giving us direction during our engagement shoot prior to the wedding (neither of us are models by any means). This really allowed us to be more comfortable in front of the camera on the day of and it definitely paid off. Not only are the photos STUNNING, but the dynamic between Russ and Clara really made it an enjoyable experience. All of our wedding party thought they were an amazing duo that compliment each other very well and even months later continue to recall how great it was to work with them!
Clara was extremely organized and really kept us on schedule throughout the day - something I very much appreciated.
The biggest piece of advice we were told by other newlyweds was to spend the extra money on videography - we are so happy that we did. Our video was very much a reflection on who my husband and I are and we are so thankful to have that memory captured.

My husband and I primarily interacted with Russell for the engagement photoshoot + wedding photography & videography.
His work ethic and dedication to the wedding couples really shows for itself. For the engagement photoshoot, Russell went ahead of time at Joshua Tree to look up good photo locations. He had been there before, but he wanted to see where the best lighting would be at certain times. My husband and I are pretty awkward with photoshoots, but he helped us along and gave us directions. Just a caveat to the future couples out there - all wedding photos are posed, but the trick is to make them look candid. Russell did an awesome job at making us look like naturals.
For our wedding, we got the photo and video package. The wedding photos were absolutely beautiful and every time I see them they shock me. To this day I have a hard time believing that my husband and I looked that great, because the photos turned out so well. What I love most about the photos and especially the video is that he highlighted the parts that I thought really defined us as a couple. The wedding day went by so fast that I was only left with blips of good memories, but seeing the photos and video helped me remember the other memories that had been forgotten or lost in the hustle of the day.
I would say that one of the most important things to get for the wedding are a good photographer and videographer. Because a wedding ceremony is only for a day, but the photos and video forever help you remember how the journey all started and how far the relationship has come. Chasing Light TV was more than we can ever imagined in a wedding photographer and videographer. We also had them do our engagement photos which is a must if booking wedding photographers/videographers. Russ was super professional and very well organized. He called us prior to our engagement shoot asking us what we were thinking or if we had a style in mind. He was great about offering us style ideas and places he recommends for the look we were going for. When we picked a spot and met with him for the engagement shoot he was so easy and great to work with. He made both of us feel comfortable and care free during shooting which made a huge difference in the outcome of the photos. And let me just say the photos are BEAUTIFUL.
Fast forward to our wedding week, Chasing Light provided us with a detailed timeline of shots to take on the wedding day where to be and how long it would take. This was a perfect timeline to share with my wedding coordinator, florist, wedding party, etc. it made day of stress free!
We received our wedding photos about a week after our wedding and I’m not exaggerating when I say we were all in awe with how beautiful they were. Chasing Light has a gift of capturing the most intimate moments in such a beautiful way you just want to share them with everyone! And those are JUST the photos. When we received the video my husband and I cried all over again. They managed to wonderfully display all the moments of our wedding day so perfectly. All of the moments we loved from that day are forever displayed in an amazingly edited video that we can’t wait to share with all of our friends and family.

He was super fun and finding poses to do was easy and almost felt effortless, he made sure we were comfortable the whole time and showed us how to do poses without feeling awkward. I appreciate how patient and organized he stayed throughout the whole day. We were running late on time for a lot of the photos and people were having a hard time to stay coordinated, yet he was still able to pull it off and get everyone together, something not any ordinary photographer could do. I was left in awe at the quality and editing of the video. It surpassed all expectations i had by far, and i loved the way he incorporated our testimonies and speeches into the video to really bring out the highlights of the day. BEAUTIFUL WORK! We are so thankful for Russ and Clara, who stuck with us through planning a wedding during the pandemic. The photos turned out beautiful, and I love how many detail shots we got (because the day flies by and you just don’t have enough time to soak up the little things like cursive names on the plates and twinkling lights on the trees). I love that we can look back and appreciate all of the hard work we put into our wedding. The tone, the colors, all turned out the way we wanted as well, and are very happy with how classic our photos turned out! This couple is talented, kind, and professional. My only mistake? Not giving them enough time to get group photos (of the bridal party and family), I wish I would have scheduled everything for an hour earlier, so do yourself a favor and take my advice! If it means starting hair at 7 am instead of 8 am, it’s worth it, I promise! -

Best Photo/Video Team Ever!
Chasing Light were literally a dream to work with from start to finish. We interviewed several photographers and they instantly felt like the right fit for my Husband and I. They were flexible in rescheduling our engagement shoot when the pandemic hit and the location we ended up choosing together was perfect when our original location ended up closing. They answered every one of my seemingly endless questions and helped put together the perfect day of timeline. The entire bridal party felt so comfortable and well lead on our Wedding day. They gave direction well and kept us on track while laughing right along side us during some of our shenanigans. The photos themselves captured my Husband and I perfectly and was an excellent representation of our big day. We received amazing quality and quantity of photos just 10 days after our wedding which took place right around Christmas time which was such a pleasant surprise!! And the video was the icing on the cake! It’s the one thing I wouldn’t go without and will recommend to all of my friends getting married in the future. The music selection for the audio was perfect, it was just the right length and captured all of the best moments! The quality and variety of shots in our video went beyond my expectations! Amazing Elopement Photoshoot
Had a great time doing an elopement destination shoot with Russ in Big Sur. The photos came out super amazing and we will cherish these photos forever. Russ helped guide us on how to pose and gave us tips on what looks good on camera.
What is also unique about him is that in addition to digital photos, he takes photos on film as well.
We are overall super pleased with all of our photos. We also super appreciate him driving all the way from SD to Big Sur to do the photoshoot at no extra cost. We definitely recommend him! -

The hype is real! If you are on the fence about hiring Russ, do not hesitate and you will not be disappointed. Since we ended up canceling our wedding because of the pandemic, we ended up asking him if we can hire him for an elopement video and photo session on the date of our original wedding, to which he heartily agreed to do. In the end, we ended up having no regrets and had an incredible adventure with Russ driving up and down the coast in an event that lasted almost two days. Russ had worked so hard, planning every single stop, incorporating our own story in every photo and even included our dog in some of the shots. Initially, we had felt so disheartened that we wouldn't be able to spend the day with our family and loved ones on our special day, but honestly, after spending those two days with Russ (and seeing the final photos and video), we decided that, given the circumstances, we wouldn't have had it any other way. We are so incredibly happy with the end result of the photos and especially the video - I could not recommend Russ enough, as a talented photo videographer, but also just as a compassionate, kind human being. WOW! My heart bursts with excitement just writing this review, because Chasing Light (Russ, Clara, and their assistant) added so much more to our wedding day than just photography and video. Their talent, attention to detail, strong yet kind demeanor helped lead and set the tone on our wedding day. They captured our engagement shoot, our wedding pictures and our wedding video. I have received all of the above and my husband and I are extremely pleased and thankful for their work and all of the sweet moments captured. Russ and Clara are simply amazing. They go above and beyond what's expected of them as photographers/videographers. Not only did they make us feel extremely comfortable (we're not avid picture takers) but they captured the wedding, the vibe, and our love perfectly! On top of all that, they're such awesome people. You'll feel so relaxed around them and they're true professionals. Russ was the one who put my veil in perfectly when no one else knew how.
The video they created is especially incredible. I've watched it several times over and am obsessed. It really captures the whole day and the feeling of that day in 7 minutes, which is the PERFECT length.
On top of the great photos and amazing video, they got it all back to us in a crazy amount of time. It was around 10 days for the photos and 3 weeks for the video. I have friends who wait MONTHS for their photos/video. I am just blown away.

I honestly cannot say enough great things about Chasing Light! Russ and his wife Clara are an amazing team. They are both so kind and down to earth and you can tell how much they care about each couple they work with as well as their artistry. First of all the photography style was exactly what I had imagined for my engagement shoot as well as my wedding—dark and moody with an equal amount of romance. Clara is so sweet and made my husband and I feel comfortable, and helped us treat the moment like there was no one else around but the two of us. The videography was equally as beautiful and really took me back to my wedding in such a special way. Russ’ cinematic eye captured every intimate moment of our wedding. I remember being upset about the possibility of rain and he made me feel so much better explaining how the cloud cover would make for good lighting and beautiful pictures—he was absolutely right. On top of this, Clara and Russ have a good sense of humor. My husband and I can be a little goofy especially when we get nervous, but the was more than patient with the two of us. Couldn't Be Happier!
I seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about the Chasing Light team and the wedding photos and videos they provided! First, they were so flexible and communicative with me coming from out of state and clearly wanted the video and pictures to be what I wanted to capture (rather than what they may have wanted to put on social media or in a portfolio). They gave such clear directions the day of, walking me and everyone else through the schedule and what we were doing next. I didn't have to think at all on the big day! I got the package with the engagement session too which I would highly recommend because you get used to how the photo process goes (especially helpful if you're as awkward as me), introduce you to the photographer (we had Alex), and we ended up with such gorgeous photos! On the wedding day, the videographer and photographer (Alex & Vance) were unobtrusive but always available, catching every little moment. What was super important to me was authentic, genuine moments which they got! They were super accomodating too with trying to get to particular locations that I wanted. I recieved my complete collection of edited photos online within 2 weeks and my 7+ minute video in a month. This was so much quicker than anyone else I've heard of! My only problem was that there were actually too many good photos to choose from which made picking ones to print a challenge. I seriously can't stop looking at my pictures and watching my video over and over again. I've gotten so many compliments too. It couldn't have been more perfect. Thank you so much Russ, Alex, and Vance for all of your help! You were all so helpful, respectful, available, and just a joy to work with! I would recommend you in a heartbeat! -

There are not enough words in the world to describe how wonderful it was to work with Russ, Alex and Vance. They are all so easy to work with and really get amazing shots. We had Russ for our engagement session and then we had Alex & Vance for photos/video the day of wedding. Every photo was beautiful and the wedding video just perfectly captured how joyous and beautiful our wedding day was - everyone I've shown has cried their eyes out over the video haha. I hope to be able to work with them again someday, they are truly amazing and so talented. We are forever grateful for our memories being captured by you all thank you so much! -

Fabulous!!
Russell was awesome from the very beginning! His response time was great and his professionalism is even better. When we took our engagement photos his partner Alex was the shooter and he is great too! The day of the wedding, Russell was the most relaxed and laid back guy we’ve met! He worked on a schedule and didn’t rush any of us who were behind. He scoped out the entire property to look for the best spots to take our photos! He knew all the poses for us before hand and asked if we wanted anything in particular. We got our photos back about a week later and they were PHENOMENAL. The pictures were so much more than my husband and I could have hoped for. -
