Highly recommend.

Gary took the time to know and document the order of events and checked in with us and the venue and photographer repeatedly to make sure everything went according to our wishes which included a specially edited version of The Hora.
We left some of the song choices to his discretion, based on our choices, and they were big hits.

Fantastic!

Gary was our DJ for our wedding this past weekend and he was phenomenal! He allowed my husband to be a part of every decision and playlist made and seamlessly made out eclectic tastes in music all come together. The dance floor stayed packed and he even made 3 flower girls very very happy with a very special request. Bonus points with all of the name pronunciations! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ!

Great Day DJ . Highly recommend !!

Great Day Entertainment, led by Gary, was the perfect DJ choice for our wedding. Gary was very responsive in our communications leading up to the big day, and he was on the ball with playing all of our music requests. We couldn't imagine any other DJ at our venue - Gary was awesome and on the ball with our every request, and he was very patient as our guests had the best time and called it epic! We highly recommend Great Day Entertainment for any couple looking for a professional, attentive, and fun DJ to make their wedding day truly special.

Gary did an AMAZING job at our wedding!!!

Great Day Entertainment did a wonderful job at our wedding! Gary arrived early and was set up way before the reception began. His timing for the various parts of the reception was impaccable, he's obviously a pro! We would definitely recommend him!!!

Great DJ Experience

Gary was such an amazing part of our wedding day!! He was down for whatever we wanted and played such a great selection of songs that kept our guests dancing all night. There was one minor mishap with the parent dance but overall his energy and experience recovered everything! And our guests danced until the very end!! He is a great affordable DJ who made our day so wonderful!!

He's the guy you're looking for...

Gary was better than we could have ever asked for. He had questions for us to ask him we never would have thought of. Very professional but also very approachable. Especially on the day of when we were none stop running and had last minute changes. I was very happy to that the quality of his sound was fantastic, no equipment problems, no song bloops, all the things a bride fears.

An Amazing Evening!

Gary made our unconventional wedding an amazing experience! We had a small thursday night cocktail wedding that we still wanted to have dance party energy. Gary made sure to come through and provide just that for us and our guests. He listened to our vision and communicated quickly and efficiently about everything! Our guests all commented on how much fun they had at our wedding and we want to thank Gary for being a huge part of that! We would absolutely recommend Gary for any of your events.

Perfect dj!

GDE was great in helping with a last minute request with a “joke” father daughter dance song, me and my dad aren’t big dancers but i always joked we would dance to a certain song at my wedding and this dj was able to make it happen for me. He was great at filling requests and helping out keep the day going!

You won’t regret hiring Great Day Entertainment for your DJ! My husband and I hired them for our wedding on June 26th. Gary is so genuine and answers every question you may have about your big day. I always felt like I was more prepared and excited after talking to him.
One thing I love that he said to me is, “No detail is too small.” You don’t have to feel like you’re bugging him with questions. He really wants to help and make your day the best it can possibly be.

Highly Recommended DJ!

We hired Gary for our wedding and we’re highly pleased! We had a couple of meetings to go over all the details and he stayed up to date with us during the months leading up to the wedding. The BEST DJ I’ve ever seen

Gary was so easy to work with, easily accommodating with song choices (he let us send him Spotify playlists with the songs we wanted to hear)
He prepared us incredibly well in the weeks leading up to that day and walked us through everything
He was punctual the day of, and I noticed during the reception at the end of a song when people would start to walk off Gary had just the song to bring them back out
He kept the energy up and everyone was on the dance floor all night
We love Gary and, if we had to do it all over again, we’d still choose him! He’s amazing

Perfection!!!

Gary was truly everything and more in a DJ/wedding reception coordinator! He is so passionate about what he does and it truly shines in all of his work. Gary was so considerate about asking us what we liked while also telling us what works best, and because of him, EVERYONE was on the dance floor!!! Summary: You could not find a better DJ for your special day! I have only the absolute HIGHEST praise for the service we received.

Details: Gary stayed in contact often in the months leading up to our wedding, making sure no detail went unplanned or unnoticed. I am confident that he helped guide us away from potential mistakes in the way that he prompted us to consider certain details and relayed successful strategies that he has seen employed previously. On the day of our event, he was flexible with unforeseen last minute changes and helped to keep us on schedule from pre-ceremony up through the reception (including reception entrances, speeches, cake cutting, and everything in between). This ended up being an absolute luxury, as we got swept up in the emotion of the day and certainly lost track of time frequently. We never had to give time a second thought, as he kept everything on track (even helped us make up time when we fell a little behind!). I was truly impressed by his professionalism in regards to both his ability to read the crowd (ie sequencing music to match the energy/tendencies of the dance floor crowd) as well as happily incorporate requests and relay some fun-natured gags over the mic (at our request, of course). His experience shines through, as does his enjoyment of what he does. Many of our guests told us it was the most fun they've had at a wedding, and I truly attribute much of this to Gary. I urge you to trust him with your business -- you'll be glad you did! I could not give a stronger recommendation.

The perfect wedding dj!

Gary was the best wedding DJ ever! We booked Gary as our DJ for our wedding at Tremont City Side Ballroom in 2021. After our first phone call, we knew immediately that we wanted to have him DJ our wedding. He is professional, has years of experience, and is so relaxed and chill, we loved his vibe! Awesome DJ!

Gary was so awesome to work with! He was prompt to respond to all my questions prior to and on the day of everything went perfect. We had some last minute changes due to weather and absences and he was able to make all the changes last minute! He covered both our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. The dance floor was busy all night and our guests commented on how great the music was! He really helped make our special day that much better!

We hired Gary at Chagrin Valley Entertainment for our wedding on May 20- and we could not have been more pleased with his responsiveness, professionalism and overall knowledge of the industry. We asked his opinion on many things for the night, including schedule and song choices as well. Chagrin Valley Entertainment was HIGHLY recommended to us, and we set up a consultation right away! From our very first meeting, I felt like Gary was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He was very professional, genuinely cared about getting to know my now-husband and me as a couple and what our musical tastes were, and provided very helpful, honest advice for what would work and what wouldn’t. He was extremely friendly and easy to work with, very responsive to emails, and went out of his way to meet with me around my busy work schedule. Not only that, but he worked well within our relatively tight budget! On our wedding day, there was the biggest flash flood of the year. From the beginning of the day, we were getting calls about our wedding possibly being cut short or even cancelled. Despite this, remained very professional and calm. He was there very early to set up, worked quickly with the venue and coordinator to move our ceremony setup indoors, and made sure we had everything we needed for our indoor ceremony to be just as wonderful – if not better! – than our planned outdoor one. Throughout the night, we were told on multiple occasions by our venue that, because of the flooding, we’d need to cut our night short by three hours (around 7:30 p.m.). However, Gary worked with the coordinator and venue to help extend our wedding until 10 p.m. Despite the monsoon and small guest count, our dance floor stayed packed the entire night. We were told by several other wedding vendors that they’d never seen a dance floor stay as energetic and packed as ours. And it was all because of Chagrin Valley Entertainment!!! Not only did he play most of our requested songs, his timing was perfect. He observed the energy of our guests, and from there determined which songs would work best. I can’t say enough great things about Chagrin Valley Entertainment. Gary went above and beyond to make our day extra special. We are so glad we chose him as our DJ!!! He's the best!

Our wedding location was unique, my husband was moving to Toronto (my hometown) so we wanted to celebrate our marriage in his hometown (Vermilion, OH). This way his family and friends could easily attend!

This would make the ceremony, day and reception very special, but the wedding planning from another city would be difficult.

Insert Heidzillas, the wedding planning company that put everything together for us AND RECOMMENDED GARY WENNER as our DJ.

We hired him after one phone conversation (which sealed the deal right away, his genuine interest on making the day about the couple and the guests came through).

What we didn't know is that he also has a classy, vintage and epic repertoire of songs that went right with our theme. We had emailed him a couple of ideas of 'songs through the century' and not only had he heard of the obscure ones, but he also loved them!

We finally got to meet Gary one week before the wedding..was it a huge risk to not have ever have met him and know the day was coming so soon? SUPER YES. DID WE FEEL THAT HE HAD EVERYTHING IN CONTROL, we ware in awesome hands? YES!!!! At the meeting he expressed his musical ideas for the reception (again right with our line of thinking), his high standards/level of class (believing there are songs not appropriate for weddings) and even added some extras (asking for 'one liners' about the wedding party to add some 'spice' to the party's entrance).

Gary even took the time to come to our reception and go through everything the night before (even though there was a threat of rain- he even took his equipment).

The night went by swimmingly; I've never seen so many smiles on our friends and family's faces and HONESTLY never seen so many people EAGER to dance..there was no dragging of people on to the dance floor-they were running TO the dance floor!

Thank you Gary for making our day EVEN THAT MORE SPECIAL!

Working with Gary through Chagrin Valley Entertainment was a wonderful experience! Everything from our initial meeting to the big day was a great experience. Gary took our wedding reception in his hands and made sure everything ran smoothly letting us relax and enjoy our big day completely stress free! Gary went out of his way to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted and more. He was not only the dj at our reception but also was the leader of the party & perfect task manager. Though I have never been married before until now, I had attended many weddings and though the music was always good, the Djs appeared to be boring. I love how Gary took side notes of each person in our wedding party and let our guests who may not have known any of them otherwise, feel like they knew them and why they were about of our special day. The music was good, the atmosphere remained fun, and I feel a DJ is what makes the reception perfect, and it truly was!

I enjoyed working with Chagrin Valley Entertainment and I would hire them for another event in the future. They were professional, personable and truly understood what I was looking for. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a DJ who will make their day special!

I contacted this business in request of a DJ and although the initial contact was unavailable, he set me up with one of the other DJ's that work for the company. (Gary Jansurak). The DJ was fabulous! He was extremely organized and willing to help with anything needed. The price was the best around!

Great Day to have a DJ

He did his job but we were left with a little bit of concern at the end of the day. In the meetings, Gary seemed fun and light hearted and would bring the vibe to the function. Day of, he seemed to lack that same energy. We also were told people could make requests by him, but a lot of requests seemed to be denied. We also had issues of him being rude and stand offish to our party/guests, and we were told this by multiple accounts. If you need a DJ that does his job and does it well, then Gary is your guy. He can read the room and play songs that bring people back. But keep in mind these other factors.

Do not recommend

I do not recommend this DJ. For starters, the evening felt very rushed. The bride was looking to go get her Shaw from her suite (because it was cold out) and he proceeded to walk up to her and state that “no, we need to get this show on the road”. He kept stating that we need to keep things moving when the couple was mingling with guest. Mind you, it was BARELY 7pm at this point and people were still eating. His sound system didn’t sound great and it was incredibly hard to hear him at anytime, no one could understand the speeches. While I understand it was cold outside, all he wore to the wedding was a Home Depot zip up. The wedding attire was cocktail, could have at least looked a bit nicer. Then he was released from the wedding early due to an unforeseen emergency that happened and while he was leaving, he told the bar to leave as well. Which then started a huge argument amongst the couple and family. Please save your money and look elsewhere for a DJ!

Title of the bride that paid for this service rendered

Everything was rushed we had limited time to talk about the bride and groom he didn’t play any slow songs he ended up leaving an hour and a half early. He also told the bar to shut it down which he had no power to do very rude. I would never recommend him for any DJing miserable personality, and he pretended he was running the show when it was the bride and groom day.
