The BEST Experience

Appreciation abounds for the talent and vision of Dottie Edwards (Inspired Design of NC) and Carole Murray (Calligraphy by Carole) for creating simple but elegant tablescapes for my son’s Rehearsal Dinner at the Country Club of Asheville in November. Fall blooms, berries and greens, magnolia leaf escort cards, welcoming signage and the cutest little painted pumpkins created a classic, clever backdrop for the evening. Professional service, meticulous attention to detail, and expert advice are just a few benefits of working with these two talented women!

Dreamy calligraphy for our wedding!

We got married at Cadillac Service Garage, which has a set of large chalk boards in the front room. Carole was recommended to us by the venue, and I am so thankful she was part of our team! I gave her my idea and she knocked it out of the park. She was able to take the monogram from the wax seal we used on our invitations and transcribe it onto the board, along with a beautiful order of events. It was a really special addition to our wedding day!

Carole Is So Professional & Produces Top Quality Work

Carole was absolutely one of our favorite wedding vendors. She was incredibly responsive and completed our envelopes quickly. There were no mistakes on any of the envelopes. Her calligraphy is stunning and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was. Excellent Experience!!

Carole's work is fantastic! She recently did the calligraphy on all the signage for my wedding and eveything was absolutely beautiful. Her attention to detail is superb and she was so accommodating with the delivery and pick-up of my order. I highly recommend her! You will not be disappointed.

There are not enough kind words to describe how phenomenal Calligraphy by Carole is! Carole is a true professional and an extremely genuine and kind person. We used her for invitations, seating chart, day-of signage, and rehearsal dinner place cards. She listened to all of our ideas and collaborated with us to ensure every detail was perfect :) everything actually turned out better than we were hoping for! Carole is extremely detail oriented and knows etiquette inside and out, so it was a very stress-free vendor relationship. I would recommend her services to every single person :) Calligraphy by Carole adds that extra something special to such an important day!

We couldn't have imagined the table seating chart on the mirror to look at amazing as it did. Carole was great to work with, professional, quick to respond and helped with great ideas/suggestions. Her experience shines through. The end product was absolutely stunning and added an elegant touch to my daughters wedding reception. THANKS CAROLE!!!

Carole was absolutely amazing as our wedding calligrapher. Her calligraphy is so beautiful, her prices reasonable, and she is just such a joy to work with! Carole definitely set our wedding invitations apart by addressing our envelopes with gold ink in her stunning flourish style. We even received compliments on her work from guests! Carole graciously worked with our busy schedules and even our multiple revisions due to guests moving. We so appreciated her professionalism and friendly disposition! We loved the way the invitations came out so much that we also asked her to do our escort cards in the same style. These came out beautiful and truly made a statement to our guests. I would highly recommend Carole to anyone looking for a professional and talented calligrapher. I will definitely be using her in the future and have already recommended her to all my friends!

Carole was absolutely FABULOUS to work with!! I had seen some of her work prior to getting engaged and made sure to save her information. Shortly after I got engaged, I reached out to her via email and got on her calendar for our big day. She does book up quickly (and rightfully so since her work is BEAUTIFUL) so make sure you do not wait until the last minute to contact her. She is extremely professional and super sweet!!

She made two signature drink chalkboard signs (one for each bar), a beautiful quote board and a welcome sign (which she designed on a mirror that I provided). She made everything super easy as well and didn't need exact wording until about two weeks before the wedding. Everything was done via email and she even sent me photos of different chalkboards she has so I could decide on the exact ones I wanted to use. She was very flexible about a time to pick-up the boards prior to the wedding as well. I promise you cannot go wrong with Carole for any of your calligraphy needs!! Thanks again!!

There are not enough words to describe how awesome Carole is at what she does. Her calligraphy work was used on our invitations, places cards and table settings as well as chalkboards used on the day of. I couldn't stop getting questions about who did our beautiful chalkboards and all of the credit goes to Carole. She was incredibly responsive to all of my questions and made sure to contact me if she had any questions on spelling or wording. I appreciated that attention to detail immensely. She was also very flexible with my schedule and made sure I had everything I needed in time. I would highly recommend her to any bride! Thanks so much Carole!

Wow, I gave my invitations to Carole almost a week after I anticipated. She completed all 150+ inner and outer envelopes perfectly in less than a week. The calligraphy was beautiful! And she was so flexible and accommodating. I received so many complements on her work and there was not a single mistake. I wish I could come up with more reasons to have her do calligraphy for me!

Carole was recommended to me by my future sister in law. She made calligraphy escort cards and signs for our wedding. She was easy to communicate with even though we don't live in the same city. She sent confirmation emails after each change and we were able to rent her chalkboard signs. Her work is beautiful and worth it. We received so many compliments!

Everything about my experience with Calligraphy by Carole was fabulous! She provided the calligraphy for my wedding invitations, and they came out absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! From when I e-mailed her to ask her questions about her service, she was very quick to respond and helpful to show me my options of calligraphy. Then when I sent her the envelopes, her turn around time was very quick, and she was professional in letting me know that my envelopes had arrived and her progress with the project. Just about a week later, a package came to my door. The envelopes were packaged so beautifully, and when I opened them up I was truly blown away. Carole did an amazing job, I would recommend her to anyone for any calligraphy needs!

Carole's work just arrived in the mail and I am blown away by the envelopes for our invitations. Despite the fact that I'm in NYC and she is in North Carolina, Carole has made the calligraphy process seamless, affordable and enjoyable for me. Next up, Carole will be working on my ketubah, so I can't wait to see that! I will review again when I receive it.

I am so happy we worked with Carole. She addressed our wedding invitations, rehearsal invitations, and escort cards. It was so easy and stress-free to work with her. Carole did our place cards for the wedding. We were a little disorganised and didn't arrange the calligraphy until quite late, Carole was great about it. Her work was beautiful and quick and we were thrilled with how they looked.

When the original calligrapher I wanted couldn't fit us into her schedule, she recommended Carole... and I am so glad she did! Carole did a fabulous job of addressing all of our inner and outer envelopes. They were just beautiful. I spent a year planning this wedding for our daughter and worked with several vendors. Carole Murray was the most efficient and easiest to work with. She replied quickly and made herself readily available. Our invitations that Carole addressed were beautiful and we received comments of "gorgeous", "lovely" and "elegant". She, also, did our escort cards and table numbers for the reception. Hiring Carole Murray and using her services was the BEST money that we spent on our entire wedding.

Carole walked me through the etiquette of addressing so I did not have to worry about all the nuances of formal invitations. She was very quick with her turnaround and very reasonably priced for the quality. I got quotes from a couple of other calligraphers and her pricing was by far the best. She has many styles to choose from in addition to what is on her website and I'm sure she could custom create your own style- she is talented! I also loved that she was super organized- she returned my envelopes in the exact same order as the address list, very neat, and all perfectly spaced. I was very impressed! She also keeps the extras in case you forget someone or need a redo on an address- I had the wrong zip code for one guest and Carole had an envelope waiting on her porch the same day! Super easy, very professional, and really took a huge stress off my plate! Highly recommend her services! Thank you, Carole!

I had a perfect experience working with Carole. She worked around my time and location concerns since we live an hour away from her business and the invitations were on a tight schedule since we experienced delays. She was more than happy to accommodate and was extremely kind, personable, and patient with us. Her prices are very fair and she did exactly what I had envisioned, perfectly. She presented numerous calligraphy styles from which to choose, all beautiful. Her attention to detail, commitment and responsiveness were superb. Carole was especially attuned to my desire for the envelopes and place cards to not be too formal. Carole was amazing to work with and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great calligrapher! She addressed all of my wedding invitations and they were absolutely beautiful! So many of my guests commented on how amazing the invitations were and Carole's beautiful calligraphy was the perfect finishing touch. She is very knowledgable about all of the proper etiquette and you don't have to worry about anything! She was so easy to work with! We were able to coordinate almost everything through email in a very timely manner. I ran into a problem with the company that I had ordered my invitations from, they did not send inner envelopes! Carole was flexible and very quick to return my envelopes once I had them to her! She was so wonderful!

Carole's calligraphy was professional and beautiful. She was recommended to me by my wedding planner, and I'm so pleased with the results. Carole was prompt with email responses as well as with the finished product, and the quality was excellent. She even went out of her way to complete a few extra at the last minute that I had forgotten, very flexible. The calligraphy was perfect and they were all consistent. Calligraphy on invitations sets a classy tone for your special event. I had Carole from Calligraphy by Carole address the inner and outer envelopes for my wedding inviations (165 invitations). Her work is absolutely amazing!! My family and I could not be happier with how the calligraphy turned out - it is beautiful! We picked them up from her on Monday afternoon and after checking all of them to make sure they were correct, we found two small errors. I emailed her Wednesday morning and she had the two invitations redone and ready for us by lunch the very same day. She was so easy to work with and the quality of her work is excellent. I will be using Carole for any and all calligraphy needs going forward.

The invitations and are the first impression and set the tone for the entire event. Carole enhanced the invites by providing a professional and thoughtful look to the envelopes. They were done with care and it showed.

Finding a reasonably priced, quality calligrapher in Chicago is not easy to do; so I looked online hoping to find one further away who I could trust to meet our needs. Carole was everything I could hope for in a wedding vendor and more! First, let me say that her work is absolutely gorgeous! The compliments started rolling in within days of mailing the invitations. Second, she is very thorough in handling the guest list. She caught an error or two on my part and was willing to address the envelopes in the manner that suited our list of friends & family. Third, she was quick both in responding to email and in getting the job done. Her level of professionalism was particularly striking, as Carole seemed genuinely interested in the quality of our invitations. In preparing for the wedding, I have encountered a certain veneer with some wedding vendors who initially pretend to care about the 'special day' and then show their real just-give-me-your-money colors. Carole is not one of those! I would both use her services again and strongly recommend her to anyone looking for high-end calligraphy at a reasonable price. Thank you Carole!

We were in a bind and needed to have save-the-dates addressed and ready to be mailed in 1 1/2 weeks. We tried 3 other calligraphers before finding Carole. We had chosen black envelopes with gold ink and had a unique layout for the addresses. One calligrapher reprimanded us for choosing black envelopes and for not providing more time, and another calligrapher said it would be difficult to accomplish. The third calligrapher just couldn't produce the layout we wanted. We were then referred to Carole by our wedding planner. Carole was excited about working with black envelopes and gold ink, did not have an issue with the address layout, and was able to complete our project in the 1 1/2 week deadline. The envelopes turned out EXACTLY the way we had envisioned. What was truly wonderful about Carole was her ability to see our vision and her genuine excitement about working on this project. She was EXTREMELY responsive, flexible, professional and accommodating. She was able to guide us on etiquette and answered all of our questions. We have hired her to do our invitation envelopes, and look forward to working with her again.

Working with Carole was the easiest part of planning my 500+ person wedding. She managed to pump out over 300 invitations in under two weeks. I had a lot of last minute add-ons and address changes...which I thought would be a probelm...but it wasn't at all.

Very easy to work with and the calligraphy was worth every penny.

Carole did the calligraphy for the wedding invitations for our daughter. I was extremely impressed with Carole's professionalism, her responsiveness, and her ability/willingness to become part of the team. Carole was always responsive to e-mails. However, more than that, she provided valuable input on etiquette (in a polite and supportive way). I was so impressed with Carole's services that I offered to provide recommendations. She did not ask me to make this recommendation until I had offered.
Carole is a consummate professional. She know what she is doing, but she is also sensitive to the desires of her clients. It was an absolute delight to work with her (by long distance--I have never met her) and I give her my highest recommendation. You will be well served to use Carol for calligraphy.

Carole did an amazing job on our invitations! All of our guests have commented on how gorgeous they are. I think they defintely set the formal tone that we wanted. She was very prompt in returning them to us, and she even addressed some last minute invitations that we sent out late. We decided that it was well worth the money to not have the headache of addressing each invite. I definitely recommend her services to any bride.

Carole addressed the envelopes and did place cards for my daughter's wedding in May 2011. All of Carole's work was beautiful and I was more than pleased with everything. Carole addressed rehearsal dinner invitations for our 2 sons' weddings as well as calligraphing place cards for approximately 115 guests at one rehearsal dinner and 145 guests at another rehearsal dinner. I had the pleasure of using Carole to address my wedding invitations and she was a complete joy!
