Katelyn & Hope made our day absolutely stunning and incredibly low stress. This venue from front to back, top to bottom is worth everything you spend. They kept us in the loop on literally everything, they did all of the setup and gave us a ceremony and reception 10x then what we imagined. We knew what we wanted, what they took it and gave more. We had ideas as well but weren’t sure about how to do it, and they absolutely came through. Everyone we worked with throughout the entire process from the walk through, payments, planning, everything. When I say I HIGHLY recommend this venue, I highly recommend them. Katelyn was our coordinator and hope did the set up, and they made everything about our day beyond perfect and eased all the dress outside of butterflies that I and my husband had. -

I absolutely loved having my wedding here! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating! All of the staff and coordinators are so helpful and understanding. We only had a 5 month long engagement and Cedar Hall made everything so smooth and easy! The have pretty much everything you could need such as food and flowers. Plus, the grounds are gorgeous all year round! Perfect place for an outdoor wedding--I highly recommend! -

This place was like living out a fairy tale. I wasn't one of those girls who grew up dreaming of my wedding, but Cedar Hall made me feel like a princess. They listened to what I wanted and made my ideas work. My family and bridal party were also able to have a good time without worrying about all the details. I would give them 10 stars out of 5. If you are considering Cedar Hall, I say, "Go for it! You won't be disappointed." -

If you are considering Cedar Hall as your wedding venue, go for it. Cedar Hall was everything we hoped for and more. Obviously the place is beautiful, but what sets them apart is their dedication to giving you the wedding you want. They are so responsive and will do whatever they can to make your vision a reality. My wedding had some challenging circumstances regarding weather i.e. a downpour that started right before the ceremony which I was hell-bent on having outside. Well, huge shout out to Carol (our day-of coordinator) because she made that happen and never stopped smiling despite immense stress. Carol looked out for us all night. One small example that stuck with me is how she noticed I (bride) was immediately swept up in people at the reception and diverted away from the bar. She came over and asked me if I would like a glass of wine- she read my mind. Everyone at Cedar Hall was so wonderful. The staff all reception long were fantastic, extremely professional. I had so many people tell me how good the food was (agree). overall, I highly recommend. Our day was absolutely perfect. -

Rozzanne Sent on 10/24/2017The first time I saw Cedar Hall, I knew it was the only place I wanted to have my reception at. There is no other place like it! Everything from the main house, The Stables and garden was beautiful!!! There are so many pretty details!!
Picking out the food was tough because there is so much to choose from. Our food came from the Fall/Winter menu and everything we picked out was amazing!!
Our guests were so impressed with everything and complimented how the venue looked and how good the food was!!
The Cedar Hall staff was also super helpful and great to work with. If I had a question, the ladies were just an email/text away— I would receive responses pretty quickly. I especially can’t thank my day-of wedding coordinator, Carol Johnson, enough!!
My husband and I cannot get over how perfect our reception at Cedar Hall was!! -

We had our wedding here earlier this year, the staff are so very friendly and attentive, which made the whole day go that little bit more easier, and more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions made sure that everyone of our guests had plenty. The grounds are a beautiful sight, not to mention the building itself. Really could not have asked for a better day! -

They were one of the few venues that allowed me to have everything I wanted in one: ceremony and reception, outdoor ceremony, plated catering, staff on site to help with the process, etc.
They were flexible with making changes to the catering as well.
I shopped and toured all around Memphis and some places charged $10,000 just to use the venue...but this place allowed me to to have catering and the venue for that price.
Definitely the best bang for our buck!

Cedar Hall was the most wonderful location for our wedding. The grounds are absolutely stunning. We had an early November wedding and the foliage on the trees set the stage for the most dreamy fall wedding. Every inch of the property is a photo moment. I can not rave enough about the beauty of this venue (both indoor and outdoor). Their catering wing has a wonderfully expansive menu. Just about every culinary option you can think of is available. The food and drink all looked and tasted delicious.
If you are interested in a venue that does-it-for-you-so-you-don't-have-to, this is your spot. I decided against a wedding planner because Cedar Hall assists with all of the small details. (including but not limited to table settings, signage, send off sparklers, welcome beverage stations, COVID 19 safety supplies, smooth ceremony to cocktail hour to reception transitions, day of ceremony/reception coordinator and so much more)
I worked with Cedar Hall before and during the global pandemic. Their attention to regulations and protocols mandated by the government was professional and appreciated. They worked with me up to the last week on guest list and capacity planning in the midst of ever changing and shifting cases. I would absolutely recommend them as a venue based on their professionalism, quality of work and overall excellent experience. -

The Perfect Day
It was perfect! They worked with me on last minute details (though there weren’t many). Even though wedding day is stressful, they do everything in their power to make sure it is all perfect for the moment you walk down the aisle. I would highly recommend them! -

Elizabeth Sent on 10/03/2018The beauty of this House, garden, and the Stables speaks for itself! It was literally my dream venue for an outdoor garden wedding and it did not disappoint. At times communication could be difficult as I was trying to plan the wedding from 9 hours away but for all the big parts of the wedding worked out. This was a day I'll never forget!! Thanks Cedar Hall!

If you're reading this, you're shopping wedding venues- congratulations! By now, you probably already know that Cedar Hall is gorgeous & has a great reputation which is true and well deserved. However, I want to take this moment to share with you a few things that I wish I'd known prior to selecting Cedar Hall as my wedding venue:
1) Communication was frustrating & disappointing. I waited days for email responses and felt completely forgotten about at multiple times during the lead up to my wedding day. I've since learned that the way they have their inbox system set up may be inefficient, but it does not excuse the way it made me, as a client and bride, feel. The staff was also out of office several times during the week without an autoresponder; letting me know a response would be delayed would have made me feel much better served. I felt that the team was not staffed appropriately to handle the volume of business they have or that my business was unimportant. I spoke to Noel on a couple of occasions about this, & she was warm & understanding, but ineffective at changing the tide with her team. Unfortunately, this perception was never truly corrected, though our Day Of experience was flawless (more on that in a moment).
2) Plan to spend more than you think. Weddings are just expensive, but was still floored by the estimates given on the floral portion of my Cedar Hall experience. When John Mark first contacted me, he sent a new info sheet & one section was on expected budget. After we met (and I had to follow up over a week later to receive my estimate), it was over $3k more than my budget, with no explanation or handholding. If I had a magic wand, I'd have wanted John Mark to tell me during our meeting that my vision was bigger than my budget, but to just receive an email with a "here ya go!" with an enormous invoice was a shock. Don't get me wrong- John Mark is incredibly talented & deserves to be compensated for his time/effort and I was truly in awe of the beauty he created for my wedding day,but I wish I had been handled differently and been able to feel the sensitivity with so much money was being spent.
I was originally pleased with the idea that I would not need to shop around for florals, catering, & alcohol as it is all included in the package, but in hindsight, I wish I'd been able to shop market norms for these items to ensure I was receiving a fair deal.
3) If you plan to have a first look before your ceremony (which I see 99% of brides doing now) you will not have time to enjoy the bridal suite with the regular package of 7 hours at $7,000 if you plan to also have a normal reception length. An extra hour is $500 & is needed to make a reality all the photos you see of you and your bridesmaids getting ready in the bridal suite.
Cedar Hall, and specifically, Carol Johnson made the day of our wedding flawless. I could not have dreamed of a better bouquet, a better coordinator, or a more beautiful setting in which to begin our marriage. It was indeed a fairytale as others have said.
In conclusion, Cedar Hall delivered, but with a frustrating process. I do hope that the team at Cedar Hall reads this and takes to heart that communication desperately needs to be improved upon, whether by a different email system or auto responders when they are OOO. Brides and their families are spending a great deal of money to feel taken care of and inconsistent communication and a lack of realistic expectations fail to meet the mark.
