Nanette was a godsend - truly gifted ceremony writer!

My fiance and I were in a bind. Nanette saved the day. With just four questions/answers she was able to perfectly capture the spirit of our relationship in her ceremony script. She turned around a personalized script and revisions in under two weeks. One request I had was that we use unique quotes or passages and she hit it out of the ballpark with the two she chose for our ceremony. She has a coaching session scheduled with our "internet" ordained brave friend who is officiating our wedding. Win win! Nanette was a joy to speak with, professional, responsive and provided us with a truly stunning script for our ceremony. Highly highly HIGHLY recommend.

A great day with or without Nannette

We had Nannette prepare our wedding ceremony. She helped us have a general intro about love and then we worked with her on our own personal vows we wanted to say to each other. It was so helpful and insightful to hear her feedback for the vows as well as a clear outline of the ceremony. Funny thing is actually the day before our wedding Nannette called in sick! She was absolutely bed ridden but she was SO professional with handling the last minute change. She had already contacted our wedding coordinator and had her close friend officiant take her place and do the same ceremony for us. We didn't even miss a beat because Nannette was so on top of this potentially stressful situation. It was so helpful to have Nannette through the process. We had a great ceremony because of her planning and professionalism

Nanette is a blessing

Working with Ceremonies by Nanette enhanced our wedding experience greatly. Communication was smooth, and Nanette was even willing to meet with us a couple weeks before the big day. At that meeting it felt like chatting with close friend and we felt that same connection when Nanette beautifully performed our ceremony weeks later. Ceremonies by Nanette provided the lovingly thought out structure that we needed for our intimate, 60 guest ceremony. No microphone, no overproduction, just love! Heartfelt ceremony by Nanette

It was so wonderful having Nanette as our wedding officiant. I initially reached out to her for our November 2020 wedding but postponed till November 2021 and throughout the year, Nanette was so sweet and would check in with us to see how we were doing. It was important to us that we had a relationship with our officiant who could share our unique love story and Nanette did such a wonderful job! She created a heartfelt wedding ceremony that made it feel like she's known us for years! So many of our guests said that they loved our officiant and the ceremony was the perfect length of time- not too short and not too long. Hire Nanette, you won't be disappointed!

We had a friend marry us and figured that we could just google a wedding ceremony template. While I was researching how to write a wedding ceremony, I found Nanette and I am beyond thankful that I did.
She made the wedding ceremony extremely special, personal and unique to us as a couple. The ceremony felt so right for the two of us and made it that much more special. She helped us find a reading that both matched the personality of the reader and us as a couple. After the ceremony, everyone said it was the best ceremony that they ever saw as a friend as an officiant. Hiring Nanette was one of the best things we did for our wedding and if you are debating if it is worth it, it is! You won't regret it and you'll cherish your wedding ceremony memories.

Nanette is made for this role

My wife and I eloped, so picking an officiant felt extremely important to us because they would be the only other person there sharing our special day. We set up a phone call with Nanette and knew immediately that she was our choice. Prior to the wedding she provided us with all the instructions and guidance we would need and even offered to help with vows if we needed it. She asked us questions so she could give us the type of service we desired and she absolutely nailed it. The ceremony was perfect. Nanette is so warm and kind and we could feel that she was genuinely happy for us and loves being a part of these moments. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

First, she gives you a little packaged document of what is said in the ceremony which was so thoughtful and cute. We just had her surprise us what she was going to say and we absolutely loved it! Working alongside Nanette to create our wedding ceremony was such a wonderful experience. From our first meeting, we knew that Nanette was the one we wanted to officiate our wedding. She was extremely sincere, genuine, calm, and caring and it felt like we had known her our whole lives, even though we were just meeting for the first time. Her process of having us write out what we loved about our future spouse was extremely helpful when it came time to writing our vows and the whole experience felt natural and sincere. She was very understanding when we had to cancel and reschedule our wedding due to covid and helped us maintain a positive attitude and was always available for questions and advice. As our wedding date approached, she walked through the entire ceremony with us and included very meaningful quotes that perfectly captured our relationship. wonderful experience

Nanette was a great officiant to work with! She is very sweet and knowledgeable and we absolutely loved the ceremony she wrote for us. We chose the package that included 2 pre-marital counseling sessions and I'm glad we did! We felt so comfortable talking with her during our two sessions and she gave really great advice. Wonderful Experience

We had the best experience working with Nanette for our elopement ceremony. She came highly recommended by our photographer and planner and delivered above and beyond our expectations. She is an absolute professional, warm, inviting and genuine. Leading up to our ceremony she was communicative and helpful as we planned our vows and figured out our marriage license. On the day of, she was an absolute joy and we couldn't have been happier with our ceremony. We decided to get married just the two of us and two friends as our witnesses but having Nanette there felt like we were being married by a longtime friend. I can't recommend her enough!!

Fantastic Nanette

Nanette was the epitome of class and professionalism while working with my husband, Andy, and myself, for our Santa Barbara Courthouse wedding on May 7, 2021. Nanette wrote a beautiful and customized ceremony for us. My mother-in-law teared up afterwards and said it was the best ceremony she's heard! In addition, Nanette helped keep us on track, held us accountable (we needed this!!), considered the details, and worked with us on revisions after we had to move the ceremony from June 2020 to May 2021 due to Covid. She looked great in the photographers pictures, heh, and she brought us a lovely printed version of the ceremony bound by a ribbon and a handwritten thank you card. She is wonderful!

We initially considered my brother-in-law to officiate our intimate elopement, but decided to work with Nanette instead. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our decision! Amazing Officiant and Ceremony!

Nanette wrote and officiated a beautiful ceremony for our elopement! We were originally planning on going through the courthouse, but they weren't doing any in-person appointments so we went ahead and decided to hire a private officiant. I'm so glad we ended up with Nanette! She was extremely responsive and understanding while I was still trying to figure things out. I also liked that she was available to give me feedback when I decided to write my own vows. On the day of, she showed up early and delivered a beautiful ceremony for us. Spectacular and Magical!

We could not be more happy with our experience working with Nanette. She was pleasant, kind and extremely helpful throughout our entire journey. Communication was always seamless, especially during a very uncertain time. We would absolutely recommend her to any couple looking for a celebrant and officiant. Excellent officiant!

My husband and I eloped in Nov 2020 and due to Covid, our plans changed and had to plan everything within 4 weeks. Nanette was absolutely incredible pre, during, and post our wedding ceremony as she was professional and diligent in following up, making sure everything was in place to make our intimate wedding the best that it could be. We met her on our wedding day, and she made us feel super comfortable with her extremely kind, warm energy. We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant! Thank you for everything, Nanette! Wonderful Officiant!

Nanette was an absolute dream officiant! After a difficult year of cancelling our original plans, we decided to elope in Santa Barbara. We wanted it to be special and personal, and not to feel like we were just signing a paper. We found Nanette online, and couldn’t be happier that we did. She is warm, caring, professional and flexible, and she worked with us to create a beautiful, touching ceremony (in just one month, and in the midst of the pandemic) that we will treasure forever. A Wonderful Officiant!

Nanette McIntyre performed a moving and beautiful ceremony for us at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Throughout the process, Nanette was very helpful and knowledgeable about the entire wedding process, including helping to communicate with the courthouse officials, and helping us with the wedding certificate paperwork. She is a warm and wonderful officiant and we highly recommend her for your wedding! Oh, and by the way, she married us during the pandemic and despite the precautions (masks and all) she still made the whole experience special.

Dream Courthouse Elopement

My fiance (now husband!) and I had to push our wedding back to 2021, but we wanted to go ahead and get legally married with so many uncertainties in the world. Santa Barbara is a very special place to us as it's become our anniversary celebration spot. We knew we wanted our courthouse wedding to be at the Santa Barbara courthouse. We found Nanette through our planners and she became such a crucial part of our small little elopement team. With all the unknowns about the courthouse and Covid, Nanette through her connections and experience guided us with various options. She really went above and beyond to help the experience be a happy, less stressful one for us. On the day she prepared a beautiful ceremony and gifted us a copy of it, so we were able to re-read it and re-live the memory. It's so special to have. She is super professional and her energy matched ours so perfectly. We are thrilled and would recommend Nanette to anyone! You will have an amazing experience in her hands.

You cannot chose better

Having Ms Nanette be our officiant was the best choice that we made. We were looking for someone who could combine our two faiths and she did that we ease. What I did not expect was actually how her presence brings this palpable ease, from who she is and how she speaks. It’s hard to explain until you meet her. She is just so warm. It felt difficult for me to have someone who did not know us prior to officiate our wedding because I thought the warmth would be missing. Ms Nanette’s warmth was exactly what we needed. We also were concerned with how to find the right words for not only how we felt but how our story came to be, and after answering a few questions and visiting with her, it was somehow spot on, SPOT ON! We got SO many compliments from our friends and family about how they were shocked with her ability to capture our story. You won’t be disappointed by selected Ms Nanette. Guaranteed.

Wonderful Elopement Officiant

I would recommend Nanette to any friends or family in the SB area looking for an officiant. We reached out to her with a very small timeframe for an elopement (2 weeks before our desired date!) and not only was she incredibly flexible, but she dedicated so much time and effort to making our ceremony personalized to us and our vision. Highly recommend Nanette!

Nanette officiated our non-denominational elopement in Santa Barbara in Sept 2020, after COVID required us to postpone our actual wedding until 2021. From the first call via Zoom, her warmth, consideration for the experience we wanted to have, and inquisitive questions made it a no-brainer to go with her. We decided to be surprised by her sections as we felt comfortable she had asked enough questions to understand what we were looking for.

She checked in regularly as our date approached, and as we kept her updated on our timetable and other vendors. She showed up early, gave some last minute suggestions, listened to how we wanted to handle the first look and ceremony, and then ensured we were good to go on the marriage license. The ceremony itself was beautifully written and perfectly in line with what we wanted.

We would highly recommend Nanette as a wedding officiant, especially in Santa Barbara but also anywhere else. Thanks Nanette for making our special day even more special!

Nanette was such a pleasure to work with, which meant everything to my (now) husband and I during this challenging time to plan anything. We eloped, just the two of us, so it was very important to find the right person. Nanette has such a wonderful energy and from the start felt like someone we had known before. Not only was the ceremony she put together lovely and modern, but she incorporated two poems we chose so beautifully into the rest of her words. Truly couldn't imagine a better experience.

Stellar Performance During COVID

When the chance to get married in God’s country (Santa Barbara) comes up you jump on it! And when COVID delays your plans, you wait. And wait. And wait. During multiple delays Nannette was wonderful and supportive, helping us flex time and time again. Nannette delivered a heartfelt personalized ceremony. Nanette was great!

Nanette was a pleasure to work with and saved our last minute wedding. We (like many others) had to completely alter our plans due to COVID but Nanette was very understanding, quick to respond, and had fantastic recommendations to make our wedding day safe and special. We hired Nanette about a month prior to our wedding. She offered multiple plans depending on the state of the pandemic and was very flexible which took so much stress off the planning process during this time. Although it was a short timeline, Nanette offered multiple phone conversations to ensure we were comfortable with the ceremony, assistance with our personal vows, and provided clear guidelines as we were not able to have a formal rehearsal. Nanette wrote a beautiful ceremony that all our guests commented on. She provided a professional copy of our ceremony as a keepsake that we will treasure for years to come. The Very Best

In the midst of the viral pandemic, my husband and I decided to elope and were married by Nanette this week. We were initially going to marry in a small ceremony with our family, and had been planning with Nanette for the past 6 months.

Nanette was so easy to work with from the very beginning. She really felt like family from the get-go, and whenever she talked, a sense of calm immediately set in. She offered to meet us in person to review the details of the day and made sure we liked the setup of the ceremony. Before and after our meeting, we were able to set up phone calls with her to check in and update each other.

When we realized we had to cancel the ceremony, Nanette graciously accommodated us and really did whatever it took to make our dream of getting married happen. Team work really did make the dream work. We could not have asked for a better backup plan.

If you are looking for an officiant with a kind and warm heart and soul, Nanette is really the best. We could not have asked a for a better officiant to share our special day with, and we were so happy we picked her. :) Thank you Nanette!

Our Perfect Wedding Ceremony

Nanette came highly recommended to us by our wedding coordinator. Hiring Nanette was one of the best decisions my fiancee (now husband!) and I made and actually made the planning process easier. I knew that I wanted a very special and personalized ceremony and Nanette came through! We began with a phone conversation and then my husband and I were able to meet with her in person. Nanette listened carefully to what we wanted and incorporated humor and aspects of our personalities into the ceremony. She even helped us write and edit our own vows which was the highlight of our ceremony--all our family members loved how personal and touching they were.

Perfect start to the rest of our lives

From the very first conversation I had with Nanette, I felt she understood exactly what was important to us during our wedding ceremony and she exceeded our expectations. The pre questions we answered helped her to develop our personalized ceremony, that was written as if she was in the passenger seat of our love story the whole time, and like she understood our core values and what we wanted to represent in our ceremony. We met with her a few days before our ceremony and she really set us up for preparing and orienting ourselves to our day. Day of she is there to guide us, lead the ceremony, ease our nerves, and really create a warm rich beginning to our forever. The most personalized ceremony you will ever experience!

We really couldn't have asked for more with Nanette. Her calm and trusting nature put us at ease when we first met; it felt like we had known each other for years. We took advantage of her optional pre-marital couples' counseling and sessions greatly helped guide us through this stressful time in our lives. They also strengthened the bond between us greatly. My husband and I had many touching moments between the two of us when we answered her questions used for writing our personalized ceremony. We would answer them separately and then read our answers later to each other over a bottle of wine. It reignited our love for each other by reflecting on our past, how far we have come, and what we both wanted for our future together.

On our wedding day, I couldn't help but get misty-eyed when I saw Nanette. I felt so fortunate to have such a wonderful woman marrying us on one of the biggest days of our lives. She wrote an amazing personal ceremony for us and it made the day even the day even more special and intimate than we could have ever imagined. We received SO many compliments from our guests about the ceremony; the majority saying they had never seen anything like it. That's exactly what we wanted.

Perfect Ceremony!

We are so thankful that we got in contact with Nanette! She officiated our ceremony at The South Bluffs in Elings Park a few weeks ago and it was absolutely perfect; everything we had envisioned for it! We felt that she really took the time to understand how we wanted our ceremony to flow from start to finish. Absolutely Wonderful

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Nanette to officiate our wedding. We chose the personalized ceremony package. Nanette provided the perfectly phrased questions about our relationship so that, with our answers, she would be able to personify our love and articulate our connection. She then worked with us on making sure we were aligned in the draft she had written for our ceremony, and of course, because she is so talented, the most minimal of effort was required in finalizing what she had created for our day.

I started to choke up and became emotional walking down the aisle but once I reached the altar Nanette provided such a calm and reassuring presence was able to whisper just the right words I needed to get through the ceremony in the right mindset and take in every word that was going to be said.

Wedding Officiant

Nanette is a very passionate, loving individual. You can really tell that she loves what she does and takes pride in her work. She wrote our love story for our wedding and it was thoughtful and simply beautiful. Any time you need support writing your vows or working on your questions she is there either by phone or e-mail. Even when I was really nervous the day of she offered to come out to practice the ceremony with us both. My mother-in-law wanted to add an Ukrainian wedding tradition and Nanette added it into our ceremony with no problem. And her pronunciation of some of the Ukrainian words were spot on! I couldn't have asked for a better officiant to be with my husband and I on our extremely special day.

What a great experience!

Wow! We absolutely love Nanette -- she is so amazing at what she does and she's an amazing person as well. From the start we knew we made the right choice working with Nanette as we immediately felt a warm and comforting connection to her. She took a lot of time to deeply understand us as individuals as well as a couple. She also had us do several activities which helped us think, reflect, and strengthen our own understandings of ourselves and our relationship. A Beautiful and Personal Ceremony

Nanette did an amazing job writing and officiating our wedding ceremony. We knew we were not going to have a religious wedding ceremony but wanted to have a personalized and meaningful event. She even helped us work in some Jewish traditions and secular prayers that spoke to our individual backgrounds.

Nanette did an amazing job getting to know us as a couple leading up to the wedding. She really "got" us and it showed in her work. We spoke on the phone, email and met for coffee leading up to the wedding. She provided us with the ceremony script a month before the wedding. This made us feel calm and confident that the day would go off without a hitch.

Exactly what we wanted

In your mind, you have an idea of what you want your wedding ceremony to be like. But it can be hard to convey those feelings to someone who has to actually make them happen. When we started working with Nanette, we could tell that this was the right path. She has a very good process of getting to know everything about each individual, as well as our relationship together. After 3 rounds of detailed questionnaires (via email because we both travel a lot, so bonus points for flexibility there!), we met to go over everything. It was an easy process, Nanette did a beautiful job with her writings, and also gave us great confidence in the entire ceremony ahead. She helped keep my wife calm, and was absolutely perfect when the time came to have the ceremony. I can honestly say we would change nothing about that moment. Nanette was great from the very beginning. Although we were long distance, she reached out to us over the phone to get to know us from an early point which we thought was awesome. Our rehearsal went smooth because of her coordination - she's a true professional and it's easy to tell that she's done this many times before. Our wedding coordinator even made a comment of how experienced she seemed. She performed a BEAUTIFUL ceremony for us and created a beautiful ceremony program - she gave us many options which we liked because it showed she was open and respectful. She also is extremely calming...definitely talented in her profession. If you're considering using Nanette for your special day, think no more, she won't let you down,

Nanette was fantastic! She made planning our wedding ceremony easy, was very available for communication as we planned our wedding from across the country, and made us very comfortable throughout the process. My fiancé and I went back and forth about doing pre-marital counseling and finally took everyone's advice and decided to go for it. We are SO happy that we did! Nanette provided such a warm and welcoming environment to discuss our relationship and soon-to-be marriage that we didn't even feel like it was counseling, but just deeper, more meaningful conversations. Even though my fiancé and I had already lived together and thought we knew everything about each other, you prepare for marriage by learning things about one another through conversations you may not have on a normal basis and Nanette helps guide you there. Nanette was an absolute DREAM. She offers 3 different styles of ceremony (with so MUCH flexibility within each), and I highly recommend her 3rd option, the most personal one. Her process of creating a personalized ceremony is such a wonderful experience to have before the wedding. She did all the heavy lifting by writing and creating the ceremony, but at the same time, made sure we felt like feel like we had a voice, and were involved in the process. She also made us both feel so taken care of, and relieved some nervousness about “public” speaking and allowing ourselves to be “publicly” vulnerable and open. She made something that could have been stressful and challenging feel really good. I would give Nanette 11 out of 10 if I could!

Where to start?! Nanette helped to make our day absolutely perfect. Working with Nanette was a breeze for our small and intimate wedding at the Santa Barbara courthouse Mural room. Nanette initially sent us a suggested layout for our ceremony and kept us on track for fine-tuning it. While we had selected the smaller ceremony plan offered, she also graciously offered to help us write our more personalized vows.

We didn’t meet Nanette in person until the day of and nearly all communication was via email. Somehow, though, she felt like family and fit in beautifully with our day. The ceremony went smoothly, and we and our guests had a lot of fun.

Our first call with Nanette, I knew we had found the right officiant for our September 2017, Santa Barbara wedding. My husband and I were looking for an officiant who matched our nonreligious but spiritual values and she proved to be perfect for us.

Warm, professional and well organized, Nanette guided us through a variety of ceremonial style choices. Her questions were thoughtful and explored the story behind the love that brought me and my husband together.

At our first meeting, Nanette presented us with a beautifully written ceremony that shared our journey, dreams, and love. It represented our love story and where we were going perfectly.

Nanette was the officiant for our 9/16 wedding at The Fess Parker and I cannot recommend her enough! I found Nanette online when I was researching officiants in the SB area and we met for coffee to discuss Steve and I's relationship and what we wanted in a ceremony. I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted in our ceremony but I did know that I wanted it to be personalized and cover our journey as a couple.

Nanette had a lot of great ideas for how we can customize the ceremony and make it our own. The passion and excitement for her work was evident, as was the connections she's able to build with her couples. When she sent us our ceremony draft we were blown away. It was so beautiful and it really reflected the love between my husband and I.

The day of the wedding Nanette conducted a perfect ceremony. She has a very calming presence which made me feel instantly at ease. During the reception and even days after we received many compliments on how wonderful the ceremony was and how beautifully our story was told. We also appreciated how she printed out our ceremony as it is something that we will keep forever.

We cannot recommend Nanette enough. We decided to have a small intimate wedding at the last minute. We had only four weeks to plan and I was also very sick. So it was nice to work with someone who understood my time restraints and was flexible. She wrote the most beautiful ceremony for my husband and I, everyone raved about for days later. We can't even begin to thank her for what a wonderful job she did writing our ceremony, and walking us through the process of "all things ceremony".

From our first meeting, I knew that she was full of light and love, and it radiated through her vibrantly. It was an obvious choice for us after one coffee.

Nanette wrote us a beautiful, personalized, positively gorgeous ceremony that was unique, had wonderful flow, and full of relevant stories, quotes, and personal affects. Usually the ceremony is not the part of the wedding that people remember or rave about, but our guests could not stop asking me where I found Nanette and how amazing the ceremony was. Plenty of tears in that audience!

As far as the pre-wedding planning went, she was quick to respond to emails (something I found was priceless in the wedding planning process), made things simple and easy, with kind nudges and reminders. She stuck to deadlines, was always available if we had questions.

She also handled our post-wedding clerical work, and promptly mailed our marriage license the day after we were married.

Without a doubt, I would recommend her services 1000 times over and I know you will not be disappointed if you choose Nanette to be your wedding officiant. THANK YOU NANETTE! We will never forget this!

In the early stages of planning our wedding, my now husband was adamant about having a family member officiate, while I wanted to hire an experienced professional. We compromised by looking into ceremony script writing services, which is how we found Nanette. We ended our initial 45-minute phone consultation feeling completely comfortable with Nanette and her ability to both write and perform a ceremony that felt authentic to us and incorporated our families in a meaningful way (which is just what we ended up with).

With the package that we chose, Nanette provided us three sets of detailed questions that, over the course of our engagement, required us to reflect on various aspects of our relationship. Our responses helped Nanette compose a beautifully personalized ceremony - and we both agreed that writing out and sharing our answers with each other was a valuable exercise in and of itself.

We were able to meet in-person with Nanette on several occasions throughout the planning process, and she was always readily available to address any questions or concerns. Her professionalism and calm, supportive demeanor helped us feel confident and stress-free leading up to and on the day of the event.

Our ceremony stands out as one of the clear highlights of the wedding day. We had so many guests comment on how touching and special it was (and more than a few admit to crying like babies).

Nanette wrote a beautiful and meaningful ceremony, which our good friend used as a script to officiate our destinatin wedding. We had procrastinated quite a bit.... By the time we realized we needed help, it didn't give Nanette much time. But she came through, and the result was spectacular! She incorporated lovely personal details like vows to our children. Nanette was amazing!! The words and experience during our ceremony was one of the most important parts of our wedding and we could not of picked a better person to write our vows and deliver them with such grace and beauty! Our guests commented on how moving our vows were and reminder of love! We are not big at expressing our selves but after a few meetings and answering a few questions with Nanette, she drafted up the most beautifully scripted and perfect flow for our ceremony that really captured us as a couple. She listened to our needs and wants. She understood us most importantly. She added in all the small parts we wanted such as the Irish blessing and rose ceremony. She was calm and on time every time we met and especially on the day of. She helped us to feel relaxed and breath which we both needed as we were nervous before our ceremony began. She handled all the details of our license and even printed out our vows to save on nice paper. We contacted Nanette 3 weeks before our wedding date and she immediately get in touch with us. It was great to speak at the phone with her, discussing about the details of our ceremony and knowing each other. She was extremely precise about our preferences, offering three different ceremony packages. She provide us the ceremony draft in less then a week so we could review its content.
On the wedding day she arrived well in advance and she was absolutely lovely during the whole ceremony and after it.

Throughout the whole process she was always very kind, with suggestions and tips that allowed us to relax.

We were planning to have a large wedding in the fall but then decided to do an intimate wedding mid-May so had to put together a new plan quickly. We knew we still wanted to be selective about our officiant and couldn't have been more pleased that we decided to work with Nanette. She met us for coffee to make sure we were all on the same page and would be happy working together. My fiance and I left knowing that we made the right choice. If you're considering Nanette as your officiant, don't hesitate! She did an amazing job making our ceremony feel personal, intimate and meaningful. She works with you to plan the ceremony just the way you want it, but her first outline was so good that it only needed one revision to be perfect for us. She was amazing during the actual ceremony as well, calm, collected and friendly- even though we were running late and under pressure! Overall, we could not imagine somebody doing a better job than Nanette!
