Wedding officiant
Carmen was beyond amazing. From the very beginning stages all the way to the day of, we could not have asked for a better officiant. She made everything so fun and brought our vision to life. Great experience!
Carmen did an amazing job as our officiant for our wedding! She took the time to really get to know us as a couple and understood the type of ceremony we wanted; personal and heartfelt. Throughout the planning process, Carmen was always very responsive and helpful when we would ask her questions or guidance. On our big day, she was organized and professional, making sure that everything ran smoothly and exactly how we talked about. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better officiant and even received multiple compliments from our guests on what a great job she did. We would highly recommend her!!Ceremonies by Carmen's reply:

Best Officiant Ever
Carmen was the nicest, funniest, and most sincere officiant we could have asked for! Through our phone calls and zoom meetings she took detailed notes and really got to know us. We had multiple friends as well as other vendors asking if Carmen was related to us because she understood us on such a personal level. Carmen went above and beyond during the planning and rehearsal so that everything was smooth sailing when it came time for our ceremony. We can’t recommend her enough!Ceremonies by Carmen's reply:

Professional and Personal
Carmen did an incredible job throughout the whole process. She was communicative and responsive which goes a long ways today. She made her process very clear so we felt comfortable with what to expect. She crafted the ceremony to be very personal for us and wrote/spoke very beautifully, truly going above and beyond. While our ceremony ended up being very windy, she did an incredible job of battling the elements and executing flawlessly.
From our first conversation to the ceremony, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Patient, Thorough, Experienced, and Organized
Carmen was a delight to work with. She was patient with us as my wife and I went over details pertinent to our cultures and various unique ceremonies specific to our wedding. She was patient with revising the ceremony structure several times, on time, and adapted to audio issues we had during the ceremony without getting off track. Highly recommend!
We hired Carmen for our smaller (90 person) wedding and she was incredible! Unfortunately the wedding planner we had wasn’t the greatest but when Carmen arrived, she directed us as to what we should do with the ceremony/marriage license/etc and was incredibly helpful! -

Friendly, Fun and Flexible
Carmen is amazing. In less than three week's time (that's how long we planned this wedding) she produced a lovely personalized ceremony script for us (it made me cry). There was an interview process we did over the phone, she created the script and quickly gave us a draft so we could tweak portions if/as needed. Carmen is very helpful in answering random questions concerning the ceremony and legal pieces. She arrived well before the ceremony to ensure everything was in place and ready for us. Carmen is very personable, kind, responsive and clearly enjoys participating in the celebration of love. I highly recommend utilizing her services...and even becoming her friend. Cheers! -

Carmen was so easy to work with- she was a great officiant! My husband and I were married on 10/23/21 in Benton Harbor, MI. Carmen did such a thoughtful and detailed job putting together the script for us to review, make any edits and approve in plenty of time before our big day. She listened and included what we said about each other in the script. One of my dear friends said the ceremony felt like a love story instead of your typical standard wedding script. We decided to hire Carmen as our wedding officiant and were extremely pleased with her services. With just a short time getting know both of us over the phone, we felt like her words really captured our relationship well. She let us read through and edit her script as much as we wanted to ensure it fit exactly what we wanted for our big day. She was also a HUGE help on the night of the rehearsal making sure things moved smoothly and efficiently. Excellent from start to finish!
Carmen was outstanding. As our wedding officiant, she put our minds at ease during a time when we were stressed out to the max! She did a great job of “running the show” at our rehearsal dinner and kept the ceremony on track during the day of our event. She was also very accommodating on the script and worked with us to make sure it was perfect.

Carmen did such an amazing job with helping us plan our wedding ceremony. We met over Zoom to do the initial planning and then worked with her to create the ceremony of our dreams. We met Carmen the day of our wedding (we elected not to have her present for the rehearsal) and she was warm, welcoming, and professional. Due to “COVID season,” our actual ceremony was indefinitely postponed. We very much wanted to get married still and couldn’t wait to tie the knot. The courthouse didn’t have dates that worked for us, so I ended up looking up officiants in the area. We decided to reach out to Carmen based on the great reviews and we were so pleased to find out for ourselves why. We had a quick elopement in the botanical gardens Carmen was so friendly and personable, she is a person who loves love. She was incredibly thorough and responsive when we reached out. The actual ceremony was so beautiful, her wedding script and vows were so well written. We had such a short ceremony but within that short amount of time, Carmen left such a great impression on us and we are so very thankful to her for giving us such a lovely ceremony. Carmen is lovely!
From start to finish, Carmen was lovely to work with. My husband and I decided to get married last minute during COVID. Carmen was willing to work with us at a very short notice and she was responsive and easy to contact about any changes we made regarding venue.
We met Carmen the day of our wedding because we chose an elopement ceremony and did not have a consultation. She was even more lovely in person. Very personable, bright and warm. Her words during the ceremony were so beautiful and truly grasped the love and beauty of marriage. We couldn’t have asked for a better officiant. I would highly recommend Carmen! -

A beautiful ceremony
Carmen was wonderful to talk to and really got to know our relationship and story. After talking with her through FaceTime she sent us a draft of what she planned on saying for our ceremony. It was so thoughtful and well written we didn’t even need to make any changes to it! She was there for our rehearsal and made sure we were comfortable with the timing and order of everything so we could rest easy the night before the wedding. Our ceremony was perfect and we know that her words were very meaningful and spoken from the heart! You need to have Carmen as your wedding officiant, she made the whole thing so relaxed and easy!! Magical day with Carmen
We were lucky enough to have Carmen as our wedding officiant on 10/26/19. We met her beforehand in person, and she really spent the time getting to know us . She was genuine, professional, warm, and lovely to be around. She worked with us to generate the best wedding script for our day. She arrived the day of our wedding on-time and excited to be there. Phenomenal
Carmen was phenomenal, she is so personable and professional. We met with her in person prior to the ceremony and she was quickly able to assess and distill our relationship details into a great ceremony script. She was prompt with communication regarding the ceremony and was always able to answer our questions. During the rehearsal and ceremony Carmen was perfect, she was great with our friends and relatives and kept everything flowing and made sure we all felt prepared. My wife and I can not say enough good things about Carmen. Every aspect of working with her went perfectly. She listened and catered to our requests, she made herself available, and she has a way about her that makes you feel very comfortable. My wife and I both have Christian backgrounds but we didn't want the ceremony to be a sermon; Instead we wanted more of a celebration of our love and relationship. Look no further. Carmen is amazing. She is down to earth and makes the process unforgettable. As a same sex gay couple, we really needed to ensure our officiant would be the right fit for our family abd she was the perfect choice! The best part of her process is her wedding script process. She got to know the two of us and then wrote a personal script based on who were are as a couple and how we met and our story. It was very original and she always made sure we could make any updates and changes we wanted at any time. She met with us several times throughout the process and was available anytime we had a question. She offered many ideas but was never offended when we declined certain ideas or offered our own. She offered religious and non religious scripts based on the wants and really worked hard to customize it to make it truly original to us as a couple. I had never seen this done so well before in my life. She offered many ideas on how to incorporate our kids (my husband wrote special vows just for them) and to include them in the process, as we were all becoming one new family. We did a sand ceremony that also included the kids. Carmen was very professional, yet not so overbearing. Very easy to talk with and friendly. Made you feel very special and she made sure you were comfortable through the whole process. -

LOOK NO FURTHER! If you are hoping to have a romantic and personal ceremony; Carmen is your vendor. She was an absolute delight. She takes time to get to know you, she's very responsive throughout the entire process, her script was incredible (INCREDIBLE!), and she did everything exactly right on our special day. There truly wasn't a dry eye at the ceremony, and our guests RAVED about it when it was all over. It was by far our favorite part of the day. Carmen loves love. Carmen was absolutely wonderful! Our hunt for the perfect officiant was not easy, and we definitely didn't take it lightly! We wanted someone who would get to know us FAST and who would make our ceremony exactly what we envisioned...and Carmen did that! She was prompt with responses, very flexible, and a pleasure to work with! We had many people ask our parents after the wedding who officiated and how we found our officiant because they were as impressed as we were. We loved Carmen. She was easy to talk to and helped me clarify what I wanted to say for my own vows. She had beautiful things to say during our non religious ceremony. Carmen did an awesome job at our ceremony. She was extremely professional and responded quickly to emails. Even though we had a small "elopement" ceremony, she made us feel very special and her words during the ceremony were beautiful and heartfelt. I am so glad that we chose Carmen as our officiant. -

Carmen was amazing from the time we reached out to her via email requesting availability. She is very efficient at getting back to you right away. She put a lot of time and thought into creating a beautiful ceremony. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. She helped put us both at ease the day of the wedding. I remember looking at her and feeling a sense of calmness.
She really does take her time at getting to know you as a couple and takes into consideration your wants and needs. She will show up way ahead of your scheduled time and is so professional! She is just as excited for you to get married as you are, and it shows! She does not force any ideas onto you and will respect your wishes. I am so happy we chose Carmen to be apart of our day! She is affordable and will be there for you every step of the way. Highly recommend her for anyone who is wanting a beautifully conducted ceremony. -

From the first meeting with Carmen, she made the whole experience truly amazing. She has a great personality and both me and my fiancée connected immediately with her. Okay Carmen really is the greatest! Heres why:
- Her prices are reasonable
-She invites you to meet her so she can get to know your relationship. Because we lived nearby she invited us to her home!
-She seemed to have fun getting to know us.
-She provides free therapy (just kidding...sorta)
-She is incredibly professional, shows up on time, makes sure everything is arranged so she can do her job.
-She is flexible. She asked another couple to move their wedding time back a bit just so she was able to fit us in on the same day. We had a very tight timeline. (Thank you to that couple!)
-She tailored the ceremony to something that fit us perfectly. She incorporates what you want, then offers pieces that match your relationship and wishes.
-She sends thoughtful messages along the way.
-She is down to earth.

-Our ceremony was not a religious one but she didn't reject us outright, like some officiants. Instead she embraced us and validated our ceremony then turned it into something very meaningful for us.

Carmen was a FANTASTIC officiant for our wedding! She was very easy to communicate with, and definitely put us at ease. Planning the actual ceremony was difficult for my husband and I, as neither of us had any strong affiliations to any religious officiants. However, Carmen was wonderful at incorporating certain readings and vows, and worked with us in everything we wanted. She took the time to get to know my husband and I, which made our ceremony more personal and tailored to us. She was also a VERY calming presence during the rehearsal, day of, and during the ceremony. I think she kept me from being a hot mess of tears! Hiring Carmen was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. -

There are not enough words to describe how incredible Carmen is! From the first time I spoke with her on the phone I knew that I wanted her to perform our wedding ceremony.
I found Carmen online when I was frantically searching for an officiant just 3 months before our wedding day. I emailed her on a weekend and in just a few hours had a reply. We spoke over the phone first, the had a face to face meeting where Carmen asked us about our relationship and what we wanted in our ceremony. She wrote an amazing script for our ceremony that was everything we wanted. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was even able to organize our very large wedding party (8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, and 6 children) during rehearsal. Our ceremony played out perfectly and I know that would not have happened without her!

Carmen did an outstanding job overseeing our wedding ceremony. We had a very tight turn-around time from the date the Supreme Court decided to grant full rights and citizenship to its gay and lesbian citizens (June 26, 2015) to the date we wanted to get married (our 28th anniversary as a committed couple, July 9, 2015). Carmen is professional and very friendly and welcoming. She's elegant, charming, and classy. We truly lucked out in finding her. You will not make a mistake in choosing Carmen as your Officiant. Would make that choice all over again in a heartbeat. -

Carmen was very easy to talk with and she was able to pick up on little cues when speaking of one another. Her ability to pull this together just after speaking with over phone, in person and in email really made our day special. She had some suggestions that my husband and I had never considered or didn't realize where things (rose ceremony for example). We thought that this was a nice gesture for both moms, as a thank you for everything you've done for us as individuals as well as a couple. Carmen gave us a sample script and was more than open for suggestions for editing and changes; though we didn't need any revisions. Her ceremony was perfect! My best friend and I sat in my living room, reading over the scrip out loud with some laughs and tears of joy as well as remembrance, and I cannot believe I'm/you're getting married tears! Carmen was very patient with the rehearsal (we had a 2.5 year old ring bearer and a 5 year old flower girl) and only had to do a few runs but was more than willing to do more if we felt like it was needed. She was absolutely perfect for our day. -

We really enjoyed getting to know Carmen over the past year as we planned our ceremony. She was the perfect fit for us and was so helpful in making our ceremony everything that we wanted it to be. Unfortunately, there was a time mix up and the wedding started an hour later than anticipated. We really should have confirmed the time from both ends, and I am not bringing this up to place blame. I bring it up because we were so appreciative of her professionalism and ability to keep calm and officiate our ceremony exactly as we planned.
