We hosted our wedding at Cantigny Park this past weekend and it was the most wonderful experience ever!
The staff was professional, friendly and went above and beyond with their service on our wedding day. All of our guests could not stop raving about the food and service they received and how our ceremony in the Rose Garden was absolutely beautiful.
Amanda and Phoebe are both so kind and made the planning process so seamless from the beginning!
We cannot wait to visit Cantigny again to reminisce on our perfect day and highly recommend booking your wedding here!

Wedding at Cantigny
We hosted our son's (and daughter in law) Wedding at the Cantigny this past weekend. Our planning begin with the selection of Rose Garden for the ceremony and Le Jardin as the dining room with guidance from Amanda. She was very helpful right from the get go in Feb-Mar when we first selected this venue. While initially they were reluctant about a few things like selection of our food vendor etc., Amanda and other Cantigny folks were receptive to other ideas and quickly cleared any hurdles in the process.
As the process progressed, Amanda and later Phoebe, helped in guiding us in various ceremony and dining related items. This included the layouts, weather related backups, allowing access to other vendors/decorators, dining tables/chairs and many other things.
All in all we were impressed with their professionalism, throughness, and ability to solve any issues that arose during and upto the wedding weekend.

Best Day Ever!
Our reception at Cantigny was the best decision we ever made for our special day. From our first inquiry to the last dance, everything went perfectly! Amanda, our contact person, was such a joy to work with, and unbelievably helpful. All the staff that helped us leading up to and during our reception were also the most professional, accommodating, and kind people. We also had our rehearsal dinner in the Red Oak Room I, which was so perfect. This goes without saying, but the place is absolutely gorgeous. The Woodside Pavilion wowed our guests, and the food was also incredible. Because of them, we were able to enjoy our day.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here and couldn't be more happy! They are all wonderful people to work with and so helpful through the whole planning process. Jessica and Phoebe and the ceremony coordinator and reception leads were fantastic. The venue is beautiful and affordable! We got married on the East Lawn and had our reception on the golf side at the tent the Woodside Pavilion and it was the perfect day. They are very flexible with you on making your own wedding package to customize your costs. If I had it to do all over again, I would choose Cantigny! I highly recommend to any couple and to any bride!

Great Wedding and Reception Venue!
The entire wedding process at Cantigny was run very well. We hosted our ceremony at the Rose Garden and our reception at Le Jardin. Our ceremony had to be moved inside due to weather, but the staff was able to quickly adapt to the backup location and everyone had a great evening at Cantigny! Cantigny as a venue is absolutely gorgeous! The ceremony and reception coordinators were well organized and guided us through every step of the process! The kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and team were all super nice, thoughtful, and helpful, making the day go by smoothly and stress free! Even when things didn't go exactly according to plan, Cantigny’s communication and adaptiveness was instrumental in making our wedding day perfect! We would recommend Cantigny to anyone looking to host an event or party!

Taylor is incredible!
My husband and I have visited Cantigny Park many times in our lives. During one of our first dates, we happened to see a wedding happening on-site and thought, 'That's Cool!' Not realizing we would be doing the same thing several years later.
Since day one, Taylor at Cantigny Golf was WONDERFUL! She was so prepared with answers to all of our questions, helped inform details we would have never thought about, and was so kind and genuine in ensuring all our needs were met. She is a SUPERHUMAN as she juggled the most weddings this year while becoming a momma!
Her attention to detail provided us and our guests with peace of mind and SUCH A GOOD TIME. It's been two weeks since our wedding and people still keep asking us if we plan on having another event with them in the future.
Pamela, our server for the evening, was outstanding in attending to our needs and allowed us to have such a wonderful time with loved ones.
Small note for future brides: I wish there was a little more time dedicated with the Ceremony Specialists/Day-of Coordinator at Cantigny Park. There really wasn't much communication until the week before and it felt like I had to keep reaching out to touch base. Our DJ was even shocked when Gina mentioned, 'I forgot your wedding was coming up' during a meeting (which I'm certain was not literal or malicious - It just wasn't something I wanted to hear three weeks before our wedding.)
And shout out to the rest of the staff at the Red Oak Room and Cantigny Park for making the day so wonderful! Great FOOD and great SERVICE!
We cannot wait to celebrate our anniversaries by strolling through the same garden for years to come.

A dream location!
Absolutely thrilled with our experience start to finish. A beautiful venue to start. The food and beverage team is easy to work with. Packages and pricing was fair for the excellent quality of it! We married in the rose garden and had our reception at the woodside pavilion-which are both stunning! All of our guests enjoyed themselves and said the kindest things about being happy to share our wedding day at Cantigny!

Have your wedding here! Great for indian weddings!
Cantigny will always have a special place in my heart! Having a wedding during COVID was NOT easy but Cantigny did everything in they could to make it perfect for my husband I. Great communication, reliable and excellent service. Chris Pieters went above and beyond to make sure our fine details, crazy requests, and last minute accommodations were met. He updated us every week, gave us suggestions on how to make events run smoother and also-helped save us some money. The staff there made us feel so special. We even had guests also commenting on how nice the servers/bartenders were. Indian weddings can be hectic and full of suprises, but the staff at Cantigny made sure everything ran perfectly. The garden/lake is absolutely stunning and our wedding photos came out gorgeous. It's been a year since our wedding and I still have people coming up to me about how gorgeous our wedding was--I owe all of that to Catingy, Chris and his staff! So glad we chose this place as our venue!

Get married at Cantigny! You'll be glad you did!
We had both our ceremony and reception at Cantigny and we used their stunning bridal cottages to get ready. (Hello stunning getting ready photos!!) I could not have asked for a better experience. While the beauty of this venue is a given, they offer so much more than a beautiful place to have your wedding. The team at Cantigny made the process so easy. As we planned the wedding, they asked questions I never would have thought of. Because of their thorough planning and attention to all the details, my wedding day went perfectly and was truly stress-free.
Through the entire process, Cantigny clearly communicated what to expect, responded to all my emails quickly, and were happy to accommodate some rather odd requests on my part. The food was excellent, the servers friendly and helpful, the planning and coordinating on point, and both the park and the golf course were the perfect backdrop to my wedding. I could not recommend Cantigny more.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Cantigny. I was overwhelmed when I first started planning my wedding. I looked at sooo many different venues in the Chicago lane area, and none of them felt right. They were either way too expensive, not that beautiful, or far away. I wanted an outdoor ceremony surrounded by nature, and I did not want a reception in a stuffy banquet hall.
When my husband and I stumbled across Cantigny, they had everything we wanted. We couldn’t believe it. We kept saying that this place was too good to be true. The entire staff was extremely warm, welcoming and friendly. The made the entire process run smoothly. Tiffany (reception coordinator) and Abby (ceremony coordinator) were INCREDIBLE! They always responded to me right away whenever I had questions and made me feel supported.
It was raining on and off on the wedding day, but somehow these amazing people brought everything together so well! We still had our gorgeous ceremony outside when the weather got nicer. I was never worried and truly trusted the team. Our guests kept telling us how beautiful everything was and they loved the food! I have already recommended Cantigny to many friends and family. It was such a happy and positive experience! Thank you so much Cantigny.

Outstanding communication!
The whole team at Cantigny Park was outstanding. My daughter's wedding was in the Rock Garden with the cocktail hour on the Le Jardin patio and it was simply a beautiful setting. When we moved into Le Jardin for the reception everyone was amazed at the space and light as well as the wonderful family style dinner. Abby Clark and Gina C., the Ceremony Coordinators and Tiffany Vroman, the Catering Sales Manager, answered all of our (sometimes daily!) questions and responded quickly during the planning process. Not easy when they were taking care of many brides and other events but they always made us feel as if we were the most important client at that moment. All the details and questions that we had listed were taken care of with ease with this team. The "Day Of" went as smoothly as we expected and we would not have changed a thing! I highly recommend hosting your wedding at Cantigny Park!

Wonderful Venue
We were thrilled with our wedding day at Cantigny! We had our ceremony in the rose garden and it was gorgeous. The park and all of the gardens are so well maintained, so the ceremony area was beautiful, as well as the rest of the grounds for photos. Another perk about the park, is that we rented out one of their cottages for the day, for my girls and I to get ready in. It was so cute and comfortable, and was so great to get ready on site! Our reception was in the Woodside Pavilion at the golf course and we were so happy with the space! It's unique and private, the food was amazing! All of their staff, including the coordinators we worked with throughout the planning process and the serving/bartending staff on the wedding day were wonderful! The only thing to note if you decide to have your reception in the pavilion, the electrical is effected when it rains. On our day, it was raining off and on, and our DJ's equipment stopped working a handful of times/the music stopped. Things got back on track, but definitely something to keep in mind/ask about. And the bathrooms in the pavilion are nice, but there was a bit of an unpleasant smell as the end of the night approached. But in the grand scheme of things, we had a wonderful experience! Also, the majority of our planning was during the height of the pandemic, and the Cantigny staff could not have been more flexible and accommodating. They answered all of our questions promptly and gave us great vendor recommendations. We also loved how they pretty much provide everything; linens, chairs, catering, dessert. It's a great value for everything that's included. We highly recommend Cantigny!!

Perfect day at the perfect venue
We had our ceremony and reception at Cantigny Park on July 5, 2019 and we would highly recommend this venue to everyone. We had our ceremony at East Lawn, and everything was beautifully perfect. Abby Clark and Kaylee were our ceremony coordinators and they made sure everything was taken care of from our guests, to bridal party, to flowers, to transportation, and all the small details. We had our reception at Le Jardin and it was absolutely gorgeous! Taylor Clark was our venue coordinator and she is the catering manager - she is absolutely amazing and made our entire wedding planning process and wedding day very stress-free. It is a simple but elegant venue and the food is exquisite! We are still getting compliments about our venue and food. We highly recommend Cantigny Park for all couples looking for a stress-free, all inclusive perfect wedding venue!

Amazing experience
I had a bridal shower brunch at Cantigny Golf, specifically in the Red Oak II room. The staff were amazing—they were professional, personable, and incredibly accommodating. I primarily dealt with Lindsey, who is a sweetheart, and made my experience with Cantigny Golf a very special, pleasant one. The food was delicious—everyone raves about the brunch menu (particularly the salmon and sea bass). The weather was beautiful, which gave us the opportunity to use the adjoining outdoor patio area for stunning photos.
The room was large for my group of 65 people, but still felt very intimate. We made use of the venue’s bookshelves by decorating with our own personal photos, and we were able to make the space our own.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this venue for any occasion, big or small!

It was love at first sight as soon as we toured Cantigny. Everything from the grounds, to the location was everything and more we envisioned for our wedding day. We chose to have our ceremony at the East Lawn Garden and the reception at the newly added Woodside Pavillion. Both locations were absolutely stunning on our wedding day. For getting ready, we rented out the cottage nearby the ceremony site and it allowed us to have plenty of time for photos in the gardens prior to the start of the ceremony. The staff we worked with was absolutely AMAZING. They were on point with reaching out to us when needed and following up with us immediately for any questions we may have had. Our day was flawless and it's all because of them. They are so organized, professional and FLEXIBLE. Although we were using their facility, they really bent over backwards to make their facilities feel like ours. It was great. Words cannot express how great it was to work with Bryanne as our wedding coordinator and Alyssa as our ceremony coordinator. Both Bryanne and Alyssa were so detailed, caring and supportive, it's really no wonder that I trusted them completely. Honestly, these two are ones to have confidence in and will make sure that your day goes off without a hitch. When it came to the food, it was delicious. Even today we are still hearing compliments on how great the food was. We even still receive compliments on their bar tenders! They were super friendly, AND TALENTED. We had special drinks and they were able to make them perfectly. What a way to add to the experience for our guests. I would highly recommend Cantigny for your wedding. Every where you turn is picturesque, you just can't go wrong. :)

My husband and I selected The Red Oak Room at Cantigny Golf Club for our rehearsal dinner, and let us tell you, it was incredible!! We had a larger rehearsal dinner with a lot of out of town guests and the night was a hit. We wanted a space with both outdoor and indoor space and The Red Oak Room was perfect. The views of the golf course are stunning and the string lights on the patio made it feel like an awesome summer party. We had food served buffett style (Italian theme and then mini chicago hotdogs and beef sandwiches) and they were a hit! On top of the venue being spectacular, our event coordinator, Taylor, was top knotch. Taylor was so professional, kind and responsive and made the night better than we had imagined! If you are considering having any event that will "wow" your guests - have it at Cantigny. The grounds and staff are supberb.

My fiancé, Joe, and I looked at MANY places before finally deciding on Cantigny to host our wedding reception this past May. We spent lots of weekends driving around, touring places and meeting with representatives from our list of possibilities. We found some too big, some too small but when we saw the Red Oak Room at Cantigny Golf Club, well, like Goldilocks said, "It was just right".
While much of our research was done in the cool, barren fall months, we knew the view of the golf course would be spectacular once the grounds got doused with the spring rains. The windows are plenty and the adjacent outdoor patio would serve not only as a scenic spot for our ceremony, but also a place for our guests who wanted to take their drinks outside to a high table and get some night air. After meeting with Karen to go over the details and see how the room might lay out, we booked it! This was a leap of faith because at that time, we hadn't yet tried the food for ourselves - just trusted the reviews on this very website! Thanks to everyone who shares honest posts here because you didn't steer us wrong! We did attend the bridal expo, and it was difficult to narrow down our appetizer selections because they were all so good. However, we made our picks and scheduled a tasting. Here's where we were thrown a curve ball. Shortly before our tasting day, we were informed that Karen would no longer be working at Cantigny. And we've now invested months with her, going over the countless details and sharing e-mails that discussed everything from linen options to where our DJ would set up. At this late date, we were nervous. Taking her place would be Sara Cash, the new catering manager. We arrived at Cantigny on our scheduled tasting day and Sara stunned us from that very first introduction. I couldn't have been happier with the way the wedding and reception turned out! Even though we ended up getting rained out of the Rose Garden, Karen and Cantigny did an amazing job of moving the wedding into the balcony off the Red Oak room (even though it only started raining about 45minutes before the ceremony) and we had endless compliments on this location! They did a great job working with us to make everything perfect and we really appreciated all the work they put into it! The food and cake were delicious and the setting was excellent!

Service, food and planning with Bryanne and Daphne was seamless and easy. I truly could not have asked for more. The food was outstanding. My Dad said it was the best he's ever had at a wedding. The staff was attentive throughout the evening. Bryanne was very responsive to my (many) questions throughout the planning period. I couldn't have asked for more. When you first visit Le Jardin (the venue we chose), you might not love the ambiance. The bar and Bertie's (the cafe off of the main room) need a little makeover. We decided to make it prettier. If you can fit Chivari chairs into the budget, do it. What an elegant look it added. We made a huge bar menu sign and placed it in front of a pass-thru window behind the bar. It covered up the window beautifully. Lots of candles and flowers, etc. on the bar counter helped. It really ended up looking very nice. The sign looked like it belonged back there. Bertie's needed a little help, also. Cantigny has a floor to ceiling curtain that covers the counter area. It works well, and hides the area you don't want guests to see. We also had hi-boys and regular tables with linens on them to dress up the area. It was football season, so we turned on the tv's during cocktail hour. That was a big hit. If you can turn on the fireplace, do it! How pretty it was. With a little imagination, you can turn that room into anything you envision. My chair lady said it was one of the prettiest receptions that she's ever seen, and she's seen alot. I was a little nervous about the whole event, but that was a waste of time. I would choose Le Jardin again in a second!

Cantigny hosted our wedding ceremony and reception. It is a beautiful place. We got married on the East Lawn. Karen Elmore helped us with our wedding and did a fantastic job. She was prompt and did whatever she could to make sure our wedding day was perfect. Our guests loved the ceremony and reception areas. It was a huge hit!

Cantigny was the better than I could have imagined. First of all, the venue is absolutely beautiful. We rented out Dairyman's Cottage (the bridal cottage) to get ready and it was so lovely. A perfect cottage with more than enough room to spend the day. My bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law all got ready here using our hair and makeup crew, and the groomsmen and dads came in after some photos to relax and cool off as well (I was upstairs though, to avoid having my groom seeing me!). A tram picked us up and took us to the ceremony when it was time to go. Our ceremony site was the South Grove. This is the most shaded site, and our guests were never hot during our August wedding, because the entire ceremony was in the shade (ceremony began at 5:30)! It was absolutely perfect. We got married under a flower arch which was beautiful with the canopy of green trees as a backdrop. Then, the cocktail hour and reception were literally only a few steps away. Guests LOVED that. It's the closest ceremony site to Le Jardin. Cocktail hour was incredible, the decorations were beautiful, and Cantigy does so much of the work so it really makes it easy on the bride/groom and the families. Everything is included in your package, so it's so stress-free since you don't have to worry about different caterers, bakeries, etc. The bar service was incredible, the wait staff was top notch, and the day really was perfect. We worked with Daphne for the whole process, and she was incredible. Thank you Cantigy for the most wonderful wedding!

The staff here were absolutely the most caring and helpful staff at any wedding venue I have witnessed. They made sure the day was as special as it could be for my best friend and his new wife.
The military history pieces such as tanks made for great pictures. The architecture gave us all a sense of peace and humility.

Cantigny absolutely bent over backwards to help us plan our special day! We had a two bride wedding, which was a first for Cantigny. We felt comfortable, welcome and respected. Karen Elmore was amazing and very responsive to our needs. She was timely in her email and phone communications. Mike, the catering manager was also fantastic! The food was excellent and we would highly recommend Cantigny to anyone!

We had our reception at Le Jardin, the banquet room in the visitor center. Daphne and Rebecca were very helpful planning the details of the evening, and responded promptly to our emails and phone calls. They both had helpful suggestions for the schedule during the reception and for food choices. The space is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was helpful and professional. The staff set aside hors d'oeuvres for us since we had pictures during the cocktail hour, and the waiters were very attentive to the bride and groom all evening.

We give 5 stars quality for the reception we had for our daughter's wedding in Cantigny Golf. The service is excellent!!!! We are so happy to be able to have the flexibility provided by Cantigny Golf for our daughter's reception. The food is superb!!!! They are very accomodating to all our requests including pureeing foods for my elderly father.
However, at the rehearsal in the Rose Garden, we were not provided with any tech person for the wedding ceremony. So, as might be expected, thing did not go very well as it should have in the wedding ceremony. But we are totally satisfied with the reception part at the Club House. Thank you very much, Karen and your staff, for all your help. You make our daughter's special day very memorable.

I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff at Cantigny was in regard to the wedding and reception for my daughter. The ceremony was on the East Lawn, and was just beautiful. Of course, a lot of that has to do with weather and it was a picture perfect day.
Karen Elmore, the banquet manager at the Red Oak room was the most professional, detailed and organized vendor we worked with. We left her with a highly detailed list of must do's for the reception and I must say that when I walked into the reception area to check the room, everything was perfect.
The service was great, the food was plentiful and delicious and the room absolutely gorgeous. We looked at many a venue when considering our choices, and for the money (very reasonable for all we got) I don't think you can beat Cantigny, especially if you have the reception at the Red Oak room. Thank you Karen for giving my daughter the wedding of her dreams and for making my life easy!

We absolutely loved Cantigny! Our ceremony was outside in the Rose Garden and our reception was in Le Jardin. We had no complaints and Magan at Cantigny was amazing to work with! We never once felt like we were a burden by asking questions! It has only been two weeks but I keep reliving everything in my head and my wedding was my true fairytale thanks to Cantigny!

I had the perfect wedding, much due to Karen, Mike and the staff at Cantigny Red Oak Room. Karen was very accommodating to all of my strange requests.
The comment we heard again and again from the guests was that not only was the food good wedding food, it was just good restaurant quality food. My new cousins wanted to do a traditional Pakistani dance for me and Mike was able to time the dinner correctly to get the Black Angus Filet Mignon perfectly cooked, and not over done.
We could not have been happier with the service and recommend their service for a wedding, a shower or any catered event.

I am so thankful that we chose Cantigny as both our ceremony site and reception site. It goes without saying that the venue is stunningly beautiful, but it was the staff, specifically the services of Karen Elmore, that ultimately exceeded my expectations in every way. Karen was there for my husband and I throughout the entire planning process and was always available to answer any question we had – and believe me there were a lot. The actual wedding day could not have gone smoother. I never once felt like I had to worry about a thing, because the incredible staff at Cantigny had everything taken care of. Not to mention, the food was out of this world! I would encourage any couple to trust Cantigny with their wedding day!!!

As soon as we got engaged, we knew that we wanted to have both our ceremony and reception at Cantigny. We worked with Karen Elmore at the Red Oak Room. Karen was a delight to work with. She went out of her way to make things happen for us and was extremely flexible with everything, whether it was getting things to the ceremony location, changing the room set up, or last minute meal changes for guests.
this was an excellent value. All of our guests were blown away by how elegant and classy our wedding was. Out guests kept trying to guess the actual cost and were shocked when we told them our real prices. The Red Oak Room felt like a private dinner at a very swanky restaurant. The staff was amazing, our bartenders poured strong drinks and went out of their way to accomodate people, and the staff were spot on.
Huge thanks to Karen for all of her help on this!! She made my wedding an event to remember and one that our family and friends will talk about for years!!

I do not have enough words to express how much we love Karen Elmore, her staff and The Red Oak Room. Altho we reside in Dallas, I am born and raised from Chicago so we chose to marry up there so my family and friends could be there. Having lived in the Wheaton area I was in love with Cantigny but was actually afraid to contact them due to the tight budget we were working with... after talking to several other venues who were not flexible with the small headcount, dates and again budget we were working with I finally took a chance and contacted Karen Elmore at The Red Oak Room. From the get go she was flexible, worked with our dates and budget and was not put off with the smaller headcount. She offered several options to fit the party to our needs. She also helped a great deal during the planning with was extremely appreciated since we were doing this from another state. The week before the wedding we had a last minute hitch that could've been a mess and she was ready to step in and found an alternative on a moment's notice. Luckily it turned our perfect and the alternative was not needed. She was also wonderful at calming my few Bridezilla moments and soothing my nerves. :) The food... awesome. The cake was delish! And the entire staff from the bartender to the AV guy were incredible. We were married a week ago and we are still hearing from friends and family how beautiful our wedding was, how great the food was and how scenic the venue was... it was exactly what we had envisoned and I have Karen and her staff to thank. Thank you Karen and Cantigny.

We had our reception at the Red Oak Room at Cantigny Golf, and planned to have our ceremony on the East Lawn until mother nature decided she wanted us to go indoors! The weather change happened at the very last mintue, and the staff at Cantigny worked quickly to help get us moved inside so the ceremony could take place. We really appreciate all the hard work and attentiveness they provided! Even with having to come indoors, the setup was beautiful and the reception site is fantastic. You will not be disappointed if you choose to have your wedding here! Karen is also great to work with :-)

We had our wedding reception at Cantigny. It was so amazing! The room is surrounded by windows looking over the golf course and beautiful ponds and fountains! Every guests said it was simply breath taking! The room has a huge patio right off of it which our guests thourghly enjoyed! The staff was amazing the whole night! So helpful, fun and most importantly nice t our guests! Karen Elmore was an awesome wedding coordinator for Cantigny! She was so helpful and really took the time with me to arrange the room and all the details to be exactly how I always dreamed it would be! We picked Cantigny because we wanted the reception and ceremony in the same location. We held the ceremony inside with a string trio and then had the reception in the new Le Jardin restaurant / room. Everything was perfect!
Magan and her staff were a pleasure to work with! The venue is beautiful and the service was amazing! All of our guests commented on the quality of the food and the cake! The table set up was perfect and any recommendations Magan made were right on! The servers were responsive to any of the guests' needs and made sure that all of our guests were taken care of. We would definitely recommend Cantigny Park!

My husband and I live in the city and wanted to get married there, but couldn't afford the prices. I was really bummed until we visited Cantigny. It was absolutely beautiful and reasonably priced. We chose to have the ceremony at the park in the rose garden and the reception at the Red Oak Room at the golf course. Unfortunately, mother nature had other plans.
We had to decide hours before the ceremony whether to move it inside due to looming rain clouds. The coordinator, Karen, was really helpful and steered us toward the right decision. We didn't have time to get everything to the patio at the Red Oak Room, but we were able to move it inside in the visitors center at the park. I had never spent much time in the visitors center and was a little concerned about what it would look like. Fortunately, it was perfect. The room was decorated very nicely and the coordinator there (Megan, who I had never met) worked tirelessly to make everything happen. We were very happy with how everything turned out. Megan was also really helpful in taking care of a crying flower girl.
The reception was equally great. Although it was raining, we had great views of the golf course, wonderful covered patio, and a beautiful room. I probably asked Karen a million questions over the many months of planning and she was very patient and responsive. Her answer to everything was "we'll make it happen." It really took a lot of stress away. I attended the once a year food tasting and wasn't very impressed. It tasted like generic wedding food. Again, Cantigny came through. The food was fantastic. We got rave reviews from the guests - everything from the soup to the 10:30pm sundae bar was a hit. I would also like to thank the staff. They were courteous, helpful, professional, and a pleasure to work with. We would also like to thank Pete the bartender for making us some seriously great margaritas for the night.
It was the perfect location for our event and I am still very happy with our choice. I wouldn't even think twice about having another event there.

I had my wedding in the Red Oak room which had a beautiful water view. Every guest loved the venue and more importantly the food. If I had to do it over again, I would go definitely go back to Cantigny.

Cantigny is an amazing place to get married! We had our ceremony at Cantigny Park on 5/17/14 and our reception at Cantigny Golf Red Oak Room. Everything turned out perfectly! We were very concerned when we had our rehearsal the day before and our ceremony space was super muddy and slightly flooded due to all the recent rain. However, Karen and her staff saved the day when they suggested we could move to the Rock Garden at no extra charge, which was not muddy at all and an even more beautiful space. Karen was very easy to work with. Although she sometimes was hard to reach by phone and took some time to write back with e-mails, everything always got addressed and taken care of in a timely matter and she was very flexible with any and all changes. We were able to add on extra food, such as a carving station during cocktail hour and family style crab legs during dinner and a sweets table later in the evening, when our guest list went from 125 to 80 and we still had to meet the minimum dollar amount. And, the food was AMAZING! Everyone raved about it! We booked our wedding reception venue with Cantigny Golf in Wheaton. Their packages included catering, the wedding cake and even our hotel room for the night at an area hotel, all in all it was a great deal! They were actually pretty well priced - yes wedding receptions are expensive, but there's was on the reasonable side, really!
Karen Elmore was our main contact for our reception. She was extremely courteous and flexible with us every step of the way! She was a little difficult to get ahold of at times, but I learned to be patient with her. As time got closer, she was quicker with responding - which was appreciated close to the wedding! The rest of the staff was very professional too!
The food, drinks, etc for the wedding were delicious! We have received numerous compliments on the quality of the food and the fact that everyone had more than enough! We chose the package that included appetizers, salad, soup, main course and cake. Everyone loved the cake!
The only complaint I heard was the bar area was a little close to the dance floor. This was not really intended, as the bars are usually set up outside on the beautiful patio. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the patio or have the bar set up there because it was a cold and rainy night...not anyone's fault!
Just a final note on the facility. It has been remodeled in the last 5 years or so (not sure??). Anyway, it is absolutely beautiful! The one side has huge windows overlooking the golf course, and it had a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired feel to it. It was a lovely setting for a reception!

Magan was responsive and flexible to our requests throughout the planning process. She addressed all of our concerns in the preceding months and I was incredibly confident relying on her experience and professional judgment. On the day, the transition from ceremony to reception was seamless and the servers during the reception were attentive yet unobtrusive and very accommodating. We had our reception at the Red Oak Room at Cantigny. We loved absolutely everything about it. It was very reasonably priced especially when compared to other options in the City or surrounding suburbs. The staff at Cantigny is awesome and they were so flexible with our needs and requests. The food was great and we did mini burgers at 10:30pm which was a HUGE hit with our guests. We did go to the bridal show at Cantigny and tasted some of the food there but the food at our reception was so much better! It definitely exceed our expectations. The bar was well stocked and our guests were so pleased with the selection of beers they offered. The grounds at Cantigny golf and the gardens are amazing and we took all of our outdoor pictures there. It is an amazing backdrop. I received so many compliments that I would definitely do it all over again - at Cantigny. I am hoping one day it can serve as a backdrop for baby showers, anniversary parties, etc.!

Our ceremony took place at the East Lawn at cantigny. Many people know about the tree that fell near this site. I was concerned when I heard, however I still decided to go on to have our wedding there because I am obsessed with how gorgeous the wedding site is. They promised the yellow caution tape would be removed before the ceremony.
Although it wasn't...my guests could not see the yellow caution tape because they were further down from the area luckily... All in all in regardless of the tree/the tape it was a beautiful site. Nothing affected how wonderful my pictures are.

Our ceremony was in the Rose Garden at Cantigny Park and the reception was at the Red Oak Room at Cantigny Golf Course. The ceremony setting was beautiful and the gardens were amazing! Our guests definitely enjoyed the great scenery. Our reception was great and the food was delicious. Each plate was very large and we received lots of compliments on the steak! (We chose the NY strip steak and the salmon as our entrees - both were delicious.) Karen was very easy to work with and very accommodating to our needs. The service was very professional as well. They worked very well with our other vendors and had back up plans for everything. Though I was worried about the room being too narrow, it accommodated our 120 guest very easily and did not feel cramped at all!

We had our ceremony and reception at Cantigny Golf on 8/27/2011. Everything was amazing. We got a lot for our money, and it really was a one-stop-shop. I highly recommend and if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't consider anywhere else. The scenery is beautiful, which makes for amazing pictures, and it's tucked away from the rest of Wheaton. Karen was wonderful, and the staff accomodated to every last need. Our guests raved about the bartender and staff. Food was great, and they even wrapped up our dinners so we could enjoy it once we got back to the hotel that night. The only thing I didn't like was during our ceremony (on the patio), and some of the golf staff was below and they were talking and we could hear it as we were saying our vows. I wish the clubhouse staff would have been a bit more courteous. Other than that, everything was great!

Beautiful venue
My husband and I chose Cantigny as our venue because it fit our budget, had enough capacity for 150 people, and had a beautiful garden space. We had our ceremony in the Rose Garden in June and the garden was lush and the flowers were in bloom. I was worried about having my wedding look too “golf club-y”, but we were able to avoid that by utilizing the beautiful outdoor space for the ceremony and the Woodside Pavillion tent for the reception. The food is above average. We did have a mix up on our wedding date where the invoice did not match what we had communicated through email and so ended up with 2 servings of mashed potatoes instead of 1 mashed potatoes and 1 green beans. Other than that everything went to plan. The staff was responsive, but we mostly worked with our full wedding planner so we did not have to rely on them too much.

What an incredible venue!
As someone told us when we first booked The East Lawn and The Red Oak Room, the photos you get will be worth the venue price alone ...and as long as the weather cooperates, that's true! (Although it is very nice that if you book both your ceremony and reception with the venue, they will provide a backup rain ceremony site for no extra charge)
The booking process was very easy and the entire staff was great at helping us set up tours, food tastings, etc while we made trips to the Midwest from Boston to plan our big day. There were a couple of hiccups in the planning process such as frequent change in coordinators, our last coordinator was actually getting married the same week as us - which we weren't informed of until close to our wedding date and there was construction this summer which affected/moved our bridal suite a number of times.
However no matter what issue came up, the staff were incredibly responsive and did everything they could to make our day perfect. In the end the weather behaved and we had an absolutely incredible outdoor wedding with the help of Giselle, the current day-of coordinator on the park side, who really did a phenomenal job at the rehearsal, getting everything set up for the ceremony and cuing us at the start of the ceremony.
One important thing to note, they don't close or rope off anything for your wedding so park visitors will be walking around/near the ceremony site and in our case - despite Giselle's best efforts to intercept them - a stubborn elderly couple walked right through our bridal processional. There were also a number of other couples who had traveled to the park just to take wedding photos, however thankfully our photographers were great and worked around them so the park looks deserted in our photos!

My husband and I were married on the east lawn and had our reception at Le Jardin. The experience of working with the staff and the day itself could not have been more perfect. All of the guests raved about the food and the setting of the venue. I highly recommend spending the extra money to reserve the cottage. It was so convienient to have a place to get ready that day and also a place to cool off and have snacks before the ceremony. The banquet staff were so accommodating. They made sure that we ate and packed up our cake for us to snack on the next day since we didn't have a chance to eat that night. Bryanne was very attentive and helpful during the planning process. We live out of state so majority of the planning was done over the phone and on sporadic visits. Thank you so much Cantigny for hosting a day we will remember for the rest of our lives. The setting allows for gorgeous pictures to be taken throughout the park and we are so fortunate to have found this venue.

We had our ceremony at Cantigny's East Lawn. It was a beautiful location. Everything went well except we had asked for an extra side table to put some pictures on, but they gave the table to our DJ. Not a big deal, as we just put the pictures on the center table where we had our sand ceremony.
We had our reception at Le Jardin, the onsite room in the visitor's center. The only problem we had was they had forgotten to put a runner on our head table, and we had paid for it. We probably could have been reimbursed but never got around to fighting the issue. Other than that, everything was great. The food was delicious.
Bride and groom, you might want to let the waiters know to not take your food away without checking with you. My wife was in the bathroom and they took her plate away. She hadn't eaten much yet because she was nervous about our first dance.

My husband and I loved our ceremony and reception at Cantigny! Everything was gorgeous. Both the ceremony and reception were set up in a timely manner and the staff was great! During the reception the dinner was timed perfectly. I also have to say that the bartending staff was GREAT. I loved that they looked like they were having a great time and they were so nice and friendly. The food tasted great and we received many compliments about how great the food and the portions were. For this location I would recommend using a wedding coordinator (Weddings by Denise) because the Cantigny event planners are not supposed to be used as your personal coordinator. I worked with both Magan and Niguel at Cantigny. Magan was great very helpful and responsive. Niguel left more to be desired, she was not very responsive, however she still got the job done and our wedding was great. Cantigny does have a cost minimum as do a number of other locations, and if you have at least 140 people it isn’t too bad. I would recommend this location to any bride looking for a gorgeous outdoor location!

Amazing venue!!! When we booked they did not have coordinators to assist with day of ceremonies. However, since I believe they restructured and now have coordinators which was a tremendous help and relief! However, one is an intern also and the others are very young and new. They meant well and worked very hard; however, the lack of experience was noticeable. Thankfully, I had a family member assist in making sure the ceremony ran smoothly and to say it honestly, without her help the ceremony wouldn't have been what it was supposed to be. Several unexpected things went wrong (as will happen), although out of everyone's control everyone handled things well from my understanding. However, the had difficulty thinking and figuring out how to problem solve through things that needed to be fixed on the spot. Overall, a great experience I WOULD do it all over again and would NOT have it any other way. The girls were professional, responsive to emails, very engaged but just young, inexperienced and quiet. I would recommend having a friend help oversee things day of. Thank you Cantigny! I mean this place is just beautiful!
Also, there is a 72 hour window in which you can cancel your reservation and get your money back in the event of bad weather, etc. NO tents allowed, will supply speakers, chairs, and a table. Very helpful and will work with you!

Cantigny was a wonderful place for us to have the ceremony and reception. Because both were there, we were guaranteed a back up space for the ceremony in case of bad weather. It put my mind at ease knowing I didn't have to worry about anything either way.
The reception was in Le Jardin. One of the reasons we picked it was because it doesn’t look like a typical banquet hall. Windows cover two of the walls and the back wall has a fireplace. Also included was the patio outside and a smaller, quieter area with comfy chairs right outside the restaurant, at no extra cost.
There is a food and beverage minimum, which was reasonable for the amount of people we invited. Another selling point was the ease of figuring out how much the reception would cost per person. It was easy to tell if we’d hit the minimum or if we’d have to add more in order to meet the minimum. Our package included 4 apps, open bar, soup, salad, entree, wedding cake, wine during dinner, basic linens, all on a per person basis. We picked package number 2. The less expensive package had less options and the more expensive package included more things.
Daphne at Le Jardin was wonderful. Despite the high volume of weddings at Cantigny, she did a great job of making me feel like I was the only one on her agenda. She had a lot of great ideas that made planning certain aspects of the reception a lot easier. Daphne and a bartender, Kevin, also helped come up with a signature beverage for us. This was also at no additional cost. She also had me bring in everything for the ceremony and reception the day before the wedding so her staff could set up everything up for us. It was little things like that that really showed she was on top of her game.
All the feedback from my guests was positive. Many of them said Le Jardin had the best food out of any wedding they had gone to. Everyone loved how beautiful Cantigny was and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

As everyone else has said, the gardens and reception hall (we used the Red Oak Room) sell themselves. Karen was great walking us through the whole process. It rained on our wedding day but they took it in stride, tracking us down to make sure we knew and were ok with switching to the rain backup and then the gate was directing people to the new location. Because our ceremony was at Red Oak Room our rain backup was a covered patio looking over a lake and golf course that was just as great as the gardens. The food was great, the guests loved it and everything went smoothly despite the last minute rain changes.
The only things I can knock them for is that they aren't cheap with a food and drink minimum (but totally worth it) and their working hours were a little odd with Mondays off and busy on weekends so it sometimes took a day to get back to us but Karen was always helpful when she did.

Beautiful venue with a few drawbacks
When we first toured Cantigny we both knew it was the place we wanted to have our wedding ceremony and reception! Our coordinator, Taylor, was very helpful and responsive and put us at ease while we planned all of the details for our wedding reception. Gina, the ceremony coordinator was also very positive and helped us take some basic ideas and make them into a beautiful ceremony. However, on the day of the rehearsal and the actual wedding, we did not see Taylor or Gina. There were several other staff members helping out but they were not as familiar with our plans or setup. We also had a hard time finding good locations to take pictures in the park because it was a crowded summer day and unfortunately we could not get all of the photos we wanted. It would have been beneficial to have someone on staff nearby to help with this, especially because we were even asked to show a photo permit to someone on staff so clearly they were not aware we were having our wedding there. The ceremony went as planned and we were very happy with it. At the reception, the catering staff was attentive and helpful but again, we would have appreciated it if one of the coordinators or their assistants had checked in on us. When the wedding ended we quickly tried to gather everything up and we were very disappointed when the sprinklers outside of the Woodside Pavilion turned on as we were trying to assist my husband's 90-year-old grandmother with getting into a car. Unfortunately, she and many other guests were wet when they drove home. We also were disappointed no one on the Cantigny staff reached out to see how everything went. We really loved our wedding and reception at Cantigny but we did feel like less of a priority with all of the other weddings going on and the sprinkler situation was really not okay. I would recommend booking Cantigny for your wedding but I would make sure to discuss with your coordinators how they will be supporting you on the day of your wedding and who will be directly helping you, even if there are several other weddings on the same day.

I really love the grounds at Cantigny - the entire place is beautiful, and Le Jardin is a really wonderful room as well, with big windows and a fireplace and high ceilings. The food was excellent, as well, and, as far as I know, the staff were all friendly and professional, with the exception of Niguel Fink, who we're pretty sure was fired about two months before our wedding. Everyone involved in the wedding planning was thrilled when we found out - she was terrible to get a hold of, unhelpful, abrupt, and not clear in a lot of her communication. My husband and I had plotted jokingly about complaining to the right people (which we never did) to get her fired so we could work with someone else. Meghan Hull was our contact for the rest of the planning, and she was about as helpful as she could be for being thrown into a new position - still a little hard to get a hold of, but definitely more communicative and helpful.

Cantigny was a beautiful place to have our outdoor wedding! The service and the food was wonderful, and everyone commented on how beautiful the location was. It did mist throughout most of our wedding day, but Cantigny was in constant communication with us regarding the location and set up for the ceremony. If a last minute switch was needed we were assured that it would be taken care of.
We did feel the need to take off a couple of stars for professionalism. We booked our venue far in advance, and Cantigny offered to add extra benefits onto our package. Our coordinator made a written note, so we assumed that this offer would be honored. When it came time for our planning meeting the same coordinator could not find any notes regarding the offer and stated that Cantigny would not honor it. This is partly our fault. We should have asked for the change to be added to our contract so that we would have written proof of the offer as well. In the end, they did add it, but we were slightly annoyed that we had to argue to get them to honor their word.
Our only other hiccup was with the Rose Garden. Cantigny emailed to notify us that the roses' were not blooming as scheduled and offered to switch our ceremony site. We decided to keep the spot and hope that more roses came in. At our run through the day before the roses were in full bloom, and we were informed that the garden was replanted. Though pleasantly surprised, it would have been nice to know that this was an option when we were first contacted. It would have saved us some stress, and we would have been upset if we had decided to switch to a meadow when we could have had the rose garden replanted to get our desired location.
Overall, the day and staff were wonderful, and I would recommend them to anyone wanting an outdoor wedding ceremony. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable and helpful. We got beautiful pictures and had a wonderful time.

We had our ceremony and reception held here. The best thing about Cantigny for us turned out to be the food. Everything to this day is saying it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Because it rained a pretty significant amont on our wedding day we couldn't have the ceremony outside as planned, nor could we utilize the beautiful grounds for pictures as planned. But, Cantigny had a backup plan and we were able to hold the ceremony inside. The only negative thing i will say is that they were often slow to get back to me even though i would utilize the phone and email to communicate. That was very frustrating at times. But again, another positive was that they were super flexible with us. Also, our cake, which was phenomenal and came from an outside bakery was included in our package price.

Beautiful location, great food, professional staff, excellent cake vendor. Would have liked the opportunity to do a taste testing before choosing our menu, and responsiveness from the coordinator was not the greatest until we were about a month out from the date of our reception. Other than that, things went quite smoothly, and they tried to accomodate our requests as much as possible.

I've just had my wedding here. The Cantigny Gardens is just beautiful and allows so much opportunity to capture wonderful pictures. We were fortunate to have good weather for our garden ceremony which was very romantic.
The Red Oak Room has a great view of the golf grounds which gave the room an open, nature-like feeling. The patio was a great addition for those who want to smoke cigarettes or get some fresh air. They have a nice little lounge when you first walk in, which the cocktail hour was served in. The food wasn't bad considering it was a buffet and banquet-like food. The managers even accommodated us by giving us a huge discount on the garden we wanted but wasn't in our budget, which was very nice!
Overall in the end, it was a good experience. So why the 3 stars? Well to me, customer service is very important. The manager and assistant banquet managers were very hard to get a hold of which was very upsetting. I would literally have to call 10x a day to get a hold of someone, on top of emailing both managers. Sometimes they returned my calls at the end of the day, sometimes the following. For some people it's not a big deal but I was planning a wedding in 2 weeks and time was very crucial. They did not help with the nervousness I've felt. Don't get me wrong, they were very nice people at Cantigny. But the lack of customer service compelled me to write this review despite the good things.
Don't let me discourage you though, this place is a beautiful venue to hold a wedding and affordable, just be patient with the managers.

If I could do it all over again, I would have done our reception elsewhere. We went with Cantigny because a coworker of mine had their reception at the Red Oak Room a few months before we got engaged and had fantastic things to say. Our experience was not good at all. They were hard to get a hold of via email and telephone. We went through 3 banquet managers in the course of our signing to our wedding. The first one we signed with, Magan Asher, would respond to emails in all caps (which maybe she did not mean it to be yelling but netiquette says don’t do that). Niguel Fink (who we think was let go) was uninformative and terrible about returning emails. When we met with her, she never mentioned that there were additional charges for certain times. We were not told until 2 weeks before the wedding the Niguel was no longer there and Meghan Hull would be taking care of things (except for our wedding, which Magan Asher was in charge of). H would call Megan Hull and leave messages and emails and she would never respond. She once told him to call one morning between 9 and 10 which he did and it went to the voicemail that says they are in. She did not return his call and wasn’t in again for several days. He wound up meeting with them a few days before the wedding because they could not keep their stories straight. The day of the wedding, things they told us were not happening (we were told we could start setting up the reception at 3 and my helpers came at 3 to set up and were rudely told they couldn’t start until 5). They also sent our florist away when she was trying to deliver our chuppah arrangements. When we forgot plates for our tisch and my MOH went to ask for some napkins, they made a huge deal about giving us a stack of napkins. However, the reception went off very well and our guests never knew about the problems. Magan Asher also brought us some appetizers for our yichud which I greatly appreciate.

Everything pre-wedding was great! Karen was very helpful, and went out of her way to make things perfect for us. It did take a little longer than preferred to get phone and email responses from her, but I always got a response.
However, on the morning of the wedding, she overslept and was 2 hours late arriving. Making it worse, the staff lied to me, my husband, and family and told us her dog got skunk’ed (I know she lied because when we were talking with a golf club staff member, as soon as he hung up with her he said that she had overslept. 20 minutes later, I was told the “dog” story). Then to make it worse, when she arrived, she came to check in with me and NEVER apologized for being late. Then, between the ceremony and reception, she came up to me to remind me that the bill hadn’t been settled yet. In addition, there was a HUGE mess with the linens (see BBJ Linen’s review) which I believe could have been prevented if Karen had been on time and if the ceremony site (where the linens accidentally got delivered) had communicated with the reception site.
On a positive note: The golf staff was AMAZING at organizing in Karen’s absence! They went out of their way to make sure I got whatever I needed and that they room was as perfect as possible. Also, it rained that morning, so we had to move the ceremony inside – again the staff was awesome and efficient at setting up the patio for our ceremony. Cantigny refunded us the price of the linens and the price of the outdoor ceremony site which I felt was appropriate given Karen’s tardiness.
The food and cake were AMAZING!! I got more compliments on the cake than anything else that day. The reception was perfect from start to finish.
In the end, I would recommend Cantigny for a reception, just maybe not a morning wedding/afternoon reception. And check in with them if you are having rentals delivered there.

I recently held a wedding at Cantigny Park on June 29th in the East Lawn followed by a reception in the Red Oak room. The site it self is BEAUTIFUL and my photo's came out perfectly. However for a service level stand point communication was a struggle. It would take sometimes over a week to get a response from anyone, and frustration constantly grew when every time I emailed them I got an auto out of office response. I also was part of the 9 brides who were affected by the Oak tree falling on the lawn. I was assured 3 days before my wedding that the caution tape would be removed prior to the wedding and when I arrived to the ceremony to walk down the aisle I started my walk by having caution tape lifted over my head. Though this wont happen to every bride I felt like I didn't have one person assigned to my wedding and I would suggest when booking to request one of the women out of the visitors center. If Karen tries to plan your wedding request someone else she is not deeply involved in weddings and it felt as if I was a second priority. Regardless, the pictures alone are worth the investment in this location it is a well maintained and beautiful place.

We live close by and have visited Cantigny hundreds of times, always were captivated by the gardens and the idea of a park wedding ceremony. Our experience did not necessarily live up to the reputation/hype....Cost to be married on the grounds in full view of all park goers was very expensive. People, families walked right up behind the pastor, bride and groom during the ceremony and talked and are in the photos. We were not allowed to park in the lot close to the Mansion which would have been most convenient for elderly family. The planner was curt and businesslike..placating...the least amount of contact as possible. The Clubhouse Red Oak room is very dated not very elegant. While there were no major surprises...just minor glitches, we were completely dissatisfied with the chicken entree. Food presentation was beautiful, but the quality was poor. Our wedding was very small--several guests work in the hospitality industry and VPs- we were embarrassed---and it wasn\'t a case of too many meals to prepare at a time. We followed up with planner and banquets manager by email in a very diplomatic way-not asking for any concessions..just \'you may want to know if we would recommend to others or Not- and now a month later still have not even had a follow-up email response from anyone. They continually said we have a \'great reputation\', we do this every weekend and your wedding will be wonderful. We were also a bit dismayed an event was scheduled in the same room with only a 90 minute change over so we were unable to see the reception room before we arrived...a bit unsettling as a MOB. It did work out, but all in all I would NOT recommend a reception at the RED OAK room at Cantigny Park-certainly not worth the money.

Everything about Cantigny is beautiful, however, the event coordinator (for Le Jardin) and service with the exception of the bartenders needs major improvement. The ceremony locations and reception room sell them selves, however, it was very difficult to work with the coordinator because they are not flexible at all! They have their own schedule and you have to stick to it. The main coordinator was not present at our reception and did not communicate all the details with the day of coordinator. That was very frustrating! Our other vendors: florist (All Flowers by Marissa) and DJ (Sounds Abound) saved the day! The reception room was looking fantastic and the DJ kept the night right on track. One other major disappointment is that they do not have individual tastings. We had to go to an expo to taste the food. While we tasted the food, everything was cold and not properly seasoned. We were really nervous about the food, but when we tried everyting at the wedding it tasted great. In my opinion, this place was expensive, so I think an individual tasting should be given. So, if you don't mind a difficult coordinator, this is a fantastic place. The gardens and reception room are absolutely beautiful.

Not a 5 Star Venue in My Opinion
My son had his wedding there and unfortunately it rained that day. Their back-up plan was terrible. Ceremony took place on a cement back porch with NO heating. It was in the 30s that day and you could see everyone's breath. They do not have the facilities available for a comparable back-up, nor were they willing to refund any of the 2500 paid for the rose garden reception which never took place there. Terrible customer service. Would NOT recommend this venue for the prices they are charging. Not 5 star in my book.
