My husband and I were originally supposed to get married June 6th then because of the virus we had to move the wedding to August 8th I was scared because of how hot that month usually is plus rearranging everything for people coming it was a nightmare but Derek helped tremendously anywhere he could on the day of the wedding I cannot stress how much he was Hands-On to include getting a sandwich for my granddaughter who was my flower girl. This was my third marriage and I can honestly say I feel like I had never been married before this was the day of my dreams! -

My husband and I got married over the weekend and we are beyond happy with how everything turned out with our wedding! Derrick is an absolute pleasure to work with! We had to reschedule our wedding and Derrick made everything painless for us. We are so happy with how everything turned out and cannot thank Derrick and his team enough for making our special day one to remember! We can’t wait to go back for a visit soon! -

We were hesitant to pick this venue due to our large invite list and the distance from a hotel, but let me say; we have absolutely no regrets! We worked with Derrick, the wedding director and planner at the Winery. He assured us that we did not need a day of planner and he was right! He had a whole team ready the day of and everything went flawlessly! We got married outside on the landing at the lake and it was absolutely beautiful! We got the most amazing pictures back from our photographer with this as the backdrop! Our reception was inside in the most elegant/rustic ballroom. We did the wedding package and had 166 guests at our wedding. It was so nice for the winery to have a package set up with the food, drinks, DJ, florist, and baker. My fiancé and I could relax and just pick what we wanted- wine/beer choices, music, cake flavor and style and of course the menu! There is room for adjustment on price range depending on what you want- we wanted to spend more on the open bar tab and less on flowers. We had our wedding party and family rent the cottages out the night of our wedding so it was nice to not need to travel anywhere after the wedding. My bridesmaids (6 girls), my mom, the groom’s mom, and our hair stylist, makeup artist, and myself fit very comfortably in the bridal cottage while getting ready the day of. If we got to do our wedding day again, we would 1000% do it here again!!! -

100% perfect wedding venue
Derrick and his team went above and beyond. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. The food and drinks were amazing. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. They did not disappoint at all. When they tell you they are an all inclusive venue they do not lie. They did everything for us, exactly like we wanted it. -

Caro Sent on 06/17/2018CFWV is an outstanding venue! My husband and I are dual military stationed in different states. Derrick, our coordinator, was amazing at accommodating and answering our questions. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and it easily accommodates 170 people. Besides the venue being absolutely gorgeous, we were able to rent the cabins for the wedding party, which is really convenient. Ruth, the florist, is amazing and she captured exactly what I wanted my bouquet to look like! My mother bakes, therefore we brought our own cake and it was not an issue with the venue. There were only two hiccups: first, the DJ sort of left the wedding (I had a family member co-DJ the reception), and second, the food was not exactly the same as the tasting. This was caused by a kitchen tool breaking the day of the wedding and unfortunately the kitchen could not keep up with the plated dinner. Probably, with a bufet dinner it would not have happened. The venue is willing to provide compensation for their mistake at the kitchen. Overall, I fully recommend this venue, it was beautiful, amazing, and affordable compared against other venues in a 200mi radius!

My fiance' and I met with Derrick for a t our of he venue. The place is very beautiful. I loved this placed even though we did not go with this venue, it was amazing. Thanks for all the help. Derrick set up for his tables is out of this world. -

Kristen Sent on 06/14/2018We were very pleased with everyone at Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery. They did end up changing coordinators after we booked, but we had such a great experience with Derrick. He made many great changes, and was always very responsive to us. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We were able to have our ceremony on the dock overlooking the lake, and moved into the ballroom for the reception. All of the artwork and the animals around the venue were such a cool added bonus that many of our guests enjoyed.
