Rev Will officiated our wedding at Oheka Castle, Long Island on August 20th and did a fabulous job. My husband and I met him at a local coffee shop and loved his laid back personality. He was always very responsive to my e-mails and arrived on time to our wedding. Our ceremony was classic and sweet, exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend Rev.

Love Reverend Will! After our consultation we knew we had to choose him to officiate our wedding. Everyone commented on how perfect our ceremony was. Reverend Will works with you to customize the ceremony to your needs, and it was exactly what we wanted--not overly religious, but having our personal story come through, and feeling true to us. My husband and I are honored to have had Rev. Will marry us in a civil ceremony last weekend. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful our ceremony was and we owe a big part of that to how Rev. Will officiated it! From the very beginning, he was so helpful and met us in person to explain in detail for us how the timeline would go. He suggested we do a "Bowl of Blessings" ceremony as part of our overall wedding ceremony, and it was incredibly creative and cute! He has such a warm yet commanding presence and a gorgeous speaking voice that comes off as soothing and strong, it was a pleasure to just listen to him speak during our ceremony. We were very glad to have chosen to work with him and we wish him all the best!

We got married at the Central Park Boathouse on a beautiful day this June and Rev. Will got the day started as our officiant.

We were looking for a non-religious ceremony that captured our love for each other and that didn't linger on for an hour - we wanted to get to the partying as fast as possible. Rev. Will made that happen - he worked with us to customize our vows and really made the day special - in under 25 minutes!

My husband and I wrote our own vows and Rev Will was willing to read them both ahead of time and make sure our tones and lengths matched so one of us didn't outshine the other.

He was in contact with us the whole time leading up and even dealt with our bridal party showing up late from taking pictures with only 3 minutes to spare for a rehearsal - but he made it happen and everyone can't stop telling us how beautiful the ceremony was.

Rev. Will was great! He quickly responded to our inquiry, met with us to discuss our wedding and get to know us as a couple. My husband and I received so many compliments on how beautiful our wedding ceremony was - and it was all due to Rev. Will! From the start, Rev. Will was super responsive and when we met in person I was so happy that he truly seemed interested in getting to know us as a couple. He walked us through the whole processional and made recommendations because we really didn't know much about how it was supposed to work. He was really patient and we didn't feel rushed, which was a breath of fresh air compared to some other vendors you meet. He sent our ceremony script (along with suggested readings) way ahead of time and worked with us to tweak parts of it. He also encouraged us to include a story about our relationship, which made it more personal. During the ceremony, he read beautifully (loud and clear) and offered great marriage advice. Overall, he was professional, kind and caring. I would absolutely recommend him for your wedding ceremony.

My husband and I got married just a little over a month ago at Crest Hollow Country Club and Rev. Will was our officiant. We heard about him through my brother and sister-in-law whose wedding he also officiated as well as doing my nephew's blessing. Reverend Will performed an amazing ceremony for us; one that fit both of our personalities and it just was the beginning to a wonderful day and the start of a beautiful marriage. Neither my husband or I are religious; however, we wanted to include our own traditions. Reverend Will was open to whatever we wanted and it was fun and didn't drag and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needed an officiant. Thank you Rev, Will!

From the very first meeting with Rev Will we knew he was the perfect officiant for our wedding. We had a lovely chat and were impressed with his professionalism. He provided guidance and together we came up with an outline for our ceremony that would please both my catholic parents and my husband's non-religious family. He sent us a detailed script almost immediately after signing the contract. He also gave us vendor recommendations and wedding planning advice. On the wedding day, he arrived early and provided us with beautiful Lenox unity candles. Despite delays, chaos and disorganization caused by lack of direction by the venue managers, Rev Will remained calm and put us all at ease. Once the ceremony began, all of the stress we were feeling earlier went away. It was a very beautiful ceremony and I received many compliments from our friends and family. I highly recommend Rev Will and can't thank him enough for making our wedding day so special.

Rev Will did such an amazing job on our ceremony. We live in Texas and found him online. Planning a wedding from another state can be stressful to say the least. However, Rev Will put our worries at ease. We were able to meet him a couple of months before, and he went above and beyond what was necessary. We thought we were just going to grab some coffee and discuss the details, but he spent over two hours with us showing us around Central Park helping us pick our perfect venue. If that wasn't enough, he brought us to several restaurants to give us suggestions for our reception dinner. It is without hesitation, that we recommend Rev Will. He will forever be apart of our special day! Thank you!

Rev. Will was fantastic! Picking the person who would officiate our wedding was one of our most stressful decisions we had. Once we had our first meeting with Rev. Will all worries melted away. We knew we were in good hands.

On the day of our ceremony we had so many guest approach us during the reception just to tell us how much they loved the ceremony and how much they particularly like Rev. Will.

You have so much to worry about on your big day, take one of those worries away and use Rev. Will, he is simply fantastic.

Rev Will was perfect. He met with us right away and worked with us quickly for our fast approaching wedding ceremony (we were married just three months after our engagement so everything was rush, rush!). My husband and I felt comfortable with him immediately. We loved hearing about his professional background and he just made sense to us. He asked all of the right questions and put us on the right track as far as what we needed to do and when we needed to do it. He wrote a beautiful ceremony for us and worked with our wedding coordinator to make sure everything for the ceremony went smoothly. We had a daytime wedding in DUMBO Brooklyn near Jane's Carousel and Rev Will had experience with weddings in the park so that really put our minds at ease as far as how it would all come together the day of. We loved having him marry us and we highly recommend him. Thank you Rev Will!!

My husband is Catholic and I am not. We wanted a non-denominational ceremony and still include God. The ceremony Reverend Will came up for us was perfect. He certainly has a way with words and his presence is profoundly calming. We sort of had no idea what we wanted in the beginning, but he gave us options and direction.

He asked us to send him a personal story for him to share. We had sent one of how we met. Two weeks before the wedding, my husband needed an open surgery for appendicitis. Up until a few days before our big day, I didn't even know if it was going to happen. I ended up asking Reverend Will to change the personal story to the one we were currently in. It fit in with the rest of the ceremony seamlessly.

Rev. Will showed up right on time and spoke with some of the wedding party while I was still trying to figure out how to get into my dress. Then, we began our ceremony 20 minutes later than originally planned because our banquet manager suggested we wait for more guests to come. Reverend Will was very flexible and waited patiently with us.

The ceremony turned out to be more beautiful than I ever imagined. It's notably obvious that Reverend Will has had a lot of experience officiating weddings and is very willing to work with any couple to exceed their expectations.

My fiancé and I were a little late to the planning of our wedding ceremony. We were so fortunate to find Rev. Will. His spirit, demeanor and professionalism were fantastic. He was able to guide us through the planning process and which was so valuable.

He provided us with so many reference materials to select our readings, vows and nuances to make our ceremony special. My family really appreciated his service and his humor through out the rehearsal and ceremony.

We would highly recommend him for any service. His attention to detail, fantastic personality and value of his services set him apart from any one we could have considered.

My partner and I were married by Rev Will on our terrace with a small group of close friends and our dogs. We first met him when he performed the marriage ceremony for our friends last year in Washington Square Park. He did a terrific job then and once again did not disappoint when he performed our ceremony. His good humor and thoughtful comments were the perfect approach for us, and we were both truly moved during the ceremony. I would recommend Rev Will without any hesitation whatsoever, he is a kind person who performs all variety of ceremonies making all who participate comfortable and relaxed. Thank you Reverend Will!

Reverend Will was everything we could have asked for and more as our wedding officiant. When we first met him he was thorough, professional and most of all he listened to what we were looking for in our wedding. Not enough could be said about his demeanor. Calm, confident and well spoken. He was gentle but confident in guiding the couple, the wedding party and the parents through the ceremony. Rev. Will did an incredible job with our wedding ceremony. We both felt that it was easy to connect with him the first time we met; he put together a ceremony which was touching and personalized which everyone enjoyed. His personality brings calm confidence with just the right amount of light humor which put everyone at ease. Reverend Will is the absolute best. He helped us to make the most unique, personal wedding ceremony that let our personalities shine through. 70 Days before our wedding, we decided to fire our priest. I got Reverend Will's name through another friend and contacted him immediately. His response time was fast, and we met with him a few days later. From the moment we met him, we knew he was our guy! He was friendly, FLEXIBLE, very organized and willing to do our ceremony the way WE wanted. After dealing with a priest for 4 months and seeing a strict, inflexible way of doing things, Reverend Will was a breath of fresh air! He came up with a unique and personalized ceremony for us, which he emailed to us a few days after our 1st meeting. He had great suggestions for different things we could do for our interfaith wedding, and wasn't offended if we opted not to do certain things. We had everything in writing and could tweak whatever we wanted. He was very laid back during the entire process, but at the same time, he was on top of everything. It was so nice knowing that we didn't have to worry about him or the ceremony, so that we could focus on the other aspects of wedding planning. What he gave us, was a ceremony that completely reflected my husband ( a Catholic) and myself ( not religious) perfectly. Both sides of our family were thrilled with how it turned out, and I received multiple compliments during the reception about how touching and sweet our ceremony was! I would highly recommend Reverend Will! He showed up early, was SO calm and organized, and did a great job! I'm so glad that our priest option didn't work out and that we were able to find Reverend Will! He was the perfect man for the job!

From our first meeting with Rev. Will in the local coffee shop to the conclusion of our ceremony, we found him to be professional and accepting of our input. Rev Will tailored our ceremony and his presentation to our wishes and did so while remaining genuine and enthusiastic. On the day of our wedding, we very much appreciated his early arrival and his ability to communicate clearly to all involved about timing and placement.

Our ceremony was held in a historic chapel and Reverend Will seemed at ease in traditional robes while reading from the Book of Common Prayer. We expect our ceremony might have been more formal than a Central Park Ceremony and Reverend Will’s confident officiating added an elegant and authentic touch. We highly recommend him!

Rev. Will clearly officiates a lot of weddings. He was very responsive to emails and questions. He gives you samples of weddings to look over and see what you like or don't like. You can personalize it anyway you want too. He was just awesome! He came early to the venue to do a quick run through with the party

I would like to start by thanking Reverend Will for being our marriage officiant. Being a gay couple it is often hard to find people that will accept your lifestyle without judgement and Rev Will was exactly that. We always felt comfortable working with him and never once thought we were being judged. We live in Florida but due to FL not recognizing gay marriage we had to come to NYC in order to get married. We had a lot to accomplish in the 4 short days we had to prepare before the wedding and Rev Will was very accommodating of that schedule. He answered all of our annoying questions or even questions we had already asked before and even answered some questions we didnt know to ask all while guiding us in the right direction since we really had no clue what to do in some areas. We even got lost in Central Park on the way to the wedding location and he patiently waited in the cold until we were smart enough to figure out where we should be..lol.
All in all we were more than 100% satisfied working with Rev Will and i would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fun, informative, kind, listening and down right awesome marriage officiant! Please reach out to Rev Will and schedule him for your wedding.. trust me you wont be disappointed.

Rev W. Mercer was great to work with. He was very understanding, patient and had great ideas since hes been an officiant for a very long time. Our wedding day was perfect and he worked with us adding new things to incorporate to the ceremony days before. We are so grateful to have found Rev. Will! Knowing that the ceremony sets the tone for the entire event, we knew our officiant would play one of the most important roles of the day. At first we were apprehensive to look because a family friend had offered to marry us, but after reading many positive reviews we decided to take a chance and meet with Rev. Will.
We are so happy to have taken that leap of faith! We knew within moments it was a perfect match! We had a short time frame from the hire date to wedding date and we received a customized a wedding ceremony within just a few days.
On the day of the wedding Rev. Will met us at our venue early to run through our roles for the ceremony. With a mix of excitement, nervousness and stage fright from the wedding party, Rev. Will was a calming presence and helped ease our nerves!
The ceremony itself was so beautiful and unique. We received countless comments from guests saying it was "just perfect" and the "best ceremony ever!" We couldn't agree more! What a wonderful way to start our lives together! We cannot thank Rev. Will enough for helping to make our wedding the best day of our lives! We would recommend his services to all!

My husband and I chose to marry in New York - one of our favourite cities in the world - flying from Australia for our wedding day! He provided us with guidelines and sample readings for our ceremony, however he allowed us the opportunity and flexibility to add our own personal touches to make sure the ceremony was unique and perfect just for us. Many of our guests said it was one of the most heartfelt ceremonies they had ever witnessed.

Rev. Will did a fantastic job officiating our wedding. He was super flexible and gave us exactly the ceremony we wanted; we chose how long (short) we wanted the ceremony to be, how religious (or not) we wanted it to feel, we even had a say in what he wore (robe, suit, shawl, etc) He seamlessly incorporated a last minute story change due to a bridesmaid's unexpected absence. He was professional, flexible, friendly, fun and made our day memorable but making it exactly how we wished it to be.

An extraordinary wedding officiant!

We are a couple from Sweden and we got married in Central Park, NYC in September 2013.

We had a very simple ceremony and we were late in the planning. Actually, we've found Rev. Will by searching for our wedding destination. He was the only wedding officiant that we have been in contact with and it felt right from the first moment.

The service that, Rev. Will has given us during the planning time was absolutely fantastic. He answered our questions promptly via email and took time to make suggestions and explain everything even over the phone. On the big day, finally, the ceremony was just as we have imagined: it was simple and intimate but sensual, with many beautiful and important words, personal aspects and a lot of emotions. We were both very touched of it.

Rev. Will must be the best wedding officiant you could wish for. His warm personality, his competence and professionalism makes the finest moments of the wedding brighten and become a wonderful memory for life.

Reverend Will was an amazing officiant for our wedding in the Conservatory Gardens. He was the first part of our wedding we booked, before the photographer and even before the site! Throughout the time between booking and the big day, Will stayed in consistent communication with us, responded promptly to our questions, and even met with us to get coffee when we were in town to go over everything in person. Rev Will served as our celebrant for our Central Park wedding on September 4th 2013. We received his details from a friend of a friend who has used his services and had glowing reviews.

Organising a wedding in New York from Australia is no small task but it is certainly made easier when dealing with true professionals. From the initial email to our very first meeting on the day of our wedding things were perfect! Its the little things like promptly replying to emails and ensuring all questions regardless of how silly they may seem are answered, and we certainly found this to be the case with Rev Will. Even making changes to the ceremony a couple of days before the actual day didn't seem to phase him. Both my husband and I felt like we had known Rev Will for years.

The ceremony was beautiful and he even suggested the PERFECT spot to get married in Central Park.

Rev Will got back with us right away. In planning we thought his chapel would be good as we were driving in from Texas. He suggested we have it in Central Park by the lake. Being as it was a same sex marriage I thought in public might have problems. He assured us it would be fine. We couldn't have dreamed of a better service. We spoke with Rev. Will about doing our wedding after realizing three and a half months before the wedding that we had significant philosophical differences with our original officiant. My husband and I are a heterosexual couple, but it was important to us to have an officiant who believed in marriage equality who was still religiously-based. Rev. Will was happy to work with us and was very flexible and knowledgable about our ceremony location (Central Park's Conservatory Garden). He even helped us stage the wedding (where we would stand, where our guests would stand, a rose ceremony for our mothers, etc.) He showed up early to the ceremony and interacted with our guests. My husband's Granny, who is very religious, really took to him and said he seemed extremely spiritual, which made her comfortable with him.

Reverend Will was so accommodating and warm from the very beginning. I booked him very last minute and got super lucky he was available since he does so many weddings! I'm very fortunate to have found him and people have commented on my wedding film saying his voice and ceremony speech were wonderful. He works with you to customize the speech to whatever you would like. We went with something standard since my husband and I couldn't think of any appropriate anecdotes to personalize the speech with on such a time crunch (we were stressed out from wedding planning!) Rev Will truly made our wedding day a special event that we will always cherish. After the ceremony, several of our guests came up to us to let us know just how wonderful the ceremony they thought Rev Will conducted.

He’s also truly a professional and caring individual. Two days before our planned event, I ended up getting sick and ended up in the hospital for a few days and had to re-schedule the wedding at the very last minute. Rev Will took the news in stride and called myself and fiancé several times over the next several days to check in and see how I was doing. We ended up rescheduling the events 2 weeks later and Rev Will accommodated the change beautifully!

A last minute decision to get married in New York led us to Reverend Will Mercer a celebrant who married other friends of ours from Australia. My husband and I were delighted with the service that Rev. Will Mercer put together for us. Everyone commented on the day about how beautiful it was and it reflected us and our families wishes perfectly. He made some fantastic recommendations, such as an interlude and unity candle which were the highlights of the whole ceremony. He was very easy to work with and extremely professional. Reverend Will presided over our wedding ceremony in Long Island City, Queens on October 27th, 2012. We met Rev. Will a few months prior and he laid out the order of ceremony, giving us complete confidence in him. Will was open to all of the changes we wanted made to the ceremony, and we finalised the ceremony after just a couple of emails. On our wedding day, he outlined the order of ceremony to everyone involved, ensuring that they all knew what they should be doing, and it really helped having him around as a calming influence. We had an issue with the guests transportation and so the ceremony was delayed, but Rev. Will rolled with the punches and was happy to wait for the rest of the guests to arrive before proceeding. I was able to relax knowing that we had a steady hand in Will leading our way. The ceremony itself was perfect, Rev. Will was organised, professional and he put us both, as well as the rest of the wedding party and guests at ease.

Rev. Will was an excellent officiant for our wedding. He worked with us to craft a ceremony that meant a great deal to both of us, and he helped coordinate the physical aspects of our unconventional space (who stands where, who walks where, etc. for a wedding in Central Park).

Rev. Will's professionalism and kind, composed demeanor helped soothe the tenser members of the wedding party. He was a total gem, both beforehand and especially on the day!

When my wife Barbara and I were engaged it took us some time to decide on an officiant who would be accommodating to our ceremony. Then we stumbled upon Rev. Will Mercer who we had the pleasure of meeting with a year prior and we were greatly pleased with him. He even helped us choose the perfect location in Central Park for our big day. Rev. My ceremony was everything and more than what I expected. Rev Will made the ceremony so special and I could not have asked for anything more. He speaks so well in front of people and my guests really enjoyed listening to his ceremony. I was married at The Plaza Hotel and chose Rev Will based on his other reviews.

I live in London and planned my wedding from London. Rev WIll was very accommodating and made me feel confident that I made the right decision. He customized the wedding based on my and my husband's needs. Since my husband and I are two different religions he was able to bring God into our ceremony without offending anyone. It was just perfect.

I met Rev Will twice before my wedding; once on my wedding planning first trip in NYC, and the second time was for the rehearsal. He was on-time and very professional on all occasions.

He was so professional and has a calm demeanor which made me, my husband, parents and bridal party feel at ease. He is a very special person and makes everyone around him feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend Rev Will and if I had to do it all over again, it would only be with him.

Reverend Will was an excellent Reverend. We had a problem with our camera during our initial reception and Reverend Will took the time out to do a 2nd round of reading the script for us to get our pictures correct. It was such an important moment in our life and Reverend Will made it happen by understanding our issue and being there for us the 2nd time around.

Reverend Mercer is fantastic. He was very patient and knowledgable, and he walked us through the process of creating a ceremony that was "OURS".He let us know that whatever we needed, he would be able to assist and he did.
