  Carrie is one of the first vendors I hired while planning my wedding - and was by far one of my best decisions in the whole process! I was referred to her through our best man and his girlfriend, who knew Carrie personally - and told me that she had done a wedding at my venue - big bonus that she already knew the space! Plus I loved her website and all the work she has done, I could tell she was talented. I started talking to Carrie via email and our first meeting was for our engagement shoot, which she gamely agreed that going to UC Davis (where we met) was a great idea - and she got there early to scout locations! She was so relaxed and fun and easy to get to know - she is really easy to relax in front of, even when she's clicking away behind a camera.
  
  On the day of the wedding, she showed up early with her assistant and got busy checking out spaces that would be good for our photos and taking all the detail shots I wanted. My whole bridal party told me how much they liked her and her fun energy - and the fact that she paused every once in a while to remind us to relax and "shake it out" - I think that's why all my photos look amazing and no one looks stiff or uncomfortable. And she really blends into the crowd, gets really great shots, really pays attention to what's going on and is willing to roll on the ground if she needs to! I LOVE my photos - I look at them all the time and it makes me so happy to have such wonderful memories captured in such an amazing way. Carrie is talented, professional, calm, super fun, and such a great choice for your photographer!

  Carrie came to Playa del Carmen for my wedding and I couldnt have been happier with her services! Bringing someone from the US who I knew I could trust was definitely the way to go and would recommend it to anyone having a destination wedding. My pictures are all amazing!

  I found Carrie through Facebook - my sister's friend posted her wedding pics and I knew instantly that I didn't want anyone else but Carrie to be my photographer. I reached out immediately and she was very responsive, thorough and flexible with my needs.
  
  She made taking our photos so much fun and put everyone at ease while remaining completely professional. Our photos turned out so well that we can't pick favorites, they're all fabulous. She took both posed and candid pictures that really captured all the moments, emotions and details that I had conveyed to her that we wanted to capture.
  
  I have been impressed with Carrie from the beginning to the end of our wedding photo process and recommend that you don't even consider anyone else.

  I interviewed 12 photographers and Carrie was the best!!!
  
  I untimately hired Carrie to do my bridal shower, rehearsal dinner & wedding photography. I was blown away by how much I loved the photos, and how comfortable I was when she was taking them. She was amazing. Many of my guests even made comments about how hard Carrie was working at the shoots-- at times she was laying in the dirt, or climbing trees to get creative photos.
  
  Carrie is also extremely professional. She was ontime. She delivered the photos on time. She made preparing our photo list a snap by touring the venue ahead of time with us. The best was that she adjusted her normal shooting routine to accomodate exactly what we wanted! I felt like I could ask for ANYTHING from Carrie!
  
  Oh yeah, I also ordered our Christmas cards, thank you cards & a beautiful Album from Carrie. Her merchandise is the highest quality I have seen, and reasonably priced.
  
  If you hire Carrie Richards Photography, you will be able to just check off "photographer" on you wedding (or any event for that matter) to-do list without any worries. I HIGHLY recommend her company.

  Carrie was the best photographer! My husband is really uncomfortable in front of the camera and Carrie totally made him laugh and we had a great time at the wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend Carrie Richards Photography for your wedding or any other occasion, she is AWESOME!

  Carrie Richards was a great choice as my wedding photographer. My sister had been to a couple of weddings that Carrie photographed and raved about the photos so when it came time for me to choose a photographer, I decided to meet with her. After reviewing her work, I was a little concerned that her focus was more on outdoor weddings since so much of her portfolio consisted of beautiful, natural settings, but after speaking with her, I felt like she would be able to capture what I wanted. I let her know that I was having a more traditional hotel wedding in San Francisco and my taste is very classic and reserved. She absolutely listened to what I told her. She took good notes and made sure I got the shots I wanted.
  
  Another thing I loved about Carrie was her responsiveness. She was great by email (my preferred method of communication, especially when planning a wedding). She responded quickly and was very thorough. I was also impressed by her organization - she had her materials neatly and professionally packaged and she was flexible to make sure I got everything I wanted. I never felt like I had to track her down - she kept in communication and always made herself available to answer questions.
  
  On the day of our wedding, she arrived early to scope out the best places to take pictures. She looked at lighting and whether the sprinklers had gone and places big enough for the entire bridal party, etc. She (and her assistant) was the type of photographer who was everywhere at the wedding but guests didn't really notice her. This is exactly what you want in a photographer.
  
  Her prints are pretty pricey but I think that is the case with all good photographers. I will say that she is great at retouching since a couple of the photos she took had a random waiter in the background or a door that I wanted removed - I let her know and she made them disappear! It's really important to have a photographer who not only takes great pictures but also knows how to manipulate them afterwards.
  
  I am aware that I was a somewhat high maintenance bride (very type A personality and really wanted to be in control of every aspect of my wedding) but Carrie never seemed to mind. She listened to what I wanted, lent her professional opinion when warranted, and never made me feel like the crazy bride I was. I really appreciated that about her! She is cool, calm, and professional and I would recommend her to others.
