I was digging through a lot of officiants and Terri Jo caught my eye towards the end of the list (The Knot). The universe urged me to contact her like it was meant to be. I loved how she did a chemistry call with us first, to make sure we vibed. She has a passion for literature and that showed. We loved how she took the lead. She wrote/developed the entire ceremony (unique to us) and coordinated with our other vendors on the big day - it was a seamless experience! During the ceremony, she kept all our guests engaged, interested, and laughing. We, the bride and groom, felt very relaxed at the alter. Even now, guests are quoting back to me their favorite parts of the ceremony. I'm guilty of spacing out during wedding ceremonies I've attended, so I'm impressed that our guests enjoyed it and remember vividly!!Ceremonies By Terri Jo's reply:

Terri Jo was wonderful to work with as the officiant for our wedding. Our ceremony was beautiful and Terri Jo wrote an amazing script that felt personal to us. I felt that she did a good job getting to know us through our meetings, both as a couple and as individuals during the zoom sessions. I am not a very good writer, so the worksheets that Terri Jo provided were immensely helpful in writing our personal vows. Me and my fiancé didn’t know much about how the wedding ceremony was supposed to go, and didn’t have the time or knowledge to write a ceremony script but we wanted it to be heartfelt and tell our story, so we knew we needed a professional. Terri Jo was perfect! She is organized and such a great writer. She got to know us and our story through individual interviews and wrote our love story for our ceremony. She also tailored our ceremony for our vows and ring ceremony exactly how we wanted it. My Husband and I hired Terri to officiate our wedding ceremony and she was amazing to work with. Our ceremony felt super personal and one of a kind, because she took the time to get to know our love story and what makes us click as a couple before writing the script. While working with Terri, she helped empower us to create the ceremony we wanted and decide how we wanted it to run, and it was easy to feel confident in the decisions we were making with her expertise in the options available to us as a guide. She was also a great resource in knowing when and where to get a marriage license, what parts of the procession need different music, and other fun touches we could add to make the day more unique. In addition to crafting a beautiful ceremony, Terri was very flexible, allowing us to make very minor edits to the script, and allowing our photographer to snag some photos right after the ceremony before we signed the marriage license, which was so appreciated on a wedding day with such a fast paced schedule. She even mailed the marriage license for us, so that we didn't have to worry about that part of the process. Wedding ceremony
I enjoyed having Terri as our officiant so much! She was amazing. We had the opportunity to talk several times prior to the ceremony so we felt comfortable with her by the time of the wedding. She was so kind, patient and professional. I’d recommend her to anyone planning a wedding. We are not religious and we really wanted a non-religious ceremony and Terri delivered on that, but she is also capable of doing religious weddings if you’re looking for that!Ceremonies By Terri Jo's reply:

Terri was wonderful to work with for our wedding and we are very happy to have her officiate our marriage. Prior to the wedding, she scheduled calls with each of us to get to know us and our story better, plus a couple documents to answer questions. That work helped make the ceremony very personal to us.
