We recently had our reception at The Wave Room located at Celebration Cinema North. It was a delightful surprise as we were not aware they had banquet facilities.

The venue was excellent and took care of all the details. April worked with us and answered all of our questions, leaving us feeling comfortable that everything would go as planned. We had the room with plenty of time to do set up prior to the wedding.

The only hiccup was when a line blew on the keg. But, they quickly took care of it and served bottled beer instead, charging us only for the keg pricing.

I would highly recommend a party at the Wave Room and will look to them again if I should have the need.

April Butler is great to work with. Very communicative. Only downside is having to use their approved caterers only. Other than that everything about Celebration Cinema was great.

We had our wedding reception at the Wave Room! They did a great job setting everything up just as we discussed and were very accommodating to everyone's needs. There coordinator April was awesome! She made everything a breeze. I honestly feel as thought she should be a wedding planner! She made everything so simply. The food there was very good! I was very impressed with the prices and quality of the food! I would highly recommend this venue!

My daughter grew up in Grand Rapids, but lives in New York. She chose to be married on July 16, 2011, in Grand Rapids which left most of the wedding details up to me. She came into town for several days so we could pick a venue, etc., etc. When we decided on The Wave Room, we had no idea how absolutely perfect our choice would be. From beginning to end, the event coordinator, April Butler, was a joy to work with, allowing us flexibility in our choices, quick responses to our questions, and helpful suggestions along the way, all without being pushy or arrogant. When the day arrived, she and her staff were on site making sure everything was just right, and quickly seeing to any details we requested. The room is a nice size for such an event, quiet considering it is located in a cinema complex, bright because of the wall of windows along one side, adaptable for themed events (ours was of a tropical nature), and kept in very good condition (nothing looked tacky). The food served was fresh, delicious, and attractive to eat. The hosted bar kept our guests supplied with refreshments without long lines. There was constant attentiveness to the bride and groom to make sure they were supplied with any needs as they made their way around the room to greet guests. April and staff provided us with everything possible to allow our entertainment to be top-notch, including supplying us with an overhead screen and DVD equipment to show videos and a picture montage. At the end of the night, the staff was extremely helpful in allowing us access to clean up and supplying us with carts and simple packaging for items such as pieces of cake. Even though the wedding has been over for two weeks, we are still hearing from wedding attendees raving about the wedding and incredible reception. Would we use the Wave Room again? YES, YES, YES!!!

We LOVED having our reception at the wave room! We had an 11AM service so it was more of a late lunch, but it was gorgeous to have the sunshine coming in from all the windows! We also appreciated the fact that the room felt more "home-like" and welcoming than some other venues we had toured with cathedral ceilings. April the co-ordinator was beyond helpful and made sure that we had everything taken care of well ahead of time. They only allow their catering company, but they do a fantastic job. Their prices are also reasonable, especially for the service provided!

Thank you for a great time, the food and drinks were great and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks again to April, she is the best!

Celebration Cinema's The Wave Room was a beautiful location for our reception. Many of our guests complimented on our reception location because it was so fun! It looked beautiful all set up. The catering provided was exceptional. There was a great variety of food options to choose from. Our dinner was delicious, and many of our guests commented on how good it was. I've worked in catering for 5+ years and the service that The Wave Room provided was by far some of the best I've seen. The staff was very friendly and professional. April, the Coordinator, was great to work with. She was very professional and organized with all of our details. Overall, we had an amazing day. The Wave Room gave us a beautiful reception location, excellent food, full bar, and many memories, all for a great price!

We had a great experience @ the Wave Room! I knew the minute I saw it I had to have both my wedding & my reception there. It is conveniently located and had plenty of parking! A plus for my guests they could go get Ice Cream! We had compliments on the food as well. Everything was hot and tasty! They offer a free tasting to people interested in using their catering service. We had such a great experience with them I have used their services for our business as well. I get the same service as I did on my wedding! I would definitely recommend them as a fun venue.

I was really excited when I found out that we would be having our reception at The Wave Room and it was everything I wanted it to be on that day. Everything looked great and the staff was more than willing to help when my mother-in-law was there in the morning trying to set up and get everything ready.

We had a great reception and didn't have to worry about a thing.

Great value, I just wish I would have had slightly more professional service for a wedding, but- the $1000 we saved on food allowed us to have a better honeymoon. And- the waveroom is really affordable.
April was good, but kind of hard to get ahold of. However- if you are going for a well planned out budget wedding- I do in fact reccomend this place.

Celebration! Catering provided the catering for my wedding off-site, including hors d'oeuvres and a plated dinner. The food was good, they were flexible about their menu, and the staff on the day was excellent. There were a few small glitches that I didn't expect, including that they did not have white tablecloths for rectangular tables, only for rounds, so we had to buy/rent tablecloths and skirts for our head and appetizer tables.

We had our reception at celebration cinemas wave room. Went for the tasting and everything was awesome. We went with the plated dinner, about $22 a person, and the food was awful. We had prime rib, it was overcooked and flavorless and not to mention they served it with A1 steak sauce?!?! Staff for catering absolutely was awful and didnt know what they were doing. Our second menu choice was this breaded chicken and I beleive it was like a mustard sauce, which during the tasting was amazing... not so much for our wedding.. it was awful and soggy. If you are having your wedding there I would suggest going with another catering service. Owe I did get an apology call from the chef.. wahoo. Nothing can change having awful food at your wedding.. its suppose to be your perfect day and the one thing I thought I could count on was good food and with Celebration catering that was definitely not the case. (the hors devours were good though, cheese and fruit haha)

Owe and I almost forgot... we did a cash bar for mixed drinks... the bar ran our of liquor because they forgot to order it for our wedding so they had like half bottles to start with. Seriously unorganized. :(

On another note working with a lady named April there was an absolute pleasure. As for setting up the room and everything that was all very nice. Excellent venue, awful catering.
