Absolutely amazing service

We had such a great experience with her. Called in last minute when there were issues at the court house and she was there like 40 minutes later to save the day. Very very nice and lively, would absolutely recommend her.

Carolyn was absolutely wonderful

Carolyn officiated our wedding ceremony. At the rehearsal, she was organized, knew exactly where to guide everyone and got us all prepared for the next day. At the ceremony, she was full of energy and certainly made our moment at the podium even more special. Would recommend her without a doubt.

Perfect little ceremony

Wonderful!!

I had a hard time finding the right officiant but when I found Carolyn, I was so relieved! We did the deluxe elopement package and it was perfect! The quality of the flowers and photographs are outstanding! Carolyn is so nice and she made us feel comfortable. She even made me laugh too! Carolyn is professional and prompt. I can't say enough good things about this experience! I highly recommend her!!!

We hired Carolyn as our wedding officiant and were extremely pleased with her services. We discussed everything over the phone with her prior to booking. Her policies were very clear, and she provided us with all of the information we needed well in advance of our ceremony. She allows couples to add customized readings, ceremonies, etc. to their events, but we wanted a short and sweet ceremony, and that’s exactly what we got! We had a phone rehearsal the day prior to the event, where she explained exactly what she would do from the time she arrived to the time she left the venue. We also went over pronunciation and preferences for how we’d be introduced, details about the wedding party, etc.. She was very professional, but also fun, and her pricing is very reasonable. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant!

Carolyn is very professional and a seasoned officiant. She made sure to prepare us for the ceremony and allowed us to customize the ceremony to best represent us as individuals. She was punctual and also very personable from the moment we met. Carolyn made our intimate ceremony very special. She was very enthusiastic and made us feel so comfortable in front of our friends and family on one of the most important days of our life. She also took a great photo of us and was gracious enough to share it with us. We highly recommend Carolyn Burke as a wedding officiant.

Love, love, loveddddd Carolyn. I was a nervous wreak walking down the isle and hearing her voice just set me at ease. We’d spoke on the phone a few times and communicated over emails. She was great, handled last minute changes, and made our ceremony uniquely ours. 10/10 would recommend

Carolyn officiated our wedding at City Hall. We are so grateful she worked with us. She made us feel comfortable leading up to the wedding. Carolyn was the perfect officiant for us. We aren’t particularly religious so we didn’t really want that, we wanted something short, sweet, and to the point. That is exactly what she gave us for an amazing price. We also got to pick essentially all of the elements of the ceremony so it wasn’t the same nickel speech as every othe wedding. She also made sure we would all be in the same page with a phone rehearsal which eased both of our minds. Carolyn was a perfect fit for our ceremony.

Carolyn officiated our wedding and we're really happy we chose her. She was very professional, accommodating, and warm. Carolyn was our officiant for our elopement 2/13/17. She was extremely easy to work with from the initial phone call up to the ceremony. We chose the deluxe elopement that included flowers & a photographer. We were very pleased with what we recieved for the price as well. I hired Carolyn Burke as the officiant for our wedding. The reviews were great and the cost was very reasonable. My husband and I chose to get married in Kirkwood at the historic Kirkwood Train Station. Since we chose to get married in December, the station was beautifully decorated for the holidays both inside and outside. We chose to elope with only 2 witnesses. The ceremony was short, but meaningful. We also had been given the option of writing our own vows. After the ceremony Carolyn took pictures for us and suggested photo locations. Don't hesitate to hire Carolyn Burke as your wedding o#iciant. She is very down to earth, easy to contact, and professional. She puts you at ease and it is evident that she has been performing weddings for a long time. Carolyn is a wonderful lady who will make your wedding ceremony a beautiful experience.

Carolyn was just what we were looking for -- short, sweet, and simple! Her rates are inexpensive, she was responsive when we first reached out to her and when we had questions, she showed up on time, the ceremony went exactly as we had planned, and she was able to answer our questions afterwards about getting our marriage license. Her services do not come with "bells and whistles," i.e. she will not come to your rehearsal, she won't do any additional readings, and she won't help you pick out readings. She does give you a consultation whenever you want to go over exactly how you want the ceremony to be, and she even gave us some tips for how to run the rehearsal and how to do the procession.

Carolyn is incredibly personable and made sure I had nothing to worry about the day of my wedding. She came to my home to go over final details with my now husband and I and made sure we were comfortable with everything. She contacted all of my vendors for the ceremony to make sure everything was set to go and really made it very stress free. The day of the wedding she made sure everyone who was supposed to have flowers (like grandparents and parents) received their flowers and helped pin them on the guys. Our ceremony was flawless and I know it had a lot to do with Carolyn guiding us along.

My husband and I were very indecisive about what we should say at our wedding. I emailed Carolyn and let her know we were unsure and she took care of it. We had our wedding at Walker Park(Carolyn's suggestion) and it was a beautiful little place. And the words she had picked out for us were fantastic and went perfectly with us. My close friend will be getting married next year and I recommended Carolyn. If you live near Saint Louis, you should definately check her out.

Carolyn was very nice to work with. She was very responsive to any communication I had with her. She was flexible to accomodate all of the additional requests we had such as the lighting of a Unity Candle and additonal readings during the ceremony. She was very professional in all her activities and showed a genuine concern in making our ceremony an experience to remember forever. I have no basis for comparison, however, I feel her charge for performing the ceremony was well in line with what I expected to pay. The ceremony was short and beautiful, which is what Carolyn advertised and what we wanted. I would highly recommend her as a Wedding Officiant.

Originally we contacted another wedding officiant to perform our wedding on the same date. Let me just say that I am very happy we did not give him any sort of deposit! I emailed this officiant and he emailed me back informing me that he would conduct our wedding. Then I did not hear from him for weeks. I contacted him again and he said to me on the phone that I never emailed him. I forwarded him the email trail and then everything became much worse! So, I looked up wedding officiants in St. Louis online and found Carolyn Burke. I filled out the request on her website. I got a call the next day! We set up the date and she gave me some instructions by email. I followed her instructions and she kept in contact with me every step of the way. This made me one happy gal after all I had gone through with the first Officiant. Carolyn is very organized! If anyone would like to get married take my advise!!!!! Hiire Carolyn Burke! We got married at a restaurant at lunch rush and she took us by surprise...She made everyone know that we were getting married! Now, this was a small wedding , a table of 8 people including us. The room became quite as she read our vows. Once the ceremony was over she took a picture of our wedding party and gave us a big hug. Of course, she made sure all the paperwork was completed and we were married! Once the lunch rush was over...many people told us we made their day...something you don't get to witness every day. If it was not for Carolyn Burke we would not have had our special day as we planned! This lady knows her stuff and does it in a very professional mannor! I don't plan on marrying again...but to renew our vows...well, you know who I will call! Thank you Carolyn for everything!

Mrs. Burke, was/is a true professional ,from her promptness, flexibility(due to our renewal being an outside event,it began raining and Carolyn suggested an quick "venue change" that worked perfectly) and personality. My husband and I decided to renew our vows on the day we met. Ms. Burke was very friendly and flexible (especially since it rained and was scheduled to be outside). She moved the ceremony to a sheltered location still located outside. She was very warm and professional. Thanks for making our moment magical!

Carolyn did a great job creating a sense of joy and enthusiasm at our wedding. She was both helpful in directing our early choices and flexible in the event details. We wrote a narrative for a glass ceremony that she delivered perfectly. It was a bit difficult scheduling our rehearsal - our only critique. We would recommend her without reservation.

Carolyn was absolutely professional! She was very easy to work with and any questions that were asked were answered! She made it easy for us on our wedding day by completing all the paperwork for us, which was a blessing due to all the stress. Carolyn Burke is good at what she does. I must admit, I still wish she would have done a rehearsal bc i feel like our entrance was a bit rushed. BUT I knew beforehand she didnt do rehearsals. We met a couple days before the wedding at her house to go through the ceremony and that made me alot more comfortable since we couldnt do a rehearsal.
She doesnt tell you this beforehand but she is very animated the day of! Its not a bad thing at all just really took me by surprise! lol She's a genuinely nice person and i enjoyed working with her! I would recommend if you arent set on having a rehearsal.

Carolyn was a life-saver after our original officiant backed out. I also liked her style of allowing the couple to choose between several options of wording for the ceremony. She made the ceremony process go smooth and easy. AND she was so open and helpful with our want to have our dog as the ring bearer!!

Very responsive and professional but a bit "harsh" for my liking. I would recommend though. I think this is more of a personal feeling rather than a business one. All in all she did very well. Very flexible!

The time leading up to the ceremony was perfect and Carolyn did perfect answer phone calls and emails. The two biggest peeves of mine from the day are as followed. She was DECKED out in St. Pattys day gear and state right from the get-go that we pulled her away from the parade (made it seem like an inconvenience). Second, she called me Karen instead of Karla at the end of the ceremony when she pronounced us husband and wife. Kind of frustrating.

Belly out!

She arrived with a top that had her belly hanging out because she was going to a concert after!!! Not only that, I had enough going on just to have her inform me she’s leaving the wedding because there was nothing to be done here if she didn’t have our marriage license!!! I spent another hour I didn’t have calling and trying to find ppl just for neither her nor my coordinator to tell me they had it!!!! DO NOT HIRE. Not someone you want to handle your marriage.

We wouldn’t recommend Carolyn Burke as an officiant. We hired her based off the great reviews, but we were very disappointed in the level of professionalism and courtesy she displayed. We feel like she lacks general respect for her customers. She couldn’t keep straight what she told us from her other couples, which caused a lot of unnecessary stress on us the last month prior to the wedding. She was late to our rehearsal. She informed us multiple times how valuable her time was and I wish she would’ve treated us with the same respect and understand the customers’ time is valuable too. Her performance at the ceremony was very disappointing. She didn’t take the time to get to know us which includes how to pronounce my name, so my name was mispronounced during the ceremony. This was extremely hurtful and embarrassing. She never provided an apology for her many mistakes until we called to speak with her about our disappointment. To me this is a poor business practice if your customers have to call to ask for an apology instead of providing one upfront. She didn’t believe she was in the wrong for anything and chose to she blame everything on us, our rehearsal location and the size of our wedding party. I understand you would defend yourself if you don’t believe you were wrong, but this is her profession and she’s been doing it a long time, so if the rehearsal wasn’t to her liking she should’ve taken the time to talk to us about what needs to be done before sitting down and enjoying a meal provided by us. She did provide us with a refund for the cost of the ceremony when we called, but I was in tears during this time. Prior to providing us a refund, she informed us we could take her to small claims court. I knew at that moment that she simply didn’t care about us at all. We felt hurt and were very disappointed that someone in her profession would treat her customers this way. She treated us like we worked for her instead of us hiring her to be a part of our special day.

Ceremony was much shorter and less special than we expected. Very "canned." Carolyn seemed to want to just show up, collect her fee, and move on. Don't expect her to be warm and personal.
