This review is long overdue. We hired Celilo for our Hood River 2021 wedding and everything was absolutely incredible! The food and wine were exceptional! The ingredients were so fresh. The service was amazing! The dinnerware was high quality. The Wildflower cake was also ordered through them and it was delicious!
Not to mention, we had an incredible tasting experience in their Hood River restaurant with other couples getting married that season.
I could not recommend them enough! -

Best wedding food ever
If you're looking for delicious, fresh, local, beautiful, quality food for your wedding then look no further than Celilo catering. Our guests still talk about how good the food was, 6 months later! We had many guests coming from out of town who had never visited the PNW before and we wanted to show off the amazing food our region offers. Celilo did not disappoint. Everything was completely perfect and our guests were provided with the culinary experience of our dreams. We also loved that they offered a family style option. This made the dinner feel even more intimate and really helped guests connect over the food. The staff was professional, kind, efficient, and kept the day flowing smoothly. The bar was also outstanding and guests were able to order beverages with ease and without waiting in a long line. Aside from how wonderful the food, drink, and service was, the planning process was so easy. We got to attend a great tasting and worked with Heather to finalize our menu. We decided at the last minute that we wanted a wedding cake and ice cream and she helped us pull this off. That's another thing, the wedding cakes are AMAZING. Not the typical wedding cake that guests don't eat, guests kept going back for more. We can't recommend Celilo enough for the best PNW wedding food experience imaginable. -

I cannot say enough good things about Celilo. Heather is great to work with, organized, super responsive and knows her stuff. The food is absolutely incredible - we went to the tasting and ended up upgrading our package because it was all so good we couldn't decide. Their pricing is very straight forward, what you see is what you get, no hidden fees, no weird tiers, very easy to understand. We received a ton of compliments on the food AND staff on our wedding day, everything was fantastic. Highly recommend! -

Not your typical wedding food
You guys if you are in need of AMAZING service and outstanding food for your wedding or any event honestly... this is seriously the place. I searched for so many places and this one caught my eye right away. Heather Sullivan helped me with everything here and she alone was legit a gift from god... she went above and beyond and helped me out in any way that was needed. Her and the company came up with the cutest ways to serve our food during these crazy covid times. Every single person LOVED our food and kept saying this wasn’t typical wedding food. They even made our cake and wow... to this day I find myself craving it. Sooo moist sooo delicious and the way it was decorated and displayed was just priceless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. -

We were married earlier this month at Gorge Crest Vineyards and Heather Sullivan was our coordinator along with Celilo for our caterer. They make a perfect team & seamless wedding experience! Celilo provided fresh and delicious food that completely exceeded our expectations. The drink service and staff was amazing as well. Our guests were talking about the food for days after the wedding and gave compliments to the professional and polite staff. Since our wedding took place during the pandemic, Celilo made sure to take the necessary precautions in order for our guests to have a safe experience. Celilo hired an extra staffer to sanitize surfaces and the facilities throughout the night, which was something our guests definitely noticed and appreciated. They also came up with an alternative plan to serve our guests their meals and drinks in the safest manner. We truly appreciate how Heather Sullivan and the folks at Celilo went above and beyond to make our wedding day exceptional and one to remember for years to come. I'd recommend this team to anyone!! -

A perfect 10!
We couldn't have been happier with both Celilo Catering and Heather Sullivan as wedding planner for our daughter's wedding this past summer at Gorge Crest Vineyards in Underwood. The quality, presentation and kitchen/server staff associated with Celilo's food and bar service far surpassed our wildest expectations, and the family style serving approach was much better than folks standing in a buffet line. The food is prepared on site and is locally sourced, and Celilo and Heather were both extremely flexible in tailoring the food and drink offerings to exactly what we wanted. And Heather did a great job wedding planner - always calm, organized and flexible. As to other vendors, we couldn't have been more pleased with Gorge Crest as a venue, Viento Winery, Backwoods Brewery, DJ Ryan Kolberg of Gorge Music, and Blaine and Bethany Photography - all did a superb job. We had close to 150 guests at the wedding, and numerous guests commented that it was one of the most magical weddings they had ever attended. -

Celilo was an incredible catering company for our wedding. Heather Sullivan was my wedding coordinator and catering guru so I felt 100% taken care of. Their food is incredible, they offer fantastic customer service and there is a fabulous pre-wedding tasting session that had a very personal touch. If you are looking for a restaurant with unforgettable food and easy communication than look no further! -

From day one we were impressed. Heather and her team were awesome, and the food was equally as amazing. Loved the farm to table selection that made our Hood River wedding even that much more special. All of our guests were impressed by the quality and selection of food they got. We had a bountiful selection of apps and opted for the family style dinner. They were very accommodating with our requests, and helped iron out the plan to execute it. Was also very happy with the selection at the bar. Loved the local beer and wine we got to choose from. You wont be disappointed!

What a wonderful group of people! And what creative and delicious food. Heather was a dream to work with and Chef Ben was so accommodating to my personal dietary needs (vegan) without compromising on any flavor, creativity or local flare. My wedding guests RAVED about the food to me and my parents and how elegantly it was served. I am so happy about my decision to hire Celilo to cater my wedding. I absolutely recommend them. -

Heather at Celilo was GREAT to work with. Everyone is still raving about how delicious it was. Ben worked with us to create a special squash dish not on the menu and it was exactly how we imagined it would be. The bartenders did a great job and attended to my partner and I all night so we didn't have to worry about a thing. We're excited to keep eating at Celilo whenever we're in town. -

Could not have hoped for a better wedding dinner!
We feel very lucky that we were able to work with Heather from Celilo to plan the dinner for our daughter's wedding. After meeting for a tasting, we knew that the farm to table food and their willingness to manage special dietary needs that they would be perfect for us. We enjoy high quality food and presentation and we were not disappointed. Their menu, drink and dessert selection, presentation and service were all top notch. The staff was thoughtful, professional and very happy to be working for Celilo. They served champagne or ice water to guests as they arrived, passed hors d'ourves and signature cocktails and even served children a special macaroni and cheese dinner!!
Not only were we impressed but our guests continue to talk about the family style gourmet dinner they had at our wedding. Everyone agrees that it is the best wedding dinner they have ever had! Heather was organized and always had the time to call, meet or email when we had questions. We could not have hoped for a better experience and would highly recommend choosing Celilo for any special event!! -

We chose Celilo for their farm-fresh, local ingredients.
Beyond that though, Heather, Ben, and the team at Celilo delivered food and service beyond our wildest expectations! It's been a few months since our wedding, and our guests still talk to us about how amazing the food was. Both Heather and Ben were so accommodating to our needs. They even arranged for a special tasting for us when we were trying to determine which vegetarian entrée to provide. Truly an exceptional experience and a delicious meal served at our wedding. We highly recommend using Celilo for your wedding catering needs! -

We recently got married and used Celilo for catering. The first time we met with Celilo, before we decided to use them for catering, we had a great experience! They gave us a great sampling of food from their restaurant menu and a few different drinks as well. Immediately my husband and I were won over. They have an extensive catering menu with so many different types of food to try. We picked several apps, a salad, two mains, and 3 sides. All of it was delicious! Their staff was so nice and they were all so easy to work with. They helped make our wedding a complete success! Anybody who needs catering, for any type of event, I would recommend Celilo and I know you wouldn't be disappointed! -

Catering goes beyond weddings. We had a large 100-year, two-day, corporate celebration in which Celilo catered. We wanted an event that epitomized who we are as a company. A huge part of this centered around our catering choice. Celilo is beyond exceptional on every level. From the finest detail to the perfection in food preparation, Celilo is hands-down the only option in catering excellence. You will not get rubber chicken - I promise! Local, thoughtfully produced fare is Celilo's forte. Duckwall Fruit could not have been more satisfied, period. We urge you to choose Celilo for all your catering needs. You will not be disappointed, except when you don’t book early enough. -

The food that Celilo catered for our wedding was absolutely delicious!! We went to a tasting event at the restaurant a few months before the wedding, which was just plain fun! After the tasting I knew the food would be good but the food we got on the day of the wedding was beyond good, it was spectacular. The quinoa and roasted vegetables had flavor, the chicken was juicy, and the service was incredible. Heather, the catering manager, was extremely patient and responsive throughout the planning process. I am SO glad I chose Celilo. -

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Celilo and Heather. Right from the start... literally the email inquiry where you have no idea about options/pricing/date availability... Heather was absolutely amazing! Responsive, flexible, sweet and she LISTENS you guys..... she actually listens! You are not JUST one of several sweet couples, you are her couple. She remembers details and follows-up, and even gets creative with options. Now maybe its because she was a coordinator in her prior days, but I fully believe that it's just Heather. The selections of food were fantastic, and they even set up a group tasting where you can go try some of their seasonal items- DELISH!! Seriously, if you don't believe this review, pick up your phone and call or send an email to inquire about more info. You will LOVE Celilo and they will love you right back for your special day! -

Patty Sent on 06/09/2018Celilo Catering did a wonderful job coordinating the rehearsal dinner for our son’s wedding. His was a destination wedding in the Hood River area and we invited all 120 guest to the rehearsal dinner. Held in the Ruins at Wildwood, formerly Springhouse Cellars, Heather Sullivan of Celilo, coordinated not only the dinner, but also worked with the other vendors involved. She and our florist, Naomi Jellison of Bloomsbury PNW, worked together with Wildwood Event manager, Ryan Huntington and his staff, to organize everything, creating not only a beautiful space, but also a delicious and well served family style meal. The Celilo catering menu is extensive. We went with the 2 entree option and added extra appetizers and the dessert package. Although everything was fresh and delicious, the star of the menu was the grilled marinated wild salmon with zhoug. The Celilo catering pricing included onsite grilled cooking, place settings and service. We used Havana linens and water goblets from Riverhood Rentals and crossbacked chairs from Barclay Event Rentals. Heather coordinated all of the interactions needed at our dinner with them for set up and take down. I communicated nine months by email and phone with Heather. She always replied quickly and warmly. She is also a Wedding Consultant (Wedding Love Notes) and thus extremely efficient and especially helpful as the Celilo Catering Coordinator. I cannot say enough great things about her. I wish we had had the option of using her as the consultant for the wedding, but sadly, we did not have a choice. The bride and I met once with her when we were scouting out the area and we dined at the Celilo Restaurant one evening (fabulous) and were sold. We were unable to attend the tasting dinners that Celilo Catering offers, but were already confident we could pick anything from the menu and would be pleased. You will not go wrong using Celilo Catering and Heather for any of your events - they are second to none.

Lindsay Sent on 10/15/2017I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience with Celilo Catering was! We got married at Gorge Crest Vineyards in June of this past summer. From the beginning of the planning process we were impressed with Celilo by not only how delicious the food was, but how easy they were to work with. Heather was extremely responsive and happily answered all of my questions. She was quick to provide options to consider, which I found super helpful. We attended a group tasting at the restaurant in Hood River that was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. Our guests were blown away by how tasty the food was on the day of the wedding, and I might be biased, but it was hands down the best wedding food I've ever had as well. We did family style serving, which was a great alternative to a buffet type serving and the guests loved it as well. The food came out in courses and the main entrees were staggered so everything came out totally fresh off the grill. I loved this. They were also super accommodating for a handful of vegan guests, with no problem whatsoever. We also opted to do the beverage package with 2 signature cocktails and the BEST local beer and wine selections. So easy to let them handle everything. My husband and I are really into food and drinks, and it's one of the things we love the most about the PNW. Celilo was the perfect caterer to use to showcase this to our friends and family (many of whom were visiting from the east coast.) Again, I just can't say enough about how EASY they were to work with and how smoothly the day went. I highly recommend using them. We would definitely choose them if we had to do it all over again! :)

We could not have asked for a much better experience with Celilo Catering. We planned our Friday wedding in about five months, and were so lucky that they were available on our date. From the beginning Heather, the catering coordinator, was responsive and helpful. She went above and beyond, giving us helpful tips beyond just the catering process. They were very accommodating with our budget and preferences, a vegan guest, and a special children’s plate at our wedding. We were able to have them do our good and bar service, which saved a lot of effort on our part. They were even able to add on a dessert package for us pretty last minute after our original wedding cake plan fell through. We received only compliments on the food and drink from our guests on our wedding night. The service was overall professional, except for one server that could have been dressed a little better - unfortunately enough so the receive a comment to me from a couple family members, but ultimately probably a one off and a very small issue for me. If you are looking for an easy to work with and high quality caterer in the area, you’ve found it.
