This venue has it all! We got married outside overlooking the canal, our happy hour was on the balcony, you walked right inside to the dinner, and walked upstairs for the reception. There were rooms downstairs for both bride and groom party where we could relax, do last minute touches and enjoy some bubbly and snacks throughout the day. Mandy and Emily were with me every step of the way since November 2018 for our September 2019 wedding. I feel people go into weddings with a fear of hidden costs and secret charges you know nothing about, but the staff was very upfront on every item and did not mind answering the hard questions. The cost is TOTALLY worth everything Canal 337 can provide with gorgeous views, delicious food and a location you can't beat in Indianapolis! Mandy was such a joy to work with and it felt great having another wedding coordinator there who had been part of the experience from the beginning. My guests still talk about this venue!!

Fabulous place for a wedding! Great view, even on a rainy day, great venue all around. It transformed into a beautiful ceremony and reception place. The food had a very nice appetizing presentation and taste great! Staff was courteous and very professional. I cannot imagine wanting to have a wedding anyplace else!

From the moment, my fiancé and I walked into Canal 337 we knew this was our venue – butterflies in our stomachs, a few tears and just an utter gut feeling that this venue was exactly what we were looking for. We knew we wanted a vintage/historic vibe with classic and timeless touches, and canal 337 fit the bill. The venue itself is breathtaking from the 2nd floor ceremony with the high cathedral ceilings, beautiful wood accents, and black wrought iron finishes. The first floor is fabulous with beautiful chandeliers that are throughout the floor with a beautiful wooden bookcase that was used to have greenery & candles! The entire building is yours, which is so nice to not have to share the venue with anyone. The cocktail hour outside was great to have our guests enjoy a beautiful April sunny day and enjoy the downtown views of the canal and Indianapolis! The process was a little bumpy at first with several employee turnovers and some past reviews, that left my fiancé and I a little on edge. After working with a few individuals, we came to realize that those past reviews reflect previous management and should not be held to high regard. Kirsten and Mandy eased all those concerns when they took over as our account manager and event producer for our wedding! They were kind, patient, sweet and answered every and all question we had throughout the entire process. On the day-of the wedding, they were phenomenal helping our wedding planner make sure everything went off without a hitch and managing our guests’ questions! They made our big day an absolute fairy tale! We had numerous individuals come up to us and tell us this was the best wedding food they had ever had! And the most beautiful wedding they had been too! If we could do it all over again, we absolutely would choose Canal 337 again and again! It was truly magical

Canal 337 was the perfect wedding venue for us! Not only is it beautiful inside and out, with a great location, from the tour through the reception, everything about working with them was easy. Emily and Mandelyn worked with us through our first tour to our wedding day, and both were a pleasure to work with and incredibly responsive and kind. We were planning remotely and we wanted to customize a lot of things, and they made it so painless! On the day of our event, the weather caused a few mishaps, and Mandelyn and the crew handled each one with ease! We even had a problem with our cake through a third party vendor and they took care of it for us, even driving to get the replacement, so we didn't have to! Everything about our experience with Canal 337 and Thomas Catering was amazing, and I'm SO grateful we chose to have our wedding here.

We had our wedding here in August and it was absolutely perfect! We fell in love with the building the second we walked in. It is almost as if we felt like we were home. There was a sense of comfort with the place. It has beautiful views of downtown along with being located right on the canal. Thomas Caterer's is absolutely amazing at what they do. Everything was organized perfectly and the food was absolutely delicious! I have zero regrets and would not change a thing. If you are looking for a unique elegant loft space venue, Canal 337 is your place. The team there is amazing and will help in any way possible to make your day the most amazing thing ever!

The venue is stunning! The caterer and event staff were very friendly and hard workers. The venue/food are a little pricey but the value of the service/food is worth every penny

It was important for my fiancé and I to have a space where we could hold both the ceremony and the reception. After meeting with the representative and she informed me we would have the entire building, I was sold. The style of the building and the interior finishes fit us so well. Everyone was happy and comfortable. In addition, multiple staff members were there to be sure everything was seamless. While it was expensive for us, the value of what you get in the city was so worth it.

After I informed Canal 337 that I would not be getting married there due to the negative reviews on The Knot, they apparently deleted their vendor listing from that website. BE WARNED!! They are trying to bury negative feedback.

I was looking forward to booking my wedding with them but was rudely hung up on multiple times when trying to call. The first time I asked to speak to a manager the lady hung up on me. No one bothered to help me, or call me back.

Honestly, I wish zero stars was an option. From start to finish, the staff at Canal 337 was difficult and unfriendly. Moreover, reiterating the review below, we dealt with 4 different event managers over a one year period and there was very little continuity in the process. In addition, this venue will nickel and dime you at every possible opportunity. They will provide you with an initial quote that basically covers providing peanut butter and jelly with paper plates and napkins, (slight exaggeration, but you get it), but they won't tell you that. Then, when it comes down to picking your meal and your decorations, you quickly find out that none of it was included in your original quote and suddenly your quote doubles or triples. Bread (yes, bread) is an additional $3 per person. Also, your "tasting" only includes entrees. If you want to taste appetizers, that's an additional charge. Ginger beer is an additional charge. Coffee is an additional charge. I could write a book about the number of items that they claim are in your quote, but are not. Just know that they purposefully mislead you regarding the cost so that you have made the deposit and are under contract long before you have to consider specifics. They also claimed their food and beverage license prohibited outside food and drink (including bottled water), which can't possibly be true as staff were spotted carrying personal water bottles on the premises. Any water consumed on the premises would need to be purchased from them (shocker). They will look for every possibility to take your money and add to your bill. Outside of that, the staff is very unfriendly. Our pastor was bossed around and criticized at our rehearsal because he wanted to do things slightly differently than the venue. Remember, this was our wedding service, not Canal 337's, but somehow that entire concept was lost on this staff. The owner of canal 337 is a horrible person. She made the bride and groom at the wedding I attended have a horrible night. She went through their bags and when she found 5 warm beers in a duffle bag that she went through she called the groom out literally as he was about to go see his bride for the ceremony. She also made the bridal party clear out their dressing room before the reception started so the poor bride ie carrying out her stuff into the street holding up the wedding because the owner didn't want it in there anymore... Even though no one else was going to use it. I had to write this review because she made the couple I celebrated have a horrible nighT for no reason.
