They are all extremely communicative as well. I was searching for a bilingual officiant for our wedding, as my wife is from Guatemala and speaks hardly any English. Ceremonies By Kristi and Associates delivered. Wow! Such a great experience!
I first contacted Kristi to do our officiating and she was great to talk to. She went above and beyond to help me get the perfect place to do our ceremony and helped me iron out any possible issues that could arise.
Our officiant was Melanie and she was absolutely wonderful! She tailored our ceremony verbiage to fit our preference and it was perfect! She is so sweet and she radiates a happiness that flows out with her words, making it an even more special experience. We loved her!
I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I would definitely recommend them!

Mr. Marc was our officiant and he exceeded all expectations!! He dealt with my requests with no hesitation!! Mrs. Kristi was also amazing reaching out throughout the whole process to make sure everything was going to go smoothly and it did! Beautiful Elopement

Our guy was Mark. He’s funny and down to Earth. He stayed making us laugh. He had forgot our sand which was disappointing but, luckily we were able to call him way before he got to the venue so crisis averted. I understand they are human. If sand wasn’t able to be gotten we would’ve just did a candle ceremony. We always have a backup plan. Great company and affordable pricing. Fast responding as well. Everyone is nice and informative. You get to choose whether you’d prefer male or female. I highly recommend.Ceremonies By Kristi and Associates's reply:

Kristie was great! My service was beautiful. She took my fairytale theme and ran with it. The only thing I wish is that I had copies of our vows before we said them to make any tweaks. I bawled crying for my entire delivery because it was so beautiful and bit overwhelming. She did a great job at understanding us.Ceremonies By Kristi and Associates's reply:

So what I do now with the vows....I write separate sets (one for each partner), even if the couple plans to write their own vows. I like to be prepared. I've had many clients who cried so hard trying to read the vows they had written themselves that they couldn't get through them. Whether they plan to use the vows I write or not, I have each partner read the ones I wrote for them in private, shortly before the ceremony (I find that is a great time to make final decisions on vows...because the time for saying them is almost there!). Then, if needed, we can make changes.
I ask them if they'd prefer to read off the card or repeat after me. I find repeating a bit awkward, but fully support my clients' decisions. If they want to read the card, when it's time, I hand them the card and try to stand off to the side a bit (because this usually is the most intimate, intense part of the ceremony and when the photographer can capture the emotion, the photos are incredible.....and MUCH better if my face isn't between them! LOL). I stay close enough so that they can easily reach me if they need me nearby for support (which happens quite a bit).
I also began using some methods of calming the couple, wedding party, guests, etc DURING the ceremony. It's actually very effective!
I was able to understand the both of you because you made it easy. During the times we talked before your wedding, both of you were comfortable sharing information that you believed could enhance your ceremony...and also knowing that anything you do NOT want shared, I will never tell a soul. This is definitely an area where my decades as an RN come in handy!
When clients are closed off and/or do not/cannot take the time needed for the 3 of us to get to know each other well enough to communicate effectively, it's more difficult...so we do offer traditional ceremonies. I can usually still get enough to personalize things to a decent extent (this is where children come in handy! LOL!) It can be disappointing when we get some things wrong (because we didn't have enough time and info with them) and the clients get angry. Fortunately, that is rare. I try, from the very beginning, to really emphasize that a truly personalized ceremony has to be a team effort and the couple will need to put aside time to spend with us. If they are too busy or just not willing, we can always offer a more traditional ceremony. But I think you would agree that a TRULY unique and deeply personal, meaningful wedding ceremony that respects everyone as an individual is a truly magical experience (but its not necessarily for everyone). This is part of why I give my clients their scripts....if, say 10 years down the line, one of them is wondering why they married this person, they can pull out the script...and, we hope, trigger the memories and feelings of that all important day.
Oh....and I do faithfully carry hankies and/or tissues now!!
I LOVE when clients have a great vision of their wedding. I had another client I decorated for not long before I officiated for you and she also loved the fairy tale theme. The bride was in her 40's and I loved her take on it. She said: "I work hard, I've raised my kids and do so much for other people. This is the one day that *I* get to be the Princess. Let's be real: All women should have the opportunity to be a Princess for the day." I'd just say that all women should have at least 1 day each week to be a Princess!

We both loved the ceremony that Kristi did for our wedding. She took something from each of us and our family's wiccan and Christian beliefs and put it together so beautifully! We were worried about how different everything was (as far as our beliefs and rituals are) and how our family's would handle it but the way she executed it was perfect. She made the handfasting rope and gave us copies of the ceremony script to keep!

NOLA Elopement
Hiring Kristi for our NOLA elopement was the best decision we did. We were married at the Tree of Life on 12/23/22. Unfortunately, it so happened to be the day after Louisiana got a massive cold front that blocked a lot of roads.
Kristi was very transparent about the closures and called me the night before to reassure me that she had a backup plan in case she couldn’t make it into town.
We got married by Brandon and he did everything he could to make our day special.
I was so appreciated of what Kristi and Brandon did for us.
I would highly recommend hiring Ceremonies by Kristi! The communication throughout the entire process was fantastic and Kristi and her associates are incredibly kind people.

I remember well. I lived up north for most of my life and learned to drive in a blizzard in Washington DC. So I have no problem driving in ice and snow as long as the snow isn’t higher than my car!
But down here, if there’s even a RUMOR that the temp could be in the 30’s, everything closes (including the Causeway, which is how us North shore folks get to the South shore). This is why we worked so hard to make sure we had top notch officiants on BOTH sides of the Causeway.
The local governments also don’t have salt trucks and snow plows because we don’t get weather like that enough to make the investment worth it.
I’m just glad we were able to get you married, even if it was a bit chilly!

Great experience
Kristi got us booked on a fairly late notice for our small elopement! She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and her assistants that came as witnesses were fabulous as well! We were only in town for a couple of days but she made sure we had everything taken care of and was able to go home with our marriage certificate in hand. My record for fastest wedding(several years ago....I don't like to make a habit of hurrying through everything unless, of course, there is a pressing reason for it, as was the case for this couple)....starting time was when the client called me trying to find an available officiant...end time was when I pronounced them married!
The entire process only took a bit less than 90 minutes total, but we were still able to write a personalized script, my daughter took photos, and it was lovely!
You are so correct that we truly care about all of our clients and any day I wake up and have a wedding ahead is a GREAT day!. Our team works together so well and we are always willing to work together to make sure our clients receive the best experiences possible. Of course, we are human and occasionally make mistakes.....but we use them as learning opportunities so that we won't make the same blunder twice. Of course, your day was beautiful (no t-storms as had been predicted).....it was as good (maybe even a little better? ;) , given time constraints, etc.
But again, I was able to write you a fully personalized, unique ceremony and even threw in a bit of spontaneity to keep everyone on their toes.
I hope the kids had fun with the Sand Ceremony and didn't make too much of a mess! If you think about it, I'd love to see a photo of it in its finished state. Every one...although similar....takes on a life, personality and likeness that reflects the loving family who created it.

My wedding was April 2, 2022 and my original officiant canceled on us a week before the wedding. I found Kristi and she didn't hesitate to help us. She didn't stop until she found us someone. Mi esposo y yo por circunstancias nos encontrábamos viviendo en NOLA, no teníamos idea de nada sobre los trámites de la boda y KRISTI desde la primera llamada fuera estupenda, es como si ya lo conociéramos de antes. Marc is the best!
As far as Marc goes, he gets five out of five for literally everything! Please pick him if he is your vibe!
From the first day that I communicated with him, we set an appointment to meet on zoom after I filled out all of the questions. We met for, for about an hour he requested that he be able to communicate with the groom between that date and the wedding date. They communicated several times. Marc checked in when the groom was slow to respond. We communicated through email and text message. It was absolutely fantastic. He showed up on time the day of the wedding had all the paperwork under control! Any bride’s DREAM!!!!
Kristi seemed to have a lot going on right now. From what I can tell Kristi runs the business. She was the first person that I messaged in October and she did respond several times back-and-forth that day but then we went several weeks without communicating. She ended up getting back with me and letting me know that she was having some family stuff come up but it was all going to work out! I think that was December.
In that conversation, she did say that she’s much better at texting than emailing. So I gave up on emailing and exclusively tried to text her. She let me know that there was premarital counseling involved as an option. I responded with options for me and options for him. Several weeks later she ended up texting me and saying “how about right right now.” I apologize for the way that I looked. I had gotten out of the shower and still had my towel wrapped around my hair, but we had about a one to two hour session. I was able to meet with her, but her and my partner was not able to meet. She messaged my partner and asked for days and times if he was free and she would respond with dates and times that were not what he said. EI “ What would be good for you?” Thursday at 11 AM. “OK how about Friday at 9 PM?” They at least had two session days and times that ended up not working out possibly three with in 30 day of the wedding. He got really frustrated and ended up giving up and not having his session. She reached out to me (text) the day of the wedding to apologize and to say that it’s still really important to have these meetings, and that she was going to try to make it work even after the wedding.
I responded (text) to her on Monday after the wedding and today is Saturday. She still hasn’t responded.
From what I read on the Google reviews, it seems like the relaxed atmosphere is an issue for some people. I have seen complaints about scheduling and stuff and that is what frustrated my partner about the counseling.
All in all I have absolutely no regrets about picking this company and selecting Marc!!!!Ceremonies By Kristi and Associates's reply:
Hey there! I'm so glad that Marc came through for you and that you had a wonderful wedding! He is a jewel of a human being.
You were correct....I had quite a bit going on during the last several months of 2024 that I chose not to share with our clients. All of our communications were during this time. My first grandbaby was born prematurely and had a very traumatic birth. For the first month, there was a good chance he wouldn't make it. After a 4 month stay in the NICU he was finally ready to come home...then part of my son's roof caved in! So we had to deal with that. Then bringing him home...I had to give my son and daughter-in-law a lot of help the first few weeks.
Of course, I did not want to worry our clients with our family issues. The time around your wedding should be positive and stress kept to a minimum. So I didn't say anything about what was going on. I tried to schedule things around the baby's NICU schedule, but so often, something would happen and I couldn't get away. Cell phone reception wasn't the best at the hospital. If I was able to get messages out, I didn't want to make up excuses because I believe in being honest in all parts of our business.
The last 4 months of 2023 were some of the most complicated of my life. NICU babies are incredibly unpredictable. As a business owner, with employees who wanted to keep up the work and clients wanting their services.... I had difficult decisions to make. One of our clients was an RN and a mom...I did tell her and we were able to FaceTime a few times from the hospital when the reception was good.
Reading this, I hope you agree that I made the right decision in your situation. I was also afraid that if I told you, all the emotions I had been holding in for months would tumble out because our conversations were very easy....and that wasn't what you needed. I waited to respond to you here because I wanted you to enjoy your honeymoon period without hearing sad stuff. And your criticisms are warranted.
I'm actually working on a presentation for people in the wedding industry that discusses trauma during wedding planning....for the clients and the professionals. I'd love feedback from past clients, now knowing the full picture.
I'm happy to say that my grandson recently turned 1. He's an absolute joy! Although he likely has a bit of cerebral palsy in his legs and right side, he is surpassing everyone's expectations by leaps and bounds. He was very blonde hair (alot of it!), blue eyes, dimples. and the sweetest smile.
