    Deluxe Jamaican Vacay!

    *Loud Applause* and *10-stars* and a *Standing Ovation*!! 👏 That's what I give to Tia Robinson's Cashmere Events agency in the planning of me & my Mom's Jamaica trip (for a friend's destination wedding) August, 2022 ❤️

    From my 1st text message in April til the day we landed from the trip at BWI, Tia has been nothing less than professional, sweet, kind and overall excellent. (She & her Husband ALSO looked out for us during our stay as well). Tia went above & beyond in sharing information to make this trip smooth as silk and a GRAND experience!! She answered her phone no matter what time day or night. No question was treated like "a silly question" -- her & my Mom have officially adopted each other 😄😄😄

    The only down side is that now she has me wanting BUTLER services here at home...LOL!!

    Amazing experience — Cashmere is the right choice

    Our 20th wedding anniversary was beyond my expectations. Tia and her team made our vision come to life and more! The planning, creativity and attention to detail was exactly what I needed as a busy professional. We had an outdoor event and ran into some logistical issues and the team solved them on the spot! Everything turned out beautiful!

    Awesome experience

    I was never the girl who had her wedding planned at 13 years old. I didn't have a vision or a plan. On top of that I'm very indecisive and a huge procrastinator! So to say I needed a wedding planner is an understatement!! But I needed it to be someone I trusted...enter Tia and her crew at Cashmere Events!!! Having a planner was not just a luxury it was a necessity!! She had a beautiful vision for me and executed it flawlessly!!! She had connections with amazing vendors I never would have found on my own. Our day was magical and unforgettable and I have Tia and Cashmere Events to thank for that!!! Her staff are some of the nicest people I've ever worked with and I'm so grateful to all of them!!! THANK YOU CASHMERE EVENTS!!!

    Tia and the staff at Cashmere Events far surpassed my expectations for my wedding. She was extremely flexible and more than responsive to my needs and wants. She was able to recommend several vendors with the same level of quality service that also took my wedding over the top. I would highly recommend Cashmere Events for your wedding or any other event.

    Love on Top 2016

    Cashmere Events provided nothing but excellent service. They are very professional and makes you feel like family. I did not have to worry about a thing. There was absolutely no stress. My wedding was absolutely beautiful and fit right in my budget. Tia brought out my vision out when I couldnt make up my mind. There was issues that had arised at the venue and I knew nothing about until after the wedding. Her staff pampered me the day of.

    Working with Tia at Cashmere Events is always a pleasure! She has a bubbly personality that makes working together tons of fun. She has a great eye for design and listens to her clients wants, needs and desires to create the look and feel that they want to see at their event. She is quite the professional and if any issue arises she is quick to remedy them to keep things on track. I look forward to working with her and her clients in the future!

    Tia Paul was the best wedding planner ever, she was always flexible and always created great ideas. My wedding was a very huge successl thanks to her guidance and knowledge. I would recommend her to anyone that is in the process of planning their wedding, she really makes Dreams come true.

    Great resource to have when planning an out if state wedding!!! Best decision I ever made! Tons of help and made the wedding a stress free enviorment for everyone involved :) Maid of honor was even confused that there was nothing she had to do! Haha!!

    Chaotic Mess

    I used Cashmere Events for my 3/26/2022 wedding and while the wedding LOOKED beautiful, I would not recommend this company to any friends or family seeking a wedding planner. This will be long, but read every word before choosing this company. I will not say the owners name because I do not want this to be taken down. The owner of this company is the person we primarily dealt with every step of the way.


    The owner and her team are very friendly and nice to talk to, but we had many many issues during the planning process and MAJOR issues on the day of the wedding. I chose Cashmere Events based on the 5 star reviews, but we did not receive a 5 star experience.


    The good:

    -she connected us with an amazing caterer who made the best wedding food we have ever tasted

    -her decorating skills are top tier; but good decorations cannot save a chaotic wedding due to poor coordinating.

    -she was always available to answer calls

    -she introduced us to an AMAZING photographer (Kenny clapp)


    The bad:

    -we believed that with her 25 years of experience, this company would be able to coordinate a wedding effortlessly but once we got to the rehearsal we soon learned this wasn’t the case. I’ve been a bridesmaid MANY times and this was the most chaotic rehearsal I’ve ever attended. Not once was the wedding party able to do one full run through. Prior to the event, I told The owner who would be walking down with who (bridesmaids with groomsmen), and we discussed every single person walking down the aisle when we met with the florist (The owner was present) who was not a bridesmaid or groomsmen and those people included our parents, flower girl, and sisters. All of these people came to the rehearsal and she was not prepared to direct everyone. Needless to say, every single person in our large wedding party was concerned about The owner’s ability to coordinate the wedding. This was a foreshadowing of what would come on the wedding day. At the end of the rehearsal, MULTIPLE PEOPLE volunteered to help her the day of the wedding. The owner’s response, “I only work with my team”. I really wish she would have taken us up on our offer. My mother in law was a wedding planner and she really could have helped prevent the mess that occurred on the day of the wedding.


    -The morning of the wedding: The owner had her assistant stay and help with me (the bride) and bridesmaids and this assistant did nothing. In fact, all of us wondered why she was there. The owner claimed she would have an emergency kit with safety pins and such but did not have this when in fact two bridesmaids needed safety pins! My matron of honor did more than she did the entire day. Sidenote: this emergency kit is supposed to be covered under the cost of her service.


    -The catastrophic wedding day: wow. Where do I begin? The owner and her team ruined the reception completely! Well let’s back it up, at the ceremony, the DJ (who she recommended) played the brides entrance music when the flower girl came out. The owner said “well he’s behind the curtain he can’t see” well as a wedding planner with 25 years of experience, you should have been able to ensure he knew when the bride enters.

    After the ceremony, The owner, her team, and DJ took 2.5 hours or longer to set the reception room up! Cocktail hour was was 2.5+ hours!!! Our guests were upset, hungry and wondering wtf was going on. Once they were ready to introduce the wedding party at the reception, the DJ didn’t know how to do the introductions nor did he know everyone’s name. I sent BOTH HIM AND THE OWNER A DOCUMENT WITH DETAILED INFORMATION ON THIS PRIOR TO THE WEDDING. The DJ only brought a piece of paper he scribbled on instead of the document that both him and The owner had received. Overall, the mistake can be blamed on the DJ, but as a master wedding planner who received the final version of the music sheet on 3/22 at 3:23pm via email, she should have had this document in her possession and ready on the day of the wedding. My matron of honor went off on The owner and told her it was unacceptable. Every single person in the wedding party wanted to clap because she was RIGHT.


    Because of this LONG DELAY, we had an EXTREMELY short reception! The DJ also did not play the songs we requested on that document. It looked nice but who cares how nice an event looks if we don’t have enough time to enjoy it.


    My sister also was supposed to read a poem she wrote. They left her out or the reception.


    The owner’s older son attended the wedding I guess to help her out. He hit on my matron of honor, mother in law (and got fussed out by her boyfriend) and multiple guests. Not only that, but he decided to catch the garter. That is COMPLETELY unacceptable. My husband wanted his FRIENDS or FAMILY to catch it. If you are not an invited guest, do not participate in the parts or the wedding that will end up in the photo album. We paid $200 to the DJ for fog during our first dance, her younger son circled us with the fog machine the entire time instead of having the fog machine set to the side. It looked ridiculous.


    Not once did The owner take responsibility for what occurred at the rehearsal or the day of the wedding. She in fact tried to blame one of our dads because they couldn’t find him for a few minutes when that was absolutely not the reason why it took them so long to set up the reception and introduce us.


    We spent A LOT OF MONEY to not have the full 4 hour reception time.

    There were so many other issues that we had, but this review is only including the major issues. My husband and I are understanding people but only when someone is OPEN and forthcoming about their mistakes. The owner never took responsibility for ANYTHING.


    Overall, it seemed that Cashmere Events didn’t care about our budget (which started off small, but we ended up spending over double that)but she only cared about how the photos looked. She didn’t care about making sure the wedding day went smooth, but only that she got pictures and reaction videos for her social media.

    There was ZERO organization on the day of the wedding. I would think a master wedding planner would have a checklist of things that need to be done on or prior to the wedding. I brought the cake topper to the hotel on the day of the wedding. The entire day I’m running around getting hair and makeup done and The owner asks me about the cake topper when I’m in the limo after we left the hotel and arrived at the venue. Why didn’t her assistant have a list of things NEEDED for the wedding? I gave them a bag of photobooth props and they never put them out.


    To sum it up, the wedding was aesthetically pleasing but extremely unorganized. I enjoyed the short amount of reception time I had, but I feel robbed of being able to spend time with friends and family that came to celebrate us due to the chaotic mess. In addition, even the baker who brought the cake said he stayed late due to everything running behind. The 360 photobooth guy even said the reception timing was a mess.


    I also want to add that there were occasions where The owner was not timely in her response to us regarding questions about certain things, such as scheduling our engagement shoot. She would often gloss over that when we questioned her about getting an exact date from the photographer. She finally explained why there was a delay after MANY reschedules and many ignored attempts to narrow down a date, but it took MONTHS to finally understand why we kept getting rescheduled; she was late when we requested receiving quotes for champagne glasses and her response was something to the effect of due to our “limited budget” it’s taking her a while to give us quotes. It takes MINUTES to get quotes. As a master planner, shouldn’t you have access to quotes for champagne glasses? At that point, we had spent OVER $27k. We tried to stay in our budget early on while looking for florists and photographers, but soon that budget went out the window and it was clear. Our budget wasn’t limited. Her making that statement was another attempt to remove the blame from herself. We are normal people who just wanted the most for our money as I’m sure many of you do. Her comment doesn’t take accountability for actions but like the wedding, she tried to shift the blame.


    As a business owner, The owner should have taken responsibility for what happened, ACKNOWLEDGED It, and attempted to make it right. We paid $3850 for her service. $3850 (cost of her service not wedding), and this is what we got. A beautiful chaotic mess. I seriously question the validity of many of the 5 star reviews left for this company. If you made it this far, and only take one thing away from this message, I hope it is to choose another wedding planner. Choose a planner who tries to stay in your budget and not make you feel like your budget is impossible. Choose a planner who has REPUTABLE vendors. Choose a planner who doesn’t ask you to pay the planner for the vendors, only pay the vendors directly (the owner would have us pay her for her vendors and that screwed us over because the baker made the wrong flavor cake and because he said we paid cash -we didn’t. We paid the owner. There was no invoice of proof of our original request. Shady on both parts). Choose a wedding planner who’s focus is not only on getting good pictures, but running a smooth wedding.

    Choose a planner who owns up to their mistakes . Had we received a genuine apology or explanation instead of nonstop excuses, this review may have been slightly better. My husband and I are understanding people. “I’m sorry about the delay in getting the room set up for the reception, there are issues with XYZ” That would have gone a LONG way with us. “Sorry I forgot to get the quotes to you on those champagne glasses, it slipped my mind” “sorry about not informing the DJ when to play your entrance music, that was my mistake I should have coordinated with him so he knew when you were walking down” “sorry we didn’t put out the photobooth props you supplied us with” “sorry we aren’t staying on schedule like I PROMISED we would during our initial meeting when I said I’m a stickler for time and staying on schedule”……. Humility and accountability go along way and cashmere events has neither of those traits.
