For our Night Before the Ever After, we were able to reserve the Yacht Club Room. Location was on the second floor of the Fish House. Spectacular view of the Charleston Harbor. The Finance, Event Coordinator, team that supported the event went beyond measure to ensure that we were going to have a successful event. Each person on the Team did their best to assist with set up! We chose a casual style with their Food Stations which were a success as each stations food was pleasing to all guests. I received many positive comments on how much they enjoyed the food. We had a party of forty people and all commented on how they enjoyed the space.for movement. I followed the theme for centerpieces of light houses, marshland birds etc. the team of personnel, Event Coordinator, Captain who oversees all personnel, the bartenders, and serberive personnel and the amazing set up person, who helped
me unpack my car, were there for me throughout the evening. The Finance portion was in increments. All were clearly laid out to help you determine what you want and the cost associated. No surprises. Highly recommend!

We held our rehearsal/welcome dinner at CHRM on 2/24/23, and also arranged a room block at the resort for our out-of-town wedding guests. I initially worked with and made all arrangements with the wedding coordinator, Jamie. She left her position prior to our wedding, but Jessica and Georgia took over and the transition was seamless; everything ran very smoothly and they were all extremely professional, accommodating, and prompt to respond to any questions or changes. We were given a great room rate for our guests and the property was very flexible with the details of the room block. Our guests all spoke very highly of the beautiful Beach Club rooms! For our actual rehearsal/welcome dinner we wanted a true lowcountry vibe since we had so many out of town guests. Ultimately we decided on an oyster roast for cocktail hour, outside at the Bridge Bar, and followed that with a buffet dinner inside the adjacent Yacht Club with lot of local and southern favorites like she crab soup, lowcountry boil, bbq chicken, mac and cheese and much more. They also accommodated our request to bring in a special, large format (6L) bottle of wine for the event. We met with the bartender about it prior to the start of the event. He got it chilled for us and persisted with a very stubborn cork until he succeeded in getting it out intact. This is just one example of the excellent service we received throughout. Our guests loved their rooms and the setting of the dinner overlooking the harbor, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend CHRM for weddings or wedding-related events!

All I can say is wow! Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina was the perfect choice for us for our wedding venue as we wanted to have the ceremony near the water, have an outdoor reception, and make it easy for our out of town guests to have a place to stay near the festivities. Every detail was expertly managed from start to finish! From the catering, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception, our wedding was the most magical of days! We couldn't have picked a better setting! The team at the resort took great care in making us feel at ease on our big day and throughout the entire wedding weekend. We are still in awe of how incredible it turned out. Exceptional attention to detail and customer service that exceeded every expectation - highly recommended!

The Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina is a beautiful place to have a wedding. Located right on the Charleston Harbor, the views are spectacular, providing a beautiful wedding setting. We had our ceremony on the pier behind the resort, followed by a reception in the Yacht Club, which is an upper-level space that provides wrap-around windows overlooking the harbor and U.S.S. Yorktown. Kaitlyn did a great job communicating with us and making the wedding process flow much smoother even though we are located out-of-state. We also went with Reynolds Treasures as our wedding coordinator. Andrea and Christina did an excellent job making the wedding planning process much less stressful. They communicated with Kaitlyn throughout the process and leading up to the wedding. The 3 made a great team and provided a beautiful, well-planned wedding. The views, accommodations, and friendliness of staff at the resort make it an easy choice. Furthermore, the price was very fair. We checked out other Charleston area venues, but this resort seemed to have the best, most luxurious feel for the money. Great deal for the level of quality you get. Highly recommended!

Working with Kaitlyn was such a breeze! She made sure that our wedding was even better than we hoped! Our brunch wedding was the best day of our lives! What a dreamy venue to get married and we cannot wait to come back time and time again to reminisce on our perfect day!

I hosted a destination wedding at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina back in October and it was AMAZING!!!!!!! The staff made every step of the way effortless!!! They even made suggestions that I hadn't perviously considered. I would HIGHLY recommend putting the Resort on your list of Must See venues!!

Beautiful resort located in Charleston/Mount Pleasant SC. My husband and I had our wedding and reception at this location and it was memorable to say the least. Kaitlyn and Emily were the best on-site wedding coordinators. They were very tentative, knowledgeable and they shared the same passion as my wedding planner, which was making my fairytale wedding a dream come true. People are still talking about our wedding. Beautiful property, great location, outstanding food and AWESOME STAFF! This resort is simply one of a kind.

We chose the lawn space and Lookout Pavilion for our daughters March wedding. From the beginning, Kaitlyn was very responsive and helpful as I had numerous questions. She was great in giving suggestions and also gladly listened to our vision and ideas. Throughout the process, changes were made by Kaitlyn always did them with a smile and got them done. On the day of, she was there to oversee the set up of the reception. She and Emily made sure every detail was perfect when we showed up and really made everything seem seamless. Emily even offered to hold my purse bc it kept snagging on my dress as I tried to walk down the aisle! Everything was perfect and I heard comments throughout the evening on what a beautiful ceremony and reception site and how good the food was. Ithey kept the fireplace going all night and the sidewalls were a huge plus bc they kept out the wind. I highly recommend Charleston Harbor for any special event.

The Charleston Harbor Fish House was an incredible place for our rehearsal and reception! They took care of everything. The food was delicious. The view was AMAZING. Danielle and Elizabeth were so helpful!

We had our wedding reception at the Lookout Pavilion at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina Memorial Day weekend. It turned out absolutely gorgeous! All the guests were so pleased with how great the food was, and Ellen Harrington was a wonderful contact and event coordinator. She did an excellent job communicating with us and executing all the details of our wedding reception. She was very friendly and very responsive to all our needs. The location, staff, and food gave us a stunning reception that all our guest are still talking about! I would highly recommend them! I cannot say enough good things of how easy to work with and accommodating they were. They made our day so special and memorable!

Everyone at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina was wonderful! We were supposed to get married outside but it ended up being a really cold day. The staff accommodated us and moved us to a new location that ended up being beautiful! They were wonderful!

Ellen the wedding coordinator is AMAZING!! Highly recommend this venue. Food is very good, great customer service. Everything was above and beyond expectations! Will definitely be back for our anniversary!

Ellen Harrington helped us with literally every step of the way & I cannot put into words how helpful and amazing she was! Our wedding could not have been more perfect. From the planning process, I immediately felt like our wedding was the only one being planned at the resort (even though I knew there were tons being planned). My fiance, family, and I all felt like royalty. The venue was amazing and so accommodating. The wedding was everything and more than we expected and our guests loved the food, drinks, and overnight accommodations! Could not recommend it more. We are already looking forward to celebrating our anniversaries at the resort!

Our wedding reception was FANTASTIC. The Pavilion was the best place in Charleston to host a wedding reception. The location was great, the party was fun and the staff, service and food was amazing. We had it all. Ellen Harrington went above and beyond to make our day special. We were blown away.

CHRM could not have been better to us throughout the entire process. I received packages, and menus so quickly, contracts and room agreements could not have been easier! Kaitlyn and Emily were absolutely wonderful on our wedding weekend, and gave us options when it looked like weather might be an issue, and made sure we were comfortable with our choices. We weren't pressured into anything. They both worked all weekend with my day-of coordinator to make sure all of our details were correct, and the Pavilion and Beach could not have looked better! We got married on 9/17/17, and the weather was absolutely fabulous! I have not stopped hearing compliments about the food and service for the entire weekend, not just for our wedding. Most of our guests stayed on the property, and it was so easy to get downtown with the shuttle and even water taxi, so no one needed to Uber or Lyft.

It was absolutely fabulous, and we will definitely be back to visit!

We looked at eight different venues in the Charleston area before visiting Charleston Harbor Resort. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was perfect for our wedding -- beautiful facility, hospitable staff, perfect location, and plenty of accommodations for out-of-town guests. The best part, for us, was that we were able to hold our ceremony on a pier in the middle of Charleston Harbor, and the reception only a few hundred yards away outside under a patio. Everything was just perfect.

To top things off, Ashley, the wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing. Ashley was extremely easy to work with, and always very responsive. Ashley even helped us to pick some of the details of the wedding, and helped to set up the day-of. She even went the extra mile and picked up a few items we had left in our hotel room during the reception. Ashley really made the experience FUN and stress-free. I highly recommend Ashley and the Charletson Harbor Resort.

We just got married at CHR on Saturday and LOVED it! The day was gray and cold but we still got amazing pictures and all of our guests were incredibly complimentary. The beach venue is gorgeous and the reception on the Sunrise Terrace was perfect! Ashley Nguyen is AMAZING to work with. We would definitely recommend Ashley and the Charleston Harbor Resort to anyone looking for a unique beachfront wedding venue. Great staff.

We had an amazing wedding weekend thanks to the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina! Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all took place here - and our guests all stayed at the resort. There was some confusion with our guests booking room rates in the beginning, but their wedding specialist, Ashley, resolved everything prior to our wedding weekend. Our guests had only positive feedback on the service, cleanliness and overall experience at the resort. Our wedding was perfect and was catered and serviced just as expected. Ashley is responsive, friendly and easy to work with! The front desk and cleaning staff are friendly and helpful, we loved Tameka! Would recommend to anyone looking for a destination wedding, as the resort has the perfect tropical ambiance without the long distance travel!

We held our wedding at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina on May 13th of this year. As a couple planning a destination wedding, we originally selected CHR&M due to the beautiful scenery, relatively inclusive venue (catering, most rentals, etc.), and the convenience of staying on-site for our many out-of-town guests. We ended up having an absolutely fabulous experience with CHR&M and a perfect wedding day. Georgia, the Director of Catering & Conference Services at CHR&M was responsive, professional, and accommodating throughout the entire planning process, and worked seamlessly with our full-time planner from Ash Events. We chose to hold our ceremony at the Harborside Beach and our reception in the Pavilion – Both were stunning on the day of our event. One thing my husband and I really valued was having excellent food at our wedding and we were so excited about the catering offerings at CHR&M. The menu was so great that we struggled to choose a limited number of items for our tasting! Our tasting experience with Georgia and the catering team was top notch. They took notes on all the changes we wanted made to the meals (more sauce here, cook on steaks, etc.) and executed the night of our wedding – The food was just as we remembered it. Not only was Georgia awesome, but the staff on our wedding day were great! We chose a plated meal and they were quick at getting food out and taking care of our guests. The two bartenders were especially phenomenal – They kept the drinks flowing all night with little to no wait for our guests and were so fun! I also want to mention that we booked a small block of rooms at the hotel (we did a small block because you have to 100% guarantee the block as the couple) for our guests and stayed ourselves at The Beach Club the nights before and following our wedding (they comp your room the night of your event!). Jessica, the sales associate, was helpful in tracking the fill of these rooms and was always there to answer any questions we had. Our room at The Beach Club served as the bridal suite the morning of the wedding and worked out perfectly. Our guests were so impressed with their rooms, the venue, staff, food, and overall coordination of our day. All-in-all, our wedding day was a dream come true because of Georgia, CHR&M, and the amazing staff!

Charleston harbor is not only a beautiful venue, the wedding team is outstanding at helping to make weddings perfect. We had rain forcasted all day for our wedding day, they were so open to allowing us options and letting us make calls on where cocktail and ceremony would be as late as possible. Georgia was FANTASTIC to make it all flow well and make it a fantastic day. We choose to still have our ceremony on the beach and they brought out standing umbrellas and provided guests with umbrellas as well. The wait staff was so fun and danced with us while providing amazing service. Could not recommend them any higher.

We toured the hotel a few weeks ago while searching for our venue. Kyle and I were impressed from the moment we walked through the door. It has everything we could possibly want in our wedding venue. From the amazing resort feel with a roof top bar for our welcome party to a large pavilion we are custom decorating to hold 180 of our closest friends and family. We are thrilled to be hosting our wedding at such a beautiful location that includes most of our rentals and huge menu to select from. One of our biggest things we wanted at our wedding was "non wedding food." As a wedding planner I eat chicken and beef every weekend. The hotel allows us to serve speciality pizzas, carving stations, potato bar, and so much more. We are so thrilled to get married!

My husband and I got married on the Beach Club lawn and had our reception at the Pavilion on 11/10/18 and everything was absolutely wonderful! Kaitlyn was so great to work with! From the get go she was flexible, accommodating and so helpful in making our special day everything and more that we wanted! The staff was very professional and fun and our guests had such wonderful things to say about them and the venue! Our guests raved about the food catered by the Fish House too! We had the caprese skewers, crab cakes and sliders for passed appetizers and did stations for dinner that included shrimp & grits, prime rib, roasted vegetables and the pasta station. Everything was so great! If we did it again I would choose Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina again! The beach club is absolutely gorgeous and in the perfect location for out of town guests. Such a wonderful day!

Working with Georgia was great. We had or Ceremony on the beach and our Reception on the Sun Set Terrace. Both locations were perfect. We lucked out getting married the weekend after the Hurricane and the weather was great. We chose Charleston as a destination and all our guests stayed in the hotel. We also had our Rehearsal Dinner at the Fish House- The food was fantastic, service was great, and the venue itself was beautiful. Highly recommend especially for a destination, it was a perfect weekend.

This venue was terrific! We planned the wedding from out of town so it was really important we had a venue that could do it all. Ellen Harrington is amazing, she made every last finishing touch right. She kept everyone on schedule, just fabulous.

The venue itself is naturally beautiful and the hotel was definitely resort feeling. My family and friends had an amazing time here, I highly recommend it!

I could not have been happier with my experience at the Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina. The wedding coordinator Ellen Harrington was beyond amazing, & our event would not have been the best day of our lives with out her & the wonderful staff. The only problem we encountered is a delay with the check in services at 4:00 PM. This time frame created a bit of a rush, as many members of the wedding party were scrambling to check into their rooms prior to the rehearsal on site. Regardless, our family & friends traveled many miles to rant & rave about the fabulous time they had at the venue, & I am so thankful to have found this wonderful place to have my wedding day. Endless thanks to Ellen & the CHR&M Staff, as we will be forever thankful. Y'all are the best!!! XOXO

Such gorgeous views, excellent food, and a friendly staff/wedding coordinator made our wedding very smooth & memorable - not only for us, but for our entire wedding party and guests! Having your wedding almost 5 hours away from home can be very hectic; Ashley & the crew at the resort made it WONDERFUL & easy. Ashley was with us from the beginning of our stay through our sparkler exit (including pinning my dress up after many failed attempts by my bridesmaids throughout the night!!!). I could not have imagined our special day anywhere else!

Very accommodating for last minute changes due to weather. The Charleston Harbor Resort was a perfect spot for our intimate wedding.

The Lookout Pavilion at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina is the perfect place to have an April wedding. The setting and views were awesome, the food was excellent (which sometimes isn't always the case), the bartenders were efficient, and our coordinator, Ashley, was phenomenal.

Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina was an absolutely beautiful location for our wedding. Thanks to Ellen and the staff for helping ensure we had a fantastic event. Ellen went above and beyond to stay the day of the wedding and make sure we did not have any issues. They were also very helpful in making suggestions to add to our vision that we would not have otherwise thought of.

We had our rehearsal dinner and it was PHENOMENAL! Unfortunately, I stayed the night before and had my bridesmaids come over to get dressed. Fire alarm goes off for almost an hour. I booked an extra 2 nights before hand so my husband and I could enjoy the expensive suite. The night after the wedding, fire alarm goes off for over 2 hours. They compes that night because we had to sleep in another hotel room. Thw next day I went down to the concierge and explained everything & said I really didn't want to stay Monday night after those past 2 issues (we were EXHAUSTED) I was assured it wouldn't happen again & talked into staying. I asked for 1 thing, please have housekeeping change the sheets and leave fresh towels. I returned 5 hours later & no, no one ever went to our room. I was livid. We were AGAIN put into another suite (much smaller) but still charged the same price. Not the best experience I ever had. Def. Not impressed.

This is a beautiful place to get married and we really enjoyed it and so will your guests.
Everything is very professional and the coordinator is very friendly.

This place can get a bit pricey, it just depends what package you go with, but if you do pick this place be prepared to pay at least 8-10K, depending on how many people and what package you pick. I think it was still worth it though and the location is stunning.

We had our wedding and reception at this location. The wedding was on the beach and reception was held inside. We did the dinner laua and it was great except the green beans. They were ok to work with but everything is an extra. They were more reasonable then most of the places in Charleston.

My Husband and I had our wedding at the Pavilion on May 6, 2017. We loved the fact that it was outdoors but yet we didn't have to rent a tent, table, chairs and linens. We also had a lot of out of town guest so it was perfect for them. The food was good but if you choose the shrimp and grits self serve, make sure you hire a server because the shrimp were gone by 7pm at our wedding.

Our coordinator was such a sweet sweet girl but good luck getting a response through email she seems as if she is way overwhelmed and too busy to answer my questions. Once the wedding was over and it's time to pay you have 30 days to pay but the person in accounting you must pay through is no where to be found. I called, emailed and finally after 15 days tracked him down after calling the front desk. He then stated he needed to get in contact with my coordinator about the taxes but here it is day 25 and still haven't heard from anyone trying to make the transaction. I've since called the coordinator and the accountant to check up on the situation and just simple try to pay even though the taxes are messed up left messages and emails and haven't heard back once again. Genuinely hope everyone else experience is much better than ours!

From the beginning communication was awful. It was like pulling teeth to have questions answered and emails returned.
Guests had issues when they first arrived such as the room not being ready for them when check is at 4pm. (When they just drove 17hrs to get there) another guest was over charged the first day.
The day of wedding I had a florist/coordinator at the venue setting up everything, workers raking out the sand to make it nice and smooth and here comes in a group of people WITH The resort“wedding coordinator” for a rehearsal. She never mentioned this to us at all and it was absolutely unprofessional for her to bring them through while we were setting up right before the wedding, when she should of been there helping.
While the girls and I were getting ready the room was a disaster, with kids and all so one of my bridesmaids called up front and asked if house keeping could clean the bride and grooms room. They replied “of course”.......I guess they had better things to do. My bridesmaids later on in the night took some of my cards and gifts to my room, walked in to a room that was a disaster, they had to clean it for us! The FOOD:
For cocktail hour we had lots of dips and crackers/pretzels. I was told by TWO people the dips were taken away while they had their hands in the food eating. there was a ton of appetizers left over and it was never brought back out for guests to enjoy, my husband and I never had a piece of our own wedding cake, the resort staff decided to THROW OUT THE CAKE! I spent an hour after the wedding asking where it went only to hear it was tossed. Staff also threw away favors while they were cleaning up. One of my friends saw this and made one of the workers retrieve them from the garbage and put them back out on tables. This resort is so unorganized & unprofessional. I am still so sad we never had a peice of our wedding cake..CHR&M could care less all they could do was say their sorry. I will never recommend this venue to anyone

Most unaccommodating place you could have a reception at. They seemed to not have anyone one in charge and the majoirty of the staff was miserable, rude and inappropriately saying comments to the guests. Be prepared to have friends and family run your reception for you. Do not leave any valuables behind as you will never get them back. Great food but they ran out halfway through our buffet line. Also ran out of beer and wine half way through the wedding. Refused to open the second TIKI bar that we paid for (until halfway through reception), with the manager making comments that we would have to pay for the staffs medical bills if they got hurt.

We planned and coordinated for the wedding 1 year and a half and things happened that should have been prepared for way in advance: warrant filled out for special event outside, bar tenders at inside bar being warned we would bring the after party inside after, enough food made for 160 people, signs or blockage from outside guests using the beach when we paid for it privately...etc...

We are sharing our experience to protect other couples from the despair and frustration we experienced. We booked our September 29, 2018 wedding at the Cottages on Charleston Harbor in February 2018. We contracted with the venue for more than $8,000 worth of accommodations, including the event space fee. We also signed a room block contract with the neighboring resort – The Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina – for our guests of $4,000.

In August 2018, I asked the Cottages to confirm if the dock between our reception space and the Charleston Harbor Resort had been fully repaired (I had seen guests on Instagram taking photos) and if we could use it for our photos. I was told that we could use the dock for photos before 4 p.m. because a concert would be taking place on the beach… That’s how we discovered a national touring indie rock concert had been booked, a double-header, at the exact same time and 10 feet away from our wedding.

The Charleston Harbor Resort booked Moon Taxi with Ripe as an opener in July 2018 with Ears for Music (a concert promoter) and did not consult our wedding venue prior to booking. The Cottages and Charleston Harbor Resort are two separate companies. There’s nothing keeping each property from throwing a carnival the day of your wedding. They had no written agreement in place. We had no legal opportunity to fight back. The “partnership” is extremely irresponsible.

We were told that they would surely solve the situation and waited a full week before being informed that they would not move or cancel the concert. They were able to come up with a “solution” ... photos detailing the rest of our experience are attached due to the WeddingWire word limit.
