Wedding Photography

Matt has photographed my sisters' weddings in addition to my own recently! He's incredibly skilled, fun, creative, and flexible. He has an eye for detail and catches all the special moments in the most creative ways! He makes everyone feel comfortable, and his pictures turn out absolutely beautiful. We are so thankful and could not recommend more highly!!

Nothing But Good Things to Say!

I wanted to wait a little while before I wrote my review. First, Matt was extremely responsive from the moment I reached out, interested in Camelot Photography. Matt had a brief phone conversation with me and was very willing to listen to me (I was very certain in what I was looking for) and by the end of the conversation, I knew Matt was the photographer we wanted. We did our engagement photos with Camelot Photography and asked about including our pups for just a few shots and it was a hit! Our youngest dog was a little uncooperative but Matt was super professional and was able to use his photoshop magic and fix those pictures. For the two of us, who hate having our pictures taken, Matt was awesome! He made the engagement photo experience a breeze and definitely relaxed my now husband. Our wedding date fell in the middle of the pandemic, yet we still wanted to get married but much more scaled down. Our wedding of 130+ became a wedding of 9. It's been 6 months and my in laws are still raving about how wonderful it was to work with Matt. They loved that he made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. He was the perfect fit to our wedding day from his professionalism to his skill. Working with Matt and Camelot Photography is an experience we will never forget.

Jaw dropping photos

Matt was extraordinary! My whole bridal party was in awe of good he was. He would do a little dance to get us loosened up and laughing so our photos wouldn't look stiff. Also, I truly think he's part ninja with the way he moves- he captured photos I didn't even know he was there for. I knew I wanted a great photographer from the start and I think I hit the jackpot. Especially since the pandemic caused our wedding to go from 200+ guests down to 20; I'm so glad I have lots of beautiful pictures to go through with all my friends and family that couldn't be there. These are the photos I'm going to show my kids/grandkids one day and I could not be more proud of how they turned out. Cannot stress enough how highly I recommend Matt with Camelot Photography.

Matt is highly experienced and has been in the photography business 20 plus years. He is easy to work with and does a great job of walking you through his whole process. He never tries to hard sell you when you initially meet with him. Matt is very detailed oriented and goes over exactly what you want prior to wedding day. Make sure to tell him any requests you think of the day of the wedding or leading up to it and he will accommodate you.

Our wedding day just passed so I haven't seen the images yet, but I'm confident they will be great. He makes everyone feel comfortable from kids to adults. Also, his pricing is great. You can't go wrong with Matt!!!

Honestly could not have possibly asked for more. Matt provided exceptional pictures that exceeded our expectations. Finding a photographer was one of the most difficult tasks and the minute we sat down with Matt we knew the search was over. He is passionate about his work, is very professional and was very responsive throughout the process. I have already recommended him to others and they have been equally as impressed....overall he was the best wedding vendor we worked with and was worth every penny.

Camelot Photography and Matt are simply THE BEST. He photographed our wedding in June (and our engagement photos in February) and it was all seamless, stressless and wonderful - everything the bride and groom want it to be on their special day!

Not only did his fun personality put our wedding party, families and us at ease throughout the day, but the pictures were so amazing that I can't begin to praise them enough.

Matt had his own ideas and they were creative, artistic and beautiful (as you can see in his gallery) but he was also very open to my thoughts about certain places and pictures I had in my vision and he made it all come true! Plus, the candids were fun, energetic and some of my favorite moments from the day.

My husband and I (and actually anyone you ask who was photographed at our wedding) would recommend Matt in a heartbeat to couples looking for a talented photographer to be a part of and capture your special day!

We hired Matt Garceau for our engagement and wedding pictures and he exceeded all our highest expectations! He was sooo fun to work with and he knew right what to do and how to position us in that moment. He makes everyone smile their brightest by his photographing technique. We can't say enough good things about working with Matt from Camelot Photography! We're both artists and therefore had high expectations for our wedding photos. The images we received were of such high quality and will absolutely withstand the test of time - they're well lit, well framed, included a great balance of posed and candid shots, and overall did an amazing job of capturing the mood of our wedding. Plus, we were given the rights to all of our photos so we are able to do whatever we want with them - there was no pressure to order prints or other items that we didn't need. Matt went above and beyond on the day of the wedding itself. He was so easy to work with and willing to accommodate all of our requests. We walked around outside in 80 degree weather with two dogs and he helped us select beautiful locations and stick to our schedule. Inside the venue, we dealt with a herd of confused relatives and friends and Matt did a great job keeping us all on task and getting all of the group shots that we had requested. Everyone at our wedding commented on what a great photographer we had. We also got married on a Tuesday so Matt gave us an awesome discount and traveled from Minneapolis, MN to Madison, WI. We just can't say enough about his professionalism, quality of the photos, his great personality, and an amazing price point on top of everything else. He did such an incredible job and I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know! Stop searching and go with Camelot Photography now - you won't regret it!

Matt was incredible to work with! We met him for the first time the day of our shoot and he made us feel completely comfortable. He has a great eye for what makes the best shots and willing to work with what you want too. I highly recommend using Matt/Camelot!

Matt did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding photos! I am so pleased with the variety; He captured the joy, fun and pure beauty of the day. There were amazing, more artistic photos of me and my husband, as well as exciting candid pictures of everyone else enjoying the day. There were both emotional and touching moments as well as silly, ridiculous moments that were captured for us to remember.

Matt was fun and flexible to work with. We had a dog in our engagement photos and young children in our wedding. His enthusiasm and positive energy rubbed off on everyone!

These pictures are everything we hoped they would be and I would strongly recommend Matt at Camelot for anyone's wedding.

There is no end to all the positive things I can say about Camelot Photography. But I'll give you some of the highlights since you bride to be's want to find the right photographer and believe when I say you don't not have to look any further.
•Matt with Camelot Photography was outstanding right from the first email correspondence we had. He was so crazy quick to get back to me and answer all my questions. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
• Meeting Matt face to face....OK I was totally sold already before then but ya...freaking awesome! So easy to talk to,flexible,understanding our particular needs as customers,friendly,professional,and STUNNING work to boot. That deal was officially sealed real darn quick.
•Wedding day. Only budgeted for 4 hours of photography. Honestly didn't need to go beyond that amount of time for our needs since Matt is so fabulous at what he does. He's like a ninja photographer I swear. Swooping in and getting like a bazillion shots almost completely understand undetected. My wedding party,family,and friends loved him. Holy cow that whole goofy ass hip swinging thing he does to capture real smiles..HILARIOUS! Oh and he's super remarkable with the kiddos too.
•Actual photos. Haven't gotten those yet since my wedding was just really recent.Matt loves what he does and puts his heart and soul into his work so you have to be willing to stick out the wait so he can complete his magic.
I hope this was helpful to all of you that are embarking on your quest to make your day perfect. I promise you that if you go with Camelot you won't regret it!

Camelot photography was the best! Super professional and organized. Matt was very helpful and had lots of great ideas, which was super important for us because we didn't know exactly what we wanted. All the photos he took were amazing and looked very candid. I loved having the option to email a link to our photos to family and friends.

I was one of those brides that did an annoying amount of research before booking any vendor. When I stumbled onto Camelot's website, I was BLOWN AWAY by how beautiful and unique the wedding photos were. I booked with Matt and I CANNOT PUT INTO WORDS how happy I was working with him. Honestly, the pictures I had always dreamed of having from my wedding day, I now have :) From the initial emails to hanging out with him on our wedding day....everything was perfect. So stress free and fun. His work ethic and patience are unbeatable. He works alone and still manages to capture EVERYTHING! My sisters getting married in April and she booked him too. Matt is easily one of the most talented photographers in the Twin Cities and I highly recommend him!

We enjoyed working with Matt from Camelot from the time we first contacted him all the way through 'post-production' of the pictures. We looked at many photographers for our wedding. We ended up going with Camelot because he took great pictures for my friend's wedding, and we could not pass up the price. He has many years of experience. He answered phone calls and emails very quickly. Ultimately, his photographs are absolutely beautiful. He was fun to work with on the wedding day. He took thousands of pictures, but was unobtrusive. We got many compliments from our guests on Matt's professionalism. He truly knows what his is doing--he knows about lighting, positioning of people for photos, and how to get guest's attention. He did this all in a fun, non-bossy way. We highly recommend Camelot!

I can't say enough how pleased I was with the pictures we got from Camelot. We went with Matt as our photographer and our pictures turned out AMAZING. People tell us that they look like they came from a magazine. We were on a very tight schedule for pictures on the day of our wedding and I was super concerned that we wouldn't get all of the pictures that we really wanted. Matt got every picture and a 1,000 more. They were all perfect. We got upwards of 1,200 pictures from the day. Matt was absolutely wonderful to work with! We had a very small & short winter wedding, so we didn't really fall under the category of any of the packages that they had, but he was willing to create a package for us and work with our budget. After talking to him for the first time, we were confident that he knew what he was doing, and boy did he exceed our expectations! He knew just how to make everyone smile, and not just smile, we were all rolling with laughter, which made for amazing, natural photos. Matt has an amazing personality and he made everyone comfortable. Best of all, he captured every single laugh and smile at our wedding. He somehow managed to be everywhere at once, this guy is a ninja! When we met with Matt for the first time, we shared (in jest) that we wanted to look back at the photos and remember the event as better than it actually was. It has been just over a year since we were married and I think the photographs that Matt captured actually fulfilled our wish!

We have framed several, they are hanging all around our house. Every day we wake up and go to sleep remembering that day and we could not be happier.

Matt was professional, fun, flexible and dedicated. He made our wedding day easy, made sure everyone had fun and still captured wonderful pictures despite the rain. Plus, the man does the best big veil and deep dip shots in the business.

It is so rare to get all of your loved ones and friends in one place; to capture not only the people, but the essence of the people is gold.

We hold Matt and Camelot in the highest regard. They are true artists and will not disappoint.

I can't say enough good things about Camelot Photography.

My wife and I hired Matt to photograph our wedding day after extensive research and price comparison. I, like probably everyone else reading this review, was worried about hiring the right photographer to capture our wedding. You only get one shot at it and you want to make sure you got the right person.

We spoke with Matt over the phone at first (We are from out of town) and he was very professional and polite and never pushed us to make a decision. He presented us options and let us decide if we wanted to use his services.

After meeting with him in person we liked his photographic choices and hired him. It was the best choice we could have made!

He arrived very early (Before his paid time) on the day of our wedding (Which is impressive because we had a morning wedding) to scout out the location and choose spots based on the weather patterns, lighting, foliage and many more factors I would have never thought of considering. As he explained, everything changes from day to day and knowing the conditions on your wedding day can affect the pictures dramatically.

He did an excellent job of blending in with the background and getting the pictures we wanted. I remember my wife commenting that she did not see him at certain points during our wedding, but once we saw the photos we were very impressed that he was able to get the photos he did without being conspicuous.

Matt's pictures we full of color and energy and he was excellent at capturing an important moment in our lives. We highly recommend Matt for anyone looking for a quality photographer.

We absolutely loved Melina for our photographer for our wedding. She was responsive throughout the entire process which is super huge in building trust for us since we do not live locally. Additionally, she is professional to work with and very laid back. She actually helped alleviate stress on the day. We just got our pics back and we can't stop looking at them. We almost want to get married again just to get more amazing pics. We'd definitely recommend her to our friends and family and we definitely will consider having more photography from them in the future.

We absolutely loved our experience with Camelot Photography. Photographer Lisa V. was amazing! Her warm personality and attention to detail provided a comforting and individual perspective to our Wedding Day. Numerous guests commented on her approach to capturing not only our experience of the occasion, but theirs as well. Lisa's Photojournalism style of photography was unique in "telling the story" of our day. The images are phenomenal and will provide us with a lifetime of physical memories. We will always cherish the moment our lives merged together and two families became one and we greatly appreciate how Lisa captured the essence of who we are. My husband and I highly recommend Camelot for any of your photography needs!

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding day was hiring Matt as our photographer. He did our engagement and wedding photos. We absolutely loved working with him and our guests thought he did a great job! He is fun and down to earth and he makes you feel comfortable. His pictures are amazing filled with vibrant color and candid moments that are one of a kind! I would hands down recommend him to anyone who needs a photographer!!!

I just wanted to let you know how ABOSUTELY AMAZING you were for my big day. I cannot wait to see all the pictures from the day. My guys and the wedding party were blown away by you and just loved your work! The parents were also VERY VERY HAPPY!!! Hours of picture taking can slowly drive a group like that crazy but they all said they wanted to keep taking pictures because of YOU! I cannot put a price on what you did for me that day. I will never forget it. I am so thankful for you and your amazing talent to help FREEZE TIME on the greatest day of my life. Because like everyone said, it would go extremely fast. And that it did, probably 100 times faster than everyone said it would.

We had an absolutely awesome experience with Camelot Photography. Matt was the photographer that did our engagement photos and our wedding and he was absolutely fantastic. Not only did the photos turn out great but Matt was a blast. He was very professional but also super fun. He made it easy to relax and just have a good time in front of the camera, and that definitely shows through in our photos. Words absolutely cannot express how amazing Matt is as a wedding photographer. He knows exactly how to direct people to get the best possible photo, he always has new ideas of interesting and unique photos, and he is just a genuinely nice person. He took our wedding photos a year and a half ago, and my husband and I still think back and are so glad we chose Matt. Our wedding reception coordinator got sick the day of, and Matt was able to tell us exactly what should be happening next... Definitely not his responsibility but it was really appreciated. We have been in multiple weddings in the wedding party since we got married, and no photographer has even come close to the detail and speed Matt had. He is a photographer who will tell you that you have a dot on your face or your skirt is stuck in your pantyhose - so that you don't regret your photos later. I cannot recommend him more. We chose Camelot Photography for our wedding, we hired Matt as our photographer. He was absolutely fantastic! He was very easy going and made us feel very comfortable. He was great with the children. So our wedding was in Indianapolis, on September 1st. We looked all over Indy for a photographer we really liked with no success. I had recently spent a few years in Minneapolis and developed a great affinity for the city and thought maybe I'll take a look there just to have something to compare against.

Well, I quickly found Matt at Camelot and was greatly impressed. He worked with us on travel arrangements and when it was all said and done the total cost was comparable to a local photographer.

Day of Matt was everywhere, he caught every moment. Dancing in the corner to little kids picking their nose. The pictures were outstanding and the best part in my mind is we got all of the rights to them.

Big thanks to Matt for making our wedding easy and memorable.

Matt of Camelot Photography photographed our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. There are no words that can describe how amazing he was. So creative in his shots and poses. The lighting was perfect in the posed photos as well as the candids! I have had so many compliments! Matt was super professional and very knowledgable about what looks good and what doesn't. He made everyone feel so comfortable and not at all self conscious. It was so great that Matt showed up to the wedding venue early to scope out some great areas that would be great for photos. He was also open to any ideas that I or my then-fiance had as well. I wish we could work with him again... but you only get married once! If I could give a bride-to-be one piece of advice it would be this: Your big day flys by at the speed of light. You won't be able to capture or remember everything in your head, because let's face it, you will be on an emotional rollercoaster from dawn until the cake is cut. That being said... Hire someone that will be there with you on your special day. Someone that will capture every special moment and breath-taking detail. Your bouquet will wilt and your cake will be gone, but your photos will be there forever. I wish I could post some of my photos on here so you could see just how amazing my photos turned out! I strongly recommend Camelot Photography to be there for you on your day that your fairy tale finally comes true. Best wishes to all brides on their upcoming weddings!

I really did my homework to find a wedding photographer and it really paid off! With the advancement in cameras and photoshop there are so many going out and buying nice cameras and calling themselves wedding photographers. This has saturated the market and is very unfortunate for those photographers with true talen. Of those with the true talen for wedding photography I really felt Matt stood out above the rest. Wow was I right. We couldn't be happier with our photos. I would recommend him again and again. Matt's photos are out there, take a look for yourself. Not only the wedding photos we saw of Matt's on his website drew us to him, but also the travel photos I found of his. The guy is a true artist. It was amazing to see an artist

Working with Matt from Camelot was absolutely wonderful! He made our day special by knowing exactly what to do, doing it efficiently and in a way that allowed us to enjoy the celebration. Out of all the photographers out there I would DEFINITELY choose Matt from Camelot again! We were so impressed with the photography service he and his company provided. They went above and beyond anything we could have ever expected, just to make things easy for us on our wedding day. The quality of the pictures were top-notch and the overall editing was flawless.

I could not have asked for a better photographer! Matt did a fabulous job on both our engagement and wedding photos. He was easy going, efficient, and gave great direction to our wedding party. It was such a smooth process from start to finish and we are so thankful for the opportunity to work with such an expert photographer. He went above and beyond our expectations, and even managed to get some amazing sunset shots we had requested with only minutes to spare! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I can not believe how happy I am with my experience with Camelot. Jenee and I just got married in June and we got our images back way before I thought we would. For you grooms out there, I can guarantee your wife will be so pleased with not only the end results but how fun the experience is during the wedding. This crew is so fun and flexible along with being SO Professional. The photos and images turned out amazing. Almost every photo you could see hanging on your wall. I was in a friends wedding who used Camelott photography and I just knew I had to use them as well. So I booked with Matt and I have had the best experience since day one. Matt is not only professional, but a joy to work with. Once we hired him I knew I had nothing to worry about as it related to capturing this important day. For any future event he will be our first & only call for photography. I would even consider moving an event day to work with him. Matt was the photographer for our wedding. He was recommended to us by a friend and we could not be happier with our decision. The pictures are AMAZING!!! Better than I would have ever expected. Matt is very professional and made my husband and I feel so comfortable (my husband is not usually very photogenic and he looked great and very natural in the pictures). He was the perfect blend of staying in the background and getting candid photos and being assertive enough to get the group pictures done quickly. I would recommend Camelot to anyone!

We found Camelot while at the Wedding Fair at the Minneapolis Convention center. I picked up so many info sheets that day from so many different photographers -I was overwhelmed. I'm very picky when it comes to my photos (worked in a photo lab for 5+ years and seen a lot of junky "wedding" photos) so after a couple months of research, I ended up emailing Camelot & 2 other companies a series of questions about prices and styles, etc. Camelot responded within hours answering every question I had asked, the 2nd place only answered a few questions, and the 3rd never answered at all. So we booked Camelot for our wedding day.

Melina was just wonderful to work with! We actually met up with her several months in advance to go through her portfolio and talk about what we wanted. Every time I checked in with the company and/or her they were always very prompt in returning my emails or phone calls.

We sent Melina a shot list, and we did everything on there that I wanted. The only photos I missed were one-on-ones with my bridesmaids, but that was an over-site on my part, not hers. She was very flexible with what we wanted, locations we wanted, or if I had a photo idea, or even if one of my wedding party had an idea. She managed her time very well and we got everything done before the ceremony with some time to spare. Photos of the ceremony & reception were fabulous, and the photos of the dancing were priceless!

We will highly recommend Camelot Photography to anyone!

Matt took a lot of pictures at the wedding and at the reception. He blended into the crowd so well...no one really realized he was taking all of those pictures. He had a high level of creativity which made the event so much fun. He had a way of making everyone so comfortable. Because of this, he captured everyone in their "natural" state. Having the pictures put on a disk to do with as we please was appreciated. There was no pressure to purchase anything through the photographer. I would highly recommend Camelot Photography for any event in the future. Thank you!!

We absolutely loved Matt of Camelot Photography. He was so laid back, yet he knows what he wants and how to do it. It was great to have someone that was actually relaxed the day of the wedding! We also really felt that he took the time to get to know us and bring out our personality in our pictures. We especially loved that we get the rights to our photographs and that there was a complimentary engagement session included in our package. We also took advantage of the 5% discount for paying in full when booking. It may not seem like a lot, but we saved a couple hundred dollars. Camelot Photography is a great business!

Matt was a great photographer. He was willing to work with us in whatever way we wanted! We were able to create a custom package when the standard one just didnt line up with what we were looking for. He was very personable, and made us feel right at home in front of the camera.

His photographic skills are amazing, and we look perfect in every shot - I had so many comments from my guests on how we must have everything on film, because he was able to capture everything!

We used Camelot photographers for three wedding events last year...one Hindu followed by a western dinner dance, one small civil ceremony and one grander at the Van Duesen Mansion. We were happy to have engaged Camelot to document all these happy times. The photographers were reliable and responsive. I like the fact that we own the photographs to print and use as we please.

Apparently if you want good photos you have to hire Matt, I went with one of the other photographers based on her very nice portfolio and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of work. The pictures of our wedding party were us standing in a line and that's it, many of the photos are grainy or overexposed and I don't have a nice picture of many important moments and I had to make due with grainy photos where people are making odd faces. She also didn't give us any direction so our wedding party was just standing around wondering what we were supposed to do half the time. I am pretty sad that this is what I got when I spent almost $3,000. I complained to Matt about the quality of the photos and he Photoshopped them (didn't help anything) and then when I told him that I wasn't satisfied he accused me of not actually looking at the photos and then ignored me. So..I'm out all of the money, with really nothing to show for it. Awesome.

I was very unhappy with my photos. Many of the photos were overexposed, I didn't get a single good picture of my Dad walking me down the aisle and she posted a picture in our album of my grandmother picking her teeth. For how much we spent I expected much more. I could have hired my friends teenage sister for 200 bucks and gotten just as good photos.
