We had an absolutely amazing experience at The Carl House. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly accommodating, kind, and attentive- not only to us, but to every single one of our guests. The venue itself is stunning, and we received nonstop compliments all night about how beautiful everything was.

Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing the staff was and how delicious the food was. It truly exceeded expectations.

A huge shoutout to Indira, our coordinator, who was absolutely AMAZING!! She made us feel so special and completely at ease, and she ensured the entire day flowed effortlessly. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made all the difference and allowed us to truly enjoy every moment.

My new husband and I HIGHLY recommend using Carl House for your wedding, baby shower, or any other event! The owner, David, was flexible and generous every step of the planning process. Our planner, Nicole, was responsive and helpful. Our day-of coordinator, Indera, was incredible; sweet, energetic, patient, flexible, and attentive!! The venue is beautiful inside and out and all of the staff are amazing and professional!! And anyone who’s had the food here will tell you how fantastic it all tastes. We couldn’t recommend Carl House more! Working with them was seamless from start to finish, and their pricing is unmatched, especially considering all that their packages include! There’s nothing we would have changed about our wedding day.

Let me just say my experience with Carl House from start to finish was just AMAZING. I love how the Carl House does the Carl House Experience (CHE) for we could try different foods on the menu and meet a variety of wonderful vendors. During the CHE process my husband and I selected our menu and we got amazing review from all of our guest. A lot people found out they actually like Brussel sprouts. Here it is 2 months from the day of my wedding I am still craving the delicious food which says a lot about. Also, from the CHE, I was able to choose a make up artist, DJ, Car rental company, wedding cake person and lastly my flowers where amazingly arranged by the in-house florist. The one thing I love about the Carl House is that you get a lot for your money and you will not be disappointed. My day of coordinator Nicole was a God sent. Even through all the crazy and my indecisive self, she always provided me with truth on what works best for their venue, she also had everyone a schedule that flowed very well. Nicole made sure my husband and I were able to eat and were not disturbed for we can enjoy our first meal together, she also made sure I did not ruin my dress with food and provided me a long napkin to keep my dress clean. The in-house Florist Lindy was amazing. The talent she has is beyond measure. She will give you options for your budget and help you picture what you want then create it and exceed all my expectations. I have never seen such beautiful flower arrangements in my life. Overall between the access to great vendors, amazing food, excellent organization with the wedding process, and the amazing florist and flowers you can never go wrong with this venue. I cannot express how happy both me and my husband are with our decision to use the Carl House as our venue. From the moment we saw the place we just knew this is where we wanted to get married. Aside from the beauty of the Carl House, the staff was so amazing and helped me every step of the way. Nicole you were a lifesaver on the day of the wedding! Nicole had helped me with everything I was worried about on the big day. She had made it were our wedding turned out so perfect and easy going, I could not have asked for anything more or for anything to have gone differently. I want to also thank Lindy she went above and beyond with the flowers and decor, you can tell she puts all her effort into each piece that she makes. I was so appreciative with how truly beautiful everything was and how all the colors of the flowers worked so perfect with the color of the bridal parties dresses. Also, the buffet was an awesome way to go with the package we chose, all of the food was absolutely delicious! I cannot recommend the Carl House enough to any new engaged couples who are looking for a venue. Thank you again to everyone that was there and had helped make our wedding beautiful!

I cannot say enough good things about The Carl House. From the moment we started talking to them, they were incredible. Kim was amazing with her responsiveness and showing us around the grounds. She was patient with us while we toured and with all the questions we had when we were going through the contract. And then Lindy, their in house florist, was wonderful! Lindy was so patient with us - we emailed her A LOT! And oh my gosh- did she deliver!!! She did such a beautiful job on the wedding day. She offered different price rates for each item, and they were all reasonable. And even if we chose a cheaper option, it didn't feel like it. The vision I had - she made it even better and brough it to life. And Nicole - the wedding coordinator - is awesome. She helped us make decisions, she's direct and she is with you all through the wedding day. Nicole was so wonderful helping us and helping pack up things for the end of the night. Nicole helped our night to go smoohtly and I am so grateful to her. The entire staff was amazing and Megan served us during cocktail hour while we finished photos. Our wedding was the perfect day because of The Carl House - they made the whole process stress free. They are reasonably priced for what they offer. Book The Carl House!! You won't regret it.

Carl House is an incredible wedding venue! My husband and I got married here in October of this year and it was the most amazing day that was made possible by the most amazing venue team. Lindy, the in house florist, made our floral dreams come to life beyond what I thought was possible...seriously incredible. Nicole the day of coordinator ensured that everything went smoothly so that we were never concerned about anything except for having a great time - she literally helped me put my shoes on at one point. The food was AWESOME and overall the team was so helpful. The owner is very gracious and accommodating to all of our unique requests which was so appreciated. Highly recommend, thank you Carl House!!

This venue was such a dream! Everyone was so amazing and kind! The biggest thing we looked for when visiting venues was to to be treated like people and not like a sale. That is exactly what we got with The Carl House! It started with Kim. Absolutely delight to work with and was so flexible especially since we only were having the reception there. Then we worked with Nicole as the wedding coordinator and let me tell you, she will fight for you. Their goal there is to make sure you have the day you want and they will do everything they can to make that happen! Also the food there is amazing! 12/10 would recommend! Every person I worked with made sure that we would have the day we wanted and not have to worry about a single thing. I was highly impressed and if you’re looking you need to go check them out.

I knew I wanted this place when I first laid eyes on the staircase in the ballroom and the rest of the house had me falling head over heels too! Everything about it was so perfect, and the service was amazing as well! Indira was so kind and knew just what to do to keep the day of in line!

I am so happy we decided to have our wedding here at Carl House. They made everything so much easier and I could not recommend them more to busy couples. We used the in house florist, Lindy, and she blew our expectations out of the water with her beautiful floral designs. Nicole, our wedding coordinator was fantastic from day one. She asked us all the right questions, was on top of literally EVERYTHING, and was so supportive of us on our big day! Without her, we would not have been able to make it through some of the hiccups we experienced as a result of situations outside Carl House’s control. We really cannot recommend Carl House enough. Carl House exceeded our expectations for our vow renewal! From the business side, to coordinating details, to the day of, leadership and staff were amazing. Our ceremony and reception was beautiful! All our guests were pleased and provided positive feedback on their experience. Nicole (coordinator) and Lindy (in house florist) provided courteous, timely and communicative customer care. Lindy is EVERYTHING when it comes to floral decor; you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Carl House for the wedding of our dreams! My husband and I would book again and again!

David, Nicole, Lindy, Debbie and their team have been great. All the guests loved the venue, the food, and had a great time.
We chose Carl House partially because all corners of the house are picture perfect. From the rooms that we’re getting ready in, to the bathrooms and of course reception area and the entire backyard full of flowers and with a fountain and a gorgeous gazebo.
They also have an in-house chef who has a great menu, the drink selection was good as well.
Nicole was wonderful to keep things moving and stay on schedule as much as possible.
They also have an in-house decorator who can make any dream vision come true with flowers and linens.
The staff that brings food and drinks during the first look photos to us to make sure we still eat and can enjoy their appetizer.
We also really appreciated David’s help throughout the planning stages.
Carl is a quiet place between Winder and Lawrenceville and was easy to find for all of our guests.
I would definitely recommend Carl House for your future event.

The Carl House was everything I dreamed of and more. When we first started looking, I had never even heard of The Carl House. I saw some pictures online and decided to check it out. When we got there, we both fell in love. We loved how simple The Carl House made it. Everything was laid out right in front of us. The only thing we needed to worry about was photography, videography, cake and the DJ.

Nicole was also AMAZING. She made sure all of my questions were answered and helped everything go so smooth. My bridesmaids and groomsman especially loved her ability to always keep a drink in their hands whether before the ceremony or during pictures. I could not imagine our big day with out her!

Finally, Lindy, the in house florist was amazing as well. I brought in a lot of my own decorations but she helped with florals and making sure my vision came to life.

The Carl House and staff was an absolute dream to work with. My husband and I fell in love with the venue the moment we saw it. Nicole, the in house planner, made my every vision come true. I was able to be completely hands off during my big day and she took care of everything. If anything went wrong, I didn't know about it. She always made sure myself and the wedding party had drinks in hand. This was especially appreciated after the ceremony and before pictures. She handled the coordination with my outside vendors (which was only photography, DJ, and officiant - Carl House has in house staff for just about everything else). The food was exquisite. I was an absolute mess planning my wedding amidst Covid but Nicole and the team made me feel completely at ease. My day was absolutely perfect! The only thing I would have changed was adding extra time to my reception!

Carl House was phenomenal! It is absolutely beautiful and their staff is incredibly competent. I am so so grateful to Nicole and Debbie for helping us through the process of contracting and especially on the big day. We had several cancellations due to the Corona outbreak but Nicole was a champ and helped me re-coordinate our entire seating chart on the day of all the while wrangling groomsmen and vendors. I would absolutely return for any event.

When I began looking for a wedding venue, I saw what felt like every type of venue possible before my visit to the Carl House, yet when my mother and I pulled into the driveway the first time, I immediately knew The Carl House was the one. One of the best things about the Carl House is that so much of the major things you need - catering, florist, day-of coordinator, décor - are built into the package cost. As an out of town bride (I live in DC and got married in GA), that aspect of Carl House was a life saver. Everything was phenomenal. The food was good, the flowers and décor were beautiful and exactly what I wanted (thank you, Lindy!), and it was all packaged perfectly into the naturally beautiful, southern estate home feel I so desired. Carl House management has thought of everything a bride and groom might desire for their wedding, including two fun photo booths (highly recommend!) and elegantly decorated respective bride and groom suites for getting ready/dressed. The staff was amazing also. Before the ceremony began, the staff took the beverage orders of the wedding party/family and had drinks ready and waiting for us after the ceremony and then passed hors d'oeuvres to us while we took pictures during cocktail hour so we didn't have to miss a moment of our day and all that we planned for. It was truly the perfect touch of added service that puts Carl House above other venues. To top it all off, Nicole, the day-of coordinator, is excellent at her job and helped keep the entire day and evening flowing smoothly. I was SO glad to have her overseeing the entire event because it took a huge weight off my and my family's shoulders knowing we had someone we could trust. I could not be happier with having selected the Carl House as my wedding venue and highly recommend their services.

My husband and I got married September 2019 and words cannot describe how amazing the Carl House was. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, but everything ran SO smoothly thanks to the owner and staff of the venue. The wedding coordinator, Nicole, was so accommodating with all of our wishes. The staff was incredible, making sure we had appetizers and drinks all during the cocktail hour while we were taking pictures. We felt like royalty, as did our guests and bridal party. The staff was so helpful with my family at the end of the night and packed their car with all of the decorations and flowers. And Lindy, the Carl House florist, was AMAZING!! Oh my goodness, I was speechless with her work and it was worth every penny. The venue exceeded our expectations beyond belief. We could not have imagined a more beautiful wedding! Thank you so much Carl House for the best day of our lives.

I can’t begin to say enough good things about the Carl House. It was the perfect wedding venue for our wedding. The house is beautiful, but the grounds are exquisite. If you drive by, you may think the location detracts from the venue; however, once you drive through the gates, you’re transported. The grounds are intimate, quiet and much more expansive than you would think just from viewing the house from the road. The entire property makes for gorgeous pictures from every angle.

But Carl House is more than just a pretty location. It’s a business that is ready to make your wedding perfect. The event team is absolutely incredible. You get a dedicated wedding director, who will walk you through every fine detail of your day. I also recommend using their onsite florist, Lindy — her ideas and creations will stun you. Then they have an incredibly service-oriented wait staff that will make a delicious meal to impress your guests. No one will leave hungry, that’s for certain.

So with all of this talent, you’d expect to deal with some attitude, right? Not here. I’m actually sad the wedding planning is over because I’ll miss everyone we interacted with. Everyone was so incredibly friendly, to the point it felt like I was planning my wedding with my best friends. At every turn, they wanted to make sure we were happy with how things were shaping up and would bend over backwards to make it work. And that’s with them running several events each week! I just can’t get over how well they treated us, which is why I recommend this venue over others.

I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention that my wedding was a same-sex wedding. Honestly, we were a little nervous about getting married in a small town and that the staff might be a little cold. As I have hopefully conveyed, none of that was the case. They were thrilled to plan our wedding and at no point did we feel uncomfortable.

Carl House also works with many vendors, like photographers and DJs, that they can connect you with if you need. We needed to find a DJ last minute, and our wedding director, Nicole, connected us with a DJ service that really made our event come to life.

On the day of the wedding, they have timing down to a science. While Nicole was our wedding director through the planning process (and she’s amazing), she actually had a wedding to attend the day-of ours, so she wasn’t present. Indira was our back-up wedding planner. We literally met her the night before at our rehearsal, and as expected in the same vein as everything else, she was like a longtime friend helping us put on the finishing touches. She knew exactly what we wanted and how we wanted the day to go. On the day-of, she kept everything on time with perfect direction but at all times making sure we were ready to proceed — it was our day from the first moment. She was integral in making sure it worked perfectly.

I know there are great venues everywhere. But the value for the price we paid, the service we received, and the perfect wedding we had, I have to attribute most of that to the Carl House. I honestly couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else, and I highly recommend it to you for your special day.

The Carl House was beyond amazing and gave me and my husband the perfect wedding. We worked with both Nicole and Indira and they were both very easy to work with and made the entire process leading up to the big day as well as the day very stress-free. The staff was wonderful and helped everything go smoothly. They provided my husband and I with everything we needed, including water and hors d'oeuvres during pictures! The venue was absolutely gorgeous, which made everything even more special. We worked with Lindy for our flowers and decor, and she was wonderful! Everything looked so beautiful, from the aisle decorations to bouquets. Everything was perfect and gave us the perfect day to always look back on. We could not have asked for anything more perfect!

The Carl House is the perfect venue. From the moment we step inside to tour till the very last minute of our wedding reception we were treated like family. They went above and Beyond to make my wedding a unforgettable experience. Nicole is an amazing asset to this venue. She is attentive and knowledgeable. She was there the whole night and made my wedding seamless and easy. I cannot express my thanks to her, enough! Lindy the florist and her team took my ideas and made them a reality. It’s like she read my mind and gave me things I never knew I wanted. They are so very talented and I couldn’t have asked for better if I tried. They staff are so professional and efficient. The food is to die for! You cannot go wrong in booking this venue!! I almost wish I had another wedding to plan so I could use them again. I will recommend them to everyone and anyone who will listen!

Overview: Carl House is a full service, beautiful venue inside & out. They provide bar service, food/catering, waiters, and a coordinator in their package. They also have a florist (Lindy) that you can hire. They also have a list of suggested vendors for all your other needs.

Coordinator: We worked with Nicole and loved her! She is very experienced, will work with you to make sure your big day is how you imagined, and makes sure you have plenty of food! Most importantly it felt like she was on our side. In the months before the wedding, her organization and communication made you feel like she had everything under control. Day of, she was actively managing vendors, setup, and timelines, so we could focus on enjoying the big day!

Food/Drink: We went with the beef and chicken, roasted potatoes, and veggies for our menu. The food was delicious and they were willing to work with us to accommodate the gluten & dairy allergies we have in our families. We were very pleased with our dinner.

Florist: Lindy is their florist and was well worth hiring! I couldn’t believe how beautiful my bouquet, bridesmaids’ bouquets, boutonnieres, and table centerpieces turned out. She over-delivered in comparison to what I thought the flowers would look like.

Venue/Grounds: BEAUTIFUL! Old historic home that is gorgeous! The grounds have grassy areas, flowers, trees, gazebo, and more.

Carl House exceeded my expectations from the very first day I went to visit the venue. The price was great and the attention to detail was amazing. Thank you Debbie, Nicole, Lindy, and Indira- you made our day better than we imagined. You cannot go wrong by choosing Carl House, our guests are still talking about the beauty of the venue, flowers and how good the food was.

When we booked our wedding at Carl House, we had 17 months to wait. Carl House was the only venue we visited. The beauty of Carl House captivated us immediately. Not enough words to describe the beauty of the house. The staff was amazing. From Debbie with the tour and booking process. All of our questions were answered immediately. She was so easy to work with. Nicole, the wedding planner, was fantastic. She took care of everything. I had no idea where to begin to start with planning a wedding. Nicole and her team took care of everything. Anytime I emailed Nicole, she responded immediately. She took care of all my needs and requests. She made the process so painless and enjoyable. Lindy from floral took my breath away with my bouquet. It was the most beautiful bouquet ever. She way exceeded all of my expectations. All of the decorations were breathtaking. The food, most important, was delicious. Everything from the appetizers, sides, and main dishes- I highly recommend the pecan crusted chicken and gouda mac!!! Indera the day of was amazing. She made sure all of mine and Nick's needs were met. Carl House staff and team were so amazing. All of our requests were met immediately, no questions asked. Sherrie, the bridal party host, really made our night. She made sure us and all of our wedding party did not go hungry or thirsty. Overall, Carl House went above and beyond and exceeded every aspect of our wedding night. We had such a magical night and loved every second. We are so thankful for every person who made our night so magical. We received so many compliments from our guest.

There are not enough words to express how amazing it was to have chosen Carl House as my wedding venue. This was the first and only venue I toured. I knew from the moment I pulled up that I had to have this venue!! Everything was absolutely perfect and the whole Carl house staffed made sure of it. Having the food, alcohol, decorations, etc included made everything from planning to the day of totally stress free. Not to mention how many people have told me how AMAZING the food tasted! Lindy did an amazing job with my flowers and was a joy to work with. Nicole (coordinator) was my life savor as well. She was constantly on top of it and made me feel confident and comfortable throughout the day. She was quick to respond to all of our emails prior to the wedding and accommodated our needs and wishes perfectly. If I could do anything different, I wouldn’t change a thing!!

I don't even know where to begin!! Carl House was even more amazing than I had ever hoped for!! The house and grounds are beautiful and were the perfect setting for our special day! The fact that floral, decor and food are done in house eliminated so much stress. And all three were done amazingly! They put so much thought and time and attention into everything they do that I got to relax with the knowledge that it was handled. Love Carl House!! All that being said, I couldn't have made it through without Atlanta's best wedding coordinator by my side... Nicole is the most perfect and wonderful person. She is amazing!! Enough so that i would get divorced and do it all over again just to have her!! Lol j/k. My new husband and I love Carl House and all it's employee's. Hands down... if you are getting married, go to Carl House you will not be disappointed!

Carl House made our wedding dreams become reality! It was absolutely the best choice. And let me tell you that Nicole is AMAZING. Best day of coordinator in the business. She makes you feel important and valued every step of the way. My husband and I are so happy tha we went with Carl House for our venue. You will not regret it!! My husband and I were married at the Carl House mid-April, and we could not have asked for a more perfect wedding! The in-house florist, Lindy, created floral arrangements that were even more beautiful than the pictures I showed her, and the house was decorated in a way that completely surpassed my expectations! Our food for the evening was delicious – apple cider pork loin, squash casserole, and sweet potato soufflé. We worked with our wedding coordinator, Nicole, from the time we booked the Carl House up until our wedding day to make sure we were able to have our dream wedding. She worked constantly to make sure our entire evening went smoothly and was as stress-free as possible, and it absolutely was! We were told numerous times throughout the night that we “really raised the bar for weddings” and that it was “the best wedding they’ve ever been to,” so if you’re looking for a venue for your big day there is not a better place than the Carl House!!

I had my wedding at the Carl house this past weekend and everything was absolutely perfect! Nicole was my coordinator and she made sure I had everything I needed. The service and food was amazing and the beautiful venue sells itself. I would recommend to any upcoming bride!

We can’t say enough about the Carl House and how amazing our experience was. From the moment we toured the venue to the time we left the venue after our wedding day we have nothing but great things to say about our experience. Nicole was so great and she keep me (the bride) calm when I was having my moments. She assured me that everything was going to be great and it was. Our wedding was originally planned to be an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Due to consistent rain and stores the day of our wedding the ceremony had to be moved inside. I was not happy about having it inside at first but Nicole assured me that they would make it beautiful and it truly was. She was so professional and is so great at her job. I would recommend the Carl House to everyone looking for a great wedding venue. They really took great care of our wedding party the day of the wedding. The entire staff was very professional & it just made our wedding day PERFECT!

The best choice I made for my wedding was to be a Carl House bride! The Carl House's one-stop-shop facility made my wedding planning process a breeze, with my catering, floral, and even rehearsal dinner venue being all in one place. Nicole was always available for questions and was flexible with appointments.Since my wedding on 1-7-18 I have got nothing but complements from family and friends on how beautiful the venue, how delicious the food, and how attentive the staff was. I had absolutely no worries on my wedding day about something going rouge, because I knew the staff at the Carl House were pros. Denny as the Event Manager made sure that the "back-of-house" operations ran with out a hitch, and Nicole was always there to make sure I, my husband, and our bridal party was taken care of, and made sure the ceremony and reception was on time, and moving fluidly. My dream day was perfect, and one of my my best decisions about my wedding was choosing to have it at the Carl House.

We had our wedding at the Carl House. It was the best night of my life. the staff did an excellent job of creating the look I wanted. The wedding planner Nicole was absolutely wonderful. She was very helpful in making sure the night went perfect. I could not have asked for a better place to get married at. The florist did a wonderful job creating the flowers and making the place look gorgeous for our big day. The food there was absolutely delicious. Thank you to everyone where.

I absolutely have nothing but glowing reviews for the Carl House!! The venue itself is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The staff are amazing, experienced, warm, loving, responsive, and--did I say amazing yet? The Owner is kind and approachable; the Wedding Director is PHENOMENAL; the Chef is flexible and experienced; the staff is energetic and attentive; the Florist provided stunning arrangements; the china and silverware and glasses and anything related to food service were all beautiful. My reception could not have turned out any better, and far exceeded anything I ever hoped for. Our reception had the added stress of catering to two very different cultures, but it wasn't a problem for the Carl House. They bent over backwards to cater to my family's cultural needs and to seamlessly blend all of my unusual requests into a beautiful, perfect experience. Nicole (Wedding Director) and her staff paid attention to every detail, minor and major, and made it happen for us. If I had to pick one word to describe Nicole, it would be DEDICATED. She is dedicated to making your long-awaited day as beautiful, smooth, and stress-free as possible. And did I mention that the Carl House is astonishingly, breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL? Go and meet Nicole, take a tour, ask questions, and I promise that your heart will be as taken as mine was and still is!

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. Marrying a man in the US Navy made this wedding damn near impossible to plan, but Carl House and their team (especially my planner Nicole), made me feel like so much stress was taken off. Not only did we not know if our wedding was going to happen until 4 days before the wedding (due to my husbands service), but we had planned the entire ceremony for outside. Ga weather is so unpredictable and just two days before the wedding it was 80° and breezy. The day of our wedding? 35° and pouring rain. We had to move it inside with only hours to spare. They made sure it barely lifted a finger and made it look absolutely stunning. On my actual wedding day I was paired with Indira as our planner and she was a dream. Never didn't have a smile on her face and made sure my husband and I were more than taken care of. Absolutely delighted! Highly recommend!!

We selected Carl House for my daughter's wedding on Dec. 2, 2017. If there was any way to give them more than 5 stars, I would!! Every single member of their staff is friendly, professional, informative and SO easy to work with! They were able to guide us and give us excellent suggestions to help insure my daughter's wedding was everything she dreamed of! Everyone we worked with was so helpful and accommodating!
We used their in-house floral designer (Lindy) and could not have been more pleased! Having her there on site insured that everything was perfect. In knowing the layout of Carl House, she knew exactly what areas needed to be decorated - so there was no guesswork involved like there would have been had we used an outside vendor.
They have their own chef - which made it so easy. There were multiple (outstanding) selections available for entrees, sides, appetizers, etc... not just the usual standard choices I've seen offered at other venues. The food was absolutely delicious! I could go on and on...
The venue itself is a gem! It's elegance was breathtaking and their attention to detail and quality was first rate.
We needed quite a bit of 'hand holding', since my last experience with wedding planning was 36 years ago. I wanted my daughter's wedding to be perfect and they made sure it was!

Carl House was the perfect venue for our wedding! From day one the staff made everything so easy for us. They were extremely attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. All of our needs were exceeded on the day of our wedding. Lindy did an amazing job with the floral arrangements and decorations - it was stunning. Nicole and the staff at Carl House made it their priority to make sure that us and our guest were VERY well taken care of. Everything we asked for and needed was done promptly and with great care. I highly recommend choosing the Carl House for your wedding venue. Not only is the property absolutely beautiful on it's own, but the Carl House team is what make the Carl House worth every penny(and we found affordable too). I fell in love with the property of the Carl House in the beginning loving that you could have both ceremony and reception in one place. What I later found out was that the Carl House has their own wedding director, on site florist, and on site catering. I cannot even begin to explain all that the wedding director, Nicole Benson, did to make our wedding run smoothly. Not only did we get to meet with her several times before the big day to verify all details and schedule were exactly how we wanted them, but the day of our wedding went flawlessly thanks to Nicole. I don't know how she does it, but if you turned around in need, there was Nicole. She was amazing! The Carl House also has their own on-site florist, Lindy DeMarco. She met with us prior to the wedding and emailed back and forth answering my questions and when wedding day arrived, my flowers were EXACTLY the vision I had in my head. Absolutely stunning! She did bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, a large centerpiece for ceremony, and helped with all décor. We arranged to have Lindy and her team set up all décor for the tables and reception area and she delivered beautifully. The food was wonderful. I had folks asking us who the catering company was so they could use them for their events after the wedding! The Carl House team thought of it all- down to serving cups of water at the ceremony to our guests since it was hot while waiting. I am so thankful we chose the Carl House for our fairy tale wedding and would highly recommend them for your wedding! We chose the Carl House because the venue offered an all-inclusive option. We were busy and did not want too many details to manage ourselves. The house and grounds are beautiful. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Lindy's flower arrangements were gorgeous. She captured just what I described. Nicole and Indira were amazing. I wish I got our personal attendant's name because she was there at all the right times and so sweet. By the time the wedding is here, it feels like you have made several new friends! I had several compliments on the food also. The Carl House had a southern charm that I loved. It was the perfect wedding for us.

Carl House was an excellent place to have our wedding. We planned our wedding about 1 month before we got married. We originally were going to have a destination wedding that became too complicated, and Carl House accommodated us last minute. It was supposed to be an outdoor wedding, but rained every day last week. Indira was amazing.....she set up both an inside and outside location, and literally waited until 30 minutes prior to guests arriving to have to make the final call. Beautiful location!

We chose the Carl House because of their superior customer service! Everyone we worked with was wonderful and they took care of every detail. The wedding day was perfect- no complaints. All our guests were impressed and many commented that everyone should get married at the Carl House! We couldn't have asked for a better experience on our big day.

My husband and I chose the Carl House for our wedding venue for a couple of reasons. For starters, I grew up in the area, and passed the Carl House every day of my life on the way to and from school, and I always thought it was so beautiful. Then, after we toured this historic house, we knew it was the one for us. I love history and all things old and beautiful, and my husband loves the outdoors and natural things. So between the antique nature of the inside, plus the outdoor ceremony site and the gardens, this place was perfect.

From the start, we knew we had made the right decision. We were so lucky to have Nicole as our wedding coordinator, and she truly made the wedding planning experience so much easier and enjoyable as she was always there to answer my many many questions. The day of could not have been more smooth thanks to Nicole and her team, and the directions she gave.

Speaking of the team, I was just beyond blown away by the service of the Carl House. Every one of the workers there had smiles on their faces and they served our wedding guests to the fullest. During dinner they walked around and took our guests dishes when they were finished, and they went above and beyond to pass out our cupcakes (we allowed each of our guests to choose their own cupcakes, so it was more difficult for them to be passed out). There was even someone standing outside by the ceremony site passing out water to our guests who arrived early! Amazing!

The food was even better than it smelled too! We chose the pasta bar because I love pasta so much, and we were not disappointed! Those meatballs were the best I've ever had, and my husband loved the pesto sauce. There is always this joke that you will not eat at your own wedding because there is no time, but Nicole was not having that. She made sure that we were able to sit down and actually eat the delicious food that we chose.

I think I could write a book about our wedding experience and how amazing that it was!

We are so happy we chose Carl House for our venue! Our family and friends were blown away by how beautiful it was and kept talking about the flowers and the food. Nicole, the Wedding Director, was very helpful throughout the process and made everything run smoothly. One of the awesome things about Carl House is that you get a 90 day and 30 day planning meeting (most venues just do 3 weeks out and our Wedding Planner was extremely impressed by this) which means that there are no surprised the day of and Nicole knows exactly what you want. Really, the level of professionalism and service was wonderful and the price was extremely affordable. We are so happy we chose Carl House!

I cannot express how wonderful it was to have my wedding at the Carl House. When my husband and I were first looking for a venue for our wedding, we were set on going to another place UNTIL we visited the Carl House. We were blown away by their customer service, and we knew that this was where we wanted to have our reception.

Our wedding director, Nicole, was a life savor! She was easy to talk to and made the whole wedding process stress free. The Carl House was a perfect fairytale wedding! I had an August wedding, and the staff was very professional and so helpful. I can not say enough words about how perfect everything was.

We decided on August 1st were wanted to be married this Oct, two weeks later we were engaged, had a venue, dress and plan. I can not tell you how easy The Carl House made our wedding of 100 on a budget of 14k. It was a tight budget, but we wanted to pay for the wedding ourselves.

We started looking for a venue on a Tuesday and spent the weekend on venue appointments. At the end of the weekend we were narrowed to two very different locations, the Carl House and a warehouse. The decision became easy when we took a drive and visited them back to back.

The Carl House offered all in house vendors, saving me the time and headache of having to organize, coordinate and blend different types of vendors to one wedding plan. The packages saved the unneeded hassle of coming back around to a venue and caterer to select set up and food. In a meeting that lasted less than two hours, we had a venue, menu, flowers, table setup, agenda, cocktail hour and coordinator all arranged. From there we selected invitations, seating cards, honeymoon, DJ, Photographer, Videographer, and cake.

I've never been married before, but the Carl House and especially Nicole make it a breeze. We have a friend that is a wedding coordinator at a competitor and she complemented us on how lovely and seemless the event was.

The Venue is amazing. Gorgeous and I highly recommend you book your Wedding here. Service is great. As the bride we had an open bar and they made sure my husband and I were taken care of first and anything we wanted they had it to us in a matter of minutes. We had the Southern Comfort menu and the food was amazing! I wish I could have taken some home with me. We also did the chocolate fountain and that was a huge hit along with the photo booth. I couldn't have asked for a better night. Thank you again Carl House for making my wedding one to remember.

First of all, I have to say that my wedding was absolutely perfect!! From the weather to the venue, I couldn't have asked for a better day. If you are searching for a venue that will LITERALLY give you a fairytale wedding look no further. The Carl house worked with my needs and wants every step of the way. We began planning in February of 2015 for our wedding on May 21st 2016. There was never a time that the staff did not go the extra mile to makes sure my wants were met at 100%. Their on site chef is a genius and the food is still being raved about by our guests. The on site florist Lindy is a true artist and worked with our budget and still delivered the most stunning arrangements I have ever seen.

If you are able to request a wedding coordinator from their staff please do yourself a favor and request Nicole. This woman was working with an injured foot all night long making sure everything was absolutely perfect that day. She is like part of our family now and we are forever grateful we had the privilege to work with her through the entire process.

And lastly, BB Webb the owner of the Carl House is a one of a kind gem! She personally made sure she was there at not only the wedding festivities but also and our planning sessions. She made sure no stone was left unturned and that my husband, family, guests, and myself had a 10 star experience.

We had our wedding at Carl House on April 2nd, 2016. It was absolutely amazing! The Carl House was beautifully decorated, and food was amazing!! This a the perfect place for a charming, southern wedding! The Carl House is down the road from my grandparent's house in Auburn, GA, so I grew up seeing the Carl House as a magical place where parties happen. To have my wedding there was really a dream come true. The staff are all so friendly, professional, and very accommodating. I highly recommend this place as a great venue for a wedding near Atlanta.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Carl House earlier this month, and it couldn't have been more wonderful! The house and the grounds are absolutely stunning, and with the house decorated for the holidays, everything was perfectly elegant for our evening wedding. The whole Carl House staff was amazing! Hello Readers, Just to let you know a little about myself. I am the bride of this recent event. When starting this journey I was finishing up my last year of professional school, so my schedule was a little crazy to say the least. I researched and researched ......and researched multiple venues to have my dream wedding. I thought it was going to blow my budget.... but Carl House was very good about helping me decide what I really wanted/needed so that i could have the dream wedding that I wanted that also fit within my budget. Also, they were really good about working with my busy schedule! So as you already know I booked my wedding date with Carl House. But the great things do not end just yet.... If you book with Carl House, they have a list of amazing vendors that are just as fabulous. I researched every vendor myself inside and outside of Carl House recommendations. My other recommendation to you is to book their Florist Lindy! She made the vision of the flowers and decor of my wedding so much better that I could image. I would not have changed a single thing. Lastly, I need you to know about Carl House's Amazing Wedding Coordinator Nicole! The day of my wedding, when I say it poured..... IT POURED!!! Nicole help make every decision I made so stress free! Once we laid eyes on Carl House, my husband and I knew immediately that this was the perfect venue to hold our intimate, classic vintage themed wedding! Not only were the grounds and venue beautiful, the Carl House staff were an ABSOLUTE pleasure to work with as we planned our special day. Through the entire planning process and the day of, they were very responsive, thorough, accommodating, professional, AND patient (with all of our questions). As a result, we felt very confident in Carl House's ability to deliver. Nicole and the staff had a genuine desire to make the wedding of my dreams a reality. The grounds were beautiful, food plentiful and delicious. The Carl House exceeded our expectations in every way. The setting is simply beautiful both inside and out. The gardens are pretty any time of year, and the ballroom is always classy and elegant. The dressing rooms are nicer than most suites at anyone's home.

Our guests raved about the food, and a number of them even wanted to know if they served meals on "off days". The Honey Pecan Crusted Chicken is outstanding! The potatotini bar was a big hit. Everyone enjoyed getting goofy in the Photo Booth, and we have all those memories.

We especially appreciated all the work that out wedding director, Nicole, provided. She took care of so many details that we sometimes didn't even think about needing. This included where to place photos and decorations to the order of the wedding party to giving cues to the DJ.

Thanks to the Carl House our daughter thought her wedding was perfect in every way, and she could not have asked for anything more.

If you are looking for a venue near the Athens/Winder area, you must put the Carl House on your list to visit.

All of the staff was so helpful and friendly and truly help you celebrate the start of your marriage in a way that is perfect and fitting for you and your spouse. The house itself is gorgeous and the gardens and grounds have wonderful spots for pictures!!

I have always heard good things about the Carl House when it came to the actual house and the beauty of the grounds. Even in December when me and my fiance (at the time) went to view the venue, I was amazed with its beauty. So, I knew that on my wedding day I would not be disappointed with "appearances". I also was in love with the pictures of the Carl House floral. I was blown away on my wedding day. Lindy, the floral director, was amazing. She did a fantastic job. I could have not asked for anything different. THE STAFF WAS AMAZING. Our wedding director Nicole was so sweet and always on point. She was available whenever I needed her and was a great guide during the entire process. The food was wonderful. The chef will change the flavoring to whatever you would like (spicier, etc.). I truly felt like a princess on my wedding day because the Carl House staff waited on us hand and foot. It was an amazing experience and the Best Day Ever! Cheers to happily ever after!

I can NOT begin to say enough WONDERFUL things about Carl House! Once I saw the beautiful double stair case, I knew this was place where our fairy tale wedding would take place. The grounds, reception hall, the house, really every aspect is absolutely breathtaking. Nicole, the head wedding planner, made our day so stress free that we were able to enjoy every aspect of our special day! She and her team at Carl House took care of every detail. Lindy, head of floral, made all of our flower arrangements, bouquets, and boutonnieres. All of the flowers were exquisite. They added so much beautiful color to our ceremony and reception. All of the staff at Carl House worked flawlessly together and helped my husband Dustin and I to have the best day ever! I highly recommend Carl House to any bride who is looking for a romantic fairy tale!

I really can't say enough good things about the Carl House. My wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The food was awesome and the entire staff was just great from start to finish. I DIYed my wedding like crazy, creating and buying a lot of my own decor and the Carl House staff was totally no problem with all my ideas. Special thanks to Nicole Benson, she is awesome and I felt like she made it her personal mission to make sure my wedding went smoothly! Also Lindy Marco, the sweetest lady on the planet and a beyond talented florist. She created this gorgeous floral wreath for the grand staircase. It literally took my breathe away and she just went above and beyond to help me set up decor. I thought maybe she would just help place fans on the outdoor seating, but when me and my bridesmaids came in, EVERYTHING was done. It was like a magical wedding fairy came in and brought my vision to life! Very pleased with my entire experience!

Our experience at the Carl House was spectacular. Everyone was a joy to work with and they made it so easy for my mom and I to plan my special day. Nicole was spectacular and always knew the answer to every question and was more than willing to answer anything I had to ask. Lindy made the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. The food was spectacular and so was the service on my wedding day. The team is so upbeat & positive. BB (the owner) was even around during my wedding and she was an extreme joy to be around too. I cannot say enough positive things about the place. The grounds are GORGEOUS if you want to take pictures outside and it was very conducive to a large wedding party. My wedding ended up having around 150 guests and it was a perfect fit for the reception. Thank you again to the entire Carl House staff for making my wedding so perfect! I will definitely recommend your venue to future Brides!

A wedding is stressful enough without adding in all the outside opinions and changes in plans (that are not your idea), but working with Nicole Benson and The Carl House made my perfect day that much easier. Nicole was by my side the entire time and always available to me if I needed her. On the wedding day she made everything run smoothly. What this wedding showed me is that I am a bit of a control freak (I would usually like to do everything on my own, so I know it's done right), but Nicole made me feel totally comfortable letting go of that control and allowing her to take the reins. I had complete trust in her, and for good reason. I don't how she pulled it off, but the night was seamless. The rain even held off so we could do the ceremony outside, which is gorgeous! The reason I picked this place though was that, even if it had been inside, it would have been just as beautiful. The inside is GORGEOUS! The staff that was serving everyone was great and very attentive. I didn't get to meet her, but my guests had raving reviews for the bartender, they said she was hilarious. Lindy and her team provided the flowers and I can't say enough wonderful things about them either. There was no stress there, she was quick to respond to any questions I had. The flowers were everything I dreamed of and more. She really listened to what I wanted and more than delivered. She is also there to set up centerpieces, which was another thing I didn't have to worry about because she did a fabulous job. Overall, I can't say enough good things about this venue. Everything was perfect and WHEN you pick them you will be in excellent hands.

This was the first and only venue we visited for our wedding! We absolutely fell in love with the elegant, rustic feel the Carl House offers. Inside and out this place is breathtakingly beautiful, and it is also fantastically affordable! Catering and florals are onsite, which were HUGE stress relievers, and the whole team is involved in making your day perfect! We could not have asked for a better venue.

Carl House was wonderful from day one. They made our BIG DAY run smooth from start to finish and I never had to worry if something was done to my liking. The food, beverages, and decor were all outstanding and all of my guests received exceptional service from all of the members of the Carl House team. It is such a beautiful venue and all of their recommended vendors were wonderful. Carl House was the absolute perfect wedding venue. From start to finish, our wedding last May was a fairytale. It went off without a hitch (that I know of) and the staff is fully to thank for this. Our wedding planner was wonderful and stayed completely on top of things before and during the big day. The staff was so helpful and made sure my new husband and I stayed fed and happy throughout the night. Our guests raved about the food and the venue itself (and still do...almost a year later). We used the in house florist, Lindy and were in love with the arrangements she created (even with our limited budget). Everyone was so friendly and accommodating from start to finish and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I couldn't be more pleased with how my big day went at the Carl House!! From the food, to the service, everything was 100 percent what I wanted. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and were so helpful and made the day run smooth as silk. It was beautiful inside and out! We had an indoor ceremony and it was beautiful and the staff flipped the ballroom in a very reasonable amount of time for the reception. Most of all, I'd like to mention the on site coordinator, Nicole! She was the absolute best part of my experience at the Carl House and made sure everything was just right behind the scenes. I don't know what I would have done without her. I would recommend the Carl House to anyone looking to have their big day there. They are professional, easy to work with, and have a beautiful campus. I loved it!

Everything was great – from the venue, to the food, to the service we received. The venue is gorgeous, has outdoor or indoor ceremony space. We did indoor. It has a beautiful mezzanine (I walked down the stairs to the aisle, and we had dinner upstairs with bridal party and close family – very intimate). Our guests raved about the food, everything was delicious! The wedding coordinator was awesome – she was always quick to respond to all of my questions, even near the end, when I was probably a not-so-fun-to-work-with stressed-out Bride(zilla). She was great the day of too – gathering our things from the rooms, which we may have left otherwise. We paid for our entire wedding ourselves, and this venue allowed us the day of our dreams. SO fairly priced for what you get!! Ceremony, Reception, Dinner, cocktail hour and hordervs, beer and wine, and a photo booth! To this day, there are friends and family members that tell us our wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings they have attended. I’d highly recommend this venue to anyone!!

This venue was love at first sight. From the moment we drove up we knew we wanted to be married here. The venue is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. Coming down the staircase has always been my idea of a dream wedding entrance and the Carl house made this possible. The private bridal and groom suites that we used before the wedding were perfect. My husband and I truly loved our experience with the Carl House. Everything about our special day was perfect because of the extraordinary team at the venue. Nicole, our wedding director, made us feel at ease as she took care of every last detail for us. She was always available to answer questions before the event, and she stayed with us through the rehearsal and wedding day to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. The venue itself was beautiful for the wedding. Our wedding was in December, and the decorations for Christmas were so elegant. The ballroom where the ceremony and reception took place was so wonderful as well, and no other indoor ceremony space could compare. The double staircase entrance is so unique to the venue and provides the bride with a regal grand entrance to the ceremony that won't be easily forgotten. In addition to the beautiful estate and wedding director, Lindy, the florist, is amazing at what she does and she works diligently to go beyond your expectations without breaking the bank. The catering is great as well, as all of our food was excellent. The entire night was more than I could have ever asked for.

Choosing Carl House for our reception venue was the best decision I made regarding the reception. Not only is the site beautiful, elegant, and charming, but the staff is fantastic as well. Nicole made the entire event run smoothly and made sure every detail of the evening was taken care of. Lindy, the in-house florist, is absolutely amazing as well. Our flowers were more perfect than I could have ever envisioned. The food was also exceptional! Our event was held in December so the house was decorated for Christmas, which was absolutely stunning! I highly recommend using the Carl House for any special event!

The Carl House was the perfect wedding venue for us! The lawn was kept up beautifully, and allowed for a beautiful ceremony site. Nicole was absolutely amazing, and made me feel at ease on my wedding day. She took all the stress off my shoulders and made the planning process easy for us, especially since we have busy schedules. The Carl House is so beautiful inside, minimal decor is needed. The wood work throughout the house is lovely and the ballroom is spectacular!

Our wedding at the Carl House was simply perfect! The Carl House staff were amazing to work with leading up to our wedding and the day of. They were attentive to every detail and made the day go by as smoothly as possible. On the big day, Nicole (their in-house coordinator) was on top of everything. She worked with our outside vendors including the large band and photographer to get them all set. The whole time, she made sure everything went perfectly so I didn't have to worry about it. Everyone says your wedding day is a blur, but I remember every detail of mine because I did not have to worry about the small things. Nicole made sure everyone got to the buffet, that the band played at the right time, that speeches and toasts were made, and that guests knew where to go for cocktail hour. She made sure our bags were packed into the limo at the end of the night. She made sure that we had a chance to eat our dinner without everyone crowding the bridal table. The Carl House staff took such great care of the whole bridal party. They brought us drinks and some of the appetizers while we were taking pictures so that we would not miss out on the amazing food. They had one person who took care of just my husband and I the whole night. And, the food was amazing! All of our guests said the food was great. We also held our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at the Carl House, which was also perfect. Anna, the events manager, worked with us to make sure that the ballroom had completely different setups and feelings for both days so that our family and bridal party did not feel that they were having the same dinner experience twice. And again, the food was wicked awesome! I could go on and on about how wonderful the Carl House staff and Nicole were. Everything was perfect and I would not have changed a thing. It was the wedding my husband and I pictured it to be and we were not stressed at all the whole day.

Carl House provided off-site catering for my wedding for 130 guests on October 4th. From the very beginning of my experience with them, they were the perfect mix of professionalism and kindness. BB and Kimberly couldn't have been more helpful and made the entire process as painless as possible. We had the perfect September wedding at Carl House! Not only is the venue absolutely breathtaking inside and out, but it's actually a very affordable venue. Included in the price is a wedding planner, who meets with you 90 days prior, 3 weeks prior and is with you during the rehearsal and during your entire wedding. The Carl House staff, especially our wedding planner Nicole, were absolutely amazing! They made sure the event ran seamlessly and treated our family and friends with so much kindness and professionalism. I received so many compliments on my wedding - especially the food!
