Delicious!!

Amazing cannoli cake, as always!! The little design they did for our house Just Married cake was way more than I expected, just put it in the standard notes & it was perfect!

Carried it on the plane home the day of our wedding and of course was a delicious treat on our wedding night. Thank you!!

delicious cake!

A cake with Carlo's was included from my venue. It was so easy to work with Carlo's. We selected a design and were able to sample from many flavor options. Outcome was a delicious and beautiful cake. would highly recommend.

Carlo's Bakery baked our wedding cake for our wedding at Liberty House, and we were floored by how beautiful and tasty it was! We gave our consultant, James, a bunch of photos of some ideas we liked and asked him if they could incorporate certain elements of each one into our cake design. We wanted a tree design to match the Pacific Northwest meets NYC vibe we were going for with our wedding decor, and they absolutely nailed it. So many guests commented on how it looked like a real tree! Better yet, it tasted amazing! We opted for vanilla and chocolate cake with Oreo French Cream, and it was absolutely delicious! If you're looking for a phenomenal baker, Carlo's Bakery is it! Thank you to James and all of the staff at Carlo's for bringing our cake vision to life and making it even better than we could have imagined!

Our cake was so beautiful. It was exactly what I envisioned. Though I didn't really get to taste it fresh, I did receive rave reviews from our guests! The pastries they supplied were also delicious. They were so easy to work with and responsive to any questions I had. They followed up a few days before the wedding to confirm all information and everything went perfectly.

We had our wedding exactly a year ago and I never had the chance to write a review on all our vendors. I had my wedding at the Liberty House and Carlo's Bakery cake was in their package. The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious. Going to Carlo's Bakery to see the cakes and testing were both very easy. Would definitely recommend!

Everything with Carlo's Bakery was very easy, from our consultation/tasting (best part of wedding planning) to the day of the wedding. We got ours as part of the package with our venue, but the flavor options did not seem to be limited at all. The cake was delicious, especially the carrot cake layer, and exactly as pictured.

Our wedding cake was from Carlos' Bakery. How can you go wrong? It was absolutely delicious! The cake tasting was to die for! From the initial consultation at their corporate office (which was cake heaven, btw) to the day of delivery, everything was seamless. It was so hard to choose! We ended up choosing red velvet and strawberry shortcake.

Absolutely amazing!! The most flawless vendor experience over the year and a half spent planning the wedding! They were extremely responsive, easy to work with, no stress! They worked with us to turn our complicated wedding cake vision into a reality- and it came out amazing - better than I dreamt of yet exactly what we wanted!! The cake was delicious and beautiful. We did a split bride/groom cake that had one side all "bride" (butterflies, quilting, gold/purple), and the other side of the cake was the "groom" - with a car garage, tool box, monogram, It was perfect. If you are thinking about Carlo's for your wedding cake - they are worth every penny!! Thanks Carlo's!!

Our venue's catering package included a wedding cake from Carlo's Bakery and we were so excited to work with them. Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and it tasted really good! We chose a vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream inside. We also had pastries in addition to the cake for dessert at our wedding and they were fantastic as well.

Selecting our wedding cake was one of the easiest and most enjoyable tasks of wedding planning. Our wedding was held at Liberty House in Jersey City; therefore, a cake from Carlo's was included in the wedding package. This said, Carlo's Bakery offered excellent service. Our cake tasting was SO MUCH FUN...many thanks again to Sarah who made the experience really memorable. I'll also say that the wedding cake ended up tasting much, much better at the wedding than at the tasting. We hardly took any home because it was so good and people were requesting seconds. If I were to do it all over again, I'd still order from Carlo's.

Carlo’s bakery was the preferred baker for our wedding venue and it was easy to see why. The cake was beautiful but, more importantly, it was absolutely delicious. Our guests could not get enough of it and we’ve been happily eating the leftovers for 3 days now. The staff at Carlo’s was very easy to work with and we were very pleased with our cake.

We ordered a few pastries and a cake from Carlo's bakery for an engagement party and we weren't dissappointed. Especially with the canoli. They were the best that I ever tasted. We will definitely use them again.

Initially I thought something like the wedding cake was important, but not as important as other services. The closer I got to my wedding, I realized that every single aspect of your wedding is just as important as the others because just one can ruin the others. SO thankful I went with Carlo's and ended up with a beautiful and DELICIOUS cake! Thanks guys!

We had our wedding at the Hyatt in Jersey City. Carlo's Bakery is a preferred vendor for the Hyatt. A few months before our wedding we booked a tasting at their Jersey City facility with Ray. They let us choose from approximately 25 different cake styles and then let us have a tasting with 8-10 different pre-made fillings. With our guest count they gave us a 4-tier cake. Ray gave us free reign with the cake and told us we could have a different filling in each tier if we wanted to. We ended up choosing a strawberry shortcake, red velvet and black/white with fudge filling for our tiers. The cake was delicious!!!! We wanted to change the color for our flowers on the cake and Carlos's charged a nominal fee. It totally made the cake! Thank you to Ray and the staff for making us a delicious centerpiece for the wedding!

My husband and I worked with Angelo from Carlo's and it was great. We had nothing to worry about after we picked a flavor and design of the cake; Angelo handled everything. It was delivered on time and was honestly the best wedding cake I have ever had! Would definitely recommend.

Carlos bakery is the preferred bakery at Liberty House to order your wedding cakes. From the cake tasting to the day before their service was impeccable. We were able to have each cake tier a different flavor to make our wedding extra special. They called the week of the wedding to confirm all details and our guest count for accuracy. And on the wedding day many of our guests were raving about our wedding cake from the design and the quality of taste. Excellent choice for your wedding cake.

Carlo's Bakery provided our wedding cake as well as a Batman themed groom's cake I surprised my husband with. I had to do most of my groom's cake ordering through email so my husband wouldn't know what was going on. Marissa was so helpful and was always responsive to my questions. The wedding cake looked beautiful and they were able to make the flowers match perfectly to the bridesmaids dresses. The groom's cake was especially a hit with my husband, guests, and even my other vendors! Thank you to Marissa and Carlo's Bakery for doing a fantastic job!

Our wedding was at the Liberty House in Jersey City NJ, and as part of their wedding package we received our cake through Carlo's bakery. Actually the cake (and the cake tasting) came from their Jersey City location, which is more of a corporate office/huge bakery that isn't a storefront.

The cake tasting was awesome and we loved our cake.

Carlos bakery was awesome I went and met the head decorator Mauro n immediately picked a beautiful cake,I wanted to add a few extras to it so I had numerous discussion about the cake I ,with Angelo , he was patient and he answered my call every time. Not only was the cake beautiful it was delicious. Carlos Bakery isn't just a reality show type of bakery with a lot of hype ,they truly are the real deal. My cake was so good , I picked a black&white cake with fudge filling ,it was square ,with beautiful roses&catalily ,with a few extras ,it so breath taking and delicious. I extremely overwhelmed by it. Thank u Carlos Bakery

Everyone knows Carlos Bakery from TV but we had the best experience as Hoboken-ites. The price tag was not cheap but MAN the cake was so beautiful and delicious. They completely matched our vision.

I still have guests asking me if there are any leftovers. You know the cake is good when people say they ate two slices at your wedding!

We were really on the fence with going with these guys since they are a huge tourist destination. Our fears all went away once we met with Mauro. What a genuinely nice guy and also very knowledgable.

We will be absolutely returning for occasion cakes from here on out.

GORGEOUS cake, and absolutely delicious. I am trying so hard not to take the top piece out of the freezer (the wedding was this past Saturday). The tasting was such a good experience and they gave me exactly what I wanted.

Absolutely delicious! We got married at the Hyatt Jersey City, so the cake was included as a part of our package with our venue. Carlos lived up to its reputation and then some! We had our consultation with Mauro - he made it really easy for us - we ended up choosing the chocolate top and vanilla bottom with chocolate ganache in the center - fantastic!

This is the 3rd time we have gone to Carlo's for a cake and it just keeps getting better. Our wedding cake exceeded our expectations. It was fabulous!!! Such a highlight of the wedding! And most importantly it tasted great!! We worked with Mary to design our unique cake and we got exactly what we wanted and then some. They are an amazing family and it was important for us to use a family business. They take such care and consideration. The cake was so beautiful it hurt to cut into it. I will definitely keep on using them.

I have watched the show Cake Boss a few times with my fiancée and luckily work close in proximity to the bakery located in Hoboken NJ. I have often enjoyed pastries and sweets with coworkers from the many selections at the bakery. However when we booked our wedding at the Liberty House we were overjoyed to know that our package came with a cake from Carlos Bakery.

In the beginning we were quite nervous that the cake may not be as good as the individual smaller pastries we have had in the past. We booked our cake tasting and brought along my sister and her boyfriend. From the moment our booking was accepted for the tasting everything was extremely simple and a bit of stress automatically lifted. Mauro assisted us in the tasting and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He made our appointment move smoothly and helped provide us with a perfect memory of something we initially thought would be yet another wedding preparation. We selected our cake flavors ( there were many delicious ones to choose from) and requested to have butterflies with our flowers that we spotted on another cake we saw in the room. We explained that our daughter absolutely loved butterflies and she would be ecstatic to see them on the cake. It was not a problem and although it was an added price it was extremely reasonable.

The day of our wedding the cake was absolutely beautiful with every detail that was agreed upon. Our daughter loved the butterflies and we heard nothing but compliments on the cake's beauty. The taste was perfect and exactly what we recalled from our tasting. Although as tradition couples usually save the top cake tier for their 1 year anniversary we decided to devour it while fresh and order a smaller one next year for our anniversary. We just couldn’t let a good thing wait so long!

Sooooo yummy!!! I can't really comment on the cost, because it was included as a part of our package with our venue, but wow! Carlos lived up to its reputation. We had a great consultation with Mauro. He even let us tweek one of their designs to make it exactly what we wanted. And the cake! Oh the cake! It was the best that I have ever had. If you are getting married in the tristate and can swing it to spend the bucks - definitely go for Carlos.

Carlos bakery was so amazing. In light of the hurricane ( sandy) and the bakery being in Hoboken/ Jersey City, they still made sure I had the exact cake we planned on the day of my wedding ( which changed locations to NYC). It was delicious and the name speaks for itself.

Getting our cake with Carlo's was one of the easiest processes of wedding planning! We had an awesome 4 tier red velvet cake that was so delicious, some of our guests took a slice up to their rooms for breakfast.

Our wedding cake was perfect for our event. We chose a black and white multiple layered cake with the NYC skyline as a border. The cake itself was delicious, we chose red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and were pleased that it was moist and tasted just like we'd had at our cake tasting with Mauro the pastry chef. He was a great help in choosing what to serve to our guests based upon what we like. Mauro was funny and made the whole experience top notch. I can't tell you how many people told me that they were instructed to get a piece of our wedding cake to take home for sampling, we were afraid we'd run out of cake to serve! Joking aside, Carlos Bakery survived Sandy and will definitely receive our bakery business in the future.

My wife and I as part of our deal with the Liberty House got a deal with the famous Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken. Our out of town guests loved this since their children watch the TV show. We got to pick from 18 different cake styles and 12 different cake flavors in person. You could even have each layer of cake a different flavor if you were torn. The tasting was very helpful since we ended up choosing several flavors we may not have otherwise. We had a little over 150 people attending, so we were able to add an extra layer for about $100 (cake is included in Liberty House contract otherwise).

Although you have to pick from a number of cake designs, there is some flexibility in taking one aspect of one design and adding it to another...like using a different cake's flowers for instance. They will even remake the top part of your cake on your anniversary for about $50 if you desire. Of all the things to worry about when planning your own wedding, this is certainly not one of them.

We had met with Mauro for my consultation. He was actively involved and had great insight. He built us the most beautiful 5 tier cake. I recommend the vanilla/chocolate cake with fudge frosting. It was part of our venue package and he didn't skimp AT ALL. The cake looked like a million bucks. We cut our top layer into 12 pieces so we could enjoy it all year. Three months in and it still tastes just as fresh as the first day!! Hoping to have a mini one recreated for our anniversary. They were one of our best vendors.

My wedding cake was free from Carlos Bakery because it was part of our venue's package. I only had to add a little extra because I wanted my own custom design. I met with Mauro and showed him a picture of what I wanted, with a few things to change about it. We got huge slices of cake for the cake tasting and we went with the black and white with fudge. Being that we met with him 6 months before the wedding I was a little nervous it wasn't going to be exactly what I asked for because the meeting would be forgotten about (because they are such a busy bakery). We had a 5 tier cake with simple design element to match our theme. The vanilla cake with strawberries as the filling was so delicious that our family asked if we had any extra for them to have after the wedding. We had an entire tier left for about a week after the wedding and it was fresh like the day it was made. We were thrilled to have Carlos' Bakery make our wedding cake. Yes, it is the bakery in which "Cake Boss", is filmed at! I had my cake delivered from Hoboken, to Kansas (very far drive for the team,) but they managed! And my cake couldn't of been more spectacular. There was written on the cake "Good Luck, David!", for my husband, and we loved it! Also as the cake topper, there was my my dog and Dave's dog, yanking on my dress! So funny! This is the BEST BAKERY EVER. How often do things live up to their hype??? Well in this case they sure do -- the Cake Boss made us a delicious and gorgeous wedding cake! We also bought cookies for a cookie bar that were also delicious! Home run!!!! And the guys were so great to work with!

I first tried Carlos Bakery a few years ago - my first red velvet cupcake. Ever since, I've been trying to find somewhere that can come close so I can indulge without going all the way to Hoboken. I've not found any that can even resemble it. Since I'd failed to find anything even remotely resembling the red velvet I craved, I went to Hoboken the morning before my wedding to pick up a Red Velvet cake from the case. We didn't open the box until about 9pm the following day and the cake was absolutely amazing! So fresh, moist and delicious - just what I had wanted... I was nervous how it would hold up after a day and a half since it usually doesn't last me more than 5 hours when I get one - but it was just as good as fresh. We ate a slice every morning before we left for the day and every night when we returned for the next 4 or 5 days - still totally delicious. I don't have any experience with custom orders or official 'wedding cake' orders... but if you'd be happy with standard cakes from the display case to serve at your wedding - I think it's the way to go! I got a few other things while I was there, so not 100% sure on the price, but it was around $25 or less and easily served 12 really good sized pieces.

Carlo's Bakery is known as the "Cake Boss" and after working with them it is easy to see why! Their cakes are absolutely delicious! No traditional blah wedding cakes here! The flavors taste home made! Our cake was actually included in our contract with our venue (the liberty house in jersey city) yet we had over 20 designs to choose from, and countless flavor combinations, and were even able to set up a tasting! We loved it so much that we ordered an additional grooms cake from them, in a different flavor. We will absolutely be returning customers!

Me and my husband got our wedding cake from Carlos Bakery and I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it came out! We had our wedding overlooking the NYC skyline and our cake was made to match that! It had cutouts of buildings to match the skyline! It was a skyline cake! It came out so great and we were so happy with your service! Not to mention the cake tasted amazing! If you want your cake to be picture perfect go with Carlos! It's so worth it! Believe the hype!

Our wedding cake was not one of those over the top 3D cakes on the TV show, but was an elegant 4 layer cake. My wife and I selected Red Velvet and a variant of strawberry shortcake. 2 weeks post wedding I am still getting complements on how good the cake was. Even thinking of eating the top layer!

I have to say, we only used Carlos' Bakery b/c our venue has a contract with them, and they automatically do all the wedding cakes. With that being said, it made things super easy for us- all we had to do was enjoy a delicious tasting! My husband loves the show, so it was that much more fun to have our first official cake from Carlos'. And everyone is still talking about it!

I was a little worried that the cake wasn't going to be what i wanted, since you just simply tell them what you want, and have to hope that the cake will look that way on your wedding day, but i was pleasantly suprised! We were thrilled with our snow capped wedding cake with red velvet and cream cheese icing for our winter wedding. The cake tasted great! And the cake looked wonderful. We could not be more pleased. The hand done flowers looked exactly like the black magic roses in my wedding bouquet. The snow effect looked exactly like the cake fell in the snow and the snow stayed stuck on it. We were so happy with the cake. All our guests loved it too. And all the ornaments we provided were included at just the right amount. Buddy at Carlo's bakery is great to work with. He is very creative and will make the vision for your cake a reality. Not only do his cakes look beautiful but they are delicious. Buddy and his team made my dream wedding cake! My parents had originally gone to Carlo's Bakery for my wedding shower cake for something fun and different. It was amazing and after we tasted it - we were sold on having the wedding cake come from Buddy.

My parents and I ventures to the bakery one Saturday morning and worked on a cake with Buddy himself. We tasted different combinations and looked through the wedding book. I left very happy but unsure about the design that my parents and I had chosen.

That night I called my parents and said that the cake didn't resonate with my fiance and I. So, I bit the bullet and called Carlo's. They were so helpful and so nice that they offered to fit me in on a busy Saturday to discuss the changes. I sat with Mauro and we worked it out in 10 minutes. We told him our ideas, we discussed the "Mauro shuffle" (different shaped cakes stacked on each other) and color. I emphasized that I wanted my cake to have a wow factor but not be overrun with very bright colors.

Buddy called me when the design of the cake started to understand the concept and colors again .... and when I walked into the ballroom - it was more than I had imagined. My cake was a highlight for everyone at the event and it was a delicious treat for me when I got back to my room that night too!

Buddy at Carlos City Hall Bake Shop is a master of wedding cakes. Our wedding cake was so gorgeous, it almost didn't look like a cake! We went with a red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and the outside was white fondant with silver details. It was four layers, and each layer was different - one looked like a quilted pillow with tassels and one looked like it was draped in fabric. I didn't know a cake could look so good, and the taste was divine! We did the traditional freezing of the top layer and just ate it for our 1 year anniversary, and it was as good as our wedding day!

We also used Carlos for our wedding favors. We gave everyone a small box of miniature Italian pastries and everyone raved about them.

Buddy the cake designer was excellent from the moment we stepped into the bakery. He gave us some books to look at and we decided what we wanted. He customized the cake just for us. We had the carrot cake and it was so delicious, moist and not too sweet. I just loved them.
We also used Carlos Bakery for our Cookie Buffet. All of the cookies were super fresh and tasted amazing. We had personalized biscotti and mini black and white cookies. The guests loved the Cookie Buffet and there werent any cookies left over!

Ill start by saying that our wedding cake from Carlos was absolutely delicious! You can never expect much from wedding cake - however our cake from Carlos was wonderful, and actually many guests commented how delicious the cake tasted both at the reception and after. We chose a simple black and white cake w a strawberry cream filling, and went with whip cream frosting rather than fondant. Sounds pretty basic and simple - but it was soo super yummy and fresh.

My only issue, which wasn't a huge one for me, but can certainly be a major one for some brides, is they did not frost the cake in the colors we had chosen and settled on at our tasting consultation. We even provided a picture of basic rose piping in pink on every other tier, when we got to the reception i saw that the piping and cake decor was perfect, however the whole cake was white, not pink as indicated on our receipt. Our florist had also decorated the cake w flowers Ect so It looked beautiful regardless of the color mix-up, however, to someone this would of been a huge deal (and rightfully so).

All in all I would get another cake from cArlos. The product was excellent and enjoyed by all.

I was surprised at how many beautiful choices they had available for the package cakes (most places offered very boring plain cakes that were included). Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken made my wedding cake and it was the best cake I have ever tasted. We met with Mauro for our consultation and then with Frankie to go over some last minute changes to detail. They are really great to work with. It is a little hard to get in touch with them on the phone to make an appointment so make sure you specify you want a wedding cake. They are also a little pricey but definitely worth it, beautiful work.

We got our wedding cake from Carlo's Bakery and it was delicious. Not only does Carlo's make beautiful looking cakes, they actually taste even better. We were very happy with the flavors we chose - we alternated chocolate cake and chocolate ganache filling with black and white cake with fudge filling. Our guests were raving about the cake. Many told us it was the best cake they have ever had. The only minus to working with Carlo's is that the shop is very busy. We didn't have the best experience going in for the cake tasting. It was practically impossible to get to the table in the back of the store where they do all of the consultations. Once we made it there, we didn't have any privacy and could barely hear one another over the crowd in the bakery. But in the end, it was worth it!

We selected a green cake with the ivory trim, chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, chocolate mousse, raspberries & finally a yellow cake all as one layer. It was not only beautiful but delicious. The cake was so moist I couldn't even get it to stay on my fork. I demanded all left overs be brought to our room, where I made everyone eat more. Our friends and family also enjoyed the cake. I can't wait to go back for an anniversary cake!

I can honestly say after working in the catering business for 16 years this was the BEST wedding cake I have ever tasted (and I have tasted a lot of cakes).

The only down side was that I had to pay to have the sugar flowers changed to calla lilies, which I thought was silly since the cake on the next page had the very same calla lilies.

Buddy from Carlo's Bakery did a great job with our wedding cake. I knew their cakes were delicious from past experience with the bakery, and ours certainly was...the fudge filling...mmm...I still think about it! I ate a whole bunch of it the morning after the wedding.

Buddy really helped us with design as well. Our wedding was deco-themes and the colors were black, red and white. Considering we didn't want an all white cake these are not the easiest colors. He helped us to incorporate the black in to an elegant, beautiful cake. Both delish and it made for fabulous pics!

My wedding cake ROCKED. It was the best tasting cake ever. It was moist, the fondant was sugary and not bland, the filling was mouth watering - just perfect. The only complaint I have is that I have to wait until my 1 year anniversary to eat the top of the cake! I will probably end up ordering a mini version of our cake for our 1 year anniversary so that the fresh taste of our wedding cake brings us back to our wedding day.

Buddy truly is an artist at what he does and tries to please his clients to the best that he can. We ordered a square cake but a round cake was delivered - regardless, the cake was still beautiful!

Carlo's bakery made my groom's cake - an exact replica of my husband's 1969 Chevelle. It was absolutely delicious & everyone loved it. Thank you Cakeboss!

What a great place to get the ultimate wedding cake. "Buddy" was able to grab my wife's idea of the perfect cake and made it much better. Always keep me up to date with the progress of the cake and was so happy with the end result. He is the cake boss for that reason!!

I'll start this by saying that the Carlo's cake came with our wedding package at the Hyatt in Jersey City.

With that being said, working with the staff at Carlo's was painless with our tasting going extremely well. We initially had decided on "Cityskape" yellow cake with strawberry filling. But decided on changing later on to carrot cake, which despite being different for a wedding was the best tasting in our opinion.

One or two emails went unanswered for a day or two and in a world of immediate responses it was a bit strange, but in the end the right cake with the right colors and everything was delivered on time.

Although it was expensive, our sand castle cake themed came out beautiful and the vanilla cake with caramel filling tasted delicious! We met with the staff at the Westfield, NJ location and they were a pleasure to work with!

When I found out my venue provided a Cake Boss cake with our package, I really wasn't expecting much. I'd seen the show and had been to the bakery a few times and it didn't seem like anything special. Scheduling our tasting was a pain and it was even more difficult pushing through the massive crowds to get to our appointment. But I have to say, the cake was probably the best I'd ever tasted. Fresh, moist and delicious. Even the fondant was tasty. I'm drooling thinking about it now and I can't believe I have to wait a whole year to eat the left overs!

My husband loved his UFC Octagon groom's cake from Carlo's Bakery. Making an appointment was simple and my consultation with Mauro helped me in thoroughly planning my cake ideas. Mauro helped to design a comical cake with my husband and I in our martial arts uniforms, with me side kicking him! While it was a little hard getting in touch with them to change the cake filling, once I did get in touch with somone, they were extremely flexible in accomodating me. I liked how Mauro called to confirm every aspect of the cake prior to it being made two days before the wedding. The guests were amazed and my husband was in utter shock when the cake was brought out. While it was definitely overpriced, it was well worth it! Everyone still talks about the cake from it's design to how delicious the black and white cake with fudge filling tasted!

The wedding cake, the cake-tasting, and Buddy of Carlo's Bakery, definitely "take the cake" when it comes to what was best about my wedding. It doesn't get any better than Carlo's. Our cake rocked. It was beautiful, perfect, and delicious. The cake-tasting was a heavenly event -- sitting in a bakery on a Sunday morning tasting 10 pieces of cake. Like I said, it doesn't get any better! Highly highly recommended for any wedding taking place in the NYC area.

Although we HAD to use Carlo's for our cake (it was included in our package at the Hyatt), we found the selection of "package cakes" though not vast still had what we wanted. The cake was delicious (even the frozen piece that we ate on our anniversary) and Buddy accomodated our heavy Mickey and Minnie Mouse cake topper by including carboard rods in the top cake layer. To this day people are remarking about how tasty the cake was.

The team at Carlos was great to work with and reassured me throughout the process that I didn't have to worry about anything. And, they were right! The cake and black and white cookie favors were a hit - looked beautiful and so delicious. The only snag was that their selection offered through our contract was disappointingly limited (they have a pre set contract with our venue). However, his team went out of their way to figure out a way to make the cake I was looking for and were so accommodating from that point forward. It was a great experience for both us and our guests!

The cake came together with my package from the venue but we did go to Carlo's to select the cake and taste the options.

Very delicious cake but limited options if you are choosing from the basic options. Most of them were very old fashioned. The cake we chose had green flowers on it and they charged us $100 just to change the color of the flowers to pink, which I thought was totally absurd.

My cake was DELICIOUS and beautiful! Of course, I didn't actually taste it until the next day, with all the fun to be had during the wedding, the last thing I wanted to do was eat cake, but I should have! It was even delicious the next day though. The cake was a part of the package that I was given at the Liberty House, where the reception was, so I didn't have a choice, but I woulnd't have wanted it any other way. They were down to earth people when I went for the tasting and on the wedding day I was happy that it looked exactly how I was hoping it would. The only downside is that they could not provide a gluten free option for my husband with celiac disease-- BUT we really appreciated their honesty in that they can not provide a safe, gluten free kitchen in which to make it. More bakeries should be as honest as that and not claim to provide allergy free food, if they knowingly can not.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my wedding cake from Carlos!

The Cake Boss!! although it was a little tough getting an appointment, they hooked us up with an absolutely beautiful cake... and it was pretty yummy too! Buddy himself delivered it the day of the wedding. It was a good photo opp!

Carlo's Bakey is the exclusive dessert vendor that our venue uses. We had a consultation at their headquarters in NJ and really enjoyed the tasting, and Sarah, our consultant, was extremely helpful. I definitely asked her the same question more than once, and she was very patient. Not long before our wedding, we got a new consultant, and something was lost in the transition. We ended up getting the wrong cupcakes on our wedding day. They looked lovely and tasted fine, but the color was not what we signed up for, and I think that Sarah's transition was the reason why, since her replacement (a very nice person) didn't seem to have a clear idea of our order, and I don't think he had access to her emails. (Before I found out she left, I sent her an email that was apparently never received.) I wish I had made sure this was squared away. We and our families were the only people who realized the error, but it was disappointing nonetheless. I can understand a little detail being lost, but the mistake was from our original order and tasting. There should have been a hard copy record of that. The pastries at the table were absolutely delicious, and there were many many left over for us to take home and enjoy the week after the wedding.
