My now husband and I got married at Castello di Ristonchi this October and cannot say enough good things about our decision to have our event here. From start to finish, this venue provided an *experience*. It is so much more than a destination wedding venue. The pasta making, the pizza making, the secluded location that's all yours, the SUNSETS, the Rave Cave, and all the coordination of meals and activities made this such a perfect choice. Our guests could not say enough about our wedding weekend. It was pure magic. If you are looking for luxury or are a high maintenance bride, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for authentic, cozy, unpretentious, and warm, this is definitely the place. Make sure you order the butter and sage ravioli as part of your wedding dinner. I'm still day dreaming about it.

Such an amazing experience. We loved the history of the castle. The views are breathtaking. The dinner was one of the best meals we had in all of Italy! The host and staff were excellent. It was an added bonus to have the hiking trails and bikes.

My fiancé and I were so excited when we found this gem to host our destination wedding. We signed our wedding agreement July 2019 and then the pandemic hit and our plans were completely thrown for a loop. While this was one of the most difficult times to plan a wedding and we had to postpone our 2020 destination wedding, Stefani, Rasmus and Christina made our celebration in 2021 so special. The Castello di Ristonchi team was reliable every step of the planning process and even exceeded our expectations. The second that our guests checked in they were swept away with the breathtaking views of the Tuscan hills and the food was hands down the best Italian food we've ever had... trust us, my fiancé and I used to live in Italy. Stefani and Rasmus welcomed us to their dreamy castle, the chapel was perfect for our ceremony and the outdoor reception was everything we had hoped for under a beautiful scenic sunset and stringed lights. Plus, they have the best network of local vendors from the acoustic musicians that played all night long to the makeup artist. Thank you, Castello di Ristonchi! My husband and I can't wait to return with our family and someday with our children.

Our wedding at Castello di Ristonchi was a dream. From the first email to Stefanie until the very last day we spent at the Castello, the genuine concern and outstanding hospitality NEVER changed. My husband and I are both based outside of Italy . Our wedding planning consisted of a lot of emails to and from Stefanie and her team, but emails were answered right away, and she even connected us to suppliers that they have had success with in the past.

We cannot wish for a better location than this historic 1,00 year old castle - surrounded by rolling Tuscan hills, the word "beautiful" falls short to describe Ristonchi.

As for Stefanie and the rest of the team, we are so,so, so thankful to them for making it possible for me and husband to have a stress free and perfect Tuscan wedding. Looking forward to returning here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary!!!!!

I was lucky enough to get to stay at Castello di Risonchi in late May 2019 for my little brother's wedding. The experience was so great it's hard to know where to begin. The setting is absolutely picturesque, nestled in the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside in a building that dates to at least 900 (at least simply because that’s the oldest deed of sale that the owners had found). The rooms are quaint and comfortable, and the views from the top rooms unparalleled.

The castello is under new management and Rasmus and Stephanie couldn’t have been better. They were super helpful, very engaged and worked tirelessly to make sure everything went well, including when a brief but intense rainstorm hit minutes before dinner was supposed to begin. The whole dinner was moved inside in minutes and we barely missed a beat. Apart from their professionalism the owners were also, simply, lovely people who were great to have around in the wedding atmosphere and a joy when we finally convinced them and the rest of the staff to join us on the dance floor! 10 stars out of 5, if you want a great Italian castle stay, look no further.

Our son was married at Ristonchi in May 2019. It could not have been a better experience. Rasmus and Stefanie and their staff are comfortable, approachable, and felt like family immediately. They were in the background providing a fun, warm, rustic setting, until they were needed and then they were always at hand. They managed 90 guests professionally, anticipating the needs of the moment. They managed to get the wedding dinner moved inside when a downpour started 5 minutes after the ceremony, and it was every bit as lovely as outside (which is spectacular). Over the course of a long weekend (Thurs to Sunday), there were lots of small touches of welcome and comfort. The food was plentiful and delicious. There were lots of fun things to do -- mountain biking, hiking, and lounging by the pool during downtimes, and the castle, the adjacent buildings and surrounding fields offer many flexible spaces for all kinds and sizes of activities and groups. It was so relaxing and fun!
The setting is true Tuscan idyll -- if anything, the photos don't do it justice.

Wow! Where do I even begin. We worked with Stefanie and Rasmus for many months to plan a wedding at their castle in Ristonchi. I am so fortunate to have discovered their beautiful place on Airbnb. The hosts were great and helped me to organize a wedding ceremony and reception at their place for 25 total guests.

We had 23 people total who stayed the night and their place definitely was comfortable for everyone. We were able to place our guests in rooms that would best accommodate them. Every guest kept saying just how cool it was to stay in a castle that was built in the 12th century! The beds are very comfortable and the views were awesome from the tower, were we had everyone stay.

For our reception, we did the make your own pizza party and it was such a hit! Rasmus was great and helped everyone learn how to cook in the wood-fired pizza oven.

The grounds are absolutely stunning and we were able to catch the most beautiful sunset right after our wedding ceremony. Definitely walk around and take in the breathtaking mountains. I only wish we could have booked another night to stay because I could have spent a lot of time exploring the town and walking around the castle grounds.

I highly recommend Stefanie and Rasmus' place for a relaxing getaway in Italy and it's perfect if you're looking to host an event like a wedding, family reunion, etc. We cannot thank them enough for making our wedding day a dream come true!!

Best decision ever! I wanted a destination wedding that was simple, pretty, rustic and romantic. Really just centered around my loved ones who were making a big trip overseas to be there.
Ristonchi organized everything beautifully - we got their package that offered really everything! It was all taken care of - the rooms, the food, the cake, the music, the party, the ceremony, the drinks. Like a one stop shop for gorgeous (and affordable!!) weddings!
Working with Stefanie was fun and easy, she always had everything under control and new what I wanted/needed before I did.
