Celtic Ministries and Rev. Cian made our special day absolutely perfect. They worked with us to find a location, to help plan our small ceremony, and even provided a witness for our Alaska elopement. We found out late in our planning that the Anchorage court only does justice of the peace weddings on Fridays. We had only a few weeks to pivot to a wedding with an officiant. Celtic Ministries was our answer, and made our wedding even more special than we had anticipated. Rev. Cian met with us a couple times prior to talk through our backgrounds and our goals for the wedding. He wove handfasting into our ceremony at our request, which added even more meaning of the special day. Thank you Celtic Ministries. We are so happy with how our Alaska wedding turned out.... much better than we ever dreamt.

Rev. Cian is the best at what he does. So responsive, down to earth, and super great sense of humor. Had all the necessary forms that I mistakingly didn't bring with us, and had the best patience for our videographer holding up the elopement. So easy to work with!

Wed on a glacier!
We were already spending time in Alaska when my fiance asked about getting married on a glacier. Sounded easy enough to talk about but maybe that is a bit of a stretch. Turns out that it was fairly easy. When you google that, you find multiple event coordinators, photographers, etc. We needed just an officiate and a helicopter south of Anchorage (on our way to Homer). We found the perfect team with Celtic Ministries and Alpine Air. Pilot was both pilot and 'photographer' and did an outstanding job at both. The bonus were the pictures before and after the ceremony by Reverand Brandon. Unexpected and quite a surprise. Fantastic job in both photography as well as the ceremony! They kept in touch several times with questions about details, etc. They even provided an Alaskan peonies bouquet. Would highly recommend Celtic Ministries without reservation!!

Felt like family!
Celtic Ministries was recommended by our Elopement Planner, Wild Hearts, and we couldn't have been happier of the outcome. We are from the lower 48 and I was worried about having to find a minister from so far away that we wouldn't know. But, from the very beginning of contact to the very end if was worry free and stress free. Brandon felt like family. We decided to do a very small elopement ceremony with just our kids and two family members. So when we finally got to meet Brandon in person, it was as if we had known him all our lives and like he was part of the family. He is so personable, down to earth, and was great with our little girls who took right to him. If you are eloping and want the feeling of family there, then I recommend Brandon. The absolute best of the best!
As a bride who lives 3600 miles away from Alaska, looking for vendors was definitely a daunting task. Finding an officiant was probably the most stressful of all. I came across Celtic Ministries during my search and set up a phone call with reverend Cian. What should’ve been a fairly quick phone call turned into almost an hour of just chatting away. I knew immediately that they were the ones! He gave me so much information on the area, and recommendations for everything wedding related. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, rev. Cian wasn’t able to officiate our ceremony and instead we had reverend Brandon who was nothing short of incredible. He was personable, had an amazing sense of humor and truly made our ceremony as magical as the location we held it. He even helped our photographer in the end with our family photos, added some extras in there that we hadn’t even thought of and always had a smile on his face. We laughed, we cried and we laughed some more. We can’t recommend them both enough and are truly grateful to have had them as part of our very special day!

Great experience with Officiant Branden!
Fantastic experience to hold the wedding ceremony on Mat-Su glacier! Cian was super patient to introduce the ceremony process and help us find the ceremony place. Branden held the ceremony for us and helped us A LOT to set up the decorations!!!

Amazing experience!
We were very blessed to have Reverend Cian officiate our wedding ceremony in Girdwood, Alaska! Overall, it was a joy to work with Rev. Cian. He is extremely genuine and kind. He has vast knowledge of the Bible and a ton of experience doing ceremonies. We were able to video call multiple times. Rev. Cian helped us plan our faith-based ceremony and guided us to find the perfect readings for our day. On top of that, since we were coming in from out of state, he had a lot of insight with the area as far as ceremony locations and suggestions for sightseeing. Rev. Great for out of towners
We’re are from LA, California and it was the complete opposite of Anchorage Alaska. Reverend Cian was great with planning and communicating during the entire process. Was very patient and even recommended our location based on what we told him what we were looking for. If I would redo anything I would listen to him better and not forget snow cleats because the paths are very slick during winter. Glad he was prepared and random hikers were nice enough to lend us some.

We didn’t know of a location for our ceremony, but they picked a beautiful, intimate spot that worked amazing for pictures. We brought our one year old with us and they worked so hard to get her to smile for pictures. Very sweet group of people. Alaska Marriage 2022
We couldn’t have been more pleased with Reverend Mulhern and how he advised, guided and assisted us in our long hoped for marriage in Alaska. Not only did he do all of that, but he provided our needed witnesses as well. In that we reside in Northville, Michigan and wanted to be married in Alaska, was not an easy feat, but he was with us every step of the way. We literally could not have done it without him and his genuine caring ways. The witnesses he provided were equally phenomenal, going above and beyond expectations. Words simply cannot adequately express our heartfelt gratitude.

Truly a great Pastor to officiate
He was very understanding about working on an elopement schedule. He gave us a beautiful certificate of marraige and a wonderful ceremony. We would highly recommend him to anyone who is going to be wed. We were very blessed to have him apart of our special day. We could not have been more pleased with This minister. From the very first contact that we made with him, our experience was amazing. He checked in with us to make sure we were all set for our special day. He gave us ideas on where to perform the wedding and the scenic locations for our desired out door winter wedding. He was very kind, patient, and professional and above all, he greeted our wedding party while we were running late due to the nerves and weather conditions. We were afraid our special day would not happen due to the winter weather. He MADE IT HAPPEN ♥️
We were very thankful that while filing for our marriage license his ministry was recommended.

Amazing Experience
From the very beginning, our experience was superb. Rev. Cian was very responsive, professional, caring, and clearly very experienced. My fiance and I had never been to Alaska prior to our wedding and we honestly did not know what to expect! Originally, we were thinking of a simple ceremony with just two of us surrounded by the beautiful nature of Alaska.
Re. Cian went above and beyond to exceed our expectations! We were thrilled with the way he helped us to plan and to navigate all the weather surprises on our special day! It was a rainy day and Rev.Cian was able to change our original location to a place that was covered by canopies of trees. It was wonderful! We thought that the new place was even more scenic than the original. Re. Cian even arranged a witness since Alaska requires two witnesses and our photographer was the second one. The witness, Brandon-who came with Rev. Cian- was so helpful with getting in and out of the car, the dress, the shoes, umbrellas, etc! We were blown away! Oh, and we received a surprising reception under a covered pavilion that Rev. Cian, Brandon, and his mom (!) prepared for us! Everything, from the flowers to the cake was outstanding! Plus, we felt like we were surrounded by family members! We could not stop talking afterward about our amazing experience.
You can absolutely trust Rev. Cian to make your day as special as it was for us!!

Breathtaking Venue
Originally, we wanted the ceremony on the rocks during low tide at Bird Point. But due to the overcast weather and winds at the time selected, Rev. Cian came prepared with another option. We were married in an enchanting looking forest in front of a breathtaking waterfall. It was amazing! Rev. Cian and associates went above and beyond our expectations. They made us feel like old friends. Very kind, patient, attentive and prepared for everything. The clouds cleared amd we were able to have photos taken at Bird Point, as well. Top notch; highly recommend. Thank for a beautiful ceremony!!

We chose Celtic Ministries to officiate our elopement in Anchorage and could not be more pleased with the experience. The best of the best!
My husband, Michael, and I decided to do a destination wedding and it was important to us to find an officiant who we felt connected with. After talking to a few officiants, we had a phone call with Rev. Cian and we knew he was the one! Cian was so helpful in teaching us about the licensing process, helping us design our ceremony, and answering all of our silly questions along the way. If we had a question, we knew we could reach out and Cian would respond in minutes. Unfortunately Cian was unable to perform our ceremony last minute, but he texted us bright and early in the morning with a solution - and that's how we got to also meet Rev. Branden! Reverend Cian officiated over a beautiful ceremony, and finally they brought a small bottle of champagne, cheese and crackers and a BEAUTIFUL cupcake for our wedding cake. Amazing and everything we dreamed of!
We decided to elope and chose Alaska as our destination. We looked for an elopement package that would cover all of our needs and found one located in Girdwood, AK. We got in touch with Celtic Ministries through our photographer (they work so well together). Everyone was so nice and so responsive! We planned our elopement in about 2 weeks and even though we thought it would be tough for it all to come together in time, it did! Reverend Cian reached out to us right away and explained everything we needed to do with our marriage license application (we live in Florida so it was so helpful to be able to talk through this process with someone). He was so helpful and answered all of our questions. We didn’t write our own vows, but instead had Reverend Cian come up with the vows for us and they were beautiful. He was so kind and so happy to meet us and be there for us on our special day. We are so thankful for Celtic Ministries and everything they did for us leading up to and especially on our wedding day to make it an unforgettable experience. Thank you again!

Exceptional service. I felt like Reverend Cian really took the time to ask questions and find out what was important to us. He was also so patient and helpful answering all of our questions. At our ceremony he was so kind and had such a comforting presence that it didn’t feel like we were getting married by a stranger, but rather someone we’ve known for years. 10/10 would recommend.

Last Minute Elopement
We reviewed a couple websites. Rev. Cian's video on his website, we knew this was the man we wanted to officiate our wedding, especially his statement of "Love is love.", at the end of the video. Rev. Cian called us back right away, worked us in on short notice, and made sure that he knew exactly what we wanted. He arrived early, and the ceremony was beautiful. I would definitely recommend Celtic Ministries to family and friends.

Perfect all the way !

My husband Stephen and I had a wonderful experience working with Reverend Cian for our wedding. He was so easy to communicate with, and his responses were always prompt and thoughtful. We really appreciate Reverend Cian taking the time to get to know us, to really deliver a personalized wedding ceremony. We opted to include Celtic handfasting in our wedding ceremony, which was a very special and unique element. Reverend Cian was so accommodating; he did not balk at all when I called him 6 weeks before our wedding to let him know that instead of our traditional wedding, we would be getting on a helicopter and eloping, due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Our wedding day was so special, and the ceremony was a huge part of that. We would not hesitate to recommend Reverend Cian to any other couple looking to get married in Alaska!

Beautiful, personal, and meaningful ceremony.
Reverend Cian went above and beyond anything we could have imagined for our elopement ceremony! We planned our elopement just a few weeks in advance but Rev. Cian was responsive, flexible, and professional. He somehow managed to create a ceremony that was both traditional and completely personal to us. He even added a quaich ceremony per our request, which is an ancient Scottish tradition. This was his first time performing this ceremony and it was absolutely perfect!! Our ceremony is something we will never forget. THANK YOU REV. CIAN!

Covid-19-induced Elopement!
Reverend Cian was absolutely fantastic to work with! Super responsive and really nice. Every dealing from booking to pre-marital counseling to the ceremony was awesome. He was super helpful and answered all of our questions. And he adjusted flawlessly when, due to covid-19, our classic church wedding became an elopement in a meadow in Girdwood. He even wore a Tyvek suit for some epic pandemic wedding photos! Thanks, Rev. Cian!

Was the absolute best day of our lives so glad Cian was able to be part of it. Super helpful, we were so grateful he shared in our day with us. Rev Cian is the best!
We wanted a minister for our wedding and we wanted to incorporate a Celtic hand-fasting into our ceremony. Rev. Cian was able to handle everything and made our day memorable. He met with us several months ahead and gave us the instructions for making the hand-fasting ropes. After the wedding we received a bound book with our vows and the ceremony included. Inexpensive and worth so much more than what he charges! Nicest guy ever with a great personality and we thank him for his contribution to our wedding day.

my perfect wedding
I live in Michigan and was wanting to get married in Alaska during a vacation I had already had planned. I sent an inquiry to Celtic Ministries and received a message back quickly. After speaking with the minister, I was informed that what I was wanting, he could do for me. He was very nice and very accommodating. At a later date, I decided I would like a photographer was informed that it could be done. The day of my wedding was perfect!! The minister and photographer were amazing. The two of them made our day perfect.

We are from California and traveled to Alaska to be married in Denali. I found Celtic Ministries to be very friendly, accommodating and professional. The Reverend is very good at keeping an open line of communication. We appreciate the Reverend as well as the photographer to travel so far, going above and beyond to give us the wedding we had dreamed of. Rev. Cian was light hearted and caring. We had to cancel our "big wedding" due to personal health issues and he was very patient with us, especially since we were being indecisive about what our plans and where we were going to have the "smaller wedding". Both my (now ) husband :) and I would highly recommend Cian solely just on how attentive, punctual, professional, and understanding he is. Thank you for the beautiful ceremony! :)
