Reasonably priced, timely, enjoyable to work with

Kate from Captivating Imagery was so great to work with! She photographed our engagement session and our wedding. Her pricing and packages were very reasonable and she was so easy to work with. She is accommodating, timely, and absolutely enjoyable to be around. Kate was great at directing us for picture taking and making us feel comfortable and look natural. Her professionalism and quality of photography is top notch. She captured everything we wanted and then some. Kate captures every special moment and you can re-live the day through her pictures, she’s truly talented. Highly recommend Captivating Imagery as a photographer and I’ll continue to use Kate for any photography needs.

Wonderful Photos & Experience

Kate was a pleasure to work with! She did both the engagement and ceremony/reception photos for my wedding in November. She was super professional and listened to our thoughts/requests. She was also super accommodating when we added a request for additional photos during our reception a few weeks before the event.

We wholeheartedly recommend!

Kate photographed my twin brother and I for our senior portraits in 2012. This October, my husband and I had the joy of Kate photographing our wedding. We received the edited photos quickly and we were thrilled at the final product. Kate created beautiful photos that we will treasure for years to come. We can't wait to share them with all our friends and family!

Amazing photos for an amazing day!

We are so happy with our decision to use Captivating Imagery for our wedding day! Kate listened to our ideas about how we wanted our photos to capture the day and tell our story. She was very enthusiastic with us throughout our planning and event. Her ideas for posing during our day gave us amazing and cherished photos. We felt fully comfortable with her and felt we could be ourselves with the camera around. She handled our challenges professionally. We opted for a second photographer so we had the groom and bride pre-wedding perspective and were so happy we did this. It was a bonus receiving our digital pictures the week after the wedding while honeymooning in Mexico! Each picture was given in color and black and white. We loved the timeline of the photos with two photographers because it really showed what each group was up to before the wedding at the same time. I cannot say enough about the quality of our pictures and how we love them. They are enlarged on canvas and grace our foyer. We are coming up to our one-year anniversary and we will spend time looking at all of our puctures to relive our most special day. Worth every penny spent. We highly recommend Kate Miller!

Wonderful photos and awesome experience!

Kate is the best!! We are so happy we had Captivating Imagery for our wedding photography! We really loved all of the photos from the wedding. My favorite thing is that the photos really felt natural and like they fit our personalities. We have so many get moments captured! Also, I can feel uncomfortable having my picture taken, but Kate really helped put me at ease. All the pictures could have been really stressful, but she made it so much fun! Lastly, she was also great at keeping everything moving during the busy day and making sure we got all the shots we wanted. I definitely recommend Captivating Imagery!!

My Wife and I received our photos from Captivating Imagery and all we can say is "wow". Not only are our wedding and reception pictures incredible but the time frame in which we received our photos was so fast! Our photographer, Kate Miller, made sure that we got the pictures that we wanted but also took the time to scout out the area we had our wedding in to get a great mixture of traditional and artsy shots. With the package we picked, we were able to have an engagement session with Ms. Miller. This really helped us get used to the camera and what Kate's instructions would look and sound like.

Kate did an amazing job capturing all of the special moments of our wedding day. From the beginning of the day to the end of the night she was standing on a chair or laying on the ground to get the best shots possible. Kate is such a talented photographer! I used Captivating Imagery for my engagement photos, my bridal studio session, and for my wedding day photos and she did a fantastic job! My engagement photos were fun and creative and I love them all!

Kate was extremely helpful and always responded quickly to questions I had about anything involving the wedding. Her suggestions helped so much with putting together the wedding day timeline and she was willing to do whatever it took to take photos- getting on the ground, walking back & forth to capture our engagement session on a bicycle, carrying a light out onto a bridge, etc! Kate is so accommodating and really helped us by giving us instructions when we weren't sure what to do in front of the camera.

Brienne also joined Kate for our wedding day as a second shooter and she was very sweet and professional. Both Brienne and Kate were very patient when it sometimes took a minute to calm down our large, rowdy bridal party and they did a great job keeping everyone attentive to get the bridal party and family photos completed as quickly as possible to stay within our limited timeframe.

The photo files I've had retouched by Kate are a very good quality and the editing is beautiful. Kate softened our features and cleaned up any imperfections that were shown without taking away from our natural appearance. I highly recommend Captivating Imagery!

Kate is awesome!!! We live in Pittsburgh, but were getting married in Houston so we hired her to do our engagement pics. They came out absolutely lovely. Everyone loved them!!! She got great angles, did great poses and even suggested some awesome locations!!! She was very patient too! It was very cold that day plus we wanted to do an outfit change and she did it all with a smile! Her work is truly amamzing.

AMAZING! Kate became my wedding photographer primarily based on her stellar reputation. Once learning about her, I checked out her site and was very impressed! I am happy to report that I am incredibly happy with the photographs, the timeframe in which she produced them, and the overall ease of working together. Kate was excited to photograph my wedding and I could tell she was passionate about her work. She knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day and made sure she asked me all about the poses and expectation I had (which she exceeded!). She was the best decision we could have made to photograph our wedding.

In addition to their gorgeous, fun, creative photos, Kate and Alex at Captivating Imagery win the award for nicest, easiest to work with people I interacted with during the entire wedding planning process. They were both just friendly and warm, professional, organized, and responsive. I never had to wait long to get a response through email, and they were about as flexible with scheduling as one could hope for. They were a breeze to work with- they know how to get you to relax and enjoy your photo sessions, and knew how to just blend in to the background for the ceremony and the candid shots. We had an outdoor wedding on the coldest, rainiest day in October, and our pictures still came out colorful, bright, and warm! We couldn't be happier!

Kate and Alex from Captivating Imagery did an outstanding job photographing our wedding during a very hectic and busy day! Upon first meeting with Kate and Alex, they were very professional and exhibited a great knowledge of their art, yet they were both so personable and down-to-earth and put a stressed soon-to-be bride and anxious fiancé at ease. They were so easy to work with, understanding, and most of all very patient with us from beginning to end. Their patience was very much appreciated. Our wedding ceremony was to take place outside, as well as pictures and portraits before and after the ceremony, but due to inclement weather, plans changed. Kate and Alex were so accommodating and when we moved the ceremony inside they knew exactly what to do even at the last minute. The ceremony pictures were lovely as well as the entire reception and the day itself. They captured everything we wanted to remember and more! Even the minute details that we didn’t even remember that day we can now look back on and appreciate every time we look at our wedding pictures. Thank you both so much for beautifully capturing our special day. I would highly recommend Captivating Imagery for any special occasion.

Great experience! My husband and I were very pleased with Kate and the beautiful job she did photographing our wedding. She listened to all our suggestions and made some great ones of her own. Kate and Alex were wonderful. My husband and I had never been professionally photographed before and we both felt a bit nervous about having two people we didn't know present for every moment of our wedding. Kate and Alex were very personable and very easy to work with. They dealt with our large, and sometimes challenging, family with grace. They made sure to get all the pictures we had requested and even stayed late to get a tricky shot outside in the dark. We loved them and could not recommend them more highly.

My experience with Kate and her team during my studio Bridal Session was astonishing! The atmosphere at SteelGate Studio is creative, professional, and welcoming. Amber, the stylist, did my hair and makeup. I have never had my makeup done before let alone by a professional like Amber. The quality of her work raised my confidence. When the shoot started I felt like I could not take a bad picture. Plus Amber stays at your side during the shoot, making sure every curl, lash, and dress fold are just right.

Kate behind the camera is a dream. She gives you enough feedback but keeps it lighthearted. As an artist myself, I could see her passion for capturing the moment. Unlike most wedding photographers I’ve experienced, Kate is not counting the minutes till the shoot is over. She is just as excited to take the pictures, as you are to be in them. I am thrilled to have her at my side for my actual wedding day. Alex also worked with Kate on the lighting and more technical aspects of the shoot. Some of this was beyond my understanding but you can tell that together they are a strong knowledgeable team.

I would suggest a studio Bridal Session to any bride or groom. You will never get this much time on your wedding day for a portrait. This experience heightened my excitement for my wedding day and took some of the pressure off because I know that I already have great pictures to mark this time.

Kate is truly amazing to work with. Her organization and preparedness put us at ease that we would get the exact photographs we wanted from our wedding day, and we absolutely did. Our pictures were absolutely breathtaking! Kate really made the whole process simple, seamless, and stress-free, while still focusing on what we wanted out of our photos. Her turn around time on everything from proofs to returning phone calls and emails is unbelievable! We had prints before other couple who got married before us even had their previews! We would recommend Kate to anyone, she is amazing!

We used Captivating Imagery for our wedding on October 8, 2010. Kate was wonderful to work with from start to finish. I knew from the day we met her that she was "the one"; she is so comfortable to work with and very professional. She asked very helpful questions prior to the wedding day, and was readily available by email and phone. Throughout the entire wedding day, it was as though she belonged there. I was not sure if I would feel awkward having my photo taken all day, but Kate and her wonderful assistant Alex get so much done while being unobtrusive and taking amazing photos. And she was wonderful with both our families and very flexible when our limo broke down in unseasonably hot October weather. I just couldn't ask for more, her presence just smoothed the whole day along. The the final photos are so beautiful. Everyone keeps asking us who did our photos, they are all so very impressed!

We used Kate (of Captivating Imagery) for our September 2010 wedding, and were very pleased with how everything went. She was patient, understanding, and flexible from the first emails through our pre-wedding meetings. She was friendly throughout the wedding day with our guests, and put all of us at ease. And, we were of course very pleased with the results, as were our friends and family. Additionally I found, through emailing what seems like every wedding photographer in Pittsburgh, that Kate's rates are very reasonable, cheaper than her competitors without compromising on quality. If we had it to do all over again there is no question we would choose Captivating Imagery again.

I didnt give Kate all five stars just because- I meant every star I gave her! She is a fabulous photographer with a talent unmatched. She captured not only all the big moments from my wedding, but the small ones, and ones I missed as well. The pictures of my husband and I are priceless. However, One photo that has traveled MILES from our wedding is one Kate took- a photo of my husband dancing with his grandmother, and her face says a thousand words. Nobody can look at that photo without crying! We were so happy to be able to share this moment with relatives from Across the country who could not make the wedding. The photos I have from my one special day will last the years to come. She was so professional, so kind, so CARING about her work- she was worth every penny, plus more! I recommend Kate to all my friends with their wedding planning- I recommend her to anyone!

Kate Miller, of Captivating Imagery, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was extremely professional and her turn-around time for proofs, prints, files, etc. was unbelievably quick. She absolutely went the extra mile to make our day extra special by accommodating some of our unique requests. Captivating Imagery is worth every penny and then some. If you ask me, I feel like we robbed her. The quality of service/product is better than competitors charging twice as much.

Kate Miller (from Captivating Imagery) did an absolute WONDERFUL job with the photography of our wedding in August of 2010. Prior to the wedding, she was very willing to answer any question we had and was very prompt and prepared in her reply. She was very flexible and a pleasure to have share in our day. She worked quickly and smoothly, providing ideas for wonderful poses but also open to ideas. Our bridal party also complimented me on the fact that they truly enjoyed having her as a part of the day.

My husband and I were also very impressed with the quality of the photographs which we received and we cherish each one. She was truly able to capture some wonderful moments during the ceremony and at the reception. I really enjoyed having her as the photographer. Overall, she truly did a fantastic job and we highly recommend her :)

Kate from Captivating Imagery photographed our engagement session and our wedding. She did an excellent job during both events. For our engagement session, she was very helpful in finding the right location and meeting us at a time convenient for us since we are out of state. She was very flexible and listened to us in what types of photos we wanted. Both sets of photos turned out just as we had hoped and we get compliments on them all the time. Kate Miller is an awesome photographer who definitely made every aspect of our process special. It was great to find someone who let us be so involved in sharing our ideas for our photos and who made everything so personal. She got to know us as a couple and took/edited shots that truly captured our love, not to mention made our family and friends rave (everyone thought our photos must have cost us 2 or 3x more considering the amazing quality of work). Definitely would recommend. No concerns. Perfect!
