Best DJ/MC Ever!

We truly had the best time working with Sean Carlson for our wedding! He was extremely personable and genuinely did whatever he could to make our wedding the best that it could be including voiceovers for our first dance and processional, playing all of our must-play songs at the perfect times during the celebration, and offering many helpful tips like timeline creation, timing suggestions, and tips about other vendors. I cannot recommend him enough! Our day went so smoothly and Sean was a huge part of making that happen. If you have an event coming up and need a DJ or MC, hire Sean!!

Highly recommend

Sean was so great to work with and made planning our big day so much easier! He was always very helpful, great at communicating and overall such a great guy. Our guests loved the music and Sean kept the dance floor full all night. His equipment was very professional and looked great in our reception space. Amazing team

Sean and Missy at Carlson Entertainment we’re so great to have for our wedding!! We had an issue with a different DJ company and Missy stepped up A MONTH before our wedding day and helped us out tremendously! I have friends that are engaged and will 100% be recommending them to everyone!

Amazing in all regards

Sean was amazing through the entire process leading up to and through our wedding day. He helped us, guided us and offered advice where we needed help. He made the entire day super seamless. Past the songs we specifically requested the songs he picked were great and kept the dance floor hopping until the end of the night. Can’t recommend him enough. He’s very professional and working with him and his company was a pleasure.

10/10 Absolutely perfect!

Sean did an absolutely amazing job for our wedding, he was so focused on making the whole day an experience for us and our guests beyond just DJing. He accommodated all of our desires and even made last minute changes per our request during the ceremony and reception. He made made us feel so comfortable and excited during the whole process. I cannot recommend him enough!!

Sean Carlson is the best!

If you are on the hunt for a DJ, look no further. Sean Carlson was worth every penny. I had never heard of a DJ/MC being so involved in not only the wedding, but the planning process too. Sean met with me numerous times prior to the wedding to ensure the planning process was going smoothly and to ensure all expectations I had of him were met. His online process of picking songs and filling out forms is so easy and efficient and also lots of fun to do as a couple! All I can say is he blew our expectations away. We received compliments over and over again that we had such an incredible dance floor and the music selection was incredible (all thanks to Sean!) Sean was the most incredible MC, making the crowd laugh and entertain them throughout the night! He had awesome ideas to make our wedding day unique and we couldn’t of asked for a better vendor as our DJ/MC!

Sean was an awesome DJ!

We had Sean dj for our wedding, and it could not have been a better experience!! He did a lot of personal touches and played great music to keep everyone dancing! I loved that he offers things like sharing your love story, personal grand entrances for our wedding party, and let us put in any special things we wanted (my moms birthday was the week of my wedding, and he was awesome with her birthday shoutout/ song!). He was great!

Outstanding Entertainment

Missy was top knotch!

We had Missy from Carlson as our DJ at our wedding. She was FANTASTIC. I can honestly say there was not 1 single song that came on all night that I was bummed about it being played. She could read the crowd and knew the right jams to keep the party pumping. We found Carlson because they were a preferred DJ for our reception hall, The Metropolis Resort. So glad we found them and they were part of our day!

Carlson Entertainment's services were the perfect complement to the best day of our lives!

Sean created such an amazing experience for us and our guests that beyond exceeded our expectations for our wedding day! His commitment to his clients knows no bounds - from providing ideas, very user-friendly online planning forms, timeline coordination, and even helping one of the kids in our family find a band-aid after he scraped his knee at the reception (talk about a full-service DJ)! He made the entire day so seamless and fun, and our guests absolutely loved his energy and friendliness. The dancefloor was never empty, and the playlist was just perfect for us.

He has such a big heart and a very clear passion for what he does. We loved working with him and would recommend Sean and Carlson Entertainment over and over again!

Best day of our lives!

We hired Sean to be our dj for our big day and couldn't have been happier! He was so personable and catered to our every need. He made our day absolutely perfect from our ceremony with our flower men dancers to our grand march ideas. The dance floor was always packed with guests and he always had a smile on his face. He always made sure we were on schedule throughout the day and really helped out with getting our wedding party together as it was 20 people to find. I would hire him again in a heartbeat! Sean Dj'd our wedding this past Saturday., And also prepared a video showcasing our love to each other, and telling our stories. He was the easiest, most professional, and fun person to work with. He was the first and only DJ we met with before deciding, and we instantly fell in love with the vibe he gave off. His communication was better than most, and he made a point to make sure everything was perfect for my husband and me. I will recommend Sean and all of the amazing work he does to everyone that I know. He absolutely KILLED it.

"Your DJ was the BEST!"

The best DJ ever! We heard that phrase from multiple guests all night long. Our event manager was so impressed with Sean of Carlson Entertainment that he asked to make him the preferred vendor at our wedding reception venue. Sean was easy to work with, had lots of fun ideas, and was able to make the day memorable. He did a great job putting together our love story and while reading it there wasn't a dry eye in the house! If you need a DJ for your event, look no further than Carlson Entertainment. Can choose multiple packages that fit your event and they do not try and push anything on you. Wedding planning is stressful, with Sean it is a breeze. Very fun crew

Sean is wonderful. He was willing to zoom with us since we do not live in the area. He allowed us to be creative and gave us a lot of examples from past experiences he has had. He certainly seems like the life of the party. He has a great deal of add on's for making your day extra special. Very excited to work with him and his crew.

We found Carlson Entertainment through our wedding venue recommended list. When we initially met with Sean over Skype, we immediately knew that he was the one wanted to work with for our upcoming wedding. Right from the beginning, he was always offering to help with anything that we needed, even if it didn't pertain to our music. Sean made us feel like we didn't need to worry about any of the details come the day of, which was so comforting especially since we worked with our day of coordinator through emails.
We choose to purchase the all-inclusive package that allowed us to really personalize our wedding. We made a couple fun videos, which included our dogs, that we surprised our guests with. He also helped my husband surprise me by pre recording him singing our first dance song. Everyone still raves about all of the little details that our wedding will forever be remembered by. We highly recommend Carlson Entertainment to anyone who is getting married.

Carlson Entertainment provided the perfect music for our wedding! They are true professionals, and we are so happy with everything! All of our guests loved them too! They performed live music for all aspects of our special day – ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dance. They were able to showcase their full range of talent – from classical ceremony music, to background cocktail hour music, to upbeat and modern dance music! Sean is great to work with throughout the planning process, and he is full of great ideas! He pulled together the perfect quartet of musicians to perform for us, and he even made it a special point to learn and perform our first dance song live and that added such a nice touch to the day. During the reception and dance, they were great at reading the crowd and performing songs that kept things joyous and lively!

Where do I even start? Sean worked so hard to make our day incredible! Guests asked me if we have known him for years because of how much time and effort he put into our day. From helping us plan, picking out music, and personalizing everything, he made our day unforgettable. He made us laugh with our personalized bridal party entrance and cry during the ceremony when playing guitar. Couldn't ask for a better day and person to make our night awesome. Our guests have so many great things to say also!

Sean is amazing. He worked closely with us through every step of the process, from timelines to song choices. He offers lighting options and give the couple the opportunity to create a very personalized experience. We received a ton of compliments of our "love story"- Sean asked each of us to describe how we met, our first date, our engagement etc and keep our version of the story secret from our partner. It was so fun to hear about our relationship through my groom's eyes and for him to hear mine. Sean kept the dance party going all night and helped us throw the best party ever on our best day ever! Could not recommend him more!!!

Carlson Entertainment is the best! Sean is fun to work with and is very creative. He has lots of ideas and thinks outside the box to give you the most entertaining night. When I saw him perform at a friends wedding, I knew I wanted him for my wedding. We received lots of compliments from our guests. We also had a violinist and Sean played piano during the ceremony. Sean suggested a photo booth and at first I was hesitant because I was trying to keep costs down, but I'm glad we did the photo booth. Family and friends were there all night getting fun pictures taken. If you want the best, go with Carlson entertainment. You won't be disappointed!

Sean was awesome. There was an issue with a DJ that was to be provided by our vendor that resulted in being without a DJ on Friday afternoon with a Sunday wedding. Sean was available and went above and beyond to Help us plan our day last minute. Helping with song selection was awesome and those songs will forever be a part of the most memorable parts of the day. I am so grateful that we were directed to Carlson Entertainment. Sean played an huge role in our day turning out to be the beautiful celebration of Love that it was. He was Fun, entertaining, organized and very professional even in the face of difficult venue staff. Everyone had a good time. I am grateful.

We had Zach from Carlson Entertainment!! Between him and my photographer I felt like i had a wedding planner that day! They made sure the day flowed nicely and everything that needed to be done got done! I couldnt be more thankful! He played two "last songs" as our party didnt want to stop! He kept the dance floor going all night and checked in with us frequently! He was great!

When planning a wedding, there are so many choices to make and the process can become overwhelming. We were stuck on a DJ, but as soon as we met Sean we knew we had to book him. Not only is he professional and super passionate about his services, but he's just downright an awesome human being. My husband and I fell in love through our shared love of old rock, blues, and folk classics. So it was very important for us to find a DJ who would incorporate these types of songs into our day, while also still using his own expertise - going with the crowd and choosing songs that were appropriate for the moment. And Sean did JUST that. He pulled from our list of songs for cocktail hour and dinner, and then when the dance came along, he knew exactly what songs to play to keep everyone focused on the dance floor. There was never a lull, or poor transition, and our dance floor was packed literally the entire night!! We received so many compliments from guests about Sean - not only regarding the amazing dance but the other things he included such as the personalized Love Story prior to the first dances. Guys, Sean has many weddings throughout the year but you would never know because of the amount of effort and detail he puts into YOUR day. We are sad the weddings over because he is such a fun person to be around! If you are getting married near the Eau Claire area, Carlson Entertainment is where it's at!!

**Also, his team does videography. We added this package last minute and are so thankful we did! At first we didn't think a videographer would fit into our budget but Carlson Entertainment's packages are very reasonably priced, especially when you see all that is included!

Overall we are beyond happy we chose Carlson Entertainment. Sean was an integral part of our day and it would not have been the same without him, nor would we have footage of our wedding that will last us a lifetime. Thank you, SEAN!

Sean was a wonderful DJ. Our wedding was small and the average age of the guests was a little older than most weddings. We weren't sure if people would dance or not so asked Sean to gauge the crowd and if they weren't dancing, tone the music down so people could talk. No need for that. Almost everyone was on their feet and dancing. Everyone had a great time. Leading up to the wedding Sean was very responsive and genuinely concerned about making sure everything went the way we wanted. Would highly recommend Sean.

Carlson Entertainment was the best choice we could have made for our Wedding DJ. Sean was easy to work with, he knew what he was doing and talking about, he gave great suggestions and helped us personalize our wedding reception to fit us! From the up-lighting, to the grand entrance, to the love story, every detail he helped provide was perfect. Our guests loved the music, we had him just go with the flow. We told him "if the guests are dancing and diggin' the music being played, keep doing what your doing" and he did! We got endless comments on how well he did. First of all, Sean is a joy to work with. He knows the right questions to asked when helping you prepare your special day. We never felt rushed. We had his undivided attention, and he was actually excited to be at our event. The day of the event every soul danced! My 95 year-old grandma danced! I can't say enough. Sean was absolutely the best..our wedding was a small event...and he kept everyone moving..and laughing..and interested. Everyone has talked about how we wish we had another event to hire him for..he was great! We had the privilege of meeting Abby and she was great as well....he had all the answers to all our questions. He made us all feel like he had known us forever..(we have a connection with family)..but never had the privilege till this came along. Sean and his assistant kristopher were true professionals! From the first day I met Sean I knew we would be in good hands. He was incredibly responsive to emails and changes throughout the process. He even made an extra trip to brainstorm lighting ideas for the venue. Carlson Entertainment is a class act all around.

We enjoyed our meetings prior which allowed us to learn each other's and music preferences and overall feel for our wedding day. He had great ideas and input but always gave us final say and continued to check in and update up us with choices through the end of our wedding. One example was we decided to not do the dollar dance as everyone was having an amazing time listening to the background music and playing yard games. Another is where he planned to set up for the ceremony. He made sure we were ok with him changing location as it provided more space.

Sean is also an amazing musician. He learned two songs for our ceremony, and they were fabulous!

We so enjoyed Sean's passion for great music, personalized service and interactive fun, we would absolutely recommend him to anyone! Kristopher was great too. We had an amazing time and a large part is in thanks to our fantastic DJ, master of entertainment and ambiance guru Sean! Thanks Sean, it was epic :)

Sean was the best DJ we could have asked for at our wedding. He also provided the music prior to the ceremony and during the ceremony. One of our buses was late to arrive, and Sean sang prior to the ceremony to help entertain the guests. He had an amazing voice and his talents helped to keep our guests entertained during the wait! We met with Sean a few times prior to the wedding, and every time he was extremely professional and made us relax based on his knowledge of how to work the wedding timeline at the barn and the fact that he is really easy to work with. Sean told us before hand that he would help to make our day run smoothly, and he went above and beyond! Sean also told us that he would play music that reflected how the night ran and if needed play a few games to help keep people entertained. There was not one break in the night where people were wondering what was next, his transitions from music to cake cutting, to first dances were flawless. Another thing that impressed our guests, was how well Sean knew us and how well he delivered the grand march (wedding party entrance). I had guests wonder if we had met with Sean many times prior to the wedding, however, it was only a few times which goes to show how well Sean involves himself in your wedding and gets to know the clients like they are friends! Overall, I would recommend nobody but Sean for any future events. He makes you feel like you are best friends and takes as much care to make your wedding day perfect like it was his own wedding!

From the very beginning, we knew Sean was the perfect choice. Before we looked at venues, photographers, bakers, or even selected our wedding party, we had Sean booked regardless. My fiance was a bit hesitant with such an early booking of a DJ, but after his first meeting with Sean, he knew why I had made the decision that I did. Sean not only took the time to have multiple meetings with us, but he put our minds at ease with many other wedding subjects as well. His web site is top of the line, he performs live, and he is open to meet at any time! What more could you ask for? Our officiant was new to the game, as he was one of our best friends who was ordained specifically for our wedding. Sean went over the top to help him out and to also guide all of us through our rehearsal. He was literally a wedding saver ;) When it came to the ceremony Sean played live music (anything we wanted!) and also sang. The love story and the introduction of our wedding party was also amazing! The wedding party introduction had everyone laughing hysterically, and the love story had everyone in tears! (happy tears!) People are STILL telling us how cool it was! The dance was a success, and we owe it all to Sean! He is simply the best!

Wow! Wow wow wow. I loved every bit of our experience with Carlson Entertainment. Sean was just amazing. He spent so much time with us working on our timeline and song choices. I would have never imagined a DJ being that involved – thank goodness he was, because I was clueless. As the wedding neared, a change took place with videography staffing, and I was nervous – very nervous. Sean assured us we would be satisfied, or our money back. I set the bar pretty high for the wedding highlight video, and boy did Sean nail it. I never watch it just once, and its the only thing I could watch over and over again. Somehow Sean managed to take the special moments from our day, and put it all together to create a masterpiece that makes my heart smile every single time. And that’s just the videography component. When it comes to extreme quality DJing, Sean has it. I danced and danced so much that evening.. and of course people joined in. Sean was able to customize our reception with every curveball we threw at him. He played and sang our first dance, and he was not even feeling well, but still powered through – he did that because he knew how much it meant to us. I still remember how I felt swaying on the dance floor with a live performance of our song pouring out of the speakers. I know its cliché, but I really felt like we were the only people there. Sean, thank you and your crew so, so much for adding to the experience of our wedding day. Carlson Entertainment was asked by our group to Emcee a large public event put on by multiple agencies. Sean was easy to work with, sensitive to the views of the audience and purpose of the event, and very professional. Sean Carlson put in 110% for this event, and stayed true to his word on every aspect of the agreement. The music selections were enjoyable and the informational interjections we asked for, were placed seamlessly throughout the entire presentation. WOW! I could not get on here fast enough to write a review on Carlson Entertainment. Sean far exceeded our expectations. So many people are STILL talking about how fabulous our DJ was at our wedding- from the music, to the personalization, to the energy...everything was spot on. One thing that we found very important during the whole wedding process was finding vendors who provided exceptional customers service and really truly were invested in making our day the best it could be. Sean, as our DJ was absolutely on point with making our day special and also making us feel special. So many people commented on how they had never seen anything like our DJ- which truly means so much. People said they still have tears in their eyes from the love story/first dance. If your reading this review and are trying to decide on a DJ - Sean Carlson at Carlson Entertainment is the way to go! I wish we could do it all over again and so do all of our guest. It truly was the most perfect night and it wouldn't have been the same without Carlson Entertainment!!

Sean was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ. He develops a connection with his clients to create a truly memorable experience. Every step of the process was made simple with an online planning guide along with providing additional resources. His expertise allowed our wedding to transition smoothly throughout the night while creating lasting memories. A week after our wedding we still have friends and family telling us how much fun the night was. Sean was beyond amazing from the very first email correspondence to the last song on our wedding night! Sean was wonderful! Very helpful with us being very indecisive. He allowed us to switch things around and take things out the day of the wedding. Sean @ Carlson Entertainment was absolutely amazing to work with. We live about 4 hours away from him so meetings in person all the time wasn't really an option. Sean did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding, his DJing was exceptional. He had a good selection of music and changed it to fit the crowd that was on the dance floor and also made any requests that our guests had possible. Possibly the best part of his services were his singing and instrumentals on the guitar and piano. Many of the guests came and asked where we found him because he sang and played so well and could not believe what a great performance he put on.

Engaging Carlson Entertainment was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. Sean at Carlson Entertainment is incredibly helpful, well organized, and provides useful ideas and insights. Sean is an exception DJ and master of ceremonies. He personalizes the night to the couple. For our wedding, we had a few requests but left the song selection mostly up to Sean. Sean honored all of our requests and did an excellent job selecting appropriate music that kept everyone dancing all night.

Carlson Entertainment uses the best available modern equipment available. You will not be disappointed with Carlson Entertainment's setup.

Sean, was absolutely great the entire night. The dance floor was busy all night. I never seen people just sitting down during the entire night. My night would have never been as great if it wasnt for Sean. My whole family just loved him and did an excellent job. Thank you Sean for your great services.

Sean did a great job interacting with our guests and catering to their needs. You realize once your dance begins that the music you want to hear doesn't matter as much as what your guests want to dance to. Sean did a great job of getting as many people out there as he could.

I absolutely loved working with Sean. He was professional, fun, and thorough. Our ceremony was beautiful with Sean's accoustic guitar skills and our reception a blast as he kept everyone dancing. Highly recommend his services.

Sean has a true passion for what he does. He was a very important element to making our big day so special. He continually impressed myself, my wife and all of our guests with his ability to be flexible and keep people engaged in our day. We were very impressed with Sean. He was professional and flexible. He catered to our wishes as well as the requests of our guests. He was prompt with his email responses, had great ideas for additions to our night, and was willing make changes on the fly. We would recommend Sean to anyone!!

Sean was an absolutely wonderful part of our big day. Not only was he personable and likeable as a person, but he is also a great musician. He played instrumental music for our ceremony, and also sang our song, "I could not ask for more." We got tons of compliments on the job Sean did!
He also provided the DJ and Emcee entertainment for the evening.
What we found particularly wonderful is that Sean has an online database where you can select your music and even a "do not play list" for the dance.

I really can't rave enough about Sean Carlson Music. I would recommend him to anyone looking for music entertainment. His ability to sing beautifully and play instruments in addition to DJing is what drew us to him.

You did an awesome job at Chad and my ceremony. All my guests commented on what a beautiful voice you have and how it just made the whole ceremony come together. Thank you so much for helping me with any song choices that I wasn't sure if I should go with or not. Also I can't believe it took you hardly anytime to learn the recessional song for our wedding. I will definitaly recommend you to anyone that is looking for a soloist for their ceremony or any other event.

Ease of communicating back and forth from the bride/groom and the parents of the bride was great using the internet. It made it so much easier to get a personal touch added to choice of music by being able to choose songs online prior to the wedding.

I highly recommend Sean. We gave him our song choices and he pretty much took care of the rest. He played solo acoustic guitar and sang, perfect for our little outdoor wedding. Couldn't have made a better choice!

We asked Sean to perform live music during our wedding and to provide entertainment and DJ services during our wedding reception. We could not be any happier with how our entire day turned out. Sean learned some new music for our wedding, provided the sound equipment, and brought all the music and lighting we could ask for at the reception. He was extremely professional and flexible with us and we couldn't have asked for more, two thumbs up, we would definitely recommend booking Sean for your next event, you will not be disappointed.

Sean did a great job providing live music during dinner and DJ services for the dance. He dressed professionally and kept the dancing going until the end. He was very easy to work with while we were making plans, Quite a few people asked for his card for future events, too.

Sean is extremely organized which is a valued trait among venders. His website planner is unlike anything any other entertainer has or does. His planner, music list, and timeline online helped make everything so much easier and even reminded me to plan events through the night I'd completely not thought of yet. He also made my ceremony extremely heart-felt and personal by playing my bridal party's song and my song live for me and my new hubby =) ...he also played my father/daughter dance song live too, which made so many people cry tears of joy!! The time put into my wedding details along with all the other things you've got going on is nothing short of amazing! thanks again Sean!

Sean was our DJ and also sang/played guitar/provided equipment for the ceremony. He is 100% amazing! I was very impressed. His meetings with us before the wedding were very thorough and he helped us figure out how to arrange the venue for best sound and helped us select songs for our ceremony and reception. I still can’t believe how awesome he was. Highly recommend him and his company!

We had the opportunity to have Carlson Entertainment provide the DJ and MC services for our reception. We couldn't be more happy with the quality of entertainment! Zach was our MC and DJ for the night and he did awesome! We loved that from the beginning they were 100% focused on doing what myself and my husband were looking for. We had the option for personalizing everything! Our guests loved the variety of music and he had everyone dancing all night, which was a surprise to us because our families are not the dancing type! Many of our guests came up to us and said that it was one of the best receptions they have been to in a while and really enjoyed what Zach had to offer for our reception!

We highly recommend Carlson Entertainment, they will not disappoint!!

Carlson Entertainment was highly professional and adapted to an outdoor environment with challenges. The sound for the ceremony, from voices to live music from a string quartet, was excellent. Every guest could hear the nuances of each sound source. That made it an intimate ceremony that was actually quite large in number of people and area covered. We were completely satisfied with the sound for the ceremony and music for the cocktail hour on the lawn.
