Fred and I loved Charles' style of photography, so we went to see him. He was not just nice, he really listened. We could see he cared about us and what we wanted, and that was one reason we went with him. He did a great job on our engagement pictures -- we got a lot of variety. He was funny and he helped us relax in front of the camera. He was the same way on our wedding day, and didn't interrupt the ceremony or the reception. Apparently, he was working hard, because the pictures are fabulous. We are going through our pictures now and there are so many good ones to choose from. You could not hope for better. it was the same way with our engagement pictures, and we got a signature portrait for all of our guests to sign. Iact's much nicer than others I've seen. I'm glad we went with Charles for our wedding.

Joe met Charles first. Joe was surprising me with photography for our wedding. We had run out of budget, or so I thought. We had an engagement session and Charles made our Save the Date cards. It was very pretty and we had so many great poses to choose from. Charles and Kellie took lots of pictures and when I wanted a special day-of session to make those romantic pictures of us walking together, they were quick and captured us just right. I love how our candle lighting looked during the ceremony. They took pictures with so much color, I really love them! Charles showed me how romantic my wedding really was -- just like I hoped it would be. Thank you Charles, you were wonderful! I definitely recommend this super team to anyone who asks!

We just love our pictures! We have been sending our out of town family to our web site and now my mom can choose exactly the pictures she wants!

First of all I hired Charles because he is an artist. You don't get pictures like the ones I wanted without experience. Charles and I spoke about what I wanted, and I showed him some of my inspirations and, WOW, did I get what I asked for. I wanted more portraits with a look that showed off me and my groom. I wanted sensitivity, complexity and a little drama. We used a very classy and exclusive venue so I could have backgrounds that would produce the look I wanted. Everything had to be elegant and classy and gorgeous. I asked him to take formal and looser family portraits. Even my mom was laughing during the informal portraits. She - never laughs!

We had a dinner with a first dance and a cake cutting. My event was more formal so there weren't going to be crazy dancing pictures or people acting silly. We wanted an heirloom album. Charles will give us that with our pictures. He even had the Italian album we wanted - and Kellie is designing a custom album for us. She has been very careful to make every detail right for me. Thank you to Charles and Kellie for their artistry and taste. They are so flexible. I recommend them.

I wanted to have a really romantic wedding with a twist - I wanted to have a rock star wedding with lots of glamour and unexpected details. When I told Charles and Kellie about it the first time, they got it! It was awesome! I was so thrilled with my engagement pictures. They used special lighting and showed off all the details. Gregg (my hubby) was so gorgeous in these photos. Charles helped him get the idea of looking serious and cool down perfect.

We just had a taste of our wedding pictures so far and cant wait to see the rest. We got photos to say thank you to my Moms and Pop and his parents. I really didn't see them at my wedding. They were just not in the way. My Dad said they were working like a team. Kellie got a great portrait of my grandmother - the first look pics were great. They got a picture of how emotional Gregg was when he saw me for the first time.

Charles and Kellie were so good with my family and Gregg's. Even my grumpy aunt didn't phase him. He included even the youngest of us in the portraits, right down to the 1 year old who won't sit still. I don't know how he stays sooo calm. So far, it's been worth every penny. We wanted special looks and wanted our theme carefully recorded and THEY. DID. JUST. WHAT. WE. ASKED. Awesome! We recommend Charles and Kellie -- they have been great!

I love, love, love these photos! They are romantic, beautiful and make me look like a million dollars! I could not have asked for more. The getting ready photos are fun and just great. My dress shows all the details. The ceremony was covered more artisticaly than I expected it could be. And the moments they caught at the reception are just great fun! I am going to recommend them to all my friends. I can't wait to choose my pictures for the album. Thank you!

We looked at 6 photographers before we found Charles Jablow. Charles listened to us carefully to make sure he understood what we wanted. We wanted casual, spur o the moment pictures, not posed shots. Charles did both, actually, and I'm glad he did. Everything looks so natural, we are very happy. Charles has a rare ability to catch just the right moment. He's very calm, which I found make me less nervous. He was the right choice for us.

Charles was a great find! From the moment we met, he put us at ease and made us laugh. We had a great time and got all our questions answered. We just wanted the digital images and thought we'd make the album later, and I'm glad we did! We got great photos, which we can make into an album later. Charles captures feelings, not just ordinary pictures. We love our pictures. Charles was understanding and helped get us the pictures we wanted, just the way we want them! Definitely recommend!!

Our wedding was a big event for us. We had lots offamliy coming from all around hte area. Charles and Kelley were so carefull- they were everywhere , taking pictures they didn't mis a thing. I didn't seee them during the service but Charles caught the "kiss" that sealed teh deal. I was so excited when I saw that picture -- he got it.
We asked him to take extra groups during our portrait session and he did. Over and over again he said yes. There were pitures of my shoes and dress and the getting ready images were just gogeous. People who never want their picture taken were asking for shots!
I am most proud of how our first dance pictures look. We spent alot of time rehersing our firstdance. Fred wanted to look like a pro dancer and worked hard on his steps. The first dance pictures made us look like Astaire and Rogers! Fred was so happy. Charles is a real professional and the moments weere priceless. Thank you Charels and Kelley for making it easy and not missing a beat.

Charles and Kellie were great! They met us at our venue before our wedding. THey showed us some of the best places to get pictures. They were really nice to me all day. They were unobtrusive and took photos of everything. We got a DVD of our pictures in about 2 weeks. They made our photo website from the best pictures. They were fun to work with and our photos were great. I will recommend them to my friends!

Charles is a gifted artist as a photographer with particular skill in using lighting to enhance the subjects and a great sense of composition. All I can say about his flexibility, is "amazing"! My schedule was particularly challenging and he not only accommodated, he did so so graciously that he eased a lot of potentially stressful times. I have already recommended him to my friends ... which by the way is how I found him!

We met Charles and Kellie at the Bridal Showcase at the Kentlands Mansion, Gaithersburg MD. At the time they were offering free mini ENGAGEMENT photo session with 3 free prints; no obligations. That gave us an opportunity to work with the photographers, see their work and style first hand without paying money. Soon we set up a date for the photo session. They were professional, nice and flexible; put us at ease and made us laugh during the photo session. The photos we have reviewed came out well, and we are pleased with the final three we have selected to be printed. We are yet to see the printed photos, but we are sure they would be of great quality.

Charles was amazing! Our first photographer, my brother, broke his arm and Charles stepped in to help us with a weeks notice. The pictures were just what we wanted- beautiful, colorful and super stylish. He made me look great. My mom loved all of them! We had to make her an album- which she has shown to all her friends!
We loved how creative Charles was. Some of our pictures looked like they were from a magazine. If you want a real artist to take pictures at your wedding call Charles, you won't be disappointed!

We were very pleased with the wedding photographs that Charles took on our special day. We had our 6 month old daughter in our wedding and Charles took time and great care with us to get some great shots of our entire family. The value of his packages were very reasonable and he worked with us to modify one of his packages to extend our time with him. He was also very flexible with us in creating our wedding album. We had a review session of the photo album and were able to provide our feedback resulting in several page changes. He had a very quick turn around time in making our changes and we were extremely pleased with the final design of the photo album. My husband and I are creative people with a photo and video background so it was important for us to find a creative photographer and one that would help us capture our vision for the photo album. We were pleased with our choice!

Charles did our engagement and wedding photos and we have received many compliments on both sets of photographs. He has a great eye for setting up photos with fantastic light and settings. Working with Charles and his team was a wonderful experience. They were accommodating not only during contract signing with helping us to customize a package that met our needs, but also with working with us and all of our other vendors when the wedding had to be pushed back by 6 months after being fully planned.

Charles is a very personable individual, always caring greatly about his customer. He is dependable, always on-time, and always ready to capture those important shots. Prior to our wedding day, we sent Charles a list of particular pictures we wanted at our wedding (i.e. family shots, friend shots, etc.). He followed through on every request.

Charles and his team developed a great payment schedule with us so we did not have to worry about one large expense prior to our wedding day. We were able to pay on a quarterly basis, which really helped in our budget planning. Furthermore, on one occasion, Charles allowed us to defer payment by a couple of days after our due date till a new billing cycle on our credit card so we would not be subject to interest charges.

Charles suggested some lovely locations to capture fall color for our engagement photos and they turned out great. Our wedding colors were vivid and bright, so it was important to us that our engagement photos set the stage for what was to follow.

We had a Catholic ceremony and Charles worked well with our Priest to remain unobtrusive yet involved enough to capture the moment effectively. Charles is talented at using the natural light available and with creating natural light when needed so that your photos always look their best.

Due to recent family tragedy, our wedding was a very emotional event in our family. Charles was sensitive to that and did a great job capturing the various emotions of the day.

Charles was engaged throughout the entire reception, capturing moments that we would have otherwise not been aware of due to the fast pace of the evening. (No matter how low key of an event you are throwing, there will be moments that fly by.) We had torrential rains the majority of our wedding day, yet Charles stayed on top of the weather so that during sunny moments we were able to get outside to embrace the beautiful scenery of our reception venue for couple and wedding party photos. However, during the rains, Charles was able to create backdrops from within the venue to capture the various family shots and still utilize the view of our venue.

We recently met with Charles to review our 'draft' final album (the delay in final product entirely our own doing due to family responsibilities). We were blown away by the caliber of the final product, we felt like we were reliving our wedding day at that time, almost a year later.

You will not regret hiring Charles and his team for your event. They did a fantastic job with our event, and we too hired him from a Bride referral.

We knew that purchasing wedding photos (and album) weren't cheap, but we wanted them done professionally and correctly. We had to pay for our own wedding because we had no other choice. We came from little means. So we met with several referrals and we came across Charles Jablow's website. We liked the albums we saw so we decided to get a consultation. We were very pleased when we were done. The high level of expertise we found was very rare, and the value we got from the entire package was excellent and affordable! Definitely would recommend again. I will personally be using him again for any photography needs I have in the future.

Charles Jablow has an eye for wedding photographs that few others have. He advertises that he tells the story of his customers’ big day through his pictures. From our experience, he did just that and much more.
From the very first meeting that we had with Charles, we felt that he was the photographer we wanted to tell our story. His sample albums speak for themselves in terms of the quality of the pictures that he takes. But we were most impressed with his take on the big day itself. He put great research into our wedding venues, suggesting the perfect spots for our pre-ceremony pictures. He acquiesced to our “untraditional” desire to have a bride-groom meeting prior to our ceremony, organizing a beautiful private meeting in a memorial garden behind our church. His professionalism and patience during every photo shoot was exactly what anyone would want from someone documenting one of the biggest days of their lives.
We knew that we had made the right decision after our engagement photo shoot at the Tidal Basin in Washington D.C. The Park Police officer saw us coming, and wanted to see a photo permit before he would allow us to take pictures with the gorgeous DC Cherry Blossoms in the background. Charles was able to convince the officer to allow us to take the pictures. Then afterward, he took photos that will hang on our wall for the rest of our lives….including the perfect photo for our save-the-date notices. That day was a perfect example of how Charles will go out on a limb, dedicating every resource to ensure that his customers receive exactly what they want.
Our wedding reception was an event that I will never forget. It was without doubt, the most fun I have ever had at a party. When I view the photos that Charles took on that night, it brings me back to the point that I feel I am re-living that party every time I open our album. Some photographers we interviewed advised that they often leave the reception before it is over. Charles took the opposite view, noting that some of the purest emotions and nicest pictures can be captured toward the end of the reception. Although it was a late night, he certainly proved his point. The best reception pictures happened in the last hour of our party.
I found viewing our photos in Charles’s studio to be equally as fun as taking the pictures. His take on which images were worthy of our album helped us to construct the nicest collection of wedding photos that I have ever seen. I find myself looking at our wedding album on a near-daily basis, so glad that we made the best choice possible when it comes to wedding photographers.

Charles Jablow photography is AMAZING! Not only is Charles a fabulous photographer but he is very easy to work with. He was able to capture photos that will make a wonderful album/storybook of our wedding day. Love is a miraculous gift. Charles Jablow stood before us on a warm summer morning on Cape Hatteras, NC for a beautiful seaside ceremony. Family and friends formed a circle of support around us, a union most had waited long to witness and bless. We were there to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, to give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, and to cherish the words that unite husband and wife. We entered the union with open eyes and full hearts, and Charles captured each delicate moment. As ocean ripples cross and recross one another, photographic memories of our wedding day will too, touch and retouch one another. Charles provided an everlasting snapshot of the love and wishes we experienced that day on Cape Hatteras. You are family Charles, thank you.

Charles Jablow is the best photographer. I highly recommend him. He is professional and courteous and truly cares about his customers. When I hired Charles I knew I was going to have a quality photographer at my wedding. He really thought out all of the details before the event. Charles has such a great eye and really knows what makes a great wedding picture and he understands that for you, this is a lifetime memory. I have been to many weddings where the photographers are annoying and "in your face". After my wedding I didn't even know Charles had taken any pictures. He was so unobtrusive and came away with the most amazing pictures! When I got my wedding album I was so amazed by what I saw. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. You will not be sorry if you choose Charles Jablow as your wedding photographer.

Working with Charles and his team was a great experience. They were very responsive and anticipated my needs. Charles did a fantastic job taking my wedding pictures! He was early, professional, and easy to work with. He walked me through the entire procedure and blended in at the wedding. He responded quickly when I had questions. He was patient when I took a long time trying to pick which pictures to put in the album. My album was ready very quickly and looks gorgeous.

We would recommend Charles for anyone looking for fantastic pictures. There are a lot of photographers out there and we wanted someone with real qualifications, not someone that picked up a camera yesterday and calls themselves a photographer. There is also a wide ranges of prices out there... Charles is expensive, but certainly not the most expensive we saw. We liked the fact that his packages did not limit you to a certain number of hours or locations and a high resolution CD is included. He suggested a park for us to go to in between the church and the wedding. Those pictures turned out great with the fall leaves in color in the background. He also worked with us to customize a package. The engagement photos are amazing. He was very responsive with e-mail to help us coordinate all of the details. We are still working with him to finalize the pictures for our album. He took over 1200 photos!

Charles Jablow was the perfect photographer for our wedding in so many ways. Charles' not only did what we were expecting, he surpassed his job description in so many ways. From our engagement photo session to the wedding day to creating the wedding album, Charles and his staff were courteous, professional and flexible.

The day of our engagement photo session saw a torrential downpour and because of this Charles worked with us to find a new time the next day, even on extremely short notice. When reviewing the pictures we got our first taste of the difficulty in narrowing a large selection of fabulous photographs into a few highlights.

On our wedding day, Charles arrived to the church before most of the wedding party; he was one of the first to show up and the last person to leave. He showed up and was ready to work around our needs. Even when he was not taking pictures of us, he had scouted the area, the lighting and places around the grounds for prime photo backgrounds. The day of our wedding included a mix of candid and posed shots; this balance gave the final wedding album an extra intangible quality that makes it such a joy to look at again and again. Charles was on top of everything, when reviewing the photographs we saw that he didnt miss a beat with any of the traditional moments during the ceremony or reception. In fact, we were so pleased with his pictures of the reception (e.g. the decorations, cake, etc.) because we were so busy that we didnt get to the atmosphere as much as we wanted. Now the photos are in our wedding album and we can appreciate the fine detail of all the hard work that went into putting on this event.

After the wedding we moved across country. Charles and his staff worked with us to select our photos and start designing the wedding album. As previously mentioned, the most difficult task was narrowing hundreds of wonderful pictures into a wedding album. Two weeks after our wedding we were driving across country, and we had already seen the digital prototype of our wedding album. The detail and quality of the prototype was only surpassed by the real thing. Our wedding album is absolutely exceptional, a true memento to cherish for our lives together. Every person whom we share it with is amazed at the way the fresh and sleek layout accents the amazing quality of the photographs.

We are so pleased with our choice in Charles Jablow, and we highly recommend him for your photography needs.

Charles Jablow did a GREAT job on our wedding albums. His patience, professionalism, and punctuality was really appreciated. He had no time limits and was there from beginning to end of our wedding festivities. Him and his assistant, Desiree, worked tirelessly to design and complete our wedding albums. They gave me many options and let me put my input in so that I could have the albums of my dreams. I have shown many family and friends and have recieved numerous compliments. Charles is a great photographer! From the beginning when we were choosing album styles and discussing available packages to the detail in the finished product, Charles Jablow Photography was fantastic. Charles uses a unique photo selection process that allows you to compare side by side shots of the photos so you can make an informed selection for your wedding album. The pictures came out beautifully and the album is much more than a coffee-table masterpiece. He took all the right pictures to really capture the essence of the day. Five stars!

My photographer was so nice to work with and really helped guide us all day. She stayed until the end of the night and we are very pleased with how the pictures and the album turned out.

We have the most beautiful Bat Mitzvah album from Charles Jablow Photography. Not only are the photos great, but the album is really special. Pages have unique backgrounds that reflect our temple, the invitation, and our family. Charles was very professional and takes great pride in his work.

This was the one interaction from a wedding vendor that created an extremely stressful situation. There were constant, numerous problems from the start and the whole experience was completely stressful. We made a good faith effort to resolve the issues presented earlier in a mutually conducive manner but it never worked out. This was our experience: 1) First problem, photographer sends “assistant” to do contract negotiation. She is nice and workable and she did say she will review everything with him, which she did. He then agrees to certain things in the contract and then later says that he never “knew” about these things and that he never agreed to it. We finalized written contract with her and he later conveniently states that he never received it. 2) We were nickeled and dimed to no end, and never got a straight answer, with prices constantly changing on us. Things on the “contract” are constantly changing. For something small like metallic page finish which was written into the contract, we paid the fee upfront and he later said (months later) that it would be an extra surcharge. Apparently it was never verified that his supplier stopped offering this option years ago and that a new vendor would have to be contacted. This was something we really wanted, paid for, and that was never attained in the end. 3) No “photojournalistic style”, intrusive style, lining up everyone during our first dance, group photo was also too small to see everyone. Group shots of small groups before cocktail took so long, taking as long as 10-15 min for one group shot, painfully slow. Our friends and families hadn’t ordered photos from the collages website because so many of them weren’t included in the pics. Our families and friends took great photos that an “expert” photographer could not or did not capture. 4) Pictures that were ours were portrayed as extras, “background” etc. are ours and are not “extras”. A lot of our friends were not included (no group shots of dinner tables so a lot of people got left out). 5) We ended up doing the photographer’s work—picking out photos and dropping photos into folders that were created—isn’t this the photographer’s job? 6) Engagement photo session problems. Understood when dealing with his assistant that the jpgs of the smaller batch would be distributed with the wedding files—they never were. When he did release them, they were extremely tiny useless thumbnails that you couldn’t see anything on. 7) Calling us ½ hour prior to our wedding ceremony about the final payment—who does this? We had repeatedly finalized final payment 2 months prior but he so disorganized that he never took care of it and it became last minute “emergency” that he had take care of. I have to say the engagement session was reasonably well done, but you will get portrait type of shots from someone who trained in the 1970’s, never kept up with new photos techniques and is not able to do anything creative or cutting edge, however. I would like to say that did make an effort to have a photo of our jewelry, clothing as the entrée photo to the album, but these are the only positive things I can say.
