Dream wedding!
We had the most incredible experience hosting our evening wedding at Celestine. Everything—from the food and drinks to the warm service and seamless coordination—was absolutely perfect. Our guests were raving about the gorgeous venue, the beautifully set tables, the attentive staff, and the delicious meal, and we couldn’t agree more.
A special thank you to Rose, whose attention to detail, organization, and constant communication throughout the planning process helped us feel at ease and truly excited for the big day. And to Iliana, we are so grateful for her calm coordination, professionalism, and support on the wedding day itself—she made everything run effortlessly.
The entire Celestine team helped create an atmosphere that was both elegant and welcoming, and we’ll always remember how special the day felt. Celestine will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We couldn’t recommend this venue more highly to any couple looking for a stunning space, incredible food, and a truly dedicated team! -

We had the most perfect intimate wedding at Celestine—truly the celebration we had always dreamed of. From the stunning location to the breathtaking views, everything about this venue was magical. Our wedding photos turned out absolutely gorgeous, with the natural beauty of the space serving as the perfect backdrop.
The Celestine team was an absolute joy to work with. They were incredibly organized, communicative, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the planning process and especially on the big day. When we decided to make a few small adjustments to the ceremony last-minute, the team went above and beyond to accommodate us seamlessly.
The restaurant itself is so beautiful that it hardly needs any extra décor. The atmosphere speaks for itself—warm, elegant, and intimate. And the food was amazing. Every dish was outstanding. Multiple guests told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. The steak was such a hit, even one of our vegetarian guests couldn’t resist trying it!
We wholeheartedly recommend Celestine to anyone looking for an intimate Brooklyn wedding with amazing food, stunning views, and a truly supportive team behind the scenes. We feel so lucky to have celebrated our day here! -

The best venue for smaller wedding in NYC!
If you are having an intimate wedding, this is the best venue in all of NYC. Beautiful patio and sliding windows for indoor/outdoor space for warm weather weddings. Cozy space, but never feels crowded. The best wedding food we have ever had! Great bar menu for drinks, and the staff was unbelievable. Over the top communicative and flexible with the requests/changes that we made along the way. Cannot recommend enough! Thank you Nisrine and Rose for everything! -

Celestine is an exceptional wedding venue. Not only is the restaurant and outdoor patio absolutely stunning, with direct views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges and NYC skyline, but the service, staff, attention to detail, and communication are superb!
My husband and I got married here in October 2024 and were blown away by how amazing it was. Thank you Nisrine and Rose, as well as the whole Celestine team, for making our special day so incredibly perfect and seamless. Every single detail was accounted for, the decor was beautiful, the grand piano was unbelievable, the food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the weather—wow! We could not have asked for a more perfect and magical day.
We’ve also received endless compliments from our guests that it was their favorite wedding they’ve ever been to—classy, chic, intimate, and romantic! Everyone had a wonderful time and we are just so thankful to have chosen them to host us! We would recommend Celestine a million times over! 5++++ stars! ✨ -

We had our wedding at Celestine in October 2024 and it was the perfect day. We wanted an intimate experience (50 guests) and Celestine was the best choice for this. The restaurant is absolutely stunning and many of our guests have commented that it was the dreamiest venue that they have seen.
We worked with Nisrine, Rose, and Krystle who were all so helpful and attentive throughout our entire planning process. The entire timeline was executed seamlessly and we were able to fully enjoy our wedding without having to worry about anything. We can't speak highly enough of Celestine - the food, drinks, and staff all exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the whole team for everything! -

The Perfect Wedding!
We are so happy we found Celestine and could host our wedding there!
When we first came across this venue, we instantly knew that it ticked all of our boxes. The views of the Manhattan Bridge and the downtown Manhattan skyline are gorgeous, the Mediterranean-style food is fantastic, and the staff is professional and attentive.
We visited several times before the wedding to sample the menu and treat friends and family to a great time, and we were consistently impressed with the quality and the service.
Working with the Celestine events team, Nisrine, Kirsten, and Krystle, was a breeze. During the entire period leading up to the wedding, we were in constant contact and had several meetings, which made us able to relax throughout the process, knowing that everything was completely under control. We had our separate day-of coordinator who integrated seamlessly with the Celestine team, and Krystle, our Celestine coordinator, on the wedding day.
Once the big day came around, we could not have been more prepared and at ease. Everything worked and turned out as beautiful and perfect as we had hoped! Many of our guests have said (and are still telling us!) that this was one of the best weddings they have ever been to, with many of their compliments directed towards the venue, food, and staff.
Among all the other wedding venues in DUMBO, Celestine stands out as a true gem. It has everything we could have wished for in a very intimate, beautiful setting that will leave memories for a lifetime and have us coming back for more! -

My husband and I chose Celestine to host our wedding celebration dinner because of the world class views and proximity to our home. I had eaten there before and knew the food was good. Still, we never would have guessed our experience would have been as good as it was. Nisrine and Kirsten guided us through the process. They were so professional and accommodating. So relaxed yet most certainly on top of things. From the start we knew we were in good hands. They made our night a near perfect event (Mother Nature was the only thing they couldn’t control). From the delicious food, helping us line up a vendor for the florals (which were absolutely lovely), perfect service, making notes as to who had the vegan plates, which tables had the people using wheelchairs, assisting with the playlists, working with our photographer, EVEN going so far as to call our hotel to see if we could get early check-in, which we did! More than one person told me that it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a party. I wholeheartedly concur. What a joy that for the rest of our lives, we’ll have this perfect night to look back on. Thank you Celestine, Nisrine, Kirsten and the whole crew! -

Outstanding food,drinks and service. Simply devine!
I am long overdue on this review but we had the most wonderful and attentive experience at this
beautiful restaurant when celebrating my son and daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner. The menu was complicated because we are vegetarians and the catering director and the entire crew were so welcoming and adept the food/drinks was beyond delectable and creative. The staff was superb, generous and patient. I would absolutely patronize them again and I have recommended this establishment to others. No better place for sure. We hit it out of the park! My husband and I got married at Celestine in October 2023. We absolutely fell in love with this restaurant for its extremely warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with its prime location right next to the Manhattan Bridge and the waterfront.
The food is to die for. We visited for Valentine's day 2023 to initially try the menu, before having our formal tasting in September. Picking between the different items and drinks on the menu was probably one of the hardest decisions for our entire wedding!
When the sun sets, the candlelight and warm interior gives you such a warm and fuzzy feeling. The team at Celestine is fantastic, always quick to communicate with us and never shying away from an evening planning call. We worked closely with Kirsten from Celestine, who also doubled as our event/day-of coordinator - which is included in the fee. She was amazing in the run up and even on the day, making sure everything ran like clockwork.
When it began to rain right as our ceremony was due to start, Kirsten and her team smoothly and quickly moved everything inside and although we weren't able to use their breathtaking patio, our wedding was just as - if not more - special indoors.
We have already said that we will go back and have dinner there for our first anniversary. We had 57 people in attendance and that felt perfect for the space. The package includes up to 70 people, but with our preferred table arrangement and wanting to fit a three-piece band in, our guest count fit just right.
We honestly cannot speak highly enough of the venue, food, drinks, or staff. Extremely friendly and genuinely the best night of our lives. -

An A+ Experience
We had an incredible experience from start to finish having our wedding at Celestine. Not only is the food a guaranteed hit, but the Nisrine and her entire team were truly with us every step of the way steering us in the right direction and accommodating any needs we had.
Even on our rain-soaked wedding day, the views and vibes from Celestine were impeccable and made our wedding day an event that truly exceeded our expectations. Would recommend to anyone! -

Stunning venue, delicious food
My partner and I were intrigued with Celestine when we saw the pictures, and fell in love when we stopped by to see it in person. The view is unparalleled, and they have a beautiful patio and floor to ceiling windows to take it all in. The decor is so elegant, modern, and romantic, that we actually didn't make any changes or additions for our day, and the food was out of this world, as many of our guests mentioned to us throughout the night. The planning process was simple, direct, and it was a pleasure to work with Nisrine and the rest of the staff. It's definitely an expensive venue, but given the view, the food, and how simple and easy it was to plan, we are ultimately extremely glad to have chosen Celestine and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and truly beautiful wedding venue. -

My wife and I just had our wedding at Celestine a couple weeks ago. We couldn't have been happier with the way everything turned out. The ambiance, food, drinks and level of service were all phenomenal. Everyone raved about the food and views! We've been to a good amount of weddings in the past, and we can't recall the staff being this attentive and friendly - it was noticed by our guests also.
Kirsten, the senior event coordinator at Celestine, was great and very easy to work with leading up to the wedding, and of course during the actual wedding. We were dealing with possible rain and AQI issues, but Kirsten worked with us and helped us come up with alternate options. Thankfully we didn't need them during the wedding day! We highly recommend Celestine as a wedding venue.

NYC Perfection
We fell in love with Celestine as soon as we walked in through the door, and continue to love it almost 2 years after our initial reservation to see the space. Nisrine and her crew coordinated our small wedding reception flawlessly. From the first email, Nisrine was more than happy to discuss options with us to work within our budget and unusual timeframe (weekday lunch reception), and ultimately, the staff at Celestine went well above and beyond what we discussed and imagined would be the final product. In the end, all we needed to add to the venue were some small decorations/flowers, a photographer, and a DJ--Celestine knocked the rest out of the park. Firstly, the food: divine mediterranean fare that is contemporary, clean, and light on the stomach, which you need if you're going to dance! We opted for stations which were continuously filled until everyone had enough (and I know guests went back for multiple rounds). The meat, fish, and vegetables were as fresh and delicious as when you order them for a regular dinner at Celestine, and dessert was perfect. And their mezze spreads remain the best I have ever had. Now, the drinks: well made, not overly heavy on alcohol, tasty, and with plenty of options for everyone across the spectrum including non-alcoholic mixed drinks, coffees, teas, and soft drinks, and water. Servers passed drinks around continuously, so you never had to look far to get something, which many folks really appreciated, and there were two bar setups in the space (indoor and outdoor). The service was smooth and required nothing from us. Robert kept the day flowing perfectly, coming to let us know when it would be time for food and speeches, etc and would check in periodically to make sure things were going well. We were free to otherwise enjoy our day, which means the world on a day like that. We love the staff at Celestine, they are always so warm and gracious, and their hospitality is what sold us in the first place. Finally, the venue itself: floor to ceiling windows with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, situated right on the East River waterfront and steps away from the DUMBO TimeOut Market and Brooklyn Bridge Park and Carousel for awesome photos. The space itself is clean, contemporary, and feels much bigger than its actual footprint, which can still accommodate many guests in addition to stations and a dance floor. It's air-conditioned for the summer, but the windows can also be opened for a nice day. There are some downsides as it is still a NYC restaurant--you will hear the subway if windows are open, there's small bathrooms (which may be a limiting step, although we didn't find it much of an issue), and the nearby park means that the public will be around, depending on the time and day. Overall, we love Celestine. It's an absolute gem and a steal for the price, and most importantly, the team is wonderful and works to ensure your entire planning process and day is stress-free. And they deliver! This NYC couple is forever grateful for the perfect NYC reception. -

Magical Venue with Breathtaking Views
Like many people here, my fiance and I were out to dinner at Celestine and said "hey, we should get married here." Fast-forward a couple of emails and a few months later and we were married at Celestine! Nisrine and the whole Celestine crew made everything from the planning to the menu tasting a breeze and went above and beyond to make our wedding incredibly special and stress-free. Seriously, they made our 97 person wedding stress-free - they're miracle workers! If you are thinking of having an intimate wedding in Brooklyn we cannot recommend Celestine enough. The views are breathtaking, the food is even better, and the whole team will make you feel so special and well taken care of. -

Let me begin by saying that we had gotten dinner at Celestine on a random night and during our meal, I looked up straight at my fiancé and said "We have to have our wedding here." He quickly responded with an "Absolutely." This restaurant has just the most incredible panoramic view of the Manhattan bridge and the food was just next level. During the entire planning process, Nisrine was incredibly helpful and always available to answer any questions we had. Neither my (now) husband and I are particularly good planners and we didn't have a wedding coordinator/planner with us but Nisrine helped us every step of the way, setting up meetings, sending us timelines, and checking in on us during the process. Robert was our day-of coordinator and he was spot on making sure that we had nothing to worry about the day of our wedding - organizing everyone to their seats but also keeping us in the loop for the next item in our timeline. The staff was so warm and friendly, and all the food and drinks came out in a perfect timing manner! The whole evening was incredible and I'm so happy to have picked Celestine as the venue for our wedding!! -

Absolutely perfect
We got married on 10/17/21 and had the absolute best experience at Celestine. We decided to re-schedule our reception last minute in June after having had indefinitely postponed due to Covid, and I’m so glad we did. Nisrine was so easy to work with, and was extremely laid back and let us lead in the planning process. Celestine took care of nearly everything, and were extremely flexible with bringing outside food like late night pizza. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of like most wedding venues we had spoken with, where every tiny extra thing costs more $$$. I felt like we got more value than we originally thought and I was so, so happy with how everything turned out. The food and drinks were incredible, the views were gorgeous, the sound guy Brent was easy to work with, and the staff is AMAZING. Our friends went on and on about how lovely everyone was (shoutout to Lu!). No one was ever without a drink or food, and we felt so well taken care of. Nisrine planned most of the event and Robert was our on-site coordinator the day of, and they both knocked it out of the park. The day was perfect and we can only hope we’ll get to attend another wedding at Celestine in the future! -

We had our wedding at Celestine in July 2021 with around 50 guests and had such an amazing experience. The planning process was very easy and our coordinator was always responsive to our questions and flexible about changes throughout. One nice thing is that the venue is a mix of indoor and outdoor space, so we had a few different options for the ceremony that we walked through, all of which would have worked well. And you can't beat the views of the Manhattan bridge during the ceremony and reception! We went with the venue's own decoration which was nice for cutting down on costs and stress, and everything looked beautiful.
We loved all of the food and drinks. My friend just posted on Instagram that she tried to recreate one of the salads from our wedding at home, so I would say the food was a big success! I have a severe allergy to sesame seeds, and the team was so great about guaranteeing a sesame-free menu despite it being a Mediterranean restaurant that uses tahini in a lot of dishes. We loved the menu that we worked on together and everything came out delicious.
During the wedding, my husband and I were able to completely sit back and relax and enjoy our meal while the team seamlessly transitioned between events. We had a perfect day and I can't recommend Celestine enough for an intimate celebration with incredible views, great food and drinks, and charming, helpful staff! -

Months later, we are still reveling in the best day of our lives and all that the staff of Celestine did to make our wedding day a dream. Celestine’s staff’s level of attentiveness and professionalism are beyond measure. Since the beginning, Rachel, Celestine’s Event Coordinator went above and beyond to ensure that our vision became a reality. Rachel’s timeliness, flexibility, and kindness helped put an anxious bride and groom’s minds at ease. Like all couples we wanted great food, great drinks, and a beautiful venue. Instead Celestine provided INCREDIBLE food and drinks, and a JAW DROPPING venue with a view that left our guests gob smacked. Our family and friends can not stop talking about the menu…one friend said, “it’s the only wedding I’ve been to that I wanted to ask for a doggy bag.” As for the drinks, the lavender margaritas and turmeric gin and tonics were a huge hit and are still a topic of conversation. Again, thank you for your impeccable service and for helping us create a day that we will forever treasure. -

First of all, I would like to say that I never leave reviews anywhere but I'm making an exception for Celestine because of how amazing they were. I had the most perfect wedding at Celestine in May, thanks to the amazing Rachel who is the event coordinator. She was so professional and kind throughout the whole wedding planning process. She was also very understanding of last-minute changes and my busy schedule. On the day of the wedding, she kept me so calm and stress-free during such a hectic day. Her calming energy was just what I needed on my wedding day. I can't say enough positive things about her! Food and drinks were amazing as well. My guests loved that it was unique and different from the typical wedding food they're used to. Since I don't drink alcohol, they were very accommodating and had non-alcoholic beverages as well, which were so pretty. They also provided vegetarian dishes for a few of my guests including my brother who said that it was the best vegetarian food he's ever had. The plating was also impeccable. And then the view. It is absolutely beautiful during the day and just breathtaking at night. All my guests, especially the ones from out of state, raved about the view. I still can't believe that I had the most beautiful view of the Manhattan bridge as the backdrop of my wedding ceremony. I could go on and on about this venue. If you're planning a small wedding, this is THE perfect venue for you. Even though the venue may seem small, there is space for everything, including the dance floor and photo booth. We stumbled upon Celestine while looking for a venue for our 80 person guest list wedding. We wanted good food, a responsive staff and space for dancing. Celestine, and notably, Rachel our event coordinator, helped us accomplish those goals and more! Rachel is kind, calming and caring. She was always available to answer questions, listen to my crazy ideas, and make our wedding dreams come true! We had last minute rain on our wedding day - which was handled impeccably by Rachel and her team. By that time, I had my best friend from HS calling me to give me the situation and I literally asked to speak to Rachel rather than my bff, because I knew she would do the best thing after months of talking about plans. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food and drinks were and how fun our wedding was. All this before mentioning the insane location right next to the Manhattan bridge! Book your walk through now, you will not regret it!! -

I cannot begin to express how PERFECT my wedding was this past April at Celestine. Between the wonderful staff and beautiful skyline of the Brooklyn/Manhattan Bridges and NYC skyline, I could not have asked for a more amazing experience. Rachel and Casey were both so accommodating with the layout of the space and flexibility with my menu requests. Beautiful, special place for a wedding celebration!
Celestine was such a perfect place for our wedding celebration! The view was gorgeous, the food was amazing, and our guests are still talking about the great time they had! Celestine worked with us closely on planning and coming up with ideas. The staff were so pleasant and fun and the day of. They came up with little surprises that were so special! I would absolutely recommend Celestine for any special event. -

We made the last minute decision to host a small ceremony and dinner to replace our large destination wedding that was canceled. We had celebrated our first anniversary at Celestine so were thrilled when they agreed to let us host our nuptials there as well! Rachel was a dream to work with and never had a single negative thing to add to any of our requests. She even helped with all of the day of set up which really took a lot of stress off of myself as we had opted out of a wedding coordinator. The venue was breathtaking and the food was phenomenal! All of our guests were raving about the views and the eats for weeks afterwards! The staff the night of our event were the most kind and friendly people I've ever encountered. They even helped out my mom who was not feeling her best that day. If there is anything holding you back from booking Celestine, do yourself a favor and at least visit in the evening. You will not be disappointed! -

My wife and I got married on Sunday June 13, 2021 at the Prospect Granite section in Brooklyn Bridge Park and we were looking for the perfect space to host our brunch. We were looking for a simple and elegant spot and Celestine's delivered. Not only is the view breathtaking, but the food and service were quality. Our communication with Nisrine as we planned this special reception was amazing. From the menu to the details they made sure we were comfortable and they were extremely accommodating. My guests are still talking about the food! I would not only recommend this place, but I would do another event here. We had a wonderful experience on our perfect day! -

I planned a micro wedding in about two weeks. It was a perfect evening and could not have been possible without the team at Celestine. Nisrine, who is in charge of events was so lovely. She really went above and beyond and made sure to check in often. Additionally she made a bridal check list, and even saved the day with her last minute thinking!
It was supposed to be a terribly rainy day and we had planned for an out door ceremony. That weekend Celestine just finished setting up a lovely green house and allowed us to say our vows in there before opening.
The whole evening was so magical. The views at Celestine are breathe taking, and the food and cocktails are amazing. I will always think of this restaurant so fondly, and hope to visit again soon! The whole staff is sweet. They took great care of everyone. Additionally they did a great job of being careful and safe during Covid. -
