    We love Curated Events for all our tenting needs!

    Curated Events is our go-to company to rely on for those rainy days. La’Toya is a pleasure to work with and the rest of their staff is also fantastic. They make it so easy for our clients to reserve a tent in the chance of poor weather and take care of the set up and break down. They transform our outdoor deck space into an area that can be used all year long!

    Amazing vendor - professional, caring, experienced

    We worked with La'Toya at CuratedEvents to build out a walkway over a pool for our wedding. First, La'Toya is a gift of a human being and any bride would be lucky to have her on their team. She took my random idea and turned it into reality. She did CAD drawings, site visits, and was there to ensure my vision came to life day of. Second, CuratedEvents are professionals, they show up on time, communicate well, and perform at a high level. I could not recommend this company and La'Toya more! They made my wedding dreams come true!

    Beautiful rentals!

    My wedding vision couldn't have come to life without Curated Events/ Capital Party Rentals. Nothing was missing from the delivery, and I'm so happy with how everything came together. Margaret and Aisha went above and beyond helping me decide on what rentals I wanted.

    I wholeheartedly recommend!

    We used CPR to rent chargers for our wedding. When booking them, they were organized, professional and responsive. They dropped them off the day before and picked them up the Monday after with no problems. It's like we didn't even have to think about it once we booked. Plus they were gorgeous - more beautiful than in the picture. I recommend CPR.

    We used CPR through our caterer, Eat & Smile, who had a relationship with them. We ordered pretty basic tables, linens, and chairs without seeing anything ahead of time - but we were SO happy with the results! The light gray linens we chose for our tables looked amazing with our venue, and everything was cleanly pressed and looked fantastic. Plus, we opted to have a dance floor installed, which they did PERFECTLY! Everything was set up expertly by the time we arrived, and was removed immediately after the event. We did see a few other rental orders from some other weddings that our coordinator had done, and they seemed to have a really cool, extensive variety options. Prices were very much in line with others in the area, and we liked that they were very familiar with our other vendors. You can't go wrong with CPR!

    Thus place has everything you need for a wedding! My only regret is not having a bigger budget to spend; their gorgeous showroom will make you want to raise your decorations budget.

    We used Capital to provide tables, chairs, linens, and cupcake stands for our daughter's wedding. They were easy to work with, professional, and we were very pleased with the quality of the times provided. The Western Weave table cloths were beautiful.

    Ed Santiago and Stacey Schanzer at Capital Party Rentals were absolutely amazing to work with! They were kind, courteous and extremely helpful with all our wedding needs.
    They met us at all times of the day, worked with us on estimates and options and helped us understand linen and tent options to make an informed, educated choice.

    They met us for walk throughs, helped asses the venue and coordinated with other vendors to ensure all details were taken care of. On setup day, they arrived on time, performed a thorough professional job setting up all our rented decor and had a smile on the entire time!

    Capital Party Rentals possesses a huge inventory of any and all event decor needs one may have. They are true value for money and respect your time as you would expect a vendor to.
    All in all a great vendor to have on your side for your big day!

    We rented a tent liner for our Mount Vernon Inn wedding. Aisha at CapCity Party Rentals was great to work with! Our invoices were timely and the tent liner looked beautiful when it was installed. Everything was handled with professionalism and care.

    The tent that Capital Party Rentals provided was so beautiful! I had gone back and forth between wanting the look of sidewalls and just an open air tent with drapes around the poles. I went with draped poles, but at the last minute requested that three of the four sides have sidewalls ( with one side open ) added b/c of cold weather. Jodi was so accommodating with my day before the wedding request. The tent looked perfect. She was a pleasure to work with and very helpful with our lighting requests. I would highly recommend using them!

    We worked primarily with Kathleen at Capital Party Rentals and were extremely pleased with every step of the process. Kathleen met with us twice and looked over pictures of our venue and flowers to help us pick linens and chargers that would tie everything together. Our venue had a very busy wallpaper that we thought would overpower the room, but with Kathleen's help, we were able to choose linens, napkins, and chargers that truly tied the whole design together and gave the room that perfect feel that we were envisioning.

    We didn't have any direct contact with Capital Party Rentals, our planner took care of all of this. But the setup was extremely beautiful and problem free. Even though we didn't get to meet them personally, we couldn't have been happier.

    Excellent experience with Capital Party Rentals! The ordering process very easy. Jillian (Dulles) was the sales representative that helped me, she was great to work with. Would absolutely use them again!

    We were required to rent a tent for our venue. Capital Party Rentals had a custom tent, so we contacted them. I can't say enough good things about this company!

    For starters, we did a site visit with snow and ice on the ground. Also, the staff were incredibly helpful - I never waited more than 24 hours for an email response or more than a couple of days for invoice changes to take effect. We had a lot of changes...I mean A LOT (up until the very last minute)...and Aisha never complained and got it done.

    I wasn't there when the tent was set up and the linens/tables/chairs were delivered. However, everything was exactly as we agreed when I arrived and I didn't get an additional bill from the venue, so I know it was all taken down within an hour of the reception ending. If you need to rent a tent, tables, chairs, china, silverware, etc. I think this is your best bet!

    Capital Party rentals supplied the linens for my wedding and they were reasonably priced and very good quality. Our contact was Audrey and she was a huge help and worked with us throughout the entire process!

    Lynn Clay was the one to help me with the rental of chairs for my wedding. They were folding white chairs and they looked lovely. Clean, not rickety, very white. I was able to barter the price based on booking early and the number of chairs I rented. Lynn was extremely responsive to all of me emails and never kept me waiting. She was even flexible with the number of chairs I picked up - I paid for 120 to get the deal, but I was able to only pick up 105 chairs for my 100 guests. I was glad that they were so flexible and let me pick up fewer chairs. I can't speak for their delivery system as we picked up and dropped off the chairs to save money.

    We had a very positive experience working with this vendor. Margaret, the event consultant, was wonderfully responsive even though I only contacted them about two weeks before our wedding (due to problems with a different vendor). We live nearby so were able to pick up the table overlays and napkins a day before the wedding and drop them off at the venue (one less thing to do on the "day" was much appreciated) and we did not have to return them until Monday. I found their prices to be fair and would certainly recommend this vendor to others.

    Well... I lucked out. I did not really have to work directly with them. My wedding day vendor did most of the organizing and ordering of the party rentals. My vendor gave me a list of different rental packages, (chairs, linens, tent/tent lining). I went to Capital Rental and viewed what was included in each package offered by my vendor and placed the order right there. When I needed or wanted something changed, I told my vendor who then made them for me. To be honest with you, my wedding vendor should be writing this review, because I did not have much experience with Capital.

    Great place to rent our linens from!!!! They let my mom pick them up a day early since she lives not even two miles from their offices! We had so many comments on how nice the linens were. I had to call multiple time to change the number of the linens and they were always polite and accommodating.

    I enjoyed working with Capital Party Rentals. They have a lot of options to choose from, and were happy to give me samples to take to the hotel so we could see how everything would actually look in the ballroom, which turned out to be a huge factor in deciding the colors of the linens. The room looked beautiful on the wedding day!

    We initially called on Capital Party Rentals after we saw the prices from the recommended vendors at Lansdowne for table linens - the prices were outrageous!

    After some research, we decided to go with Capital Party Rentals for our linens, napkins, and chairs. We told them what we wanted and they set up a table for us, so we could see what the tables would actually look like. It was a HUGE help and we even ended up ordering chairs last minute with their advice. In the end, our tables looked beautiful. They were very helpful and reliable!!

    Capital Party Rentals was very easy to work with and they have a large selection of rentals. I went to their location in Dulles which has a variety of rental options on display. Seeing so many options in person took the guesswork out of the selection process. There are lower cost options, but we are happy with the quality of service and quality of rental items they provided. I would have been nervous going with someone less experienced. They came highly recommended and they met our expectations.

    I worked with Aisha to rent items for my wedding reception and she was a joy to work with! She was extremely detail oriented, knew her rental information, responsive, and helpful. She event took the time to create a floor plan with me when I had no idea what was going on. Since I was planning the wedding myself, this was SUPER helpful.

    I think rental prices are crazy expensive, so it's very hard for me to justify spending the money, but Aisha did convince me that having them handle my rentals would save me a lot of sweat and torn muscles at the end of the day. I think she was right! And I'm glad I chose to work with Aisha because of the great customer service. That makes SUCH a difference.

    High quality, beautiful rentals

    My husband and I recently worked with Curated Events to rent linens and dishes for our wedding, and it turned out wonderfully! We live in the DC area but had our wedding in NC, so being able to visit the Tyson Corner showroom to pick everything out and then coordinate with the Raleigh location was really helpful. They had a wide selection of everything to choose from, although they are on the more luxury, expensive side. Our wedding turned out beautifully and we're obsessed with how the table settings turned out! The only feedback for the showroom is that it's really hard to find! Clearer instructions and/or signage would be helpful. My husband and I wandered around the building for a while trying to find the showroom and ended up running late to our appointment because of it.

    Upscale Rentals and good service

    We rented a tent, chairs, linens, and a dance floor from curated events for our wedding. Communication got a little spotty during our event planning and we requested a new point of contact (La'Toya). Once we started working with La'Toya,, everything went perfectly smooth. She was so helpful when we added a dance floor last minute and all our rentals were delivered seamlessly. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for upscale wedding rentals and would specifically suggest working with La'Toya; thank you Curated Events!

    Great selection!

    With so many rental companies to choose from for your wedding, it can be so easy to get overwhelmed, but truly look no further than Capital Party Rentals. From start to finish, Jason and Nancy made things so easy for me, even when I wasn’t the easiest bride to deal with at times. They have such a wide array of everything wedding related to choose from, and were full of great advice and knowledge to help me narrow it down to things I actually needed or hadn't thought of. Would highly recommend Capital for all your event rentals needs!

    Our wedding planner works with Capital Party Rentals on a regular basis and so we were able to rent chivari chairs at a really fantastic price. They were timely, and looked fantastic in the reception. They truly made a huge difference in the overall look of our wedding.

    I worked with Margaret at Capital Party Rentals. She was a pleasure to work with and very, very accommodating of my requests. I rented square 5' tables for the reception and table linens. Margaret was helpful and knowledgable about room designs, considerations you should take into account when selected tables (center piece, abilty of your guests to talk across the table, look and feel in the room, etc.). She also helped me track down just the right shade of purple that I was looking for, for my table linens. She sent a sample table setting to my food tasting so I could see a the complete look...something I really appreciated since I am a visual person.

    Everything was delivered on-time and in good condition. I would use Capital Party Rentals again for an event in the future.

    I rented table linens and napkins for the wedding reception. The prices were reasonable. They deliver also but because of the regulations at the wedding site I went to pick it up 2 days before and returned it 1 day after which was great. They had them ready to go when I went to pick it up-they were on hangers, pressed and ready to go. Unfortunately the catering company lost a few table linens and napkins but the fee I had to pay to replace them was completely reasonable(less than 50 bucks). Maxine and Jodi were awesome to work with.

    I ordered both their large 12 person tables and chairs. The ordering process was extremely easy and the salespeople were very helpful. The delivery charge was also reasonable. They were delivered on time and in great condition. My only negative was the price of linens. It ended up being cheaper for me to buy linens than rent them from Capital Party Rentals. Overall I would recommend this rental company.

    Capital Party Rentals was a required vendor through our wedding venue. They provided the tent, perimeter lighting, chandelier, and other various tent-related items for our wedding. The tent was installed well and turned out exactly how we expected it to be. We had booked our venue over a year in advance and communications with Capital Party Rentals in the beginning were painful to say the least. However, this issue was resolved and leading up to our event there were no more issues with contacting them or responsiveness. In fact, Jodi was actually very accommodating and willing to talk us through additional options, the weather forecast (haha), and more! It was a pleasure working with her, especially in the last 6 months leading up to our wedding. She was honest and willing to go through our options and packages. We followed her recommendations and the setup looked great! In my opinion, the pricing seems a bit high for rented materials, but again, we were not able to compare or choose vendors so I'm not sure how competitive their pricing is. I will note that they have a large amount of supplies and are flexible and accommodating with last minute requests. A week prior to our wedding, we recognized that we needed to rent 2 high chairs for our rehearsal dinner and a long extension cord for a popcorn machine at our wedding. I called and they had no problem accommodating this request - both were affordable rentals and made everything run so much smoother from our end. All things considered, I was pleased and would recommend them to others.

    I chose this vendor for one rental of flower columns to not require our friend/florist to have to bring additional items to the wedding. While the responsiveness and cost for the columns were great, it would be nice if they provided some sort of weight for them if the day is going to be windy. Luckily there were no issues with flowers or columns on the ground.

    I went in to rent pipes and drapes for my wedding, I told them my venue had an 18 ft ceiling. They make me wait for an hour and was kind enough to set up a foot of pipes and drapes for me on the spot. I thought that was very nice of them. Then a day later, I called to get the length of the drape and they told me it can only go up to 14ft. I was irritated, I felt they lacked common sense. Why would I want 14ft drapes covering 18ft tall rooms?

    I ended up just renting a cake stand from them. Cake stand was easy to pickup, clean and shiny and dropping off was easy too. Since I had it over a long holiday weekend, they did not charge me extra. Easy to deal with, minus the common sense part.

    We needed to rent linens b/c the Fairmont only has white, and there was nothing white at my wedding! We went to DC Rentals, and they didn?t have anything I liked. So then we drove out to Capital Rentals in Sterling, and found what we needed! They were very helpful and accommodating, and very reasonably priced. As far as I know, everything arrived on time and the overlays were beautiful!

    We were very pleased with Capital's end result with the quality of the equipment we rented (everything from tent, chairs, lanterns and dance floor) and their setup. We worked with Jodi and she was absolutely amazing and very flexible with our needs and during price negotiations. We were not sure how everything would look until the day of, so we were a little apprehensive - but the tent and lights looked even better than what we expected.

    Sarah Robb at Capital Party Rental was specifically recommended by our catering manager, Scott Boger, at Meadowlark Botanical Garden (The Atrium), and she helped make our day perfect!

    Linens were not high on our list of priorities... I called Sarah and told her that ivory pintuck tablecloths and matching napkins would be fine. We didn't really have "wedding colors" for our garden wedding. The bridesmaids were wearing black and the colors from the garden were going to provide all the color we needed... or so we thought.

    Sarah knew our venue and our florist and suggested that ivory would be "too boring" and suggested sage green instead. WOW! She was absolutely right! The linens that she picked for us worked so well with the venue, the table settings, centerpieces etc. It looked perfect!

    We would recommend Sarah and Capital Party Rental to anyone planning an event.

    The staff were very helpful and their showroom was beautiful. What i loved about them was how beautiful the tent lining and dance floor was well putted together. I was very happy on my wedding day for that.

    The gold chairs and charger plates added the finishing touches to our reception. Everything was delivered on time for inspection. The only thing I could say is that the gold on some of the chairs rubbed off on a few gentlemen's coats...I wasn't able to see if this happened to any females. I'm not sure what caused this to happen, but overall I was pleased with the responsiveness and professionalism of the company.

    We chose Capital Party Rentals because they're the biggest and with the most selection in the area. Things started out pretty rough for us... and we ended up renting just the pole tent, pole drapes, lighting and dance floor through them. But I got to say that the one thing we most happy with is how great their pole tent, pole trapes, and lantern lighting turn out. It was absolutely beautiful! They also set up and break down the tent on time, so it was pretty smooth toward the end.

    I did not have much interaction with them. I called to set up my chair rental for the wedding ceremony. Unfortunately, we had rain and had to move our ceremony inside...therefore we never used the rental chairs. The chairs were delivered and picked up on time.

    Overall, Capital Party was very easy to work with. At times, they were a little slow in responding to e-mails for phone calls, but I am someone that likes a response right away. We had to make multiple changes to our order in the months before the wedding, but they were very flexible in accommodating those changes.

    When they came to drop off, they only really set up the tent and dance floor and left everything else just under the tent. We would have liked if they could have at least setup the tables and maybe chairs, but it wasn't the end of the world that they didn't.

    Overall we were satisfied with their service, but there is some room for improvement in customer service.

    This was an unusual experience. The tent liner, pole curtains and rice paper lamps were beautiful. We were very pleased. However...Capital Party Rentals was unresponsive for long periods of time. I had asked about the cost of a chandelier, which ended up being out of our price range, and they left it at that. When I called back to see if there were other lighting/decorating options, it ended up there were several. No idea why they didn't mention it earlier. They set up the day before the wedding and didn't have enough curtains, and the curtains they had were too short. They said that our venue had given them the wrong count and measurements...that may be true, but we also picked CPR because we knew they had done several events at our venue.

    Overall, Capital Party Rentals met our needs and were accommodating to our location (Upperville, VA) and weird drop off/pick up times we needed. However, we were a little disappointed in the quality of the tables and chairs that arrived. We had to repair 2 of the tables due to loose screws/being unstable and we had to wipe down all the chairs (white resin) because they were dirty. I had a difficult time getting response to e-mails a few times which required me to follow up with them repeatedly . However, Maxine was very helpful when we went in to the show room and in arranging all the details.

    Capital Party Rentals was an OK vendor. They work with our caterer, so I didn't pick them. I did, however, visit their showroom to pick out tableware and linens, and they were friendly and helped it go smoothly. They were also very responsive to emails, and it was easy to make changes to the order in the weeks before the wedding.

    Problem is, they failed to deliver most of the entree plates to the reception. As a result, my caterer had to scramble to wash the first-course dishes so that they could be used for the plated entrees. It wasn't a disaster, but it made life harder for the other vendors as well as my friend who was helping me coordinate the wedding.

    I never heard from my contact at Capital Party Rentals about the plate situation, but they offered me a credit (through the caterer) for the plates that didn't arrive. So there's that.

    My husband and I used Capital Party Rentals for our wedding held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Carnegie Institute in Washington, D.C, as they came recommended to us by our caterer. Outside of 5’ and 6’ rounds and 5’, 6’, and 8’ rectangular tables that the Carnegie offered, we needed to rent all other items which included: Chavari Chairs, Linens, High Top Round Tables, Glassware, China and Flatware.

    Pros
    • Aisha who was our liaison at CPR was very friendly, responsive, and patient with all my e-mails
    • Flexible and accommodating to changes in our order
    • All items were delivered to the venue the day prior to the event and were picked up at the conclusion of the reception without issue
    • Large selection of glassware, china, flatware, chairs, linens, etc. to choose from (all on display at the Dulles showroom)

    Cons
    • All available products and pricing not available online (planned our wedding from NYC thus e-mail communication and online browsing was critical)
    • Having selected our linens 13 months in advance, I received a call the week of the wedding that 2 were damaged and they were unable to replace them. After going to the Dulles location and selecting a new ones, there was an issue with those. Although it was very frustrating going back and forth on something I planned well in advance Aisha was apologetic and gave us a discount on the replacement linens.

    As a super organized bride I was happy with our overall experience with CPR. I caution brides to take initiative and review everything to make sure the order is correct and you have everything you need as you will be the only person to catch a mistake! Lastly, be sure to ask about ALL costs (delivery, fuel surcharge, setup, etc.) as these can really add up and break a budget!

    This review is tough... I was married at Strong Mansion and Capital Party Rental's is where you get the tent extension and liner from. You can't get these pieces from any other vendor, they are exclusive for this particular venue and those specific pieces.

    Everything went great when it came time to getting the liner and extension - very helpful and both arrived and were set up properly.

    We also purchased heating from Capital Party because our wedding was Mid-October so the weather was unpredictable. We were told that if any propane tanks were unopened that we would be refunded the amounts of those tanks. I have e-mailed countless times now and have not even received an answer as to whether or not we had any tanks that were unopened to see if we would be getting a refund. A simple answer would be nice.. yes or no.

    Another issue I had was with string lights I had ordered. Everything was all set before the wedding and the night before at rehearsal it was clear that Capital Party had already been to the venue, delivered and set up the liner, extension and heating system. I noticed the string lights weren't there so I quickly e-mailed my sales rep. I did not receive any response. The next day when we got there, luckily pretty early, I noticed the string lights were still not there. My bridesmaids and I e-mailed and called every number we could find. We never got a hold of anyone, but while my soon-to-be husband and I were taking pictures before the ceremony the company arrived with the lights. We had multiple conversations about how apparently they could not put the lights up because of the liner and the tables were all set up. I kept telling them the lights weren't supposed to go under the liner... just strung below like a swag. Finally they understood and went forward with installing.

    That was the most annoying ordeal I never imagined I would be dealing with on the day of my wedding. It should have been handled better.

    We used Capital Party Rentals for our tent wedding at Oatlands. Oatlands has in their contract you are required to use Capital Party for the tent, so we didn't have any choice in this area. If you have the option to choose whatever tent vendor, I would stop reading & look elsewhere! The lack of communication was not worth the headache. I'm not sure if Jodie is that absent with all clients, or just with Oatlands clients because we were bound to use the company, but it was impossible at times to get a hold of her. Numerous emails, phone calls, etc. would go ignored. We spoke with others who have worked with Capital Party & found we were not in the minority with our frustrations.

    When we met with her in person, she was great. She painted a great picture of what the tent would look like on the wedding day, and let us know we could drop anything on the contract we didn't want/need about 3 days before the wedding. We had discussed in detail using the 'Edison lights' for our tent. I explicitly commented I did NOT want the tiny 'Christmas' lights. Fast forward 9 months later... a week before the wedding she tells us we have the 'Christmas' lights reserved. Unfortunately for us we did not have anything written in the contract stating 'Edison' lights, and she didn't have any notes. Thankfully we had it sorted out where we could have the 'Edison' lights, but it added unneeded stress to what was otherwise a stress-free wedding planning experience.

    I have nothing but glowing reviews for every vendor we worked with EXCEPT Capital Party Rentals. The tent looked great on the wedding day, but Jodie needs to seriously improve her communication. Hopefully Oatlands will soon switch away from this vendor.

    We hired Capital Party Rentals for our small backyard wedding. Our catering vendor had a working relationship/deal with them that seemed to have some added benefits. Because of that relationship, my rental order was assigned to a specific Capital Party Rentals rep that dealt with all orders associated with our catering vendor. I chose mostly basic linens, chairs, etc. I was not looking for extravagant rentals. The selection and prices were reasonable. The quality was average. My displeasure was with my specific assigned rep. She was not very thorough, detail oriented, punctual or responsive. It took several emails and follow ups for simple questions and I still would have to call her assistant to get her to respond. I wanted to change reps but like I said, she was the only rep associated with our caterer. She was always very apologetic and overall a nice person, however her customer service only improved marginally. A few days before our wedding, we had a hurricane bearing down on us and needed to change the order drastically. I must say that our rep did step up to the plate and got us everything we needed. In the end I would recommend this rental company but probably not our rep.

    The staff to set up and break down showed up on time and were quick! Equipment rented was priced similar to other companies in the area and was correct upon delivery.

    The only down side would be that they are super busy and its difficult to get a hold of anyone via email or phone so you will be waiting a while to hear back if you want changes to your order.

    The person who was in charge of our order;Jodi was a unprofessional with not returning my phone calls and when I did speak to her she was quite rude. But no complaints besides the rest of the staff.

    We rented chairs. The sales rep I dealt with was great, right up until the day of the event. But the people they sent on site were not so great. They spoke virtually no english, which made communicating our needs difficult and stressful. They also required detailed supervision (thank goodness my father in law was available and able to take care of it) to get the chairs set up. They were not easy to deal with on site.

    I have a middle of the road opinion about this event rental company. My wedding planner interacted with them most of the time, but it seemed difficult to find things that I wanted. I did an inspection of our wedding tent on the day that it arrived and noticed that several sidewalls had black marks all over them. My wedding planner contacted for replacements and they charged us! We were later able to have the charges removed but it was quite annoying that they were trying to get away with that. I monitored all of the invoices closely and feel that if I hadn't, we would have paid for unnecessary items. Make sure you keep a close eye on where the $$ goes...it adds up quickly!

    Aisha Malik is unresponsive

    Our venue has an existing tent that lives on the property and it's from Capital Party. If we need to rent a tent liner or a tent extension, we have to go through capital party because it's a tent that was purchased through them and is now discontinued so other vendors don't offer anything for it. Aisha Malik is the person who was in charge of our portfolio and she is the absolute worst. I've sent her emails requesting the payment portal so that WE CAN PAY and she's ignored it, I've called and left voicemails - no response, I've event texted and her read receipts are on so I know she's read them.... ignored me. This went on for the entire duration of our contract AFTER we signed... after 3 months of trying to get her to respond (I attempted to contact her on a weekly basis), I called a friend from the industry and said she's known for this kind of behavior. She recommended I call the general Sales line from their website, which I did. Yonis was the associate that picked up, apologized, and took care of it right away. He is the only reason I'm not rating all of this 1 star.

    Initially I was very excited about renting chairs from them. I was mislead about delivery, about the color of the chairs and about setup. When I called to ask if they had natural wood chairs with white pads they said yes. Only when I called to confirm a week before was I told they had tan pads. No big deal but when they delivered them they walked in, rolled in chair laying flat stacked high on skids with big straps and left them there and walked out. They do not set up or even take the straps off the skids. It costs extra to set up but no one even offered me the chance to pay for set up. I didn't even know it was an option. I called to complain but no help there. I heard bad things about them, I should have listened. Still, I liked the chairs ok and they made the venue to look nice.

    I didn't read the reviews about Capital Party Rentals before using them, but I wish I would have! Like some other reviewers, I could not get my contact to call me back. Everyone I spoke with on the phone (Theresa specifically) was incredibly rude--like it was an inconvenience for me to do business with them. Maybe they're just really understaffed? Jason was the one shining star--when we finally just showed up without an appointment since no one would ever call us back--he was incredibly helpful and respectful of our budget.
    I eventually got to the point with Capital where I asked the caterer to deal with them because I couldn't get a response from my assigned contact.
    On the day of the wedding, they delivered the wrong colored chairs and napkins (they had told me they didn't have the color napkins I picked, and then they said they did have them, but they delivered my 2nd choice anyway). I didn't even bother to complain about the chairs being wrong--based on my prior interactions, I doubt anyone at Capital cares.

    Absolute worst vendor ever!! I got so frustrated with them that a month before the wedding I changed the order completely and only order the one linen that no one else had. Whenever you get anyone on the phone, they sound like they hate their job. There are much better and happier people to work with in the DC area.

    Unfortunately, our wedding venue site had contracted with Capital Party Rentals to do all the tents associated with our location, so we didn't have any other options. (We had options for everything else, though.)

    Wow, where do I start? I don't know if the staff is wildly over-worked, over-booked, or just not good at what they do, but it was like pulling teeth to get Jodi to call me back, write me back, or just respond in any way when I contacted her. I called to get a quote on tables and chairs so I could compare apples to apples with caterers (some who could do tables and chairs, some who could not), and never got a call back. I called to say I wanted to meet with the rep at a bridal show they were listed as attending (which was not exactly close to my house) and I never got a call back and then got to the show only to find out their literature was in attendance but they were not.

    I had been trying since March to get a contract with Capital in hand, and due to the inability to respond or pull together a correct contract on the part of Capital (I went through four iterations of the same contract with Jodi, each time finding errors that needed to be fixed or prices adjusted), I only received a correct contract 6 WEEKS before my Aug. 20 wedding. Talk about stressing out a bride.

    Then, TWO DAYS BEFORE the wedding, I get a call saying my tent layout would have to be altered because it had just been made known that the support poles for the tent would encroach on where we had positioned the dance floor, which we also rented from Capital. Wouldn't this have been good to know, I don't know, when I SIGNED THE CONTRACT?

    And then, the kicker, was the morning after my wedding. I get a call on my cell phone at 7:45 a.m. and thinking that absolutely no one would dare call me the morning after my wedding unless it was an absolute emergency, I pick it up. It was the Capital Party Rentals crew telling me they were having trouble getting into the event site to break down the tent. When I told them I couldn't help them, they seemed confused. Apparently, my number had been listed for them as the contact number in case of problems like this. When I told them that, they were mortified. Score another one for Jodi.

    In sum, they were wildly unprofessional, very rarely if ever called back, and I had to get the site coordinator involved just to get some pretty simple frickin' answers. If they're a good value, I wouldn't know, because we weren't given any other option, but I'd say if you have a choice, go with someone else. I suppose Capital didn't feel compelled to work with me in a timely manner because they knew I couldn't work with anyone else, but for that reason, I found them rude, unprofessional, and not worth working with. Everything got where it needed to be in the end, but overall, it was a horrible, stressful experience.

    This is an extremely dishonest and an absolutely horrendous company - if you need linen rentals for your special event, avoid Capital Party Rentals like the plague. They supplied us with dirty, stained, unlaundered tablecloths for our wedding day. The guest tablecoths all had very noticeable black circles on them and at least one of the ivory tablecloths for the sand ceremony had a large ketchup stain that my husband and the waitstaff had to try and hide. The linens were the only part of the wedding that was a huge disappointment. Although we have photos and several witnesses, including family, guests, and facility employees who not only saw the stains, but tried to remove them with water before the ceremony started, Capital Party Rentals refuses to accept resposibility and denies that the tablecloths they supplied were stained and dirty. If you ever have the misfortune of dealing with Gloria, Capital Party Rentals' Director of Marketing and Partnerships, be forewarned that she is rude and unprofessional.
    If you want your special event to leave a good impression with crisp, clean linens, do NOT go with Capital Party Rentals - they are the worst of the worst in this business.

    horrible place to deal with, unprofessional, pushy, and seem like they don't need you. Two words "stay away".
