Stunning castle!
"We held our son Ryan and daughter inlaw Ericka’s wedding at Castello Brancaccio on June 25, 2024 and had an incredible experience! The venue's natural beauty and picturesque gardens provided a stunning backdrop for the ceremony and reception. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. The food was delicious, and the bar options were plentiful. Our guests praised the venue's ambiance and amenities. we highly recommend Castello Brancaccio for its beauty, service, and value. 5/5 stars!-

Fairy Tale Wedding. Perfection
Everything about this venue; staff, food, drinks, view, town it’s located in, etc. was perfect. Maria, Tim, Andre were all amazing and took care of everything. They were so accommodating where they could for little changes but made everything so special and so easy. We had multiple meetings beforehand with the staff and whenever we had questions or changes over the year prior to the wedding they responding within 24 hours (because of time difference). One of the main reasons we chose this venue was because of the price point we checked over 80 different venues across 5 countries and this venue was hands down the best overall and checked all of our boxes. Even then the experience still blew our expectations out of the water and we were given a wedding that we would have paid twice the cost for. I think it may have been a little too perfect because after the weekend my wife was a little sad after having the most magical moment ever end haha. For those traveling the vendors they also provided that they work with were amazing and accommodating (Colizzi and Daniela Flowers) would highly recommend that if you book this venue that you go with those vendors.Castello Brancaccio's reply:
Dear Ian & Kayla, thank you from all of us for these kind words. We did not realice you had this journey prior to confirming with us. It was a pleasure and whenever you are back in the area lpease come by for a drink with us and share your wedding pictures with us. With love from all of us. -

Absolutely Perfect Fairytale Wedding at Castello BrancacciO
We had our wedding at Castello Brancaccio, and it was truly the most magical experience we could have ever imagined. The celebration lasted for three unforgettable days, with our guests staying two nights at the castle, and everything—from the rooms to the food to the atmosphere—was simply perfect.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and professionalism. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. Throughout the entire three days, they made sure every detail was taken care of, and any small issues were resolved immediately with a smile.
The wedding day itself was flawless. The ceremony in the castle’s stunning setting felt straight out of a fairytale, and the reception ran seamlessly thanks to the amazing team. The food was exceptional—authentic Italian dishes beautifully presented, with delicious local ingredients and a perfect balance of tradition and creativity. The drinks were just as fantastic, from Aperol Spritz to the local wines and cocktails served at the bar.
Our guests were delighted with the comfortable and elegant rooms, and the rustic breakfast buffet the next morning was a real treat—freshly baked bread, cheeses, fruit, and great coffee served in the medieval kitchen.
A special mention goes to our DJ, who kept the dance floor alive all night—everyone was up dancing, laughing, and enjoying themselves until the very last song. It was exactly the lively, joyful atmosphere we had hoped for.
Every part of the castle, from the terrace to the dining halls and gardens, was beautifully prepared and perfectly lit, creating the most romantic ambiance imaginable.
We can confidently say this was a wedding we and our guests will remember for the rest of our lives. Castello Brancaccio is not just a venue—it’s an experience filled with heart, history, and outstanding hospitality. To the entire team: thank you for making our dream wedding come true. ❤️Castello Brancaccio's reply:
Thank you for your review, we were absolutely delighted to host your wedding at our venue, you and your guests were a pure ppleasure to work with? We wish you the best of luck and please come to stay with us next time you are in Rome!

It’s More Than a Castle. It’s a Culture and a Magical Experience
Not only did I experience the beauty, ambiance, and charm of a historic castle and all its magnificence, but most importantly I experienced a culture of kindness that is infused throughout the castle walls and all its staff. During my 2 day stay I became immersed in an other worldly experience that made me feel more like royalty rather than the ordinary individual I am. I was sad to have departed because I felt that I was leaving a new family behind. That’s how special this extraordinary place is, and how special its extraordinary staff made me feel. As the founder of Kindness Worldwide I know a “culture of kindness” when I see it, but more importantly when I feel it. Kindness was infused throughout my 2 day stay, and I experienced nothing but love and kindness throughout. It was an experience I will always remember with a staff who quickly became friends who I will forever cherish and never forget. -

Unique once in a lifetime experience!
Everything was lovely. Never in my life I experienced such a high level of service. They really treat you as kings and queens, but still really easy to approach. Nothing is too much. They take the time and doesn’t leave you until it’s arranged. Just the perfect service. We had an upgrade of the room. So kind. Before we told them we wanted to have a photoshoot during our honeymoon and stay in the castle. They helped us to find a hairdresser and photographer. We wore our bridal clothes again and they were really helpful with everything.-

Can’t wait to come back again!-

Lovely venue professional staff. A wedding of my daughter’s dreams.
Lovely staff. Beautiful venue. Our planner Riccardo was on top of all the details from the beginning and we planned the wedding in about 6 months from the USA. We all stayed at the venue so all rooms included in the cost all meals special cooking class dinner on terrace on and on. We zoomed to finalize all the details and from the time we arrived until we left everything was a fairytale. It’s a real castle so expect it to be authentic. The view from the terrace is just gorgeous. The dining rooms are all fabulous you can’t go wrong whichever one you select. Our rooms were all unique and our youngest guest felt like a princess in her poster bed. We did they pasta class and dinner and that was fun. I enjoyed morning coffee at the local shop it was amazing. A thank to Roberto for following up to make sure all was as we expected and I could only say it was better.-

June Wedding 2024
We had been to the venue a number of times and its amazing setting was not lost on us, but we were swiftly reminded how unique Castello Brancaccio was when our 80 guests arrived for our wedding. The team are building something very special and every time we return there has been something new completed to add to the overall experience. -

Perfect wedding
We had our wedding at Castello brancaccio last weekend and it was perfect. From the moment of the first contact with Christian(owner) we felt heared. We received the quote with a proposal on how the weekend would go, we could change anything we wanted, nothing was to much, they even came with some suggestions on what would work or not.
The weekend itself was perfect, from the magic castle, the rooms are perfectly renovated in the theme of the castle with all the ammenities. The medieval kitchen is beautiful to have youre breakfast. And the dining room with the murals are insane to have diner.
The organisation of the weekend was perfect, the service was perfect, they where friendly and very skilled. Food was also very good, cooked as it should be. All in all they exceeded our expecations and if you are thinking of getting married there, do it!-

The perfect fantasy wedding
We cannot stress how PHENOMENAL the team at Castello Brancaccio is. My fiancé and I were married there in October of 2025, but planning began close to eighteen months before.
When we first reached out, we had to make sure they were comfortable with a gay couple and were responded to with the most genuine kindness and love. From there, we knew this was the venue for us. When we visited for two days to ensure it would accommodate all the needs, we were wined, dined, given a loaner vehicle, and treated with so much kindness.
From there, the planning was easy -- even being an ocean apart. The entire team was responsive, and despite our numerous questions, they had it all ready for us.
When the wedding date arrived, our two days were among the best in our lives. As grooms, they gave us the full treatment. Our 45ish guests were in awe of the beautiful surroundings and castle, the stunning rooms, and the gorgeous town. The days went off without a hitch (well, the only hitches caused by us, like losing florals -- but they were resolved by the Castello staff!).
We will absolutely be back at Castello Brancaccio in the future. While we're already married, we just want to see the gorgeous area, Castello, and staff again.
Thank you so much!

A fairytale come true
Having our wedding at Castello Brancaccio was the best decision we’ve ever made.
We hadn’t seen the castle ourselves before arriving for our wedding, which of course made us nervous, but the process to plan everything was extremely thorough. We worked with Christian, Riccardo, and Roberts for about a year via email and had great communication. Once we were there, every single thing about the venue blew our expectations away. It is simply stunning. Every room is beautiful and the view is unbeatable.
The venue connected us with most of our vendors; Melania Mariano for hair and makeup, Colizzi Fotografi for videography, & Daniela Ferraro for florals. We also hired Oksana Savenchuk as our photographer. All of these vendors were amazing, and their professionalism truly made all the difference in our successful day. We recommend them all highly as they know the location well.
The CB staff all around was incredibly responsive to our directions, kind and helpful to us and all our guests, and went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect in every way. Daniele and Maria especially worked hard for us when we arrived on site and were 2 of our favorite people in all of Italy. The bartenders and servers were all so kind and spoke English very well with our guests.
Our ceremony on the panoramic terrace was pure magic. All of our instructions for the music were followed to perfection. The staff even executed our first dance video on a projector screen flawlessly without any rehearsal. During cocktail hour, they brought us as the newlyweds an entire plate of each of the appetizers to ourselves, ensuring we were well fed and had full drinks at all times. There was no hesitation to make sure we were happy on our big day.
The food was above our expectations as well. We hadn’t tasted our menu, just hoped it would be good - and the chef did not disappoint on any of our dishes. Our wedding cake was gorgeous too. Even the rehearsal dinner and breakfast impressed our guests! The DJ did not use our playlist for the dance party, but it was still very fun music and the lights & laser were awesome.
With destination weddings, it’s so easy for something to go wrong. It’s truly incredible that everything was so excellent at Castello Brancaccio. The food, staff, accommodations, surrounding town, and overall beautiful vibe was everything we could’ve asked for and more.
We can never thank Castello Brancaccio enough for the most perfect wedding we ever could’ve imagined. Not one of our guests will ever forget the time we spent at this special place, and we already can’t wait to come back someday ❤️ -

Fairytale wedding!
We had our 90 person wedding at Castello Brancaccio in May 2024 and couldn’t have been happier. The venue is absolutely stunning - pictures and videos don’t do it justice! Having everyone stay on site and at Hotel La Cerra 10 min away was ideal. Our family and friends couldn’t stop raving about the views, food, and drinks. We were really Impressed by the team on the ground and how flexible they were with our requests and ensuring everything went smoothly during the wedding weekend. The owner, Christian, even called in a favor to get us shuttle buses from Rome when other options fell through. Highly recommend visiting in person for planning purposes as the team will work with you on custom options to make your vision a reality.

Nice venue, mixed experiences with management
Although the venue is beautiful and we enjoyed working with Maria & Riccardo, we have a hard time recommending the venue because of issues with communication and coordination.
Throughout the planning process we encountered many unnecessary obstacles and issues.
--There were frequent instances of nickel-and-dime behaviour - it felt as though management was seeking every opportunity for an upcharge (for example, adding many staff cost hours when we asked about moving a few terrace tables). --Another example was a surprise upcharge for a different version of the dinner menu, which was not communicated upfront. Additional charges such as a landscaping fee for maintaining the grounds were simply annoying.
--In general, the coordination between our day-to-day coordinator and management was inconsistent. It felt as though “the rules” were often changed based on the preferences of management, and staff would overpromise because they were not informed about the latest.
--Receiving information about the wedding packages and options took way too many repeated requests and phone calls. Topics such as changes to the menu, vegetarian/vegan alternatives, table cloth & seat cover options took weeks to resolve.
We used Farmhouse La Cerra to accommodate our extra guests. It is marketed as “Villa Brancaccio”, but in reality this is an independent business with a loose affiliation (third-party supplier). The castle management promised a number of things but the Farmhouse management would reject these options or chose to opportunistically upcharge us. The response from Brancaccio management was that the Farmhouse had a “right to run their business as they see fit” - not a true partnership and not a nice way of doing business. Simply put, we were promised many things by Brancaccio management which turned out not to be possible, or were possible only with significant added cost.
The hotel check-in process at Brancaccio and La Cerra was not the best - a few of our guests ended up having to usher people in and help them find their rooms because there was not an organised check-in system. The rooms at Brancaccio are clean and nicely furnished, but housekeeping was inconsistent and did not follow the set schedule that you might expect at a normal hotel.
Day-of wedding coordination was just ok. Some things went well because Brancaccio staff did a good job, others went well only because our external vendors (DJ, photographer, videographer) had to prompt the staff (e.g. we moved our guests to the dining room at the agreed-upon time but the staff was not fully prepared).
In the spirit of fairness, here are the things that did go well:
--Catering staff was amazing - many thanks to Fabio and others for being so attentive and providing such good service
--The venue is a beautiful facility for a wedding, many of our guests commented on this part
--The quality of the food at Brancaccio and La Cerra was very good
--The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable
--The bridal and tower suite were nicely furnished and great for the bride/groom parties to get ready
--Management did upgrade our room when we were staying at the castle prior to the wedding, that was appreciated
If you do decide to pursue Brancaccio as a wedding venue, we would recommend:
--Not using La Cerra for any events, accommodation only if needed for extra guests
--Consider hiring a wedding planner/coordinator to work closely with staff on day-of. We were able to handle this ourselves and with the help of our family, but if you want to do it properly a dedicated coordinator would be useful.
--Pay very close attention to contract line items and confirm all assumptions and promises in writing early in the process, to avoid surprises later when you are already committedCastello Brancaccio's reply:
Dear Jeff, thank you for your positive & partial critical feedback. Truly appreciated. We try to make our qoutation as clear as possible For example : we make extra cost clear if any upgrade was requested or give an alternative within the price calculated. I tripple checked all your qoutes & communications. La Cera extra cost was clear. Pool party exclusive rent charge & non exclusive ( share with other guest . Its a choice and no hidden fee. Regarding the menu we have checked and I strongly disagree. You had a 3 course menu with set menu however an upgrade was requested on main course and a lot of individual dishes . See below. No problem but very labor intensive. Yes ,extra chef was needed and we charged 5 euro extra cost . See below the final menu . As per your feedback on upsell. Please may I remind you that you double transfered the final invoice ( very high amount and on your day of arrival I tripple checked with you and at that moment you where not even aware of the double payment. After the funds where fully cleared by our bank in Italy we immediately transfered the high amount back into your account. We did not charge for the extra transfer fee ( for your info ) We simply forgot. :-) Regarding housekeeping, we are flexibel on times as on a wedding day we wait till the ceremony starts as it does not make sence to clean if everybody is still in the room doing make up and dress up. We choose to start cleaning after guest have left so when they come back late at night the room is clean instead of half used . Yes this is not in line with hotel standards but more focused into the personal need of our couples. Nothing is more annoying then to have housekeeping at 11am come cleaning if guest are still in the middle of there make up etc. We concider it a service with flexibility. On a note This was the final menu.

Gorgeous Venue, Difficult Planning
Castello Brancaccio was a stunning location for a wedding. We had under 100 guests including young children. All the guests were so impressed by the venue. Our wedding photos were gorgeous!
Planning the wedding was not as smooth sailing. They welcomed us and show cased the venue very well when we visited. After confirming the venue we had limited communications with the venue (understandably given how many events they have!). However we were promised all will be discussed at the last point meeting. When it came to the last point meeting, the person leading the meeting was strictly reading through his PDF focused on the money. He didn’t screen share his document, and we were scrolling through a pdf following how their venue recommends scheduling the day. This was hard to follow as when he made adjustments on his copy, our page numbers were not lining up. Frustratingly, at the end of the meeting we still had no understanding of how the wedding day would run nor the final cost (the final cost was not even agreed until a week before the wedding). The priority should have been our expectations for the day, but it was very much the costs.
We had to get spirits for the day of the wedding for the bar. We did ask repeatedly about costs, but again this wasn’t very clear. We had an bill that was higher than expected provided to us the morning after the wedding. Again, this was a cost that could have been confirmed before hand since we had provided the informations about what was asked, which would have allowed for time to negotiate if communication was clear.
We were informed there was a wedding coordinator and who will our support on the day to make sure things run smoothly. I had sent my schedule and my understanding of the wedding day, but we never had an opportunity to touch base before the wedding. Of course on the wedding day, it was hectic. My cousin ended up having to run around to guide how we wanted to rooms arranged and items set up, and to guide guests at different stages of the day. If we had known that ensuring the set up would be done hours before the ceremony, or that my cousin would have had to run around to usher people we would have prepped for more people to support. Realistic expectations would have reduced stress levels on the day. I would recommend that you have a trusted person be the coordinator for the day who is aware of everything and is able to organize details on the day of the wedding. For example, we were told we could not be in the dining hall for desserts, but after the three courses we weren’t informed guests could leave for desserts. We had lost an hour of people mingling and wondering what was happening before we noticed that all meals had been served (we had used the three dining rooms so people were served at different times). Once we realised this, we had to usher guests out of dining hall, as well as find out how to get the microphone to the main room for speeches.
The venue was also extremely upset with us that many of our guests had chosen to rent air bnbs rather than stay at the venue or partner hotel. They kindly helped with organising taxis, as they warned us without speaking italian it would be difficult to organise this ourselves. I had sent them a list 4 months in advance to explain when people needed to be picked up and dropped off including all addresses with numbers, grouped by proximity. We were still receiving calls the day before the wedding about the difficulties of organizing this including comments about how silly people were to book airbnbs instead of choosing the accommodation suggested. This was unnecessary given that it wasn’t our choice where guests chose to stay, and we were paying for their rides to get to the venue. We do appreciate that a person helped us to organize this, and it was clear this was not associated with the venues.
Those who stayed at the venue found it comfortable. The bridal suite was large enough so all the girls could easily get ready! There were a lot of big country bugs flying about, but we were informed this is expected in a country site. They were not in all rooms, but unfortunately present in the bridal suite. The cafe next to venue was easy to access and they had great food and drinks which worked out very well for us the day before and morning of the wedding.
Overall, I found the lead up to the wedding very stressful due to the lack of communication. On the day of the wedding, I still had many moments of having to address aspects that I had already planned and emailed about previously (layout, flow of the day, taxi pick ups/drop offs), which added to stress. The wedding went very well overall, there were just small details that we couldn’t action because of not being able to liaise with someone from the venue face to face before the wedding. Importantly, Maria and Daniel were very helpful on the day of the wedding. Roberts also helped with taxis which we appreciate. I think if you have a wedding for less than sixty people the venue will be able to easily manage that. I think the venue is stunning and experience our families and friends will never forget.
Castello Brancaccio's reply:
Dear JS,
Thank you very much for your review and constructive comments! We are very happy that besides certain things you enjoyed your big day, it was a pleasure hosting your wedding at our venue!
Just to respond and explain certain issues you have touched upon.
Thank you for understanding that we are very busy during the high season and obviously not able to reply as quickly as during the low season. We however are normally available at a short notice for any calls that might arise.
About the last point meeting. The last point meeting normally takes place three weeks before the wedding, we send you some papers to fill in and it serves to go precisely through the programme of the wedding following chronological order and for us to take notes so we can follow your instructions as precisely as possible. It is obviously normal to also discuss the prices and include all the optional items which we always do exactly at the last point meeting. We regret that you took it as an offence to talk about the costs and perhaps caring less for your wedding, we assure you that the meeting is structured in a way that we do not diverge from the main focus – making sure we do not miss any details of your wedding. The nature of the call is to be efficient and practical for your own benefit. It is also the purpose to talk through all the costs so you have no surprises later. After the meeting we send you the updated proposal with all the costs clearly marked. If you had anything to pay on the day of the check out it means you either extended the party last minute or for example if you still had us buy hard liquor which we buy on your behalf, there are no other scenarios as the wedding must be paid in full 7 days prior its taking place. We are sorry that there was a misunderstanding.
As for the event manager, we always have one and he is responsible for making sure your guests follow your timetable. We serve table by table, 5 waiters at a time, so it is normal that if you have say 10 tables the table last table will be served several minutes later than the first as otherwise we would need an army of waiters to serve everyone at the same time. We however are glad to hear that you have no complaints about the quality of the food which means the waiters and kitchen did their job successfully. Desserts are normally served downstairs on the same floor where the party takes place, and it is clearly written in the quote (each section of the day has a location indicated for it). Also the manager is present at all times and guides your guests to those places. We cannot comment as to why your cousin had to do it but perhaps you refer to the the last 15 minutes of dinner when manager goes downstairs to check the party area is ready and prepare the cake for the cutting, only once he has made sure everything is ready does he go to the couple and shows them all and when they give OK do we then invite all the guests downstairs for the cake cutting, desserts and the party. We cannot comment on private initiatives of guests.
As regards your hotel accommodation, we would like to clear that half of your guests booked rooms all over the province of Rome, in some cases in the outskirts of towns far away from the venue without first occupying all our hotel capacity. We are also unsure why they chose to go to certains B&Bs in the middle of literally nowhere where even the taxi driver we normally work with refused to go because it was a small countryside road where he couldn’t pass. I think the issue I am afraid was that you offered your guests to pay for the shuttle and gave them opportunity to book in the most improbable places they could find which obviously understandbly enough bloated your transportation budget. It is not for nothing that we invite your guest to stay in one of the partner hotels or take B&Bs in the same town where the venue is located, your guests had clearly chosen not to make use of our cottages and not one B&B next to the Castle (out of 5 available) and instead go to unexpectedly badly located hotels. We normally help you with booking shuttles for guests staying in partner hotels, in this case we actually still fixed the transportation for you even if the guests should have thought better when booking their accommodation at very distant places. We have in fact personally driven some of your guests for free of charge because there was no taxi available or willing to pick up your guests, we thank you for recognising this.
Once again we are really greatful to your compliments of our team and the venue itself, we are very sorry you had the added stress on the day of the wedding which is surely not what we wanted to create for you. Whilst we recognise that some issues could be improved and we are thankful to you for your precious feedback, in our modest opinion the major stress factor arose from the guests booking their accommodation in very impractical hotels, we wish they also followed your and our advise to book either at the castle or in the town and for evenual excess capacity in the two partner hotels we work with to make life easy for everyone, especially for you. Thank you for your trust in us and down the line you and your guest had an great experience.
With sincere gratitude,
Castello Brancaccio Team

Unethical Business Practices
I booked Castello Brancaccio as my wedding venue and initially had high hopes given its stunning appearance and history. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen and heartbreaking circumstances, I had to cancel the wedding. The venue had agreed in writing to return half of my deposit, which I was incredibly grateful for at the time. However, that gratitude quickly turned into frustration and disappointment.
Despite repeated assurances from Roberts Freze, Maria Grazia Colagrossi, and Riccardo Putignano—the primary people I communicated with during the booking process—I never received the refund. They requested my bank wire information, and after providing it, they completely stopped responding to my emails. I’ve followed up multiple times, giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it’s now clear that I am being ignored.
This is not only unprofessional but unethical. It’s extremely disheartening to be treated this way, especially during a difficult time. I would strongly caution any couples considering this venue to be very careful and get everything in writing—and even then, you may not be protected.
Beautiful venue aside, how a business treats people when things go wrong is what truly matters, and Castello Brancaccio failed in that regard.Castello Brancaccio's reply:
Dear Breanna,
thank you for your review! I would like to reply by pointing out that our donpayment policy states clearly in writing and during our calls that it is non refundable, as per industry practice world wide. Although in exceptional circumstances we may decide to return some of the money. In this case it was communicated to you that if we managed to sell the date you had booked we would refund you some of the money, unfortunately for you and for us the date was not taken by another couple, and therefore we did not return the non-refundable downpayment. We are sorry for your unfortunate circumstances and hope you all the best in your life.
Kindest regards,
Castello Brancaccio -
