Cascade Garden is the most beautiful spot in Yakima Valley to get married - except perhaps for wine vineyards, but those are usually way out in the country. Cascade is convenient to downtown, well-watered, a beautiful oasis of aesthetic backgrounds for wedding ceremony, reception, dinner and photos. I could not have asked for a more beautiful spot, more professional, friendly owners or more convenient location. This spot is often booked more than a year in advance, but we saved time and money by booking a Thursday afternoon. It worked out perfectly, especially because many of our guests were from out of town (so it didn't matter when they flew, and they enjoyed having the weekend after the wedding to relax and enjoy washington). The owners of Cascade are amazing. The lodge is made out of huge cedar (?) beams, looks like an Elfin land of LOTR everywhere. We took our bridal party pictures by a fountain, which accomodated all 15 of us beautifully. Our ceremony area fit 200 easily.

Eileen with Cascade Garden was wonderful! The venue was beautiful, very well taken care of, and was completely ready for our wedding day. Eileen was always readily available when I needed her and was very helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better place for our big day.

Eileen from Cascade Garden is so wonderfully amazing. She was so helpful throughout the whole planning process and is there for you the day of. I was so happy to have her there coordinating our ceremony and making sure everyone got where they needed to go when. Also the venue is drop dead gorgeous. No decor needed!

Eileen was very helpful and easy to work with, and she helped create a custom service package for the day of. She helped me with vendor selections and details that are easy to overlook. They have a wonderdful garden suite that the bridal party gets to use all day from 9 to midnight. It was the perfect lounge area for everyone to get ready, touch up, and "hide out" before the big entrance. Such a lovely setting!

Eileen at Cascade Gardens was amazing. She did everything to make our day as special as possible. Her team was super flexible and because we had a little rain on our day she had made preperations for us to have a back up plan. This venue was so beautiful from the waterfall to the placements of all the flowers and trees. All my guests had something nice to say about Cascade Gardens. I couldnt have picked a better place for our wedding. I would recommend this venue to any bride and groom. My now husband and I had an amazing time and are so thankful that we found not only a great venue but wonderful people that ran it. We were even lucky to have Eileen be our officant. She did an amazing job!

I can’t say enough good things about this venue. The beauty of the garden setting is just breathtaking and with it sprawling out several acres it is just so unique. I had never been anywhere like it before. Eileen is incredible and will help take care of everything you need and then on top of that whatever you don’t think of!! They have an amazing package program that works so well with a wide range of budgets. You are allowed bring your own food and beverage and they provide different levels of service based on the package you choose for the day of the wedding. We chose the whole thing and had everything from day of coordinator, parking attendants, they set up the buffet and all of our food, tables and chairs and linens were all taken care of... basically we just dropped off our food and beverage and then did decorations. It cost a little more but to us, not having to focus on those medial tasks was worth the money. Also Wes as the DJ was awesome. I highly recommend. He kept the flow going and threw in a few fun and interactive ice breakers that made the whole flow of the reception just fun. We had so many people tell us that our wedding was the most beautiful and fun wedding they had been to in a long time and that was exactly what we were trying to do, was make our wedding fun. We can’t thank Eileen and Wes enough for making our wedding day the most perfect day of our lives

Beautiful venue! Convenient that the chairs and tables are available for rent directly from them. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was! It is unfortunate that the music has to stop at 10pm outside but that has nothing to do with the venue.

Cascade Garden - BEAUTIFUL! Our wedding was held May 2010. Eileen (who had in the last year purchased the garden) was professional, easy to work with and is a fabulous groundskeeper (with the help of family and her staff). Advice to spring/summer brides - book early. The gardens are very busy in the summer and it may be difficult to get your date.

It's a little more costly than some venues in the area. However, one for the price we we got the whole garden for the day rather than having to compete with customers (if you used a winery setting). Two, we were able to chose our caterer, rather than some venues that have exclusive caterering. Three, the garden has a play area along side the lodge for our extended family and our friends children. Our guests appreciated an area for the kids to run and play. And four, Eileen has tables and chairs to rent on site (less expensive than some of the rental places in Yakima).

Had a candy table and owner came and helped herself to a gallon size ziplock bag. The rentals were more expensive than anywhere else in town.....but was nice having it just right there. We were smack in the middle of an ownership change, so with some more experience things I am sure would be a lot better.

    Do not book this venue!

I was hoping I’d be able to give a 0-star review, but unfortunately that isn’t an option. So, the one star I would say goes towards the beautiful grounds. That, however, is where the beauty stops. As a Bride and/or Groom, you will see this venue and be told promise after promise by Eileen, the owner. It will all seem easy and simple. Unfortunately, it is anything but!

In the midst of trying to navigate wedding planning during a pandemic, I never thought my biggest stress would come from the venue’s owner. Every text, call, email and even Instragram message went unanswered for MONTHS. Checks would be dropped off and not cashed for MONTHS, some even lost completely. Even when you could finally get a hold of someone, the information you got back (if you were lucky enough to get any) wouldn’t even be close to what you asked for in the first place. We had to stop by in-person to finally get someone to speak to us. This was completely unacceptable behavior from a business owner and alleged “wedding coordinator.”

Eileen will smile at you and tell you everything is just great and then when you are no longer in front of her, drop all pretenses and never deliver on any promise ever made. Even her florist took SEVEN MONTHS to get back to me on floral prices after being reminded 3 times and still didn’t have the order correct.

Then when it was discovered we wouldn’t even be able to have our reception when planned because of COVID-19, she suggested we lie and say it’s a religious ceremony so that it would be approved by the government. Because she deemed lying an option, she would either charge us over $1,000 to cancel, charge us over $1,000 to reschedule for next year or not charge us to change the date within the year. When we were obviously forced to go with the last answer, she then didn’t change the base price (even quoted us the wrong price for our new date and thank goodness we kept our original paperwork) and therefore wouldn’t consider any kind of negotiation given we LEGALLY could not hold our reception.

No aspect of this venue is worth signing that contract for. Yakima is a beautiful place, and I beg of you to please consider a different venue. Even your own backyard would be better than having to navigate, second guess and double check everything that is done at Cascade Gardens.

If you have already signed and you are unfortunately in the same situation that I was, make sure you keep a very detailed list of the payments received and the dates received on because they will definitely get that wrong too – whether on purpose or just extremely unorganized, I don’t know. Either way, you are much better off having your wedding elsewhere.
