This wedding planner loves Chad and Gretchen!

As a wedding planner, I've worked with a lot of DJs and photo booth operators. The dynamic duo of Chad and Gretchen are hard to beat. While both are excellent on their own, I highly recommend hiring both (Chad as DJ, Gretchen as photo booth). They bring a positive, generous energy to any event they work -- not to mention loads of professional expertise and equipment!

I cannot recommend Chad enough! I’ve had the pleasure of working with him both vendor-to-vendor and as a client, and he delivers 100% every single time. Chad is incredibly fun, reads the crowd perfectly, and is a natural EMCEE. It’s rare to find someone who can seamlessly balance both DJ and EMCEE roles—but Chad is that guy.

He’s a planner’s dream and often a bride’s favorite vendor. His planning software is user-friendly and makes it easy (and enjoyable!) to build your custom playlist and see exactly what will be played. You choose the vibe, and Chad brings it to life with unmatched professionalism.

On top of all that, he’s very reasonably priced for the level of service and experience he offers. Truly one of the best in the industry!

A magnificent night. Chad and Gretchen were perfect

We hired Chad and Gretchen for our 25th anniversary party. Communication was easy. Chad was flexible even with last minute changes. Music selection was right on point. Sound and mics worked smoothly and we got amazing pictures from the photo booth. Everyone had a great time.

25th Anniversary Dance Party

We only had one criterion for a DJ: someone who could take a room full of people from all over the country who don't know each other (including shy personalities and introverts) and create a fantastic dance party. We told our venue coordinator and she recommended Chad without hesitation. It was not just the best party we've ever hosted; it was the BEST party we've ever been to. We had numerous guests reach out afterward and tell us that was the most fun party they had ever attended. It was magical. Chad was professional, responsive, helpful, informative, courteous, and encouraging. The program included dinner, speeches, games, musical numbers, special dances, dance lessons, and dancing. Chad kept the whole program on track. Three months later we still talk about how that was the most fun night of our lives. Maybe we'll have to throw a 26th Anniversary party? If we do, we'll know which DJ to book!

Highly recommend!

My husband was the last of his three siblings to get married and all three of them have had Chad as their wedding DJ going back ten years! After working with him for our wedding it is clear why. He is a true professional who clearly loves what he does. He made our night so fun. He was great as an MC as well as DJ during the dancing. I highly recommend using Chad Dowling Productions.

Best DJ and Photo Booth Team You Could Ask For!

Chad and Gretchen are an absolute delight, and one amazing team! We were lucky enough to have them DJ and Photo Booth for our wedding, and they were a complete hit all around. Not only did they keep the energy and fun factor at a constant high during the reception, but they were also soooo instrumental in keeping our wedding running smoothly, and on time. This was a huge weight off our shoulders, so we were able to just be in the moment and enjoy the day. You could not ask for 2 more professional and fun people to work with. They made the entire experience all the more memorable, and for that we are eternally grateful.

11/10 Amazing DJ. Chad and Gretchen are the Best in the Business

When planning our wedding, we knew we wanted the music to be epic! Music is so important to my now husband Ryan and me. We wanted a packed dance floor, but we also wanted to incorporate our Jewish culture and even play some of our psych-rock faves, plus the odd request from our parents. It was a tall request! Chad handled it like a champ and created a playlist that checked our boxes and got everyone on the dance floor!

When working with Chad, it's apparent that he had an enormous knowledge of music and DJing, as well as the intricacies of events and hosting. He had so many great suggestions and understood what we wanted and more! He even incorporated our weird sense of humor into our playlist. For example, we mentioned in our wedding vows a joke about rickrolling, and he added Never Gonna Give You Up to our playlist! It was amazing!

At the last minute, we found out that our venue would be less involved in the day of coordination than we had previously thought. We had recruited some cousins to help, but when we told Chad and his wife/superstar partner in crime, Gretchen, about it, Gretchen stepped up to the plate without missing a beat. She coordinated our processional and the entrance to our reception. It was amazing! It meant so much to us that Chad and Gretchen would go above and beyond to ensure our wedding was perfect.

11/10, we would hire them again. We have nothing but the best things to say about Chad and Gretchen. We know they'll do everything possible to make your event extraordinary and customized to your taste.

LIT Party!

DJ Chad was simply the best wedding DJ we could ever hoped for. In fact, he exceeded our expectations. He was quick to respond to all our questions, played all our music and had a fun and vibrant personality. The icing on the cake was his incredible DJ booth, complete with a camera and TV screen. This feature allowed us to play a video recording of our distant family before our first dance. Our party was a huge hit, thank to him and Gretchen!

Incredible DJ & MC!

Chad and his wife Gretchen were an absolute pleasure to work with. Chad uses an app where you can customize the music as much as you'd like (you can upload whole playlists from Spotify!) There were some sections I didn't have a preference for music so we trusted Chad to do his thing. Chad is super responsive, organized, and a lot of fun! He kept the party going for the entire duration of the evening. Chad and Gretchen arrived to the venue early with plenty of time to set up and get things going before guests arrived. You can definitely tell Chad is passionate about what he does. We are about 3 weeks post wedding and people are still reaching out to us about how much fun they had! Look no further for your DJ & MC needs - Chad is your guy!

The Best DJ you can hire

tl;dr Chad is absolutely the best DJ you can hire for your wedding; if you have the opportunity to book him, you absolutely should!!

Our wedding planning was long and stressful. There were so many moments where we wondered if anything would connect and if everything was worth our effort.

All of those thoughts went to rest once we spoke with Chad and Gretchen.

Their knowledge and experience put us at ease as we knew we had the perfect host for our wedding.

We filled out a detailed form regarding music selections and smaller details about wedding procedure, and once the wedding day came everything played out as intended.

There will always be delays during the wedding day itself, but Chad kept the party going, inserted songs seamlessly to our playlist, and so many guests have told us personally how the DJ is so good. Chad even worked with us to facilitate a more intricate part of our wedding dance, and his light up DJ booth and lights kept the ambiance going all night long!

Chad and Gretchen are perfect hosts, and they are good people. If you are on the fence about which DJ to choose for your wedding, you will not have any regrets with them by your side. If they are available for your wedding date, book them 1000%!!

Chad and Gretchen helped to make our dream wedding a reality!!!

Stop shopping around: Chad and Gretchen are amazing!!

First of all, both Chad and Gretchen are simply kind and people we'd highly recommend you hire at any party. They bring great energy and excitement, and clearly enjoy what they do, making it fun all around. Chad DJ'd and MC'd at our wedding throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception until the end of the night. He's great at what he does and has an awesome set up. Gretchen helped assisted throughout, providing cool smoke all over the dance floor during our first dance and was key to staying in sync with our onsite event coordinator and wedding party for the entrance in particular. Stop looking around and work with Chad and Gretchen for your wedding or party!

We had a great experience working with Chad and Gretchen as our DJ and photo booth!! The guests all had the absolute best time dancing and loved the photo booth. They were both incredibly accommodating to our needs and made our day truly special. Would definitely recommend!

Got the party started & kept it going til the cops shut it down!

As mother of the bride my only request was that the music at the reception had to be amazing. I have attended a lot of wedding receptions & it was my opinion that bands were better than DJ's. DJ Chad changed my mind. The dance floor was packed for 3 hours straight! Even the grandparents kept dancing. The light towers added an extra pop and the photo booth was a huge hit with a fun array of props. Chad and Gretchen were professional and enthusiastic throughout the whole process. He kept his focus on the couple and kept the energy of the crowd exhuberant all night - so much so that the cops came and shut it down!

So much fun!!

Chad was the DJ at our wedding this past weekend and we received SO much positive feedback on him from our guests! He is very personable and professional, and his positive energy is contagious. While all of our vendors were wonderful, we especially looked forward to our interactions with Chad because he reminded us what a fun day it was going to be - and that's exactly what it turned out to be! We shared our music tastes with Chad in advance and he honored our vibe throughout the reception. He knew how to read the room and played the right songs at the right moments. We had guests of all ages and backgrounds on the dancefloor until the very end of night.
Gretchen, Chad's partner who was in charge of lighting and running the photo booth at our wedding, was also a wonderful person to work with leading up to our big day! So energetic, informative, and easy to communicate with. The night wouldn't have been the same without her. If you're questioning whether you need the up lights or photobooth -- GET THEM! They gave our reception a really fun extra oomph :)

The BEST Wedding DJ!

From the moment we met Chad, we felt so comfortable around him. He was beyond accommodating with our plans as we worked around the pandemic and reschedules. Chad is professional and reached out to us multiple times during the planning process to check in. He is has an incredible personality that shines when he is interacting with guest. Chad is phenomenal in every way!

Chad is AWESOME!!! From the moment we reached out and scheduled our meet-and-greet, Chad was exceptionally fantastic to work with! He uses a really cool app that allowed us to add all the details of each moment of our wedding day to a timeline, including the music, which made things seamless and simple. Once we finished adding our details, Chad took care of literally everything else! He is so thoughtful, professional, detailed, and such a blast to work with.

On our wedding day, Chad was absolute perfection. He arrived super early to connect with our coordinator and make sure everything was in place and exactly how we wanted it in terms of locations he'd be setup throughout the evening, etc. We didn't have to worry about a thing that day, knowing we were in such good hands with Chad as our DJ. He did an incredible job with everything, going above and beyond for us. He helped emcee throughout the evening, graciously guiding our guests on where to go, what was happening next, etc. And the dance party part of the evening was amazing!!! He got all of our guests to get up and dance the night away the whole evening!! Several guests commented after on how amazing he is. We HIGHLY recommend that you hire Chad!! You won't regret it :)

A rocking good time!!

Chad Dowling was recommended to me from my wedding officiant (they had worked weddings together before) and I was told some pretty awesome things about him. However, I was blown away by his knowledge, professionalism, and up-beat personality. He did such a perfect job at our wedding - he didn’t miss a beat, kept the party going, and was absolutely fabulous at being our MC. My spouse and I couldn’t be more happy with his work and we recommend him to everyone we know. Chad’s wife, Gretchen, did our PhotoBooth as well and it was so worth the extra $! Both Chad and Gretchen went above and beyond and gave us the perfect day.

Chad brings the party!

From start to finish, Chad was a complete JOY to work with. He is professional, passionate, enthusiastic, responsive, and truly cared about getting to know us as a couple. At every turn, he offered suggestions/recommendations for ways we could make the day more special for us - even going so far as bringing his own boom box so we could have an official 'grand exit' with the song we really wanted (one of the highlights from our wedding).

Of all the vendors we had for our wedding, we received the most compliments about Chad. He brought so much energy to the entire day, had amazing song selections, and was completely organized.

I cannot sing his praises enough and truly do not have a single negative thing to say about his work from start to finish. Chad, THANK YOU for everything you did to make this day so special! You are so talented at what you do!

Highly recommend, no regrets, awesome DJ

My wedding was canceled last year and Chad was understanding and flexible to be available this year. He made it stress free for us. Chad Dowling was really fun to work with, always with good energy and we also loved Gretchen. She did awesome with the photo booth, both were a pleasure to work with. Chad was very patient with me and helped us with any ideas with what songs to use. If I would ever need a DJ again, I would totally hire him again.

3/21/20 - 3/6/21 COVID Wedding

Right off the bat Chad and Gretchen were amazing to work with. We had scheduled our wedding for 3/21/2020 and then COVID hit and we had to reschedule... twice. Each time they were extremely helpful and flexible with the changes. In the end we ended up canceling our wedding altogether and they were understanding and comforting to us at that time. Leading up to the event in 2020 they were the best hype crew to have around. The music and events we had planned were going to be a blast while checking the boxes for both traditional and unique. They understood our humor and matched our playfulness, but also kept it very sophisticated and tasteful.

Chad is incredible!

We hired Chad after a co-worker recommended him (he was the DJ for their daughter's wedding). Chad was absolutely incredible every step of the way from first contact to post-wedding. He was amazingly flexible (3 outdoor set-ups at our wedding: ceremony, cocktail hour, reception). And when our ceremony started an hour late, he made the right choices when our reception / dancing time was shortened. He did an excellent job in 'reading the audience' and got everyone dancing the whole night. I can not express enough thanks to him for being a superb emcee and DJ. Planning weddings can be complicated and stressful...Chad made it simple and stress-free... he was an integral part of a memorable night!

Professional and fun DJ

Chad made the process very easy - he had all the music we wanted (even arabic songs). He uses an app to help you pick the songs you want for each moment of the day and if you don't know what to pick he will help you decide. He was very professional and fun. We danced till we couldn't!

Best Decision!

This is the wedding dream team! Chad kept the dance floor hoping all night and Gretchen had everyone laughing at the photo booth. Both were so easy to work with and stress free. Our guests had the best time and so did we!

Everything we wanted!!

Chad has a new name in our family. “Chad the amazing DJ” From the first meeting to the exceptional play list for the wedding ceremony, the cocktail hour, dinner AND DANCING he was the perfect choice for us. The flow of announcements; following our timeline and keeping us on schedule so we could fit every detail in and have the guests know what was happening each step of the night was fabulous. He rocked it for the whole event. His voice is fun and caring, his fun surprise party tube lights were a hit with the guests on the dance floor! He checked every box to make the night magical for our daughter and her husband. We were so happy we found Chad!!

Chad is THE wedding DJ. He and his wife Gretchen are your wedding dream team. They have years of experience and do everything they can to ensure your wedding runs smoothly.

You don’t realize how crucial your DJ is until the day of your wedding. This is the person who sets the tone for your entire event. Your DJ announces everything (first dance, dinner, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc.) and investing in seasoned professionals like Chad & Gretchen are a must!

Aside from music, Chad and Gretchen also offer up-lighting services, games, and a photobooth. For our wedding we opted for up-lighting and their photobooth. We honestly couldn’t have been happier. The photobooth was a huge hit with our guests and it’s run separately by Gretchen. Post wedding Gretchen sends you a complete album with all photos and even digital, high resolution copies. It was truly an unplanned and amazing guestbook we didn’t even know we were getting.

Overall Chad & Gretchen aim to create a ‘one stop shop’ and they hit it right on the mark. You will not regret booking this DREAM TEAM for your big day!

Chad was fantastic every step of the way as our wedding DJ. He answered every question we had at our first meeting, then answered all the questions we didn’t previously know we had during our second meeting and he was always available for us throughout the entire process.

Selecting the music we wanted to hear was a breeze – and actually quite a bit of fun. Chad also offered up recommendations that fit us and our desired vibe perfectly.

As for the main event – Chad just flat out delivered. The music was all perfect, wonderfully timed and everything he did fit together beautifully. The dance floor stayed busy all night with people of all ages.

We received many compliments about the music and Chad. We couldn’t be happier with everything he did for our wedding and we wouldn’t hesitate to give him our most sincere recommendation.

We can't say enough good things about Chad! We met with him beforehand to discuss everything we hoped for and he more than exceeded our expectations. All we wanted was a good dance floor and it was so packed, all of our guests were out there and didn't want to leave. A huge thanks to Chad for creating such a party for us!

Chad was awesome and so easy to work with. We've heard stories from friends about the DJs they used not going with the plan. So naturally we were concerned. Working with Chad, there was absolutely NO need to worry. Super professional and responsive. He played everything we wanted to hear and didn't play all the things we didn't want to hear. He kept the energy going the entire day. He really does just operate on another level compared to other DJs. He's awesome and if you're wondering who to go with, go with Chad Dowling.

We used Chad Dowling Productions for both DJ and Photo Booth at our wedding, and it was the best decision that we made!! Chad was so amazing to work with on the DJ side. He listened to our ideas, worked with us on timeline, and helped put together the perfect dance party for our wedding!

Gretchen handles the photobooth, and she is a dream to work with!! She put together such a perfect theme for the booth. Between the customized photos for our guests to take home, to props that perfectly fit our personalities and wedding theme, I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Chad and Gretchen truly care about the couples they work with. They want your wedding to feel like the perfect night! It was so nice to have people on our team that cared so much about us and our guests. 5 Stars all day (unless there is an option for more)!!

Chad did a great job at our wedding. We weren't the easiest couple to work with -- my family needed to include some international hard-to-find music, and he worked with me to find it and incorporate it into the plan for the evening. He also worked with me to design a non-traditional timeline, and was very flexible when at the last minute we added a video screen/projection rental and threw a video showing into the mix. More importantly, he played all the music we requested in an order that kept the room engaged and moving. Everybody raved about how much fun the dancing -- and the wedding as a whole -- was. Plus, he's such a fun and kind and relaxed guy! Everything about our experience with him was wonderful.

From the moment we met Chad we knew we were in excellent hands for our daughter's wedding. He was organized, helped us get our plans organized, and stayed in touch throughout the process. The music was fantastic, and Chad is the best Master of Ceremonies you could hope for. Even your non-dancers will be out on the floor having the time of their life. We also had Dowling Productions do the photo booth, and I highly recommend that addition. Gretchen is also a delight to work with, and her props were the best we have ever seen. It set the tone for fun and good times for everyone, and oh the memories we have now thanks to both of them. All our guests said our wedding was the most fun wedding they had ever attended, that's a tall order. You simply cannot find a better pair!

Chad and Gretchen made our day SO AMAZING and so much fun!! Our guests and ourselves had an absolute blast on the dance floor! Chad really knows how to get everyone up and moving, and he has such a fun personality that people really respond to! We wish we could have danced all night! Our music was absolutely perfect, and we loved hearing all of the songs we had requested! Chad is so professional and flexible! He really makes sure you are happy with every single detail! We also had Chad bring uplights for our reception, and they were perfect! Gretchen and a partner ran the photobooth and it was AMAZING to say the least!! It was a huge hit with our guests, and everyone is still talking about it! Gretchen put together an incredible memory book for us that we will forever cherish. Chad is amazing to work with, very organized and responsive and so much fun. His enthusiasm for entertainment is apparent and he really took our ideas and made them shine. With lots of fun little extras and flourishes he and Gretchen made the party. We got a ton of compliments from our guests on everything - lighting, music, photobooth, and general fun. Instead of a bouquet toss we did the "shoe game" and Chad was a great host, everyone loved it. Kids and adults both enjoyed the video games (rock band and just dance). The area was very safe and we enjoyed walking along Via Toledo to the many excellent restaurants and shops. Trying to think of another reason to throw a big party in order to work with Chad again :-)

We had a blast having Chad DJ our wedding! He is a fun guy to talk to and was amazing meeting with us before hand to plan it out. He got most of our invited guests out on the dance floor dancing at the reception. He has a lot of options when it comes to multiple setups, lighting and photo booth options. He is also very responsive to any email and question you may have. You can't go wrong with Chad, he is truly a great guy and knows how to make a night special/fun.

Jim Wilcox was super cool and fun for our wedding. He kept the dance floor full. He was able to provide sound and mic for our wedding ceremony and reception. The online song wish list was easy and convenient to use. We would recommend using Chad Dowling and Co for music at special events.

Seeing that it has almost been a year since my wedding I figured this was the perfect time to reflect back on the day... There are many things that bring a smile to my face when I think about our wedding day and one of them is Chad. Chad and I have a pretty amazing friendship even before I got married so I knew he had to be part of the festivities for our wedding day. His personality had already sold me so the key was making sure my now husband loved him as much as I do. On our first meeting the three of us met at a pub and chatted about Star Wars, life, and the wedding. It was all so natural and my husband instantly fell in love with him. I knew he was going to bring a great party atmosphere to our wedding day but he exceed all of my expectations! He read our crowd SO well. He knew how to make my salsa dancing dad uber happy and played just enough Michael Jackson for me to show off my dancing skills. He even brought some fun surprises to the wedding day that we or our guests will NEVER forget. He truly made our wedding not only special for the two of us but for all our out of town guests. There is no doubt about it, Chad absolutely LOVES to do what he does and you can tell. We recommend Chad to every single person we know that is getting married. He is the absolute best. Chad and Gretchen are amazing at what they do! Everyone had a blast at our wedding and it was mostly due to our amazing DJ. I went to the Portland Bridal Show before my wedding and a different DJ asked me who I booked, when I said Chad he gave me a high five and said I couldn't do better.... boy was he right. Chad is absolutely wonderful to work with! He is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that everything is exactly how you want it to be for your special day and he never makes you feel pressured. My Fiance and I weren't even planning on having a DJ at our wedding but after we met Chad and got to see him DJ our friends wedding this summer we knew we had to have him. He is full of energy and really knows how to get the crowd going to make sure that everyone is having a great time. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances with one of our family members health, my fiance and I had to change our wedding plans and downsize it a considerable amount. Because of this, we no longer have the space/need for a DJ but I can't say enough how great and flexible Chad has been with us and I would highly recommend him to anyone!! I've been an ordained minister for a couple of years now and have performed 7 wedding ceremonies for my friends along with attending many others and I have to say that Chad is hands down the best DJ I've ever seen! If you're looking for a fun, friendly, caring and professional DJ for your wedding then Chad is definitely your guy!

We had the pleasure of working with Chad over the last few months to put together the music for a wedding. From the first meeting you can tell that Chad is very passionate about his work, which is always the first sign that you've found someone good. He knows weddings and has the perfect blend of direction and flexibility that made him the perfect fit for my wife and I. We struggled to find the right songs for each part of the wedding, but he was able to provide suggestions (some of which we took, some of which we didn't) that guided us to creating the wedding playlist we wanted.

We ended up leaving many decisions in his hands and he worked beautifully, working with the crowd to keep the party going late into the night. While his services were superb, more than anything Chad's personality is the main selling point. He is very easy to work with and very easy to trust, and that trust is not misplaced in the least. You can't go wrong with Chad, and he was well worth the price.

Chad was awesome! He played all of our requests, has a great voice that makes reception transitions seamless, and is a lot of fun as well as professional! He designs his set lists to meet the needs of your wedding. We said we wanted 80s music with a mix of 90s dance hits and Justin Timberlake esque dance music as well as big band-New York style music for our dinner portion and cocktail hour (very different genres). He was able to design a set list that fit this perfectly, created smooth transitions, and got our guests dancing and having fun. I would highly recommend him for your wedding.

I provided Chad with very little direction, and basically just said "please make this work." After our wedding, I told my new husband: "that guy was the best wedding vendor pick that we made."

We had Chad do our reception only. It was over 100 degrees at our outdoor venue, and no one felt like moving (let alone dancing), so we were a tough crowd to get out on the dance floor. However, Chad's energy and enthusiasm eventually had us rockin' out for the duration.

My favorite wedding moment was the music he picked for our entrance. It truly felt like a movie moment - holding hands with the love of your life, everyone cheering - you need the perfect soundtrack! Chad can do it for you!! Highly recommended.

Chad Dowling provided music for our outdoor wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception! We were able to chose the songs we wanted for every special moment that day. We met with him a couple times prior to the wedding and let him know the type of music we like and the songs we didn't care for. On our wedding day he took our requests and feedback about music choices and played the best songs. The reception was so fun, no one could help but dance since the music just made you want to move. We hired Chad to be our DJ at our wedding, and also to provide the ceremony/cocktail hour music, act as MC throughout the nights festivities, and even provide a photo booth which was a huge hit. Hire Chad if you want to have a great time! He is such a blast to be around! I can't stop laughing when I'm around him. He made the stressful times so much fun. This guy has so much energy it's no wonder he's a great DJ. We forgot to tell him what song we wanted walking down the 'aisle' (mostly because we were slacking a little and never made a decision) so he played a song that was EXACTLY us! Our wedding planner said he had a surprise for our song and I completely trusted him. The choices and suggestions he made were always spot on. Because of this, I trusted any musical decision he made. We also rented the photo booth from him. Everyone loved it! We had kids at our wedding and they couldn't get enough...okay, let's get real, the adults couldn't contain themselves either. Chad did an incredible job at our wedding. He was able to seamlessly incorporate our eclectic musical tastes with traditional wedding songs, while maintaining the atmosphere for the wedding we wanted. He perfectly managed requests, created 15 second intro clips for our bridal party, and knew exactly when to be vocal (shout-outs for specific songs, gathering people for group photos) and non-vocal (letting the music dictate the celebration). We could not have had the perfect wedding without Chad’s help and we hands-down recommend Chad for any wedding.

Reading through the previous reviews it should be absolutely no question that you should hire Chad for your wedding...My wife and I were married 2 weeks ago in Oregon and Chad is an absolute professional when it comes to his job.
We live in Southern California and definitely had our 'stresses' leading up to the event...but having Chad in charge of the music was one we did not.
We cannot stress enough how much the music of your wedding ties it all together and keeps the flow of the whole thing moving.
We had Chad do our ceremony as well as our reception and absolutely everything was on point...we had some specific music we wanted played both at the ceremony and reception and Chad, without a doubt, nailed it. It was really nice to sit at the reception and hear our music requested being played in the background.
These reviews are written by people that have 'lived' the event and clearly Chad is very good at what he does. We urge you to not mess around when it comes to the 'soundtrack' of your wedding and let Chad take the reigns.
We are both so pleased that we chose Chad Dowling to be our DJ.
If we are to ever have any other event that requires a DJ or friends in the North West that are getting married, Chad will be the first person we call.

Chad did an outstanding job at our wedding. As the person who really controls the tempo and timing for the event, he did a great job listening to our worries and working through those issues with us. We would absolutely recommend Chad to anyone. He is friendly, flexible and really wants to do right by the customer.

Chad is the most wonderful DJ. We spent a little time communicating our ideas from out of town (we live in CA) and had some very specific music requests for the ceremony- he nailed it! A fun surprise was when he played our college fight song during speeches from college friends that beckoned it. He directed our guests from ceremony to reception to buffet lines and cake cutting, flower and garter tosses flawlessly all day long and then got people out on the dance floor, experimenting with current music and even taking some fun requests. When the party timeline was about to end, but the dancing was still going strong, we were given the opportunity to extend the evening and took it! Everything was behind the scenes- our guests could still enjoy the night without any interruption. It was a perfect day and Chad played a huge role in that success. He even sent us off with some Hawaiian tunes (honeymoon spot) as we made our exit. Highly recommend him- he is an experienced professional, but keeps things light and fun.

We were very unprepared for many elements leading up to our wedding, including planning music and the orchestration of our event. Thank goodness for Chad! He was prepared for every little element that we hadn't thought of in advance, and he was very flexible on the day-of, including handling a last-minute curve ball with ease! Chad is a wonderful guy, and a true professional. Highly recommended!

I would definitely recommend DJ Chad to be used at any special event, especially a wedding. We had so many compliments on the music and he had everyone dancing after dinner. He was very professional and made sure everyone was having fun.

Many people don’t realize how important their DJ is to their wedding. Your DJ is essentially the voice, timing, flow and mood of your whole wedding. My husband and I chose Chad for our wedding DJ and we absolutely couldn’t be happier with our decision. We had a very diverse group of people at our wedding – from east coasters to west coasters and stilettos to cowboy boots and Chad put together the absolutely amazing composition of music that was perfect to who my husband and I are, the setting of our wedding and the guests we had. He kept the pace going perfectly, kept people busy while we took a few extra pictures, and somehow even got my grandparents up on the dance floor. Throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding he was so responsive, supportive and accommodating. By the time we sat down and met with him to go over music selections we were so exhausted and tired of making decisions but his genuine enthusiasm is contagious and he was able to re-energize us and get us excited again as we went into the home stretch of getting ready for the big day. At the wedding he made everything go off without a hitch. The ceremony was perfectly done, the transition to the reception was seamless and the rest of the night was flawless. We got so many comments and compliments on how professional and entertaining he was, how great the music selection was and how nice the timing and flow was. All of our vendors loved working with him as well. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to use Chad and would recommend him in a heartbeat!

If you are looking for an AMAZING DJ definitely go with Chad Dowling! He did a great job and our guests are still raving about how much fun they had at the reception because of him. He played the music we wanted and interacted with the crowd all night. He is very organized and made sure the reception ran smoothly. He was a big help in making our day special!

Wow!! We were so fortunate to have Chad as our DJ at our wedding!! He is so AMAZING!! Chad was referred to us by a dear friend. The moment we met him, we knew he was the ONE!! We happened to LOVE the same style of music and he was as excited as we were for our wedding. Putting a playlist together with him was so easy and FUN!! Chad was our DJ for our wedding on Aug. 18th 2012, and he was AWESOME!
He was very professional and easy to work with. He made our whole day flow so smoothly. He not only played all of the music for the ceremony, reception, and dancing, but he also kept us on schedule by making announcements when needed.
He provides all of his own equipment, and the sound quality is amazing! He was friendly and always prompt to respond when I had any questions through the planning process.
He was reasonably priced as well, which helped with our budget!
I would highly recommend Chad to friends, or anyone looking for an awesome DJ!

I had the most amazing night on July 14th for our wedding, and Chad Dowling was a big factor in this. He played such a variety of music exactly like i requested, and even better than I had expected, he instantly became comfortable with the crowd, and everyone had such a good time. My wedding was such a diverse crowd and I was so shocked he was able to please everyone with all the different types of music. I was so pleased, and I recommend him to anyone. He was one of the best DJ's I have heard in a while, and when I plan another party he is definatly the first person I am calling.

Chad was wonderful!!! We are both originally from the Portland area and wanted to get married back home, but live in Reno NV we only met Chad in person 2 times before the wedding but he really made sure he got to know our personalities to make our wedding fun. I had so many people come up to me that night just to tell me that our DJ was great and made our reception a party. Chad is professional and FUN! At the end of the night my new husband said to me I'm kind of bummed we wont get to see Chad anymore I would highly recommend him to anyone, I was stressed out by a lot of things with my wedding worried about the food or centerpieces not one time did I worry about Chad I knew he would do an amazing job and he did I can't thank him enough :)

Chad was very professional and flexible. Our schedule was such that there was not a lot of time to plan music selections before the wedding. After meeting with Chad and getting our feedback, he was able to read the wishes of the bride & groom and provided a wonderful evening of music and fun times. Chad was an excellent moderator during the reception, doing the wedding party introductions with flair and coordinating announcements throughout the evening. Chad Dowling came highly recommended by our wedding planner, Nora Sheils. He is well known as one of the best wedding DJs in the area and the title is well-deserved. We only had one meeting with Chad and after listening to us for a few minutes, was able to "get" our style and music preference immediately. Chad's equipment produced great sound quality and he was right on queue with all our music choices. We left the reception music up to him and our guests were dancing it up with smiles on their faces well into the evening. Great value and highly recommended!

Chad was a phenomenal DJ! Chad is so good at what he does that when the best man gave a speech at our wedding, he decided to throw in a couple sound effects and everyone thought it was part of the speech and had been rehearsed. He did the music for our ceremony as well as the reception. He did a movie trivia game to release our guests to the buffet, which many of our guests thought was pretty creative. Chad has a great personality and he helped make our wedding a truly amazing event. Our guests loved his choice of music because it kept the energy flowing throughout the evening.

Chad was awesome! I have recommended him to all of my friends who are getting married and they are using him too. Even a local wedding magazine named him best DJ in Portland 2 years ago. Tip: If your wedding is in the off-season, prices are lower. Otherwise, he is worth every penny. Not an annoying DJ, friendly and fun. I love how you can chose music right on his website.

Chad is incredible at what he does. He was on top of everything, communicated beautifully, was a gem to work with and was flexible. When our ceremony we decided to wrap up with early, he segued everything perfectly. He and the venue were a great team and he knew the venue well enough that he let himself in. When I asked for input, he always had great advice. I couldn't recommend Chad enough.

Chad was outstanding! From the initial consultation, we felt very much at ease with him. After a few other interviews with other DJs, we selected him due to his welcoming and sincere personality.

The online payment + song request system made everything very easy. After picking several "must play" and "please play" songs, Chad was able to fill in the rest of the evening with a wonderful selection of like-themed music. I enjoyed it so much I asked him for the full playlist afterwards! Our venue had a separate outdoor section for the ceremony and an indoor area for the reception/dance. Chad was able to provide excellent sound for each section. He was also able to provide a DVD player and sound for our slideshow which went flawlessly.

My bride was particularly thrilled with Chad's "radio/MC" voice, which made our introductions, toasts, and announcements come alive for her. His services may be just a little more expensive than others we found, but the professionalism for an event such as this is well worth it.

Chad was the DJ at our wedding. We had a very small budget and hesitated 'splurging' on evening having a DJ. We are SO GLAD we did! From the moment we contacted Chad, the initial meeting, all the planning, days leading up to our wedding and actual reception - Chad had GOLD STAR customer service, he was easy to work with, really flexible, very attentive and honestly, a super nice person. Our wedding coordinator suggested Chad Dowling - our wedding was Persian and we needed to have someone that could play Persian music. Chad was booked so Jim was our DJ. He was super laid back and great to work with. The ceremony music went off without a hitch. Overall he was great.

We hired Chad as our DJ through our wedding planner and we were not disappointed at all! The online system they have is very easy to use for picking songs for events throughout your wedding reception. Chad did a great job getting everyone out on the dance floor all night long. A few guests also commented on the lights he had which was really fun for late night dancing. His transitions and filler songs were good and overall we were very pleased with Chad as our DJ. He also was willing to take song requests from various guests at the wedding.
