An Absolutely Wonderful Experience

Jessica went above and beyond. She is incredibly knowledgeable in her craft, she was quick to respond and answer questions, she even arrived early and helped where needed. Jessica took the time to really get to know my husband and I. She made the process to creating and scripting the ceremony so incredibly easy!! My guests thought Jessica, my husband and I, had been long time friends - that's how well she paid attention to us, our concerns and wishes. She created the perfect, unique ceremony for my husband and I and my guests raved at how beautiful it was. Words really cannot describe how incredible thankful and grateful we are to have had her officiate our wedding. THANK YOU Jessica!!!

Working with Jessica was a dream from start to finish. My husband and I were very nervous about finding an officiant who would reflect our somewhat non-traditional personal style, and accurately represent our relationship. As the ceremony is one of the most important parts of your wedding day, we wanted an officiant who would be able to execute the vibe we were looking for. It was of upmost importance for our ceremony to be personal, deep, and truly represent what marriage means to us. We immediately felt confident and at ease when we met Jessica. She listened to us and worked with us every step of the way to create exactly what we wanted. Jessica was very flexible and accommodating of our individual wishes for things we wanted to include in our ceremony, and things we did not. She provided us with such beautiful and meaningful reading selections to choose from. Jessica created a story about our relationship which was both heartfelt and lighthearted, without being cheesy. The ceremony was exactly what we dreamed of. Everyone loved it; we got so many compliments from our guests specifically about Jessica's performance and the ceremony content. They raved that it was unlike any ceremony they had ever attended. Thank you again, Jessica, from the bottom of our hearts for helping us to create something so personalized, meaningful, and unique. We cannot express how much it means to us.

Jessica is wonderful! We were so lucky to have her officiate our wedding! From the moment we met her, we felt like she is the one. She has such great energy and is so positive. We were looking for a non-religious ceremony, something not too heavy but at the same time traditional. My husband and I hadn't really thought about what we want to include in the ceremony and were a little nervous but during our first meeting Jessica spent time to go over every single detail of the ceremony and gave us guidance regarding what to include and what not to include (based on our feedback). She made us feel comfortable and assured us everything will be great. And it was!
Jessica made the process soooo easy: she sent us a questionnaire designed to help her create our love story, she sent us a ton of materials to help us with the vows and the readings, she provided the ceremony script in advance and made a few edits we requested in no time. Most importantly, she was very quick to answer any questions we may have.
The story she wrote was perfect, I cried when I read it. All the guests loved the ceremony and made comments on how wonderfully the love story was told!
Jessica was so easy to work with during those stressful times. You will see her more as an old friend rather than someone you just met. We highly recommend her, she really REALLY enjoys what she does and you will sense it the moment you meet her.

Jess was absolutely amazing!! My guests say that they have never seen or been a part of such an emotional, beautiful, and thoughtful ceremony. Jessica's words will bring you tears and oddly make it seem she has known you two forever! I am SO incredibly thankful my husband and I chose Jess. You will have the most memorable ceremony! Bring tissues!

We had a wonderful experience with Celebrated Ceremonies. Everyone is still saying how personal and special our ceremony way. Jessica was very attentive and helpful at all times. She wrote a wonderful love story to read at our ceremony. My husband is Jewish and I am Catholic and she was able to mix the two cultures very nicely. I would definitely recommend her.

Having Jessica officiate our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. From the first time we spoke to her, we got a great vibe. She was organized and professional. More importantly, she was easy to talk to and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Once we decided to book her, she sent us a questionnaire. The questions did take a while to answer, which was a good thing. It gave us an opportunity to really give her a sense of who we are (how we met, what we like to do together, etc). What makes Jessica special is how she turned those answers into a beautiful ceremony. It was well-written, very personal, and her delivery made it feel like she really knew us and cared about us. All of our guests loved our ceremony and mentioned specifically how great Jessica was. We highly recommend her!

My wife and I were very apprehensive asking someone we didn't know to marry us. Unfortunately, a family friend and a relative we had been counting on were unable to perform the ceremony. Jessica of Celebrated Ceremonies was the first person we spoke with and we immediately felt a real connection, noticed her professionalism, and most importantly, we realized that Jessica really cared and was passionate about joining our lives together.

She helped my wife, Carolyn, write vows that were beautiful and she helped me edit down my novel-length set of vows. Although we had only spoke with her once via Skype, Jessica's ceremony had every guest thinking she had known is for years.

Months later and into a happy marriage, when our family and friends bring up the wedding, Jessica's ceremony is always the first thing they mention. Carolyn and I are thankful that she was available and we are lucky that she was a part of our special day.

As someone that was nervous about finding the right person and worried we may not, I can't recommend Jessica enough and I can't say enough good things about her services and professionalism.

Thank you Jessica and Celebrated Ceremonies! You made our wedding a beautiful event!

Jessica was amazing! She made our ceremony personal and about us. It was well organized and we loved the story she recreated for us. You can tell she puts a lot of time and heart into it. She also helped with our own vows and organization of everything. I have received many comments that it was the "best wedding ceremony" people have ever attended. I highly recommend her services!

Jessica gives you a completely custom ceremony that really brings your guests into what your love story really is about. We were beyond excited when we read the ceremony that she created for us, it was perfect. She was even able to accommodate a last minute change to the ceremony timeline the night before/morning of! A lot of our guest even told us after the wedding how great of a job she did. We could not have asked for a better person to marry us.

Jessica was so great to work with! We were in a pinch at the last minute and needed to find someone to marry us the following day. Despite having less than 24 hours to put something together, Jessica worked hard to get to understand the kind of people we are so she could make the ceremony unique to us. She was professional, personable, and most of all, very kind throughout the whole process. She arrived on time, and even took care to speak loudly so my grandfather could hear the ceremony too. If someone didn't know we only booked her the day before, they'd have thought she had weeks to prepare.

We highly recommend Jessica! Thanks, you saved the day!

Jessica Ben Ami is a fantastic officiant - her ceremonies are personal and strike the perfect balance between serious, romantic and celebratory. When we were looking for officiants I'd see all these people with great reviews but then when I found videos of them performing ceremonies on youtube they would either seem disinterested, cheesy or have horrible word choice. In contrast, Jessica Ben Ami is eloquent (evident from the first time you meet her) and in our ceremony was able to perfectly capture dynamics of my husband and my relationship. Jessica meets with each couple in person for an interview/get to know each other coffee. Then, she has a questionnaire which you fill out and provides the basis for the love story that she writes. Suffice to say - good friends of ours asked us afterwards if Jessica had known us for 10 years or more!

I can't recommend Jessica Ben Ami enough - her services are well worth the cost and you will have a phenomenal ceremony if you use her!

Jessica did not perform my wedding, but did a beautiful baby welcoming ceremony for my little one. We are not religious, so we didn't want a baptism ceremony, but still wanted to commemorate a very special event in our lives and to honor the birth of our first child. Jessica incorporated so many details into the ceremony and made it a really personal experience for us and our families and friends who were present. It was intimate and made everyone feel like an integral part of our baby's life. I would highly recommend Jessica as an officiant for all of the special events in your life- she did a wedding for a dear friend that was so incredibly moving. She would be amazing for your vow renewal, adoption ceremony, commitment ceremony, baby naming/welcoming, etc. Her eloquence and poetry with words, her soothing voice, and charming personality are perfect for this job- but it's her absolute focus on you and your moment that will make your ceremony one to remember. There are not enough nice things to say about Jessica. She facilitated such beautiful ceremony and totally captured our essence and story. We were nervous at first looking for an officiant as we are not particularly religious. Yet, she did a spectacular job making it deep and heartfelt.

Many people at the wedding asked where/how we found Jessica as they said it was one of the most memorable weddings to which they have been.

We would recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant in the DC Area.

We cannot speak highly enough of Jessica Ben Ami’s amazing job as the officiant at our wedding. Her thoughtful, funny, and moving ceremony received unanimous praise from family and friends, who were under the assumption that we had known her for years, while in actuality we had only met her the month before.

Originally, we had planned to have a family member perform the ceremony, but plans fell through and we found ourselves without an officiant with the wedding only a short time away. We had done tons of research on venues, food, and decorations, but we were lost when it came to finding an officiant. My wife-to-be soon found WeddingWire and after reading many positive reviews about Jessica, we set up an interview. At that first meeting, she calmed our fears about getting an officiant at such a late date, and walked us through all of our options. Her thoroughness in the interview really helped us visualize the ceremony that we wanted have. After that interview, Jessica asked us about how my wife and I met and our life together, and she weaved it all into a beautiful ceremony that told the story of our relationship in our personal voices and style. By the end of our wedding, it wasn’t the food or the decorations that received the most compliments, it was Jessica’s ceremony. Everyone raved about how sweet it was, and they all agreed that it fit us perfectly. I even had family come up to me and say, “I learned something new about you both!” Jessica’s attention to the details of our relationship really made us feel special, and we can’t thank her enough for her fantastic job as our officiant.

From the catering to the photographers to the dinnerware, planning a wedding is so overwhelming. But I can’t stress enough how important it is to find the right officiant. A great ceremony is so much more memorable and fulfilling than what you eat at the reception. We will always cherish what Jessica Ben Ami did for us on our wedding day.

Jessica is a lovely woman, who put together the perfect wedding for our small gathering. We wanted to make the wedding a family affair since we were blending families and she had some great suggestions and incorporated family vows into the ceremony. Our kids loved it! Jessica is very professional and her warmth really added to the event.

There are so many wonderful things to say about Jessica and our experience with her as our officiant that I'm not sure I can put it all into writing. She was very easy to work with, was responsive and guided us every step of the way. She showed up on our big day on time and looking professional and ready to kick butt! She was incredibly attentive since day 1 and after having us each fill out her questionnaire and choose our vows and readings from a beautiful list that she provided to us, she was able to write an amazing ceremony that perfectly expressed our feelings about each other, and our love and gratitude for our most cherished family and friends. Multiple guests approached us afterwards and told us how they really loved that the ceremony took them along the journey of our lives together and our path to the aisle and also made them feel like they were a real part of our commitment to continue that journey into the future. Jessica was a perfect choice for our wedding and we can never truly repay her for the incredibly beautiful memory she has given us.

Jessica officiated over our vow renewal ceremony. It was a very small ceremony, with immediate family only.Jessica officiated over our son and daughter-in-law's wedding in 2014, so we were familiar with her service and style. However, nothing prepared us for the intimate personalized ceremony we received. She incorporated personal touches in the vows and ceremony, making it so meaningful, there were tears all around! It was like she became part of our family. It was a beautiful ceremony and a memory we will cherish forever. We highly recommend Jessica!

We were looking for a non-traditional officiant who would be able to capture our energy and personalities, and Jessica did just that. Her style of incorporating our "love story" into the ceremony was absolutely unique and perfect. It made our ceremony completely personal from start to finish, instead of the broad, over the top readings I am used to hearing. I still get told how beautiful and amazing the ceremony was, and it truly was all due to Jessica. I could not have been more impressed or happy with her!

Working with Jessica was extremely pleasing to work with and she was so helpful. I needed her assistance to be my Officiant at a very short period of time and she was flexible with me. Being that our wedding was an LGBT one, we were extremely concerned with being able to be ourselves on the most important day of our lives! Originally, we asked two of close friends to perform our ceremony because we thought it would be nice to have someone who truly knew us to speak on our behalf. We are so glad neither of those people worked out:) We could not have asked for a better person to marry us! Jessica was amazing from start to finish; the way she listened, gathered, and told our story was much more than we could have ever imagined. It was as if she knew us throughout our entire relationship. The ceremony went off without a hitch. It was beautiful and magical. Many unexpected tears were shed among guests and I think that says more than words when it comes to people connecting with our story. Everyone came up to us at the end saying Jessica did a tremendous job and it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies they had ever attended!

Thank you, Jessica, for everything! We had a wonderful wedding and much of that was thanks to you:)

Jessica was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we first met with her, I knew we had made the right choice. She was in constant contact through emails and phone calls. The wedding ceremony she wrote for us was exactly what we wanted! We received comments all evening from our guests about what a beautiful ceremony it was.

Jessica helped us to have what many of our friends and family said was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever seen. She helped us to create a ceremony that was deeply personal and truly expressed how we felt about one another. She provided us with many ideas and options for readings and allowed us to supplement with some of our own. We were extremely happy with our wedding ceremony. Jessica put together a great narrative that touched on all the points we wanted. She was also very easy to work with. Several people, including our close relatives, remarked on how much they enjoyed the ceremony. She also addressed our concern about finding the right amount of time for the ceremony. At one point in our ceremony, the microphone cut out. Jessica continued with the ceremony and did not lose a moment. We are very glad we chose her as our officiant.

I could not be more pleased with my wedding ceremony using Jessica. Looking for a meaningful and non-religious ceremony, I came to Jessica. She was easy to work with and provided an incredibly moving, funny, and personal ceremony. So many guests remarked it was one of the most amazing ceremonies they'd ever been to. Jessica was the perfect choice to officiate our wedding! We wanted a ceremony that was focused on us and our story, and Jessica delivered. She took the comments we made on the phone and in our questionnaire and incorporated them into a really heartfelt ceremony. She took the time to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Jessica was absolutely fantastic. We asked her to do a unique reading that required a special touch in its'
delivery and we were so pleased with the results - it was perfect! Jessica worked with us from start to finish on our individualized ceremony and was always prompt and responsive. Her voice is beautiful! I can't say enough good things about Jessica, and I would certainly recommend her to others!

I could not write enough good things about Jessica. We were looking for an officiant who wouldn't bring religion into the ceremony and found her. We met and knew immediately she was it. We received the most compliments of the night about her. She had the whole room laughing and crying. She spoke so eloquently too. If you are looking for a well spoken, warm, officiant who makes the ceremony about YOU and YOUR story, hire this woman. It was so romantic and everyone told us that it was obvious we love each other so much because the ceremony was so beautiful. Best hire of the night.

My husband already left a 5-star review, but the ceremony Jessica delivered deserves a double review! I cannot say enough great things about our experience from beginning to end. Her ceremony was truly special and so personal, in every way. A few months have passed since our wedding, and countless family and friends have remarked by now on multiple occasions about what a beautiful ceremony we had- and we have Jessica to thank. Our ceremony was unforgettable- everything we wanted and more. Highly recommend her services to anyone!!

Jessica was amazing! As soon as I sent her an email requesting her services, she set-up a phone call to discuss details, payment, etc. She was extremely responsive and always on top of things. I never worried for a second. We used her services just for the most basic ceremony since we had already gotten the marriage certificate beforehand, but the ceremony she wrote blew me away! For the amount she charged, I thought I would get a very basic template, but she made the ceremony so personal! I had sent her a small paragraph about me and my husband, and she took that language and crafted a beautiful ceremony. For being a complete stranger to us, she had all of our guests asking how I knew her. They all thought she was a very good friend of mine! That just shows how good Jessica is. She was able to make the ceremony so personal and reflect our values as a couple so well that all our guests were so surprised to find out that she didn't actually know us! Many people asked me if I sat down with her to write the ceremony, and I didn't; it was all based off of a short email to her. I would HIGHLY recommend Jessica's services to anyone. She helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
Jessica was the most fantastic officiant we could have possibly asked for. Because we aren't local, we weren't able to meet face to face until the day of the wedding. But during the planning process, she was incredibly helpful, responsive, and patient with my ever-present planning stress. We had a couple of FaceTIme meetings, countless emails, and several phone calls leading up to the big day.
When she arrived at the venue exactly at the time she indicated, she was even better in person. She instantly made us feel like we were the most important couple in the world.
I wish I knew someone who was planning on getting married so I could recommend her over and over again.

Jessica went above and beyond to worked with us from the very beginning to ensure our wedding was perfect. She is extremely professional, caring and dedicated to what she does. We took a while to research and find the perfect person to help in the planning and officiate the wedding and we couldn’t have found anyone better. Jessica was amazing from beginning to end and our ceremony was the most beautiful ceremony we could have ever hope for. We give her 5 out of 5 starts and would give her more if we could. My husband and I were going to DC from out of state and we were so nervous about everything working out and Jessica made sure we were at ease and did more than was even required to ensure we had an amazing event. Jessica did an amazing job officiating our wedding! It was exactly what I had hoped for and even more. I found Jessica online through WeddingWire.com. I was initially a little nervous to use someone that we didn't know, but there was no need to be nervous after speaking with Jessica. She is very professional and very easy to talk to. I contacted her pretty late in the game, about 3 weeks before my wedding, and this was no set back for Jessica. She set up an initial meet and greet Skype call (we live in Georgia) and she basically told us about her services and different options for the ceremony. I knew after that phone call that Jessica would be the one officiating our wedding. After we signed the contract, Jessica sent us a questionnaire that my now husband and I filled out separately. Jessica used this questionnaire to create a wonderful personalized story about how we fell in love. Our ceremony was beautiful. Jessica was able to connect to our audience through stories, readings, and humor, it was exactly how I wanted it to go. Jessica even came up with the cool idea to be handcuffed and read our marriage miranda rights (my husband is a police officer) at the end as our "unity candle" type thing. All night long people were telling me how great the ceremony was. My family is still talking about the special story of our love. I would recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a fun, professional, committed officiant. Thank you Jessica!!!

Jessica customized our ceremony and it was amazing. We did an outdoor ceremony on a cold and rainy day in March but Jessica’s words transmitted such enthusiasm and warmth that our guests didn't mind the weather at all. We would highly recommend Jessica as an officiant. She met with us in person, had phone conversations, emailed us, and basically walked us through the whole process. Her charisma, professionalism, and lighthearted humor brightened our day.

JESSICA IS AMAZING!!!! My husband and I decided to push up our wedding date at the very last minute (12 days to plan) and we had no vendors booked at the time. After contacting a few officiants, we set an appointment with Jessica from Celebrated Ceremonies. We met with her less than a week before our wedding. In the short time we spent together, she totally captured who we are as a couple and the things that are important to us. The custom ceremony she wrote for us was absolutely perfect. We could tell that she really put her heart into the words, and so could all of our guests. Every single one complimented Jessica and my husband and I really can't say enough about her either.

Jessica even gave us ideas for vows, readings, ceremony styles, etc. She truly helped us make this "our day" and let us be the guide so that the ceremony would really be ours. She even made time for a "phone conference" the morning of our wedding to make a couple last minute tweaks to the ceremony. The keepsake vow cards she made for us are beautiful and something we will be able to cherish forever. She was so supportive at show time too. Last minute encouraging words and making sure all the proper paperwork was done so that we could just enjoy the moment once the ceremony started. We really felt like she became our friend and such a special part of our wedding day and not just "the officiant".

I will definitely recommend Jessica to every person I know who is planning their wedding.

My wife and I were very pleased with Jessica as our Officiant. She made herself available on very short notice to officiate our wedding ceremony overlooking the harbor at the lovely South Street Seaport in NYC. Jessica performed our wedding on 21st September. When we contacted her she responded to us immediately and was very flexible. We choose the personalized ceremony and absolutely loved it. All the guests complemented the whole ceremony and commented on what a great job Jessica did. We can not express what a wonderful job Jessica did for us. She showed up early helped walk us thru what we needed to do. She even spent a few minuits with the DJ to help insure timing and anowsments were set , ready and understood. For us personally she was a true claming force and really helped us stay focused and shake off some of our nerves. First and foremost we loved our ceremony as did all of our guests (not an exaggeration) . They are still commenting on it a month later; how personal it was and how it captured us. Jessica is very thorough in the process and put together a 30 minutes ceremony (with our input and feedback) that was really everything we could have asked for. She was collaborative, professional, and willing to craft the ceremony to meet our vision. If you are looking for a ceremony that is personal and reflective of you we would highly recommend her! Jessica is very sweet and has great presence in front of a crowd. For our non-religious wedding, she used our responses to her questionnaire to create a highly personal, touching "love story" that gave our guests a peek inside our relationship. Everyone told us how much they loved the ceremony, and several people even said it was the best, most personal ceremony they'd ever witnessed. She was also flexible in adjusting her schedule so she could attend our rehearsal the evening before. We highly recommend her!

I knew when i set out looking for an officiant what i wanted. someone who could take my ideas and shape them into a beautiful ceremony. Jessica definitely did this. she was super responsive always answering any questions and concerns i had(which being as i got married outdoors in april they were plentiful) and was always so accomodating. we didnt want a super religious ceremony but wanted to still have a traditional one and she amde that happen. everything flowed beautifully. even when i forgot to stop and let my dad give me away.(i was really excited and walked right up to my husband) she just rolled with it. i'd definitely recommend her services(especially since her rates are FAR lower than many of the others i checked out and the quality was amazing!)

Jessica was a pleasure to work with and really brought the whole ceremony together. She was extremely genuine throughout the entire process of learning more about my wife and I, to working through the ceremony details, including the vows and related components. She had also worked with us from afar (halfway across the world) as my wife and I are based in Dubai. We had several Skype conversations to not only make the experience more personal, but to ensure both parties were on the same page throughout the process.

She also took care of all the necessary certification and filing of the marriage license (big plus for us)!

Her online questionnaire was thorough and easy to follow, and allowed us to provide her with enough background on our relationship in order for her to create a bespoke and personal service for the ceremony. The day of the wedding Jessica was also a major help in ensuring everyone knew their role and procedures for the ceremony (no easy task with my family).

The only slight mark against Jessica is we would have liked a bit more timely/prompt communication closer to the wedding day, as it took longer than we would had hoped to receive the initial Draft as well as answers to some questions we had presented her. However as previously mentioned she did come through in the end and were happy to have had her for our wedding!
