Elegant and Exquisite!

There are not enough words to describe how incredible this venue is. Everything felt exquisite and elegant. We are from Minnesota and this location was a bit of a destination wedding for us. Since Castle Ladyhawke offers so many services with their venue, it was perfect for arranging things halfway across the country.

The location is in the mountains so the overlook of the trees is stunning. We got married in October and some leaves started to change so it was especially beautiful.

The castle had many amazing details and decor throughout. You will really feel like royalty just being in the castle! Make sure to take the time to explore the fun rooms like the pub and knights chamber!

Our wedding coordinator, Emma, was the highlight of this venue (aside from it being a castle of course). Emma was thorough, organized, professional, and also friendly. We got married about a week or so after the devastating hurricane that came through WNC. Fortunately the castle location and lodges were safe and all the staff were okay. With all the stress of the wedding planning, Emma was fantastic. She was reassuring, uplifting, and hardworking to make sure everything was taken care of for our special day.

The food was also delicious and the cake was perfect! Funny enough my new husband didn’t know about anniversaries cakes and ate some of it the second night after our wedding because it was just that good! 😆

The vendors suggested by the venue were also great! We ended up loving them all especially the DJ (Dow Oaks Events) as they were fun, reassuring during stressful times, and professional. The transport company Mountain Motor Coach was also friendly, fun, experienced, and professional!

We loved that we could bring our dogs for the ceremony as well!

There are so many great things to say about this place. If you are considering it, trust us, they are worth it!

The most beautiful venue. Emma made the process so smooth and easy for us! Most of the vendors were built into the cost which and they have fantastic recommendations for additional vendors. 10/10 would recommend!

Winter Wedding 12.12.2025

We recently got married at Castle Ladyhawke and had the absolutely pleasure of working with Emma! We were fortunate enough to find this location through internet searching, and as a Virginia bride I was anxious about having our wedding 7+ hours away. Emma and her team made the planning process, painless, and she always eased my nerves and answered every question. Not to mention the venue is stunning and is the perfect location for a castle mountain wedding. The day of the wedding went off without issue, and I have received nothing but compliments for how everything went. Thank you Emma and Castle Ladyhawke for allowing me to live out my castle wedding dreams!

The perfect Christmas Wedding!

Castle Ladyhawke was truly the most magical place we could have imagined for our wedding. Getting married in the mountains, surrounded by breathtaking views and the timeless beauty of the castle, felt like stepping into a real-life fairytale.

We were married during the winter season, and the way the venue was decorated for Christmas by our vendors made everything even more special. The glowing lights, beautifully fluffed trees, and cozy atmosphere created such a warm, romantic setting that perfectly complemented the mountain backdrop. It felt intimate, elegant, and incredibly festive all at once.

The entire Castle Ladyhawke team (especially Emma) was phenomenal. They were organized, kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about every detail of our day. From the planning process to the wedding weekend itself, communication was seamless and everything ran smoothly, allowing us to truly be present and enjoy every moment.

Our guests are still talking about how stunning the venue was and how unique and memorable the entire experience felt. Every space, from the ceremony site to the reception areas, was thoughtfully designed and absolutely beautiful.

If you are dreaming of a mountain wedding that feels romantic, timeless, and unforgettable, Castle Ladyhawke is truly something special. We are beyond grateful to have celebrated one of the most important days of our lives in such a magical place and could not recommend it more highly.

Best venue ever!

As a planner, we really appreciate when we work with venues who have it all together. And Castle Ladyhawk is exactly that! They are super professional, organized, and overall easy to work with! It is also one of the most beautiful venues ever. You literally get married in a castle lol! I absolutely love working with their team and my clients love them as well. Stunning Wedding Venue Hidden in the Mountains

As a guest from a recent wedding at Castle Ladyhawke I was so impressed. Castle Ladyhawke was an absolutely stunning wedding venue tucked away in WNC. From the moment you arrive, the views are incredible and the whole place feels like something out of a fairytale.

The mountain backdrop is unreal and makes every moment (and every photo) feel extra special. The castle itself is beautiful blending that classic old-world stone work charm with a comfortable, welcoming vibe that puts everyone at ease.

What really stands out is how memorable the experience is. I was genuinely wowed, and it feels like a place that my friends and family will talk about as one of the better ones we’ve attended. It’s both impressive and intimate at the same time, which isn’t easy to pull off.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue that’s unique, scenic, and truly unforgettable, Castle Ladyhawke is a perfect choice in the mountains.

Springer Wedding - Nov 2025

We had such an amazing experience with The Castle and its staff! Even when a freak snowstorm hit on our wedding day everyone pulled together to make it magical! Emma and chef were even able to honor our last minute requests when the weather turned, as well as providing a giant hunk of cheese for the groom (big cheese fan lol). 10/10 and all the recommendations :)

Best Team Ever!

The Castle Ladyhawke team was incredible -- especially Hunter! Throughout the entire planning process they were always so quick to respond and assist in all aspects. Their experience and expertise was priceless and so helpful as I navigated planning a wedding 5 hours from home. The vendors they recommended blew us away and we could not have imagined anything better! Beyond their amazing help throughout planning, when the day of came, they went above and beyond!! Hunter consistently checked on me and handled so many logistics that would have otherwise made me feel overwhelmed. The most pivotal moment came when I could not get my dress up past the waist seem and after 3 bridesmaids tried and failed, Hunter came in and zipped me up in a few seconds - literally saving the day! I would not have been able to have such an amazing wedding day without her and the Castle Ladyhawke team and will forever be so grateful!

Perfect fall wedding with about 60 guests

We had our wedding at Castle Ladyhawke in mid-October and we loved it. This venue is absolutely gorgeous, and if you are looking for peak fall-foliage, I would suggest middle October like we did. We had about 60 people at our wedding and in my opinion that was a perfect amount; the venue definitely never felt empty but it also didn’t feel overly crowded.

Emma is the coordinator that couples begin working with about a year out from the wedding date and she is excellent. She answered any question we had during the process, helped problem solve, and was by our side the day of ensuring things ran smoothly. The rest of the staff was great as well.

I think the largest thing to note about this venue is that the road up to it is very steep and narrow. That’s something to take into considering for guests driving up. But it is a truly stunning place, we loved it!

Perfection!

When my daughter and I first toured Castle Ladyhawke, we knew it was the venue for her big day. Connie was able to get us in to look at it last minute and we were sold from the start. Connie was so straightforward about all that would and would not be included. She sent us a contract and answered multiple questions. She was so very helpful and knowledgeable. We had no surprises with the cost at all. We did add on many things, but we knew from the very beginning what was included and what was not. It was worth every penny and more!
Fast forward to the details of the wedding day. Emma was our coordinator and was a true rockstar. She is easy-going and personable but is also thorough and professional. She answered any questions I had quickly and made our every dream for the wedding day reality. She was great to work with. The day of the wedding she was everywhere we needed her to be but not overbearing. She handled all the little details and ensured that it was a stress-free day for the bride and me.
We had an arbor that my husband built for our daughter. It was a surprise and Emma helped us hide that very large secret until the moment she walked down the aisle.
I don't even need to mention the beauty of the castle because it is obvious. It is clean and well kept and the grounds are superbly tended to.
I highly recommend this perfect venue with its phenomenal staff.

Incredible Experience

My husband and I got married here in Feb of this year and it could not have been easier or have gone better. The main reason for this was the incomparable Emma! We told her what we were thinking and things we liked and didn’t like, and then told her we trusted her and were perfectly fine walking in the day of and seeing what she decided! The day went so smoothly from start to finish and we were treated like royalty. Emma made us feel like we were her favorite couple ever and was a dream to work with. The castle was stunning and the food was phenomenal. The bakery, florist, and DJ included in our package were so easy to work with and they had exceptional services and products. The Bread and Butter cake was delicious and beautiful, the flowers were even better than I’d hoped. All I told Ray’s was the types of flowers I liked and didn’t like, and sent some photos of bouquets I liked but left the rest up to them. What they delivered were literally the bouquets and chandelier arrangement of my dreams. Dow Oak Events had people on the dance floor the whole night and let us send “must play” and “play if you think it works” songs. Ryan was so kind! The castle is incredible and having it to ourselves for the whole day, staying the night in it, the care the team took of us from start to finish, the food, the cake, the flowers, the DJ, not having to worry about a thing…I feel like we got such a deal for quality and attention we got. Would recommend Castle Ladyhawke a thousand times!

The perfect day!

This team is absolutely INCREDIBLE! The high standard of service and hospitality that they have for their events and the care they show towards their couples is top tier. From our first tour, to the planning process, to the execution everything was perfect.

I was a wedding planner at a hotel for 2 years and understand how challenging this process can be from a vendor standpoint. Emma, who was our wedding coordinator, handled everything with such professionalism and grace. We got married in October, just a couple weeks after hurricane Helene swept through and my family was so concerned. Emma was the epitome of calm and assured us everything would be alright and that they could still host us, so it was full steam ahead. She is the glue that held our day together and kept us on time while coordinating with our other vendors. I was able to turn off my planner brain and truly live in the moment of the day. Emma, words can't describe how thankful we are for you!! ❤️

The venue is absolutely stunning and loved having the castle to ourselves! The food was amazing, and our guests are still raving about the wedding 2 months after.

My parents want to plan another visit back to Bear Lake because it holds such a special place in our hearts now. So all I can say is thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for bringing our dream wedding to life.

Just wow!!!!

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this wedding venue. The views are spectacular, the castle is magnificent, and the staff is phenomenal. From my first inquiry, to my tour, to the booking process, to my wedding day, the staff at Castle Ladyhawke has been so helpful and kind. Kelsie, Emma, and Mason answered all of my (many) questions and went above and beyond to ensure that my wedding day was perfect.

I booked the inclusive wedding package and you really cannot get a better deal. All my guest raved about the catering, my photos turned out fantastic because this venue is just beyond gorgeous, and I didn't have to worry about anything on the day because the onsite coordinators, Kelsie and Emma, took care of everything.

Kelsie is just a wonderful person and Castle Ladyhawke is incredibly lucky to have her. She is kind, professional, and just amazing at her job.

I cannot recommend this venue enough!!

Kelsie helped us have our dream wedding!

If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would!! Our wedding at Castle Ladyhawke was an absolute dream. With around 3 months to secure a venue and plan a wedding, Castle Ladyhawke and their inclusive wedding package came up at the perfect time. Working with Kelsie was the best experience. She was patient and kind and made us feel so special from day one. I’ve worked with a lot of vendors through various events in the past and Kelsie is hands down one of the most professional, funny, friendly and skilled wedding/event coordinators I’ve had the pleasure to work with. She made sure our day went off without a hitch (and navigated mother natures curveballs with ease) and made us feel so at peace. She truly provided a sense of calm that made us feel so at ease throughout the entire day and wedding planning process. It’s not easy being the center of attention sometimes, but Kelsie made us feel like absolute royalty. We chose the inclusive winter wedding package because it helped us save so much time — not having to vet and contact vendors for rentals, florals, cake and catering. The ability to upgrade and customize these things if we wanted helped us make sure we had the wedding that felt like us and was so beautiful and personalized. We are so appreciative of everyone at Castle Ladyhawke and can’t wait to come back to the area to visit. This venue and views cannot be beat. The food was absolutely amazing and everyone is still talking about how delicious it was. An incredibly unique venue and their winter wedding package truly is such a great deal. We never thought we could have such a dream wedding. We definitely will renew our vows here one day!

A must-book venue for a celebration of any size!

My husband and I got married here in October 2023 and the ambiance, service, and food quality is truly unmatched. We wanted an intimate elopement on a weekday with just our immediate family present (fewer than 10 people) and signed the venue purely off a virtual tour as we live out of state. Because of the elopement package, I was able to be my own planner to curate all the details I thought about which I loved. Morgan was an absolutely incredible thought partner through out my 10 month planning journey and was a fantastic day-of coordinator to ensure every detail went off without a hitch. Every question I had was answered promptly, all the preferred vendors we booked were fantastic, and the cocktail hour bites + cake were delicious with rave reviews from all our guests. The entire staff during rehearsal and our wedding day were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful which made the day even more memorable.

Our wedding felt like a dream thanks to the entire team at Castle Laydhawke and I cannot overstate how highly I recommend this venue.

Magical and Effortless!

Morgan and Castle Ladyhawke are amazing! We did their "effortless elopement" package and it truly was effortless. Morgan went above and beyond. One of our guests was supposed to tie the groom's bow tie and they got stuck in traffic. Morgan, along with our guests, jumped into action and figured out how to tie it. As I was getting ready to head down the stairs for our ceremony, Morgan touched my shoulder and said "I know I told you before but you look beautiful. Talk about a great calming boost on my way down to the ceremony! Then when it was time to cut the cake, we had no idea how to cut it and not make a mess of the cake. Morgan walked us through the process and we had a flawless cake cutting! Morgan and the rest of the Castle Ladyhawke team helped make our day truly magical and unforgettable. Thank you Morgan!

Amazing Venue

I got married here back in October of this year and the venue was everything and more. The coordinator Morgan helped bring all my visions to life. The staff was professional and very punctual. I loved the different packages this venue offered and how inclusive it is. That is an attribute that is extremely hard to find in a wedding venue.

Beautiful Views, great packages, and amazing staff

My husband and I were never people who wanted big weddings or a lot of attention. I'm not someone who is into planning or wanting to spend time picking out what color napkins to have, or table cloths, etc. When my husband and I were planning to get married, I knew It had to be in the mountains and I was hoping to find some sort of package that took care of the important stuff, so that I didn't have to go searching for a bunch of different vendors. So, when I came across Castle Ladyhawke, I just HAD to reach out. We chose their elopement package and it was just absolutely perfect for us.
Not only are the views (obviously) amazing at this location, but the staff was great on our wedding day. Mason was my first contact when reaching out and she was so helpful and attentive and able to answer any questions in a timely manner.
Morgan (our event coordinator with Castle Ladyhawke) is a sweet angel and was beyond helpful in every way. She was always quick to respond to questions/concerns before the actual wedding day. On our actual wedding day, she kicked butt and made sure everything was running smoothly and getting things done the way they were supposed to (even if our families were being slightly crazy and making it harder than it had to be - I'm sure you know how that goes). She was so patient and kind and truly a pleasure to work with.
I honestly couldn't have chosen a better venue to have our special day at.

the BEST venue!!

Castle Ladyhawke was a DREAM venue!! I highly recommended it. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive on the day of..planning my wedding was a breeze with Morgan!! She made every step easy and fun and made sure I had no stress going into the day of my wedding. She was the bomb!! My wedding at the castle was everything I could have dreamt of and more. Truly a fairytale and the best day of my life. :) I promise you will not regret it if you book the castle for your wedding!! (I also highly recommend Rays Florist in Sylva- he brought my vision to life and it was perfect!!)

A Dream Come True

Morgan is the BEST! My dream wedding came true and I couldn’t have done it without her help! Her passion truly shows in her work. On my wedding day, Morgan showed up in more ways than one. I would recommend Castle Ladyhawke for its beauty, but most importantly recommend Ladyhawke because of Morgan. If you want someone who will make you feel taken care of, wants to work with someone extremely professional, and wants their dream wedding to come to life - I would recommend Morgan and Castle Ladyhawke. One of a kind experience

I own a company called Bridal DJs. We do hundreds of weddings a year and I just wanted to take a moment to submit a review for this wedding venue. This was my first time working at Castle Ladyhawke. I could not get over how authentic this venue looked. It was like going to Scotland or Norway. The staff were extremely friendly and had everything put together very nicely. If you are looking for a one of a kind experience vs most other wedding barns and buildings then I highly recommend this venue to you. It truly was amazing.

Best day of my life!

AMAZING!!!!! We recently had our wedding at Castle Ladyhawke and it was simply amazing. Every single individual that was apart of our big day went above and beyond our expectations. From Morgan and Callie making sure that every detail was perfect to the servers and valets who made sure that everyone was taken care of. I especially would like to say a BIG thank you to the valets that were working that day because they helped an elderly family friend who was having trouble getting up and down the stairs get to where she needed to go. If I could get married every week at Castle Ladyhawke I definitely would. If you are thinking about getting married here, DO IT!! You will not be disappointed.

Castle Ladyhawke - a dream come true!

From the moment we first arrived for a tour we fell in love with the Castle!
Every little detail of the Bridal suite is so well thought through! The suite is huge! Makeup area is a separate room, so we had so much room for fun photos and video! And it has a balcony and so much natural light! Loved the huge elegant bathtub in a room with the view!
Wherever you go in the Castle, mountain views are spectacular!
We even went all the way up the stunning spiral staircase to the top of the tower, so many gorgeous photo opportunities! Loved the staircase as well!!
This is a dream location for the couples and for any photographer/videographer.

The ambiance of the Castle is so amazing. So many different spaces inside and outside for the guests to roam around.

The ceremony site is gorgeous and spacious, right next to the Castle walls with the mountains behind.

We absolutely loved Kelsie, the Wedding Director! She knows the answer to any questions and she’s such a huge help! She just makes you feel completely relaxed and chill. It means a lot, especially on a wedding day!

We’ve been filming weddings for many years and I just simply can’t compare any other venue in North Carolina to Castle Ladyhawk. So beautiful and welcoming the Castle is.
It’s a rare find!

perfect all around

I had such an amazing time working with the members of Castle Ladyhawke! I was a bride planning a small wedding in just 4 months. Castle lady Hawke has many wedding packages and their micro wedding package was EVERYTHING! I completely put my trust in their food, cake, and bouquet and they nailed every one! this was the perfect thing for me as I was out of state and unable to be there in person for what most traditional weddings need. not to mention when we went to tour other venues this team was the only one who seemed fully prepared to "woo" us and had a full brochure of everything we could think of. they had all of the little things prepared for us that really let us put our full trust in them. they felt like friends to both of us from beginning to end! also its a GORGEOUS venue obvi

Stunning Event Space

This venue is amazing! From the old world stone flooring to the gorgeous wooden spiral staircase and modern luxury furnishings - Castle Ladyhawke has so much to offer, the grounds and views are breathtaking and the unique details give this space a truly romantic, fairytale vibe. Dream Wedding

Dreamlike Setting

I'm a wedding photographer in Western North Carolina who has been documenting weddings at Castle Ladyhawke for many years. This venue is a remarkable property that is truly gorgeous in all seasons. Working with couples at the castle is a photographers dream. This venue offers beautiful backdrops from mountainscapes to interesting interior and exterior views of the castle itself. Fairytale Wedding

All of the staff members were fantastic and treated not only us but also our guests like royalty.

My husband and I were looking for unique places to elope and a friend recommended Castle Ladyhawke. An absolutely can't miss!

My fiance and I immediately fell in love, not only with the incredible charm of the venue and the neighboring Bear Lake, but the over-and-above mentality of absolutely everybody (without exception!) with whom we interfaced from Day 1. Mason, Kelsie, Callie, Rachel, Sarah -- this is an all-star team dedicated to bringing fairy tales to life. And their recommended chef? YES. That's all I need to say. Do yourself a favor and take a step off the beaten path. This might just be your venue.

The most unique and stunning venue around!

We couldn't have picked a better venue for our big day. The castle in itself is beyond beautiful and the location is breathtaking. We received so many compliments on the venue alone. Sabrina was a dream to work with during our planning stages. She was quick to respond to my many emails and always had answers to my many questions. Joy was the castle attendant on the day of our event. She was super helpful. Despite the 60% chance of rain, Joy instructed the castle staff to set up my ceremony location outside. This was a huge relief for me. The staff worked quickly in setup and breakdown (for dancing space) and everyone was very polite. The castle is TOTALLY worth the money. Our day was truly magical.

This venue is beautiful by itself. Not a lot of decorating is needed. They don't have restrictions on vendors, have a sound system in the pavilion (reception) area. Ceremony seating at the pavilion is provided in the form of log benches. Owners are very professional and quick to respond. They help with parking and have a beautiful Great Dane that they dress up and bring down for pictures.

This was the perfect wedding venue. It was a traditional box reception where everything happens in the same room - which I wanted. The view from the ceremony was absolutely gorgeous and everything I dreamed of. It unfortunately rained the rest of the day so all the reception events had to be held inside but there were back up plans for everything and it all went well. The staff is very nice and very responsive. Great location.

I first found the Castle online while living in Arizona and graduating college. My now husband wasn't sure that we would be able to afford it but when I showed him other venues, he realized how competitive their prices were. We booked two years in advanced and the staff, Kim and Joy, never treated us like a second priority. They always answered my crazy questions and emails. We first visited in person when we were looking for an apartment in Raleigh. We made the 10 hour round trip just for the Castle and fell immediately in love and paid the deposit a month later. We went to the vendor showcase, which was a huge help, since we lived out of town. We found an amazing photographer and caterer! It's been two months since the wedding and friends and family are still raving about how amazing it was! Joy helped us organize every detail and she was so knowledgeable. It flowed seamlessly from ceremony to dinner to reception. People were apprehensive about how far it was but those who made the trip said it was definitely worth it. You can't find a more romantic and intimate location with such a stunning back drop than Castle Ladyhawke. They give you access to the Castle early enough to set up if you are a DIY bride like I was. They also let you choose other vendors and don't limit you to an approved list or charge you for outside vendors. We also stayed the night which was a big relief when it came to packing up all the decorations. Additionally they provide on site guest housing that is similar to a hotel. We came up a couple days early and stayed at the cabins down the road. We also had our rehearsal there which was great! Some venues are so booked you have to be squeezed in for a short rehearsal. They have several packages to choose from or you can simply rent the venue and rentals like we did. It's all based on what you can spend. We can't tell you enough how satisfied we both were with Castle Ladyhawke. It was everything we ever wanted and more!

I selected an elopement package with Castle Ladyhawke and it was truly a great deal. You get to have your fairytale wedding in a castle for a reasonable price. The price includes music, cake, champagne toast, bouquet, and more. I couldn't have been happier. They gave us plenty of time to use the grounds for photography and the staff was extremely friendly and make sure we had everything we needed! Many friends have gotten married at Castle Ladyhawke and there will be many more to come!

I knew in February 2013 when we first visited the Castle that we were going to get married there. My then fiance (now husband for 5 days) and I completely fell in love the moment we visited. We rented the castle all weekend, along with both on site villages (what a fantastic place for family and friends!) It was an absolutely perfect weekend. Kim and Joy were amazing in our requests and assisted us with whatever we needed, with a smile on their faces. I am still on cloud 9 over our perfect wedding weekend, and hope I never come back down. It is seriously a dream come true. No words to explain it's beauty and views...not to mention the details involved around every corner. I want to live there!!!! I could not have asked for a more perfect venue. The pictures do not do it justice... just the feeling you get while you are there with the people you love the most is indescribable. Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams!

We had a small family only wedding and stayed the night in the Castle. It was a dream come true! They were so helpful in setting up everything exactly as we wanted and we could not have asked for a more beautiful venue. Every single detail in the decor of the castle makes it so authentic and amazing. Our pictures were amazing - everyone asked if we were at a location in Europe!! Some family also stayed in the Gypsy Camp and absolutely loved the cabins! It was so nice to have such a beautiful but remote venue that we had all to ourselves!! Thank you!!

Castle Ladyhawke was the perfect place for my Fairytale wedding. Kim, Joy and ALL the staff were GREAT!!! They were kind, courteous, professional, patient, friendly and accommodating. When the weather changed suddenly, the staff was extremely efficient and prompt in breaking down one area and setting it up for the ceremony in a matter of minutes. They are the BEST!! The Castle is absolutely breathtaking!! You really do not have to do a lot of decorating, because the Castle has its own natural beauty. The grounds are immaculate and there are hundreds of photo opportunities. The Castle can supply you with everything you need for your dream wedding. What a place to have a wedding. Such a vast amount of different ideas can be implemented there. The staff went far beyond what they needed to to help me with this wedding. Our rental company was 6 hours late but when they finally did arrive ALL the staff at the Castle jumped right in, with out my asking, and helped get the dining room set up. I was overwhelmed with everyone there. If you are looking for a dream wedding this is the place to go.

Oh my gosh, what's not to love about this gorgeous castle nestled in the most beautiful mountains on earth? I came across Castle Ladyhawke on a fluke, and I'm so glad I did. We rented the castle for the entire weekend, reserved all the cottages for our family members and just made a big ol' party of it. The castle staff is WONDERFUL, and the entire weekend was perfect. It was the most special weekend of my life, and I'll never forget it.

Wow!. I cannot say enough about the beauty of this place. My daughter wanted a fairy tale wedding and Ladyhawke made all of her dreams come true.
The setting is so unique. The entire staff are all pros and have the wedding business down to a fine art. They were so helpful with the planning process and were able to guide us in the right directions. Our guests have called, written and sought us out in person to tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they have attended.

Kim and Joy were awesome. Venue speaks for itself! They set up vendor visits the first time we visited and that made the selection process easy. The caterer that nearly screwed up my wedding (elite catering) has been removed from their suggestions site so I believe the do their best to suggest quality responsible vendors! They are really good at answering questions and accommodating the brides needs.

My daughter just got married last weekend at Castle Ladyhawke. It was a wonderful experience. We were very fortunate that the weather cooperated with us and the ceremony was performed outside on the rear lawn, giving a background to the ceremony that could no way be manufactured. It was only the work of the Lord that could make something so beautiful. It was a long way for me to travel since I live in California, but she lived in a neighboring town. The grounds of the castle were very nicely kept, the interior of the castle was exquisite and accommodating, the staff was awesome to work with, so helpful and very very nice. My husband and I held our ceremony and wedding reception at Castle Ladyhawke. Throughout the planning process, Kim was always available via email to assist me with any questions or concerns. On the day of, Joy was amazing with helping things to run smoothly. It rained all day and it was colder than expected outside, so our ceremony and cocktail hour had to be moved indoors. It all worked out beautifully. My guests really enjoyed themselves as well as my husband and I! If you want a truly romantic and fairy tale wedding, do it at Castle Ladyhawke.

Castle Ladyhawke was the perfect venue for our fairytale wedding. I put a deposit down on the Castle without even having visited, because the photos online blew me away - and their calendar fills up quickly. All I can say is that it was the best decision I could have made! In person, the Castle is even more beautiful and our wedding was everything I dreamt it would be.

The Castle's Great Hall was the perfect venue for our intimate evening wedding, with a reception afterwards on the beautiful back deck (with amazing views out from the mountain top), and then a plated dinner back in the Great Hall. (The fantastic Castle staff were able to re-set the Great Hall for dinner in less than an hour.)

We arrived early in the day with our wedding party and were able to feel right at home in the Castle -- there's a lovely bridal suite, a groom's suite, and a mother-in-law's suite (all of which are beautifully appointed down to the finest detail and HUGE -I was nervous about having too many people there as I was trying to get ready, but there was plenty of room for myself and my entire bridal party in the bridal suite.) There is also a great pub/game room, with a pool table and darts - where the boys were able to pass the time while we got ready!

But, though the Castle itself is wonderful, it is the owner and staff that truly makes Castle Ladyhawke so special. Right from the start, the Castle's owner, Kim, was there to answers my (Many!) questions. I was planning the wedding from out of town, based on one short visit to the Castle. So, having Kim to call and talk to throughout the planning process was invaluable. And the Castle attendant, Joy and her staff made the day of the wedding such a joy. They were wonderful at anticipating needs and making sure that everything flowed smoothly. I can't say enough wonderful things about them!

Castle Ladyhawke is a beautiful location for a wedding. Because it is so nice, we hardly needed any additional decoration. Joy and her staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. They had great ideas to overcome just about any problem. I have received comments from our guests like "That wedding was absolutely perfect." "The wedding was like one you would see in the movies." "Best wedding I've ever been to." Because Joy and her staff were so helpful, as mother of the bride, there was no stress for any of us, except for the natural nerves of the bride and groom. I had the most beautiful venue for my wedding. All of our guests, including our own bridal and groom parties complimented us on our gorgeous castle wedding. This was the only wedding venue my now husband and I went to see in person. We were in love with everything about it. We knew that our photographs would be wonderful. We know that those photos are what we and our future children will have to look back on and that means a lot. We loved that the grounds were so green and alive and because of that, our photos were outstanding! Kim & all of the castle staff was very helpful and promptly replied to emails and phone calls. I am from SC, so having easy communications made the process much less stressful. I can't recommend a better venue for a beautiful and regal castle wedding in the NC mountains!

I loved my venue, the mountain backdrop was gorgeous. I was an out of state bride and saw the place only once before getting married, but any question I had the Castle Staff went out of their way to find out and answer. Everything went pretty much perfectly, everyone had a blast. The addition of the new deck was awesome for cocktail hour and dancing. The other recommended vendors were all fantastic. If I had to do it all over, I wouldn't change a thing!

Castle Ladyhawks is an absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding. Kim and her associates were helpful and gracious every step of the way. Even though we used an excellent wedding planner, if I sent an e-mail to Kim she responded well before 24 hours had elapsed. She recommended a local child care provider and helped with countless other little details which created a very calm atmosphere. From the venue to the valet, I don't think you could find a better venue to have the wedding of your dream.

We were very happy that we chose the Madison Hotel! We worked with Tim, and he was fantastic, always responsive to our calls and emails and going the extra mile in many ways to give us the best service. We had our ceremony in the Conservatory and the reception in the ballroom. The conservatory is a great alternative to an outdoor wedding since weather in the Northeast can be unpredictable. The ballroom had been recently renovated and we loved the dark blue and gold color scheme and chandeliers. I did bring in white chair covers to brighten it up a little bit, and the Madison hotel staff helped me set up and clean that up even though it wasn't their stuff. Everything on the wedding day went extremely smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and we've been to 2 other friend's weddings there since!

Gorgeous venue with an extremely competent staff! The location is a bit remote and that can make logistics a bit more painful... but it also makes it an extremely intimate and personal setting. The bridal party had a fabulous time getting ready in the bridal suite while the groomsmen relaxed in the pub. If you want a special, unique place to have a wedding, definitely visit the castle. The staff go out of their way to answer questions and help in every way! My only recommendations to improve the experience are to lower the $150 rehersal fee if the couple wishes to rehearse the evening before and allow decorating the eve of the wedding when there are no other weddings scheduled, the only stressful part of the day.

The castle is an absolutely gorgeous place to get married! I was completely against an indoor wedding until I found this venue and fell in love. Well worth the drive for a destination wedding!

This location is perfect...castle, smoky mountains, remote. My husband and I wanted a location that differs from your average wedding and Castle Ladyhawke takes the cake! Our guests were blown away by the venue, the views and by the staff. I personally received great advice from Kim (owner) and Sabrina (staff). The day of wedding, Joy (castle attendant) and staff helped whatever way they could. We felt supported and in good hands. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride and groom who are looking for not your average venue.

Castle Ladyhawke was beautiful. The staff was awesome! I had no problems working with anyone on the Castle Ladyhawke staff. They made the planning process very smooth and were quick to help with any questions I had during the planning process.

Helpful Hints:

Find out exactly how the grounds/landscaping will look on YOUR wedding day. For example, the gorgeous arch/arbor in the front lawn of the castle typically has gorgeous greenery and florals throughout the summer, however on my wedding day these flowers were gone and the greenery had been removed. This was a slight letdown, as I had envisioned having some photos taken in this spot. So, just ask! I'm sure the staff would've been more than happy to recommend the best spots on the property for good landscaping, etc. for your particular month & weather situation on the day-of.

Be careful with your belongings. One of my bridesmaids lost a pair of expensive sunglasses in the bridal suite. Guests wander about during the reception and do so to use restrooms, etc.

Utilize ALL of the beautiful photo opportunity locations on the property! In the outdoor hallway by the wine cellar, the side gardens, the front lawn, the front of the castle, the back porch, and the back lawn... not to mention the spiral staircase, bridal suite, chandelier in the mother-in-law suite, etc.

I absolutely loved Castle Ladyhawke! The location was beautiful, the owner (Kim) is incredibly helpful and went out of her way to help me on many occassions during the planning process even though I had a wedding planner. The prices were reasonable, good, if you take into account everything that comes with the day. Our wedding was so beautiful a couple who was attending the wedding were motivated and got engaged that night. Following the wedding, 2 of my guests left things behind (camera, sunglasses, purse) and according to the guests, Castle Ladyhawke staff went above and beyond to ensure they got their stuff back. I have nothing but good things to say about Castle Ladyhawke. There are definitely cheaper venues but none could have been as beautiful or perfect for my wedding.

The venue is storybook and fairytale. Emma was great and committed to making the day great. It’s a bit frustrating the base price of the wedding packages are pretty minimal in the inclusions and the add-ons like certain cake flavors, flowers other than bouquet and boutonnière for Erick and Rebecca, all makeup/hair, standard stuff really were exhausting. Makes it feel very a la carte. But the day was perfect and we were very pleased with Castle Ladyhawke.

A Magical Day at a Castle in the Mountains

Morgan, Kelsie, Callie, and all the staff we interacted with at Castle Ladyhawke were wonderful! They pulled off the vision I had and everything went smoothly on the day! It really was a magical day. Can't thank everyone there enough!

Our wedding at Castle Ladyhawke was truly epic--the castle, views, and ambience of everything completely set the mood we were looking for! Joy and Sabrina were a pleasure to work with leading up to the big day and during the wedding-very friendly and accommodating. We felt that the price to rent the castle overnight was high but in the end it was worth it for a night to remember for us and our closest family and friends. The castle does have a lot of rules in their contract that limited their flexibility on a few issues but everything worked out great. The owner was a bit brusque several times which was uncomfortable in communications. This is a one of a kind wedding venue! I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to wed in Western North Carolina!
