Working with Jen was a breeze! From scheduling our tasting a year before our wedding, to finalizing our details, & to her setting everything up at our venue- it was all perfect! Our wedding cake and cupcakes were beautiful and delicious, my husband and I could not stop eating our cake after we cut it. I highly recommend having Jen be your cake vendor :)

These cupcakes are the best! We worked with Jen and she was so accommodating. The tastings were easy and delicious. She was able to do some gluten free for our guests but most of all she was able to accommodate us with many different options. From the graham cracker cupcakes to our favorite choice of lemon blueberry with lemon kiss icing. She has many choices and plenty of other desserts to choose from too. She also does beautiful wedding cakes. Included in the price is a one year anniversary cake of your choosing. We highly recommend Carolina Sugar Fairy for your event. We will use her again and again.

Jen was super helpful in helping me decide on a large cake or small bite and cupcakes. We went with a 2 tier, 120 of her cookie bars, and 14 dozen mini cupcakes. We didn’t cut the top of the cake and we had maybe 30 cupcakes left. Everything was delicious and beautiful!

We met with Jen the first time, and she had a box of different flavor cupcakes for us to try……. It ended up being a box of crumbs by the time we left!
Jen is amazing and will work with you no matter what you need. We had 4 different flavor cupcakes with 4 different flavor icing’s, plus our wedding cake! And she knocked them all out of the park!
Flavor and consistency of the cakes and icing was second to none! And we gave Jen our idea for our wedding cake design, and she did a fantastic job, it was gorgeous!

Absolutely lovely experience!
Being out of towners, we appreciated and loved our communication with Jen. She was so accommodating and sweet. She understood our vision for our cake (strawberry shortcake) and the extra desserts (tiramisu shooters and mini cheesecakes). The tasting was wonderful and helped us finalize our choices. The day of was seamless. The cake and desserts were absolutely delicious. There were no leftovers sadly. I would highly recommend!

I highly recommend Carolina Sugar Fairy as my wedding cakes and cupcakes were beautiful and tasted amazing!! When I saw Jen (the owners) work on Instagram, I knew I had to book her right away! Not only are her desserts works of art, but Jen is extremely professional and so much fun to work with. Our wedding cake (red velvet) and cupcakes (key lime, lemon blueberry, tipsy fairy, vanilla and red velvet) were delicious and we loved having the different flavors for both!! (Tipsy fairy is mocha and bourbon!). I highly recommend Carolina Sugar Fairy for amazing wedding desserts - thank you Jen for making the best wedding desserts!!

Jen is amazing. She offers a tasting and the cakes and bite size options were great. We went with lemon blueberry and vanilla with chocolate chip filling. Mini cheesecakes and Boston cream bites. Amazing I was able to eat some of each after all food I had. Highly recommend her for your wedding or just simply needing a cake or desserts. I’m from out of town so I’m lucky to have found her on here. Even though I had a beach wedding I chose something simple and it was perfect.

Our dream wedding
We were lucky to be able to book Carolina Sugar fairy, they were exceptional. Jen was very easy to work with. She made it very easy with the tasting, her cakes and frostings were all fresh and very tasty. She was very artistic with our cake and helped us with the vision of how our cake would look like. Non-stop with the compliments!
EVERYONE kept going on about how great the cupcakes and cake were! The design and detail went perfect with our beach theme. Super friendly, great service and always answered any questions/concerns in a timely manner. Only disappointment was that we didn’t order enough cake! We never got to enjoy a slice of our own cake! (Forgot to save the top.) Definitely recommended and will be placing an order for our one year anniversary in June!

We were beyond pleased with Jen’s cakes and cupcakes. We had a white cake with peanut butter frosting. We also went with cupcakes (red velvet, strawberries and cream, and chocolate with salted caramel frosting). All were delicious… moist and flavorful without being overly sweet. Jen was so sweet throughout the process! I love that she lets you try the different combinations of icing and cake. She set everything up perfectly and the cake was divineeee. My new favorite cake is Tipsy Fairy with peanut butter icing- to die for (pumpkin spice with cream cheese icing is a close second). So amazing, definitely recommend!
Planning an out of state wedding can be hard. Planning an out of state wedding during COVID can be even harder! Luckily I had great vendors who were flexible and easy to work with and Jenn was one of them! After having to postpone our wedding, we decided to elope and plan it within a month and Jenn made it stress-free for our cake! We got the vanilla cake with vanilla icing and raspberry curd and it was so delicious! Hands down, best cake we have ever had! And it was simple yet elegant and beautiful just like we had wanted.

Carolina Sugar Fairy was AMAZING at helping us design our perfect cake display! We didn't want a traditional cake and opted for cupcakes, mini cupcakes and cake pops and they were an absolute hit!! They were so accommodating at letting us choose multiple flavors and designing our display! They also helped us through our tasting during COVID and allowed us to try as many flavors as possible to choose the best combination. At the end of the night, there were no desserts left. Would highly recommend!

Top notch quality and service
When deciding who to hire, during covid mind you, she met us with a prepared box of different flavors of cake. It came with a sheet of paper explaining the flavors as well. They were all delicious and we had a hard time deciding which flavors. We settled on a cupcake display with a small round cake on top. Our cupcake flavors were lemon raspberry, carrot cake, and chocolate with peanut butter creme icing. Our wedding was Buckeye themed as I am an alumnus of Ohio State so the cake was made with chocolate and peanut butter creme as well and she decorated it with candy buckeyes and red icing that looked like it was dripping off the top of the cake. It was absolutely perfect!!! It looked just like we imagined and everything tasted better than we imagined. The cupcakes were moist and full of flavor and the icing was light, fluffy and delicious. Absolutely recommend Carolina Sugar Fairy! Thank you so much!

Just As Delicious As It Was Pretty
Jen from Carolina Sugar Fairy is nothing but phenomenal. Not only are her many options of cake flavors and fillings delicious but she is willing to create whatever you wish. For our big day we selected cupcakes which were the perfect option for all our guests and super affordable. We wanted different flavors so everyone could pick their favorite but the pumpkin spice was the biggest hit and was perfect for the time of year. We also had a small one tier cake for cutting which was just as delicious. We even added a grooms cake for a surprise and it could not have turned out any better! 10/10 recommend to anyone getting married on the Eastern Shore!!!

My 2017 wedding was a hit due to this cake. We live out of state but married in Rehoboth beach. So we were communicating by email and phone, sent pictures and talked through our ideas. Every thing was beautiful for our beach theme colors and display! My husband and I still talk about how great it tasted. We both love vanilla and we were blown away by the texture and taste combination of both the cake and frosting. We would love to get a mini cake from that day to enjoy once again, it was that amazing. I believe this bakery’s Work is a mix of true talented art and baking meshed in one.

Carolina Sugar Fairy, aka Jen, was great to work with and her cakes are amazing! Our wedding was in October 2019, on the beach, and we asked for mini cupcakes and a small cake topper for us to cut! A Beautiful and Delicious Cake!
From the time we met Jen, we knew we had picked the right person to make our wedding cake...and her tasting samples solidified our decision. She made us a beautiful 3 tier white cake with a butter cream frosting that looked and tasted incredible! The bottom layer was covered with soft pink roses made from the same buttercream, while textured lines circled the top 2 layers. We also had a portion of key lime cake, for variety. All beautifully accented with a few flowers from our floral director at Baywood Greens Clubhouse. Exactly what we wanted! We are happy to say that we ate the whole thing!

There was no cake left!!!!
If you are looking for a wonderful cake baker you have to hire the Sugar Fairy! We met Jen about six months out and did a cake tasting. She was absolutely delightful, friendly, and professional. Her cakes that we tasted were absolutely amazing so I knew she was the one to do my cake. She was wonderful about making sure that if I needed to change something or get in touch with her she responded asap. I have heard horror stories with cakes before and I always knew that she would deliver and boy did she. Not only was the cake exactly what I wanted, but every piece was gone at the end of the night... I only got one bite because it was gone so fast. The other thing that is awesome is that she makes you another small cake on your one year wedding anniversary so that you don't have to save the top cake. I would absolutely recommend the sugar fairy to anyone. She is a great price and gives you exactly what you want! We asked for a 3 tiered cake and ever cake was something different because they were all so good! They do the drop off and pick up and will set it up how ever you want it, you wont be disappointed I promise!

We opted for cake and cupcakes and the presentation was gorgeous. All of our guests really enjoyed the cake and loved that there were a variety of cupcake flavors to choose from. Carolina Sugar Fairy was very responsive and flexible and made making decisions about our cake very simple and fun. it is obvious that she loves her work and works hard to make your cake unique and perfect for you!

Jen is amazing! Our cake is exactly what we were looking for. Absolutely beautiful! Not only appearance but it is truly the best tasting cake I have ever had! We did a there tear cake with strawberry, red velvet and dulce de leche. We also got cake pops which were multiple different flavors! She offered a wonderful cake tasting as well. Everyone raved about how awesome the cake was!

We used Carolina Sugar Fairy for my daughters wedding. Jen is very down to earth and a pleasure to work with! She met with us for a tasting, gave us many samples of her delicious baked goods, planned exactly what my daughter wanted for her wedding dessert display. She made a gluten free top layer cake for cake cutting. The wedding guest raves about her cupcakes, S’Mores Parfaits. We could not have been more pleased with everything from the first conversation I had with Jen to the last cupcake was eaten at the reception! I highly recommend her!

Not only are the cakes amazing but Jen herself is Amazing. Jen and I worked remotely to come up with the cake I liked. There was alot of faith and trust from the reviews I read as we never tasted anything before the wedding.
As Jen and I were discussing cake flavors I mentioned the reception site at a local brewery that we choose in the areathat we choose it because our favorite beer was from there in the discussion I mentioned the burbon after taste Jen mention that she made a cakecake that was burbon and could fill it with burbon filling.......imagine the amile on our faces.
It was the talk of the reception and why didnt we do the entire cake in that ........LOL.
You will not regret hiring Jen for your wedding cake......simply WONDERFULL.

Carolina Sugar Fairy worked with me even though I was out of the area and unable to attend a tasting. We chose a small wedding cake, and 2 flavors of mini cupcakes. She delivered them on time to the venue including the display pieces, which she then collected so we didn't even have to worry about returning them. Everything was super delicious and we got a million compliments. The selection of flavors was fantastic! Jen even worked with me to make sure one type of cupcakes was completely gluten free for my friend with celiac. Super delicious, great value, awesome flavors, and completely hassle free!

All of her cakes tasted amazing at our tasting, she did exactly what I wanted, worked with a cake topper I bought on etsy, and even fed me delicious white chocolate shells BEFORE the ceremony. She's seriously fantastic. She herself was setting up the cake on the cake table, you get very personalized service. We did an almond cake with chocolate filling, and a peach cake with bellini filling (you can choose the cake flavor per layer) all covered in white buttercream, with "sand" and "shells" decorating it. It looked amazing. It even held up to us cutting it with my husband's military sword :)

She made us special cupcakes for a guest with dietary restrictions. We just had our 1st anniversary cake that she provides fresh (no freezer burnt cake to celebrate with for us). She delivered everything to the venue so that when we arrived for the ceremony it was all perfectly set up and ready to go! The top tier she airbrushed into an ombre effect going from dark blue at the bottom to light blue on top. It was gorgeous! We wished we had ordered more cupcakes so we could have had some the next day!

The Carolina Sugar Fairy, Jen, is the most talented and artistic cake-maker we found after looking at numerous options for our wedding in Rehoboth Beach. She also came highly recommended from other vendors including our reception location and coordinator. Jen was extremely hospitable in walking us through our tasting and the options for cake look and flavor. Her cake, icing, and filling options are incredible! We tasted a number of them and were blown away by how good they taste. She was extremely flexible and responsive. OMG- If you need ANY type of cake please reach out to Carolina Sugar Fairy. We used her for our wedding cake and it was amazing. We did two flavors smores and then almond with strawberry icing. Before choosing our wedding cake, we tried 3 other vendors. They all had very good "wedding cakes" but that isn't what we wanted. As soon as we tried Jen's cake at Carolina Sugar Fairy I was sold. I am not a fan of super sweet icing, and her signature icing was exactly what we were looking for. We were also able to work with her on picking great fall flavors - settling on both pumpkin spice and hot apple cider. To top it off, she used fireball cinnamon icing. The cake was a simple beach cake - with some chocolate shells. It was hands down the most delicious wedding cake I have ever had. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Jen also made a surprise Penn State logo cake for the groom, who was also celebrating his birthday the day of the wedding. I would absolutely recommend using Jen if you are looking for a delicious wedding cake.

Working with Jen was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding. From the initial meeting she was so informative, kind, and fun. We opted to not do a wedding cake, but did desserts instead and her choices were incredible. Everything is homemade and beyond delicious.
We also asked her if she could make us a topper for the desert tray and showed her our invitation. When we saw the topper we were amazed that it was actually made (And edible!). I can't say enough good things about Jen and hope that every wedding I go to in the future hires her so I can taste the entire menu!!

My husband and I were originally going to have our wedding down Rehobeth beach when we meet with Jen, later we decided to have it closer to home. I had special instructions to provide peanut and tree nut free cake and cupcakes and Jen took it very seriously. She completely understood that our concerns since we have a niece with a severe peanut allergy. Thank you, Jen for taking the special step and providing us assurance that it was made with care.

At our first consultation we realized that Jen is an artist and that she is more than capable of pulling off something other than the "traditional" wedding cake. If you want a beautiful, artistic cake that is simply delicious then Jen is the person for you! I don't know where to start. First, we had a cake tasting and everything was just so tasty. It was hard to decide what flavor we wanted! Jen worked with us though so the cake flavors ended up being everything we wanted. I wish I had a piece of it right now to eat.
Second, Jen is an artist. I showed her pictures of cakes I liked. Her sugar flowers were amazing and looked better than real flowers. She was able to incorporate the design from our invitations onto two layers of our cake and it looked awesome.
The cake was beyond delicious and looked amazing.

We highly recommend Jen at Carolina Sugar Fairy. The flavors were great and when I changed my mind two months before the wedding, she was very responsive. Her designs are amazing and our guests are still talking about how great the flavors were. Seriously, she is the BEST!

Carolina Sugar Fairy made us our small cake to cut as well as our cupcakes. We had 4 different flavor cakes and frostings and all were exceptional! Her pricing was way better than we could have imagined and she was a pleasure to work with. The cupcakes stayed delicious and fresh for days after our wedding. My husband and I had the most FABULOUS experience working with Jen. Not only is she super flexible and very budget friendly, but her cakes are out of this world. We met Jen in the summer for our October wedding and fell in love with each sampling. Then, we returned to Rehoboth to meet her two weeks before the wedding to sample her fall flavors. We had such a difficult time deciding what flavors because each flavor was so unique and delicious. After our wedding, I cannot even begin to tell you how many people called and text messaged us to find out where we got our cakes!! Jennifer also immediately understood my vision of a lace cake (the lace even matched my wedding dress) and tied in some of our wedding colors. Jennifer is the sweetest lady! I would recommend Jennifer to absolutely everyone I know. I cannot wait to use her again!!!!

My husband and I hit it off right away with Jen from Carolina Sugar Fairy! Within a few minutes of chatting and sharing our wedding cake vision, we both felt at ease, it was like we had known Jen for years instead of minutes! She was really helpful, providing a lot of info regarding cake size's and a few options- as she talked we were enjoying her AMAZING cake samples, and they truly were the best cakes we have ever tasted! Her Meringue icing is unlike anything we have tried before! Jen was very flexible, detail oriented and professional; I changed my mind a few times on our cake flavors because it was so hard to choose! One of our wedding colors was rustic gold and Jen managed to find the perfect cake stand to match our theme! She was very accommodating; last minute my Father was unable to attend and Jen had made a few cupcakes for him! She was absolutely wonderful to work with and reasonably priced for her high quality cake, we cant wait to visit her for our anniversary tier and hope to use her in the future for other cakes- thank you SO much Jen!

We planned a fiesta theme for our wedding and had a cake design in mind from one we had seen on Pinterest. If we would have been able to get anything remotely resembling that, we would have been happy, but Jen was able to replicate it beyond anything we ever expected. The design was very meticulous and required many different colors, and Jen nailed it. She also torted the layers inside with different shades of color to match the outside. And it tasted just as good as it looked! We requested coconut cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, and it was moist and delicious. We're still receiving compliments today!

If you're looking for amazing cakes and an awesome person, Carolina Sugar Fairy / Jen is it! I knew I didn't want a traditional cake for our wedding and somehow wanted to pull in the beach theme without being cheesy. We also knew people hardly eat the cake, so we didnt want to be left with a ton of slices at the end of the night. We decided to go with the cupcake tower and we weren't disappointed.
Jen also has tons of different flavors to choose from so we went with chocolate, vanilla and pineapple. Our guests loved all of them!
Jen was easy to work with, very responsive and made the process simple!

Jen, the owner of Carolina Sugar Fairy is absolutely wonderful! From the first meeting (I went with my daughter to 2 tastings and then a final meeting with Jen before the wedding) she could not have been more attentive, informative, professional and friendly. The tastings of the cake and icings (and fillings) were the best I have EVER had. It made it difficult for both brides to decide on flavors. Jen listened to what kind of theme they were interested in and offered suggestions as well as actual pictures of what they might like. The natural looking shells she made for the side of the cake and the cute flip flops for the top were so well done!!!
The cake was perfect and even better tasting than we were expecting. Do yourself a favor and contact Jen. You will not be sorry.

Jen from Carolina Sugar Fairy is a rock star cake baker and decorator. She made both the grooms cake (complete with a 3D pontoon boat with bride and groom on it) and our 3 tiered wedding cake. Both were exactly what I wanted and she made it happen! Not only were the beautiful, they tasted amazing! All of my guests raved about how wonderful the flavors were on the cakes, and how moist they were. She was so easy to work with and so accommodating. I can't wait to eat our anniversary cake- I might not wait that long and order a cake just to have! Jen is the best!

Jen is an amazingly talented artist and a pleasure to work with! One of the most stressful things about getting married can be a lack of response from vendors and potential vendors, but Jen is highly communicative and responsive. She is also very helpful during the design process and is eager to provide suggestions and describe her creative vision. All of our guests raved about both the beautiful appearance and delicious taste of the cakes. I just heard from a friend who attended a wedding after mine, and he was sure to mention my cake was way tastier than that made by a very well-known Sussex County baker! The groom's cake she made for my firefighter hubby was the hit of the evening. Most important of all, Jen's cakes and various fillings and frostings are all DELICIOUS! You will not be disappointed.

Our wedding cake was absolutely amazing! It was beautiful and exactly what we had in mind. But best of all it was the best cake we had ever had, and we have had our share :). We had the GF red velvet with buttercream icing. It was a sad day when we ate the last bite.

What a fantastic cake! It was a huge hit with everyone! Jen was so professional and had great communication right down to delivery! Not only was the cake adorable, it was delicious too! Jennifer was a joy to work with for our cake. We found her about 3 months before the wedding date and she was able to make us a beautiful cake!
She gave us a free tasting, which included several cupcakes with a variety of icings. Everything was made from scratch and tasted absolutely fantastic. She had several different options for cake sizing and construction. We were able to order a cake that fed plenty but did not break the bank. We had a different layer for each tier of the cake (3 total), and they were just as delicious as the samples. We had a general idea of what we wanted the cake to look like. Once we let her know, her creativity took hold and we ended up with the perfect cake.
We would recommend Jennifer to anyone who needs that special finishing touch on their special day!

Can't say enough about Jen! She even came through on short notice with an extra cake - when I remembered last minute that the night before our peak season wedding was also my brother's birthday! I admit I didn't get to try two of the three flavors of my own wedding cake - because it all got eaten - but the tasting I had last year was great and so was the cake I DID eat, plus the cake looked exactly as I'd requested, fit our 'theme' perfectly, and everyone said they loved it. Looking forward to our anniversary cake! Jen does sea glass, petit fors, cupcakes, gluten free...she's awesome!

Working with Jen at Carolina Sugar Fairy was absolutely wonderful. She made a beautiful cake for our small wedding. She was always prompt, responsive and very helpful. She offers an amazing variety of cake and filling flavors and will do any combination that you like. All that we tried were fantastic, but he lemon cake with lemon curd filling are to die for!
I had searched the internet for ideas and Jen worked up a design using sugar orchids and calla lilies. Her sugar flowers are indescribable, very lifelike with tremendous detail. Our cake was more beautiful than anything that I found on the internet. It was spectacular and tasted great. Who could ask for more! I heartily recommend her!

Jen at Carolina Sugar Fairy was a savior after the bakery we initially chose to do business with closed 3 months prior to our wedding unexpectedly. Jen picked up the pieces and I cannot imagine any other bakery doing a better job. Despite being unable to meet her in person or even have a taste testing, we decided to book with Jen because of her willingness to help, her professionalism, and after seeing pictures of her incredible work. We couldn't be happier with our wedding cake and the cupcakes, guests were leaving with armfuls of cupcakes!! Every flavor tasted great and we would recommend Carolina Sugar Fairy to anyone.
