    Fairytale Venue

    This venue is an absolute dream! My dad's friend is the owner of this property, and I’ve been coming here regularly since I was a little girl. When the barn was built, I immediately knew that I wanted to get married there one day, so much so, that my husband and I took a trip to the property, and this is where he proposed to me! It is truly breathtakingly beautiful! Away from the hustle and bustle, it’s the perfect rustic wedding! My girls and I had fun getting ready in the beautiful peacock hall while the men got ready in the barn. I just love the full set of windows on the backside of the barn that let in lots of light, and it’s so spacious and rustic inside the barn! We chose to have the ceremony out in the courtyard and have the reception in the barn, and it was perfect! And there are so many places around the property to take beautiful pictures—it was a dream! As if the scenery and location weren’t enough to sell you, I can’t even begin to express my gratefulness for the kindness and flexibility shown by the staff. We had to move our wedding at the last minute due to the groom coming down with covid the week before our original wedding date, and they were so accommodating and helped me to change dates easily. Thank you to Rachel Bourdon (the venue director) and John Tatum (the owner) for sharing this beautiful space with us and making all my childhood dreams come true!

    Beautiful Wedding Venue!

    Booked this venue after an awesome tour with Rachel. She was so helpful and kind throughout my entire wedding planning process. The venue itself is gorgeous, and I would definitely recommend this venue.

    Perfect venue!

    Never even toured another venue! We knew Homestead at Cloudland Station was the perfect place for our wedding! Rachel and Ramey were so great to work with and made sure everything was just like I had dreamt of!

    so freaking beautiful

    This place was the first place we toured and we booked by the end of the day. The setting was perfect. The barn was what i wanted. I loved that i could make it however i wanted it. Ramey was a DREAM to work with. The literal best. My day was perfect. It rained up until my ceremony the the wet wood of the barn literally made my pictures pop. IT was the best day ever. Couldnt recommend enough!

    I had my dream wedding at The Homestead in early October. First all, the venue is absolutely Gorgeous! It was everything I wanted and more. All of our guests were amazed at how beautiful the venue was. The mountains, lake and an italianate farm house backdrop were just perfect for our style. The venue itself is so pretty that you hardly have to think much about additional decorations. It had a wide variety of places to take photos and to have the ceremony/reception. John and Ramey were very helpful and made our day run smooth. I highly recommend The Homestead for any occasion. Thank you John and Ramey for being so accommodating and working with me.

    Everyone especially Abby and Frankie were wonderful to work with! People are still telling me how beautiful the venue was. You can literally go here and not put down one decoration and it still be the most beautiful Wedding you've ever been too. If I could do it all over again I would absolutely choose this venue, and the people from the venue that helped me 1000 times over.

    The Homestead at Cloudland Station provided us with the perfect scenery for our April 30 wedding. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and responded promptly to any questions or concerns. The crew onsite made sure everything was set up the day of the rehearsal/wedding. Lovely venue!

    The Homestead is the most beautiful venue we saw in the Chattanooga area - from the ceremony to cocktail hour, dinner in the barn and a dancing tent on the lawn. Our guests are still talking about how it was the most perfect place that they had ever been for a wedding.

    And for us, the team (especially Abby) was warm, welcoming, and so professional. Could not recommend more highly.

    Such a great location...very pretty and we used both the barn and the front lawn. The staff is very easy to work with, and they made sure all of our vendors were accommodated as well. There are so many opportunities for great wedding photos both indoors and out.

    We had our wedding at the Homeland at Cloudland Station, and we are so glad we did! Not only was the venue beautiful, but the staff was amazing and so accommodating! Tom and I truly felt at home, making the day even more special. The barn, the main house, and the grounds are stunning, and our pictures turned out beautifully due to the gorgeous backdrop we were lucky enough to have.

    I highly recommend the Station as a wedding venue or for anything else.

    LOVE the Homestead! It's so charming and unique, but completely customizable. The staff, location, and style of this venue is truly unmatched. Our wedding day was an absolute fairytale.

    I had my wedding and reception here two weeks ago and it was beyond everything I had hoped for!! The place itself is Ridiculously perfect, but the people make just as much of a difference. Everyone at Cloudland was so helpful and delivered on all of the promises made. I would FOR SURE recommend The Homestead at Cloudland Station to anyone looking for the perfect outside wedding venue!! And it makes for some pretty phenomenal pictures too ;)

    I loved my wedding and this was the perfect venue. I live an hour away so I booked the cottage for my bridesmaids and I to stay in and it was great. There are so many picture perfect places there and the staff is very helpful.

    The venue was beautiful and our wedding was perfect. At times, it was difficult to get in touch with the venue and I often ended up texting the owner with questions (which I hated to do on his personal phone). The price also seemed higher than expected, but we were willing to pay for such a beautiful location that could accommodate our larger group.

    The setting for the Homestead at Cloundland Station is spectacular and just what we were looking for. The facilities are wonderful. They were very accommodating when we wanted to come by or bring one of the vendors by. It was a little frustrating when I received a call Thursday before the wedding about where I wanted to tables to be set up in the barn when the setting up the tables had been scheduled for Friday, & I had to run out there with no notice. They had changed the day because it was more convenient for their staff to move tables & chairs on Thursday. I would have appreciated more notice. The parking was an issue for me, and I would have golf carts shuttle guests from their cars to the barn if I were doing another event there. Overall it was a lovely reception!

    Difficult to work with!

    The venue and facilities are very nice. The event staff was nice and helpful. The owner was horrible to work with. Very inflexible and difficult to work with. We had written permission to have the tent removed by 1:00 the next day and then one month before the wedding, the owner said that was no longer allowed. She then would not let us use another vendor who could meet the timeline. She would not let us have the golf cart we needed for older guests be picked up the next day. Do yourself a favor and find another venue.

    Thank you for your feedback, and I’m genuinely glad you enjoyed our venue and event staff. We truly strive to make every celebration special.

    Regarding your concerns, our policies are in place to protect all of our couples and ensure each event runs smoothly. In your case, our contract specifies that tents and outside rentals cannot interfere with another couple’s event. Unfortunately, your tent vendor was unable to guarantee removal within a reasonable timeframe for the next day’s wedding. The alternative company you suggested had previously failed to meet pickup timelines, which could have risked our other bride's event. For the same reason, we can’t allow vehicles or golf carts to remain on the property overnight when another wedding is scheduled — both for space management and liability protection.

    While we regret that these limitations caused frustration, our decisions were made solely to ensure fairness and a seamless experience for every couple using our venue. We wish you all the best and are glad your day was otherwise beautiful.

    Beautiful Setting Terrible Service

    We rented both venues for our daughter's wedding. The wedding coordinator and property manager are two of the worst people I have ever worked with. They made the events nearly impossible at every turn. They promised things that they did not follow up on and did not return the groom's or our deposits. It truly is not worth the stress to deal with these unprofessional people.

    Candlelight Forest's reply:

    The groom contracted for one-day access to our Homestead venue for a dinner party the day prior to the wedding. The bride contracted for one-day access to our Ridge Rose venue for the wedding. Both venues were not rented for a two-day wedding. The bride's family trespassed onto both venues on the days they were not allowed to be there and then demanded access into buildings outside their contracted time frames, which we were not able to accommodate.

    We do not have a contract with the person writing this review. We did, however, enjoy seeing ceremony pictures of him and his daughter, the bride, on her Instagram account, captioned "The most perfect day!" We are so glad we were able to provide a wonderful experience to our client, who was a beautiful bride. (The entire security deposit was refunded and mailed to the bride, as she is the person with whom we were contracted. She and her guests took great care of the venue, which we appreciated). Best wishes to the bride and her new husband for a long and happy marriage!
