Winter park wedding
Aj was amazing!! This is my 10000⭐️ star review. He’s easy to work with kept the party going he was a great host. I tell him what i want him to play he plays it . Very professional. I recommend this DJ company 100%. Affordable, great vibe, great company, great person. I cannot express how happy i am i found celebrity DJ as my wedding dj♥️ -

They were very detailed with every moving part in our wedding. We appreciated the written out “Consultation Questionnaire” that really helped put the whole day together and what to expect.
Our wedding wasn’t full of dancing but everywhere the music mattered was perfect! -

This was the second time our family has utilized Celebrity DJ's services after a family friend had recommended them. Once again, we were so happy with how everything turned out! AJ was great to work with, responsive, and made payment simply and easy. Chris was absolutely amazing. He made the whole event run smoothly with music. He provided music before guests arrived, played all the songs during the ceremony we wanted and made it all so smoothly. He did a great job with the grand entrance, our first dance, cake cutting, father daughter dance, and kept the party going. He was very well organized and was able to change things on the fly. Highly recommend! -

We used Aj for our wedding at flying horse ranch and let me tell you, this guy knows what he is doing! I have never danced or had more fun in my life. Aj did great at handling song requests and following the crowd. I am not lying when I say we danced for 3.5 hours straight because of Aj. He did such a fantastic job, and I am so glad he was there to make my day special. He is great at responding, and sends out a great questionnaire to get to know all about what you want. He was awesome. All my guests loved him and said he was the best Dj they have seen at a wedding yet. Thank you for everything AJ! -

The first impression I had of AJ was that he knew what he was doing. On wedding day, I learned that this sort of thing can really help ease stress. There wasn't a question AJ didn't know the answer to, and not a thing he wasn't willing to help with. Even when we had to "heard the cats," he kept his smile on. I loved how he knew what songs fit in with the night, and how to keep the party going. He did a fantastic job. -

Celebrity DJ came highly recommended to us from our venue. Communication and booking with AJ went flawlessly, he is very friendly and professional. Chadwick was our DJ on the big day and did an excellent job helping us plan the schedule and create our playlists. He gave great recommendations for both as we weren’t too sure what we wanted. He was so friendly and kind and went completely out of his way to help us with an issue unrelated to his duties. He also recommended open toasts which we hadn’t thought about and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the night. Thank you celebrity DJ! Such a great value and experience. -

We hired them for our wedding and they hardly played any of the songs we spent hours choosing for our playlist for “OUR” wedding. They were also training someone during our wedding (so unprofessional) so they were making a lot of mistakes with the music and sound. They even unplugged their equipment by accident during the cutting of the cake because they were so inexperienced causing silence for like 5 minutes and couldn’t seem to get the music on again. I was so embarrassed and angry at the same time! I would not hire them for your special day! When we told the owner of our concerns after the wedding he didn’t even care or offer a resolution he just said sorry you feel that way. I left the terrible video on my review for them on Yelp where you can see their work in action! Absolutely Awful 😣Celebrity DJ's reply:
I was so sorry to read of your perception of your experience with Celebrity DJ. As a Better Business Bureau accredited business who has been operating in Southern Colorado for 17+ years (and with thousands of weddings under our belt) I highly doubt "inexperienced" is a word that can be used to describe Celebrity DJ. We have had so many rave reviews (over 100 5-star reviews on this site alone) and have been doing this for so long that there are no fewer than 6 venues in Colorado who offer us as the DJ in their all inclusive wedding packages. We are also a preferred vendor at the 5-star Broadmoor Hotel so guests can book with confidence knowing they are getting a DJ who knows what they are doing.
As a growing company that finds ourselves in a situation where the demand for our DJ's exceeds the supply, we are constantly training new staff at weddings and, until they're 100% trained, they don't perform at weddings (and the DJ who was being trained under the watchful eye of YOUR DJ had no impact on the day whatsoever as he was only observing) The DJ you DID have has been with Celebrity DJ for over a decade so certainly no lack of experience there.
With regard to your cake-cutting song not being played at the moment of the cake cutting, it was a simple outlet malfunction at the venue you chose (a building that is over 100 years old) that cut the power to our speaker hence rendering us momentarily unable to play your song. As the video you posted on Yelp clearly shows, as soon as the venue director cued us to play the song, the music was on. Quick thinking on the part of the DJ lead him to realize that the outlet was faulty, he quickly moved the super portable sound system to another outlet, and music was restored.
When the groom reached out to us after the reception, I let him know I was already made aware of the problem during cake cutting and the faulty outlet and apologized for that happening (even though it wasn't our fault that the venue had a bad outlet) I shared the following text with him:
"...I was made aware of an issue during the cake cutting where the song cut off because the power outlet we were plugged into was faulty. Beyond that, the DJ indicated that everything went smoothly, The venue director indicated that everything went smoothly, and the DJ even told me that you came up to him at the end of the night and said great job and that you would leave us a good review. Interested to find out why the disconnect. Feel free to text or email back.
The groom responded:
"...I’m glad that you were made aware of the issue during the cake cutting because that was the biggest problem."
I heard nothing back from the groom and the only other correspondence was the negative review you posted on Google and WeddingWire. I struggle to see how you can come away with the idea that I (the owner) "didn't even care or offer a resolution he just said sorry you feel that way" I have dated and time stamped text evidence that those words were never uttered."
I asked the DJ who was there that day for a re-cap and here is what he shared:
"..We arrived on time, started prelude music on time. Ceremony went well with no issues. Cocktail hour and dinner also went smoothly with no hiccups. 30 seconds into cake cutting, the outlet connection caused the speaker to short/shut off. We fixed as soon as possible, speaker came back on in the middle of the song (music was out for about 30 seconds). All other festivities and dances went according to plan. There was 80 mins of dance time, during which we played 18/32 of the songs requested, and accommodated 5 guest requests at times when B & G and most of the guests were away from the dance floor. We played 100% of prelude music and 100% of cocktail music. At the end of the night, the groom said "Thank you, everything was great, we will leave you a good review".
I continue to struggle to understand the disconnect between the actions and words of the groom on your wedding day and the negative review posted online.
I am sorry that this was your experience with Celebrity DJ where we pride ourselves on delivering 5-star service to our clientele. Apparently what we have done thousands of times for thousands of satisfied clients fell short of your expectations and for that, we apologize.
