Stunning, True-to-Life Photos We’ll Cherish Forever
We couldn’t be happier with our wedding photographers, Captures by Justine! From our engagement photos to the rehearsal dinner and wedding day, every moment was captured beautifully. and they did an incredible job of capturing the richness and diversity of our skin tones. Their communication, quality, and professionalism were outstanding, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. These images are memories we will cherish forever. We found our photographer through Baltimore Weds Magazine’s Black-owned wedding vendors list, and they exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for stunning, timeless photos. -

Justine's work is incredible! Her photography business came highly recommended by at least three of my friends who book sessions with her regularly. Weddings, friend photo shoots, engagement photos, family photos: all of her pictures are always so beautiful.
Justine met with my husband and I before the wedding to ensure she knew exactly what we were looking for. She asked important questions and made sure that she tailored her work specifically for us. During the wedding, she checked in with me to see if I needed anything. Afterward, she kept in touch with us about timeline and even sent us a preview!
The final package was breathtaking. Justine delivered our digital photos in a beautiful, customized box with our wedding date engraved on it. It included several print outs and some super fun Polaroids. The photos captured our beautiful fall day with lush colors and perfect poses. I'm smiling just thinking about them!!! I am so grateful to have these gorgeous photos which I look at and admire every day.

An absolute dream
I have know Justine for years, and was so excited to book her for our engagement and wedding photos. As soon as we booked her, I knew it was going to be an incredible and stress free part of our big day. She is organized and made planning a breeze. On top of that, she is so much fun and easy to work with! She made us both feel so comfortable.
All of the pictures are so dreamy, and really captured our wedding night perfectly. Every time I look at them, I feel so lucky to have had such a wonderful and talented photographer.

Stupendous, sensational, captivating!
We have known Justine as an existing client couple for a few years now, and have been previously photographed by her. Justine is always one upping herself each session, from various poses, to different lighting techniques utilized to get the best photos possible for our wedding day. We were married in a courthouse building mainly covered in glass windows, producing excellent lighting. Justine, and her co-photographer husband Michael, work so well together and really know how to maintain multiple bodies for large group photos. Everything we requested was met and even more! We have never looked SO amazing, and could not be more grateful to have found such a lovely gifted human, who we gladly now call friend! All future photography needs will only be fulfilled through “Captures by Justine”! Couldn’t recommend a better photographer 12/10!!! -

Justine captured our day perfectly
There was no question when I got engaged who was doing my wedding pictures! Justine makes you feel comfortable as you are shooting and has captured some of our most favorite moments. I love the pops of color and even edited you get the real picture. I am so thankful she traveled to shoot our wedding and would def recommend to anyone looking for a photographer for any event! Summer Wedding
Justine and her husband Michael were fantastic to work with for our wedding! They were extremely organized and responsive to all our questions. We were lucky enough to also have Justine available for our engagement photos and they turned out beautifully! She has a great eye for details and color, and is always trying to find new elements to make the shots more interesting. We had a very vibrant and eclectic wedding with a large group and the pictures all turned out fabulous! Justine and Michael are both very thoughtful and kind when it comes to getting wedding party and family shots, and made sure everyone was comfortable and looked their best. We couldn't recommend Justine enough, she is an extremely talented woman and our wedding wouldn't have been the same without her! -

Easy to work with, loved the results!
Justine was the perfect photographer for my husband and I! We were looking for someone within our price range that had the right aesthetic for our wedding. We thought Justine was the perfect fit, and it turns out, she was! She was very easy to communicate with and very prompt to respond to our questions. She asked us questions to address things we would have never thought of. In other words, she is experienced and knows how to ease any concerns or stress a couple may have. I absolutely love all the photos we got from Justine! She got us our preview shots within a few days and ALL of our photos in two weeks. My friend who got married months before still does not have her photos. Justine also took a variety of polaroids to give to us, which was a lovely touch. Overall, from beginning, day of, and after the wedding, Justine has been amazing. -

Hiring Captures by Justine to capture our wedding was the best decision we could have made! After looking at various photographers, Justine's aesthetic nailed down exactly what we were looking for. Once we had our initial consultation, I just knew she was going to be the perfect addition to our wedding day! Justine was responsive and helped ensure that we didn't forget any of our photography needs on our day. As someone who doesn't normally take pictures, Justine made me and my husband feel so comfortable in front of the camera. To top it off, we received polaroids at the end of the night so we had some photos to go home with. Once our full gallery was complete, Justine went above and beyond by sending us a customized box and USB, with some extra treats inside. I would definitely hire her again and again! -

Beautiful photos and calming presence
My husband and I used Justine and Michael for our wedding at the American Visionary Arts Museum in April 2022. We initially hired Captures by Justine in 2019 prior to the pandemic. Justine was flexible, caring, and communicative throughout the whole process of rescheduling. On the actual wedding day, my husband and I were both pretty overwhelmed as our wedding was big and the weekend was jam-packed. Justine and Michael brought a sense of calm and a sense of humor; it felt like they were just two more friends sharing the day with us and definitely helped put us at ease. The photos themselves came out great; we look good, but the photos are very genuine and natural, not posed or staged. I am not particularly photogenic and get very insecure around a camera, and Justine worked magic to get great shots. I enthusiastically recommend Captures by Justine for a wedding day or any other photo occasion. -

I have had the pleasure of working with Justine throughout the past few years for different events. She took photos for our engagement, 10 year anniversary, and wedding. I found her on Instagram originally and loved the quality of her work. Upon contacting her, she was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable with her during our first zoom call. Before our first photoshoot, my husband and I were so worried about feeling uncomfortable taking photos but that instantly changed once we started our session with Justine. She felt like someone we've known for decades and she instantly made us feel at ease. From our first experience, we knew that we wanted to continue to work with her . We recently had our wedding in August and once again she crushed it and blew us away when saw the photos. She captured every moment, even the unexpected ones. Her professionalism is unmatched with her arriving on time consistently, working well with all our guests and vendors, while being warm and friendly. Justine was extremely easy to work with and made wedding photography very relaxed and comfortable for my husband and me-- especially important during COVID times!
Justine was very organized and good at responding. Most importantly, her pictures were incredible! It was important for us to capture the personality and vibe of the the wedding guests. I feel like she did that perfectly and we will cherish the pictures forever.
Justine exceeded my expectations and was a true professional throughout. I loved that she has a Polaroid option where she switched to using an instant Polaroid camera at times and then we were able to give the polaroids to guests as the giveaway item.
Several of our guests commented on how much they liked Justine. You can tell she really loves what she does and she truthfully felt like one of our guests. She's worth every penny and I'm an extremely frugal person! -

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Seriously book her NOW!
Finding Justine as our photographer for our wedding was the BEST thing that happened to us the entire wedding process. (Michael is the perfect bonus too!!!) Finding a photographer who was truly inclusive to the LGBTQ+ community for my wife and myself was unfortunately harder than you would think, and when we found Justine we knew pretty much instantly that she was it! She was so helpful during the entire planning process and helped with some timeline stuff for the day of as well. Covid ruined a lot of things on our wedding day and Justine and Michael made sure that we had everything we needed to be as happy as possible all day long (which honestly is above and beyond for a photographer!!!). I could literally write a book about our positive experience with her (and him) but I’m going to leave it at just BOOK HER NOW. Plus the value of what you get from her for the price is divine. -

Justine recently photographed our April wedding. From the start of my wedding planning to weeks after the event, Justine remained professional, prompt and friendly in all of her interactions with me :) When you are a busy/stressed bride this is exactly the type of positive energy you want around you. In addition to her wonderful personality, our engagement photos and wedding photos turned out beautiful!! They were absolutely perfect and we were very happy with the finished product. Justine's husband also works the events with her and this was so beneficial, as she was able to capture 'getting ready' moments in the bridal suite, while he captured 'getting ready' moments in the grooms suite. We felt like every special moment was truly captured and we are so grateful to be able to look back and see all our precious memories in photograph form. We highly recommend!! -

Justine is an amazing photographer and a great person. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease during both our engagement shoot and our wedding day. She has a documentary style of photography, so she really captures your essence on film! She also gives you a set of polaroids after each session so you have something tangible to take home with you, which, as a 90's kid, I loved so much! To start off, I've known Justine for over 10 years now, as we studied photography together in our bachelor's program! So when it came time to pick my wedding photographer, there was literally no question about who it was going to be. Justine made all communicating and planning extremely easy, and is a breeze to work with. After giving her time and location details, she got all travel booked immediately so I never had to worry about her getting to the wedding (she traveled from Maryland to Florida for us!) I cannot even begin to describe how much I love our wedding images; they're a million times more than what I could have ever expected. If you're looking for a laid back, on top of her game, fun to work with photographer, Justine is your woman. Also, she makes for a REALLY awesome impromptu bouncer, if needed :) -

Florida Yacht Wedding
My wife and I got married on a Yacht in Clearwater Beach, FL on 1/26/20. Not only was our weather perfect, food perfect, and guest list perfect... our choice of photographer perfect. We stumbled upon Justine while doing our reach and instantly fell in love with her work. We loved the way the colors in the photos popped and she seems to have a great eye for capturing the perfect moments. We couldn’t have been more right. Justine was extremely pleasant to work with and accommodating, even flying all the way from MD to shoot our wedding. She kindly asked us to skype with her first so she could feel out what our wedding theme was and took the time to ask what specific photos we wanted. On our wedding day, Justine arrived on time, enthusiastic, & seemed genuinely happy to be there. She captured every special moment of the day & was even extremely patient while our friends and family tried to take photos of their own. Not only did we hire a fantastic photographer but we also feel like we made a friend. We couldn’t speak anymore highly of her and completely recommend Justine to anyone looking for a photographer. -

Took All the Stress Out of Planning! HIRE HER.
Hire Justine. I was a "bad bride"--no idea what I was doing, not sure how weddings work, and very nervous. Justine helpful from the jump, from talking us through posing in our engagement shoot to thinking proactively about photos we would need. The final products are exquisite, and every step of the way she was responsive, positive, thoughtful, and efficient. The photos are stunning, but my favorite thing about them is that we all look like our selves. Justine really captures the personality of her subjects and the joy of the day. She pays close attention to the details. AND a bunch of my guests came at her with questions and photo requests and she took that in stride too! If you want to have a wide selection of posed and candids and a smooth, serene experience, Justine is the person to capture your day. -

Justine the Ninja!
Justine is amazing! She was super flexible and accommodating the day of the wedding. Shockingly we were ahead of schedule and she did some impromptu photos at our hotel. Justine had preview photos to us just days after the wedding. And just a couple weeks after the wedding we had all of our photos. We were so impressed with how quickly she got our photos to us during the busiest time of year for her. My husband called Justine a ninja! You had no idea where she was but she got every photo! We would totally recommend her for your wedding photos! -

Justine is an absolute treasure. We did three shoots together before the wedding, and she and her husband photographed our wedding day. We are absolutely in LOVE with our photos - they are everything I could have ever asked for in pictures of my wedding day. Justine is so sweet, creative, and talented, and having her husband on hand as a second shooter means we didn't miss a single moment and my husband and I were able to avoid each other pre-ceremony while still taking photos and capturing the joy of being with our friends and family. Justine's style has a great mix of poses and candid snaps of letting things happen, which was perfect for us. Some of my favorite photos are those in which we were all just goofing around and she caught magic. She incorporated many thoughtful touches, photographing details and sending us a BEAUTIFUL engraved box and thumb drive of our photos when they were done, plus we had sneak peeks within DAYS, and our photos were in our hands in just two weeks from our wedding (!!!). I would recommend Justine to anyone in a heartbeat and look forward to finding a reason to work with her again soon! -

Justine (and Michael!) are amazing!! We loved working with them for our engagement shoot and wedding day. They made us feel so comfortable during the shoot and were very flexible with everything. We also loved the polaroids.

Justine is absolutely incredible. Her photography style perfectly documented our day and she was amazing to work with.
We had our engagement session with Justine in fed hill, Baltimore and we immediately knew we made the right choice. Justine was very flexible with scheduling and was able to get us in quickly-- we wanted to use the pictures for our Save the Dates. Neither of us had ever been professionally photographed before and Justine made us feel so comfortable-- and our pictures turned out perfect! Within a week of our shoot we had our full gallery back and were able to order our save the date post cards!
By the time our wedding came around in August, we felt like Justine was one of our good friends. She knew exactly what she was doing and was super flexible even when I threw a bunch of last minute request shots her way the day-of. We got our full digital wedding album within 2 weeks of our big day, and shortly after received a beautiful custom wooden box with Polaroids and various prints as well! It was such a beautiful touch to working with her. Our pictures turned out absolutely, hands down, incredibly perfect and she deserves all the credit.

I had FOUR different sessions with Justine - Engagement photos, mini home session with our puppies, boudoir shoot, and our wedding. She is so friendly, very responsive to questions, and made us (and our guests) feel so comfortable. Justine really listened to my concerns, even when it may be irrational and did her best to meet my expectations. She is super fun and creative when it comes to the shoots and does a great job capturing romantic, airy pictures, which I LOVE. Being a nervous, awkward person, the only suggestion I would have would be to come up with an idea of what kind of poses you like before the sessions. I hope to see Justine again for holiday shoots, maternity shoots, newborn, etc.! -

Incredible!
Justine was absolutely fantastic to work with, she helped make our wedding day a dream. She is so sweet and fun to talk to and I thought it was important for me to "click" with our photographer as they have such an important job the day of the wedding. We were having trouble finding a photographer within our budget especially because we started planning the wedding only two months before the big day and we were lucky enough that she was available and right within our budget. We have a very large family and had tons of family portraits with multiple combinations and with the help of her husband they captured all of them. Justine was right that the family photos would be the most stressful part of the day and she was right but her and her husband kept me sane and made it much more bearable despite it being very chaotic. She got us our preview photos in less than a week and they are so beautiful I feel like we belong in a wedding magazine. I am so excited to see the rest of our photos as I can only imagine how stunning they will look. Thank you Justine for being better than I could've ever asked for!!! -

Justine is amazing.
Justine shot our small intimate ceremony in Washington DC. I know of two other weddings she’s shot and I knew I wanted her to capture our special day. We got married in the middle of the afternoon on a Thursday and it wasn’t a problem for Justine! She responsiveness and flexibility were amazing as well. I’m very uncomfortable getting my picture taken but she made me feel SO comfortable. Her and her husband had us laughing the entire time. There wasn’t one single picture we didn’t absolutely love. I can’t recommend her enough - I look forward to having her capture other big life moments in the future. -

Photographer who cares about her clients and loves what she does
If you are looking for a wedding photographer, you have found her! Justine (and Michael if you are lucky enough to get him, too!) is a fantastic photographer! During the ceremony, I didn't need to worry at all because Justine was capturing every important part of the ceremony that my husband and I now hold as forever memories. And afterwards during the family and bridal party photoshoots she made sure to capture nice photos without making us pose or stop having fun. We were able to fully enjoy our first moments as a married couple and have them captured in beautiful photos. She works with your budget and makes sure to capture the parts of your day that you ask her to. My husband and I joke about what we would do better next time if we got married all over again. Justine is one of the things we would absolutely not change about our wedding! Thanks Justine! -

My husband and I got married in Key West (she will literally travel anywhere!), and before we found Justine, we were both frustrated with the insane price of most photography packages from local photographers. Plus, many of them had quite a few restrictions on obtaining photographs after the events. The first time I saw Justine's work, I was convinced that she too would be out of our price range. So not the case! We hired Justine, and she was so communicative and easy going. She truly lets you take the reigns, but is there to provide guidance when you need it. We didn't meet in person until the day of. She photographed our wedding with her husband Micheal (who is also incredible), and everything was so perfect! We had a massive wedding party, and she couldn't have been more patient. Everything was so relaxed that taking all of the pictures before the ceremony was actually fun - not stressful at all! Micheal was also taking polaroids all night and handing them out to guests (which our guests LOVED btw). After the wedding, we got ALL 450+ of our pictures back in 2 weeks via dropbox! So easy! When I saw them, I instantly started crying. All of these pictures are so full of emotion and feel so real. My husband and I will truly cherish these forever, and I will continuously recommend Captures by Justine to any couple! -

She was always quick to respond to me throughout the planning process, she showed enthusiasm about shooting our wedding, and best of all she produced amazing photos that were available to us within 2 weeks. She even sent a package with many free prints, Polaroid shots taken throughout the event, and a personalized usb with all our photos. She has done both my wedding and my sister’s and I’ve been impressed by the results and pleased with the afforadable pricing offered as well!

She was extremely responsive, very helpful, and so patient with my ten million questions. Our engagement session was SO MUCH fun. She was very accommodating when we had a big snafu and had to change venues, requiring some additional paperwork for her. She was also an amazing wedding guest, and just seamlessly blended in with everyone. The polaroids are an adorable addition to her work that just feel like a wonderful bonus. And of course, her photos are just incredible. She gave us our previews and full album VERY quickly. We get SOOOOOO many compliments on our pictures. When I tell people familiar with wedding photography pricing how much we paid, they are absolutely astounded by the quality for the price. Do not even for a second hesitate to hire her!!

Bianca Sent on 06/05/2018I've been following Justine on instagram for so long, as soon as my fiance proposed I knew exactly who I was going to hire to take our wedding photos! She was so flexible (we had to change our plans 3 times because of weather) and just a great energy to have around the day of. The photos came out so beautiful, and she captured the most special moments--especially the ones of us with our grandparents. When we received out preview photos (in 4 days we had like 70 images!) each one brought tears to my eyes! They are truly photos we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Lauren Sent on 09/16/2016I'm completely in love. Justine was the photographer for my wedding and I'm so glad I picked her. She was unbelievably sweet, flexible and also unobtrusive. She's so responsive, reasonably priced and her turnaround time is unbelievable. Many times I would email her and would get a response 2 minutes later, unreal! Her photos are so cheery and looking at them makes you smile. Everyone loved the Polaroids that were a part of her package, such a fun addition. Highly recommended!
Note: You get a ton of images, and not all are edited. Also, you might want to give some direction in terms of the types of photos you want especially with family photos and posed photos. Great overall though! -

I cannot say enough good things about Justine. She captured my pre wedding boudoir session as well as wedding to my husband and every experience was amazing. My favorite thing about Justine is she embraces who you are and your story and finds creative ways to create her art. Fantastic Photographer
Justine and I had a meeting before the wedding to review my needs and expectations for the wedding. She was able to meet me at an air bnb location days before the wedding. She accommodated any last minute changes with ease. Her husband was at the hotel where my husband was getting ready. Justine was in my budget and she captured all the beautiful moments. -
