Wonderful Caterer
The catering for my daughter’s wedding exceeded all expectations. The food was amazing fresh, flavorful, and enjoyed by all of our guests. What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. Exactly what we expected.
We tasted our selected finger foods in advance and on the day of our event they were delivered and were delicious. The variety of options made it really easy for us to select items that would appeal to all of our guests.

Delicious food, professional service
Food on buffet was delicious, with a professional presentation. Bar ran great, we got our linens from them which made it easy. Worked with Sandy to set it up. She was very nice and a big help!

Best caterers in Tampa Bay!
The food was phenomenal, everyone kept mentioning how delicious everything was. One of the employees found the earring that I was wearing on the ground (which was the same earrings my late grandmother wore to her wedding) which had fallen off without me even noticing. Bless you!!!!

Better than I could have imagined
The food was amazing! The price was very affordable and the staff did an amazing job. The servers went above and beyond. We brought stuff to have a charcuterie board that my bridesmaids were going to set up and Catering by the Family set it up for them. I have used them for company catering as well. It was great to have a food tasing for 4 people and they bring to go boxes for the leftovers.

Best Wedding Food, said from multiple guests!
We went through 2 hurricanes before our wedding and the last one was right in our area just 2 weeks before our wedding! We all struggled with getting power back and I was worried about the orders that weren't finalized, they pulled off everything we wanted! Multiple guests told me how it was the best wedding food they had ever had. The servers also made my husband and I a plate and brought it to us, even though we did buffet style. They were extremely professional and flexible. Highly recommend, also they have multiple menu options to choose from based off your budget!

Personal, Attentive, and Delicious!
The whole process of working with Catering by the Family was fantastic! Sandy was our contact through the planning process and she was super responsive and helpful! My fiance and I had a wonderful time at our tasting where she gave personal experience/ input when asked to help us guide our decisions. She also prepared multiple quotes for us as we compared which option would be best for our event. As we got closer to our wedding day she and CBTF were very accommodating, allowing us to make a swap at the bar to better fit our group and helping us logistically with some set up details. The day of the wedding was FANTASTIC! All of our guests loved their food and drinks. There was a day of attendant (Karina?) who was lovely! She checked in on us frequently to make sure we were well fed (preprepared our dinner plates and made sure appetizers were waiting after our photo session) and if there was anything else CBTF could assist with to improve our special day! Not to mention all of the staff and bartenders were so friendly! I could not recommend them enough!

Impeccable!
We were completely blown away by the team at Catering by the Family. We actually previously had a different caterer who just wasn’t cutting it, and CBTF went above and beyond to provide amazing service. The team was SO communicative, prompt, flexible, and friendly. They provided us with such a customized experience to make sure all of our guests were satisfied. The food was INCREDIBLE- people were coming up to us all night raving about their meals! The staff also went out of their way to ensure we (the newlyweds) ate. Although we had a buffet, the lead staff member Helena brought us a tray of cocktail hour bites we missed, and brought us plenty of plates of food. We actually got to eat and enjoy at our wedding! Can’t recommend enough, they’re truly the best of the best.

Excellent experience
We were fortunate to end up having hired Catering by the Family for our wedding. Sandy was a delight to work with from the initial consultation, to the tasting, to the menu planning, and even serving us personally day of the wedding. She personally made sure we were well fed on our special day, which was greatly appreciated, since many of our friends/family said "you barely get to eat a slice of your own cake." Our guests raved about the quality of the food, and especially loved the flambé donut station. I'd highly recommend you consider Catering by the Family for your wedding catering.

Great Food & Drinks
The food was amazing and we had plenty of left overs! Our left overs were packed up for us to take home. Our guests enjoyed the food. Our food was brought over to our table and the bar made sure my husband, our daughter and myself had drinks all night. We got a bottle of champagne sent to the bridal suite for while we were getting ready!

Delicious food & Wonderful Family business
Catering By The Family was on our preferred vendor list and honestly the only catering company I was interested in!! We worked with Erika who was extremely communicative and able to answer all our questions and last minute changes like a champ. When we had our tasting (one of my favorite parts of wedding planning in general!), she and Steve were punctual, professional and also very warm and welcoming. I felt they actually cared about our wedding and guests rather than just the business. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests still tell us how much they enjoyed it! Would recommend 100% to everyone!!!!

Fabulous Wedding reception dinner and brunch
My daughter was married 5/28/2022 and had her reception at The Orlo House . Steve and his team catered the reception and a private brunch in our home the next day . Let me tell you the food was tasty hot and there was plenty of it ! Our appetizers were unique and passed … our guests loved every bite and raved all night. The next day we had a brunch with an incredible buffet and omelette station . Some of the same staff were there bright and early ! It was incredible and enjoyed by all ! This team did not disappoint in any way and were so helpful in the planning the whole year in advance . Just loved everything and thank you so much Steve and team !!

Amazing catering company!
My now husband and I used Catering by the family this past weekend for our wedding and the food, service, and staff were amazing. Let's talk first about the customer service before hand. From day 1, everything was smooth. From the tastings, to the many edits of our invoice/menu, customizable drink menus, and phone calls with Steve's personal assistant (You are amazing Erika) were always professional. Steve the owner, and his son Stevie, the chef always made us feel like we were the only clients they currently had and they were never to busy for us. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and OMG. The food was just as good as the tasting. We had a cuban themed wedding and had their amazing croquettas, empanadas, devil crab, stuffed potato balls, and their famous cuban cigar rolls (cuban sandwich rolled up and fried). They were outstanding! Our main course was their lemon chicken, breaded steak, yellow rice and beans, and their salad (similar to 1905). The food was hot, flavorful, and the presentation was amazing. I have been to MANY weddings before and one thing the guests and I loved and agreed on was that the food was hot and ready to eat throughout the entire night. The owner and son personally came up to us and thanked us for using them. They had a server that was soooo sweet and came up to us during photos just to make sure we had a bite to eat and I am so happy she did. The hors d'oeuvres were wonderful! She even came up to me when I got done with pictures outside for another one, and made sure we had a hot plate of them at our dinner table. I cannot say enough great things about this local tampa family other than to use them for any event you may have because we had 140 people at our wedding and everyone loved the food, bar service, and servers throughout the night. From start to finish, hands down the best catering company in Tampa. You will not regret using them! Thank you Catering by the family for playing such a huge part in our wedding and contributing to the wonderful memories my husband and I will share for a lifetime.

Amazing Food
Catering by the Family was an incredible company to work with! Everyone was raving about how good all of the food was. We also ordered breakfast to be delivered the morning of and they made it super simple. Everyone was complimentary of the entire staff and they were incredibly attentive to us (the bride and groom). They served about 160 people efficiently so the food was still warm!

The food was delicious! Everyone kept raving about the chicken wings and mac and cheese bites we had as appetizers. We chose a vegan Pad Thai dish and a breaded chicken in a lemon cream sauce dish for our meals and our guests really enjoyed them. We could not have imagined picking another caterer after having our initial tasting with Sandra! Everything was so delicious and she was so helpful! Great food and exceptional service
Sandy and her team were wonderful to work with. She was so knowledgeable and made great suggestions for the menu. The servers were courteous and attended to all the guests needs. Food was delicious and guests raved about the roast beef and loved the appetizers. Packing a to go box for the bride and groom was another special touch. We got married on August 14th. From start to finish, we had the most amazing experience with catering by the family. Not enough words to describe my gratuity for this company! Being a covid bride and having to postpone your wedding was a nightmare, thankfully I had this company booked and they worked with me, stayed true to me, and helped me along the way. Rachel is amazing and her communication, quick response time is absolutely what you want planning a wedding (especially when you are as indecisive as I am). My day of coordinator quit and Helena, head server, stepped in and made sure everything was set up and went as planned. The other servers were the sweetest and so respectful, my mother-in-law could not stop talking about them and how professional they were! And the food! The best!!! No complaints, and I was one happy bride! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

January wedding
First and foremost the food was absolutely amazing! Everyone was raving about how great their dinner was (we did chicken and steak). Rachel was amazing!
Catering was one of the first vendors we booked and working with Rachel was such a great experience! She really went above and beyond (gave recommendations for wedding planners, florists, shared photos from other weddings at our location). Their prices are also extremely reasonable, and by far the cheapest bar package we came across! All-in-all would 100% book them again for a future event.

You will not be disappointed with Catering by the Family. They catered for our wedding in January. Rachel Cloke was our POC, can't say enough positive things about her. She was flexible, communicative, professional and overall truly cared about our day. We chose the pasta bar for dinner, with chicken piccata, with a couple vegan dishes for our guests. Everything was fantastic with great feedback from all out guests. The service was outstanding too. All the servers and bartenders were polite, professional, and kind, checking to make sure we were good throughout the night. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!

I cannot say enough great things about CBTF and how incredible the food/rental services were for my wedding. Hands down one of the best vendors I had the pleasure of working with. Right from the start, we met with Rachel who sat down with us and provided samples of their food along with a set up of table/place settings. From that meeting up until our wedding, Rachel was always easily accessible by phone, text, or email to answer all of our questions and continuously improvise our quotes as my mind was always changing! She gave amazing suggestions and recommendations on how to make sure our day flowed as smoothly as possible and that our guests would be kept happy throughout the entire wedding. When people make comments that wedding food is never good... this is a complete myth when it comes to CBTF. I had been told by people prior to our wedding who had had food by CBTF just how amazing it was. My guests left my wedding RAVING about how incredible the food tasted. I have never been so pleased and confident with having CBTF as our caterer for our wedding. From the initial inquiry to the last hour of the wedding night, they will go above and beyond to make sure your food and rentals are exactly what you have dreamed of and to meet all of your expectations. I would HIGHLY recommend CBTF to any couple who value the quality of food that will be served at their wedding and desire to work with people who will make the wedding planning process a little less stressful and hectic!

As MOB I cannot say enough about Catering by the Family! From the moment we met Rachel we knew we were in good hands for the wedding. She is professional, attentive and delightful to work with! Our tasting was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. We had no idea how amazing everything would be for the big day! From signature cocktails, amazing appetizers (the Cuban cigars are a must) and the most delectable dinner the CBTF didn’t miss a detail! Our guests are still saying “the food at Mallory & Trevors is the the BEST food they’ve ever had at a wedding”. I have to agree, the food was hot, delicious and tasty! Booking Catering By The Family was easily the best decision that we made for our wedding Rachel, Steve and all of their staff made everything run smoothly and the food was delicious. They also made our signature cocktail drinks which was my family sangria recipe and in old fashion and they were by far the most popular drinks all night. They were so easy to work with and helped with all of our Covid modifications and I highly recommend them for a wedding or party of any size!!

Great food!!
I used Catering by the Family for both my bridal shower and rehearsal dinner. I was trying to find a caterer for my bridal shower and remembered one of my close friends telling me that they just had their tasting for their wedding and how amazing the food was. Because of her recommendation I wasted no time going online to look at all their menu options. For my shower I decided to do an assortment of appetizers and they were all amazing! Everyone loved the food. When it came time figure out food for our rehearsal dinner, I knew I had to order from Catering by the Family again. They did not disappoint! I also attended my friends wedding who used them for her wedding and their pasta bar was to die for!! I would definitely hire them again for future parties or events!!

Best brunch wedding ever!
Catering by the Family food the most incredible job at our brunch wedding. So many guests said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Sandy was so easy to work with and made the entire process perfect. We'd hire them again anytime!

So so good!
Okay, Rachel was amazing! I think I even called her one time at like 7:30am with a question not realizing the time and she answered and was happy to help even though she did not have to at that time. I was not able to do the trial being so far away, and she made sure my parents and fiancés parents felt comfortable and confident in their food and service. The first time I tried their food was at my wedding and I made sure to scarf it all down because it was delicious. We even made the tail end of cocktail hour but didn’t get any apps but they made us a special tray that was sitting at our head table. That little detail meant so much to us. My mom insisted on making her Honduran specialty for cocktail hour and they were glad to pass them around along with theirs. They also did the cake cutting for us which allowed us to enjoy as much of the reception as possible. 10/10 recommend.

One-stop-shop with delicious food!
I highly recommend Catering by the Family for food, bar, and rental services! Going into the planning process, I was considering hiring separate vendors for food, alcohol, and rentals just to try to save some money. As soon as we met with Rachel with CBTF, I knew we needed to use them for everything! They are basically a one-stop-shop for most of your wedding day essentials! We used them for all of our food, bar service, tables, linens, china, and flatware. They have a huge selection to choose from and I adored the gold bamboo flatware we chose. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests raved about it all night. Rachel was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and we are very appreciative! :)

Couldn't have had our wedding day without Rachel!
We hired Catering by the Family for our December wedding last month, and it was worth every penny! We worked closely with Rachel Cloke (the BEST) leading up to our special day, who went out of her way to help us solidify our menu and make sure we had the best dining experience for our guests. She was so patient (I emailed back and forth with her quite a bit) and always treated us like family when we met in person.
I highly recommend Catering by the Family for your event needs. They go above and beyond to serve you with amazing excellence. When we went around to ask our guests if they were enjoying the food, we received many compliments! My only regret was not being able to eat the food myself (I was too caught up with socializing, haha).

Amazing people, amazing food!
Catering by the Family went above and beyond for us on our wedding day! We sat down many times with the owner Steve and his assistant Rachel and they truly treated us like family! We could sit and talk with them for hours! The food was very impressive and we tasted many different caterers and nothing compared. Our guests were raving about the food at our wedding. Steve had many different weddings to cater on 11/2/19 but he made us feel so special when he showed up to our reception (which was about an hour away) to make sure everything was going perfect for us just like we had planned. Like I said, they really do make you feel like family and we 100 percent recommend this company!

Delicious Food, Amazing Staff, and Overall Best Experience!
We had such an amazing experience with CBTF from the moment we contacted them till moments well after our wedding. This company is nothing short of exceptional and truly does provide a family experience for their clients. My husband and I worked with Rachel Cloke, from Sales and she was, without a doubt, the best person we worked with throughout our entire planning process. She was so responsive and helpful and did everything she could to make sure we were getting the best experience. We honestly cant thank her enough for not only making us feel like special clients, but like family. The rest of the staff were also wonderful. Even on the day of our wedding, we had staff members coming up to us to make sure we were being well taken care of. Helena, the event manager, was such a warm presence to have around on such a hectic day.
Apart from the service, the food was so delicious! We had guests coming up to us raving about the Pad Thai and how good it was. It was so good, my husband and I ordered some more to have for ourselves weeks after.
I can go on and on but the take away here is that Catering by the Family provided such and amazing experience and we are forever grateful to this team for playing such a big role in our day.

Catering by the Family seriously made me feel like their most important bride throughout every meeting. Steve remembered so many details that were important to me - and fulfilled all of them! Their presentation is lovely, their food is tasty, and Steve and Stevie are just the sweetest. They love what they do, and love making people happy - and it shows. I put so much trust in them to set up tables, chairs, linens and food - and everything turned our gorgeous and delicious! They were accommodating, flexible, and even surprised me and my husband with a signature drink that people have been raving about since the wedding! Working with Steve was simply a blessing.

Good food, easy, personable
We chose catering by the family based on how good the food was at my dad's wedding, and they did not disappoint. Guests were really happy with the food, the bartender was generous with the drinks, and they were extremely professional and prompt with set up and take down. We had an unusual cake that needed special heating and they set that up for us with no problems. Also, Steve and Erika were both so sweet on the phone and in person and they were so excited and accommodating with all the elements of the wedding. Definitely happy with our choice.

Catering By The Family went above and beyond for our wedding. Not only did they provide all our food, but they also assisted in finding majority of our rentals and flipping our ceremony space into our reception space. They also had the best price in town. Steve and his team went beyond expectations to ensure that we had a perfect evening. The space was absolutely beautiful, and our guests raved about how great the food was. They were so attentive throughout the entire process and made it so easy for us. They even took chargers we rented from a rental company back to their warehouse so we did not have to pick them up at 9am from the venue early the morning after our wedding. We used Catering By The Family for our daughters wedding recently. I can not say or write enough good things about the experience. But I will attempt to share a few of the highlights. This company although not as expensive as others delivers an event to rival any caterer in the Tampa Bay area and I would argue BEATS THEM ALL!
Our 200 plus guest could not say enough good things about the food, the bar, wedding cake and service. We choose to have a family style meal instead of a buffet or platted meals. Although we received many declines from other caterers this company not only agreed to do it but they nailed it so much that it made the wedding perfect. The food was delicious, served hot and the staff was professional and incredibly friendly to the point guest specifically commented to us about it.
From the tasting to the finish product Mr. Gonzalez, Erica and staff were wonderful. Lastly and most importantly we must recognize Stevie Gonzalez who hands down makes the best SHRIMP & GRITS, braised short ribs in the entire Tampa Bay area! This young man is so talented and the Gonzalez family is so fortunate to have that talent in its next generation to carry on its outstanding quality and service.
Thank you to each person who was involved in making our daughters wedding one in which everyone whom attended said "the best wedding we've ever been to". Without you this would not have been true!

We booked Catering by the Family after having issues with tastings. We would go to “group” or “event” tasting where we would sample food, but none of it was what we wanted. We were told we wouldn’t be able to taste what would be served at our wedding as what we wanted was not offered at the group tastings or events. We wanted Cuban or Spanish style food to fit our theme of Gasparilla and have local cuisine. It was very important to us to taste the food we would be paying for and having at our wedding so we did not want to book with a company where we didn’t taste the food. Juan had assured us we could try some of the food at our tasting. When we arrived, we were the only people there, which amazing because at group tastings we couldn’t find anyone to talk to and things got overwhelming. A table was set up in our colors just for us and Juan. I didn’t even tell him what our colors were; he just went with our theme. The settings were perfect. When it came time to do our tasting, so much food was brought out that we got to try all the Spanish food they had to offer. Everything tasted amazing. We booked right then and there. During year we emailed back and forth. Email replies were a little slow, which had me a little concerned. When it came to the wedding day, everything was perfect. Juan came out and greeted us, which I was so thankful for. That one small gesture meant a lot! I got so many people telling me the food was amazing and the wait staff and bartenders were so nice and wonderful! I even had a waiter come to us with plates with all the food offered at the buffet. Everything tasted above and beyond and for the price you can’t beat it! We highly recommend them!

This company was outstanding. They arrived at my venue in the morning while I was personally trying to put some last minute decorations up. They helped me with some final setup as I was running out of time to do it myself. When we arrived to our reception later that day everything was perfect. The owner Steve had come out personally to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction which I thought was so nice. The food was great!!!! We literally ate it all and received one small to go box of leftovers because everyone kept going back through the buffet line. I would highly recommend this company to anyone getting married in the Tampa area.

We had an 80th Birthday party for my Mother in Law. We served a buffet called "The Kings Table." There were approximately 60 guests. Although this was not a wedding, it was a mid-sized event/party. The food was incredible. We had a manned carving station with Tenderloin, fruits, hot and cold dips, chicken with a saffron sauce, tuna wontons, chocolate fondue, etc. The seasoning and sauces provided were excellent. Oma and Rene were our servers and they were very prepared and eager to make the party successful. They made set-up and tear down painless. They were very polite with all the guests. They never allowed any foods to run out. The visual appeal of the tables and set up was very professionally done. The guests constantly requested the name of the caterer. We didn't have one hiccup and "Sandy" was the person who I worked with initially. She was quick to make suggestions based on the information I gave her. She was also quick to provide a quote and followed up. I live in another state and I was hesitant to commit to a caterer, but the quality of food, assistance and servers were so much better than expected. My family owned a restaurant for more than 25 years and I don't give compliments unless they are earned. I don't know anyone here personally before doing business last weekend, so I have no vested interest in making a false claim. I just felt compelled to share our delight with the service and quality we received. I would highly recommend Catering by the Family for a wedding, party or any special event. Our 80 year old Nana was thrilled with who we chose.

Working with CBTF was amazing! I can't say enough good things! They were super professional and the food was delish! We had an almost 300 person wedding at a venue that was not easy to cater in and they made it look easy! Sandy was the person who we worked with and she was so great! I cannot thank her enough! She went above and beyond for us and everything was perfect! They also did our cake and mini dessert bar. I was stunned at how great it all looked! We chose Catering by the Family to cater our wedding, and it was an excellent choice. The plated meals were beautifully done and the food was great. In fact, we had their food again at another wedding after ours, which only confirmed how great the food is! On your wedding day, everything can fly by so fast so it was hard to stop and truly enjoy very bite of food. We were so grateful to be able to enjoy their food again on a day that we weren’t the center of attention. We also chose to have them do our cake as well, and it was not only gorgeous, but very tasty as well. Sandy Thiebe was so very accessible and helpful throughout the process as well. Juan at Catering by the Family was absolutely amazing! I had searched several places and Catering by the Family was actually the most affordable, but you would never guess from the responsiveness and quality we received for our wedding. The initial tasting was spectacular and we even got to take the rest of the food home with us! It was so good! Catering by the Family provided all the food, napkins, and linens for the wedding. We were extremely impressed. Even some of our hard to please guests, LOVED the food! We also opted for the smores bar which was a huge hit. Be sure to check out catering by the family, and ask for Juan. You will not be dissappointed. :)

Let me start out by saying that the food at CBTF was phenomenal! I read reviews and they were mixed about whether or not the quality of the food was good. We had the buffet with the pasta and carving station, sauteed chicken, green beans and red potatoes. So many people came up to us to express how fantastic the food tasted. I heard about this company through a friend. I had been searching for a caterer for awhile and just couldn't find one I liked enough to book. We met with Steve about a year before our wedding. The meeting couldn't have gone better! My fiance (now husband), mom and I immediately liked him. We were invited to come to a tasting event and couldn't have been happier. The process of booking was easy. Steve answered all of my questions and responded quickly to email. We used food and bar services from CBTF and couldn't have had a better time. The amount spent and the quality were definitely perfect and in line with one another. The manager for our wedding made sure my husband and I were set with everything we needed and the additional staff were very helpful throughout our wedding night. Everything was such a blur but whoever our event manager was, he was amazing and my husband, mom and I would definitely recommend him! The entire process from quotes to booking to the actual wedding event went flawlessly. Steve helped us through every step and really made me feel confident in our decision. Steve and his staff do an amazing job and really show how much they love what they do with the service they provide. BEST CATERED FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. Our guests said so too!

We used Catering by the Family for our wedding reception on October 18th and it was absolutely perfect! The food was excellent! The desserts were amazing and they set everything up perfect! The smores bar and chocolate fountain blew it out of the water! I will be sure to recommend them to anyone who needs catering in the future and will use them myself again! Thank you again!

Everyone at our wedding loved our food. They kept telling us how much they loved the food stations. I was very happy with the food as well, and the chef even came and found me to make sure my husband and I got a plate. Catering by the Family was perfect! We had appetizers and a buffet-style dinner. Honestly, they were so so easy to work with. We even had a sudden date change only a few months before the wedding (family medical issue), and they were able to work with us anyway! The food was amazing, and they provided champagne for my husband and I, which we didn't expect. The staff was practically invisible before and after the buffet line started, and while it was going, they served our guests by ladling and cutting meat, etc. Upon arriving, they even held doors open and closed while the bridal party was being announced! They are definitely professional and I didn't have to worry about a thing.

We found Catering by the Family because my sister used them for her wedding in November and everyone loved their food. I called and scheduled an appointment and found them to be very friendly, responsive, and cared about what the client would like and at what budget. Sandra Thiebe was our representative and was wonderful at keeping in touch. She actually had to track me down to have me confirm some choices! Not only was she exceptional, but the pricing was extremely fair for what we asked for (full buffet and bar with service. wedding was aprx 75 guests).
During the set up the staff manager Oma was a blessing! She helped my family get the rest of the décor set up and was fantastic all evening. I truly loved all the staff, from the servers to the bartender. All my guests commented on how they loved the food and service.
I will recommend Catering by the Family to anyone and everyone! Great service, food, and fair pricing. Thank you for your wonderful service. You are true professionals.

We had a very small wedding (less than 45 people) so we did not feel the need to have a full service catered event. I contacted Catering by the Family and arranged for them to deliver and set up a buffet-style menu. They were very responsive, and I received a great price. The delivery arrived right on time, was set up beautifully, and the food tasted fantastic. I have already recommended them to my sister who is getting married in a few months!

I will always be thankful for this company. Every single thing they did was excellent! The way they setup the tables at the reception was so elegant, the way they setup the buffet, just WOW I was actually scared of touching it, I didn't want to mess it up! Oma and Henry along with their staff were wonderful. They always made sure that me, my husband and all the guest were taken care of. We met Donna at the Italian Club in Ybor for a wedding show after talking to her we took her business card and went home and looked up a bunch of reviews. After a good couple months after we had met Donna I emailed her about menus and tastings. She remembered meeting us and we came in and talked to her and did a tasting! the grooms favorite part of course! The food is amazing!!!! Donna worked with us like we were her own children! Words cannot describe how grateful we are to have used catering by the family for our catering and bartending service. As any bride would have a hiccup on her wedding day mine was the cake - It never arrived - I was stressed and overwhelmed the staff that serviced the catering was so courteous and asked if everything was okay- I looked up and said well if your a magician and have a cake around that would be a huge help- Well my, my, my, the staff called the owner Steve and organized beautiful cakes for our cake cutting. Steve came personally for the delivery!!!! Like I said I am still so very speechless and how my day was saved by them not only doing the catering, bartending, but also the cake - It meant the world to us!! Thank you thank you so much we will definitely recommend you to everybody for everything !!! Thank you saving my wedding day with all the love in my heart!!

One of the best decisions my daughter and new son-in-law made regarding their wedding brunch was to use Catering By The Family as their caterer. It could not have gone better, and I sincerely mean that. Pauline was just amazing. She took my daughter's idea of a rustic chic brunch and ran with it. She came up with beautiful decor ideas and her menu suggestions were just right. My daughter's idea for a pre-ceremony coffee bar became a beautifully decorated and delicious coffee and pastry bar! Pauline even found the mahogany garden chairs that my daughter wanted. Whenever I had a "I've never had an event anywhere near this big" moment, Pauline took me aside and reminded me that they were the pros and they knew what to do - and she was right. I can't tell you how many of the guests came up to me and told me how beautiful everything was and how delicious the brunch was. The waffle and omelet stations were a big hit. Morgan and the staff were there early and everything was ready to go as planned. Never once did I have a moment where I thought something wasn't going quite right. I actually felt like a guest at the wedding and not the mother of the bride. I highly recommend Catering By The Family - they helped to make my daughter's wedding just about perfect.

Donna from Catering by the Family was working with us in planning our wedding. She was very friendly and had some great suggestions for the linens that ended up looking beautiful. Prior to the week of our wedding, she was sick and had just been in a car accident but STILL came in to do our final meeting. The appetizers we picked were sooooo delicious - we had a plate of them in the bridal suite before pictures and we gobbled them up! The dinner was great. Even though we had buffet style, the servers came around and made sure everyone was taken care of and were very courteous. I will definitely recommend Catering by the Family.

Catering by the Family, led by the fabulous Pauline, our sales rep, truly went above and beyond for our rustic buffet brunch wedding in the woods. They were professional, personable, and Pauline worked exceptionally hard to ensure our vision came to life. The bruch food was tasty and comfort-style as we wanted, the staff was attentive and friendly, and Pauline negotiated things I never imagined we could get on our budget..a gourmet coffee bar, beautiful charger plates, and a smores bar. The decor provided around the food and drink service areas was spectacular...Pauline payed close attention to our modern rustic chic theme and literally decorated everything with moss, wood, and even fresh flowers. Amazing experience.

We interviewed and tasted three caterers before deciding on this long-time Tampa legend. We weren't sure if they could live up to their reputation, but they did... and exceeded it! Donna and her team did an amazing job of impressing our guests with outstanding food, an ice sculpture that wowed everyone, and fantastic service all around! We unreservedly recommend them! From the kid's buffet to the carving stations, their attention to detail and excellence was fantastic!

We used catering by the family for our wedding on December 7. Donna was our catering contact and she was great! We had several meetings with her and she coordinated a private tasting as well as invited us to several open house tastings. The day of the event everything was fantastic. The hour d' oeuvres were hand passed and everyone got plenty. The fried mac and cheese was a big hit. Donna even made sure the wedding party got to have a little bit of everything. The food was incredible and we got so many compliments on the pasta bar and the food in general.

Our wedding day dinner was sooooo good. Everyone kept complimenting us on how great it tasted. Catering by the family had just the meal for us we wanted some real comfort food nothing so crazy looking that people had to wonder what they were eating. As the bride and groom we had a server that kept personally checking on us as well as tending to our guests. A take home plate was packed for each of us labeled bride and groom and put away until the end of the night. Donna Aguis was our consultant and she was awesome! She kept in contact with us stuck to our budget and still got us everything that we wanted. She went above and beyond even helping to move our outdoor floral arrangemenst inside after he ceremony and placing our unity candle set on our cake table.We couldn't have asked for better service or food.

What fantastic food and stellar service! We were able to have three different meals, plus a kids' meal, so everyone's tummy turned out happy. We were also able to rent a variety of items from Catering by the Family, like high-tops and barware, so our event turned out as classy as we wanted. I cannot emphasize enough how pleased we are with Catering by the Family, who catered our Tampa wedding last week. I talked to a few different local caterers early on in our planning, and I was surprised that some don't return calls or are even rude. When I had my first conversation with Mike from Catering by the Family, I knew I had found a good vendor. Mike was always available when I needed to go over details, willing to make suggestions and implement our ideas--and he was positive, professional, flexible, and reassuring. We were planning our wedding long distance, so communication was a must. Catering by the Family helped it come off smoothly and beautifully. We customized tapas-style foods into a buffet menu that had to satisfy both vegetarians and meat-eaters, which we knew was a unique setup, but this was no problem at all. The food was excellent and plentiful. We chose from a wide variety of available linens, and they looked gorgeous. AND each catering staff member was friendly and on his/her game. We were impressed and happy to sit back and enjoy it. I very highly recommend this great local company and am so thankful for their service.

We decided to go with an hordeurve buffet rather than a plated dinner for our reception and the food was amazing! Everyone at my reception was amazed at the selection and the quality. The caterers kept everything maintained and picked up all of the trash as needed when guests were finished. They even set aside a to go box for me and the groom keeping in mind that he was a vegetarian. We also did a make your own sundae bar which was phenomenal. The tables were decorated to match our colors and everything was just perfect.

There isn't enough words to explain how amazing catering by the family were! I am actually from Canada and we traveled to Florida to have our wedding. I delt with Grace and she was so helpful. She put up with question after question I had for her, and she knew her job so well. Her staff was so professional and they were so ready to help me with anything I needed. They set up all of the linens and the site looked so great! I couldn't have imagined it any better than they did!! And the bang for your buck, I was engaged for a year and a half and researched and I couldn't find a better price for what I was getting. All of my quests couldn't say enough about how good the food was! If you are wanting great quality and great price look no further!!! I would do it all over again if I had the money and lived in Florida!

At first, I was a little worried I'd be overpaying for my caterer, but after the wedding, I had no doubt I had chosen the right people for the job. They did incredible & went above & beyond my expectations. They took such great care of us & everyone else. They worked well with the other vendors & made sure everything was perfect for us. The food was delicious, they didn't mind us having our family make food for the wedding as well, they actually embraced it & made sure it was displayed just as well as their food was. The bar was stocked well & everyone was so friendly & helpful. The presentation was so impressive. Everything was impressive.
