This was my husband's pick. He said he wanted either this or another place and I've never used them before and he had, so I contacted them to feel them out. Amazing communication and so helpful in planning. It's been so easy and relaxing with them. I don't feel anxiety and they truly want to make your time special. -

Krysten Sent on 07/05/2012Cameron Mitchell Catering was incredible from the very beginning. I was a very picky bride when it came to our wedding food but they were so accommodating! They were able to make whatever I wanted which ended up being so incredibly amazing. Our guests raved about our food and couldn't stop telling us how our wedding was the best one they have ever been to. The entire staff is passionate, caring & incredibly talented. Most brides say there are always things that go wrong but I can honestly say NOTHING went wrong. It all was so beautiful, so smooth and so stress free. We cannot thank The Darby House & Cameron Mitchell catering staff enough for all the hard work they do day to day to make us so happy! I would absolutely hands down recommend them to anyone. -

Kristine Sent on 08/03/2010Reilly Mariotti was our consultant and she is amazing, friendly, patient, professional, etc. She was always very polite no matter how many questions I had. She answered questions about more than just catering. Told me she would communicate with the manager at the venue the wedding was taking place since I could never get a hold of him. She just went above and beyond to make sure everything went perfect. It did go perfect and I didn't have to worry about a thing that they were doing.
We went to Martini Modern Italian for Rehearsal Dinner and everyone was blown away at the excellent service and food. Then again at the Wedding. We decided to do a sweetheart table and plated meal for us, buffet for guests. Everyone warned us we would not get to eat at all, but they were so wrong. Our portions for each course were huge and we ate so much thanks to Cameron Mitchell taking such good care of us that we couldn't clean our plates.
I have nothing but great things to say about this company. Great Job!! -

We never had to think about a single thing- it was always already taken care of. They treated my husband and I like a King and Queen! The food was superb; we received endless compliments from our guests about how incredible it was. And the service was flawless. They were attentive but not underfoot, courteous, professional yet friendly, and all around awesome! If you want your event to be one step above everyone else's then you MUST go with Cameron Mitchell. They will be the ultimate wedding planning partner to ensure your day is everything you dreamed of and more. -

Cameron Mitchell was amazing to work with for our wedding. Before we went for our tasting menu they asked us a few questions about us as a couple. When we showed up for the tasting they had created a menu that represented us as a couple - Food from where Bride was from, Food from where the groom was from, Food from where we met, and food from our first date. We ended sticking with the theme they presented us for our wedding. This menu translated to four different food stations. At first I was worried it would be like a buffet, but Cameron Mitchell set it up, where it was nothing like that. All of our guests loved our food and commented on how creative and delicious it was. -

We couldn't have had a better experience with Cameron Mitchell. Their hors d' oeuvres are superb and are only complemented by the staff that serve them. Prior to the wedding we had the opportunity to sample some the hors d' oeuvres options and ended up choosing a few we didn't try from their lengthy, master list. We didn't regret it and only wished we could have had more.
Our plated dinner was much the same experience. Wonderful, tasty food served by polite and professional staff. All around a fantastic experience ! -

Kristyn Sent on 12/19/2011The food was hands down the best wedding food I have ever tasted. You can not go wrong with Cameron Mitchell. The upside down french toast was such a hit and we even had to ask for the recipe. HIGHLY recommend Cameron Mitchell! -

Lindsay Sent on 07/17/2011As can be expected from Cameron Mitchell, our food was unbeatable. The menu that was compiled for us was creative, eclectic, and delicious. However, thank goodness the food was exceptional, because the service was lacking. The service staff and bartenders who worked our event were wonderful – very friendly and attentive. My major complaint would be with the catering manager. Examples of the lack of organization were that 22 bottles of champagne were “misplaced” (our wedding planner, found them), the labels we had made for the cookie table were lost (never found), a gift we had for our youngest guest was not given to him until I approached someone, coffee was not made until my dad specifically asked (we had a coffee station… with no coffee)… with as much experience as they have in event planning, the lack of organization was unexpected. -

I've come to the conclusion that the reviews I've read about them not wanting to do smaller receptions is quite accurate. November 8th was the last time I've heard from Krystin Van Horn, the Director of Sales. I've followed up several times via email and left a voicemail message.
If they don't do receptions under a certain number? Communicate that. If it's a busy season due to the holidays and the response time is slower? Communicate that. If the wedding is too far in advance and they'd rather provide a proposal closer to said date? Communicate that.
The venue we chose has them down on their list of caterers that they will only use. I plan on sharing my experience with them in hopes they remove them since the venue is for small to medium sized weddings. Every wedding planning site I am on, I will be posting about this experience.
It's a shame I can leave a review not based on what they actually do, but on how they don't feel I'm good enough to get around to doing what they actually do.
If you have a smaller wedding/reception, I'd look elsewhere.
