Perfect Venue!

Stunning Venue!

I attended a wedding at this venue in November and have to say it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Every single detail was thoughtful and classy, and the property itself is gorgeous and well maintained. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding!

Great custom wedding!

We got married at Cedar’s Weddings and Events on November 8, and it was truly a magical experience from start to finish. The space is already beautiful, but we were able to completely transform it with custom draping, tenting, and bringing in our own furniture, which made it feel incredibly personal and unique to us. Everything came together even better than we imagined. The catering with Adrian’s Delectables was outstanding, the florist was amazing, and the entire event space team made the process seamless. It was such a special, unforgettable day, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding. Highly recommend.

Wonderful venue run by wonderful people

I can’t say enough kind things about this venue and its owner. They worked with us through the entire process and were willing to answer any questions we had at any time. I only wish we could have used the getting-ready suite all day, but we made it work. The grounds, the building, the location… it was all exactly what I wanted. I can’t recommend this vendor enough!

Awesome venue!

This venue is incredibly beautiful and the pictures do it no justice! It was extremely easy to work with Bridget and Catherine- they were extremely nice and helpful as well. 10/10 recommend!

Great venue, great food and great service!!

Cedars was the best decision I could have made!! I had my sons rehearsal dinner there. I was allowed to arrive early to set up my tables., that’s all I had to do. Adriane’s Delectables was the caterer that was recommended to me by the venue, and she took it from there. The food was unbelievable!! I’m still getting calls on how delicious the food was, and how beautifully it was presented. If you have an event coming up, I recommend the Cedars!! Be sure to ask for a bartender..Tyler was fantastic!!

Perfect in every way

The Cedars was fantastic. The package made planning the wedding a breeze, and Bridget and Christina were easy to communicate with and helpful all throughout the planning process. They were very understanding and accommodating when we needed to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19. The week leading up to the wedding, I called and visited the venue almost every day to set things up and they were very helpful. On the wedding day, everything ran perfectly and so many of our guests told us they had a wonderful time. The grounds were well-gardened and looked stunning for our outdoor ceremony. All the staff and vendors were phenomenal: Tiffany was an amazing coordinator, she kept everyone organized at the rehearsal and ceremony and kept the night rolling along smoothly. The food was from Adriane’s Delectables and it was delicious. They really took care of us, when it was time to start eating, the food and drinks were already set out for my husband and I, and they even remembered that I’m a vegetarian. The DJ Mike Mullen was great, he played all our favorite songs and the dance floor was hopping the whole night. We’re so happy that we picked the Cedars, they made our wedding dreams come true.

The Perfect Venue

My husband and I are so pleased with our experience at The Cedars wedding venue! The venue was perfect for the ceremony and reception and the staff there is amazing. Our family and friends had no issues finding it, located perfectly in Downtown Acworth, and parking was also extremely convenient for guests to park and walk right in. We had a day of coordinator, Kathy, who made the day so perfect and allowed each process to be planned so we didn't have to think about it. I highly recommend getting married here!

HIGHLY Recommend The Cedars

The Cedars was the perfect wedding venue for our December wedding. I loved how they had a caterer (Adriene's Delectables- also phenomenal), DJ, bartender, and baker all included in their package. Booking everything was a breeze and communication with Brigit and Christina was superb. They were always avaliable for questions and concerns, especially when COVID hit in the middle of wedding planning. The venue itself is beautiful, and there was plenty of room inside for a December wedding. Our day-off coordinator, Kathy, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I didn't have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day. I would recommend this wedding venue to my friends and family. Thank you Cedars!

Do not hesitate to book cedars!

The Cedars Weddings and Events is one of the best around. Kristina and Brigita have a wonderful venue and the experience of the wedding business. They made everything so easy. I was never stressed one moment--they always checked in to see if anything was needed and were always available when needed. They also have the BEST vendors!! The Cedars is the place of your dreams. I would recommend them every single time!

Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!

We had my daughter’s wedding here and it was wonderful in every way. The food is delicious. The value for you money cannot be beat. The inclusion of a wedding planner, cake cutting, tables, table cloths, toast and many more seemingly small things are not included in many other venues we researched so ask those questions!! Beautiful and classy - we are still getting compliments

Gorgeous Venue

Cedar Plantation was the perfect choice for my wedding. From my first meeting with Brigita, I knew that this would be an amazing experience. Adriane (Caterer) is the best, and her food is out of this world. Nettie (DJ) was so fun, and made sure that all of our guests were having a blast. The venue and grounds are picture perfect. Loved working with Cedar!

Cedar Plantation was a beautiful venue to host our wedding! The staff was excellent every step of the way. There are a few things that differentiate them from other venues. 1) They allow you to bring in your own alcohol. 2) They let me decorate the venue all week long leading up to the wedding. This is unheard of. 3) They gave me the best wedding coordinator ever - Kathy. She was amazing and made me feel so calm about the big day!

Rainy Nights in Georgia

My daughter's wedding was Dec. 1, 2018 and if anyone remembers it was a very rainy night, but the rain actually made the plantation magical. The guests loved the outside wedding with umbrellas and the grounds were just beautiful with the lights and greenery.

We just hosted my daughter’s wedding at Cedar Plantation on July 7th. The venue is absolutely stunning and the staff is amazing! We had close to 250 people which was a WHOLE lot for Cedar. However, the wedding and reception went without ANY kinks. Everything, and I literally mean everything, flowed so easily. The staff worked together at every turn to guarantee a perfect evening. The twinkle lights highlighted the gardens around an already gorgeous venue and simply made it magical. You will be amazed at the beauty of this place. And, with the help of owner, Brigita and her daughter, Kristina, Adriane the caterer, Michelle our coordinator, Nettie the DJ, and ALL the other staff, expect nothing less than the best wedding imaginable! Our daughter’s wedding was like a fairytale and I couldn’t possibly be any more thankful to everyone at Cedar Plantation. �

AMAZING! GORGEOUS! BREATH TAKING! A FAIRY TALE WEDDING! Cedar Plantation was the ABSOLUTE PERFECT place for my daughters wedding reception. Bridget and Christina are AWESOME!!!! This is a truly beautiful wedding venue with gardens and a gazebo for an outdoor wedding option and elegant ballrooms for dining and dancing. We had 30 days to pull together our wedding and the staff at Cedar Plantation were amazing! They helped us every step of the way, made suggestions that really added to the event, and did everything they could to make it perfect. Our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and could not believe we pulled it off in our short time frame. Thank you Brigita, Kristina, and Starr! You are the best!

We had our wedding at Cedar Plantation in downtown Acworth September 3rd 2016 and were blown away by the overall experience. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of food, atmosphere, scenery and overall experience. We had sole use of the house several days ahead of time because they had no other weddings that weekend. Brigita and the rest of the staff were nothing but helpful in the run up and during the course of our weekend-we couldn't praise them enough.

As a wedding venue we couldn't fault anything. The food was out of this world and all our guests commented on the quality of food on offer. The appetizers, the fillet beef, the dessert, the cake was all amazing.

The venue played a huge part in the success of our weekend and the amount of our guests who are still talking about your venue is testament to that.

Cedar Plantation was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. Bridget was so professional! She was clear and up front about everything. We had wonderful coordinators for the wedding. Whenever a need arose, they were on it quickly! I was able to relax and enjoy the evening without worrying about a thing! The event was spectacular and well worth the price. My daughter's wedding photos are stunning due to the beautiful setting and the photographer which Bridget recommended. She also recommended the horse and carriage for our event. Definitely worth it!

I am getting married this Fall at Cedar Plantation. All I can say is...WOW! The house and also the landscape is so beautiful! Cedar Plantation was the perfect place for my wedding! As my husband and I were driving away from the venue on the night of our wedding, we talked about how perfectly the night went! We had no regrets or doubts. Most of this can be credited to Michelle, our wedding coordinator (who is provided to you). She kept things on schedule and made sure we had plenty of time for pictures, greeting family, eating, and dancing. Also the relationship Cedar Plantation has with its outside vendors is excellent. They have been working with the same cake and flower vendors and DJ for years. This gave me confidence in the fact that they know what they are doing at this venue, when I do not!

I can't say enough great things about this place. Its a beautiful venue that doesn't need much in the way of additional décor, its a house that was made for events, so add some centerpieces and candles and call it a day! Everything is included... food, DJ, and coordinating, so much of the stress was gone as the vendors mentioned above all work together frequently so they know the place and each other. Our coordinator, Jackie was amazing and kept us on track for the day without being pushy or overbearing. She made sure all the details were taken care of so that we could enjoy our day. It was a perfect day and I wouldn't change a thing! Loved every bit of it and our guests (about 90 guests) did too!

We want to express our most immense gratitude towards making our wedding day such an extraordinary and unforgettable experience. Our wedding's theme was Southern Chic and my husband wanted it to be in a plantation, so when I visited Cedar Plantation I fell in love with how impeccable it was in every aspect and became instantly enchanted. The owner Briggie was extremely attentive towards everything we needed and made sure everything was how we wanted it.
The garden is absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our special ceremony. The sound system during the ceremony surpassed our expectations.In addition, the catering done by Adriane was exceptional and she was able to fulfill our specific wishes in including many different tastes and making exquisite hors d'veours, appetizers, and our seated dinner. We had a variety of guests coming from different parts of the world, and she was able to produce food that pleased everybody's tastes. What's more, the food was presented in a very aesthetic way that contributed greatly to the elegance of the whole event. The place itself is gorgeous, but the extra decorations with the lighting and flowers handled by Nina made it even more romantic for our celebration.
The DJ Netty did a terrific job handling the microphone levels, especially when controlling the sound levels of my son who sang during the wedding. She also kept the crowd engaged during the dancing celebration and everyone enjoyed themselves fully. What a grand time!
Our planner Jackie coordinated every activity perfectly and guaranteed everything was done in time and to our liking.
It was a second wedding for the both of us and our expectations for it were very high. Both Cedar Plantation and Adriane Catering were able to meet our expectations to the fullest.

We owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to Cedar Plantation for making our wedding a memorable and joyous occasion. The venue is absolutely beautiful inside and outside-the perfect location for a stunning garden wedding. We had the freedom to decorate the venue with limited restriction to add personalized touches throughout the ceremony and reception. We received many compliments from guests, many of whom expressed that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they ever attended and that the venue was amazing.

We also want to thank you the staff and vendors for the professional manner that they accommodated all of our requests for the wedding. It was evident that the staff put forth a considerable amount of hard work to help make our wedding day fun and hassle-free.

The perfect wedding for our bride and groom on Sunday, 5/4 - Cedar Plantation and their service providers allowed my son and his new wife to have the wedding day they dreamed of! Everything about the day was perfect. Not one hiccup from ceremony, to announcing the bride, groom and attendants, to dinner and dancing the entire day. The gardens and patios served as perfect backdrop for everyone's photos. My friends and relatives have been calling us from all over the country to tell us again that this was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they had been to in a long time. Cedar Plantation is a beautiful historic home in historic Acworth, Georgia. My daughter chose this venue for her reception. Bridgette and Christina, the owners were outstanding to work with. They never made you feel like you were asking too many questions and invited you back to the home as often as you felt you needed to come.

The home itself is impeccably clean and very tastefully decorated. Any bride would be able to come in and use whatever color she desired. We had 150 guests and were most comfortable.

The dance floor was large and the buffet area perfect. Adriane's Delectables is the house caterer and she and her team were magnificent. They were able to serve 150 guests in 20 minutes and the food was home cooked, delicious and hot. The wedding cake and grooms cake were done by Perfection Confection and the cakes were beautiful and very tasty. The DJ, who has been with the house for years did an outstanding job. We choose a different florist. Tony Whitlock and his team from Acorn Home and Garden made the most beautiful arrangements you could imagine. We still look at the pictures. I highly recommend his team in Marietta, Georgia.

This venue has the most gorgeous grounds surrounding the home. Guests can sit outside or just walk around and take it all in. I could go on and on. My daughter and our family are so happy that we choose Cedar Plantation and will have so many happy memories to come.

I can not say enough wonderful things about the cedar plantation. It is beautiful and the perfect location for a true southern wedding. Our guests kept commenting on how lovely everything was. The staff is professional, courteous, and friendly. No wedding is ever pain free to plan but planning a wedding at cedar is close to it. They supply the guest with a list of preferred vendors and they as well are wonderful. We chose Netty as our DJ, Adrianes Delectables as our caterer, and House of flowers as the florist. They did not dissapoint! It was a perfect evening. I was quite surprised that more people had not heard of this place, but it is a real gem. For those of you engaged and needing the perfect venue for your special day, I couldn't encourage you more to check out this Venue.
Cedar Plantation has that old Southern Charm and a beautiful history with its magnolia trees in the front, beautifully manicured grounds to the charming gazebo in the back surrounded by bright flora and wispy trees.

Cedar Plantation was the perfect venue for my daughter’s July wedding. The house and gardens are well maintained and beautiful. Bridgette and Christina were so easy to work with. They both were always happy to answer any question we had before the big day. The ceremony was held inside. The bride came down the beautiful staircase into the living room, where the ceremony was held in front of the fireplace. Adriane of Adriane’s Delectables and her staff did an amazing job. Not only serving delicious food but also taking care of “flipping” the room from ceremony to reception. We have received many complements on the food that was served. The cake from Confection Perfection was perfect. Jennifer worked with us to get a true New Orleans wedding cake. It was delicious!! Netti the DJ of Rio Sound provided the music for the ceremony. Then kept us all dancing for the reception starting with a New Orleans Second Line, playing from the bride and grooms list and taking request. The wedding coordinator Jackie made the entire evening go very smoothly. The florist was Nina’s Flower Shoppe Cedartown Georgia. Nina House did an amazing job not only with the wedding party flowers but decorating the mantle and staircase for the ceremony and the tables centerpieces for the reception. Everyone did an amazing job of making the night a Night to Remember. Thank you all so much!!

An absolutely perfect wedding venue! Cedar Plantation is a hidden gem. After checking out the website, we telephoned on a whim on a Sunday morning and Adriane of Adriane's Delectables catering picked the phone. She happened to be setting up for a wedding at that very moment and she was so friendly and hospitable- encouraging us to take a quick drive out right then. From the moment we pulled into the grand circular drive, we were simply awed. Right out of a storybook! While other venues we visited were also very Southern and grand, this historic home just got better and better as our tour continued. The gardens are immaculate and a gazebo is perfectly situated for an outdoor ceremony. The 5 star rating is awarded to each and every person we dealt with throughout the months of planning- each one showing patience and sincere gratitude while offering guidance and advice in their area of expertise. The wedding package we purchased delivered incredible value and truly everything exceeded our expectations. My son and now daughter-in-law look back on the their "fairy tale wedding" with the fondest of memories. Thank you so much!

Amazing, magical venue, fairytale wedding....150 guests, so many off the chart compliments regarding the cleanliness, decorations (lots of tiny tea lights everywhere), lots of bathrooms available, not the first thing one thinks of when locating a wedding, but extremely important once you get there! The venue allows you to bring in your own beer and wine if you so choose, and that is an extreme cost saver. The owners are gracious and kind, willing to entertain any request within reason. Every one of their vendors are 5 star and I am not exaggerating, down to the cake vendor suggestion. We had SO many compliments on everything we could not table them all.. Would recommend them to anyone interested in a memorable wedding!

Cedar Plantation is AMAZING! The owner, Brigita, is wonderful & so helpful. She kept us up to date on all of the details, allowed us to come in the week before for an individual "bride" photo shoot and let us decorate anytime the week before the wedding since there were no other events booked for that weekend. Cedar Plantation itself is a beautiful venue. We received so many compliments from guests. Many said it was the most beautiful wedding reception they'd ever been too! (the wedding was held in a church prior to the reception).
Our wedding coordinator for the evening was Amanda. She did an outstanding job of keeping us on schedule and was so pleasant to work with. Very Sweet!
Our catering was done by Adriane's Delectables. Adriane was so kind, going over & above to make the meal perfect & exactly what my daughter wanted. Her food is delicious! Again, we received many compliments on the food as well.
The DJ we selected was Nettie and she did a fantastic job. Taking requests & playing from the music list my daughter had given her. She involved the guests in fun ways. She did a great job!
The Cake we ordered was from Cake Perfection. It was beautiful & delicious!
The whole evening was perfect, everyone had a wonderful time, especially the bride & groom, it was like a fairy tale!

This location was perfect for my "southern chic" wedding! Gorgeous inside and out. It was definitely perfectly suited for my dream wedding! Bridget, the owner, was wonderful in meeting my needs, letting me come over as often as I wanted, and I decorated for the whole week before the event with no issues! The ONLY complaint I would have was that their house dj that you have the option of using (STEPHEN) was TERRIBLE. Played whatever he wanted and was awkward. He should definitely choose a different profession.

We went to Cedar Plantation and immediately fell in love! It is absolutely beautiful inside and out! With our wedding package, we used the DJ (SHE WAS WONDERFUL), the cake was delicious, and the caterer (Adriane's Delectables). It was all well worth the money and all fit into our budget (It was a modest budget). Please go and look at Cedar Plantation because I know you will fall in love too!

I loved having my wedding at Cedar Plantation. It is such a gorgeous venue in cute, historic, downtown Acworth. The ceremony was outside in the garden with the gazebo as the altar, and the reception was inside and outside on the patio. Everyone was great to work with and helpful as I was planning the wedding from out of town.

We looked at several different venues before booking with Cedar Plantation. This is a very beautiful venue. The place is extremely clean and the grounds are immaculate. Brigita was wonderful to work with. She was very professional and responded to emails and phone calls promptly. Our planner Michelle was helpful as well. The only thing I would recommend is to order more tables if you have more than 100 guests. They have tables outside but our wedding was in June and it was a little too hot to sit outside. Overall we have no regrets having our wedding at Cedar Plantation.

We chose Cedar Plantation as our Ceremony and Reception venue and could not have been more pleased. The owners and wedding coordinator are very experienced and helpful. The house and grounds are breathtaking and so well kept. We got married in June and the landscaping was stunning. The facilities were perfectly maintained, and the air conditioning kept everybody cool and comfortable. Their house DJ, Nettie, was very kind and played exactly the right kind of music for our ceremony and reception. Adrian's Delectables, the caterer, was very easy to work with and the guests raved about the food. The only thing I would change, would have been the cake. Our wedding package included the cake from Confection Perfection, but the cake ended up being very dry. Overall, it was the perfect wedding. Our friends couldn't stop telling us what a great time they had. The staff at Cedar Plantation really knows how to put on a beautiful, flawless, fun wedding.

Cedar Plantation is a WONDERFUL wedding venue. I was an out of town bride, and they were very accommodating and helpful. Bridgett, the owner, is very responsive and organized. The venue is beautiful and kept up extremely well. During my rehearsal dinner, there were lots of bees in the garden, where I was having my wedding ceremony. Bridgett arranged for the garden to be sprayed and the day was perfect. I think this is a good example of the pride Cedar Plantation takes in personally taking care of their weddings. The caterer (I went with Adrianne's) was also fantastic. They were reasonable, and the package included more than enough food. The DJ did exactly what we wanted, and kept the party going all night. Providing our own alcohol saved us TONS of money. The wedding cake was also done well, and delivered without any problems. Carol, our wedding planner, was a life saver. She was organized in our prewedding meeting, but the day of the wedding she was absolutely spectacular. In addition to asking my husband and I throughout the night if we needed anything, she was attentive to both of our parents as well. We knew we were well taken care of all night. We did not use the florist in the package, but received a refund to apply the flower budget to our outside vendor. My wedding day was perfect, and I would absolutely recommend Cedar Plantation to anyone getting married in the Atlanta area.

The venue is absolutely beautiful. The owners are easy to work with, but caution - be sure that you review your choices with the coodinator repeatedly to get what you want. They have several coordinators and depending on which one you get your experience may be different. The hiccups that we experienced would not prohibit me from using the venue...just valuable lesson learned. You may rest assured that your guest will be impressed with the venue details and overall beauty.

Cedar Plantation made our wedding incredibly easy. My husband and I both work and go to school, so we wanted a venue that would be quite inclusive to make our planning less stressful. Cedar Plantation offered the perfect blend of inclusiveness and choices by offering wedding and reception packages with various included services, recommended vendors to choose from, or we could pick our own vendors. We were required to use their DJ service or musicians and to use one of their two caterers, but everything else was entirely optional. Both the DJ (Ms. Nettie) and the caterer (Adrian's Delectables) that we picked were absolutely amazing to work with, and their experience with Cedar Plantation made the entire event much easier than if we had gone with other vendors. We ended up going with most of the other recommended vendors as well, and again, their familiarity with Cedar Plantation made it much easier to deal with on the day of the wedding.There were a very few restrictions on what we could do at the venue, including a time restriction due to city ordinances (city curfew), and a restriction on some of the materials that could be used (understandable, but still slightly disappointing), but these were made up for by the absolutely beautiful venue and excellent staff.
Cedar Plantation's wedding coordinator, Catherin, made the whole event run exceptionally smoothly. She was calm, poised and always ready to deal with any issues which arose, including the rain showers that passed over a mere 1 hour before the ceremony - she held off setting up the chairs until just 10 minutes before the ceremony started, so that the rain had stopped completely, the chairs were dry for the guests, and we could have the outdoor wedding that my husband and I had envisioned. Her amazing competence and composure kept me calm and allowed me to focus on the details that only I could handle (squeezing into the dress). She always listened to what we wanted to make sure that she made our wedding dream into a reality.
Our guests said that the wedding was beautiful and that the reception was gorgeous, fun and elegant. It was exactly what we wanted and worth every penny for a dream wedding.

We were very pleased with this venue overall. Brigita and Kristina were always very professional and timely in following up with any questions or concerns when I contacted them by phone or e-mail. The wedding coordinator, Jackie, was flexible and easy to work with as well as the DJ. We were provided with a list of vendors including photographer, florist, and minster. This was so helpful since we were planning this wedding from out of town. The fact that alcohol can be brought from outside is great too. We were able to decorate as we chose, but the place really did not need decoration other than a simple center piece and small votive candles on the reception tables. I was not happy with the caterer, Adrianne's Delectables, because she quit responding to my e-mails out of the blue. My fiance then stepped in, and she responded to him in a timely manner oddly enough. She did not seem very organized at all. Overall, we had a wonderful wedding day. If we had to do it all over again, we'd chose Cedar Plantation.

Brigita and Kristina were wonderful to work with. Very responsive over the phone. Cedar is beautiful grounds and well kept. Some of the decor is a little out dated but it’s still gorgeous. The bridal suite was a little small and still wished there was a groom’a suite!

Cedar Plantation looked like an image from my child hood dreams for my wedding! This place is stunning, clean, gorgeous, tons of character and just absolutely beautiful! The way they sell their weddings are in great packages, where you do not need to worry about set up or clean up. We were first a little worried that we could only use one of two caterers, but we ended up with the best caterer by far! They also provide the DJ, who had a great personal feel...music for the ceremony was wonderful, he chose some custom pieces with piano music just as we wanted. While we provided plenty of music we were not all too happy with the reception choices of music but I think that might have to do with we only had the place for 4 hours total...that was with an extra hour of overtime. Even Cinderella had till midnight...we were very unhappy for how LITTLE time we had.

We loved the people, especially the owner Bridgette; everyone had a huge heart and never treated us as if we were "just another wedding". Another great plus was all they would have needed was a 30 minute notice and they could have brought the whole wedding ceremony indoors if the weather did not turn out pretty, for a March wedding in Georgia this was a huge plus!

One last not so positive comment...the wedding coordinator that Cedar provided was a spectacular woman, however seemed flustered and as if was given all the wrong information. Upon our first meeting with her, she had times, dates and names all incorrect; thankfully I was an extremely organized bride with all my original signed contracts to show her. There was really a communication problem between her and Cedar's employees. She ended up doing a great job in the end but it did scare us quite a bit to start off that way.

Overall this was the perfect location for our special day! Only thing I would change is having the place for a longer amount of time for the reception. They really made our wedding a beautiful day!

This place is beautifully maintained and was so a great venue for both my ceremony and reception. They can do indoor or outdoor ceremonies. It was one of those package deal type things where you get the place, a DJ, a florist, and a caterer+cakes all through the director there at the house. They allowed me to choose my own florist and/or my own DJ and knocked money off the price of my package. I did do this with the florist and wish I had for the DJ. Everything to do with the place itself I give 5 stars, but all the vendors that came with it (Dj, caterer, and cakes) I didn't love. The caterer and cake *had* to be done through her, I wasn't even allowed to choose my own. They had a good menu selection, and the food was decently good (typical wedding buffet food), but the service was somewhat lacking (my aunt had to hunt them down in the kitchen to get them to put out more forks). The cake done through them as well was decent but not fabulous. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't impressed. Pretty much same opinion for the DJ - she was ok, but she didn't come prepared.

The property is lovely and the house is breathtaking. We had our ceremony outside and they have a cement walkway in the backyard that leads right up to the gazebo. We chose this venue because we wanted to have an outside ceremony but an equally great indoor backup plan if the weather did not cooperate. I would recommend this venue for anyone that wants to make use of the indoors and outdoors for their wedding. Two things that were important to us regarding a venue selection – we were allowed to BYOB and have our dog at the ceremony.

We liked the package offerings because some vendors were built into the cost but we were still able to choose a few of our own. The DJ that comes with the package is awesome. Super sweet and very accommodating to what music you want played. You could tell she enjoys what she does for a living. You are given a choice of 2 caterers and thankfully we choose Dogwood Terrace, their food is amazing. For the baker, they have a partnership with Confection Perfection and the package includes a 3-tier butter cream icing cake. The best cake they had was the chocolate chip cake – very yummy!

They assign a coordinator for the day of your wedding. They have more than one but the woman assigned to us was not very pleasant and you could tell she didn’t enjoy what she was doing. In fact, she is a real estate agent (primary career). I swear she took the job at Cedar Plantation as a lead generation opportunity – she was sure to give us her card and mention when we were ready to buy a house to call her.

A mother/daughter duo own and operate the venue. The daughter is really sweet and good with communication. Her mother on the other hand, made us feel as though we were bothering her and inconveniencing her for asking questions and wanted to come early to set up.

Overall, we would recommend this venue. If we had to do it again, we still would have chosen Cedar Plantation.

I live in Europe and wanted to be sure we had an amazing venue which was easy and didn't require much extra decoration for our Wedding in Atlanta. The Cedar Plantation was the perfect place, we had our Ceremony in Buckhead, which turned out well as we had a gap between the service and reception for guests to check into their hotel closer to the venue.
Cedar Plantation is a one stop shop, on one hand we would like to have the option to choose your own DJ, Cake or Caterer, but on the other hand this is what made planning from afar so easy. The venue has a wedding coordinator on site for you during the wedding to ensure the first dance, toasts etc are all scheduled and take the stress off you and your family.
The caterer was easy to work with and helpful on the day in setting up our personal touches on the tables. I saw people going for seconds, so I am assuming they liked it! We bought our own cloth napkins online for a classier touch, and had tables sent to the buffet one at a time for more of a sit down dinner feel, this worked very well. The venue is also BYOB which allows you to choose great wines in bulk to save money. For the cake we chose classic French Vanilla with Buttercream icing (from Confection Perfection), which was amazing. The DJ wasn't the most up to date, but our friends and family danced the night away so we cannot complain.
The venue offers you very short reception time (3 hours), but we paid the extra to extend for 5 hours, which still felt too short!
I had endless compliments all night about how wonderful the venue was and the beautiful setting. We haven't seen our pictures yet but the enormous Magnolia tree in the front and the gardens around the plantation were a gorgeous setting.
The venue supplies mirrors on tables so I spent a very minimal amount on flowers and candles to decorate. We set up our own mini DIY photobooth and had old family photos on the piano. I am thrilled with our venue choice, and would definitely recommend!

This is an absolute gorgeous place to get married. In the spring and summer, the flowers are in bloom so you do not need to decorate the outside if you get married in the garden area. The plantation house is beautiful as well! All of my guests raved about how gorgeous the venue was and my wedding pictures look awesome. I would definitly recommend this venue to anyone!!

When weddings are typically held at Cedar Plantation, several vendors come pre-packaged or included in the services. Having worked with some of their options, I have included a review on them within Cedar Plantation's review as they must be used at the venue.

The plantation home is impeccably well kept and so many of my guests were commenting on how beautiful the gardens, landscaping, and home were. Location was amazingly gorgeous and very happy we chose the venue.

The caterer (one of two to chose from) we utilized was Catering to You. I wish we had used Adrian's instead. The food was above typical wedding food quality (we had a full dinner service). The most frustrating part was the lack of communication skills from the caterer. I'm a very easy going "call me back whenever you get a chance" lady. However, it took a strongly worded call to Cedar Plantation to ever get a response from Catering to You. Communication is not their strong suit. Whether it be requesting a menu to select from or requesting a contract so we could send our deposit. The day of the wedding the caterer was even calling me all frantic because the seating chart that was sent in over a week prior she was finally reviewing and couldn't replicate the pattern exactly. After repeating many times just do what you can I left a very stressed out bride after that call the morning of the wedding. I felt I constantly needed to micromanage them. Day of the wedding they even had the wrong counts!!! Thank goodness I had printed confimation emails out to our wedding coordinator and she straightened it out. But they were off about 12 meals I heard from the coordinator in the counts for about a 60 person wedding! My final gripe was we had paid extra for glassware to be utilized. The last 1.5 hours of the wedding they were serving in white plastic dixie cups.....Not classy. But disasters averted in the end, just some road bumps and stress along the way.

We did not utilize the florist they suggested. In fact, the florist they suggested (House of Flowers) was very rude to my mother. Arrangements may have been nice, but customer service and plain common courtesy killed the deal.

The DJ was wonderful. Small bump where a few days prior the DJ called that would be serving our wedding night and said she didn't get the contract. Eeek! Good thing I made a copy. Everything went smooth though and everyone enjoyed themselves greatly! She even found my lost cell phone and dried it off and had it waiting for me, so kind!

Best for last - the wedding coordinator Marianne. Amazing, lovely, kind don't begin to describe her. I honestly do not know how brides can get through the day without a person like her! My words can't describe accurately how on top of things she was and how she'd diffuse any situations (ie caterer) before they reached me. I think I need her every day by my side! You can tell she has a clear passion for what she does and it shows! She knows when to be calming and when to be a perfectionist and when to improvise. Of all the people we worked with to make our day come together, she was by far the most helpful and wonderful!

To sum it up, I would definitely recommend to a friend to use Cedar Plantation. Knowing what I do now though I'd recommend utilize the other approved caterer on their list.

Unfortunately, I find it necessary to give a less than stellar rating to Cedar Plantation. My daughter's wedding and reception was held there Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 1230pm. We booked the hall back in August 2011 and up until 2 weeks before the wedding, I would have given a 5-star rating on everything involved with Cedars. ALL of the vendors (especially Jennifer Punch from Confection Perfection, Adriane Larson from Adriane's Delectables, the DJ Steve, and Tami from House of Flowers) have been INCREDIBLE. We gave them each 5 stars PLUS. The quality of the food, the cake, the flowers, and responsiveness from the vendors in responding to our phone calls, emails, etc., has been just excellent. They all gave 110% to make sure Heidi's wedding was perfect.

However, this brings me to the one MAJOR "vendor" that absolutely was NOT satisfactory, and that is the wedding coordinator Dale that was assigned to us by Cedars. We were told that they have 4 or 5 wedding coordinators that work for them, and unfortunately they assigned us the one who has only been there a few months and was very disorganized. I do not know if this decision was based on the fact that we had an afternoon wedding booked, not an evening wedding (bringing in less revenue), but I do know that they had another wedding immediately following ours (even though ours was the first to be booked for that date), and we were rushed through our reception so much that there was only time for the 1st dance, last dance and one other....didn't even have time for father/daughter dance.

A wedding coordinator's job is to familiarize herself with each bride and her wishes, etc., BEFORE having the walk through. Dale was very unorganized from the very first run through meeting two weeks before the wedding. She kept asking us things that had already been communicated with Brigitta and written on the contract. She assumed it was going to be an outdoor wedding, which was not EVER what the bride wanted, and was clearly indicated at such with Brigitta at our first meeting. I contacted Brigitta after the run through and voiced my concerns about the lack of organization and lack of confidence on Dale's part to "take charge" and organize everything...I was reassured that Dale was "very good", and when I asked Brigitta if she was new, she admitted she had only been with them 5-6 months. I should have insisted on another wedding coordinator right then and there, but not wanting to "make a scene", I did not.

At the rehearsal, it only got worse. Dale was obviously unclear about how to organize things for the indoor wedding that Heidi had requested. She kept saying, "It's Heidi's wedding and we will do what the bride wants,", but if what the bride was requesting was not logistically feasible in the hall, then it was HER responsibility to tell Heidi and offer other workable alternatives....she kept asking Heidi "How do you think we should do this?"; that is why SHE is the coordinator and Heidi didn't know what to say, because she didn't know how to orchestrate things....

It made things more stressful due to her lack of organization. The way she had the chairs set up for the grooms side made it impossible for them to see the bride coming down the staircase and walking to the altar. Also, she kept trying to get the reception finished by 3 and the contract clearly stated that we had the hall until 330. They had to rush through everything and didn't get time to get around and greet all the guests or dance. There was a lot of time wasted in lining up of the bridal party for introductions into the reception because Dale changed the lineup and introduction list that Heidi had already sent the DJ who had it all under control until Dale gave him a totally different and inaccurate list, which required him to spend at least 15 minutes getting everyone lined up and rechecking all the names.
It would have been far better to have had Dale "shadowing" another more experienced wedding coordinator to be able to "learn the ropes", and also to ensure that Heidi's wedding coordinator was top notch.

Like I said, the venue was wonderful, all the vendors were wonderful. But the negative experience in dealing with an new, uncertain, disorganized wedding coordinator would prevent me from recommending this lovely venue to others.

The food was delicious, the cake was amazing, and our wedding coordinator was super sweet. However, we learned a few weeks prior to our wedding that a second wedding was booked for noon. We weren't able to decorate as planned before the wedding. We also paid our photographer extra money to reserve family photos before the wedding ceremony only to find out that the noon wedding was still in progress when our limo arrived at the time we were told to arrive by our wedding coordinator. Upon our arrival, the wedding coordinator for the noon wedding, Amanda, was extremely rude. She was only concerned about her wedding party and was extremely rude to me and my girls . . . not how you want to be treated on your big day. I would not recommend any wedding venue that books more than one wedding in one day, especially considering how much we had invested.

The best thing about this Venue is the quiet location and beautiful grounds and home. Owner keeps home very clean and well-kept and decorated beautifully. Problem was some of the suggested vendors mainly the cater and wedding coordinater provided drop the ball on many important things and during my reception Me the bride and my mother were running around putting out fires between the vendors and pretty much having to run the show. Not what we paid for.

It was suppose to be an outside wedding but it was raining. They set 80 guests in one small corner the bridesmaids and groomsmen were crammed against the walls. The front row was literally I step away from the bride. The aisle was about maybe 2 feet to walk down. Very poor wedding planning for a big party which wasn't big at all. The ceremony set up was ridiculous but the reception and ball room were great. Definitely would not recommend an inside weddin they are definitely not prepared for it or the wedding planner this time wasn't. I felt sorry for the couple they should get a discount for such bad planning. I felt like I was walking down a plane aisle if you want comparison and the way the guests were crammed together.
