We had our wedding there and reception on 04/14/2018 it was amazing!!!!!!!. In the beginning it was a little difficult to get a hold of the manager. But as the day became closer she was available every time I called. The manager went as far as to set up all of my things on each table. Everyone has called and told us how much they enjoyed our ceremony and reception at the chart house. We highly recommend chart house.

The Chart House was the perfect venue for our brunch reception. Booking was easy, and Amy (Catering & Sales Manager) was responsive and helped us plan the flow of the day. We had the flower centerpieces, colored napkins, and cake delivered the day before; and everything was set up perfectly when we arrived for our reception. My guests loved mimosas and mini muffins in the lounge overlooking the water, and then choice of four menu items plus buffet. The staff (especially Ian) was as wonderful as the food was delicious! In the end we spent a lot less than if we had rented a hall or hotel for a much more intimate experience.

The Chart House in Annapolis was the perfect venue for my wedding! The location and venue were breathtaking and will make for great pictures! The wedding packages they offered gave me a lot of choices and everything was reasonably priced. The Event Manager, Amy Paulin, was a delight to work with; she was always quick to respond and made it a point to accomodate my every need. If I had to do it all over again, I would not pick another venue and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is getting married in Annapolis!

The views from the windows made such a lovely backdrop for the wedding. Having different spaces for the meal and dancing worked well.

What a perfect place to have a wedding reception! My husband and I were married at the Naval Academy and this was a short commute from our ceremony site. The location is stunning and the staff is incredibly helpful. People can't say enough good things about the food -- especially the salmon. The wonderful thing about this site is that they do not charge you a "site fee" you only pay for the food and alcohol. My one small complaint (which obviously does not change the way I feel since I gave them 5.0) is that there is no way to pay a flat rate for alcohol. You pay per drink, but you can set a limit on the amount you want to spend. All in all the food was fantastic, the site beautiful, the staff helpful, and the entire experience unparalleled.

THe Chart House's recent renovations have translated into a stunning backdrop for wedding photography--both inside and outside the restaurant. Waterfront views, tasteful décor inside and a mouth-watering menu made my wedding reception exceptional. I am so happy that I chose this venue! The menu options vary and seem to accommodate all budgets (keeping in mind the top-level service and food products), and the staff is very open to making modifications. I opted to combine desserts and let our guests choose whatever they wanted...and the staff obliged. And, while it wasn't a ''set menu'' they still printed special menus for us with our names on it and even rolled it up like a scroll to give to our guests at the end---so thoughtful! Amy--the catering and sales manager--came in on her day off to set up the decorations I supplied, and made the tablescapes exactly to my specifications. They were flexible when we added more and more appetizer platters, and the wait staff was responsive and attentive without being overbearing. They had a lot of events happening that same night, but I never felt like we were ignored. All my guests raved about the food and the views...and no one went hungry or lacked a drink in hand at all times. I highly recommend the Chart House for your wedding dinner and can't wait to see the amazing photographs from the evening. Note: their ''ship wall'' towards the back of the restaurant is a prime photography spot!

The food at our reception was absolutely delicious. My vegetarian friends were very impressed that there meals were just as beautiful as the non-vegetarian meals. The staff was very helpful and professional.

Unfortunately, we had to be out of the restaurant by 3:30. It would have been nice if our reception could have been a little longer.

It took the staff quite awhile to get lunch served (much longer than the estimate we were given when we were planning the reception) which cut into our time to dance. Other than that, I have no complaints.

The Charthouse was the PERFECT spot for our rehearsal dinner. They accommodated all 51 of our guests, and the service was absolutely excellent. The menu they created was great, and everyone was extremely impressed with the entire event. The setting is gorgeous, and it made our pictures fantastic.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at the newly renovated Chart House in Annapolis and are overall pleased with the experience. The food and drinks were delicious, and their private dining room with water views was able to accommodate our party of 45 guests. The room even had a TV with HDMI hook up so that we could play a photo slide show during our dinner. Communicating with the event coordinator was a bit challenging at times, but everything came together in the end.

Using The Chart House in Annapolis as both our ceremony and reception site was fantastic. The food was above and beyond the taste and quality of any food selection that a hotel would offer. And portion size was more than adequate. Our guests were able to chose their meal when they sat at the table, which was a big selling point for us.

The decor, atmosphere and service was perfect. During the event, the catering manager ensured smooth and tasteful transition and managed the rest of our vendors professionally.

We gave 3 stars for flexibility because the venue is only open to weddings during the day; at night they are open to the public for business. That being said, as long as the reception was wrapped up by 4pm, the staff arrived as early as needed to prepare for an 11am ceremony.

For cost, we paid for food and drinks. The cost of the food was very reasonable but for the drinks, it would have been much more economical to have an open bar rather than a consumption bar.

If we were getting married again, we would certainly use The Chart House in Annapolis. Great food, great service and perfect scenery.

Impressive event on the water. All food was excellent (esp crabcakes). One minus was the salad course -- a bit too chopped up for our liking, but we were out of town and did not do a tasting; otherwise we would have changed it.

Excellent view! Absolutely beautiful for the ceremony, and reception. The pictures were amazing. I was disappointed in the quality of the food ....it was not the same as when I eat there for a regular dinner. This was not communicated to me so my expectation was different. I would have been okay with it if I was aware, but it was a big let down. Otherwise a fantastic day. The wait staff was excellent and my guests commented on that.

    Intimate wedding

Chart House in Annapolis was where we chose to do our small reception. We rented the Trumpy room for 44 guests & it was great- the food was great & the on-site staff were amazing (Jennifer and the servers) - so kind and welcoming. I can’t say the same for their event coordinator, Amanda. She was snippy, short and often times unreachable and unresponsive. I’m not really sure why she works in hospitality because she doesn’t seem like a people person but despite this our reception was good. The staff at the restaurant that day went above and beyond and our event was great l.

Several weeks ago, I was going to write a terrible review, but there were quite a few things that went well the day of which I feel need to be recognized as well. The food was FANTASTIC at an INCREDIBLE price and the servers were excellent. We had many people comment on the menu saying it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The views were to die for, and I really do feel like we landed one of the best spots to have our wedding in Annapolis.

Now a few of the negatives... The events coordinator, Amy, at times, was not quick to respond and the day of the wedding she left without notifying the groom or myself, leaving someone else in charge. Which was fine because we didn't need anything but we found it odd. Anyways - Originally, we were supposed to have our wedding Oct 7th; which somehow got double booked so we changed our date. Some time passes and there was little to no communication, which was fine; however, a month before the wedding, which we were going to have on the lawn next to the Chart House, we went over to see how to set everything up. There was a tent from another company set up due to a fire which ruined their building, and it looked as though they would be there long term. We immediately went over to meet with Amy who advised it did not cross her mind to contact us. She did compensate us for the venue rental, and things went well the day of, but oh boy, what a nightmare at the time! Not to mention, we had already bought decorations, an arbor, and rented chairs for the space which costed a few hundred dollars. All in all, it was a wash - and the day of our wedding was unusually hot for September so it was nice to be inside in the A/C. We did have sign indicating "private event" but there were still a wanderers that came in looking for a bathroom, or to see what was going on. We really enjoyed the venue overall even in lieu of the mistakes, it made for some beautiful pictures!
