Patient and helpful
Chanel is AMAZING! I used them for hair and makeup for my Indian/Sri Lankan wedding. I had 4 events that I wanted different looks for, but I didn’t know the exact looks I wanted to go with. By just telling them the vague ideas I had, they ran with it and exceeded all of my expectations. I could not be happier with all of my looks!! I would and HAVE recommend them to everyone!
On top of being as talented as they are, the entire team was just an amazing pleasure to work with! Even with the 2:30am start time, they were more energetic than the bridal party! -

Patient & Welcoming
Chanel is not only fantastic at what she does, she’s such a hard worker. Chanel did my makeup for my wedding day, along with my bridesmaids and both moms. Everyone was so happy with her work. Chanel and team are efficient people. I had 11 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and myself to get ready for the big day. Honestly, just trusting the Chanel team will leave you impressed. They know what they are doing. Chanel and her team are very professional and really know how to make you feel so beautiful. My bridal trial was super fun because I told Chanel what I would like and she ran with that idea. She made my vision a million times better. Chanel was one of my best vendors and I cannot thank her and her team enough for doing an amazing job on me and my family/friends. Everyone needs chanel in their life, literally. -

I would give them 10 stars if I could. If you're wondering if you should book these ladies for an upcoming event, the answer is YES!!!!!
I had the most fun and amazing experience with the Chanel . ladies during the week of my wedding. They are so easy to work with and make you look and feel like the most beautiful version of yourself. Their skill, vision, and professionalism is unparalleled! I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup from my guests and I could not have been happier. I can't recommend this lovely group of ladies enough - they are truly the best in the Chicago/ Naperville area -

Sweetest Artist Ever!
Chanel is a wonderful makeup artist! She is very sweet and has a very gentle touch when applying the makeup. She is also great with her use of products! On top of that, she is easy to talk to and always makes sure that you’re comfortable and satisfied. I would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking to get their makeup done with glam and a warm experience! -

I booked makeup and hair services for my wedding in March. I was unable to book a trial, but I was confident they would do a fantastic job. I was not disappointed! Brushed did an amazing job. My makeup and hair was absolutely perfect for my wedding!! I definitely recommend booking makeup and hair services with Brushed. -

I'm so very disappointed that I have to write this. I booked her in May & made an appt for a trial for when I would fly back to Dallas, TX where she was living. She just had a baby but I had booked my appt months in advance. She let me know last minute that she had a doc appt for her son. She assured me she'd have enough time to do my HMU before my flight. The trial was DIASTER &I felt horrible. There was no fan fair like you typically get with a HMUA trial that she did for her previous brides. She didn't have all the makeup needed & of course, did't have time to do my my vintage finger wave bob correctly. I expressed it later on to her so she set me up in Chicago with another hair trial w/ "one of her stylist" for free. The woman did NOT even know HOW to do it I & when she was done expected to be paid. I told her Chanel said it was suppose to be free. AWKARD. So cut to the Saturday before my wedding. Chanel lets me know that Southwest flights have been canceled & the was waiting to get rebooked. Sunday rolls around & she never made it. She had 3 weddings that day! She did't communicate to me that she had not been able to get another flight. Her website (that she acts like is a 3rd party entity), notified me the morning of. The MUA for my bridesmaids ended up having to do my makeup & Chanel was communicating to HER which SHE had to tell me. The hair woman NEVER showed up either. So Chanel got a woman from Indiana to come who didn't have enough time to do it right. Next day I get a $50 late charge from her "agency" because I had not paid the final balance. I told her I was NOT paying that because of the experience I had. I thought she would've compensated me. She tried to say she couldn't control the late fee & that her "administration" did it.. I flat out said I was not paying. So cut to a couple of days ago. The woman who ACTUALLY did my makeup text me. Come to find out she never got paid. She said Chanel was giving her the run around & even told her that I never paid. I showed her the receipts for the Oct. 12th. She confronted Chanel who responded with more lies. Saying that she thought she'd been paid. That she sent her check. That even SHE had not gotten paid from the "administration HR" yet. This was horrible costumer service & unethical practices. She rendered no services, collected the money & hasn't paid the artist. She could've booked another airlines other than southwest. 3 brides trusted her to do their MU that day & she wasn't transparent about what was going on. The MUA told me also that Chanel had only booked her to do services FOUR DAYS before my wedding even though I had booked in May! She also said Chanel told her the night before that she wasn't coming & the MUA asked if she had told me to which Chanel replied she was going to call me after she got off the phone with her. She didn't. I believe she kept all of those appoints because if we had found out she wasn't coming she wouldn't have been able to collect the final payments. She is unethical and I will be seeking compensation on behalf of myself & the MUA she has not paid. DO NOT BOOK WITH HER. She is VERY CAVALIER & NONCHALANT about the whole thing & doesn't care that I had a horrible experience on my special day. I paid for HER to do MY HMU. She didn't & now hasn't paid the ACTUAL MUA & probably the hair lady as well.
