CCC was great! We were able to do a tasting via cupcakes since we were only in town for a day. All of the cakes were amazing but we settled on a two-tiered scraped marble cake and raspberry swirl cake. Both were incredible! We had nothing but high praise from all who got a slice. Also, the top tier (the raspberry) has kept beautifully through all the travel to and from the venue and after to our honeymoon. Highly recommend for any wedding! -

Capital City Cakes has the best cake in the area! We tried at least 5 local cake vendors and their cake was easily the most flavorful and moist with the perfect buttercream! They have a lot of unique flavors....our guests absolutely loved the snickerdoodle! We did a simple cake which turned out beautiful and thought it was great value for the cake.Capital City Cakes's reply:

With one visit and a couple phone calls I ended up with the best cake I have ever tasted, and the best looking cake I have ever seen! They matched our colors perfectly. A perk is we don't have to go through the traditional freezing of the cake topper, as they will make a fresh one for our 1-year anniversary! So many compliments on the cake!!Capital City Cakes's reply:

Capital city went above and beyond to create our wedding cake and cupcakes. The flavors were absolutely amazing! Do not sleep on the snickerdoodle!!! It is the best cake we have ever tasted. We opted on a small two-tier cake for us to cut and cupcakes for our guests. All of our guests raved about the cake and we didn't have any left! We will always recommend our local Grove City bakery Capital City Cakes! -

Beautiful Cake
I wanted a unique cake summarizing my marriage with my husband for military service and law enforcement. We were given a cake that had an American flag draped along the side and a thin blue line around the square! It met my expectations and more! -

Tragedy Averted....
I cannot say enough good things about Capital City Cakes! My original Baker dropped out on me 3 days before the wedding. I knew that I was in real trouble getting a cake that quickly. I called Capital City Cakes and the lady on the phone was very reassuring and put me at ease. I didn't see the cake until the wedding reception and almost cried when I saw it. It was absolutely beautiful! And the cake was so moist and delicious I was amazed! I would definitely recommend Capital City Cakes to anyone and everyone no matter what the occasion. I know that I will be buying all of my cakes from them from now onCapital City Cakes's reply:

Without a doubt the best wedding cake I have ever had. Capital City Cakes made my pinterest cake dreams a reality, and it was so nice that our cake tasted just as good at it looked :) My husband who doesn't even like cake much has still been raving about how good our cake was. We also get a complimentary anniversary cake so we didn't have to freeze the top layer. We would absolutely recommend getting your wedding cake from CCC, and we are so glad we chose them to make our day a little sweeter :) -

These guys are awesome. My favorite bakery in the Columbus area since I’ve moved here from Northeast Ohio. Had 3 flavors in this cake. Each flavor was noticeable and not too sweet. Our guests loved it calling it “top shelf cake!” Wonderful work, guys!Capital City Cakes's reply:

Abigail Sent on 12/07/2017We are so happy we chose Capital City to do our wedding cake in September. They were so easy to work with and made my vision come alive. Not only are there prices great the taste of the cake is absolutely amazing. My now husband is not a fan of cake in general, but he couldn't stop raving about the taste. We can't wait to get our one year anniversary cake next year! We also got macarons for our cookie table and they were gone so quickly I didn't even get one. Everyone was raving about everything. I highly recommend Capital City Cakes for all your events!

I gave them a picture of what we wanted and they replicated it to a "T". It was PERFECT. We received countless compliments on our cake's flavor and appearance. Reasonably pirced, and they did everything I asked. HIGHLY recommend Capital City Cakes! -

Capital City Cakes provided the wedding cake and dessert table for our "new" daughter and son's wedding this past weekend. It was perfect - the cake tasted wonderful and the desserts were a big hit. I watched Jenny place the fresh flowers on the cake, and her attention to detail went above and beyond. For the dessert table we had mini cupcakes, cannolis, buckeyes and cake pops. There were hundreds of vendors at the show and this is the only cake bakers that were honest, not pushy, and seriously had the best cake flavors, every single bite was delicious! It was moist, held together, looked perfect, not too sweet, the icing was light and fluffy, with no sugary grits. They are a family owned business and it shows! These people know how to work together, are so professional and organized. They are just as wonderful as their treats! They will help you figure out how many tiers of cake you need, allow you a cake tasting, will hand sketch your cake design, and even bake you a fresh top tier for you to enjoy on your one year wedding anniversary! They can deliver it right to your venue and set it up for you! Every one of our guests raved about the cake and even had more then on piece because they loved every flavor! We had a fairly big cake, 6 tiers with four different flavors! We got married 9/23/17 and wanted our cake flavors to match the fall season. We had butter pecan, snicker doodle, butterscotch, and peanut butter, literally every single flavor was fantastic and at the end of the night we had no cake left, so we are really looking forward to that one year wedding anniversary freshly baked cake! Pick these bakers you will not regret it!

We had a pretty good experience with Capital City Cakes. I’ll start with the pros: Our cake tasting experience was amazing and they have a lot of fun flavors to choose from! We recommend the cookies and cream. They also easily accommodated our gluten free guests. We had many compliments on our cake’s taste and appearance. Cons. We were a little disappointed in the communication or lack thereof following our final invoice payment. I had trouble finalizing details with them by phone and email, and getting answers to my questions. 5 days before the wedding we finally got a call that our cake we paid for, that we were told served up to 150, would only serve 35 people. I was up charged for the fix, which was disappointing, but they were able to modify the cake to serve all our guests. We also had to change our cake stand last minute due to them adding a third layer to resolve this issue, as the original one I was to rent would not fit the new cake size. -
