Absolutely amazing!

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT MARZ & HIS TEAM! I met Marz at a bridal expo January 2024 a couple weeks after getting engaged. I loved how he interacted with my family & me. I didn’t even have a wedding date yet but knew I wanted to book Marz. My sister & I posted pictures on social media & had a couple people reach out saying nothing but great things about Marz, which confirmed even more I wanted him for my wedding. When we found the venue we wanted for our wedding, I literally chose our wedding date based on dates that the venue & Charizma Entertainment were both available as I couldn’t have been more confident I wanted Charizma Entertainment as my DJ

I just got married this past Saturday. Marz had a huge surprise for us. Marz & Walt absolutely killed it, just like I knew they would. Our dance floor was never empty! I am so happy I chose Charizma Entertainment for my wedding & will always recommend them. Thank you Marz & Walt for helping make our wedding day as amazing as it was!

Charizma kept the Dance Floor Full!

CHARIZMA was the DJ for our wedding at the Chicago Cultural Center. They were fantastic. Walt and Jimmy kept the dance floor packed. They hyped up the crowd and made the evening one to remember. Prior to the wedding they did a call with the bride and room and reviewed the time line, music choices and made recommendations on how to make the evening flow smoother. They proposed an alternative timeline which we used and it worked out great. Marz, the main contact was very attentive, responsive and fun to deal with. We would definitely use Charizma for any other events requiring a DJ.

Incredible Wedding DJ and MC!

Walt and Jimmy were amazing! They kept the Dance Floor pumping for the entire reception, and had the perfect blend of music. Both Walt and Jimmy were incredibly professional.

Walt reached out to us ahead of our wedding to get an idea of what we were looking for in regards to music to play. And then they were able to roll with it, and make our wedding such a fun event!

We definitely will be using Charizma again for all of our DJ needs, and highly recommend booking them for your our events! They will not disappoint!

Amazing work

After my sisters wedding in 2018, we knew when it was time for us to get married that we were hiring Charizma Entertainment. Marz has a true talent at reading the guests & grabbing their attention. He truly makes you feel special on your wedding day, and keeps his full attention on the happiness of you and your guest from start to finish. Marz made our wedding the party we wanted!!!

We were lucky to have DJ Marz with DJ Jimmy T for our large wedding at the Chicago Cultural Center in mid-March. If you want guests to have a great time at your wedding, look no more! Marz is hands down the best DJ in Chicago, and quite possibly the world. I have now seen him at three weddings (including ours), and he absolutely MAKES the event. Let me explain: he will keep everything running smoothly; he will engage the crowd in creative ways; and he will get people on the dance floor. Full stop. He has SO much energy, and it will hype up your guests - believe me, he had EVERYONE dancing. As a Type A person (read: anxious bride), he was extremely responsive, and the online music/event planner was intuitive and easy to use, allowing us to have all of our “must play” songs available on our celebration night. Stop reading this review and give Charizma a call!

So man compliments!

Absolutely 1,000% recommend Marz and his team! Music for our reception was always important to me, and we couldn't have had a better pick.
We got SO many compliments throughout the night on how great our two DJs were. They got everyone up on the dance floor (from 2 years to 82 year olds) and involved in the fun. They did an amazing job of keeping the energy up, picking great songs, and changing songs to match the vibe. Seriously, we cannot recommend them enough!! They made the night so perfect.

Marz is a *MUST* for your big day!

Even 4 months later, the first thing we get complimented on is how exceptional Marz and his team was for our wedding day! Marz made the planning process so easy, feeling so customized and in-tune with what we envisioned for our wedding reception. He went out of his way to make sure we didn't have to worry about anything except having a good time. Night of, he was on-point in keeping the energy high, the music loud and spirits way, way up, especially after the past year's pandemic. A++ / Best Wedding Experience Ever!

If you don't hire Charizma Entertainment for your wedding or celebration in general... you're making a massive mistake. Marz and his team provide much more than DJ services. Charizma provided the sound and music for our ceremony, music for our cocktail hour and elevated our reception to heights I didn't know were possible for a wedding. Lets just say we should have requested a larger dance floor from our wedding venue. From the second the dance floor opened and all the way to the last song, the dance floor was jam packed. The Charizma Team did a phenomenal job starting the party and keeping it alive. The energy in the ballroom was like nothing I've ever witnessed at a wedding. Ari (our MC for the night) was hands down AWESOME! Her energy was electrifying and she did a phenomenal job making guests feel comfortable to dance. Heck, I'm not a huge dancer and I was breaking out moves I didn't know I had. All in all, I would recommend Charizma Entertainment over and over and over again. Thank you to the Charizma Team for making our special night one for the ages and an evening our guests will never forget.

AMAZING. Kept the party going!

We are so happy we booked Charizma Entertainment for our wedding. it was one of the best decisions we made! Marz was wonderful to work with as we planned for our big day. Walt did a phenomenal job as our DJ. He read the room and made sure the music was getting our guests on the dance floor. David was an excellent emcee. He interacted with our guests and kept the party going all night. Our wedding was over a year ago now, and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding. DJ Tim and Dominique are AMAZING

Honestly we wanted Marz but he was already booked. He recommended Dj Tim and we took him up on the offer.

It was a great time. He was so nice and responsive and played all the hits. Dominique made sure to keep everything rolling and we had a great time. The dance floor had ppl on it all night. 10/10 and I wish we could replay the night again. Thank you guys so much!!!!

Way More Than Your Average DJ!

This company is absolutely amazing and they have really shaken up what my wife and I have come to expect from a "wedding DJ". Their use of a DJ/MC combo keeps the energy of reception moving the entire time and they really know how to get EVERYONE up and moving! My wife and I first experienced Charizma Entertainment at my lifelong buddy's wedding where we first met the founder, Marz. Before the night was over he had received so many compliments that we just had to have him for our wedding the following summer. After sitting down and contacting them about the date Marz discovered he was booked, but assured us we would be in great hands with his partner, Walt. We initially thought that no one could top the MC performance that Marz brought at my buddy's wedding, but we were so mistaken! Walt absolutely rocked our wedding and yet again, the compliments flooded in! So many of our guests said that it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding and we couldn't agree more! No matter who your MC/DJ crew is, this company will put on a performance you and your guests surely won't forget!

Best Wedding DJ in the biz!

We hired DJ Walt Downing via Charizma Entertainment and could not have been happier! Walt kept the party going all night long and ran the whole event like a true professional. I can not more highly recommend Walt!

If you want people to dance, laugh, and say "awwwwe" all night - hire Walt! If you want your event to be lame - hire anyone else.

I still have people who come up to me and remark about how Walt is the best wedding DJ they have ever seen and they are right!

Charizma Entertainment was the best choice we made for our wedding. The amount of energy and professionalism that was displayed throughout our reception was astonishing. Every friend and family member at our wedding raved about our choice of vendor. We even had a friend cancel her initial DJ for her summer wedding in order to hire Charizma Entertainment. She was THAT impressed. We loved working with Charizma and the entire process of working with them was incredibly smooth and fun-filled. DJ Marz has a great sense of humor and a remarkable talent. He is incredible at reading the crowd and knowing how to keep guests on the dance floor all night. Most importantly, he knows how to keep the guests wanting more! He would sing and dance with the crowd, and he never let the energy in the room die down. Everyone left that wedding with amazing memories. I am so sad it's over! Hiring Charizma Entertainment was the best possible choice for our wedding. With a guest list of 150 and a family that loves to party, Charizma went above and beyond to keep the party going! Marz and David were our DJ/MC pair and they were so much fun! My husband even got a chance to DJ for a while and everyone loved it! Music wise, they seemlessly mixed the music perfectly and never stayed to long on one song. Seriously, my entire family was dancing for hours and hours! They also were great at keeping everything running smoothly and on time. Again, Charizma was the best possible choice for us, they did an amazing job. We are so glad we went with Charizma Entertainment for our wedding. We had come across Charizma through--funnily enough--a work Christmas event, where Marz had done an excellent job as an emcee and had referred to the eventual bride-to-be as the "Devil in the Blue Dress." Having this good vibe with Marz already, we were happy to work with him, but we have to say that him and his DJ exceeded all expectations. We had been expecting a great time, but had not anticipated that he would have all the tables up and dancing with his 45 second dance off contests, and that he would get the mother and sister of the bride up on the dance floor. Simply put, if you want the ultimate "hype" man, go with Charizma Entertainment, and request MC Marz. Thank you so much for making our wedding so much fun.

5 stars is just not enough. Marz was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting, to the day of the wedding he took care of any and every detail, to ensure that I had nothing to worry about. I literally CANNOT say enough good things about our DJ, Walt! We went to a wedding a few years before where he DJ'd and I knew right then I wanted him for my wedding and I wasn't even engaged yet. Fast forward 3 years and Walt put on the best show. He gets the crowd involved from start to finish, he gathered some guys to serenade me during dinner, he taught guests new dances, he freestyle rapped and was dressed so sharp! Our guests raved about him and continue to talk about how he was the highlight of our wedding reception. If you want an amazing party, seriously, book Walt!

So, it’s been three days since my daughter’s wedding, and I haven’t been able to post a review because I’M STILL DANCING! Charizma knocked it out of the park! Everyone at the reception has commented that it was the BEST WEDDING EVER!
These people are pros: Marz and Walt (and team) worked with us in the planning stage to ensure that my daughter and son-in-law’s entertainment vision was met. Marz peppered them with questions to ensure that he was in sync with their ideas. Marz made sure to include all the special shout-outs and recognitions that we gave him.
These folks worked the room. My 90-year-old mother was having a blast, and she commented that “they really know what they’re doing.” At one point, EVERYONE was on the dance floor… even Aunt Jeannie with her walker! Walt and Marz read the group and kept the music going all night long! I’ve already had 2 referral requests for Charizma!
There are not enough stars to rate the Charizma team. They exceeded expectations in every respect: from planning through execution, they made the evening memorable… not just for my daughter, but for every guest in attendance. Charizma rocks!

I wish our review of Marz & Charizma could just be a video of our wedding. If you want all your friends and family to have the best night of their lives… go with Charizma. We had so many people come up to us and tell us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. That is all because of Marz and Walt!!!! Marz noticed a few potential hiccups before the reception started and pulled us aside to knock it out fast and make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail was beyond impressive. When we had a meeting with Marz he asked us what would you like us to play, we said “I don’t care, just make sure everyone has a good time and is on the dance floor”. A very difficult task in our opinion but they delivered better than we could have ever expected (maybe a little too much because they put people in such a good mood they started dancing on chairs…. Myself included). We have already recommended them to a close friend of ours who was unable to attend our wedding because they were off getting engaged. When I got back to work after our honeymoon, my whole office had heard about how awesome our reception was and how great of a time all of my coworkers had. We can’t give enough praise to Marz and Walt. I wish I could give them 50 stars. We are so thankful to the both of them and everything they did for us. Everyone says that your wedding day is the happiest day of your life but because of them it was also hands down the most fun we have ever had.

We were beyond pleased with our experience, from start to finish. Our guests continue to talk about the DJs (and so do we). The music and flow of the evening was perfect. We absolutely loved Charizma. From start to finish, they were professional, responsive, and fun. Leslie was our emcee and DJ. I have never seen a dance floor fill up so quickly, and many of my guests said it was the most fun they have had at a wedding, which I know is in large part thanks to Charizma. She got everyone very excited during our intros, and perfectly transitioned between the different moments during the wedding. I have absolutely no complaints! When my husband and I got engaged we had a family member call us raving about Marcellus... best DJ out there. We made contact shortly after and I'm glad we did because he books up quickly. Charizma came recommended to us by a friend of ours and her family who had Walt as the Emcee at a cousin's wedding. After speaking with Marz over the phone and taking a look at some of their videos, we were 110% sold! They made the planning process so easy -- they've got an online portal that you can submit all your song requests and enter your event timeline. On the day of the wedding, Walt was super helpful - checking in on us during dinner and boy oh boy did he put on a show! From the impromptu dancing/singing at the dinner tables to the jam packed dance floor... we can't say enough great things about Walt & Charizma. We had people contacting us the next day about what a great wedding it was and how much fun they had dancing! I wish we could have them at every party we threw! :)

All I have to say is OMG! Walt did a fantastic job!!' My dance floor was packed all night!!! Charizma knows what they're doing if you're looking for a super fun reception! Marz was so amazing!! He was one of the best parts of our wedding!! He was so much fun to work with throughout the wedding planning process. Charizma is very organized and they have a portal to input wedding requests and songs so that it makes things very easy! Marz also did an amazing job assuring me that he had things covered and that everything would run smoothly on the wedding night (I was very nervous and high strung). He got the party started from the first song and kept things going all the way till the end! Our wedding was two weeks ago and we still have people telling us how much fun they had and how great of an emcee Marz was! I would HIGHLY recommend Charizma (and especially Marz) for your wedding!!

There are not enough words to express how happy we were with Charizma! We got married Saturday and if there is one thing about our wedding that ALL of our guests have raved about it was our DJ's! Marz and his associate were phenomenal! The crowd was pumped from start to finish, and there was never a moment when the dance floor was empty. Marz has an incredible stage presence and I especially appreciated that he would get on the floor and dance with the guests. One of my favorite moments from the night was when Marz played "Rock Lobster" for my dad, and he came on to the dance floor to go crazy with us! Unforgettable! This man knows how to get a party started and keep it going until the very last moment. He was incredibly interactive with the crowd. He is a force to be reckoned with. These guys know what they're doing, and they were worth every penny. We had a great party, and we have Marz to thank.

FUN, FUN, FUN!!! Charizma Entertainment brought joy and the party vibe to our wedding this past September. We hired Marz as our MC and he was phenomenal!!!! I asked for one thing they day we met- to make every guest of ours dance and have a great time. He delivered! All of our guests were on the dance floor and having an amazing time. My husband and I were barely sitting down but danced the night away. His crew and him are an amazing pair and I would recommend Marz to anyone. He made sure the day ran smoothly. Although there were some unexpected moments in our wedding, like no father and daughter dance, Marz reassured us that it would all work out in the end and it did! He really put us at ease with the music selection and the vibe of our wedding. He made our wedding an unforgettable day to our guests and us!

Our wedding was only 9 days ago (October 22, 2016) and I'm already having withdrawals. Walt was AMAZING as MC and everyone at our reception raved about him. He even helped my now husband and I with some moves for our first dance. My situation was unique in that our wedding was in Chicago (my hometown) but my husband and I live in Los Angeles. Walt was more than accommodating in making sure to schedule face time meetings with us and make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it. The uplighting package was astounding and so beautiful. I walked in the room not knowing what to expect and I was simply blown away! I want Walt to be my hype man just for life in general. When I go to Starbucks, I want him there hyping up the barista to spell my name right. Lmao! Marz was also excellent to work with; the whole team was! I HIGHLY recommend you use Charizma for your next event. I'm so sad it's over but the memories will last us a lifetime.

Charizma could not have been a better fit for our wedding! My husband Kyle and I, got married on 9/3 and Marz had the party going from start to FINISH! We have been to many, many weddings throughout our relationship.. and we both had agreed that we have never been so impressed with the professionalism and fun that Marz was able to provide throughout the ENTIRE night!

While attending a bridal expo back in November, Charizma stood out to me. You don't hear the same robotic sentences come out when they are at those shows like you would other DJ/Entertainment companies. I really connected with Marz and his team when he was explaining how they recently did a wedding where the Father of the Bride had an illness which took away his ability to walk, yet alone do a first dance with his daughter and how they were still able to accommodate that special first moment between father and daughter despite ANY illness. It brought me to tears, because I was instantly able to relate as at the time, my fiance's father was battling ALS. If you do anything for your wedding book Charizma. Change the date of your wedding so you can have them there. Our wedding was one of the best because of them. People who do not even dance thought they were great. Marz kept the party going from start to finish and we had people on the floor until the very last note played.
I promise you will never regret working with this coming and their amazing people. All wedding needs can be met through them. They will help in whatever way possible. Marz had all the details for our day under control and we had nothing to worry about.

We used Charizma for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah and they were outstanding! From start to finish, they were organized, enthusiastic and helpful. Marz worked with us to make sure we could meet our budget and went out of his way to make sure we were informed all the way through the process. Arianna was our MC and was fantastic! We met with her before the party and she was instrumental in helping us plan the flow of the party. Both Walt and Arianna were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! They kept the energy high and the dancing non-stop. All of our guests have commented on what great entertainment they provided. PICK THIS DJ. Every single person I have talked to about my wedding has talked about how amazing the party was, and how we have "ruined" wedding DJ's for them (I simply tell them to call Charizma themselves). This was directly because of the amazing work by Walt, or as my groomsmen have nicknamed him "DJ Funky Bunch". When we first had our consultation with Charizma, we were a little concerned. We were a little wary about the "one-minute dance parties" and whether or not we really needed an emcee. Trust me, having Walt or another Charizma emcee will help your party move so smoothly. We were sold by attending another wedding in July 2015. Walt knew how to get the dance floor full, and when he couldn't he had the couple do the bouquet or garter toss, or the chair game. We booked the second we got home. Working with Walt is so easy, he's an amazing person with the most easygoing personality. Our wedding was the most smooth sailing party ever. Somehow he took our vague answers on our "party style" during the consultation and magically turned it into a playlist better than we could have come up with ourselves. The floor was packed all night, and Walt was in the middle the whole time giving everyone dance moves to try. And remember those "one-minute dance parties" that I was worried about? The first one, my relatives that I was a bit concerned would think it was lame or cheesy went nuts and danced on the chairs. The next one, they didn't even stay at the tables and bum-rushed the dance floor. And the floor really didn't clear from then on, minus when we had to stop for a few minutes to toss stuff. April 2 was the greatest night of my life, my husband and I danced the night away and had a night that everyone will remember for a very long time. Thank you Walt and Charizma :)

When my fiance and I decided we were going with a DJ (instead of a band) we wanted to make sure we were happy with our decision. I have to say, it was a fantastic decision! We were so glad to have not only a DJ but also an emcee. Walt and Joey Beef did a phenomenal job. They were easy to communicate with when we needed anything, the Charizma website is super user friendly and convenient, and Walt is entertaining! Not only did they communicate with me, but also my bridesmaids to plan a surprise flash mob of my dance students. Unreal!! So many people came up to us and stated, "Your DJ is the best one we have seen!" I have to agree because they played our songs we requested but they also read the room. People were dancing from their tables waiting for dinner and they were dancing on the floor until the lights came up and it was time to leave. Now that's a good party! Arianna was dynamite! She met with us prior to our event and got a feeling for who we are and how we click. Arianna made an immediate connection with our daughter, which put our daughter at ease, made her feel comfortable in advance of her "big day". During the event, Arianna and her team kept about 80 kids engaged and involved in the games, songs and dances that she lead and the equally enthusiastic Charisma DJ and dancers facilitated. Arianna was enthusiastic and personable from start to finish, and everyone adored her dynamic engagement with the kids and the other guests. Several times during our party Arianna checked in with me to make sure I was OK, and to see if I needed anything or had any requests. I had discovered Charizma very early on in our wedding planning through the very first Bridal Expo I had visited. When it was time to start booking a DJ, my finace and I went through all the cards we had picked up at all the events and explored each website. Our initial interest began at www.doyouhavecharizma.com. They had so many things to offer; DJ/MC combination, uplighting, lounge chairs, air bar, professional club dancers, etc. It seemed like they really knew how to throw a party. We contacted them and they were wonderful to work with. Each person we came in contact with was personable and very easy to communicate with. Arianna, our MC that night, was even able to meet with us over Skype a few times since we lived 3 hours away from our wedding venue and Charizma. The wedding planning website is very easy to use to access. The made our monogram light for the dance floor and it was stunning. DJ Flo knows how to do his job! He is phenomenal - and that's coming from us, who both majored in music in college!! He knew how to make great transitions and mixes and he was great at reading the crowd and the interests of each song! Arianna also did a great job keeping everyone partying hard. (And her dance moves to Single Ladies is great, too!) All in all, they are a wonderful company. If I were to do it all again, I would most definitely choose Charizma again!

Arianna and the team were fabulous. I couldn't have asked for more. Arianna was absolutely spectacular -- she engaged the kids and adults, made my son feel like a superstar and made the party rock. People are still talking about how much fun they had at our wedding, and I believe it's because Charizma Entertainment made the night! I have never attended a wedding where a true MC runs the show while the DJ runs the music side - and that is what made all the difference having both Marz and Floren at our wedding. We met with Marz (owner/MC) a handful of times before our wedding to discuss what kind of people we are, music we like, our family background... "getting to know you" sessions... all the while we got to know more about Marz, too. He rants and raves about his wife and twin girls (who we FaceTimed at the reception), and that says something about a businessman's character.

Marz provided us with an online tool that we used to create our entire playlist, which was awesome because we heard all the songs we loved, and didn't have to worry about the ones we didn't. Too many times we've attended weddings where NO ONE is dancing because the music selection is horrible. Marz and Floren were able to cater to the different crowds, including our parents' friends (oldies and disco), all the way to late night old school college rap. I've never seen a man dance so much in my life as well. Marz was in it to win it, from start to finish. I think he got his exercise for the day, and I totally won the dougie battle! :)

We can't imagine what our wedding would have been like had we chosen a different vendor; the beauty is that he is the preferred vendor at our location, so it was a no-brainer in selection. The night was an absolute blast and I wish I could relive it - SO much fun with Charizma... you won't be disappointed with this vendor.

Highly, highly recommend Marz and his company. Many guests of our wedding asked for his information and some have already booked with him. Marz was the best MC and his DJ was awesome. We heard many comments from our guests like, "this is the best MC/DJ we have ever heard!" "How did you find such an awesome MC/DJ?!" "When I get married I want to have him!"

Our wedding was on August 29th, 2015. We had decided on a dj vs a band, for personal preference. I had been using theknot.com, weddingwire.com, and yelp.com to find wedding vendors. I look to reviews as a base for deciding on vendors. I found Charizma on these various sites. Charizma had amazing reviews, so we decided to meet with the djs. I had spoken with Marz, and he told me he would have Walt available for our day. So we met with Walt and immediately felt comfortable with him. He's super personable, relaxed, natural. We booked him then and there. We decided on a package where Walt would be the MC (entertainer), and we had a separate DJ taking care of the music.I told him I was going to need a mix of Polish and Italian music, and we sat down together to get it all taken care of. At first, I was nervous as to how Walt was going to mix in the Polish and Italian music - well, Walt killed it! Our dance floor was PACKED. I mean, PACKED, all the way to 1 am. Our party would not have been the same without Walt. My uncles who never dance at weddings, were dancing! Everyone was raving about the dj. I can't even really put into words how great Walt and the dj delivered... you would just need to be understand. He transitioned between the English, Polish, and Italian PERFECTLY. He got involved in the crowd, engaged with our guests, but wasn't pushy with guests who didn't want to get up. His energy MADE people want to get up. He thought of personalized songs and plans for songs to really honor me and my husband. If you want a true PARTY for your wedding, Charizma is the only way to go. People still talk about our dj and how amazing he was. We've had a lot of people tell us that our wedding was the best they've ever attended, and we can't help but think the same. :) THANK YOU SO MUCH WALT!!! Because of you, our wedding is unforgettable. My words aren't even doing you justice... you truly are doing what you are meant to do!

We could not have asked for a better DJ/MC service! We were absolutely blown away by the service that Charizma provided us! They went above and beyond our expectations in every way, definitely one of the highlights of our Wedding! We worked closely with Marz to create a video montage in place of the Father/Daughter Dance, which turned out SPECTACULAR! Everyone was shocked with how he captured the bond and love that is shared between my father and myself. We also worked closely with Walt for our First Dance and he was also the MC for the Wedding. He was BEYOND AMAZING! He definitely got the energy level up and kept everyone dancing the entire night! Continuing to make sure that everyone was involved and happy was his specialty. We continue to hear compliments about our wedding, and everyone was specifically impressed/blown away with Walt and his amazing talents!!

My wife Elizabeth and I hired Charizma for our wedding reception in Glencoe, IL. Mars kept our guests of all ages engaged in the entertainment. The dance floor was always full with smiling faces. Mars far exceeded our expectations and we would recommend Charizma without hesitation.

Working with Charizma was a great experience! The music and our Emcee Arianna was one of the most complimented things about the night from guests. Everything flowed perfectly, every song we requested was played and Arianna helped get guests get on the dance floor and stay on the dance floor! No one sat the entire wedding after dinner! Everyone was dancing!

From our first meeting in March, to the day of the wedding, Charizma took great care of us. I would definitely recommend the company and Arianna for future weddings and events around the Chicago area. Simply amazing!

Walt was amazing. He kept everyone involved and even came out personally to find the groom and myself to get us on the dance floor! the atmosphere was inspiring and having Walt announcing and staging songs made it that much more special. His introductions for special songs and speeches are quite unique and down right awesome!

Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better DJ in Walt. While he followed exactly what we asked for, he added his own flare, games, etc. to make everyone at our reception have an absolute BLAST. I am still receiving compliments. He played the hits, he played oldies, he played all of our requests; you can't get any better than that! We also used their photo booth option and loved having that little memory of all of our guests.

I really truly believe this company is the best there is for the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois. They were recommended to us by friends and I will continue to recommend them each time we are asked who our DJ was. Great job, Charizma, and thank you SO much, Walt!

Walt at Charizma was hands down the best DJ I have ever seen. I have been to a ton of weddings and I was always looking out for the perfect DJ to do my wedding and I discovered Walt at a friends wedding and I knew right off the bat that he was a perfect fit. He made the wedding an amazing party and made sure everyone in the room was having a great time. At our wedding, he was amazing!!! I got so many compliments on how awesome he was. Where do I even begin? Marz and Charizma entertainment went above and beyond my expectations for our wedding reception! One of the things I told Marz when I called for a consultation was "I want our guests to have the time of their life" and that is exactly what happened. From the first phone call with him to the end of our reception, Marz was amazing and he delivered on every promise. Our guests had so much fun. We had so many people come up and tell us that it was the absolute best wedding they'd ever been to. The Charizma crew kept our guests engaged from the very first song played and our dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT!! Marz is the absolute best and I would HIGHLY recommend him and Charizma to anyone. I can't even begin to thank Marz and his crew enough for making our wedding reception so AMAZING!!!

The whole selection process went very smoothly and was handled professionally from the first inquiry to the end. Being long distance in our planning stages, there was a some trepidation on calling unknown sources but my concerns were put to rest in short order. In our initial meeting with Walt the DJ, I sensed his professionalism and knew things would turn out okay but that is a gross understatement. From the beginning of the reception, Walt read the room perfectly and everyone had a fantastically great time. Being a little older and having a group of wide aged guests Walt played something for everyone and one guest even commented, "I didn't know I was going to get a dance lesson!" Every guest commented on the music/entertainment and wondered where did we get this great guy. Along with Walt doing the emceeing was a professional sound man and the evening turned out flawless. There are no words to describe my experience with Marz and Charizma Entertainment except, AMAZING! When I first saw Marz MC at a wedding expo in Gurnee back in early 2014, I knew he was good. My fiance and I happened to book our wedding with a venue that Marz frequently worked with and when we went to that venues tasting, we were amazed that Marz was the MC/DJ there since the tasting was set up as a mock wedding for everyone that booked with that venue. Months before the wedding, Marz and his staff were so accommodating and were always on top of things. From listening to what exactly my fiance and I wanted for our reception, to making a mix for my father/daughter dance and for understanding that I had forgotten a couple names for our wedding parties introduction, Marz calmed me down and said "theres no wrong way, just your way. We got this!" Marz delivered and I could not be happier. He hyped up the crowd and involved all of our guest. The dance floor was not empty all night! I loved it! Ive been to weddings where people do not dance and the dance floor is empty half the time and I was afraid of my wedding turning out like that. IT DIDNT! People were dancing nonstop! Marz your energy is contagious and you have an amazing gift with what you do! Thank you sooooo much from the bottom of my heart for making mine and Brians wedding so memorable. This is our second year using Charizma for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago's Move for the Kids 5K Walk/Run. I can't say enough good things about the staff and our experience. Let me tell you about Walt. Walt is not only the most phenomenal wedding entertainer I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing, but also a beautiful man. When I arrived at the reception, my eyes landed on Walt and I was instantly furious that I was no longer the best looking man in the room, but Walt has a gift for winning people over. His style, his personality, dare I say...his charisma. It wasn't long before I went from feelings of jealousy to being honored to be in his presence. He had the entire reception under control, made sure the evening went off without a hitch, and knew exactly how to keep the dance floor bumping the entire night. If anyone managed to get lucky with one of the bridesmaids, there is no doubt it was thanks to Walt and the great atmosphere he created. The bride told me when she was shopping around for D.J.s that meeting Walt was love at first sight and choosing him was the easiest decision she made regarding the wedding and it was obvious to anyone at that reception why. I knew I had to write a review. It would be a crime against humanity for me not to inform everyone I can about Walt. My entire life has been leading up to this moment. I was born to write about Walt. I am also hoping he sees this and leaves me his phone number, because damn. I used to think I was straight until I met Walt. Now I'm not so sure. This wasn't my wedding, but you better believe if I ever find a woman who can tame this stallion, Walt will be there. In fact, I want Walt to start parties and announce me every time I walk in a room. If I have a successful bowel movement, I want Walt to kick off the Electric Slide. If I should die from lack of oxygen thanks to Walt leaving me breathless, I want him to D.J. my funeral. I don't know what else to say. If you are still not convinced Walt can make your reception one everybody will remember, then I'm shocked you were able to find someone to agree to marry you in the first place.

It is so hard to put into words on how phenomenal this crew is with their services. I literally knew the day I walked in for my first consultation that they were perfect and going to make my wedding day miraculous. The uplighting was done perfectly as well. Marz is so amazing at what he does. We started planning for my wedding only three months in advance- and they were so flexible with making it all happen. Marz is so sincere and one of a kind. He helped me through the extra stress I had and planned out my day perfectly with having the difficulties doing a dad and a step dad dance. They are absolutely flexible and there for you through every step of your planning till your wedding day. He did my ceremony music, which turned out perfect and beautiful. When it came to my reception- wine got spilt on my dress and thanks to Marz he distracted everyone in the whole entire room by getting them off their feet, dancing while I was fixing myself up. Not one person noticed or even knew I was gone for a second. Every single person in the room the whole night was on the dance floor, on their chairs and having a blast. This crew made my wedding night one to remember and every single one of my guests said this was the best wedding they have ever been to- and it would not have been so amazing without this crew. Everyone loved them and I couldn’t be more thankful for choosing them to be my DJ and Photo Booth service for my special day <3 I would 100% recommend this crew to anyone. They were there early even helping my family set up the reception hall. You won’t regret it- they are more than spectacular and way more than five stars!! I feel like I am leaving out so much- but it is that hard to put their professional and outstanding work into words! My cousin also chose them for her wedding and they also made her night one of a kind and OUTSTANDING.

Marz and our family have known each other for 18 years as he was the DJ for our family celebrations going back to 1997. When we decided to have our wedding music at Spiaggia be performed by a DJ, my young adult children said of course you will call Marz. He is the best. And he was. The simplest helpful feedback would be to say on behalf of Maggie and Martin that we would not change a thing that he brought to the evening, from elegant up-lighting to enhance the beauty of Spiaggia that was flowered by Natural Beauties to his actions as Master of Ceremonies, down to the introductions of the groom, the best men, and the brides family. He worked tirelessly for 6 hours with an artistic flair and the flow of great music only saved for people who are the best. He integrated an electric violinist into some of his sets as though they had worked together forever, having only played together recently. ONWARD TO THE NEXT MOMENTOUS EVENT IN OUR FAMILY MARZ...

DJ Marz was absolutely incredible!! Throughout the entire time we were working with Charizma Entertainment, we experienced nothing but friend professional people. We met with Marz once to talk about songs we wanted for the major parts of the wedding, and from that single meeting Marz ran with our music taste and nailed every aspect of not only the music, but also the atmosphere and energy we wanted throughout the entire night. Not once did we ever have to worry about the music for our wedding. Marz and his assistant accommodated not only all of our guests requests, but also my wife and I's request to set up a guitar and microphone to that we could have someone play a couple songs during the night. I have, and will continue to recommend DJ Marz and Charizma Entertainment to anyone who needs this type of service. They helped us have a truly amazing night.

The Charizma team did not disappoint! I worked with Marz through our whole event and he was so helpful with thoughts and ideas, and the overall execution of our wedding was fabulous!! We had wanted Marz to MC for us from the start, that was our main concern from the beginning, I think we would have changed our wedding date just to make sure he could be there, he just brings so much life and energy to an event, its like no other. The other staff that helped out, Walt and Sasha were great as well!! They provided the lighting in the room as well as our photo booth and both ran smoothly, I think at one point we had to have the paper refilled in the photo booth because it was used to much! The Charizma team was so easy to work with, they were super nice to the staff of our wedding venue as well, which is a big deal for me, since I am also in the Hospitality business. We had the best experience with Walt our Dj. It's almost 2 months after the wedding and the first thing people say about they wedding was wow ur DJ was great!! Charizma was fabulous!! They were very professional from start to finish!! Ariana, our MC was amazing! She really listened to what we wanted and had great energy and enthusiasm on the day of the event. She had everyone dancing at our daughter's Bat Mitzvah--adults and kids of all ages!! We already had high hopes on how great Marz would be at our wedding because of the good reviews we read and his personable character. He told us our wedding would be amazing. I had high confidence in him, but I had no idea our wedding would be that amazing. Our guests could not stop talking about how awesome our DJ was. Others said they had never been to a wedding with such a great D.J. Marz interacted with guests. There were a lot of children at our wedding and he had them all come out on the dance floor and they did the dance to the song from Frozen. In between courses during dinner he would do 1 minute dance party having all the guests stand on the chairs and dance. Our venue employee didn't know how to work their equipment and messed up our video that suppose to played and Marz stepped in and tried to sync music to the video so it looked like it was working. Guests danced the entire night. I can't thank Marz enough for making our wedding so memorable. Marz said something that I didn't fully understand until the night of our wedding. "If you live in the moment, the moment will not fail you." Thank you Marz!!!!

Jason & I met Marz (owner) at a wedding expo & instantly clicked with him. We met with other vendors & while it's great when they show you their equipment & music inventory, what you really should pay most attention to is their personality & how they interact with you. Out of everyone we met with, Marz was obviously the best. He was very attentive, professional, had great suggestions/ideas & you could just feel his passion & excitement for what he does. That man truly prides himself in making your reception an affair to remember. The day of our wedding he made sure that every single one of our guests was up & dancing, having a good time. He made it fun & interactive without making anyone feel awkward or "on the spot". We loved how he was getting our guests pumped before it was time to officially start dancing. He did these little "one minute dance parties" where he got everyone waving their hands, dancing in their seats. We were also very happy at his attention to detail & how he kept checking in with us to make sure we were happy & having a good time. We keep getting compliments on how fun our reception was. Even our photographer complimented us on our DJ selection! I don't think I've ever been to a wedding where everyone in attendance stays dancing until the very end, but that was exactly the case on our night. No one wanted to leave! Everyone that started the night with us ended the night with us & it was just so much fun. We even had a few "wedding crashers" from the weddig next door because our reception "was where the party was at". We decided that they're stuck with us for life. Any future parties that require DJ services, we will be giving Marz a call. He truly is the best in the biz. Thank you Marz!!!

Charizma owner Marz met with us at our venue well before our date to look at the space and discuss staging. We then filled in his online site for our music requests, and later spoke by phone with the DJ Marz assigned to us. We were completely pleased with every aspect! Our DJ was full of personality and played exactly the type of music we wanted. He also set up staging to customize the size of the space to our group. Everything was top-notch, and we would recommend Charizma to anyone who wants a fabulous, highly professional DJ.

Marz was awesome! He kept the dance floor busy by doing different things all the time. He got several different group dances going through out the night. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about him for several months after. He really made our wedding a special event.
We highly recommend Marz and Charizma Entertainment for any event.
