Owner was great all the way up to the end. We were told that we could have some alcohol at the venue and that this would be added to our contract. New contract was never sent. Then a few weeks before wedding we were told limited alcohol only for toasting. This was due to a previous wedding party that tried to run a tractor into a building. The venue really should have a limit on the amount of guests. The water ran out during the middle of our wedding, so the toilets couldn't be used. We had about 70 guests. We didn't use much water the night before. We had maybe 6 people total that stayed at the cabin.
The owner said that she would be there to help and be there for the wedding but she attended a wedding out of state. She had her mother fill in. The outlets in the bathroom upstairs didn't work. You can imagine the bridal party trying to get hair done with no outlets. We notified the owners mother that filled in and she acted like no big deal and didn't try to help solve the problem. My wedding was on a Saturday and we did not leave until that next Friday for our honeymoon.I was notified the next Friday two sheets were missing while on our honeymoon. Someone packed them and I was unaware. I asked the owner if I could send them when I got back into the country. The owner seemed fine and didn't tell us she needed them the next day for a wedding. The sheets were not off the beds but were in a spare cabinet. I emailed the owner for a personal address to send the sheets back as soon as I got back into the country and she then told me she would have to charge me $260.00 for the sheets. Again, I could have had my mother overnight them so she would have had them. So we did explain this to her and she agreed to knock the price down for the two sheets to $120.00. Still outrageous, but understand that our guest did take and pack them and we were responsible. This place is amazing and would have loved to continue going back year after year.
