The most AMAZING officiant!
Meredith was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only was she professional, organized and communicative, she also delivered the most beautiful ceremony for our wedding. She had us choose between different readings and sent us each a questionnaire to answer beforehand. She took the time to get to know my husband and me and personalized the ceremony in such a way that our guests thought she was a long time friend. Meredith also came early to my venue on the day of my wedding and checked in on me to make sure I was feeling okay. It was such a calming feeling seeing her standing with my husband at the end of the aisle because by the time our wedding came around, she didn't feel at all like a stranger. My husband and I attended multiple other weddings this year and after each ceremony we both said to each other "it was good, but it wasn't Meredith". So THANK YOU MEREDITH for making our wedding day that much more special!! -

WOW! Meredith was absolutely amazing to work with. I can not even imagine having a different officiant at our wedding. Our wedding ceremony was absolutely perfect because of her. She has a very calming presence and has great ideas to incorporate for your ceremony. When we asked her about certain ideas she had a lot of great recommendation to fit exactly the style and vibe we were looking for at our wedding ceremony. The ceremony was very touching, heartfelt and absolutely perfect. We can't recommend Meredith enough!!! -

We absolutely loved working with Meredith. I had an immediate connection with her during our initial consultation and all communication during the planning process was clear and easy. She created a one-of-a-kind ceremony, tailored to me and my husband. Everyone (even my Catholic parents who would have much preferred I had gotten married in a church with a priest!) found the ceremony to be incredibly special and meaningful. I definitely recommend Meredith regardless of your religious (or non-religious) preferences as she caters to all and ensures a unique, meaningful and intimate ceremony. -

Meredith was wonderful!
So glad we chose Meredith as our officiant! The ceremony she prepared was absolutely beautiful. In fact, she was the vendor we got the most compliments about from guests. My husband and I are not very religious and she did a great job of coming up with a spiritual and moving ceremony without the religious aspect. In preparation for the big day, she arranged a video conference call to get to know us better (we are not local to Tahoe.) She also sent us both a list of questions to answer about our partner that we sent directly to her so our responses were a surprise to each other on the big day. My husband and I did not write our own vows so these responses that Meredith shared with our guests really helped make the ceremony more personal to our relationship without us having to speak ourselves (win!). -

Meredith is the best!!! We had met a couple (who also got married in Tahoe) while traveling in Alaska who said the 1 vendor for a Tahoe wedding you have to hire is Meredith and we're SO glad we did!
She spent so much time upfront getting to know my partner and I before our ceremony (both in-person and with individual surveys/ questions via email), which enabled her to create a super personalized and professional ceremony. Meredith was calm, intentional, and created a space where my partner and I could truly soak in the joy of the ceremony and feel present, despite being in the spotlight in front of 150 of our friends and family.
We had debated whether or not to have a friend/family member officiate our ceremony and I'm SO happy we chose against that- Meredith presented so many different options and variations of ceremonies and allowed us to still feel empowered to create one that was unique to us and our priorities. We had SO many of our guests share that the ceremony (and particularly officiant) was the best they've been to.
We also so appreciated Meredith's easy-going and inclusive demeanor. Would absolutely recommend Meredith to any and everyone looking for a personalized, love-filled, and intentional ceremony. THANK YOU, Meredith!!! We're so grateful for you -

We had Meredith officiate our elopement and it was perfect. Her presence is so calming and natural, and she is super easy to work with. On the day of the elopement a bunch of smoke blew in and messed up our initial outdoor location plan. She proactively coordinated an alternative location with our photographer and called to suggest it a few hours in advance of the ceremony. We are forever grateful to Meredith for making our ceremony so meaningful and better than we ever imagined! -

The officiant plays the most important role on your big day as they have to capture and convey the story of the couple. When it came to choosing Meredith to tell our story we knew she was the perfect fit. Her friendly demeanor was inviting and her expertise in the field ensured we were in good hands. She provided us with helpful information about the entire process from the ceremony planning to obtaining a marriage license. She took time to listen to our story and intertwined our answers from her detailed questionnaire to incorporate, which made the ceremony so personal and special. Another great thing is how flexible she is. She really tailors to the couples wants and needs so every ceremony is custom while still incorporating traditional elements. Our guests also raved about how she had the perfect tone and voice which set the mood. -

Above and Beyond - Thanks Meredith!
Meredith curated the most beautiful ceremony for us, we couldn't have asked for more. Her level of detail, thoughtfulness, passion and expertise made it so special, memorable and very US. When working with Meredith, she took the time to understand our needs, what is important to us, and genuinely understand us as a couple. In addition to hearing from us, she also guided us in the process and answered any questions we had. Our love story, our faith and our families were all so beautifully incorporated on our special day. She was originally supposed to marry us in Tahoe but after wedding plans changed, she cheerfully agreed to make the trip down to San Francisco City Hall and we are so grateful! Can’t say enough great things about Meredith and the services she provided for our Lake Tahoe elopement. She was very knowledgeable and helped us with the legal logistics of our ceremony and even found out we could get our marriage license in Texas and bring it with us to marry in California. Making our ceremony personal to us was her top priority, she took the time to get to know us beforehand and checked in several times to make sure she wasn’t missing any special details. She was flexible throughout the entire process when some last minute hiccups happened which we really appreciated about her. I would hire her again and again, thank you Meredith! -

From Officiant -> Stand in Bridesmaid
What can I say about Meredith except that she is a joy to work with, TRULY a professional officiant and helped my husband and I create the most sentimental, meaningful ceremony. Don't just take my word for it - all of our guests were gushing AND crying as we warmed our rings. Meredith provided a number of reading options and let us customize the ceremony exactly to our liking with a few calls leading up to the big day. She shared what marriage means to us (we completed a questionnaire in advance) and didn't even bat an eye when I asked her quote our favorite EDM song lyrics at the beginning of the ceremony. I was raised Catholic, and ALL of our guests, even more traditional family members, were blown away by the beauty and depth of our ceremony.
We had a tough go of pandemic wedding planning.... add in the 2021 Caldor Wildfire to the mix and I was a mess on wedding day. When Meredith showed up, her kind presence immediately set me at ease and even more than that, she even stepped in for pictures with a cardboard cut-out of my bridesmaid who couldn't make it at the last minute because of the smoke!
During such a whirlwind, Meredith was able to guide us through the essentials (MOH + BM signing our wedding paperwork as witnesses) as well as capturing some of my favorite behind the scenes photos before, during, and after the ceremony. It was so hectic and, you know, the world was kind of ending with the fire all around us, and she just kept on doing her thing. We are so thankful we had her on our wedding team.

Northern California ceremony
Hiring Meredith was one of the best decisions we made for our elopement ceremony. Having to postpone and then cancel our original ceremony plans due to COVID, we were left scrambling to find new vendors in a completely different location across the country. During our first virtual meeting, she was so insightful and professional, we knew we'd be in good hands. Our ceremony was small and intimate, but Meredith's guidance and eloquent words made it even more special. Our family and friends were all very moved by our ceremony and everyone had nothing but compliments to say about her. We were so thankful to find someone who not only knew the Tahoe area well, but listened to all of our concerns. We were initially going to have a close friend marry us, but are so glad we hired a professional officiant instead. Meredith truly cares about the couples she weds and it shows in her questions, professionalism, her media, and personality highlighting everyone she comes across. Our dog was a big part of our day and she allowed him to be present with us and have his moment in our ceremony, I loved every moment of the ceremony and wish we could it again! I love how she created a social media reel showing our day from her view. It was all around amazing and we still get compliments for what a magical ceremony Meredith created for us. A perfect ceremony

My husband and I decided to have an intimate wedding ceremony in Lake Tahoe and came across Meredith's name many times. During our initial interaction with her via email and then phone, we both knew that Meredith was The One! :) She is very kind, professional, detail orientated, and we knew that her custom-tailored ceremony would beautifully narrate our history.
A few weeks before the ceremony date, Meredith reached out to confirm details and sent a nice reminder of things to bring and how to prepare. On the day of, she met with us individually and was warm in her interactions with our immediate family and very calming. Everyone enjoyed her presence.
Her narrative hit the spot many times. She took the history of our life together and crafted the wording of her ceremony in the most beautiful way possible. We've been to other ceremonies and the officiant's words were not as powerful nor touching.
Meredith exceeded our expectations. Almost makes you want to get married over and over just to hear her officiate the marriage! :) -

The most beautiful, intimate ceremony
Planning a destination elopement was equal parts exciting and overwhelming, so we were grateful when our photographer recommended Meredith to be our officiant. We were relieved to get a personal recommendation for THE most important part of our wedding. From the moment we reached out to Meredith, she eluded a sense of calm and made us feel confident that she would be the perfect person to officiate our wedding. As a social worker, I loved that she had a background in social work too. I knew she would take an empowering and open minded approach to our ceremony. Meredith took the time to get to know us so she could craft a personalized, intimate ceremony with content that was meaningful to us and represented our own unique relationship. She went above and beyond planning for and officiating our ceremony — she worked with our photographer to recommend ideal elopement spots near Lake Tahoe, provided a list of recommendations for a celebratory dinner afterward, and gave very detailed instructions on how to obtain our marriage license and certificate. As the covid pandemic unfolded, Meredith always promptly answered my repeated emails about how things were going in Tahoe. She was flexible and would have been accommodating if we needed to change our plans at the last minute, but luckily we didn’t need to. On the day of our wedding, Meredith brought extra joy to our day! The ceremony was beautiful and serene, despite a host of devastating wildfires burning throughout the state. On top of everything she did to make our ceremony and the planning process absolutely seamless, she even offered to run to the restaurant and check in for us when we were running late! We are so grateful for everything Meredith did to make our wedding day absolutely perfect and would recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant in the Tahoe/Truckee area! We can’t imagine sharing such an intimate event with anyone else. -

If you are in need of an officiant in Tahoe, Meredith is your girl. We postponed our large wedding in Texas due to Covid-19 but still wanted to get married. We live in SF and Tahoe is a special place to us, so we decided to elope. Our fabulous planner/photographer connected us to Meredith and we couldn't have been happier with our ceremony. Meredith did a zoom call with us weeks beforehand to get to know us and our love story, and we filled out a questionnaire to share stories to help her make the ceremony very personal. Neither of us are very emotional, but we were crying on our wedding day because of how wonderful everything was. If you're debating whether or not it's worth hiring a professional officiant or not - the answer is yes and Meredith with make all the difference for your special day! Co-creating our ceremony with Meredith was a fantastic experience. We went into the process unsure of what to expect and came away with a custom wedding ceremony that was the perfect amount of religious (for certain relatives), personalized, sentimental and fun! Meredith was so kind, helpful and flexible while planning and had so many great tips and suggestions as well. She brought up a couple activities we could do during the ceremony and mentioned the idea of sealing a bottle of wine with letters to each other to open in the future which ended up doing a version of. Meredith brings such a positive and calming energy and she truly has a gift for wording things so beautifully. Our families couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed the ceremony as well and how she included them in parts of it. You can tell Meredith loves what she does through the way she helps you create an incredibly special experience, even the way she opened and closed the ceremony felt so meaningful. Her and our photographer, Elsa Boscarello, also worked together to make our day run as smoothly as possible. We were from MD so were unsure of who was reputable in the area, and Instagram pictures can only tell you so much about how easy people are to work with. I could tell by talking to her that she was accepting of all individuals, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find an officiant who would be able to give a meaningful ceremony without including religion but her words were perfect and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect ceremony. She has such a wide reach in and around the Tahoe area, hiring her should make any bride immediately feel less stressed. Couldn't recommend more! -

We couldn't be happier with Meredith
It's always challenging to pick a starting point when sharing an experience with others where everything goes right. That's a great problem to have though, and in short, me and my wife couldn't be happier with the ceremony Meredith provided for us. Not only was she insightful of the process (it's something we all know aspects about but not the details of), but she was also collaborative from the beginning. She always made herself available to us, and was a calming influence durning the anxious moments leading up to the wedding. Let's face it, telling a story that captivates and captures the essence of a special relationship isn't easy, but Meredith was creative, kind, funny, interesting, and just all around awesome—to be frank. Even our guests remarked how great she was! If you're at all like us and seeking an officiant that you can feel at ease with—and confident with—amongst all the uncertainty that is A LOT of wedding planning, then I couldn't recommend Meredith enough. Meredith was one of the best decisions we made. We were another Covid couple that decided to elope to Tahoe and she welcomed us with open arms! She FaceTimed us to get to know us, had us write personal parts of our story that she could weave into the ceremony, and was responsive the whole time. She helped us pick the perfect location and I’m still in awe of the spot she suggested. She even helped us pick a Plan B location because of all the fires. As far as the ceremony went, it was absolutely perfect. Down to earth, yet special and told as a love story. As the other reviewer said, she moved so the camera got us saying our vows and filmed us for us! Such a sweet person that clearly loves what she does for a living! Couldn’t recommend more. -

We were so so so happy and thankful to have Meredith officiate our June wedding in Tahoe. She brought a truly special intention and energy into the event that really set the tone. We organIzed our elopement on short notice after canceling our larger wedding due to covid. We have no regrets and recommend to anyone who is uncertain about eloping or changing plans to do it! (If You can Meredith of course lol) . From the first meeting with Meredith only a couple weeks before the wedding, she gave us a great direction and feeling after having so much change and uncertainty leading up to to it. Her thoughtfulness in planning and the way she does things set out a great framework for the ceremony. She was kind, thoughtful, calm and intuitive. On top of all that, she is very prompt and professional with communication and logistics. She also referred us to an amazing guitar player who we hired and loved. I highly, highly recommend Meredith! If you are lucky enough to get in on her schedule, go for it! -

10 stars wouldn't be enough to describe how amazing Meredith was. Due to Covid our Florida wedding was cancelled so we decided to Elope in Tahoe. Meredith was flexible, extremely helpful in planning, went over and above with her help on the wedding day and that doesn't even include the phenomenal ceremony. She was a joy to be around and is the kind of person that within a few minutes of being around her, you feel like you have been friends for ages. She made both my wife and I feel so comfortable and immediately took our nerves away.
Often you see vendors with 5 star reviews and assume they are inflated but not the case with her. All 5 of our vendors had pretty much all 5 star reviews and Meredith was night and day above them. Just save yourself searching through vendors and comparing and just book Meredith. You will enter your wedding glad you chose you and finish your wedding not knowing how you could have found anyone more perfect! Thanks Meredith!! -

THE BEST decision we could have made
Deciding who would officiate our wedding was a stressful decision for my husband and I. Do we ask a family member or friend that is apart of our life? Or hire someone we have never met? I started to do some research and someone recommended Meredith. I knew in the first 5 min of talking to her, that I wanted her to be the one to officiate our ceremony. She has such a positive energy and charismatic personality! Her words are magic and cadence of her voice is beautiful! She had settle cues to ensure our ceremony ran smoothly without any awkward moments (besides me putting husbands ring on the wrong finger 🤦🏼♀️). I would recommend her 100x over. -

I was recommended to use Meredith by my photographer Ruthanne Z. We planned our ceremony to be just the two of us and our 5 parents in the mountains. Of course our officiant and photographer were key vendors with such a small intimate ceremony.
I was NEVER nervous or skeptical in hiring Meredith as the person to marry us. She made me feel SO CALM And reassured from the very beginning. Her voice, her energy, just her presence is so calming and that’s exactly what any couple needs on their wedding day. Getting married during a global pandemic is never ideal- we worked through uncertainty with county offices being closed, marriage licenses being put on hold, everything. Any question I had for Meredith, she was very assuring and helpful in finding solutions to our pandemic induced “hiccups.”
Her process of the video chat, getting to know you through questions and just talking through the steps is very personal. She got into what truly matters and for us that was showcased at our ceremony. Everyone has their own beliefs and spiritual views and it was important for us to still keep the ceremony our own style- while also pleasing our parents. Meredith tailored everything so perfectly- I feel like no ceremony should be the same, especially when doing something so out of the box like we did and she made it happen.
••••••One of my favorite traits about Meredith was she is SO AWARE of your photographer! *** (A lot of people don’t realize until after) & this is so important when you’re paying so much for photos! Though she is so naturally pretty and looks great in what photos she is in- she DOES know where and when is appropriate to move around so your photographer can capture special moments.
I highly recommend Ceremonies by Meredith if you’re looking for a great spirited, warm, genuine, kind and peaceful person to officiate your big day.

I can’t say enough amazing things about how thankful we are that we were led to Meredith! My husband and I were married to each other many years before and found our way back to each other. We had a big wedding in our home town previously. We honeymooned in Lake Tahoe then. When we decided to get married again we knew Lake Tahoe was special to us. My husband and I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about our officiant Meredith. We first met her in a little wine bar in Squaw Valley and we knew right away she was the one for us. She is so kind, calm, warm, and just has such great vibes. We wanted a non religious and unique ceremony. Meredith introduced us to two beautiful wedding ceremony traditions that neither of us had heard of before and we ended up using both of them. First, was the ring warming ceremony. This is where your wedding bands get passed around to all of your guests so they can hold them and take a moment to charge them with love and wishes of a happy marriage. The second was a hand fasting ceremony in which she ties a rope which we made around our hands binding us together. All of our guests still talk about what a unique and lovely ceremony we had. Meredith Is An Absolute Angel
I tend to procrastinate when I have something really special to write, which is why it’s taken me 3 weeks to leave a review for Meredith. There is so much I can say and it’s hard to put into words. From the moment we first contacted her, up until recently post wedding, Meredith has been nothing short of amazing. She put so much thought and care into the ceremony she crafted for us, complete with personal details and surprises she saved for us that were so special, not only evident to my husband and I, but to all our guests as well. Many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful ceremonies they’d ever witnessed [and they sincerely, genuinely meant it] and we owe that all to Meredith. Not only does she pour her heart into the actual ceremony herself, but she is an absolute professional when it comes to all the administrative work post-wedding involving the marriage license. She is a God-send and is so super responsive - she went above and beyond for us and even took the time to send us Maui and Kauai recommendations for our honeymoon since she used to live there. I could ramble on all day about Meredith, but you should book her for your own most special day and see what we mean for yourselves, you will not regret it! We are so happy that Meredith was the officiant for our ceremony! This was the most important part of our wedding day and Meredith went above expectations. She spoke with us several times to get to know us better. She had a very genuine approach and was able to truly personalize our ceremony. Meredith is authentic, professional, creative, sweet, and articulate. She helped us create a ceremony that encompassed our friends and family with the ring-warming ceremony. We had several of our guests express how beautiful the ceremony was and they loved that they were included and able to send their love to us through our rings. Perfect Day!
It felt like divine intervention finding Meredith for our elopement ceremony. Coming from FL to Lake Tahoe was a task in itself. Meredith not only made me feel so relaxed and comfortable with booking everything, she was also super accommodating when our original date got snowed out! Meredith is an amazing officiant and very experienced! She takes the time to get to know you and personalizes your ceremony. She has relationships with many Vendors. She coordinated my bouquet and boutonnière as well. I ended up using my own make up artist and photographers, but she can coordinate all of the vendors for you too. Hands down best officiant
Meredith was absolutely amazing I cannot put into words how special she may our day but I will try to... first off, she meets with clients (via face to face or video chat) prior to your wedding so she can get to know you on a more intimate level. She shares a questionnaire with both parties and uses the responses from the questionnaire in the ceremony. I had plenty of attendees after the wedding come up after and say she was the best officiant they’ve ever seen and that our wedding was very unique and intimate. Hands down, if you’re thinking about booking her, do it! -
