We have big families and not only needed space but we wanted it to look amazing as well when seating 300 people! Celebrations was very organized, transparent, and collaborative when working with us. We live 1 hour away so our scheduled meetings were able to be done over zoom. When doing taste testing, they have scheduled nights where you can taste the food and design your own decorations exactly how you want it; very hands on! Kayla, the programer we worked with, was very supportive, answered all of my questions and was nothing but on top of things. Everyone has shared with us how fun and amazing the night was and it wouldn’t have been without Celebrations and Kayla! I wouldn’t have changed a single thing! -

Our wedding at Celebrations on the River was absolutely amazing! First, they made the planning process so easy. The tasting and decor sampling day was a fun experience that made us feel comfortable that our day would include everything we could ever want. Then, working with Kayla during meetings on our “wedding bible” made us feel confident that no detail would be missed. Finally, our actual wedding day was what we hoped for and so much more. First, my girls and I got ready in their beautiful bridal suite. The hair and makeup artists were so impressed with the set up. The groom and his guys were able to play poker in their suite while waiting to get dressed. Then, our reception went so perfectly thanks to the team. Kayla kept everything on track and the bartenders kept the drinks flowing. The food received rave reviews by all our guests. The space was even more beautifully decorated than I could have hoped for. It was the perfect day. If you are looking for an amazing wedding venue, I highly recommend Celebrations on the River. -

The day was absolutely perfect. From the weather to the last dance of the night. Celebrations knocked it outta the park and made my dream come true. Above and beyond our expectations. Food was good, bridal suite was amazing but ac wasn't working in the suite and it was 86 degrees outside and trying to get ready was a challenge. Tye ac wasn't able to get it fixed that day but it wasn't there fault. We did the best we could. The service, the decorations, the bartenders, the wedding planner, the DJ, the cupcakes and cake, the appetizers, the late night snack, the groom suite, the atmosphere. It was all perfectly put together. They are amazing people to work with and I highly recommend Celebrations on the River for your wedding venue and ceremony. -

Beautiful Venue Excellent Service
We had the most perfect wedding at Celebrations on the River. We are most definitely bias, but the venue and staff made it amazing. We booked Center Court with Kayla. The venue very comfortably hosted 250 guests & Kayla was amazing to work with. Being able to rent their decorations and not having to buy our own, set them up, or tear them down was a large reason why we booked. After the wedding we are so happy we didn’t have that hassle, so worth it! -

We celebrated our wedding at Celebrations this past weekend and it exceeded all of our expectations to say the least! It was the best day of our lives. All of the staff were super accommodating and did everything they could to make sure our day was as stress-free as possible. Our favorite comment we received was "Can you guys get married every weekend?" trust me, we would if we could.😂 The decor, food, venue, and staff were incredible and I defiantly recommend them for anyone that is getting married. We had our wedding at Celebrations this past weekend at the River Park venue. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. There are planning meetings throughout the process and Ann was AMAZING at making my vision for the day come to life. We received so many compliments from our guests on how gorgeous the venue was. Throughout the night people commented on how delicious the food was, and the attentiveness of the staff. We chose one of the VIP packages and it was truly worth every penny. All the vendor options are vetted by the venue and were awesome. Many guests commented that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. If you are looking for a venue look no further! The entire Celebrations staff will make sure your wedding is picture perfect!! -

I cannot say enough about Celebrations on the River. This venue, and staff, played a major role in making my wedding day as perfect as it was. From the options they offered, to regular check-ins, to customer service; this place does it all! Ann and her team are absolutely amazing and so attentive! They truly care about each of their brides/grooms and strive to make each moment magical. Any time I had any questions or hesitations, they were there for me. They made sure that day of, I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing they had every detail covered. The venue itself is so versetile with outdoor and indoor options, waterfront views, spectacular interior design, and both bride and groom suites. I had so many of my guests tell me that our wedding was the best they have been to, and I owe it to the Celebration's team. From the moment we walked into Celebrations on the River, we knew this was our place. Their focus is weddings, and it shows!! The food was delish - we did a Sunday morning breakfast buffet and it was so much fun! Everyone, from the owner down to the gal who ran us through rehearsal, was so helpful and kind. They did an amazing job helping us put the perfect centerpieces to match my flowers together. The facility and the grounds are beyond beautiful - we love that we got married on the Mississippi River and would recommend Celebrations as a venue in a heartbeat! -

I cannot say enough great things about Celebrations on the River! My husband and I got married in the Center Court venue and it was the most BEAUTIFUL venue ever. Ann and her staff went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process as well as the day of. They set up and tear down everything which allowed for us to focus on getting married and enjoying every second of the day. THIS VENUE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!! I have gotten countless compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue was, how great everything was handled (food, moving of tables, bartending, etc.), the food, and the staff!! We can't say thank you enough for the awesome staff at Celebrations! They were so easy to work with during all the planning for our big day. Our day so was perfect, I don't know how it could have gone any better!!! The venue itself is absolutely amazing!!!!!! I can honestly say the Friday and day of the wedding were stress free because of all the wonderful staff there to help make the day perfect for us. The rehearsal dinner was delicious along with our wedding dinner!!! A huge should out and Thank You Ann Myhre for working with us so easily and being flexible!!! She is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend Celebrations on the River for anyone considering it for an event. Our daughter and son-in-law held their wedding reception there this past Saturday in the River Park space (banquet hall and 3 season room). The day of the event was wonderful. It went way beyond my expectations.
Our guests raved about what a great place it was for the reception. It was beautifully decorated, clean and had lots of spaces for guests to enjoy during the evening including the 3 season room and the beautifully lit areas on the terrace and around the fire pit. (It was a little dark in the 3 season room, it might be nice to add some lamps or other lighting.) The women of the bridal party enjoyed the luxury of the bridal suite. It made the day just a little more special to have that space. We had lots of room for dancing which was good as the dance floor was full most of the night.
On the day of the event, Rebekka, our event planner during the reception, was a rock star! She and the rest of the staff were friendly, attentive and very responsive. They exceeded my expectations in setting up and monitoring our s’more bar and apple nacho station to ensure it was well stocked all night. They were prompt at picking up at tables. Some guest might say too quick at cleaning up, as they wanted to go back to the banquet hall for seconds, but plates and silverware had already been picked up. Guests did enjoy the late night pizza which was very good. Speaking of food, the guests gushed about the melt in your mouth ham, the delicious garlic mashed potatoes and the tasty couscous. Yum!
I appreciated that Celebrations had décor package options. It was great that we could have them do the majority of the decorating and we could focus on some areas that we wanted to personalize with our own decor. Also, having the security of a card slot and an option to lock up gifts overnight was really nice.
Last, but not least I want to recognize Ann, Director of Events. She is the best! She is knowledgeable, fun and responsive. She helped us navigate through the process and had great suggestions. She was able to paint a picture of what the day might look like and she delivered on that plan. She answered all of my questions and there were many. She was quick to reply to emails and always got back to us when she said she would. She was also on site the day of the event to make sure things went smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Highly Recommend Celebrating at Celebrations
From start to finish, all I can say is WOW. My husband and I began looking for a venue in the La Crosse area back in August of 2018 and fell in love with the River Park venue, it was the perfect size, colorful changeable lights, and a separate buffet room that aided in the flow of our guests getting their food. The bridal suite was elegant and quite handy for getting ready and storing our items. Behind the three seasons room the trees are wrapped with lighting that adds an element of enchantment.
What sealed the deal on us choosing this fantastic location was Ann, Director of Events. Her enthusiasm personality, and passion for making dream weddings come through truly showed from our first meeting. She was caring and listening to our needs to make our vision a reality. She had good suggestions from her past experiences that helped make our reception go smoothly.
Celebrations on the River helps with set up and take down, which I cannot tell you how thankful I am for that, I have been in weddings were we need to do set up and take down and it is a scramble to get it done before the wedding and is highly stressful. Not with Celebrations, they had everything set long before we arrived and was stunning, my bridesmaids noted it was breath-taking walking in. We only needed to add our own décor that gave it our personal touch. We did their dream décor package and was so glad. They had several options for décor which help us save on time, money, and storage space on trying to find our own.
Ann, Rebecca, and other staff members were amazing throughout the reception, they were attentive and responsive to our guests and the wedding party. They gave us a sense of relieve and ease as they were on top of every detail. If there were issues or hiccups in our schedule, I would never have been able to tell. We had planned to do our grand march from the main entrance to the dance floor and we noticed prior to the reception, that the tables were going to be too close for my wedding dress to fit down. Ann noticed this as well and let us know that they would move the table to ensure there would be plenty of room. When we returned after the ceremony, there was more than enough room for us to walk down while still ensuring our guests comfortable seating.
Throughout the whole night, my husband and I were told by our guests what a beautiful venue Celebrations is and how this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to and I give credit for these compliments to the Celebrations venue and wonderful staff. We could not have asked for a better wedding experience and highly recommend Celebrations on the River for your wedding venue. -

My husband and I recently got married at Celebrations on the River in Lacrosse, WI. We have so many amazing things to say about this place, I don't even know where to begin... From the first day that we toured this venue, we knew that it was perfect for our wedding size and family vibe! We started meeting with Ann around our 3 month mark before the wedding. Ann is a ROCKSTAR! She answered all of our questions, and helped us to make our dream wedding vision REAL! She was extremely quick at responding, and always was willing to ease our mind when we had our moments of wedding planning stress. The day of our wedding was unbelievable! Everything was BEAUTIFUL and exactly what we imagined. Ann was there for our entire day and was making sure everything went well behind the scenes so that we didn't have to worry about a thing!! The food was incredible and we got so so so many compliments on our choice of venue! We had guests hanging around inside and outside all afternoon as it was beautiful no matter where you were. We cant thank the staff enough for making our day so perfect! -

Celebrations handled our wedding and made the day go so smoothly for us and our families! They handled set-ip and clean-up so that we didn’t have to lug things to and from the venue so people could just enjoy the day! We were going to have an outdoor ceremony, but it ended up being to cold so we went with the rainy-day backup plan that Celebrations provides and it all went without a hitch! Wonderful venue! -

Best venue, best day!
Celebrations on the river was such a great place to have our wedding! We actually wanted to get married there after attending a wedding there and having so much fun and seeing how gorgeous the location was! We got married and had our reception in Center Court which was absolutely breathtaking. There were so many different areas to be and hang out. The fire pit, dock, yard games, indoor or outdoor bar, dance floor. SO FUN! We got so many compliments from guests on all that there was to do! The planning process was so easy as they have everything you need in house, but they are also very accommodating if you want to bring anything of your own. Kayla, my wedding coordinator, was so attentive and on top of everything. The only downfall is that my coordinator changed just a couple weeks before my wedding and I wasn’t given a notice. That was the only “bump in the road,” if any.
The event that they host for food tasting and picking out decor was so helpful! We were never stressed during the wedding planning process and have the absolute best day on the day of. -

Celebrations on the River is a beautiful venue located right on the Black River on French Island outside of La Crosse! Celebrations help make it easy to plan a wedding with the ceremony and reception all in the same place. They prove couples with a Wedding coordinator and a list and timeline of the order in which things need to be done to make their wedding go smoothly. Couples have the best of both worlds, they can hold an outdoor ceremony while having their reception inside. Celebrations offers an outdoor photo pathway right next to the venue which provides a beautiful outdoor scene for wedding photographs. In addition, thousands of wedding decorations are available for couples to choose from to make their day special. The staff at Celebrations takes care of setting up and tearing down all the tables, setting up the food and desserts, organizing the shuttle bus to and from the venue, and also providing the bride and groom with a detailed list of recommended vendors in the La Crosse area. Weddings come with stress no matter what, but Celebrations try their best to have everything in place ahead of time. On the day of our wedding, it rained an hour before our ceremony and the staff were outside immediately once it stopped raining to dry off all the ceremony chairs. We had hundreds of compliments on the decorations we borrowed from Celebrations, as well as the stunning ceilings and wood floors in the River Park venue! One star off for a few mishaps in communication when we needed to change wedding coordinators three weeks before the wedding, but other than that Celebrations was great to work with! -

Winter Wedding at Celebrations!
We had both our ceremony and reception at celebrations and it was gorgeous and exactly what we had envisioned. The staff at Celebrations does all of the set up, take down, and decorations, it took so much stress off of my plate! The getting ready spaces were perfect and the food was incredible. If you are looking for a venue that is gorgeous and will take so much stress off your plate, chose celebrations!!
The one negative part was the rehearsal, it was horrible and I left crying. The staff person they had helping with the rehearsal was someone I never met before and did not know me or our wedding. My dad looked at me at one point while we were trying to line up and said "why does she not care about anything you have to say." I felt extremely disrespected and it was a disaster. The wedding day itself went very smoothly and was everything I could imagine but my bridesmaids had to assign someone to talk to her instead of me because she was so stressed the entire day and panicked and was adding that onto me and the other members of my bridal party. Ann and Adam are who I met with in the planning process and they were amazing and I highly recommend this venue and working with them but I am so glad a family friend came as my day of coordinator and took over on the wedding day so that I could have the day of my dreams and enjoy it unlike the rehearsal day. -

Couldn't have imagined a better day!
This venue was hands down the best decision we made during wedding planning! From the initial tour, Adam was straight up on costs, what was included, and the process of the whole wedding. Ann and her team did the most amazing job decorating and made the wedding process ENJOYABLE! Imagine that! It was smooth sailing from start to finish and I would do it 10x over again! On top of all of that, the pictures here are to die for. From the backyard feel with the tall twinkle lighted trees to the picture paths, you can't go wrong. -

Our wedding was the first wedding in the new Center Court venue at Celebrations on the River on Friday, August 30, 2019. We’ve been hearing each day since the wedding day that our wedding was “the best ever” or “EPIC.” Using Celebrations Center Court was certainly a component in making this happen. Several of our out-of-down guests were very surprised that La Crosse had something this elegant.
We selected Celebrations on Good Friday this year after viewing two other venues in La Crosse. To be honest we went in not considering this venue seriously, but selected it after a great tour with Ann and seeing how the banquet room, indoor/outdoor patio areas, and altar flowed together. We selected Center Court because it was available on a date we could get our band.
Our wedding was over the top and would certainly be a challenge for any venue. We were able to pull it off at Celebrations Center Court. We had 290 RSVPs, the band Slow No Wake (8 pieces), Elevate Media Group media production incorporating a video show with a transition to live video using 5 cameras, a pair of spot lights, special event lighting, confetti cannons, and a late-night visit from Bucky Badger with guests Jumping Around.
We admit we were nervous trying to pull off all the above, particularly when we learned we would be the first ones in a new venue. But it did go off at Celebrations. We are especially thankful for their tech person, Tim. He took great pride in his work and worked extra hard to make sure things with our various extras went off.
We enjoyed working with Ann and Kayla. And now that the weekend has passed, we are missing them. They were especially accommodating with our pre-visits and getting things setup due to the complexity of things. This included getting Elevate Media to coordinate their equipment with Celebrations and to run hundreds of yards of cabling for their cameras.
While we definitely recommend Celebrations, we recommend couples review pricing issues and changes in charges that can and did occur over time. We wanted to be especially conscientious about the open bar tab and front the anticipated amount. We never would have used our credit card for the open bar tab as we read the contract language indicating 3.9% charge added on all credit card payments. However, all three of us present understood from one of the last meetings that an open bar credit card payment would not be charged the fee on the tab, despite the contract language, when we were prepared to pay an estimated amount for the tab.
While we have no plans it all to do it all over again, we would certainly select Celebrations to help us throw another Epic wedding.

Day of was PERFECT, leading up to it -- not so much
Celebrations on the River is a beautiful venue in La Crosse, WI. We held our wedding for about 100 people on Saturday, 9/26 in the River Park venue.
Rehearsal the night before and the wedding day were perfect. Our guests could not stop complimenting us on how great the venue was. Kayla and Ann (and the rest of the staff) made sure that things day of were perfect, and as the couple getting married, we did not have to worry about a thing. One of the benefits of Celebrations is all the spaces that you get with your rental; our guest utilized the outdoor fire pit, patio, and 3-seasons room throughout the night.
Décor: River Park (and the included spaces) are beautiful and did not need much decoration, but we went with the Dream décor package and I encourage everyone that books there to do the same; they have many great center piece and décor options available. It made planning for the wedding day so much less stressful not having to worry about arts and crafts and transporting center pieces and decorations on the wedding day.
Food: After the test testing event, I was nervous about the food for the day of our wedding. There were only a few entrée and side options that we enjoyed during the tasting event. But day of, the food was phenomenal. Our guests could not stop raving about it. We went with beef tips and smothered grilled chicken alfredo with baby red mashed potatoes and honey & brown sugar glazed carrots. Staff served food in the buffet line and it went super quickly.
Bridal Suite/Groom Room: The bridal suite is gorgeous. There is plenty of space for the bridal party to get ready and relax in throughout the day. There are lockers with codes provided for folks to lock up throughout the day, and the suite itself locks to keep belongings safe throughout the day. The Groom room exists… it is located through the catering room/kitchen which was a bit odd. The room is small and nothing special, but had a tv and poker table and gave the guys a space to get ready in.
Bar: Overall, I think that the alcohol prices at Celebrations are a bit high in comparison to other venues that we looked at in the area. Because of COVID, our guest count was much less than we were expecting, so we decided to do the open bar. It was a fantastic decision and our guests enjoyed it. We did the standard option for 5 hours (5pm-10pm); I think that our guests got our monies worth.
Planning: I read all the reviews that existed for Celebrations before we booked with them. Everyone spoke so highly of Ann and Kayla and the support that they provided throughout the planning process, but that was not the experience we had. Maybe I had too high of expectations after reading reviews, or maybe it was because we were an out-of-state couple during COVID which made in-person planning meetings impossible. There didn’t seem to be much communication between Kayla and Ann, we would reach out via email to one with changes or updates to our plan, and then when we met with the other, those updates weren’t shared. It would have been helpful to have one direct contact throughout the process, instead of needing to work with both. It felt very much like we were our own wedding planning/coordinators. We had to reach out to schedule our planning meetings at 90 days, 30 days, and 10 days out; there really was no follow up on their end for planning. We would leave our planning meetings feeling more stressed out about the wedding than when we entered them. We were nervous about how things would turn out day of because the stress of planning with Ann and Kayla, but it all worked out.
Overall, Celebrations on the River is a great venue. Our wedding day was perfect and the River Park venue is beautiful, but the planning process with Kayla and Ann was stressful and could use some improvements. -

The whole place is beautiful - from the outdoor area to the Three Seasons room and the side patio, the altar, lighted trees, docks and of course the arcade right next door. The reception hall really does not need a lot of decorations as it has appeal by itself.
When we first met with Adam, it was great. We had a lot of questions and he was pretty much telling us everything we wanted to hear. After we paid the deposit, it was as if we were not important anymore. We booked January of 2016 and our wedding day was October 2017. I understand it is over a year, but the general way we were treated was completely disrespectful. All we wanted were answers to our questions. Through that timeframe, we went through 3-4 different wedding coordinators. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of any of them (until our last one) and Adam brushed off our concerns. Communication was extremely frustrating.
Ann ended up taking over around August (three months before our big day..!) and I cannot compliment her enough. She answered FAST and addressed all of our concerns, listened like she cared, and was FUN. She is spectacular. She gave her opinions and advice, something I am grateful for and our day went smoothly. Her assistants Haley and Rosie were also spectacular. They were charismatic and you could tell they wanted to make sure your day went well.
We had chosen the VIP package and I would say it was well worth it as it saved us time and money in the long run. We did not have to worry about centerpieces, silverware, time, runners, chair covers, or any other of the “extra” stuff. We just told Ann what we would like and she made I happen. We also decided to have a breakfast buffet and the majourity of it was incredibly delicious (especially the bacon and sausage gravy!) were too spicy but when we addressed it to Rosie, the kitchen made a new batch.

User3174782 Sent on 08/16/2017Please don't go here!! Besides management being awful, every event coordinator this business hires is an absolute disaster (current planner included). Though they pretend to be nice, they are a bit rude and condescending and will not hesitate to lie and take more money than deserved. Also, though I'm not a user myself, the current EP (brenna, she was fired awhile back then rehired) managed to smell of marijuana quite a bit of the time. No accusations...just fact that if you are going to use, keep it off company time! Never going here again and I will tell everyone to stay FAR away!
